Chapter 16: Two Supreme Queens

Academia – Osiris Red Dorm (Team 5)

Serena, Dennis, Johan and Pharaoh managed to get out of Daitokuji's lab and back outside where they noticed the tornado forming west of them.

"Okay, that's not normal." Dennis pointed at the tornado.

"What the heck is going on over there?" Johan wondered.

"Meow…" Pharoah meowed in Serena's arms and put his paw on her bracelet which was blinking.

"I don't like this…" Serena admitted.

"Let's just rendezvous with the others." Johan suggested.

Team 1

As Tsukikage retraced where he was, he found Jonouchi and Akari knocked out on the beach. "Jonouchi! Akari!" Tsukikage rushed toward them and knelt down to them.

"U-Urgh…Tsukikage…" Jonouchi opened his eyes.

"What happened here?" Tsukikage asked.

"I don't know. We just saw that huge tornado and then we got hit really hard." Akari answered.

"It was Yuzu, it had to be…" Jonouchi shook his head. "There was no one else around."

"Yuzu, but why?" Tsukikage asked.

Academia – Main Entrance

"Looks like we're the first ones here." Manjoume said as they arrived at the main entrance.

"So, should we just wait until the others get here?" Aki asked.

"Come on, people this way! The boats are over here!" Coming out of the main entrance was Sawatari, Edo, Benjiro, Jim and O'Brien.

"Hey, what are you guys doing? We're supposed to go into the castle?" Rua asked.

"These are prisoners, Rua. We're taking them off this island." Sawatari answered. "Wait, it's just you guys, I thought the others would be here as well?"

"So did we." Aki got worried as she saw some of the conditions the prisoners were in.

Near the Abandoned Dorm

Gongenzaka weakly walked slowly as he was still exhausted from his Duel with Titan. "Got to get to Yuya…" Gongenzaka panted.

"Rin?! Gongenzaka?! Where are you guys?!" Gongenzaka heard Crow.

"Crow!" Gongenzaka shouted and Crow came into view.

"Gongenzaka, what happened to you?" Crow saw Gongenzaka's condition.

"I fought the Duelist that was stationed at the pillar. Where's Rin?" Gongenzaka asked.

"She's not with you? Damn it! I can't lose her again!" Crow didn't want to reexperience that painful part ever again.

"We'll find here, let's just—" Gongenzaka groaned in pain.

"You're in no condition. Come on, I'm getting you to the boats." Crow helped Gongenzaka. "Rin, wherever you are, please be okay."

Gravekeeper Ruins

Rio made it to the Gravekeeper Ruins where she saw Shun knocked out near the tornado. "Shun!" Rio braced herself as she endured the harsh winds and made it to Shun.

"Shun? Wake up! Shun!" Rio shook Shun and he opened his eyes. "Shun, what happened here?"

"It's Rin…something isn't right with her. She attacked me and trapped herself and Ruri in there." Shun grunted.

Rio closed her eyes and she held her hand out to activate her Chaos and she started to freeze the tornado but the wind became too much and the ice shattered. "This thing is stronger than my Barian powers." Rio grunted.

"Ruri…" Shun looked at the tornado.

Ruri vs Rin

Rin LP: 4000, Hand: 5

Ruri prepared herself for a tough fight as Rin looked ready to strike her down. "And so, begins humanity's final hours! I'll go first! Draw!" Rin drew her card.

"I summon Wind Witch – Ice Bell (ATK: 1000, LV: 3)!" Rin summoned her witch. "Ice Bell's Monster Effect! When it's summoned, the opponent takes 500 points of damage!" Ice Bell unleashed her ice storm and struck Ruri.

Ruri LP: 4000→3500

"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Bell Chime of the Wind Witch! When I have a Wind Witch monster on my field, I can Special Summon a Wind Witch monster with a different name from my deck in Defense Position! Appear! Tuner Monster, Wind Witch – Glass Bell (DEF: 1500, LV: 4)!" Rin summoned another of her witches.

"When Glass Bell is summoned or Special Summoned, I can add one Wind Witch monster from my deck to my hand!" Rin added another card from her deck to her hand.

"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Ice Bell with my Level 4 Glass Bell!" Glass Bell turned into four green rings as Ice Bell flew through them and became three stars.

"With your beautiful wings that change along with the season, strike down the enemies that pollute your territory! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Rin summoned Cyclone Dragon.

Cyclone Dragon roared and Ruri started to sweat. "I set two cards and end my turn!" Rin finished her turn. "Now call her out! Call out Lyrical Eagle!"

Rin LP: 4000, Hand: 3
Ruri LP: 3500, Hand: 5

"My turn! Draw!" Ruri drew her card. "Even though my best chance of defeating Cyclone is with Lyrical Eagle, I don't have the cards to call her out yet."

"I summon Lyrical Luscinia – Emerald Eagle in Defense Position (DEF: 1800, LV: 3)!" Ruri summoned her emerald eagle.

"Since I have a Lyrical Luscinia on my field, I can Special Summon Lyrical Luscinia Amethyst Falcon (ATK: 1200, LV: 3)!" Ruri summoned her bird monster with amethyst wings.

"Next, from my hand I activate the Continuous Magic: Lyrical Luscinia Nest! When I have two or more Lyrical Luscinia monsters on my field, I can add a Lyrical Luscinia monster from my deck to my hand! I add Lyrical Luscinia – Crimson Cardinal!" Ruri added the monster to her hand.

"Crimson Cardinal can be Special Summoned by sending one Lyrical card from my hand to the Graveyard!" Ruri sent a card from her hand to the Graveyard. "Appear! Lyrical Luscinia Crimson Cardinal (1000, LV: 3)!" Ruri summoned a cardinal with crimson wings.

"I Overlay my Level 3 Crimson Cardinal, Emerald Eagle and Amethyst Falcon!" The three monsters turned into green lights and entered the spacelike portal in front of Ruri.

"Birds with wings of justice! Soar over the battlefield and protect your comrades form your foes! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 3! Lyrical Luscinia – Falcon Nightingale (ATK: 1800, RNK: 3, OVU: 3)!" Rin summoned her falcon Xyz Monster.

"When Crimson Cardinal is used as Xyz Material, the Xyz Monster's Attack Points are doubled!" Ruri revealed as Falcon Nightingale gained power.

Falcon Nightingale (ATK: 1800→3600)

"Battle! Falcon Nightingale, attack Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon! Falcon Hurricane!" Falcon Nightingale spun her body and flapped her wings to create a hurricane.

"This wind is pathetic before me!" Rin shouted. "I activate the Trap Card: Freezing Torrent! When I have a Wind Witch monster on my field, I can select one monster on my opponent's field and reduce its Attack Points in half until the End Phase of this turn!" A freezing torrent struck Falcon Nightingale, making her weaker.

Falcon Nightingale (ATK: 3600→1800)

"From my Graveyard, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Lyrical Rush!" Ruri shouted. "When this card is in my Graveyard and my monster's Attack Points are changed during battle, I can change my monster's attack to a direct attack! Go! Falcon Nightingale!" Falcon Nightingale rushed and dodged Cyclone Dragon's strike and struck Rin.

Rin LP: 4000→2200

"You bitch…" Rin cursed.

"I set two cards and end my turn." Ruri finished her turn.

"At this moment, Freezing Torrent's effect ends and your monster's Attack Points return to normal." Rin gritted her teeth.

Falcon Nightingale (ATK: 1800→3600)

Rin LP: 2200, Hand: 3
Ruri LP: 3500, Hand: 0

"My turn! Draw!" Rin drew her card and smiled. "I activate the Magic Card: Wind of the Future!"

"That card!" Ruri's eyes widened.

"That's right. This card allows me to Special Summon two monsters whose combined Level is lower than Cyclone Dragon's from my hand! Appear! Wind Witch – Freeze Bell (ATK: 1200, LV: 3)! And Wind Witch – Grave Bell (ATK: 200, LV: 2)!" Rin summoned two more witches.

Rin opened her Extra Deck slot and took out a familiar card. "This card can be Synchro Summoned by releasing a Synchro Monster and two Special Summoned Wind Attribute Monsters!" Rin smiled while making Ruri step back.

"I'm Tuning my Level 3 Freeze Bell and Level 2 Ice Bell with my Level 7 Cyclone Dragon!" Cyclone Dragon turned into seven green rings and Freeze Bell and Ice Bell flew through them together and made five stars.

"Goddess that controls the winds, bless this dragon with your power and have us fly to the future we desire! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 12! Supreme Queen Dragon – Shinatsuhiko (ATK: 3500, LV: 12)!" Rin summoned her strongest Supreme Queen Dragon.

"Shinatsuhiko gains 500 Attack Points for every non-Tuner Monster in my Graveyard! I have four so that's a total of 2000 Attack Points!" Rin revealed as Shinatsuhiko powered up.

Shinatsuhiko (ATK: 3500→5500)

"Battle! Shinatsuhiko, attack Falcon Nightingale! Wind of Purity!" Shinatsuhiko created a powerful wind that headed for Falcon Nightingale and destroyed it, sending Rin skidding backwards.

Ruri LP: 3500→1800

"I activate Falcon Nightingale's effect! When this card is destroyed in battle while it has Overlay Units, I can Special Summon those monsters that were Overlay Units from my Graveyard with their Levels raised by 1! Revive! Amethyst Falcon (ATK: 1200, LV: 3→4)! Emerald Eagle (ATK: 400, LV: 3→4)! And Crimson Cardinal (ATK: 1000, LV: 3→4)! Ruri brought back her monsters.

"Good, now you have the materials to call out Lyrical Eagle." Rin smiled. "I end my turn! Now call her out!"

"She's right, the only way to beat Shinatsuhiko is to call out Lyrical Eagle Dragon. But I…" Ruri had flashbacks of her being possessed by Lyrical Eagle and attacking Shun.

Doctor's Lab

The Doctor was watching the events unfold from his laboratory. "This is interesting…those beasts have more power than my parasites. If I can just get one of them here. Hm?" Doctor saw Yuya and Atem running towards the tornado and Serena, Johan and Dennis heading for the main entrance.

"Doctor?! Get out here!" Asuka was in another room close to his lab.

"Guess I'll have to get my hands dirty. But…I want a bit of a challenge." The Doctor pressed a button on his console before walking away.

Yuya and Atem

As Yuya and Atem rushed towards the tornado, Yuya recalled what Genesis said to him when she gave him Rin's and Yuzu's bracelets.

"If nature overwhelms the world, even beasts like me are doomed to death." Genesis said.

"Rin can't be doing this on her own. There's no way she's like this. It's gotta be her dragon, but why are they doing this now? Especially after all they've been through." Yuya thought.

A hidden trap door then opened at Yuya's feet and he fell through. "Yuya!" Atem reached and grabbed Yuya's hand but he lost his balance and he fell in with Yuya.

Team 5

"There's the entrance!" Dennis ran forward.

"Looks like we've done it! Let's charge in!" Johan ran.

"Guys, wait! I'm carrying a cat here!" Serena ran with Pharaoh still in her arms. However, a trap door opened below her and she fell through with Johan and Dennis unaware of what happened.

Parasite Laboratory

"Doctor! Get out here! Doctor!" Asuka shouted.

"Please keep your voice down." Doctor appeared before Asuka. "I need silence if I'm to evolve my research."

"I don't care about your parasites. Because of your parasites, my brother, Momoe and Junko." Asuka said.

"They had a choice. They had to be loyal to the professor willingly and they would have been spared from my surgery. But alas, like your brother and friends, some of you are too stupid to accept the easy way out." Doctor insulted, making Asuka grit her teeth.

"Well, since you're here and obviously a threat to my research, I cannot let you leave here alive." Doctor said.

"That's fine with me, when I take you out, you won't hurt anyone ever again!" Asuka raised her Duel Disk and activated it.

"Oh silly, girl. I'm not Dueling you. No, no…I promised someone else that they would be the first to take you on. We're ready." Doctor called to the other side of the room.

Walking into the room was a man with long black hair, glasses and wearing a teacher's uniform. "Hello, Tenjoin-kun."

"Huh? Wait, aren't you…Satou-sensei?" Asuka recognized him when she was a spy in Academia.

"I'm glad that you remember me, my star student." Satou smiled.

Asuka glared at the Doctor. "Stop sending innocent people into this, Doctor! I want to Duel you!"

"You misunderstand, Asuka. I'm not under the Parasite Fusioner's control." Satou said. "I came here on my own free will." Satou removed his coat and loosened his tie. "All teachers have an order given by the Professor. Eliminate those that oppose Academia."

"Satou-sensei…you don't have to do this! We can turn Duel Academia back to normal!" Asuka said.

"This is the normal Academia. Here the students listen to my lectures and respect me in the highest regard. However, students like yourself and Serena who are brilliant students despite not even trying in my class have become irksome." Satou said. "Furthermore, you broke my heart when you were outed as a spy."

"Satou-sensei. I really am sorry, but I'm doing the right thing, I know it! The Doctor must be eliminated and if you get in my way." Asuka put her deck in her Duel Disk. "I'll defeat you!"

"Even though you are the enemy, I admire your resolve." Satou activated his Duel Disk and put his deck in it.

Isolated Chamber

In an empty room with stone walls, one of the hidden passages opened and Yuya and Atem fell right into the room "Whoa!" Yuya landed with grace while Atem stumbled but he kept his footing.

"What the? Where are we?" Yuya looked around.

"Not a good place if there's no doors and only walls." Atem looked around.

"Damn it, we don't have time—" Yuya cursed.

Another passage opened and Serena screamed as she and Pharaoh fell into the room with Serena losing her grip on Pharoah sending poor cat flying.

"Whoa!" Atem caught the cat while Serena crashed into Yuya.

"Ow…I wasn't expecting that." Serena winced. She looked up to see Atem holding Pharaoh.

"Uh, here's your cat." Atem held out Pharoah.

"Who are you? Wait, that's an Obelisk Force uniform!" Serena got alarmed.

"No, I've defected! I'm on your side!" Atem quickly spoke. "Yuya can vouch for me."

"Yuya?" You know Yuya?! Where is he?!" Serena asked.

"Uh…" Atem pointed down. Serena looked down and she noticed that she was sitting right on Yuya's face.

"Yuya!" Serena smiled as she got off him. "Huh? What's wrong, Yuya? Why are you all red?"

"Does she not realize what just happened?" Atem thought.

The reason why Yuya was all red was because Serena landed on his face and she was wearing a gray skirt, so of course, Yuya saw Serena's…

"I-I'm sorry…" Yuya turned away from Serena and covered his nose as some blood was coming out.

"What are you apologizing for?" Serena didn't see what the problem was.

"W-Well…you're in a skirt…so…" Yuya tried to explain.

"So?" Serena tilted her head in confusion.

"N-Never mind…" Yuya gave up.

"Heh, these two are funny." Atem smiled. "They would make a good couple."

Asuka vs Satou

"Duel!" Asuka and Satou declared.

"My turn! Draw!" Satou drew his card. "I summon Scab Scar Knight (ATK: 0, LV: 4)!" Satou summoned a warrior in armor and dark aura. "I set one card and end my turn!"

Asuka LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"A monster with 0 Attack Points?" Asuka thought. "No, this guy is a teacher, he wouldn't summon it without a reason. It must have an effect."

"My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card. "I summon Etoile Cyber (ATK: 1200, LV: 4)!" Asuka summoned her gymnastic warrior.

"Etoile Cyber, attack Scab Scar Knight! Arabesque Attack!" Etoile Cyber spun on her feet before striking Scab Scar Knight and damaging Satou.

Satou LP: 4000→2800

However, Scab Scar Knight remained on the field and some pieces of its armor went to Etoile Cyber. "What?" Asuka was confused.

"Scab Scar Knight cannot be destroyed in battle! Furthermore, it's Monster Effect activates now! Scab Curse!" Scab Scar Knight released a dark aura that engulfed Etoile Cyber and made it jump to the other side.

"Etoile Cyber!" Asuka called out as her monster faced her as the enemy.

"My Scab Scar Knight's effect! When it battles, I can place a Scab Counter on the monster that it battled and then at the end of the Battle Phase, I can take control of that monster!" Satou revealed.

"So that's it's effect." Asuka looked at her hand. "But I'm not out of options. From my hand, I activate the Ritual Magic: Machine Angel Absolute Ritual! I release the Level 6 Cyber Angel – Benten in my hand!" Cyber Angel Benten appeared on the altar before turning into six flames.

"Angel of light hiding limitless potential! Appear on this stage with graceful moves! Ritual Summon! Descend! Level 6! Cyber Angel – Idaten (DEF: 2000, LV: 6)!" Asuka summoned her purple Cyber Angel.

"When this monster is Ritual Summoned, I can add one Ritual Magic from my deck or Graveyard to my hand! Furthermore, if Cyber Angel Benten is released, I can add one Light Fairy monster from my deck to my hand!" Asuka added two more cards to her hand.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Asuka finished her turn.

Satou LP: 2800, Hand: 4
Asuka LP: 4000, Hand: 3

"My turn! Draw!" Satou drew his card. "You did well in establishing a defense after your monster was taken, but it won't help you against this card. I activate the Magic Card: Hammer Shot! This card destroys one monster on the field with the highest Attack Points! And the one with the highest Attack Points is…Cyber Angel – Idaten!" A large hammer crushed Idaten.

"Next, I summon Demand Man (ATK: 800, LV: 3)!" Satou summoned large warrior in an animal costume. "Demand Man! Direct Attack Asuka!" Demand Man jumped in the air and punched Asuka hard, making her scream.

Asuka LP: 4000→3200

"Next, Etoile Cyber! Direct Attack! Etoile Cyber's Monster Effect! When it attacks the opponent directly, it gains 500 Attack Points!" Satou used Asuka's monster to attack.

Etoile Cyber (ATK: 1200→1700)

Etoile Cyber kicked her owner hard in the stomach, knocking Asuka off her feet.

Asuka LP: 3200→1500

"I set one card and end my turn!" Satou finished his turn. "To be honest, I'm disappointed. How can you expect to save your friends Dueling like that?"

"Wh-What?" Asuka sat up. Satou smiled and snapped his fingers to show a screen in front of Asuka and her eyes widened in horror.

Isolated Chamber

When Asuka took damage, water suddenly burst into the chamber, filling the room up. "This isn't good!" Atem said.

"Hey! Anyone!" Serena banged on the walls.

"Come on, break!" Yuya tried punching the walls. The water soon reached to their knees.

"There's a lot of cracks on this wall! Maybe we can break it!" Atem pointed to a wall with numerous cracks.

"Okay, let's—" Yuya fell forward and into the water.

"Yuya!" Serena ran to him and pulled him up.

"What the?" Yuya tried to move his right leg but it wouldn't move. "Why can't I move my leg?"

Serena held her breath and looked under the water and she saw a cuff with a chain trapped Yuya's ankle.

"Atem! There's a cuff trapping Yuya!" Serena called out.

"Then let's break it!" Atem grabbed a large rock and so did Serena. Both of them held their breath and started smashing the chain, but it wouldn't break as the water was making it harder for them to use their full strength.

"Guys, safe yourselves!" Yuya shouted as Serena and Atem remerge and the water was at their chests.

"No way! I'm not leaving you!" Serena argued. The water kept coming in but while Atem, Serena and Pharaoh were able to float, Yuya was still stuck at the bottom and the water complete submerged him. "No!"

Atem activated his Duel Disk. "Come! Black Magician! Black Magician Girl!" Atem summoned his magicians. "Save Yuya!" Both of the magicians went underwater and fired a blast at the chain, but it still didn't break.

"Master, the chain won't break." Black Magician Girl answered.

"Damn it!" Atem cursed.

"We will create an air bubble!" Black Magician and Black Magician Girl raised their staffs and an air bubble formed around Yuya, making him breathe.

"Oh, thank god…" Yuya gasped.

"Unfortunately, we can only hold it for so long." Black Magician admitted.

"Whoever is Dueling out there, hurry up and win!" Serena shouted.

Asuka vs Satou

"Yuya! Serena!" Asuka called out.

"With every Life Point you lose, the chamber they are in will fill up with water. And if you're Life Points reach 0…well, Serena is important to Academia's plans, so we won't kill her but Yuya might not be able to make it." Satou said.

"That air bubble will only last so long. And when it goes, Yuya will run out of air and then, your mission will be complete Asuka. You'll have successfully killed all of the Dragon Soldiers and the ARC Area Project can move forward without any interruptions. As expected from my star student." Satou smiled.

Asuka trembled as she saw Yuya underwater, struggling to get the chain off of him before his bubble disappeared. She then clenched her fists and lowered her head.

"Why do you all…why do you all smile about killing an innocent child!" Asuka's eyes changed to gold.

"That child is in the way of our utopia. He is far from innocent. But you can still have a place in the utopia as well. An Academia of your design, with your friends, new and old and your brother. It'll be perfect." Satou smiled.

Asuka LP: 1500, Hand: 3

"Screw your utopia!" Asuka released a death glare at Satou. "I won't forgive anyone who hurts my cute Yuya! My turn! Draw!" Asuka drew her card.

"I activate the Magic Card: Fall of the Angel! By banishing one Machine Angel Ritual and one Cyber Angel Ritual Monster from my hand, I can add the Ritual Magic: Machine Fallen Angel Ritual and a Cyber Fallen Angel Ritual monster from my Deck to my hand! But I'm only allowed to Ritual Summon this turn!" Asuka banished her two cards from earlier and gained new ones.

"Cyber Fallen Angel? I've never heard of those." Satou was surprised.

"I won't let anyone kill Yuya! I activate the Ritual Magic: Machine Fallen Angel Ritual! This card allows me to Ritual Summon a Cyber Fallen Angel monster by banishing materials from my Graveyard or hand! I banish Cyber Angel Benten from my Graveyard!" Cyber Angel Benten appeared on the before turning into six blue flames.

"Angel that has fallen from heaven! Unleash the power of your lightning and show your form! Ritual Summon! Descend! Level 6! Cyber Fallen Angel – Baraquiel (ATK: 2400, LV: 6)!" Asuka summoned a male fallen angel releasing lightning.

"Scab Scar Knight is a monster that forces me to battle, but you have more targets on the field! Battle! Baraquiel, attack Demand Man! Holy Lightning!" Baraquiel unleashed his lightning on Demand Man.

"Naïve! I activate my Counter Trap: Victim Barrier!" Satou played his set card. "When an opposing monster has launched an attack, it changes the attack target! Now you will attack Etoile Cyber!" Etoile Cyber took the attack and screamed as she was destroyed.

Satou LP: 2800→1600

"Furthermore, if the attack target had a Scab Counter on it, I can place a Scab Counter on the attacking monster!" Scab Scar Knight sent its armor towards Baraquiel.

"You're the one who's naïve!" Asuka shouted. "Continuous Trap: Fallen Armored Wing!" Baraquiel opened up its black wings and they became encased with armor and they protected him from Scab Scar Knight's pieces of armor.

"What?!" Satou exclaimed.

"As long as this card is on the field, my Cyber Fallen Angel's cannot be affected by card effects and once per turn, I can inflict damage to you equal to the Level of my Cyber Fallen Angels times 100! Punish this pathetic Duelist, Baraquiel!" Baraquiel charged in and struck Satou with its armored wings, making him fall to his knees.

Satou LP: 1600→1000

"With this, I've sealed your Scab Scar Knight's effect." Asuka said. "I'm done trying to reason with scum like you! Just like I've done with Yusho Sakaki, I will kill anyone who harms my cute Yuya!"

"Why are you so protective of that boy?" Satou asked. "He's a threat to Academia. No…not only Academia, but all Four Dimensions!"

"Where's your proof?" Asuka asked.

"You've seen him. The God Card, Osiris. Accel Synchro. The True Rank-Up. He has reached the apex of Dueling that the Standard, Synchro and Xyz Dimensions has to offer. If he reaches the Fusion Dimension's apex, he'll be too powerful!" Satou shouted.

"If you're saying Yuya would lose control of all that power, he won't! And even if he did, the Dimension Guardians will be there to remind him of who he is!" Asuka argued.

"But can you protect him from the entire world?" Satou questioned. "He may be a hero to most people but eventually when a something or someone is seen as too powerful…It is seen as a threat and then the world becomes its enemy."

"Even if you defeat Academia and stop the ARC Area Project, in time the people that look up to Yuya will feel threatened by his power and even fear him. And when another disaster strikes, the world will become Yuya's enemy." Satou revealed.

"Now do you understand, no matter what you do, in time, Yuya will eventually have to be taken out! That's why we must defeat him now before he gains our dimension's powerful Fusion Summon! So, lend us your power, Asuka! And together we can—"

"Ridiculous." Asuka said. "Even if what you say is true…I'm standing by Yuya until the very end! I set one card and end my turn!"

Ruri vs Rin

Ruri LP: 1800, Hand: 0

"Hurry up, call her out!" Rin shouted at Ruri.

Ruri looked down at her Duel Disk. "Hey, Lyrical Eagle Dragon, why are you against humanity now? What changed?"

"Ruri…I'm not only in the dragon that represents birds but I represent all animals." Lyrical Eagle explained.

"I thought with these four dimensions, we would be able to live in peace, but the Fusion Dimension destroyed the Xyz Dimension. My beloved animals would be hunted for food and used for clothes. I understand the need for them, but all of this has been senseless." Lyrical Eagle continued.

"Even if this war ends in Academia being defeated, soon the next conflict will happen and more and more of my innocent creatures will be dragged into it. All of this was caused by humans who chose to cause this to happen while animals simply do what nature tells them to. That's why I've given up on humanity." Lyrical Eagle finished.

"I won't lie to you; we have done some terrible things." Ruri admitted. "And we have used you as tools in order to protect ourselves. You have every right to be disgusted by us."

"But even so…everyone deserves a second chance. The Xyz Dimension and Fusion Dimensions that were once enemies are on the path to becoming friends, the proof is myself, Serena, Shun, Dennis, Rio and Asuka…and I promise you, I'll do what I can to make sure all the animals get to keep living happy lives alongside humans." Ruri begged.

"Ruri…you're a kind girl but…my mind is made up. Humanity must be eradicated and no one can stop me." Lyrical Eagle said.

"What about Dark Rebellion?" Ruri asked making Lyrical Eagle gasp. "Do you think Dark Rebellion would agree to this? I know you two are very close."

Fusion Dimension – Guardian Ship (Before the Battle)

Lyrical Eagle was looking at the nigh sky was some birds flew over her. "Hey, Lyrical Eagle!" Lyrical Eagle turned to see Dark Rebellion.

"Dark Rebellion, shouldn't you be resting?" Lyrical Eagle asked.

"Nah, I'm too excited about these next battles." Dark Rebellion said. "I'm ready to go all out and save the world!" Lyrical Eagle giggled at Dark Rebellion's antics. He could be such a child.

"Hey, Dark Rebellion, can I ask you something?" Lyrical Eagle asked.

"What is it?" Dark Rebellion asked.

"What are your feelings towards humanity?" Lyrical Eagle asked.

"Humanity? What do you mean?" Dark Rebellion asked.

"Well, they destroyed your card and your owner from the Xyz Dimension. And this war has created nothing but chaos and destruction. It's understandable if you hate them." Lyrical Eagle said.

"Nah, I don't hate humanity." Dark Rebellion answered honestly.

"But they—" Lyrical Eagle was gonna argue.

"That's how life works. I mean if everything were going perfect, then life would be boring. I mean, a boring world where everything is fine, is not a world that I want to live in. I want to live in a place that's exciting and changes every day. Sure, this war has brought a lot of pain, but some good does come out of it. Yuya makes some new friends, we get new powers and we improve ourselves every day." Dark Rebellion answered.

"I'm not sure where all this negativity is coming from, but it doesn't suite you. Instead of looking at all the bad that humanity has done, think of all the good that it's done. It led you to Ruri. It reunited us. It proves that together, we can accomplish anything. Because whether we admit it or not, without humans, none of us, Duel Monsters would never have existed." Dark Rebellion said.

Ruri vs Rin

"Ruri…summon me, I want to tell Cyclone something." Lyrical Eagle said. Ruri nodded her head.

"My turn! Draw!" Ruri drew her card. "I Overlay my Level 4 Crimson Cardinal and Emerald Eagle!" The two monsters turned into green lights and entered the spacelike portal in front of Ruri.

"Wings of the ancients! Erase the darkness of the battlefield and bring back the light! Descend now! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 4! The mighty leader of the Lyrical Luscinia! Lyrical Eagle Dragon (ATK: 2500, RNK: 4, OVU: 2)!" Ruri summoned her dragon.

"It's here! Now Lyrical Eagle let's—" Rin smiled.

"Cyclone, listen to me!" Lyrical Eagle spoke. "We're wrong! We cannot erase humanity!"

"What?!" Rin, or rather Cyclone, growled.

"We've only been looking at the bad side of humanity that we ignored all of the good that they've done." Lyrical Eagle said. "While it's true that some of my brethren were killed and have lost their homes, some of them have found a home to live alongside humans. Humans have also tried to rescue animals as well and they have doctors that specialize in healing them."

"So, what?! What have humans done for me!" Cyclone argued. "They polluted my air!"

"But they are trying to create new ways without relying on factories and they are making progress, slowly but steadily." Lyrical Eagle said.

"That's…urgh…" Cyclone growled. "It doesn't matter what you say! We're still gonna eradicate humanity and you can't stop us!"

"You're right. I can't stop you, but we can!" Lyrical Eagle Dragon glowed and released a yellow light.

"What?" Rin gasped.

"Lyrical Eagle…" Ruri saw the yellow light go into the card that she just drew.

"Ruri…help me stop him!" Lyrical Eagle begged.

"I understand! I activate the Hyper Rank Up Magic – Ultimate Bird Force!" Ruri let out a roar as the light started to dissipate the tornado.

Shun and Rio were surprised when the tornado died down and it showed Ruri and Rin. "Ruri!" Shun and Rio shouted.

"When I have Lyrical Eagle Dragon on the field, this card Ranks her up into a Rank 12 Xyz Dragon-type monster using her and this card as material!" Lyrical Eagle flew into the sky into the sky.

"Dragon that represents all animal life on earth! Appear before us on this battlefield and become the protector of tomorrow! Hyper Rank Up Xyz Change! Appear! Rank 12! Dragon purified by the compassion of humans! Supreme Princess Yellow Dragon – Lyrical Rhiannon Dragon (ATK: 4000, RNK: 12, OVU: 4)!" Ruri summoned a yellow dragon as animals from the smallest insect to the largest elephant appeared along with her.

"What?! Supreme Princess Dragon?!" Rin questioned.

"Cyclone, we have a lot to learn about the good in humans, and until we do, we don't deserve the title of Supreme Queen." Rhiannon Dragon roared.

"We do deserve the title and all humans must die!" Shinatsuhiko roared back.

And that is the end of Chapter 16. Sorry I didn't update yesterday; we were celebrating 4th of July and we had a lot of fun with family.
