During season 5. Flirty mostly.
I pulled inspiration of their outfit descriptions from fan art, but made them my own. It's fun to think about their suits in different styles and I appreciate artists who are able to draw such new designs for their super suits.

Day #21: Masquerade
If there was one thing Ladybug tried to make clear to the people of Paris; she and Chat Noir were not celebrities!
They didn't attend things like parties, red carpet events, or anything fancy and big like that. When evil strikes or bad things happen, they are there to fight evil and save the day. That's it.
Even if they attended an interview every now and then or autographed a few scraps of paper for the occasional fan, they were super heroes. They didn't do what they did for fame. It was for protecting Paris.
However, sometimes it wasn't necessarily a bad thing to attend something important, like a charity ball they were invited—practically begged—to attend.
It was for a noble cause—as was protecting Paris—and everyone attending was looking forward to seeing them. Their presence could encourage more of the wealthy guests to donate more money. Plus, if they didn't go, there was a good chance someone would be so disappointed, they might get akumatized.
Recognizing the merits in attending, both super heroes agreed to go.
But it also raised a very serious question; what would they wear?
Their super suits weren't exactly fancy or formal. And even if they had ball attire to wear, it wouldn't be safe to go without being transformed.
Luckily, their kwamis had the perfect solution.
Their super suits weren't formal ball attire, but they could make them formal ball attire.
According to Tikki and Plagg, their holder's transformations were based on their personalities. They transform into what feels natural to them. But if they concentrated hard enough and really focused on what they wanted, they could change their appearance into anything they wanted. Including formal ball clothes.
Marinette was ecstatic when she learned this. She loved designing clothes, but this time, she didn't need to worry about gathering materials and sowing it herself before the event. She could just draw out the perfect dress on paper, then all her had to do was concentrate, transform, and bippity-boppity-boo. Instant ball grown! Complete with her mask. Which was appropriate, given that it was a Masquerade ball.

Adrien wasn't a designer but he was raised by someone with an eye for fashion, so he knew a thing or two. Plus, this wasn't the first time he had to change his transformation appearance. His Cat Walker get-up had been quite stylish, so creating a Chat Noir formal suit would be a piece of cake.
"Plagg, Claw Out!"
Chat stood in front of his full mirror at home, checking to make sure his appearance was indeed what he had wanted.
Long black trousers, a formal black blazer with a lime green dress shirt underneath and a matching green pocket square in the blazer's lapel, and a black bow-tie. On his feet, black dress shoes. On his head, his same cat ears but his blonde hair was neatly combed. His baton was kept in a special pocket on the inside of his blazer. And, of course, his black mask.
Chat smiled at himself in the mirror. This was ball attire fit for a feline.

After several sketches, matching different accessories with different dresses and elements of those dresses, Marinette had finally picked a design.
"Tikki, Spots On!"
She walked over to her big mirror and almost cried. She'd never designed something and then seen it come to life so quickly in her whole life.
There she stood in a gorgeous red gown with black polka-dots. It wasn't terribly tight, but also not super poofy either. But it flowed when she walked. It ended at her ankles and had an open back with no straps. On her arms were full arm gloves that were black for a few inches on the tops then were red with black polka-dots down to the finger tips. She wore a black ribbon chocker around her neck with tiny ladybug charm in the front, and red and black medium-high heels. Her bluenette hair was up in a single, elegant bun with a few loose locks framing her face from the sides. As for her yoyo, that was strapped around her thigh like a garter, under her dress. Out of sight but right there if she needed it. And finally, her usual red and black spotted mask.
It couldn't be more perfect.

In his new, ball transformation, Chat Noir stood on the roof of a building across the street for the ball venue. He and Ladybug had agreed to meet there first before hopping down to the entrance and walking in together.
Barely a few minutes after arriving, he heard the familiar thud of a person landing behind him. "Evening, kitty cat," he heard his lady's melodious voice greet him.
Chat turned around, prepared to charm her with a debonair smile, just it fell into a look of awe and astonishment when he beheld her and her attire for the evening. "Milady," he uttered through a slightly dropped jaw. "Y-you…you look…ravishing." Even that word didn't do her beauty justice.
"Thanks. You clear up nice too," she said, walking up closer to him.
Chat quickly regained his composer and his cockiness. "What? This old thing?" he said, striking a few poses. "Just a little something I thought up after browsing a few fashion magazines. Am I or am I not the cat's meow?"
"Meow," Ladybug giggled, mimicking a cat's claw at him. They both laughed. "Seriously, you look dashing," she said sincerely.
"Thanks," Chat replied, honestly flattered. "This gown is amazing. You must really have a talent for design," he complimented her again, looking over the dress more thoroughly. It was exquisite. And so very her. Good enough to give his father a run for his money.
"I…had a few ideas. It was really exciting, getting to create something so elaborate and then have it just appear on me," she said bashfully. She couldn't let Chat know that she designed clothes all the time. That was a personal fact about her that he didn't need to know.
"Well, if there's one thing I know about you, it's how creative you are," he said charmingly, finally able to shoot her that debonair smile. Ladybug bit her lip as he took her hand and kissed her knuckles. "Shall we?" he asked, gesturing down to the venue.
"We shall," Ladybug replied, feeling fancy already.
The two leapt from the building together. When they landed feet away from the edge of the red carpet, the paparazzi went nuts. Their cameras flashed twice as often and their voices shouted out questions over each other to the heroes before they were even on the walkway.
Ladybug and Chat Noir walked arm-in-arm down the red carpet, doing their best to smile and wave to the cameras but didn't answer any questions. Maybe they would later, in a bit less crowded and chaotic setting, just to remind them how dedicated they still were to their jobs protecting Paris and eventually defeating Monarch.
Celebrities or not, a Masquerade ball for a good cause wasn't that bad. They already had the masks.
Next one will be the 24th.
