Chapter Eighteen: Family Time

The eighth came quickly. Frances awoke in Malphas' arms as usual. She greeted him with an excited good morning kiss. She quickly made her way off the bed. She skipped to her closet, her light blue nightgown swishing around her legs. She passed the butler his uniform. He took it with a quiet chuckle. She pulled out a light blue day dress with matching heels. Malphas placed his hand on her shoulder, turning her around. She met his amused eyes. He leaned close to her ear.

"Allow me to dress you, my darling."

She smiled.

"All right."

In a quick flash, she was dressed. She smiled. She leaned up and kissed the demon's cheek, his butler uniform on as well. She landed back down on the flat ground.

"You are amazing, my demon."

He smirked. A warble escaped his lips. He gently caressed her cheek.

"As you are beautiful, my precious mate."

She blushed prettily. She took his hand off her cheek. She lifted it to her lips and placed a kiss upon it. He smiled at her. He picked up her suitcase, took her hand, and led her out the room. He led her to the first landing on the stairs. The servants were already waiting at the bottom of the stairs. Finny quickly climbed up the stairs and arrived before them just as they reached the landing. Sebastian passed him her suitcase.

"Thank you, Finny." Frances said.

"You're welcome, Frances." Finny said, smiling brightly.

He went back down the stairs. Sebastian and Frances turned to each other.

"I shall return soon, my darling."

She nodded.

"Of course."

He smiled. He released her hand, turned, and ascended the stairs to wake and dress the Young Master. Frances made her way down the stairs. She walked to the salon. Little Man Tanaka opened the door.

"Thank you, Tanaka."

"Ho, ho, ho."

She sat on the chair that was next to the window. She smiled as she looked at the bright blue sky. She placed a hand on her heart as she could feel her siblings' excitement. Her smiled widened. She continued to stare contentedly out the window.

Soon enough, Malphas called for her to meet him in the foyer. She stood from the chair and made her way to the foyer. Just as she entered, the servants greeted the Young Master as he descended from the stairs with Sebastian following him. The Young Master greeted them back. He met her eyes. He nodded. She nodded back. He approached her. Once by her side, she turned and walked beside him to the door. The servants followed after them. Sebastian placed the Young Master's luggage into the awaiting carriage. Frances and the Young Master turned to the servants. Frances hugged each of them, bidding them goodbye.

"Goodbye, Mey-rin. Take care of yourself and the mansion."

"Yes, Frances. Have fun on your trip, yes!"

She smiled.

"Thank you, Mey-rin."

She turned to Finny. He wrapped his arms around her tightly. She could feel his tears on her shoulder as well as feel his concern and worry, though he was attempting to quiet his sobs.

"Don't worry, Finny. Everything will be okay. We'll bring back the Young Master safe and sound in two weeks."

He tightened his arms.

"I know. Please, take care of him."

"We will."

He pulled away from her with a teary smile. She turned to Bard who wrapped her in a tight hug.

"Come back in one piece, ya hear?"

She giggled as she returned the hug.

"Of course."

They parted from each other. She smiled at him. She turned and knelt down and hugged Little Man Tanaka.

"Keep an eye on them Tanaka and take care of yourself, all right?"

"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka said, hugging her back.

They parted from one another, sharing a smile. She moved towards the Young Master at the same time as Sebastian.

"Bard, Mey-rin, Finny, we shall be in the states for two weeks. Please, do take care of your chores and do not destroy the mansion. Do not destroy the mansion." Sebastian stated, eyes closed and stiff smile upon his lips.

"Yes, Sir!" The three saluted.

"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka saluted.

"You three take care of the mansion for us. Remember why I hired you." The Young Master ordered.

"Yes, my lord."

The three of them saluted again. Little Man Tanaka popped in and saluted as well with a, "Ho, ho, ho.".

The Young Master nodded once at them. Frances, the Young Master, and Sebastian turned to the carriage. Sebastian assisted Frances inside first, to which she gave her usual "Thank you.", followed by the Young Master before entering himself. Once they were situated, the Young Master tapped the roof to signal the driver. They took off down the driveway and onto the road. The trip to the docks was rather quick, though it was busy at the docks as people were returning from trips. Sebastian easily led them through the busy docks. They stopped when Sebastian stopped in front of a ship's clerk to make arrangements for their luggage to be taken onboard. Once that was done, they made their way onto the ship. Once onboard, Frances looked back at London once again. Sebastian's hand gently brushed against her hand. She looked at the demon who gently smiled at her. She returned the smile She walked forward, catching up with Ciel as Sebastian followed them.

Three days later, they arrived at New York before taking a train to New Orleans. They dropped their luggage off at the hotel. As they exited the hotel, Frances felt someone was coming, someone who was looking for a story to profit from. Sebastian tightened his gloves.

*I shall see to them, my darling.*

She glanced at him, a smile upon her lips.

*Thank you, Malphas.*

Sebastian gave a slight bow to her and the Young Master.

"Excuse me, my lord, my Lady, there seems to be a mouse after some forbidden cheese. I shall return momentarily."

The Young Master gave a curt nod.

"Very well."

Sebastian gave a smirk. The next second, he disappeared. Frances and the Young Master waited for Sebastian to return.

Sebastian found the man. He wasn't hard to spot. Holding a camera and a notepad, pen, and ink sticking out the man's pocket, as well as his obvious sneaking around… horribly.

"Excuse me, sir."

The man jumped, startled. He turned towards Sebastian with a look of surprise.

"Ah, you startled me (He peered closer at Sebastian. His eyes widened.) You're that butler! The famous one Earl Phantomhive and Lady Harkness has! Can I please see them to interview them?"

"I'm afraid not. They are not accepting any invitations for interviews at this time."

The man frowned. He approached the butler. He leaned towards him.

"How much?" He asked, reaching to take the butler's hand.

Sebastian did not allow that. He swiftly moved his arm behind his back while the other remained on his chest.

"Regrettably, I desire nothing you could offer. As I stated previously, they are not accepting interviews at this time. Should you try to pursue them further (His smile widened.) you may find yourself unable to write… permanently. (The man gasped.) Are we understood?"

"Y-Y-Yes, sir. I won't come near them again." The man stuttered, backing away.

When he believed he put enough distance between them, he turned and ran from the butler. A large smirk spread upon the demon butler's face. He made his way back to his mate and Young Master.

Frances turned when she felt his approaching form. She smiled brightly at the smug look upon his face and feeling his extreme satisfaction and smugness.

"Thank you for taking care of him, Sebastian."

His smirk widened.

"You're welcome, my Lady."

"Let's go, you two." The Young Master said, slightly annoyed. Though, he was more embarrassed, his cheeks turning pink at the display.

Frances and Sebastian exchanged amused looks. They followed after the boy to the awaiting carriage. Once they were inside, they took off about two blocks away from her siblings' apartment. They walked the rest of the way and were soon in front of their door. Frances knocked upon it. It opened after the second knock. Bridgett, Irene, and Marcelo all stood in the doorway.

"Frances!" They exclaimed.

They wrapped her in a group hug. She laughed and hugged them back.

"Mmm, it's so good to see you three. I've missed you so much."

"We've missed you, Frances." Marcelo said, snuggling into her shoulder.

Her eyes widened.

"You've grown!"

He laughed as they all pulled away.

"Yeah, I'm taller than you now!"

Frances shook her head.

"Everyone's taller than me." She muttered.

Frances glanced down at Ciel to see him staring wide eyed at her. She could feel his shock at how… different she acted with her siblings.

"Oh, sorry. This is Ciel Phantomhive. My former boss and now my friend. Ciel, this is Bridgett, Irene, and Marcelo, my sisters and brother." Frances said, pointing to each of her siblings as she introduced them.

Bridgett and Irene curtsied while Marcelo bowed.

"A pleasure to meet you." Bridgett said.

They straightened from their bow and curtsies. Ciel gave them a nod.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well."

"Please, come in." Bridgett said, pulling the door more open.

They let Ciel pass through first followed by Frances then Sebastian. Bridgett closed the door behind them. Frances, Ciel, and Sebastian looked around the place. Frances smiled. It was nice and neat. Frances noticed a few new decorations that lined their shelves. As she looked around, Ciel handed his hat to Sebastian who accepted it as he removed his cloak. Sebastian placed them on the coat rack.

"Oh, I have tea ready! Let me go grab it." Bridgett said, excusing herself to the kitchen.

"So," Frances started, making her way to the couch, her siblings following. Ciel sat in the sofa chair that sat on the left of the couch, Sebastian stood behind the Young Master, "how have you guys been? Anything interesting going on?"

Bridgett returned with a tray of tea and petit fours. She set it on the table. She got to work on serving it.

"We went to the swimming pool a few weeks ago and bought (Irene turned to Ciel.) your curry buns for dinner. They tasted so amazing." She said.

Ciel smirked and inclined his head. Bridgett handed him a cup of tea.

"Thank you. (He accepted the cup, looking at her.) Thank you."

"You're welcome." Bridgett said.

Ciel took a sip as Bridgett served Sebastian then Frances then their siblings.

"Earl Grey, hm?" Ciel commented.

Bridgett turned to look at him over her shoulder with a smile.

"Yes, indeed."

He nodded, drinking more of the liquid.

As Ciel watched them continue to catch up, he could see the slight difference. She was more… open here with her siblings. Even when with Sebastian, she would be a little more reserved and respectful. They only kissed (A small blush appeared on his cheeks at the thought.) in front of him twice and while they did share loving looks and held each other, it never went further than that. He knew it was because of him and the Phantomhive image that she would never be this… relaxed and yet she made it look natural, as if she had no issue with it. He had new respect for her.

They continued catching up. Bridgett excused herself to make lunch, asking Sebastian to join her. He bowed.

"Of course, my lady."

Sebastian followed her into the kitchen. Bridgett embraced him, surprising him for a moment. She parted from him, smiling brightly.

"I'm glad you've returned. You make her so incredibly happy, Sebastian."

He smiled fondly.

"We make each other happy."

She smiled.

"I can see that."

He smirked.

"Shall I…?"

"No." Bridgett cut him off, "I just wanted to tell you how happy I am for you to return."

His smirk grew wider. Sebastian watched her make lunch. Once it was ready, Sebastian helped her carry it to the dining table before going and calling the rest of them to the dining table. Once they were seated, they started to eat. A few minutes of forks scraping against plates, Bridgett spoke.

"So, Ciel," She stated, gaining the Earl's attention, "Frances says you have a cute, little fiancée. What's she like?"

Ciel's eye widened, a bright blush appeared upon his cheeks. Sebastian turned away with a gloved hand covering his mouth as his body shook with silent laughter. Frances' eyes also widened.

"Bridgett!" She squeaked.

Bridgett turned to her with confusion.

"What?" She asked, "It's okay to admit to loving someone. You are the one who taught us that."

Frances smiled. She looked over at Sebastian who smirked at her. Ciel cleared his throat. They all turned to look at him.

"She is very… eccentric. She likes the color pink. She likes dancing and balls. Her favorite flowers are pink marguerites. She likes to dress my servants in… cute outfits."

Frances and her siblings giggled and chuckled.

"My favorite is the ladybug outfit Tanaka wore." Irene said.

Frances giggled.

"Because you like ladybugs."

Irene smiled brightly.

"I do."

Ciel gave a small smile.

"It sounds like you really love her." Bridgett said.

Ciel's cheeks turned pink. He looked away.

"All right, all right. Leave the boy alone now." Frances chastised.

Sebastian gave a smirk.

"How about we play a game?" Marcelo suggested.

Ciel looked at him. After a moment, he nodded.

"Very well."

They played several rounds of different games. Sebastian even joined and won quite a few rounds, much to Ciel's dismay. After dinner, made by Marcelo and dessert made by Frances, they continued talking about different things until Sebastian opened his pocket watch to consult the time. Frances knew what he was going to say. He closed the pocket watch with a click, placing it back into his pocket.

"I'm afraid, we must be going. I must ready the Young Master for bed."

Irene and Marcelo sighed sadly while Bridgett pouted yet nodded all the same.

"All right. You're still coming tomorrow, right?"

"Yes, my lady." Sebastian confirmed.

"Yes, we are." Frances said at the same time.

Ciel suppressed a yawn.

"What time are you coming over?" Irene asked, excitedly.

"We shall be here at eight in the morning." Sebastian said.

"Perfect! Wear your walking shoes." She said.

Ciel raised an eyebrow. The five of them smiled widely. Sebastian closing his eyes. Sebastian and Frances could feel his wariness. He shook his head; a sigh escaped his lips.

"Very well. Until tomorrow." Ciel answered.

Frances hugged each of her siblings, bidding them a "Good night." and "Sweet dreams.". She returned to Sebastian and Ciel's side. Sebastian bowed.

"Until tomorrow."

Sebastian straightened. He assisted the Young Master with putting on his cloak and handed him his hat. He took it, putting it on his head. Frances' siblings walked them out. As they made their way down the hall, Frances turned and waved at her siblings. They waved back. They made their way to the carriage that was a few blocks away in silence.

"Your siblings are quite entertaining, Frances." Ciel commented, breaking the silence.

Frances smiled widely, happiness emitting from her.

"They are indeed." She agreed.

They continued to the carriage. Once there, Sebastian assisted them in before climbing into the driver's seat. They made their way to their hotel. After bidding each other "Good night", they parted to their separate rooms. Sebastian followed dutifully after his Young Master to ready the boy for bed. As he did so, he could hear her humming and hear the lyrics that ran through her head.

*In the south land~~ there's a city~ way down on the river~~ where the women are very pretty~~ and all the men deliver~~. Grab somebody~~ come on down~~ bring a paint brush~~ we're painting the town~~ there's some sweetness goin' around~~~~~. Dreams~~ do~~ come~~ true~~ in~~ New~~~~~ Or~~~leans~~~~~~.* Though, the best dreams came from London where I met my love.*

He mentally warbled in pleasure. A smirk spread upon his lips.

Sebastian opened the door to his Young Master's bedroom. The boy walked through. He followed after him, closing the door behind him. He made his way to the dresser as the Young Master sat patiently on the bed.

"What is the plan for tomorrow?" The Young Master ordered.

Sebastian smirked. He turned with the gathered white nightgown held in his arms. His red eyes glinted in amusement.

"It is a surprise." He said in a true Frances like voice causing the boy to grit his teeth as a blush appeared. A chuckle escaped his lips, amused at the boy's reactions He could tell he was curious and excited just like a child would be yet he was trying, but failing, to hide it, "Frances and her siblings have planned something for you, which I have been strictly ordered not to tell you." Sebastian said as he approached the boy, kneeling down to undress him.

The Young Master turned his head, covering his embarrassment with a cough covered by his hand. He turned back.

"Fine." He muttered.

Sebastian continued smirking as he dressed the boy for bed. Once he finished, he placed the dirtied clothes in the closet to wash later. He returned to the nightstand and gathered the candelabra. He bowed with a hand on his chest.

"Good night, my lord."

He walked out of the room, closing the door softly behind him. He placed the candelabra on the column outside his lord's room, blowing the candles out, encasing the hall in darkness. A smile graced his features as he made his way to his mate's room. He didn't bother knocking. He walked in to see her in a purple nightgown, sitting on the seat by the window, staring out of it in the direction of her siblings' apartment. She turned as she felt him enter. A bright smile was upon her lips. He felt his heart skip a beat as he looked at her. The lights from the city hit her just right, making her brown hair glow slightly, her chocolate brown eyes looked at him with such happiness, fondness, and love. He made his way over to her, gathered her into his arms, and kissed her senseless. She returned the kiss with equal passion. Her arms wrapped around his neck as her heart picked up in speed. Their song echoed through them. He sat with her in his lap, relishing her rosy peachy taste. A growl escaped his lips.

*Mine.* He growled.

She leaned closer, deepening the kiss. Her hands tightened in his hair.

*Yes. I am yours as you are mine.*

They broke apart after a few minutes. He enjoyed the way she gasped for air. Their foreheads leaned against each other. A few seconds passed, when they both opened their eyes. Her gaze softened. Her hands lowered to cup his cheeks.

"I love you, Malphas."

"I love you, Frances."

They both said at the same time. They smiled fondly at one another. Frances leaned her head against the warbling/purring demon's chest, her arms wrapped around his waist as she too purred happily. They both looked out the window to watch the city beyond.

The following morning, Frances awoke in Malphas' arms. She snuggled into his chest, giving it a gentle kiss, smiling as his warble grew louder. She lifted her head to look into the happy red eyes of the demon.

"Good morning, Frances." Malphas greeted.

"Good morning, Malphas." She greeted.

They both leaned forward and shared a kiss. Their song coursing through their souls. They broke apart with her gasping for breath. He caressed her cheek as she got her breathing under control. Once it had, an excited smile lit her face and her eyes. She rolled out of bed.

"Go get Ciel ready, please." She said as she made her way to the closet.

Sebastian chuckled, amused. He quickly changed. He leaned close to her ear.

"Yes, my Lady."

Then he was gone. Frances shook her head. She dressed in a purple day dress with black accents. She brushed her hair, stylizing it into a bun that look neat yet messy. In the right corner of her hair, she placed a purple and a black rose. She placed the black rose necklace Sebastian gave her around her neck. She tied on her black boots. She grabbed her pouch full of money, placing it in one of the hidden pockets of her dress. She looked over herself in the mirror, a smile graced her features. She gave a nod. She walked to the door, opened it, and exited the room, closing the door behind her. She made her way to the living room area just as Ciel and Sebastian rounded the corner. She smiled at Ciel.

"Good morning, Ciel." She greeted.

"Morning." He grumbled.

Frances smiled.

"Shall we go?" She asked.

He nodded once. They left the hotel. They once again took a carriage, stopping about two blocks away. They walked to Frances' siblings' apartment in silence. Once there, Sebastian knocked on the door. Irene opened it.

"Good morning!" She greeted, opening the door wider for them to go through, "Come in, come in."

Frances entered first, giving her a hug and a "Good morning.". Ciel followed her, giving a "Morning." to Irene followed by Sebastian who also greeted her. Irene also gave him a hug to which he returned. Marcelo and Bridgett popped their heads out of the kitchen as Irene closed the door behind them.

"Good morning. Breakfast is ready." Marcelo announced.

"Good morning." Bridgett said at the same time, disappearing right after.

They moved over to the kitchen to see Bridgett getting down plates. She turned to them with a smile.

"Morning." Ciel greeted.

Frances walked over to her two other siblings and hugged them tightly. Sebastian pulled out the Young Master's chair for him, pushing him in before taking a seat himself. Irene sat on the other side across from Ciel. Frances went and sat beside Sebastian after hugging her brother and sister. Soon enough, a cup of Earl Grey tea was placed in front of Ciel along with a plate of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon.

"Thank you." Sebastian said when Bridgett placed his plate of food in front of him.

"You're welcome." Bridgett said, smiling.

Once everyone was served and seated, they began to eat.

"So," Ciel started, when he finished eating and after wiping his mouth with his napkin, "what is on the schedule for today?"

The five of them smiled widely.

"You'll find out once the dishes are done and we are on our way." Frances said, standing from her chair, taking hers and Sebastian's plate to the sink.

Ciel sighed, placing two fingers upon his forehead in irritation. Sebastian smirked, a chuckle emitting from him. Ciel glared at him. Frances and her siblings made quick work of cleaning up. Once the dishes were done, her siblings gathered their pouches of money. Sebastian stood from his seat.

"We are ready now, Ciel." Bridgett said.

Ciel, with Sebastian's assistance, stood from his chair. They all moved to the front door. Sebastian stepped forward and opened the front door. Ciel walked out first followed by Marcelo, Irene, Bridgett, and Frances (The four of them thanking him.). Once Sebastian closed the door, Bridgett locked it. Frances held Bridgett's hand as they made their way down the hall.

They continued out of the building and down a few blocks. They arrived at a park where tables were set up with chess boards. Ciel raised an eyebrow.

"A chess tournament?" He asked.

Frances shook her head, though a smile remained upon her lips.

"No. It's just a place to play chess." She explained.

"We found it when Frances told us you were coming." Bridgett explained.

"And we remembered that Frances told us you were an amazing chess player." Irene added, smiling brightly.

"…I see." Ciel stated, looking over at the tables.

"Perhaps you'll find yourself against a formidable opponent, Young Master." Sebastian taunted, a hand under his chin as he looked slyly down at his Master.

Ciel turned to him with a glare. Sebastian's smirk widened further.

"Come on. I think I see a place close to the edge that's free." Frances said, leading the group around the edge of the tables.

They followed after her. She was indeed right. A table along the edge was free. Frances gestured to the table. Ciel sat down. A few stewards came and set up chairs for her and her siblings. Frances smiled at them.

"Thank you." She said.

They nodded their heads with smiles upon their faces.

"You're welcome, my lady." The man with light brown hair said.

He walked away with the others. Sebastian stood behind her as a boy with light blond hair that looked almost white with dark blue eyes approached the table.

"May I have the honor of playing with you, sir?" The boy asked, politely.

Ciel inclined his head.

"You may."

The boy sat down. The boy started first since he had the white pieces.

The game continued on until Ciel won. A smirk spread across his face once he did. The boy bowed, thanked him for the game, then excused himself to play someone else. Another boy approached him and asked to play. Ciel accepted. He won that round as well as gained an audience. His third opponent, however, appeared more formidable. So much so, that Ciel leaned forward in his seat, fists clenched as his opponent took yet another one of his pieces leaving three left while the boy had five. Frances and Sebastian shared a glance and a smirk. They turned back to the game. A few moves later and…

"Check mate." The boy said, blocking Ciel's Queen.

Ciel gaped in surprise. Applause rang out. Ciel and the boy stood. They extended their hands and shook, a smile on Ciel's face and a smirk on the other boy's.

"Thank you for the opportunity to play. You were a formidable opponent. I hope to play against you again."

They released hands.

"Thank you. You were as well. Very difficult. However, I am afraid I must be going. Please, excuse me." Ciel said.

The boy nodded.

"Very well. Good day to you, sir."

"Good day."

Ciel walked towards the group. An irritated smile upon his face. Her siblings cheered.

"Good job, Ciel!"

"That was really close!"

"That was amazing!"

Ciel sighed softly.

"I didn't even win." He grumbled.

"No." Frances agreed, standing up. Ciel looked at her, "However, not everything is about winning, is it? Sometimes, we have to lose to remember the good things or remember to be careful or remember to be more humble or to learn to do better."

A blush appeared on the boy's cheeks. Sebastian warbled in pleasure within her mind.

"Yeah, yeah." He muttered.

Frances smiled. Marcelo grabbed Frances' hand. She looked over at him.

"Lunchtime now, right?" He asked.

Frances nodded.

"Yes."

Marcelo smiled brightly.

"Come on, then!" He exclaimed, excitedly.

"You'll like this too, Ciel." Irene said. Suddenly, a blush filled her cheeks, "Well… we hope you will like it." She corrected.

Ciel raised an eyebrow at her, but Irene didn't say anything else. They made their way to their next destination. A secluded seated area with a long white table and chairs and light green plates and utensils as Frances and Irene set out the food.

"Today's lunch is chicken pot pie with steamed rice and Ceylon of Jackson tea." Frances announced as she served Ciel.

Once Frances and Irene finished plating everyone's food and serving the tea, everyone took up their utensils and began to eat. Frances closed her eyes after taking a bite of food, a small warm breeze fluttered through. The trees that surrounded then swayed as well, creating a near silent whistling sound as it blew a few stray leaves around. Sebastian's hand tingled as he watched his mate enjoy the weather. She opened her eyes and met with his. Her smile grew bigger and wider again when he warbled in her mind. Her own hand tingling.

Once lunch was complete, they leisurely made their way to their next destination.

Ciel raised an eyebrow.

"A shopping district?" He asked.

"Yes." Frances said, smiling.

He nodded.

"Very well."

They walked through the different tents. Frances smiled as she spotted a pink parasol. She bought it for Lady Elizabeth. She also purchased a little toy blue bird for Finny. They were looking in a jewelry shop. Ciel was staring quite intently at a beautiful silver tiara that swirled beautifully with pink stones embedded in it. Frances stepped up to his left while Sebastian stepped up to his right.

"You should get it for her, Ciel."

Ciel grunted, a blush on his cheeks.

"I am."

Frances shared a smile with Sebastian.

They continued walking. Frances held Irene's and Marcelo's hands, swinging them to and fro. They smiled brightly. They walked through the shopping district and purchased a few things that caught their eyes. Even Ciel had purchased a few things including some sweets, though Sebastian had to chastise him from purchasing too much. That made Frances' siblings giggle and chuckle. After they finished shopping, they stepped into an alleyway so Frances could send their purchases to her siblings' apartment while she sent hers and Ciel's to their hotel. Once that was complete, they went to Antoine's Restaurant for dinner.

When they exited the restaurant, the sky was slowly darkening. They picked up some beignets on the way to Frances' siblings' apartment. Once there, Frances and Bridgett made Keemun tea. Irene and Marcelo gathered the plates and organized the beignets onto them. Frances hummed happily.

"That's a new song." Bridgett commented.

"Mm-hm." Frances hummed.

Suddenly, a wide smile appeared on her face. Bridgett shared her smile.

Bridgett: Rose, rose~, rose, rose~~.

Frances (Right after Bridgett finished.): Rose, rose~, rose, rose~~.

Bridgett (At the same time as Frances.): Will I ever see thee wed~~?

Frances (Right after Bridgett finished.): Will I ever see thee wed~~?

Bridgett (At the same time as Frances.): I will marry at thy will sire,

Frances (Right after Bridgett finished.): I will marry at thy will sire,

Bridgett (At the same time as Frances.): at thy~~ will~~.

Frances (Right after Bridgett finished.): at thy~~ will~~.

Both (Their voices harmonized together.): Ye~s, at thy~~~ will~~~~~~.

"That was lovely." Sebastian complimented.

They both turned to see Sebastian and Ciel in the doorway. They both blushed as they looked at each other and then back at them.

"Thank you. We used to sing this all the time when we were younger." Frances explained.

She looked at Bridgett with her smile. Bridgett took her hand and squeezed it. Frances squeezed it back. The whistle of the kettle blew. Frances and Bridgett turned back to it. Frances poured the hot water into the cups. Once she finished, Bridgett picked up the tray. They moved to the table. Sebastian pulled out the chair for Ciel. Frances and Bridgett served the tea. They ate their snack and drank their tea, talking about the things they bought today. Once dessert was finished and cleaned up, Frances and her siblings knew it would be time for them to leave. She hugged each of her siblings tightly.

"I love you, Marcelo."

"I love you too, Frances."

"I love you, Irene."

"I love you, too."

"I love you, Bridgett."

"I love you too, sissy."

She pulled away from Bridgett.

"I'll write to you three soon. Stay safe."

"You as well."

They turned to Sebastian and grouped hugged him.

"We're glad you came to visit us again, Sebastian." Marcelo said.

Sebastian returned the hug. Ciel's eyebrow raised in surprise.

"It was a pleasure to see the three of you as well."

They turned to Ciel. Marcelo bowed while the two sisters curtsied.

"It was good meeting you, Ciel."

They straightened from their positions. Ciel gave a nod.

"It was a pleasure to meet you as well."

"Thank you for taking care of our sister and making her happy." Bridgett said. She held out her arms, "May I?"

Ciel looked at her surprised.

"Um… Very well." He said, holding out his arms.

Bridgett hugged him tightly. Ciel hugged her back A moment later, they parted from one another. Bridgett smiling down at him as he looked away. He gave a small embarrassed cough. Frances and Bridgett shared another smile.

"Are you ready to depart, Frances?" Ciel asked, gaining her attention.

She could see and feel Ciel fighting the embarrassment down. She gave a small nod.

"Yes."

Ciel nodded. He turned and walked out the door that Sebastian opened for them. Frances looked at her siblings with bright smiles and gave them one last "I love you." and "Stay safe.". As she passed Sebastian, he gently ran a hand down her spine, comfortingly. She smiled at him. He returned the smile. She walked down the hall as Sebastian turned to her siblings.

"Have a good evening." He said.

"Good night, Sebastian." They chorused.

Sebastian smiled and closed the door behind him. He caught up to his mate and Young Master. His hand lightly touched her backside again. She leaned into his touch. They pulled away a second later. They made their way to their carriage. Once inside and Ciel instructed the driver to take off, the three of them looked outside, watching the city pass by.

They arrived at their hotel in no time. They bid one another good night. Frances made her way to her room while Ciel and Sebastian made their way to his. She entered the room. She went to her luggage and changed into a light purple nightgown. She released her hair from her bun, allowing it to fall down her back. She placed the rubber bands into her suitcase. She made her way to the little window seat and sat down, staring at the city towards where her siblings' apartment was. A smile upon her lips. She could sense that Ciel had a good time today and that he appreciated the effort her siblings made as well as their polite nature despite being middle class. She began to hum his song. The soul song that lies in everyone. She summoned a violin. She played the notes of their souls: Bridgett's, Irene's, Marcelo's, Ciel's, Sebastian's, and her own. It filled her soul. It was dark and twisted, somber and grave, quiet and sharp, strong and… (She shivered.) overwhelming. She stood up, playing the notes faster as she felt his darkness. Her lips quivered, her body trembled, her soul was… filled with such overflowing happiness and love. The song ended with a long low 'C'. She felt his claws on her cheeks.

"Open your eyes, Frances." He commanded.

She obeyed. Her lashes fluttered open. Her head tilted up to look at the looming demon. His fuchsia eyes bore into hers with obsession, delight, lust, and love.

"Malphas." She whispered so quietly the demon barely heard her.

He cupped her cheeks. The fire in her eyes. These songs in her soul. This pure… happiness that emitted from her. He shuddered.

"Frances." A sharp fanged grin appeared upon his lips.

Their lips connected over and over. Frances sent the violin away. Her hands reached up and wrapped around his neck. A few minutes later, she pulled away gasping for breath. Her hand lowered to his on her cheek. She intertwined their fingers together. His warble grew louder. She pulled his hand to her lips. She placed a kiss to the center of his mark. She looked up at him through her lashes, lips still on his mark.

Frances: I love~~~~~~ you, my Malphas~~~~.

Malphas' fuchsia eyes hid behind his lids as he closed them. He slowly reopened them. His hand that remained on her cheek slid to her chin and gently rubbed it repeatedly.

Malphas: My precious mate, my lovely Frances, I love~~~~~~~ you.

Her heart soared.

"Malphas." She sighed, leaning against him.

He picked her up, cradling her close, his nose nuzzled against her neck. Her hands moved to rest on his chest.

"My mate."

He placed her on the bed, hovering above her. He moved a stray strand of her hair behind her ear.

"You and your siblings never cease to amaze me. The way you four unconsciously ease your way around the evils of this place: The Voodoo State."

She giggled.

"But, of course (She caressed his cheek.), they know to stay away from anything occult like."

"Hmm, unlike you." He smirked.

She returned the smirk.

"As I recall, you were the one who came to me."

The demon raised an eyebrow.

"Oh? Is that so?" He asked, suddenly raising her arms to either side of her head. A smirk upon their lips. He chuckled darkly, "I suppose I did. (His hand trailed down her side causing her to sigh. He chuckled again.) You never did make it easy for me, so I suppose in that regard, you stayed away from my evil self."

She smiled at him. She leaned up and pressed her lips against his softly. He returned the kiss.

"My evil crow demon." She sighed against his lips.

"My precious lithe human."

He ran his hand through her hair. She snuggled into the crook of his neck, her arms wrapping around it as well.

"Good night, Malphas." She whispered against his neck.

"Good night, my Frances."

She purred quietly and fell asleep to the sound of his warble/purr as his clawed hands went up and down her back, running through her hair occasionally.

The following morning, Frances awoke in Malphas' arms. She curled closer to the demon's neck; her nose nuzzled his skin. His claws tightened around her body. His lips met his mark on her chest. She shivered and arched closer, releasing a moan. He smirked against it, warbling/purring louder. She lifted herself up to look at Malphas' face. Her hands slid down his neck. He shivered, his warbling/purring growing even louder. She tilted his chin up, her thumbs running across his sharp cheekbones. His fuchsia eyes staring at her with love, obsession, and possession.

"Good morning, my beautiful crow."

His clawed hand trailed up her body. She shivered, pressing herself closer to him. His hand trailed up her neck to her chin, rubbing it repeatedly.

"Good morning, my precious Frances."

They leaned towards one another, pressing their lips against one another. Their song coursed through them. She sighed into his lips as they continued to relish one another. After a few moments, they pulled away with her gasping for breath. He nuzzled her nose as she caught her breath. He sighed against her lips with a reluctant breath. She opened her eyes to look into his.

"Come, my love. We must get ready for the day."

She nodded.

"Yes, of course."

He rolled the both of them off the bed. She felt his body becoming smaller, the tendrils of darkness disappeared, his body snapping as it became smaller. She shivered. It was still a little strange to feel him transform, however, she couldn't help but feel amazed watching him do so.

"Wow." She whispered once he finished.

Malphas smirked. His red eyes gleamed with pride and amusement. He gently caressed her cheek with a gloved hand. Her eyes closed as she leaned into his touch. She reopened them slowly as she felt him move closer to her. She noticed he was wearing his immaculate butler suit. She felt his lips at her ear.

"Allow me to dress you, my darling."

She nodded.

"All right."

He smirked.

In the next second, she was out of her nightgown then dressed in a dark blue day dress. Her hair was up in an elegant bun. Her black rose necklace around her neck. Black boots upon her feet. She looked over her outfit before looking up at Malphas with a smile. He smiled back. She stood on tip toes and kissed his cheek. Her heels clicked lightly when she moved back.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

He held out his arm for her. She took it and leaned against him as they walked out the door. He led her to their hotel's living room. His arm relaxed as his hand trailed down to grasp her hand. He lifted it to his lips and placed a gentle kiss.

"Wait here." He ordered.

She nodded.

"Yes, Malphas."

He smiled. He released her hand, turned and made his way to the Young Master's room. Frances sat in the chair that was in the living room. She summoned a book to read while she waited.

After a few moments, she felt Sebastian's presence nearing her. She sent the book back and stood, straightening out her dress. She looked up as they rounded the corner. Ciel was dressed in a matching dark blue suit with a crisp white shirt, black vest, and black boots.

"Good morning, Ciel." She greeted.

"Good morning." He greeted back. He made his way to the door, "Let's get this over with."

Frances and Sebastian shared a knowing smile. They followed after the boy. Sebastian placed Ciel's cloak on him, tying it close. He handed him his top hat which he put on. Sebastian opened the door for them. Frances thanked him. He smiled at her with a "You're welcome.". They made their way to the carriage. Once inside and Ciel tapped the roof, they made their way to the factory in New Orleans.

The arrived nearly an hour later to the factory. Sebastian opened the door for them. Ciel stepped out first followed by Frances. Mr. Brooker and Mrs. Longsteam exited out of the factory. They approached the three of them as Sebastian closed the door.

"Lord Phantomhive, it is a great pleasure to meet you." Mr. Brooker stated, shaking Ciel's hand, "Lady Harkness took excellent care of your business." He said, smiling at Frances for a moment before returning his gaze to Ciel's.

Ciel gave a firm nod.

"Yes, indeed."

They released hands. Mr. Brooker took Frances' hand.

"It is a pleasure to see you again, Lady Harkness."

He placed a kiss upon her hand.

"A pleasure to see you as well, Mr. Brooker. (She curtsied. Once she straightened, he released her hand. She looked at Mrs. Lonsteam.) A pleasure to see you again, Mrs. Longsteam."

"A pleasure to see you, my Lady." Mrs. Longsteam curtsied.

Frances smiled. She turned to Ciel.

"Mrs. Longsteam is Mr. Brooker's assistant." She explained.

Ciel nodded. He turned back and held out his hand to her. Mrs. Longsteam accepted it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, my lady."

Mrs. Longsteam curtsied.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lord Phantomhive."

She straightened from her curtsy. Ciel released her hand.

"Please, come in." Mr. Brooker said, gesturing them inside.

They followed after him. Ciel didn't even look at the workers, however, Frances did. A few lifted their heads to see them come in or wipe their faces of sweat. When their eyes locked on hers, she smiled at them. They smiled back. They continued following Mr. Brooker into his office.

"Please, have a seat." Mr. Brooker said, gesturing to the chairs in front of his desk.

They did so as Sebastian closed the door. Mrs. Longsteam moved to Mr. Brooker's right side. He gestured for her to hand them the papers. She handed them to Ciel. He accepted the files. He opened the first one. Frances leaned over to look them over with him. It was the profits and losses of the company. After looking it over, Ciel went to the next file. It was about the employees he moved up, explaining to Ciel how he told Frances that he had moved a few people into promotional positions and they were doing well. After a few questions and a few congratulations and talking/encouraging the workers, it was time to continue to the next city.

Like last time Frances visited the factories, it was the same, just with the owners welcoming Ciel back and offering her praise for taking care of the company and pushing them forward. However, unlike last time, they spent some time shopping in the cities they visited. When they were in Virginia, Frances bought Alois his custard as well as a book on dancing. Their two weeks of travel came to an end.
