Chapter Twenty-Four: Birthday Celebration

Frances awoke an hour later. She stretched leisurely in the warm bed with a soft groan. She relaxed into the bed. Nothing hurt. She could feel her siblings' heartbeats beating a little faster now that they were awake. The flame inside her was also dancing and she could feel Malphas' calm heartbeat. A large smile graced her lips. She got up from the bed and made her way to her closet humming their song. She opened it up. The song came to a halt as a gasp escaped her lips. She quickly grabbed the door with her other hand.

"Woah!"

Her eyes widened. She had taken it off it's hinges! Her eyes burned as she looked for the screws that had fallen out. Her sharp eyes finding them. She summoned a tool to her hand and quickly fixed the door. Her eyes cooling once it was fixed. She gave a firm nod. She sent the tool away. She looked through her dresses when suddenly, she jolted.

"Malphas' birthday!" She gasped.

After all she had been through last night, she hadn't even wished him a happy birthday! A warble/purr echoed in her mind and heart, a feeling that he was nuzzling her cheek, as well as a gentle calming and reassuring feeling caused her to pause.

*You went through a lot this morning, my precious mate for all eternity. There is no need for you to berate yourself as you are.*

She smiled softly. Her own purr starting.

*Malphas.* She sighed.

She could feel his smile then his attention return to making breakfast. She chose another purple day dress. This one had a black rose on her right hip. After pulling matching purple heels from the closet, she carefully closed the door. She moved to her dresser, carefully pulling it open to pull out a white chemise. She moved towards the bed after closing the drawer. She began to get dress. She removed her nightgown. A gasp escaped her lips. The scars on the front of her body! Most of them were gone! Only about eight deep ones remained, but weren't as deep as before. The only deep scars that remained were the ones Malphas revamped that the angel gave her. She went to her mirror and turned so her back faced the mirror. It was the same thing! Nearly all her scars were gone! Only about ten remained.

"Wow." She whispered, stunned.

*I wonder what else has changed.* She thought.

She knew she would get to figure it out later. She moved back to her bed and dressed for the day. Once her chemise, dress, and stockings were on, she went to her jewelry box and pulled out the black rose necklace to place around her neck. Next, she placed her hair in a half up, half down do, adding a purple and a black rose to the right corner. She slipped into her heels. She looked over her dress and nodded. She walked to the door and carefully opened then closed it behind her. Nodding once more, she made her way to Sebastian. She walked into the kitchen to see him peeling potatoes elegantly. She looked around to see that Bard was nowhere to be seen. She smiled as the flames burst up lightly. She approached him from behind. She wrapped her arms around him in a backward hug. She kissed his neck.

"Good morning, my love. Happy birthday." She greeted, quietly.

He turned in her arms, wrapping his own around her waist, smiling a shrewd smile at her before kissing her passionately. Purrs escaped her lips as the flame burst forth into a blazing inferno. A beautiful gasp escaped her lips as he pulled her closer. After five minutes, he released her, chuckling as she caught her breath. He leaned against her forehead.

"Thank you and good morning. Did you get enough sleep?"

She nodded.

"Yes, thank you. Would you like some help with breakfast?" She asked, summoning a red and black rose to her hand, tucking it into his breast pocket.

"Yes, please. Can you finish peeling and cutting these potatoes for me?"

She released him and began rolling up her sleeves. She turned to wash her hands before starting the task he set for her saying,

"Of course. How would you like them cut?"

"Small squares, please."

She nodded as she dried her hands.

"Very well."

She moved over to the potatoes and did as she was told.

Breakfast was made quicker than usual. She knew it was a demon thing. She paused as she grabbed the two plates. She walked back into the kitchen.

"Malphas…"

"We will tell the Young Master when the two of you finish breakfast and are away from prying ears." He said.

She nodded.

"All right."

He kissed her forehead tenderly.

"Go wait in the dining room."

"Yes, Malphas." She said.

She went to the dining room while Malphas exited the kitchen to the hallway. She sat down where she usually sat. She knew Ciel would find her more… useful. A knight even more than before. She knew he would allow her to learn through her own time and not force her past what she would be able to do. The door opened revealing Malphas and Ciel who was dressed in a green suit jacket with black pants, black dress shoes, white shirt, and black tie around his neck. She gave him a smile.

"Good morning, Ciel." She greeted.

"Good morning." He greeted.

Sebastian went into the kitchen. He returned with their breakfast. He placed the silver lidded dishes down. She could hear how heavy hers was by the sound of it being placed on the table. He pulled off the lids. As he announced their breakfast, she felt Ciel's shock at the six pancakes, heaping load of fried potatoes, bacon, and sausage on her plate when she usually would have the same amount as he did. She could feel his suspicion right after. She turned to look at him. He met her eyes for a brief moment before turning to look at his own plate. Sebastian poured the both of them,

"For tea it is Jackson's Earl Grey."

"Thank you." She said, smiling sweetly.

He smiled back at her.

"You're welcome, my Lady."

Sebastian busied himself with the tea trolley as they ate.

After breakfast, Ciel and Frances made their way to Ciel's Office with Sebastian trailing behind them. When they arrived at his Office, Sebastian stepped forward to open the door. Frances thanked him as they passed through. Ciel and Frances sat in their respective seats. Sebastian did not go to his usual spot by the Young Master. Instead, he remained by Frances' side.

"So," Ciel started, leaning back in his seat with his hands intertwined on his stomach, "Sebastian says you both need to tell me something."

"Indeed, Young Master."

"Yes, Young Master."

Sebastian and Frances said at the same time.

"Frances has been turned into a half demon, my lord." Sebastian told the boy.

Ciel raised an eyebrow. He looked her over.

"…I see."

"You aren't surprised." Frances stated.

"Sebastian told me that you were becoming like him. How do you feel about it?"

She smiled. She looked up at Sebastian, the flame inside her flickering up. His eyes met hers with a gentle smile. She turned back to Ciel and nodded feeling his slight surprise and awe.

"I am more than happy. Truly. Deeply."

He nodded. He sat up, placing his hands on the desk.

"Very well. I have a few questions."

"Very well." Sebastian said.

"She doesn't eat souls?"

"No. She can live off human food. (Sebastian placed a hand to his chin as he rested his elbow on the arm around his waist.) Granted, it will be a hefty amount."

Ciel gave a small amused smirk.

"Yes, I can see that. What else does this affect in her?"

"Her hearing, sight, strength, smell, and stamina will increase to inhumane levels. Not quite to my level, but close."

"And her powers?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

Sebastian looked at her. She looked at him. She turned back to Ciel.

"So far, I am able to actually feel my loved ones' heartbeats. I haven't tried anything else just yet."

He nodded.

"Very well." He said with a nod, "Go do what needs to be done."

He gave them a dismissive wave. Sebastian bowed while Frances nodded.

"Have a good day, Ciel."

He gave a small, "Hmm." She smiled. Sebastian and Frances made their way to the door. She thanked him once again. Once the door was closed, Frances twirled into him, leaning up to kiss him. As she flattened her feet from tiptoe, she held out a red and black rose with a black satin ribbon tied in a bow in front of his face.

"Happy birthday, my love."

He accepted it with a smile. The tips of his gloved fingers tilted her chin further up so he could see the fire in her eyes.

"Thank you, my precious mate."

The purr that emanated from her as her eyes fluttered shut was loud. His lips encased hers lovingly. Their tongues darting out to explore one another's mouth. Her arms wrapped around the demon's neck as his wrapped around her waist. The fire once again danced into a blaze as their song echoed through their souls. They slowly broke apart with them both breathing heavily. She looked up into his red eye stare. They flashed fuchsia as his hand trailed up her back.

"I cannot wait to teach and help you learn what you can do (He gently caressed her cheek. He paused a moment, watching as she leaned into his touch. His eyes returned to their red color.). However, we must return to our work."

She gave a small pout, but nodded nonetheless. A small smile slowly spread upon her face as she nuzzled his hand. She looked up at him through her lashes. Her hands cupped his cheeks as her gaze shifted to sternness and seductiveness.

"Not today though, right? It's your birthday. I have plans for you."

Malphas let out a quiet chuckle. He loved this new look. He lowered his hand to her chin, tilting it further up so he could see her lovely expression better. He leaned down as he rubbed her chin repeatedly. A small smirk spread upon his lips.

"No promises." He said, his smirk widened as he saw and felt her slight disappointment, "However, whatever you have planned for me can continue."

The smile that brightened her face was beautiful. The fluttering in her heart quickened his own. She leaned up and pressed her lips lightly against his. She pulled away after a few seconds.

"Good. Because you should be celebrated too."

He warbled/purred in pleasure.

"Precious."

Their lips met, once again igniting the fire into a blazing inferno. After a few minutes, they pulled away. The both of them breathing heavily.

Malphas composed himself, smoothening down his tailcoat. He held out his arm for her.

"My Lady." He said.

She accepted it.

"My gentleman."

They walked to her Office. After opening the door for her, Frances thanked him once again. She leaned up and kissed his cheek. As she flattened her feet, she presented him with a red rose tied with a black satin ribbon around the stem.

"Happy birthday, my love."

He smiled, accepting the gift.

"Thank you, my darling."

"Have a purrfect day, my crow demon." She purred.

He smirked in amusement. He bowed with a hand on his heart.

"Thank you, my precious mate for all eternity."

He left to work on his chores. Frances sat down in her seat and began to look over the paperwork she had for today.

The demon butler went to the library. He clapped his gloved hands together, a serious look upon his face.

"Now then," He stated, looking around the room, "let us begin."

The demon butler began dusting all of the books. However, upon seeing books about cats and crows near the top shelf of a bookcase sticking out a bit, made him pause. He set the rag he was using aside with a sigh. He pushed the books intending to align them with the other books, releasing an annoyed sigh as he did so, however, his eyebrows furrowed when he realized something was preventing it from being pushed in. He pulled the two books out to see what was blocking them. His eyes widened when he spotted a small black box with matching black ribbon tied in a bow, a small beige parchment paper outlined in black had the words "To Sebastian" written on it in black. He took it out. It felt light. He placed the books back. He pulled the ribbon off and opened the box. He moved the black wrapping paper. His eyes widened. He carefully pulled out the contents and held them in his hand. He looked at the miniature black figurines of a crow and cat. An amused laugh escaped his lips. He looked towards the left and glanced up.

*Thank you, my love.* He sent her.

*You're welcome, my crow demon.* She said.

Malphas quickly placed his gift in his room on his desk. His previous gifts he sent to his home before they left for Paris last year. He left his room to resume his duties.

As he cleaned the next room- a guest bedroom, he found another gift under the pillow. It was a black rose with a black satin ribbon. Embroidered on the lengths of ribbon in gold read, "Happy birthday, Sebastian" in elegant cursive. A warble escaped his lips.

It became a game to the demon as he did his daily chores. In another bedroom, when he moved the curtain to gain better access to clean it, there it was in the same black wrapping paper. It was a few cat toys. The next room—the ballroom, behind a white vase was another gift of black silk pajamas. In a drawer of the next room, a red and black rose with a black satin ribbon with the gold cursive of the words, "Happy birthday, Sebastian".

In Frances' Office, she was looking over some numbers of the losses and gains for the stores in the states. She could hear the running of the servants as they did their various chores, rustling of the wind, their various mutters, Ciel's annoyed sighs. She could smell the clean sheets, the smell of various vegetables and seasonings. She could feel her siblings', Ciel's, Alois', and Sebastian's heartbeat changes as they did their various activities and when he found her gifts. And as usual all of their feelings. She had thought she was doing a decent job ignoring it all, however, for some reason it was becoming overwhelming. She sang the 'Wandering Child' song, but for whatever reason, it wasn't calming her down. She placed the pen and paper down. One hand went to her head as the other went to her heart, a quiet groan escaped her. Suddenly, she felt his warm hands on each of her hands.

"Focus on me, Frances." He stated, calmly.

"Malphas." She pleaded quietly, her hands tightening slightly.

His hands tightened on her, his fiery thumbs gently stroked across her hands. It didn't take her long to focus on him and him alone. His smell, his warmth, his darkness, his heartbeat, his fiery love for her, his soul song. Everything else fell into the background. She let out a calming breath. She slowly opened her eyes. She tilted her head up as she lowered her hands to her lap, his hands went with her, meeting his red eyes. She hadn't even felt him move her chair. He lifted his left hand gently from her hand and placed it upon her cheek. She leaned into his touch, slowly closing her eyes. She slowly reopened them, meeting his calm yet concern gaze.

"Better?" He inquired, knowing that she was, but still wanted to ask.

She nodded. Her right hand reached up to cover his hand holding her cheek.

"Yes. I'—"

He cut her off by placing a finger against her lips. She looked at him with surprise.

"You have nothing to apologize for, Frances. I knew this would be overwhelming for you which is why I said I would help you."

She smiled. She kissed his finger. Knowing she would speak, he removed it from her lips.

"Thank you." She said, softly.

He smiled at the gratefulness he could see and feel within her. He lifted her hand and placed a gentle kiss upon it. He lifted his head slightly to look at her through his lashes.

"You're welcome, my love for all eternity. Thank you for my gifts."

She smiled. Her eyes lighting up further, much to the demon's pleasure.

"You're welcome."

A purr came out of him as he leaned towards her. Her hands wrapped around his neck as his wrapped around her waist. Their lips meeting in a loving embrace. She purred as the flames inside her roared again into a blazing inferno. Malphas smirked against her lips. They pulled away with heavy breaths.

"Mine." The demon warbled.

Her hand went into his hair as she looked up at him through her lashes with eyes full of love.

"Yes." She agreed, running her hand through his hair, "I am your as you are mine."

He continued to warble as his forehead rested against hers.

"For all eternity."

She smiled. She pulled herself closer, closing the gap between them, however, she never broke eye contact with him.

"For all eternity." She agreed.

He smiled softly at her. He leaned forward and kissed her nose. Her heart fluttered at the action. He drew back slightly.

"Would you like tea or water today?" He asked, running a hand through her hair.

She thought about it for a second.

"Water, please."

He nodded.

"As you wish, precious mate. (His hands trailed down her body as he stood. She shivered, making a come-hither purr. He smirked.) Precious." He whispered.

She opened her eyes with a smile. He lifted her hand to his lips and placed a gentle kiss upon it.

"Pardon me, my mate."

She nodded. He left the room. With her thoughts and feelings focused only on him, it was easier to focus back on her work. She could still hear and feel everything, however, it wasn't overwhelming anymore. A smile graced her lips.

*Thank you, Malphas.*

*You're welcome, my precious mate.*

Malphas went to the china cabinet to retrieve the items necessary for his Master's tea. As he retrieved the rose teapot, he noticed another gift, actually two. On top of the black wrapping package with the same piece of parchment that read "To Sebastian" was a red rose with the same black satin ribbon with the words "Happy birthday, Sebastian" written in gold. He set the teapot on the trolley. He reached back in, retrieving the gifts. He placed the rose on the trolley for the moment. He unwrapped the present. He pulled out a long black apron with red roses and deep green vines with thorns on them entwining with the roses on the bottom of it. His eyes widened. He realized it was for his true form. A short chuckle escaped his lips.

*Cheeky brat.* He sent her.

She giggled uncontrollably.

*You love me.* She sing-sang.

His warble/purr began once again as his gaze softened.

*I do.*

He continued to prepare their mid-morning tea and snack. As he left the teapot to boil and the coffee cake to bake, he went to place his items in his room upon his desk. His pile of roses sat in front of the cat and crow figurines. He lightly caressed them. He reluctantly pulled his hand away. A smile formed upon his face. There were only a few things that made him reluctant and yet, she kept finding more things that made it harder to pull away from, herself included. He couldn't stop the warble/purr that exited his mouth.

*Precious mate.*

Her response was her purr. A smirk spread upon his face. He turned on his heel and made his way back to the kitchen.

After serving their mid-morning tea and ensuring Frances was still all right, Malphas went to work on his administrative duties. He sat on his desk. He pulled open the drawer and took out the expenses book. He blinked when he saw yet another gift. He took it out and unwrapped it. It was in a square box for jewelry. He opened it. His eyes widened. Inside was a silver necklace with three of his feathers attached to it with one in the center and the other two on opposite sides of it, slightly higher than the one in the center. He pulled it out gently to admire it better. He knew she loved his feathers. So much so, that she has a drawer full of them whenever she managed to capture one. He lightly trailed his gloved finger down the feather on his right. In the corner of his eye, he noticed a piece of paper in the same color as the parchment. He looked at it, placing the necklace on his desk. He took it out, unfolded it, and began to read.

My darkness demon Malphas,

This necklace actually isn't for you. It is for me. I wanted you to see it on the day of your birth because I wanted to show you just how much I love every inch of you. Your human form. Your true form. Every part of you, I love. Your darkness as it surrounds me, your feathers that are so incredibly sharp yet soft, the way you help me build up my strength, the fact you know and respect the love I have for my siblings and have made them and me a part of your family, the way you plead for me to play the music within my soul, the way you need to see the emotions in my eyes. You make me safe, strong, and happy, so immensely happy. I love you, my beautiful, handsome, strong, dark embracing, loving, music inspiring, dancing, precious Malphas.

Happy Birthday!

Love,

Frances

His warble/purr grew loud as he got a quarter of the way through the letter. He needed her. The darkness inside him needed her. However, he didn't want to overwhelm her with his true form. It was why he ravished her in his human form last night, only exuberating his feathers. She had already become overwhelmed. He didn't want to risk it, even if he could feel her desire for him as well. Their hands tingled. He looked down at his own hand, knowing she was doing the same. He gently lifted it into the air as if to place it on her cheek. He could feel her lean into it.

"Malphas." She sighed, aloud.

"Precious mate." He whispered, "Thank you, my accepting creature."

Her smile widened.

"You're welcome."

He smiled. He felt her return to her work. He carefully tucked the letter into his inner pocket before carefully placing the necklace into its case. He sent it to her, feeling her smile widen when she saw it on her desk. He turned back to his own work.

After his administrative duties, it was time for more cleaning. Within her bedroom, he didn't find anything which caused him to pout slightly. He was sure he would have found… His eyes widened when he saw the black rose on the corner of her door frame with that same black satin ribbon with the words, "Happy birthday, Sebastian" written on it. He raised his arm and caught the stem between his fingers. He lightly caressed the petals. A short chuckle escaped him.

*My playful kitten.* He purred.

She giggled. His smile widened. He checked his pocket watch. It was time to make lunch. He made his way to the kitchen to assist Baldroy with the meal knowing he would need to make a lot for his mate. He stepped through the kitchen door. He spotted Baldroy immediately. Baldroy turned towards him with the two plates of chicken that he left in the refrigerator.

"Oi, Sebastian. Why so much chicken? I don't blow up things anymore."

Sebastian merely stared at him. He knew he was offended, however, he wasn't going to correct him. He still blew stuff up on occasion after all.

"Because I know how hungry you all get." He answered, moving to the cabinets where the seasonings were at.

Baldroy grinned.

"I see." He said.

They worked mostly in silence. Sometimes, Baldroy spoke at length about the different guns the Young Master produced. He'd listen so he could report it to the Young Master later.

Lunch was made in the proper time. Frances and Ciel were already in the dining room. After they were served lunch, Frances' instructor for Latin and the Young Master's political studies professor had arrived. The two of them excused themselves making their ways to their own study room with their instructors.

Sebastian resumed his tasks. He cleaned the salon. As he lifted the chair to clean the floor, he spotted another present. Upon opening it, another smile graced his lips. It was a silk black robe with red roses all over it.

*She has such elegant tastes.*

In the entranceway, on the edge of the frame of a green field, he found another red and black rose with a satin ribbon. Those lovely golden words wishing him a, "Happy birthday". Once the instructors left, Malphas cleaned both studies finding a crystal tremble cleft in black in the Young Master's study in a cabinet. In her study, as he moved a stack of papers, a red rose sat with its satin ribbon and engraved words.

He consulted his pocket watch once again. It was time for afternoon tea. After he served his Master, he made his way to her Office. She was much more focused than she was earlier. It made him smile. He was grateful he was able to help calm her. He knocked upon the door.

"Come in." Her voice called.

He opened the door and walked in with the trolley of tea. She looked up at him, moving her papers out of the way. But, it was the beautiful happiness he could see in her eyes that he was paying the most attention to as they softened into that beautiful look of love and fondness. He didn't stop the warble/purr that exited his lips. Her own purr started up as well. Her eyes blinking lovingly at him. He stepped right next to her desk.

"For today's tea it's Darjeeling from India." He announced, pouring the tea elegantly into the rose cup he selected earlier.

He placed it on her desk. She smiled brightly.

"Thank you, Malphas."

He gave her a nod.

"For your snack it is a blackberry cake."

He placed the cake in front of her.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome, my precious mate." He said, gently caressing her cheek.

She leaned into his touch. Suddenly, she felt herself being lifted and then placed in his lap, bridal style. She looked up to meet his amused gaze. He nuzzled her cheek with a warble/purr. She smiled. She placed her own hand upon his cheek, caressing it gently. His warble/purr grew louder. He moved his lips to her neck where her pulse was, burying his face there.

"Eat, my precious mate." He purred into her ear.

She snuggled against his hand. Her hand slowly released him and went to her tea. She ate and drank her afternoon tea snuggled in the demon's lap, her soul and body calm. He ran his hand through her hair. Their purrs and his warble continued throughout the afternoon tea. Once it was finished, she placed her cup down on the desk. She maneuvered her body so she was straddling the demon, her arms wrapping around his neck. One hand gently went down his back while the other ran through his silky locks. His red eyes looked at her with amusement and desire. Her head leaned down towards his ear.

"Are you enjoying your birthday, my dark crow demon?" She asked, her hand trailing further down his back.

Malphas' warble escaped his lips as he arched into her.

"Yes, my precious mate for all eternity. All because of you."

His hands roamed her back. She let out a shaky breath.

"Malphas." She breathed. Her tongue ran over his ear causing his warble to hitch. Her hand moved back up his back to his shoulder to his chest, "I have much more surprises for you." She purred.

Malphas smirked. Hie eyes flashed fuchsia. His warble/purr echoed loudly. His grip on her back tightened.

"Oh, really?" He warbled/purred.

"Mm hm." She purred, her hand going back up his chest, "However, you have work to do." She said, pushing herself back from his ear to look at him.

Malphas grumbled in displeasure. His fuchsia eyes returning to their red color.

"Don't worry." She cooed, trailing her finger in random designs upon his chest, "Fortasse plura miraberis. (Perhaps you'll find more surprises.)"

She winked. His eyes widened. His warble/purr started louder than before at the Latin she used at the end. He nuzzled her nose. It was rare that she spoke the language when she was with him, yet sent a thrill through him whenever she did. He pulled away to look into her eyes.

"Mine. For all eternity."

She smiled beautifully.

"Yes, I am yours as you are mine." She agreed.

He reluctantly stood, turned, and placed her in the chair. Their hands slowly caressed each other as he moved away.

"I shall see you later, my mate."

"Yes, you will." She agreed.

He smirked. He gathered the plate and teacup, placing them on the trolley. He moved towards the door. He turned to look at her, catching her gaze. They smiled at one another. He walked out the door. He returned the trolley to its place, taking all the china to wash and put away. Once that was complete, he clapped his hands together. A smirk on his face.

"Now then." He stated.

He moved off to the last room he had to clean. The training room. As he moved to clean the fencing swords, he noticed yet another package with the same parchment addressed to him. He opened it. His brows furrowed in confusion. It was the same black silk fabric with red roses robe however… his eyes widened. It was measured for his true form. He couldn't help, but chuckle lightly.

*Thank you, my darling.*

She smiled.

*You're welcome.*

He sent it to his room. He continued cleaning the room. After finishing cleaning the room, it was time to make dinner.

Dinner was a silent affair between Frances and Ciel as usual. Once it was finished, Ciel wiped his mouth. He looked up at Sebastian who stood by his left.

"Young Master?" He asked, politely.

"You are given the rest of tonight off. I only order you change me when it is near the time for me to go to bed." The Young Master stated.

Sebastian smirked. He bowed lightly with a hand on his heart.

"Yes, my lord."

"Thank you, Ciel." Frances said, smiling at him.

"Hm." Is all he said.

He stood and walked out the door. Frances finished her remaining food. She saw Sebastian going to gather the plates. Frances cleaned her mouth with the napkin before standing and moving over to him, taking his hand into hers, and intertwining their fingers together. His red eyes met her brown ones. He raised an eyebrow. She shook her head.

"Let Baldroy take care of this. Come with me."

She began to led him out of the dining room. A smirk appeared upon his lips.

"Yes, my love."

He let her lead him up the stairs. His smirk widened when they arrived in front of her music room. She opened the door. His eyes widened. Above her stage was a black banner that read, "Happy birthday, Sebastian!" in gold letters. Along the edges of the room were black columns with black vases with indentions to signify roses, around the rim of the vase was a black satin ribbon. Each vase contained a variety of red, black, and red and black roses. He blinked when he saw a black curtain on the right side of the room. He was curious as to what laid behind it, but forced his eyes to continue looking around the room. The set-up of chairs were pushed to the side, leaving only one in the front center of the room. Upon the stage were red, black, and red and black petals. On the piano was her black violin the Young Master gave her. He looked at her with love, obsession, delight, happiness, and excitement. She gestured with her hand to the inside.

"After you, birthday demon."

He released her hand as he walked in. She followed after him, closing the door behind herself. She quickly caught up to him. She took his hand in hers, stepping in front of him. He blinked down at her now realizing that he was warbling/purring.

"Happy birthday, Malphas." She whispered, lovingly.

He smiled. He placed a hand upon her cheek. She leaned into his touch, blinking beautifully at him.

"Thank you, my precious mate for all eternity."

She gently cupped his cheeks, moving the bangs out of his eyes with her pinky.

"Will you exude your darkness, please? (He looked at her hesitantly.) Unless you wish the other four to know it's your birthday."

He didn't want them to know. They would make a mess of it. However, he didn't want to overwhelm her. He blinked down at her when he felt her removed one of her hands, placing it on his chest, slowly moving it up his chest. A calm content smile upon her lips.

"I promise I'm okay."

He looked her over sternly. Even with his darkness inside her, he couldn't tell what that little thing inside her was. He could sense it in her personality, but that's it. Right now, however, he sensed she was calm and excited about what she was about to share with him. He gave a nod.

"Very well. But, if it starts to overwhelm you…"

She nodded.

"Yes, Malphas."

He nodded.

"Good woman."

He began to exude his darkness throughout the room. He watched as she shivered, her grip tightened on both his cheek and white shirt. Her purr emanated from her throat as she stepped closer to the demon. Malphas warbled in pleasure. He could feel the way his darkness stroked the flame inside her since it was a part of him. He could see and feel the happiness, excitement, and love his darkness brought her. His darkness encased the room in less than a second. She slowly loosened her hold on him, but didn't let go of him. Not yet. Her hands reached around his neck as she slowly opened her eyes to meet his red ones. His arms wrapped around her waist, pulling her closer until there was no gap between them.

Frances: Nighttime sharpens~~ heightens each sensation~ (Her hand trailed from his neck to his chest, lightly brushing over her mark. Malphas' warble/purr grew louder, as. He trembled.) your darkness~~ stirs~~ and wakes imagination (She drew a circle around her mark.) silently the senses~~ abandon their defenses~~~ (She trailed her hand down his chest as her other hand trailed his arm down to his hand.)

Slowly, gently, night unfurls its splendor~~ (She lifted Malphas' hand and twirled herself.) grasp it, sense it, tremulous and tender (He pulled her close to him.) turn my face away~~ from the garish light of day~~ (They both moved the hands that weren't holding the other away from themselves.), turn my thoughts away from cold unfeeling light~~ (They slowly brought them back, placing them on their marks on one another. They shivered.) and listen to the music of the nigh~~~~t. I close my eyes and surrender to my darkest dreams (Both their eyes closed, their hands trailing down the other's chest.) purge my thoughts of the life I knew befo~~~~~re (They lightly pushed away from each other.) close my eyes, let my spirit start to so~~~~~~~~~~~ar (Malphas lifted their hands and spun her fast for the duration of the last word.) and I'll live as I've never lived~~~ befo~~~~~~re (He stopped her spin as he lowered his hand. Both hands around her waist, upon her hands as her back was to him.)!

Softly, deftly, music shall caress us (He ran his hands up her arms. She shivered.), hear it, feel~~ it, secretly possess us (He slowly turned her to face him, needing to see the look in her eyes. She didn't disappoint. Her brown eyes were extremely bright with happiness, love, obsession, and adoration. Her hands slid up her chest.) Open up our minds, let our fantasies unwind (She twirled her hand then angled it so the side of her hand touched his chest and slid down it.) in this darkness that we know I cannot fight~~~~~~ (She stood on her tiptoes, leaning close to his face with her hand still remaining upon his chest. The darkness inside both of them stirred with the flames that danced within her. Malphas warbled in pleasure. His gloveless hand gently caressed her cheek as the other held her waist.) the darkness of the music of the nigh~~~t.

Let our minds start a journey through a strange new world (He led her across the room with their hands in the other's hand and the other on the other's waist.) leave all thoughts of the world we knew befo~~~re (He spun her right after "thoughts" before continuing across the room.) let our soul take us where we long~~~~~ to be~~~~~~~~~~ (He stopped near one of the columns, Frances pointed her right foot and dragged it in a small arch after "soul". He spun her fast as she held out the long note.)

Frances/Sebastian: only then~~, can~~ you~~ belong~~ to~~~ me~~~~~ (He stopped her spin. Their eyes locked in an intense, heated gaze. Their hands touched the other's hearts, upon their marks. They moaned and shivered.)

Floating~~, falling~~, sweet intoxication~~~ (They gently swayed to the melody. He spun her around once, bringing her back again.) Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation~~ (Their hands cupped the other's cheek. Malphas' hand slowly lowered to her chin, tilting it further up. A sigh escaped her lips.) let the dream begin, let our darker side give in (Her hand trailed up his chest from his waist in slow, random designs.) to the power of the music that you write~~ (She gently and lovingly tapped a finger on his heart, on her mark. She smiled as he jolted.) the power of the music~~ of the nigh~~~~~t (She ran her hand up and down his chest.)

(She hummed the instrumental part, gently swaying with him. Her other hand reached up and cupped his other cheek. She stood on tiptoe, looking deeply and lovingly in her demon's eyes.)

You alone can make my song take fligh~~~~~t, help me make the mu~~~~~~sic of~~ the~~ nigh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~t!*

The room was quiet with the exception of both their breathing. After a few seconds, they leaned their foreheads against one another. Their foreheads tingling slightly at the touch. She gently rubbed her forehead against his, her eyes closing then reopening to look at him lovingly. Her breathing under control, she began to sing once again.

Frances: Happy birthday to you~~~, happy birthday to you~~~, happy birthday dear Malphas~~~, happy birthday to you~~~!*

He leaned in close to her lips.

"Thank you, precious Frances." He purred.

Their lips met in a sweet, loving kiss. One of her hands reaching up and tangling into his hair as the other cradled his back. In response, Malphas ran one hand up her back. She mewled at the action. He growled low, his tongue darted into her mouth.

*Malphas.* She sent amidst their song and heat that danced through them.

*Mine. Mine, for all eternity.* He responded.

They pulled away after a few minutes with her gasping for breath. Malphas' eyes closed at the sound, relishing in it. Frances looked into the demon's eyes as he gazed into hers. Her hands slipped to cup his face. Malphas slid his hands across her back.

"Before we make love to one another. I have one last gift to give you." She whispered.

He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. She took a step back, lowering her hands from his face. His hands remained on her waist. She summoned a black square that was slightly bigger than the box for the necklace she made herself. He took it and unwrapped it. It was encased in a black case like her necklace was. He opened it. His eyebrow raised. It was a silver pocket watch. There was a cleft etched on the front of it. He carefully took it out. It was slightly heavier than a normal pocket watch. He clicked it open. Their song echoed out of the watch. His eyes widened as he heard it. His eyes looked over where a clock face would be, but instead saw a painted picture to the two of them dancing. He in a black tuxedo, her in a purple dress. On the inside of the lid it read, "Love, music, and darkness surrounds us always.". He looked up at her in utter shock. His body trembled.

*This is… This is..*

Malphas: So beautiful~~~~~~!

Frances smiled fondly.

"How?" He asked her.

"I talked extensively with a music box company, who was able to make this for you. I wrote down the notes for our song, then made sure he forgot it after making it. Of course, I ensured he made only one copy and got rid of said copy so whoever it belongs to in the future will still be able to create it and receive the credit for it."

He gently caressed her cheek lovingly.

"I love you, Frances."

She smiled brilliantly. Their flames roaring loudly within them.

"I love you, Malphas."

He carefully closed it and placed it in his other pocket. He looked back up at her as she took his hand. She quickly made her way to the black curtain. She moved it. His eyes widened. A gasp escaped his lips. Her bed with the mirror headboard sat against the wall. Candles of varying lengths and widths dotted the room in black candelabras along with red, black, and red and black petals were tossed throughout the room and on the bed. His eyes met hers as she stepped in front of him. Her hands wrapped around his neck.

"Happy birthday, Malphas." She whispered, seductively.

Malphas smirked. His eyes flashed fuchsia.

In the blink of an eye, the both of them were naked, Frances was on her hands and knees facing the headboard, Malphas was positioned behind her. His clawed hands encased hers. He quickly pushed himself deep inside her. A sharp gasp escaped her lips. He took immense pleasure in the way her back dipped, lips parted, eyes closing in pure pleasure. He felt her claws extend from her nails and sensed her heeled feet made an appearance. She trembled fiercely. He licked her neck as they both thrusted when he neared his end.

"Malphas."

"Beautiful."

Frances and Malphas purred. They both began to thrust in a fast rhythm. Their song sang loudly as the fire within them met and danced with each other. Their lust and love for the other carried them quickly to the highest peak that they had ever felt.

"I-I LOVE YOU, MALPHAS!" Frances screamed as she went over the edge.

"I LOVE YOU, FRANCES!" Malphas roared with her.

His darkness snuffed out the lights. She let out another scream of pleasure at the power of his darkness. She collapsed onto the bed, her body twitching in pleasure violently. Malphas leaned over her, attempting to catch his breath. He nuzzled into her neck, giving it another lick.

"My precious Frances." He whispered, breathlessly.

Her body shivered in response, causing him to groan.

"Malphas." She groaned.

He slowly pulled out of her, rolled her over so she was more comfortable before carefully reinserting himself into her. She mewled quietly, her hands reaching for him, her claws flexing. He lowered his head allowing her to wrap her arms around his neck. She pulled him close, nuzzling into his neck with a sigh. He was all the way inside her by the time she pulled him close.

He smiled in contented happiness as he heard and felt her even breaths. She was his for all eternity. He found the way she worried over how she did not wish him a "Happy birthday" early this morning, adorable. It was just like her to be concerned with that. He ran his fingers over the scars she had on her back. She shivered in her sleep. They both groaned as they were still entwined. He allowed her to sleep despite still wanting to pleasure her. He knew she need sleep. Not too much, at least two hours. If she needed more, he would let her. They did spend quite a while in one another's arms this morning with many passionate rounds and plus with her dealing with her new abilities as well as the plans she had for his birthday, he could sense how tired she was, despite how she tried to hide it. Besides, there will be plenty of times for him to pleasure her. He would do anything for his creature. He nuzzled her hair, deeply inhaling smelling a smokey rose and peaches scent emitting from her. His fuchsia eyes continued to glow in the dark as he looked at her.

"Mine. For all eternity."
