A/N: Hello, everyone! Two things! One: the song is the movie version and not of the soundtrack, just so you don't get confused. :) Second, there is one bit of sexual content. There is a line where it starts and where it ends. Enjoy!
Chapter Twenty-Eight: Christmas with Friends, Jealous Demon Waltzes, and Another Birthday
It was nearing the end of November. Frances and Ciel continued to work on their paperwork, oils and potions, going to a few charity events, discussing what day to have a ball with Alois, and receiving said invitation to Alois' New Year's Eve ball to which they accepted. It was going to be a costume ball. When they received it, Frances began to think of what her costume would be. She eventually decided and inquired Sebastian about his feathers whether they would cause him pain if they were struck with a needle (She used silver string to tie the feathers to the necklace.). He looked at her with amusement and told her, "No.". He then inquired if she would be doing some sort of voodoo with it. She smiled sweetly and said, "Yes." before shaking her head and said, "No, of course not. It's a surprise.". He chuckled with amusement.
Frances was also thinking a lot about going to visit her siblings as well. She wanted Sebastian and Ciel to go with her, but she didn't want to deprive her friends of the Young Master's presence. She would invite her siblings here if she wasn't so afraid someone would come along to use them against her. Especially, Lau. Her fuchsia eyes flashed the second that thought passed her mind. She instantly felt the calm and reassurance Malphas sent her causing her to calm down and her eyes to return to normal. Once she had calmed down, she figured it would be best for everyone if she went to visit her siblings by herself.
That night after she got ready for bed and Malphas joined her after readying the Young Master for bed, she laid on him as she normally did when she wanted to speak to him about things.
"Malphas," She started, gently caressing his cheek.
Malphas spun them so he hovered over her. His ungloved hand moved from her shoulder to her cheek as the other held her back firmly close to his body as he pressed close to her. His forehead met hers as his eyes were cast in shadow.
"I want to go with you." He muttered softly.
She let out a sigh. Her hand lightly caressing his cheek as the other went through the strands of his hair.
"I want you to be with me as well, Malphas. I know they would want to see you too, but… I can't just let you and the Young Master come along. That wouldn't be fair to the servants and it would be suspicious if they came with us. I can't…"
He placed a finger upon her lips, stopping the explanation he already knew.
"I know." He said gently, though his eyes were hardened, his hand trailed to her chin, repeatedly rubbing it, "You make me feel so much conflicting emotions, Frances. I don't know whether to cage you or continue setting you free to see you continue to grow. (A seductive smile appeared upon her lips. Before she could speak however, he kissed her lips softly. She responded back. The flames danced wildly. He pulled away after a few seconds. He smiled at her loving eyes. He nuzzled her nose with his own. He pulled her back slightly.) Go visit our family for the holiday."
She smiled brightly as her purr started. The sheer happiness he could clearly see in her eyes whenever he mentioned her family as his never ceased to send the demon into delight, love, and lust for his mate. He tugged her close, his eyes narrowing as his voice hardened slightly playfully, but mostly seriously in warning.
"Though, if anything untoward happens, I will not hesitate to cage you."
A smirk crossed her features. Her hands trailed down his cheek to his chest, slightly pushing against it as if she was going to flip him over. Instead, she leaned up, pressing herself flush against the demon. Playfulness, lust, and desire within her brown eyes.
"Would you like to see me caged, Master?" She asked, seductively. She licked his nose, "Would that please you?"
Malphas' eyes widened. They flashed fuchsia as he thrusted his hips against hers. Her eyes closed as a moan escaped her.
"Such a little seductress." He commented, licking her neck causing her to moan again, tilting her neck to give him more access. He pressed another kiss upon her neck, "Yes. I'll enjoy putting you in a cage." He purred. A thoughtful expression crossed his face, "Though, you might escape that as well. (A smirk appeared upon his lips.) I'll have to keep you by my side for all eternity."
She smiled seductively. Her hand brushed under his left eye. He shuddered slightly. She leaned close to his lips.
"I'll always remain by your side for all eternity."
He warbled in pleasure. They continued to stare at one another.
After a few minutes of silence, she spoke,
"Sooooo, I can go?" She asked.
He sighed.
*This creature…*
"Yes, my mate. You can go."
"Thank you, Malphas." She said, kissing his lips.
He kissed her back. They pulled away after a few seconds.
"You're welcome, my mate."
The following day (Which happened to be the first of December.) after breakfast, the Young Master invited her to his Office with Sebastian following after them. As she walked side by side Ciel, Frances felt Lizzie's incredible excitement. She was a very energetic person, however this way even more. As they passed through the door, the feeling that she was on her way here coursed through her. She glanced back to Sebastian who shook his head slightly. She gave a small nod before turning forward. They made it to their respective seats.
"So, you wish to visit your siblings for the holiday season." He stated instead of asked.
After all, this was around the time she asked. She smiled.
"Yes, please. Though, as much as I would like you and Sebastian to join, I don't wish to take you from the people that care about you here." She explained.
He nodded once in understanding.
"Very well. Though, I would prefer it if you would take Tanaka with you, I know that is not plausible considering his age. (Frances nodded in agreement.) Besides, I know you can take care of yourself. Just… return to us safely."
Frances smiled while Sebastian's eyes widened slightly in surprise.
"I will. Thank you, Ciel."
"Sebastian, make all the proper preparations for her departure."
Sebastian bowed with a hand on his heart.
"Yes, my lord."
Suddenly, the front door slammed open.
"CIELLLLLLL! FRANCESSSSSS!" Lizzie's high-pitched squeal sounded throughout the manor.
Ciel's eye widened. It narrowed after a second at Frances.
"You couldn't have warned me?" He asked, darkly.
Frances smiled brilliantly.
"You can't deny that you dislike it, Ciel."
A blush spread across his cheeks as he looked away with a, "Hmph!". A moment later, the Office door slammed open. Lizzie skipped in wearing a bright pink fluffy day dress with a dark pink bow around the waist and at her chest. The white gloves on her hands matched the white stockings upon her feet as well as bright pink heels with dark pink bows on the top of her heels. She was wearing golden bow earrings, her hair in her usual twirled pigtails.
"Oh." She said, surprised, "Good! You're both here!"
She ran in. Frances stood up. She faced Lizzie with a bright smile and open arms. Lizzie ran into them and squeezed her tightly enough to where she said, "Oomph!" as she squeezed her back. Lizzie giggled. They pulled away, but didn't release one another's arms.
"Good morning, Lizzie."
"Good morning, Frances."
They greeted one another. They released each other right after. Lizzie smiled at Sebastian.
"Good morning, Sebastian." Lizzie greeted.
"Good morning, Lady Elizabeth." Sebastian said, bowing slightly, "To what do we own this visit?"
She smiled happily.
"Well, I have the besssttt news! (She turned to Ciel.) Ciel, Mother has decided we will spend Christmas here with you and Frances. Isn't that wonderful?"
Ciel's eye widened once again as he spluttered slightly. Frances' face and heart fell.
"Wha-?" He asked, slightly alarmed about Aunt Francis.
She turned to Frances and took her hands in hers.
"I cannot wait to spend the holiday with you, Frances!"
Frances' face fell further.
"Oh, Lizzie. I'm so sorry, but… (Lizzie's face began to fall. Frances could feel the disappointment and cursed herself for being the cause of it.) I will be out of town for the holidays."
"Oh." She said, sadly, "Where are you going?"
Ciel cleared his throat causing Lizzie to turn to him.
"She is going to the states for work." Ciel lied.
Frances mentally frowned as Lizzie's face pinched slightly. She could feel her sadness, annoyance, and displeasure.
"That's mean of you, Ciel."
"Lizzie." Frances said, gaining her attention, "It was either Ciel or myself."
"Oh." She said, softly.
Frances squeezed her hands.
"I know you love us both (She paused for a moment.), but perhaps we can celebrate Christmas today instead? I have your present."
Lizzie's eyes sparkled in happiness.
"You do?" She asked.
Frances nodded, also brightening up.
"I do."
"I can go get yours as well. It'll be a while since I have to return home. Excuse me while I go get it!"
"Let us go together then we can meet in the salon when you get back. Is that all right?" Frances asked.
"Yes, of course!" Lizzie exclaimed.
They took one another's arms and looked back at the two gentlemen in the room.
"Excuse us, gentlemen." They said at the same time.
They turned forward and walked out of the room leaving butler and Earl staring dumbfounded behind them.
"That woman acts more childish by the day." Ciel commented with a sigh.
Sebastian gave an amused chuckle.
"She never truly had a childhood, my lord. Perhaps you should take a page out of her book and learn to play like a child." He ended his sentence with a smirk.
"Shut up." The Young Master grumbled.
Sebastian covered his mouth behind his fist to hide his amused smile.
When Lady Elizabeth returned, the two young ladies met one another in the salon as they had discussed. They exchanged presents. They opened their gifts. Lizzie squealed after unwrapping and opening the pink velvet jewelry case. Inside was a beautiful pink marguerite necklace with matching earrings on golden chains. Frances gasped when she tore off the wrapping paper. She caressed the music book for several musicals.
"Thank you, Lizzie!" Frances said, "I don't have this one."
Lizzie smiled.
"You're welcome. And thank you so much for my gift. It's absolutely beautiful!" She shrieked, grabbing one of her hands.
"You're welcome." Frances said, brightly.
"Will you play some songs Frances, please?" Lady Elizabeth asked.
"If you want me to, yes." Frances answered.
"Yes, please."
Frances nodded.
"Very well. Let's go."
Frances clutched the music book lovingly against her chest while Lizzie held her jewelry box close to her as the two made their way upstairs.
Once inside her music room, Frances and Lady Elizabeth sat on the piano bench. Lady Elizabeth switched her jewelry for the new ones Frances bought her as Frances placed the book upon the music rack. She opened it to the first page. She looked it over for a moment, smiling slightly before she looked at Lizzie.
"Ready?" She asked.
"Yes."
Frances looked back at the music sheet and began to play.
A few hours had passed, Sebastian and Ciel were walking through the manor as it was time for lunch. Ciel wondered what Frances and Lizzie were doing. Though, from the calm, contented look on his butler's face, he could harbor a guess. When they stopped in front of Frances' music room, he knew he was right. Sebastian opened the door for him. They saw Lizzie and Frances laughing. Both their eyes alit with happiness. Ciel smiled a little when he saw the sparkle in Frances'. It reminded him of how she was with her siblings.
"Pardon me, my ladies." Sebastian spoke, bowing slightly. Both women looked towards him, "Lunch is ready."
They smiled.
"Thank you, Sebastian." They said at the same time.
They both stood and made their way to the door.
*You'll need extra plates, my darling.* Frances sent Malphas, having felt two familiar people were on their way a few minutes before Sebastian and Ciel made their way down the hall, as she passed him.
*Thank you, Frances.* He sent her.
*You're welcome.*
The four of them continued down the hall. Lizzie wrapped her arm around Ciel's. Frances smiled slightly at the contentment emanating from both of them, though she felt a strong pang of jealousy that she couldn't do the same with Sebastian. Her arm began to tingle in her desire to hold him as Lizzie held Ciel. She felt a gentle brush against her tingling arm and calmness flood her heart.
*Malphas.*
*Soon, my precious mate.* Malphas sent her.
She glanced at him with a smile. He smiled back. She faced the couple yet again. They had just made it down the stairs when the doors were once again slammed open.
"Frances! Ciel! I have arrived!" Prince Soma shouted, walking through the entrance.
Agni walked in behind him. Agni bowed as his Prince gasped once he spotted their friends.
"Namaste ji." Agni greeted.
"Ah! Lady Elizabeth! You're here too!" Prince Soma exclaimed.
"Good afternoon, Prince Soma, Agni." Frances greeted.
"Hello, Prince Soma, Mr. Agni." Lizzie greeted, giving a curtsy.
Ciel sighed. Even though he knew the noisy Prince was coming today, it still slightly bothered him. He and Lizzie were both energetic people. He like his manor to be calm and quiet.
Sebastian stepped forward. Frances could feel his amusement at Ciel's conflicting emotions. He bowed at the waist.
"Good afternoon, Prince Soma, Agni. Please, follow me into the dining room as I have prepared lunch for everyone."
"Yes, please, Sebastian. I am famished." Prince Soma exclaimed as he patted his belly.
Sebastian stood back up.
"This way then, if you please." Sebastian said, politely.
The five of them followed the butler to the dining room. Frances thanked him as she passed by. Once they were all seated, Sebastian excused himself.
"Excuse me, ladies and gentlemen, I shall return with your meals shortly."
"Sebastian, would you like some help?" Agni asked.
Sebastian gave him a smile.
"Very well. Come with me, please."
Agni nodded.
"Yes."
Agni followed Sebastian into the kitchen.
The four of them talked while they waited for the food to be brought out to catch up with one another. They continued even after the food was brought out. Soma was saying that he couldn't wait to spend the holiday with her and Ciel. Frances had to regrettably tell him that she was going to the states for work. Like Lizzie, he called Ciel out for being mean, but when she explained it was either her or him, he pouted.
"I'll miss you." He said.
She smiled sadly.
"I'll miss you, too. But, I actually have a gift for you. (She looked up at Agni as Soma's face brightened.) I have one for you as well, Agni."
Agni's eyes widened.
"M-My Lady, that is not proper for a lady of your status…" Agni stuttered, shocked.
Frances smiled even more.
"I am in a unique position and will give all my friends and family gifts regardless of status." She explained.
Agni smiled happily.
"You have such a kind soul." He complimented.
"Thank you." She said, pushing back her chair as she was finished with her meal, "Excuse me. I shall go and retrieve your gifts. (She looked at Ciel.) Can we move to the salon, please?"
Ciel nodded once.
"Very well." She said, standing up from his chair.
Lady Elizabeth and Prince Soma followed suit as Sebastian and Agni began to clear the table.
"We have gifts for you too!" Prince Soma exclaimed. He turned to Agni, "Can you go get them please, Agni?"
Agni bowed.
"Of course, your Highness. Excuse me, my friends, I shall be back momentarily."
Frances separated from her friends to retrieve their gifts while Agni made his way to the door.
When she returned to the salon, Sebastian and Agni were in the room as well. Frances approached Prince Soma first and handed him a brightly wrapped golden box with an orange bow on top.
"Merry Christmas, Prince Soma."
He accepted the box with a,
"Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome."
Frances turned and smiled at Agni. She handed him an orange wrapped box with a bright red bow.
"Merry Christmas, Agni."
"You are too kind, Miss Frances. Thank you."
"You're welcome. (She turned when she heard Prince Soma opening his present. She turned to Ciel and walked over to him. She handed him a dark blue wrapped present. He raised an eyebrow.) We may as well celebrate the holidays today before I leave." She said, smiling brightly.
He accepted the gift with a small blush. Frances smiled at his embarrassment. Frances turned when she heard Prince Soma gasp. His eyes were wide with happiness. In one hand was a golden shawl while the other held a chess book that would help him practice his chess moves. He looked up at Frances with a laugh. He got up and hugged her.
"Thank you, Frances!"
Frances smiled and returned the hug.
"You're welcome, Prince Soma."
They pulled away. Prince Soma sat down and waited patiently as the others opened their presents. Frances walked up to Sebastian and handed him a black wrapped medium box. He raised an eyebrow. She smiled.
"Yes, you get a present too." She answered his unspoken question.
"Thank you, Frances." Agni said, gaining her attention.
Frances turned when he spoke to see him smiling as he looked back down at different bath salts and the book Persuasion by Jane Austen.
"You're welcome."
"Oh, Ciel! These are sooooooo pretty! (Everyone except Sebastian turned come Lizzie's squeal. In Ciel's hands were dark blue leather gloves with the Phantomhive crest on the buttons.) Frances has such lovely taste!" Lizzie complimented.
"Indeed." Ciel agreed. He looked up at her, "Thank you, Frances."
Frances inclined her head.
"You're welcome, Ciel."
Frances could feel Sebastian's gratitude.
"Thank you, my Lady." His voice rang out.
Frances turned to him, seeing his red eyes meet her brown ones. She had gotten him black leather gloves with an M on both buttons for his true name, though if people were to see, they would think it match to his "last name". She also got him some cuff links with the same M on the buttons. Though she was going to give both Sebastian and Ciel another present on Christmas day.
"My turn!" Prince Soma exclaimed.
He handed Frances a present. She accepted it.
"Thank you."
"Agni, give her your gift too!"
"Yes, your Highness." Agni said, bowing.
He straightened then handed her a thin wrapped present.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome, my Lady."
She opened her gifts from Prince Soma and Agni. She laughed when she unraveled the purple frilly apron. The entire fabric was dark purple while the ruffles were light purple.
"Thank you, Prince Soma. It's cute."
He smiled brightly.
"You're welcome."
Agni's gift was a lovely purple scarf and two music books.
"Thank you, Agni."
"You're welcome." He said, inclining his head.
They all stood and exchanged hugs, even Ciel to everyone's surprise.
The rest of the day was spent decorating the manor, playing games, and even playing in the first snow fall of the season. Though, Ciel only stood off to the side. Frances could sense he was happy. Especially, when Lizzie brought him two small snowmen she made of him and her causing him to blush. It was sweet.
Another week had passed and today was her monthly visit with Alois. Today, they were spending it at Phantomhive Manor. Frances was dressed in her light blue dress with her hair pulled up into two half buns. Ciel didn't want to deal with Alois, so it was agreed he would be present to receive Alois then excuse himself to deal with paperwork.
Frances hummed hers and Sebastian's song as she sat in her dining chair waiting for Ciel. She didn't stop as the door to the dining room opened. Malphas' fuchsia eyes met her brown ones. A loving smile showed upon his face. She smiled back. When Sebastian pushed in the chair for Ciel, the song ended. Sebastian excused himself to retrieve their breakfast.
"Good morning, Ciel." Frances greeted.
"Good morning." He muttered.
Frances smiled as she looked away feeling the boy's tiredness and annoyance despite Alois not being here yet. Sebastian brought out the trolley of food for them. He placed the covered plates down in front of them.
"Today's breakfast is vegetable omelets with bell peppers and cheese with a side of fried potatoes." Sebastian announced, uncovering the plates.
Once he moved the lids to the trolley, he picked up a matching cup to the plate and began to elegantly pour the tea.
"Today's tea is Chamomile by Justin and Brooks." Sebastian announced, serving Ciel first then Frances.
"Thank you, Sebastian."
Frances could feel Alois' excitement and that they were on their way.
"You're welcome, my Lady." Sebastian said with a slight bow.
Frances and Ciel began eating.
As breakfast was being cleared away, Frances could feel Alois' excitement spike as they drew nearer and nearer to Phantomhive Manor.
"Alois will be here shortly." Frances told Ciel as they walked out the dining room.
Ciel sighed, placing his fingers against his forehead in annoyance.
"I still don't understand how you enjoy his company."
Frances smiled. A second of silence passed when a sly smirk spread across his face. He looked sideways at her.
"Though, you are in love with a demon and are friends with Grim Reapers."
A small pang of sadness filled her. She pushed it back as a bright smile lit her face.
"Just because you don't appreciate all the different aspects of people and beings, doesn't mean I can't."
Malphas' warble sounded within her mind.
"Hmph. I suppose you are right." Ciel grumbled, looking away from her with a small blush on his cheeks.
Frances' smile widened. Sebastian appeared from the kitchen. He looked at her with a smirk upon his face. Her smile softened and brightened with love for her demon. Sebastian moved towards the front door, hearing the carriage pull up. The door opened promptly after Alois' knock.
"Frances! Ciel!" Alois exclaimed as he leapt through the double doors, a giggle escaped his lips.
He was wearing black short laced boots, black slacks, purple vest with a white shirt, and his purple coat. Claude followed stoically after the boy, though there was a slight narrowing of the eyes from both demons. Sebastian closed the door once Claude was through. Alois ran up and hugged Ciel, rubbing his cheek against his.
"It's so good to see you, Ciel! It feels like it's been forever!" Alois laughed.
Ciel groaned, trying to pull away from the energetic boy, but not succeeding whatsoever.
"Ye-Yes. It's good to see you too, Alois Trancy." Ciel grumbled out.
Alois laughed again, releasing the boy. He ruffled his hair, much to Ciel's chagrin. Frances couldn't help, but smile. He turned to her, his eyes sparkled with happiness.
"Mother!" He exclaimed, launching himself at her.
She caught him and spun him around a few times causing him to laugh. She brought him close, hugging him tightly.
"Hello, Alois. How are you today?" She asked, leaning away so she could see his face.
"I am excited to celebrate Christmas with you! Though… (He glared at Ciel.) I can't believe you're making her work over the holidays."
"Yes, well, one of us had to go and seeing as my fiancée and her family are coming over, it couldn't be helped. Now, if you excuse me, I have some work to attend to."
"What?! (He released Frances who had put him back on the ground.) But, I came to celebrate Christmas with you! I brought you a gift and everything!"
Ciel's eye widened in surprise. Claude stepped forward, two presents in his hands. One was a blue that matched the color of Ciel's suit, the other one was wrapped in purple with a golden bow. Alois turned to Claude and snatched the first box from his butler's hand. He thrusted the gift at Ciel. Ciel took it was a quiet, reluctant,
"Thank you."
"Open it!" Alois encouraged.
Ciel let out a sigh. He met Frances' eyes. She could fell his deep annoyance. She looked back at him with eyes that told him to do as he says. He looked back at the present and began to open it. Ciel raised an eyebrow. It was a book about demons. He raised his head to meet eyes with Alois who was grinning widely.
"I bought this for you, in case you didn't have a book regarding demons." Alois explained.
"Thank you." Ciel stated, tersely. He cleared his throat, "Well, if you will excuse me, I shall leave you two to your play date."
Ciel turned and began walking up the stairs. Alois pouted as he watched him go.
"Alois." Frances called.
Alois looked over at her. She lifted her hand, gesturing him forward.
"I have your gift right here."
Alois brightened. He skipped over to her. Frances led him to the Christmas tree that stood to the left of the staircase. Frances knelt down to retrieve a purple box with a green bow. She stood back up and turned around.
"Merry Christmas, Alois." She said, handing him the box.
He accepted the box with a bright smile. He quickly placed it upon the floor. He turned to Claude and grabbed the purple box from his hands. He turned back to Frances and thrusted the gift into her hands.
"Merry Christmas, Frances!"
She accepted the box.
"Thank you. May I open it now?" She asked.
He nodded as he bent to pick up his gift from her.
"'Course! I'm gonna open your gift."
He did as he said he was. Frances smiled before opening her own gift. They both gasped at the same time. Alois pulled out a beautiful light blue crystal heart frame with bluebells embed into the crystal. Inside the frame held a favorite picture to both Frances and Alois. It was when they were at the fair as they were walking to one of the rides or games. He gasped. At the same time, Frances pulled out a beautiful diamond bracelet with the word Mother spelled out in pink with red roses on either side. A gasp escaped her own lips.
"Alois, this is beautiful. Thank you." Frances said, touched by the gift.
Alois hugged her tightly, pressing his cheek against hers. She returned the gesture. Happiness sparkling brightly from them.
"You're welcome, Mother. Thank you for my gift. I love this picture of us."
She smiled.
"Me too."
They pulled away from one another.
Sebastian stepped forward.
"Excuse me, my lord, my Lady. (They turned their gaze to Sebastian who bowed. Frances could feel Alois' hatred spike for a moment without his facial expression changing. She met eyes with Sebastian who looked at her knowingly as he straightened.) I shall be taking Claude to our servants' quarters unless you wish him to be by your side, Lord Trancy?"
"Nah. That's fine. Claude, go with Sebastian."
"Yes, your Highness." Claude agreed with a bow.
"Excuse us then, my lord, my Lady." Sebastian said, bowing slightly.
He straightened and the two walked past Alois and Frances. The two of them watched as they walked towards the kitchen. Once they were out of sight, Frances turned to Alois with a smile.
"So," She started gaining his attention, "what would you like to do today?"
"Can we do Christmas things today?" He asked her.
She nodded.
"Of course. What would you like to start with?"
He smiled.
"Let's start with making ornaments!" He exclaimed.
She smiled and nodded.
"Very well. Let me put this on then we shall."
She put the bracelet over her left wrist. After struggling with it for a few seconds, she clasped it close.
"All right. Let's go."
Alois took her hand and tugged her forward with a giggle.
They spent the day making ornaments using paper, paints, and clear ornaments. They even made colorful paper trains that would wrap around each demon, twice. Frances laughed at that comment Alois made and the annoyed feelings from Claude and Sebastian. After spending time making ornaments, Alois wanted to spend some time outside making snow angels. So, they did. They were making their third one. Suddenly, Frances could feel Bard's mischievousness, but it was too late to do anything.
Bard threw a snowball at Alois. It was in slight retaliation for what had happened in the Trancy household as well as for what followed after when that Claude fellow showed up at the manor.
The aim was true when it hit Alois in the face as he made a snow angel. Frances' eyes widened as she stopped laughing after she heard the plop of snow hitting the boy who became silent. She turned in time to see the snowball fall from his face. She could feel the anger from the boy beside her as he sat up quickly and looked around. A glare formed on his face as he spotted Bard hiding behind a snowbank.
*Uh oh.*
She thought he was going to yell at Baldroy when suddenly she felt his mischievousness. He quickly grabbed her hand and dragged her behind a tree. Her eyes widened in surprise. He began making snowballs. He noticed she wasn't making any.
"Make snowballs, Mother! So we can beat him." Alois said, making a second snowball.
Frances nodded and did as she was told. They both peeked out from behind the tree. Another snowball sailed towards them. They ducked back behind the tree. They peeked out again and threw their snowballs at Bard when he peeked his head out. He was hit in the face by both snowballs. He fell backwards.
"Oi!" He snapped, "That ain't fair!"
"You started it, Baldroy!" Frances shouted back only to be hit in the side of her shoulder once she finished her sentence.
Her eyes looked down as the snow slid off her black cloak. She looked back up and looked around. She spotted another attacker by the side of the manor in the form of…
"Finnian!"
He laughed and waved.
Though, Frances' eyebrows furrowed in confusion. In the back of her mind, something told her that this wasn't…
Another snowball hit her in the stomach. She looked up to see Finny prepared to throw another snowball when another snowball sailed past her towards Finny who ducked behind the wall. She ducked down behind the tree with Alois when she spotted Mey-rin to the right behind another tree.
"Alois, duck." Frances whispered.
He did so. Frances threw her snowball as Mey-rin did. Their snowballs clashed with each other.
"Three against two! That's hardly fair!" Alois exclaimed.
"Don't worry, Alois. We can take them." Frances said, a wide smile upon her face as she felt her friends' enjoyment, happiness, mischievousness, and playfulness.
Alois smirked. His face full of determination. They formed a strategy then put their plan into action.
They started towards Mey-rin, separating from each other. Mey-rin and the others continued to throw snowballs as they ran from tree to tree. They got hit a few times, but was able to avoid many of the blows. Mey-rin drew closer as well, though she stayed towards the middle of them. Suddenly, they came at her from both sides. Alois struck her on her chest while Frances hit the back of her knees with their balls of snow. Mey-rin let out a scream. Before she could hit the ground however, Frances caught her by her arms. Mey-rin looked up at her with a sheepish smile.
"My Lady." She greeted.
"Do you surrender, Mey-rin?" Frances asked, sternly.
Mey-rin sighed, lowering her head slightly.
"Yes, my Lady."
Frances and Alois giggled.
"Good." They both said, Alois with his arms crossed.
Frances carefully helped Mey-rin up. The three of them ducked when more snowballs began to hurl towards them. The three of them glanced at one another. A smirk spread upon all three faces. They came up with another game plan.
Frances and Alois made their way back towards their original spot once again avoiding the snowballs and throwing balls of snow of their own. Each would hit their targets, but neither fell down. When they were near their original spot by the tree, they noticed Finny was there. Alois and Frances shared a smirk. Alois ran forward into the open. Finny threw a snowball. It hit Alois straight in the chest. Alois fell to the snow covered ground. Finny and Baldroy cheered.
"Hah! Take that!" Baldroy shouted.
Unbeknownst to Finny, Frances rounded the corner on her left side while Mey-rin ran towards him from behind.
"Ah! Finny, look out!" Baldroy exclaimed.
He threw several snowballs causing Mey-rin to slip when it hit her on her feet. Finny turned towards Baldroy's voice when he caught sight of Mey-rin falling towards him. Frances threw a snowball as they collided, hitting Finny in the shoulder. They fell into the pile of snowballs Alois and Frances left behind, softening the blow. Alois and Frances ran up to them.
"Are you two all right?" Frances asked as they sat up groaning, Finny rubbing his head.
"Yes, my Lady. We're all right." Mey-rin answered, looking up at her.
Frances sensed no injuries, only soreness from when they collided. She nodded with relief.
"Good."
She held out her hand. Mey-rin took it. Frances helped her up. Once she was back on her feet, Mey-rin dusted the snow off her front. They looked over at Finny who looked up at them with a bright smile.
"That was fun!" He exclaimed.
Frances smiled.
"It isn't over yet." She said, ducking out of the tree to lock eyes with Baldroy.
The others followed suit. He paled.
"Uh oh." He said.
The four of them ran towards the chef.
"Wh-?! Wa-Wait a minute!" He exclaimed, getting up from his knelling position on the ground.
He turned to run. However, he did not get very far when the four of them tackled him. They all threw snowballs at him as they laughed.
"Oi! Hey! Stop it!" He shouted.
He turned his head to speak to them when he got a face full of snow courtesy of Alois.
"It's not nice to throw snow in people's faces, Baldroy." Alois said.
Tanaka's "Ho, ho, ho." could be heard from an igloo he made not far from them as if in agreement.
Baldroy tsked.
Suddenly, Frances felt his presence. A few seconds past when Baldroy spotted the black clad shoes belonging to the butler of the household.
"What on Earth are you three doing?" He asked, sternly.
The three servants stilled. In the next second, they quickly scrambled up causing Frances and Alois to shriek as they fell off them. They stood at attention. Frances stood then helped Alois to stand as well. Sebastian raised an eyebrow.
"Well?" He inquired.
"I was finished with prepping for food when I came out here to smoke and take a break when I saw Lord Trancy and Lady Frances making snow angels and well…" Baldroy explained, rubbing the back of his head.
"I was done shoveling snow off the roof when I hear Bard start the snowball fight. I went to investigate and-and…" Finny explained, looking sad.
"I was passing by with the linens from the laundry room, I was when I heard the snowball fight and well…"
"It was just a bit of fun, Sebastian." Frances spoke, gaining all their attention, "They'll go right back to their chores (She looked at her friends whom she could feel were grateful for the interference.), right guys?"
"Yes, my Lady." The three saluted.
Sebastian sighed. Frances could feel his slight exasperation though there was also pridefulness as well.
"Still though, my Lady, for them to act this way in front of a guest. It is unacceptable."
"I do not mind." Alois spoke, gaining their attention which caused him to smiled broadly, "It was fun! My servants are positively boring and don't know the meaning of word fun."
The Phantomhive servants stared at the boy while Frances smiled.
"Nevertheless," Sebastian spoke, turning back to the three servants. He clapped his hands, "Return to your work."
"Yes, sir!" Mey-rin shouted as the three of them ran off.
"Honestly." Sebastian sighed, though Frances could feel it was all for show. Sebastian looked over at Alois and bowed, "My apologies, Lord Trancy. Please, enjoy your time with Frances."
"Oh, I will." The boy said with a smirk.
Sebastian's eyes narrowed. He straightened. His gaze turned to her.
*I will deal your punishment later.* The demon sent her.
A shiver ran down her spine. The demon gave her a smirk. His eyes shifted to Alois.
"Excuse me, my lord, (He turned his gaze to hers.) my Lady."
Sebastian turned and walked away leaving the two back to their activities. Frances turned to Alois.
"Would you like to build a snowman?" She asked him.
A wide grin spread upon his face.
They spent another half an hour making a snowman. They used a light blue scarf to wrap around its neck, a black top hat with a matching light blue ribbon around it on top it's head, black coal for the eyes, and a carrot for the nose, a smile drawn on its face. The items were all summoned to Frances' hands. Alois grabbed the items as they were summoned.
After making the snowman, they went back inside, Alois taking her hand.
"Would you like some hot chocolate, Alois?" Frances asked.
"Mmm! Yes, please!" Alois exclaimed, "Chocolate chip cookies as well?"
"How about we make both together?" She asked.
A giggle escaped his lips.
"Okay!" He exclaimed, swinging their hands back and forth.
Once inside the main kitchen, Frances gathered all the necessary supplies to make cookies and hot chocolate, humming a Christmas tune. They made the hot chocolate first. Alois wanted to fill the kettle so she allowed him to. Once he filled it, he handed it to her so she could set it on the stove to heat up. Next, she grabbed the tin of hot chocolate and two bluebell cups she asked Sebastian to order after looking through a catalog a few days ago. The cups had white rims and white handles, beautiful dark blue background with light bluebell flowers on them.
"Bluebells." Alois whispered.
Frances smiled.
"Yes." She said, gently placing them on the counter.
She filled them with the proper amount of hot chocolate powder. She set them aside.
"Now then, shall we get started?" She asked Alois.
"Yes!"
"All right."
They began to make the cookies as they waited for the water to boil. After they mixed the dry and wet ingredients separately, the water was ready. She excused herself to get the kettle. She turned off the stove and picked up the boiling kettle carefully. She turned towards the cups. She began to pour the water into them. She turned to put the kettle back onto the stove. When she turned back, she smiled seeing Alois stirring the liquid within both cups. She moved over to him.
"Do you want to pour or shall I?" She asked.
"Me!" He said, stopping his stirring of the hot chocolate.
He picked up the bowl and was about to dump it all in at once.
"Slo—"
The flour mixture landed mostly into the bowl however, it also splattered not only over the counter, but Frances' dress as well even getting a little bit on her cheek. Alois stared wide-eyed at her. She stared wide-eyed at the mess. Her head lowered, eyes cast in shadow.
"M-Mother?" He asked, worriedly.
She wiped the flour from her cheek with one hand, with her other hand she reached into the flour mixture that was still on the counter. She pulled out a handful and tossed it at Alois' shoulder. He gasped as it splattered on him.
"Frances!" He exclaimed.
Frances smiled mischievously. Alois' grin matched hers. He picked some flour from the pile he poured into the wet ingredients and threw it at her. It hit her in the chest. Feeling slightly childish still because of the snowball fight with her friends and Alois, Frances condoned the flour fight. They darted around the island to try to prevent the hits from one another. The kitchen was a flour covered mess as were the two beings in the kitchen with splashes of flour on their faces and clothing.
A few minutes before in Ciel's Office.
Ciel was sitting at his desk as usual with a deck of cards that he was using to make a tower. Sebastian was standing behind him with eyes closed. Suddenly, he felt his mate's incredulousness then mischievousness. He could hear them throwing something and splatters… His eyes snapped open as his head snapped towards the kitchen. He should probably check on them.
Ciel caught the movement in the corner of his eye.
"Sebastian?"
"Excuse me, Young Master, I shall return momentarily."
Ciel raised an eyebrow.
"Very well." He muttered, quietly.
Sebastian quickly made his way out of the room, closing the door behind him.
Ciel followed after the demon, curious as to what caught the demon's attention.
Sebastian quickly made his way down the stairs, spotting Claude instantly. He knew that he too felt called to check on them.
As Sebastian came down the hallway and Claude around the hall from the servant's room, Frances' head darted up, having heard and sensed both demons and the Young Master. Her eyes widened. She cleaned up the kitchen then Alois then herself in a quick flash. She finished just as the servant's door opened. Sebastian and Claude walked in seeing the room and beings were completely clean. Frances was innocently stirring the flour mixture into the wet ingredients. Alois however… was staring opened mouth at her.
"You're-You're… a demon?!" He asked.
She could feel how betrayed he was.
"I'm a half demon, Alois." She corrected, calmly.
His gaze darkened.
"How is that even possible?!"
She glanced at Sebastian who gave her a confirmed look, allowing her to explain.
"Sebastian fed me his blood over six months, two times on a specific day except one where he only fed me his blood once, thus resulting in becoming a half demon."
Alois stayed silent for a long while as he processed what she told him.
"Disgusting." He spat.
Frances recoiled in shock. Hurt filled her at the appalled feeling that she felt from Alois, though she barely showed it on her face. Sebastian frowned slightly, feeling her sadness. Claude wore a small smirk as he saw the flash of hurt across her face.
"Drinking demon blood sounds disgusting. Actually, drinking any kind of blood is gross. (Frances let out a huff of a laugh in relief while Sebastian and Claude wore matching expressions of indifference though Frances could feel Sebastian's incredulousness and Claude's exasperation and annoyance.) Why didn't you tell me?" He asked her.
She looked away with a far away look in her eyes.
"I've… never told anyone about my powers willingly as I was and still am afraid someone will use force me to use them as… my parents did. Becoming a half demon would make me an even bigger target for those who would want to use me or hurt me (Malphas sent a ferocious growl come those words. She sent him calmness.). I am sorry I didn't tell you when I told you about my powers. Can you please forgive me?" She asked, looking at him with worry in her eyes.
Alois looked at her with surprise. She was always such a happy person, even when she showed understanding over his story, over telling her about Luca. Alois didn't like this look on her at all. He let out a sigh, looking away from her.
"Very well. I forgive you."
Frances smiled brightly with relief. Alois smiled.
*Much better,* He thought.
"Would you like to continue baking cookies?" She asked.
He nodded with a smile of his own.
"Yeah. (He turned to look at Claude.) You can return to the servants' quarters Claude. I'm in good hands."
Claude's eyes narrowed at Frances.
"Would you like to stay Claude? (She looked at Sebastian, ignoring the look of surprise that flashed across his face and sending calmness to her demon as his jealousy spiked.) I take it you're here to make tea?"
"Yes, my Lady. As well as announce the Young Master's arrival."
Sebastian looked at the door causing the other beings to turn towards the door as well. Ciel entered with his eye averted.
"I… was hoping to help bake cookies as well."
Frances and Alois smiled. Alois ran up to him and hugged him, rubbing his cheek against Ciel's.
"Yes, of course you can join us, Ciel!" He laughed, dragging him over towards Frances.
They continued making cookies after getting rid of the first batch. Alois showed that he made the hot chocolate for himself and Frances which Frances instantly offered to Ciel who accepted the drink. Sebastian and Claude made the tea. When the three of them finished making the cookies (Frances instructing Alois to pour the flour mixture in slowly.), they put them on two cookie sheets. Frances took them to the oven and placed them inside. She closed the door. She straightened. She turned to see Alois laughing while Ciel scowled. Frances smiled at their differing personalities. She met eyes with Sebastian who smirked at her in agreement.
After the cookies were finished baking, it was decided they would enjoy the refreshments in the game room. Frances allowed Alois to carry the tray that held the plate of cookies. Sebastian followed after the two young boys. Frances began to follow Sebastian when suddenly, Claude called out to her.
"Lady Frances."
She turned to Claude who was watching her with stoic eyes. He slowly approached her. When he was inches from her, his golden eyes glinted with intrigue.
"What an intriguing creature you are." He whispered softly enough for only her to hear. He raised his hand as if to caress her cheek. She blocked it. He raised an eyebrow, "You find me disgusting to not allow me to touch you?"
A small smile spread upon her lips as that songentered her mind yet again.
"You know that is not the reason, Claude. I am with another and would never allow another to touch me so intimately. He doesn't even allow innocent friendly kisses from a demon hound without repercussions. As a demon, you should know how territorial he is."
Claude smirked.
"And you aren't afraid. I must admit, you have intrigued me with your… strange acceptance. Since the first day we met and you told me to have a good day despite the fight we had. Even now, you aren't repulsed by the fact that you were turned."
Claude moved his other hand however, a black blur came behind him and grabbed his hand, pinning it to his back. Claude gritted his teeth when he glanced back. Golden eyes met red ones that were filled with protectiveness and possessiveness.
"I believe my mate has already stated her desire to remain with me. She does not wish you to touch her so familiarly, so please stop trying to do so. If you do (His eyes flashed fuchsia and orange.), I will not hesitate to kill you."
Claude matched his glare with one of his own. Though, he did take a respective step back from Frances, removing his arm from her block. Frances smiled as that song ended in the back of her mind.
"Come on, gentlemen, Alois is sure to notice our absence soon." She said, moving towards the door.
Sebastian threw Claude's arm at him before walking around him aggressively and went towards his mate. He ran his hand possessively down her back, wrapping an arm around her waist.
*Mea! (Latin: Mine!)* He growled possessively.
She turned to look up at him with loving brown eyes. She leaned into his embrace, placing a hand on his chest.
*Yes, I am yours as you are mine.* She purred, lovingly.
Malphas' gaze softened. He nuzzled her cheek causing her to giggle.
Claude followed after them, watching the interaction with intrigue. His eyes narrowed as he saw the interesting light and softness that had never been in this demon's eyes for as long as he'd known him. Though, he saw the look every time he watched the two whenever there were no other humans around. He didn't understand how the feeling of love could cause such looks. Both beings looked back at him with a pitying glance, Frances shaking her head slightly as they both looked forward. A smug small smile curled on his lips.
*Interesting.* He thought.
The two being caught up with the two humans right as they were approaching the door to the game room while Claude returned to the servants' quarters. Sebastian released his mate, a bit reluctantly causing both their arms to tingle as well as Frances' hip where his arm had wrapped around. Sebastian stepped forward to open the door. Frances thanked him as usual. He inclined his head. The four of them entered the room.
"So," Alois asked, placing the tray onto a table, "which game should we play?"
Sebastian placed the steaming tea pot onto the tray along with the cups. He tucked the silver tray under his arm. He bowed, politely, excusing himself. Ciel waved him off, dismissively. Sebastian left them alone.
"I don't particularly care." Ciel stated.
"Hmmm." Alois said, moving over to the games and looking through them.
After a few minutes, he pulled out a deck of cards. He turned back to them with a bright smile.
"How about Old Maid?" He asked.
Ciel smirked as Frances smiled.
They played several rounds until Sebastian called them for dinner.
Dinner consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, and freshly baked rolls. Alois praised Sebastian's cooking and laminated about what a fun day he had with the both of them. As Alois swirled the last bit of a roll around his plate and popped it into his mouth, Claude made his appearance.
"Your Highness." He called.
Alois pouted.
"Already?" He asked.
"Yes, your Highness." Claude said.
Alois let out a sigh. Frances stood from her seat as Alois did. They met in the middle. They wrapped their arms around each other in a tight hug.
"Merry Christmas, Alois." She whispered.
"Merry Christmas, Frances." He whispered back.
They pulled back. She ran her hand lightly through his blond hair. She smiled softly at him.
"I love you, Alois." She said.
"I love you, Mother." He said, "You'll be home before my New Year's Eve Party, right?" He asked, sternly.
She smiled.
"Of course. I told you I would be."
He nodded firmly.
"Good. I want that custard you brought last time, please."
Her lips stretched into an amused smile.
"Very well, Alois. Be a good boy. I hope you will find something to keep yourself entertained and not bored."
He nodded.
"Try to have fun on your trip even if you're working."
She nodded.
"I will, thank you."
Claude watched the exchange with curious eyes. There was that light again. It was similar to the look she gave Malphas and yet different.
They walked to the front door. Alois turned to her as Sebastian opened the door for them.
"Good-bye, Mother."
"Good-bye, Alois. Get home safely." She said.
He nodded. He walked out the door with Claude behind him. He stopped and bowed to her.
"Good night, my Lady."
"Good night, Claude."
"Claude!" Alois ordered.
Claude straightened. He walked out the door. Frances, Ciel, and Sebastian stepped outside. They watched as Claude opened the carriage door and assisted his Master inside. He closed the door. As he walked towards the front of the carriage, Alois pushed down the window and waved good-bye while shouting,
"Bye, Mother! Bye, Ciel! I had a great time! (Claude flicked the reigns and they began rolling down the driveway.) See ya soon!"
Frances waved back.
"Good-bye, Alois!"
Ciel inclined his head. Once they were out of sight, the three of them went back inside.
"I'm going to be in my Office." Ciel announced.
They watched as the Young Earl went up the stairs and disappeared around the corner. The second he was out of sight, Malphas turned his hard gaze to her. She could see and feel the exasperation, possessiveness, obsession, and love within his eyes.
"Whatever am I going to do with you? Every time I turn around, you've attracted yet another being to you."
She smiled brightly. She reached up and caressed his cheek.
"That may be true, but none of them could ever have my heart, body, and soul. They all belong to you and only you."
Malphas warbled/purred loudly as he wrapped an arm around her and pulled her flush against him, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss. Their song soared through them as the flames danced with each other. They broke apart after a few minutes. Malphas leaned his forehead against hers. His loving red eyes slowly showed his exasperation again and slight annoyance.
"I believe you are showing Claude the difference in love."
"Good. Maybe that will help him care for Alois better and not find him so annoying. Perhaps with better understanding Alois, he can create his despair without breaking him and leave your soul contract alone."
Malphas stared at her in awe. A proud smirk spread upon his lips. He gripped her waist so their bodies were flushed yet again.
"That may be true, but as you know, I am a territorial creature. I will always be displeased when someone tries to touch what's mine or showed their interest in you."
That song yet against appeared in the back of her mind. A wide grin spread upon her face. Malphas raised an eyebrow.
"What is it?" He asked her.
She reached behind with both her hands to grab his hands. She lifted them to her lips and gave each of them a kiss. She lowered them and released his right hand. She intertwined her fingers with his left one and pulled him with her.
"Come with me." She said, excitedly.
Malphas followed after her curiously. They were soon in her music room. Thankfully, the chairs were already out of the way. She led him to the center of the room. She turned towards him with a seductive smile. His eyes widened a little as he sensed how… aroused she was. Her nails ran up his arms.
"Every time you get jealous when Claude is near, a song enters my mind. It's… different (Her left hand went to his shoulder while her right hand took his left hand into hers.). Much more… (She leaned her body close to his causing his breath to hitch. She leaned towards his ear.) sultry and sharp and intimate."
The demon shivered. A low growl escaped his lips. He exuded his darkness so it filtered throughout the room. The both of them transformed.
A high-pitched string of violins began to play in their minds. Frances pushed out her right leg and dragged it across the floor in a wide arch with her heeled foot pointed.
*Jealousy will drive you… mad!* A male voice that sounded like Sebastian's voice because Frances wanted it to shouted within their minds. At the end of the sentence, Frances stomped her foot sharply against the ground, her body pressed close to Malphas.
Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~ (She pushed out her left leg and dragged it across the floor in a wide arch, slamming it down at the end.), you don't have to put on the redlight (Frances twirled herself close to Malphas' body.) walk the streets for money (She stopped and led him across the room.) you don't care if it's wrong or if it's right (She stopped and raised both their arms and spun.)!
Rox~~~anne~~~ (She dipped her body back. Malphas held her back with one hand, his other hand instinctively going around the leg she lifted.)! You don't have to wear that dress tonight (Malphas pulled her up straight. Their heated gazes met. She released herself from his hold and ran her hands over her body, arching her body towards the demon whose eyes roamed over her ever so closely.)! Rox~~~anne~~~ (She stomped her foot harshly against the ground as she pressed her body close to Malphas who gasped in response, taking her right hand within his.), you don't have to sell your body to the nigh~~~~t (Frances spun herself out and away from Malphas removing herself completely from him.)!
Male voice that sound like Malphas because she wanted it to: His eyes upon your face (She quickly approached him and stared deeply into his eyes with fuchsia eyes.). His hand upon your hand (Frances reached out and touched his hand, maneuvering it so she was holding it by his fingers, her thumb tracing his contract mark.). His lips caress your skin (She leaned her lips so close to his lips until they were millimeters apart, quickly moving it across his cheek. Her warm breath upon his skin. He growled lowly. He leaned to put his lips against her neck, however…), it's more~~ than~~ I~~ can~~ stan~~~~~~d (She moved her body and hands down his long, strong torso causing him to throw his head back, eyes closed and a gasp escaped him.)! Why~~~(Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~)~~~ does~~ my~~ hear~~~~t cry~~~~~ (She stood up quickly, placing a hand on his heart, on her mark. Malphas moaned, leaning into her touch.)? Feel~~(Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~)ings~~~ I~~ can't~~ figh~~~~~t (She ran her hand lovingly over her mark. He shuddered. His warble/purr growing louder.)! You're free to leave me (She took his hand and spun herself away from him.) jus~~t don't~~ deceive me and please~~~~ (She felt him tug on her hand causing her to look into his heated, lustful eyes.), believe me when I say~~~~ (He spun her close to him, her back to his front. His body swayed with hers as his clawed hand fell upon her hip. She whimpered.) I~~~~ love~~~~~ you~~~~~ (He whispered lustfully into her ear.)
Unbeknownst to either of them, the song was actually playing all around them now, in the air and not only in their minds.
The strings softened as they continued to play. Malphas slowly led Frances across the room, twirling her every now and again. As the instrumental finished, Malphas held her waist as she slid her right leg down, her body following suit. Their lustfilled eyes meeting yet again.
Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~ (Malphas' Voice: Why~~~~~~ does~~ my~~ hear~~~~t cry~~~~~? (Malphas pulled her up. She slammed her heeled foot sharply against the ground.)) You don't have to put on that redlight. Rox~~~anne~~~ (Malphas' Voice: Feel~~ings~~~ I~~ can't~~ figh~~~~~t (He lifted her by the waist into the air above him. Frances dipped her head back, her hands reached out and stroking down his horns. Malphas warbled/growled lowly. Frances closed her eyes at the sinful sound.)!) Rox~~~anne~~~!
Malphas' Voice: You're free to leave me (He tossed her into the air. Her hair swirled out around her. Her mouth opened, fangs glinting in the candlelight's glow. Her light blue day dress billowed around her.), jus~~t don't~~ deceive me and please~~~~ (She fell back down. Malphas caught her in his arms.) believe me when I say~~~~ (He set her down on the ground and tilted her chin up.) I~~~~ love~~~~~ you~~~~~ (He kissed her senseless. Her arms immediately wrapped around his neck. The flames inside danced with them. Their song as well as this one echoed through them. They pulled away with her gasping for breath. Her hand lowered to cup his left cheek.)
Frances: Your~~~~ eyes see but my sha~~~~~~~dow~~~~~~~. My~~~~~~ heart is over~~~~~~~flow~~ing~~~~~~~~~, there's so much you could come~~~~~~~~~~~~ to know~~~~~. You're~~~~~~ content not~~~~ knowing~~~~~. Tenderly~~~~~~, you~~~~~~ will see~~~ my~~~~~ soul~~~~~~~~~~~~!
Malphas smirked at her.
"Mea! (Latin: Mine!)" He growled in the darkest, deepest, possessive voice only a demon such as he could speak in.
She shivered and made a come-hither whimper.
The violin strings were plucked harshly. Malphas moved forward as she moved the side of her feet back in time with the strings. The violin changed to being stroked across the strings in high-pitched notes. Malphas grabbed her right arm and spun her quickly.
Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~(Malphas' Voice: Why~~~~~~ does~~ my~~ hear~~~~t cry~~~~~ (Malphas held her right hand and waist to stop her fast spin. She slid her body down with her right leg out behind her.)?)anne~~~!
Malphas' Voice: Feel~~ings~~~ I~~ can't~~ (Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~) figh~~~~~t (She slowly slid up his body, slamming her heel into the ground sharply.)! Why~~~~~~ does~~ my~~ hear~~~~t cry~~~~~ (He led her across the floor.) (Sebastian's Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~!)? Feel~~ings~~~ I~~ can't~~ (Sebastian's Voice: You don't have to wear that dress tonight.) figh~~~~~t (He tilted her body to the left causing her right leg to extend to the right of her body.)
As the chaotic yells started, Malphas leaned his head down and licked the expanse of her neck with his long demon tongue. Frances' eyes closed as a moan slipped out from her lips. When he got to where her neck and shoulder met, he bit down harshly causing her to cry out, her claws digging into his shoulders. Her leg straightened to be parallel with Malphas'. He removed his teeth and licked her blood. A sinful moan fell from the demon's lips. The chaotic yells grew louder and louder. Malphas took her hand and spun her quickly.
Malphas' Voice: Rox~~~anne~~~!*
Malphas threw her to the floor, reaching for her. Frances' knees were bent with her arms reaching for him.
The two of them breathed heavily and fast. They stared at one another for a long while.
Malphas slowly leaned closer to Frances. His fuchsia and orange eyes filled with warmth, love, seduction, longing, and… desire.
"You… are more sultry, seductive, elegant, and poised than any demoness that I have ever encountered."
Frances' fuchsia eyes closed as tears filled them. Before she could utter his name, he lifted her into his arms and kissed her senseless.
*Malphas.* She sighed into his mind as she wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his torso.
She felt his arm move from her back. She yearned for it to return to her back, stroking her as the flames and tendrils did. Malphas chuckled darkly into the kiss.
*Precious mate.* He sent her.
He placed her on the smoothest, silkiest sheets she had ever felt. His arm returned around her, tracing her remaining scars in time with the dancing flames.
Their lips connected over and over even as he filled her. She gasped however, he didn't allow her to break the kiss as he quickly moved in and out of her until she desperately needed air. He released her lips with a growl as she gasped loudly.
"Nngh! Mal-ph-as!" She cried out, nails digging into his back, heeled feet nearly curling along his back, her legs tight around his waist.
He hissed darkly as he used his demon speed.
"Nngh!"
He bit her neck again causing her to go over the edge.
As the night wore on, the both of them continued ravishing one another over and over until he finally allowed her to rest at four in the morning with loving sung whispers of "I love you" to each other.
Malphas awoke laying upon his mate's chest. This little seductress. His little seductress. He had never heard that song before. She was correct when she said it was different, sultry, sharp, and intimate. A shiver raced up his spine. He leaned up so he was no longer upon her chest and could look at her beautiful face. He gently began to stroke her cheek. She leaned into his touch, a light sigh escaped her lips. He smirked in amusement.
*Precious.*
She snuggled closer to his hand. Her arms wrapped around his neck, stretching her body out with a quiet groan. She relaxed into the bed, her eyes fluttering open. The beautiful smile that stretched her lips, pulled one of his own to his. Their eyes met and drew each other closer until their lips met. The darkness inside him rumbled with pleasure causing his warble/purr to grow louder. Her body arched closer to him as it always did. His grip tightened on her back. They pulled away after a few moments with content sighs. His eyes opened first to watch her beautiful brown eyes appear.
"Good morning, Malphas." She greeted.
"Good morning, my Frances." He greeted in return.
Her brown eyes sparkled. She nuzzled his nose lovingly. She pulled away as he hummed softly.
"Breakfast." He stated.
He rolled them over and placed her on the edge of the bed. He stood, placing a quick kiss upon her cheek.
"I'll return soon, my darling." He said.
He left the room in a quick blur to retrieve the breakfast Baldroy made for his mate. He grabbed the tray when the chef wasn't looking. He moved out of the room and was down the hall when he heard,
"Oh wah?! Where'd the tray go?!"
He smirked, placing it on the trolley at the top of the stairs. He quickly picked it up and returned inside the door of her music room. He began to roll it over, feeling her eyes on him. He stopped in front of her. He took off the silver lid announcing,
"This morning's breakfast consists of chicken and waffles with a hearty chicken soup, freshly cuts of melon and pineapples as well as freshly baked bread. For drink accompaniment, it is freshly squeezed orange juice."
She smiled happily at him.
"Thank you, Malphas."
He returned her smile.
"You're welcome, Frances. Please, excuse me. I must attend the Young Master."
She nodded with slight disappointment. He knew it was because he had to return to his human form. She truly was a one-of-a-kind creature as the humans say. As he made his way to the door, he transformed back to his human form, pulling back his darkness towards him while allowing some of it to caress her. He heard her breath quiver as her body shivered. Once it was all returned to him, he gave her one last look, meeting her beautiful heated gaze before walking out the room, closing the door behind him.
He returned to the kitchen to retrieve the morning tea for the Young Master. He began thinking of that song and how both male voices were him. One was his demon voice while the other was his human voice. He knew she would never leave him. Even when she… His hands tightened around the tea tray as he carried it up the stairs, she had given him her soul too. No one… No one had ever given him something like that so willingly, so unafraid, so calmly. He knew she would never act to another's affection and would fight with all her worth to make it clear that she would not be touched. He marked her as his and she had marked him as hers. He knew she was correct in the fact that their souls were intertwined the moment they met one another. And yet… he still felt something was missing, but what? He opened his lord's door, making his way into his room to the right side of the bed. He moved the curtains open, revealing the weak sunshine that made its way through the clouds of falling snow. He glanced back over his shoulder.
"Young Master, it is time to wake up." He called to the boy.
The Young Master's eyes tightened close. He slowly opened them with a tired yawn. He sat up and stretched as Sebastian moved to pour the tea elegantly into the teacup. Once he finished stretching, he accepted the teacup from Sebastian. He took a sip. He pulled it away, commenting,
"Earl Grey."
"Spot on as usual, my lord. (He wrapped a blanket around his shoulders.) It is from Justin and Brook's."
He left the boy to his tea. He went and gathered his clothes from his armoire. His eyes glanced down to the bottom right of the armoire. His whole body stiffened as his eyes widened.
*Could… Could it be… that? No. But…*
He had felt his heart stop for a moment before racing violently as the warmth and that… blissful happiness erupted and spread through him with its fiery warmth.
*Malphas? Are you all right?*
He blinked, hearing her worried voice. He smiled gently.
*I'm fine, my darling. Please, continue enjoying your bread.*
He could see her blushing form. A smile spread upon his face as he suppressed a chuckle. He knew she was slightly embarrassed about him know what foods she enjoyed the most. She hid it well when she first came to the manor, but after he killed her parents off, she slowly showed more of her true self. The true self that desired him to consider… this. He took the clothes he held in his hand, tearing his eyes away from that corner. He walked back into the Young Master's bedroom. He realized it wasn't the first time that he considered… this. As she said, she was already his, however…
Ciel had finished his tea by the time Sebastian returned into the room with his clothes. He did a double take at the butler's face. There was a strange expression upon it. A combination of contemplation and happiness. It was weird to see such an expression.
"Are you all right, Sebastian?"
Sebastian blinked as he jerked his head as if he slapped him. He gave him a calm smile.
"I am fine, my lord."
Ciel hummed, not quite believing him. He would let the matter drop. He had a feeling it involved Frances.
Sebastian began the process of dressing the boy and going over his schedule. When he was halfway through dressing him, her soft hum of their song intensified the feeling of warmth and love.
"Just to inform you, my lord, Frances will not be joining you for breakfast this morning."
"Very well." Ciel replied, he was used to this happening from time to time.
Once he finished dressing the boy, he escorted him to breakfast. When he finished serving the boy his plate of breakfast, he excused himself. Once he stepped out into the hall, he raced to his mate's music room. He sped through the door and was over her in an instant as she ran her hand up her full belly. He watched that beautiful smile appeared upon her lips. He raised his clawed hand to caress those beautiful lips. A sigh escaped her lips as she sang. His smile widened as the darkness inside him swirled in happiness.
*Yes, if it's her. Only for her.*
He wanted to be tied to her. In every single way possible. Including, this way.
Once the song ended, his lips pressed against hers. She kissed him back. Their flames danced together.
*Precious mate.* He warbled.
*My Malphas.* She sighed.
They pulled away after a few minutes with her gasping for breath. He relished her gasp.
*Only for her.* He repeated, lovingly to himself.
"Come, my darling. It is time to get dressed for the day."
She nodded.
"Yes, Malphas."
He smiled at her. She summoned the clothes she wanted to wear and began to change. She placed her hair in a low ponytail. Once she was dressed, he escorted her to her Office so she could do her work.
The days continued to pass by and soon enough, it was Ciel's birthday.
Frances kissed Sebastian, pulling him out of bed. She spun herself under his arm as she hummed Ciel's song. They made their way to her closet. He dressed the both of them quickly. She was wearing a dark blue dress with dark blue heels. Her hair was in a swirly updo with a white rose in the right corner of her hairdo. They walked hand in hand to the kitchen. The two of them made Ciel's favorite breakfast together, sharing touches and kisses as they did. When they finished, the two of them made their way to the dining room. Sebastian pulled out her chair for her. She leaned up and kissed him deeply upon the lips. He returned the kiss. Their flames dancing with one another. She pulled away looking at him lovingly as her hand caressed his cheek.
"Thank you for helping us." She said, gratefully.
His hand took her hand from his cheek. He lifted it to his lips, pressing a lingering kiss upon it. She closed her eyes with a sigh. She slowly looked up at him as he looked at her. His thumb trailed over her fingers as he lowered his hand.
"You know I only did it for you, my mate." He corrected.
She smiled, squeezing his hand.
"I know. And I am grateful."
He let a smirk spread upon his lips.
"You are welcome, my precious mate."
Her smiled widened. They released each other's hand as he made his way to the door. He sent one last glance at her. He turned and left the room.
Sebastian returned a short while later, opening the door for the boy. Frances smiled as she noticed he was wearing his light blue suit with black pants, black boots, white shirt under his light blue jacket with a light blue bow around his neck, his golden handle walking stick in hand matching the ring upon his thumb. He paused after his head lifted to meet her gaze. He looked her over. She was dressed a tad more elegantly than usual. He fought the blush that threatened to spread on his cheeks, now knowing something was going to happen today. He continued to his seat. Frances smiled. She could feel the suppressed excitement, happiness, and surprise amongst the lingering anger, sadness, and heartache.
"Good morning, Ciel. Happy birthday."
"Thank you. And good morning." He greeted back, sitting down in his seat.
Sebastian had disappeared to the kitchen, returning shortly with their food and tea. He placed a silver lidded plate in front of each of them. He uncovered the plates announcing,
"This morning's breakfast is the Young Master's favorite of salmon with steamed vegetables and a savory vegetable soup. For drink accompaniment, it is Jackson's Earl Grey."
"Thank you." Frances said as Sebastian placed the teacup down in front of her.
"You're welcome."
He stepped back, moving off to the side, allowing them to eat in peace. The room filled with scraps of utensils against plates or bowls. A few minutes passed by when Ciel asked,
"Is there going to be a ball later today?"
Frances smiled innocently.
"If there is, I don't know anything about it."
"Mm hm. Sure." Ciel said, disbelievingly.
Frances smiled brightly at him. Sebastian smirked at the Young Master.
Nothing else was said as breakfast continued. Once they finished, Ciel and Frances stood from their chairs. They walked to the front entrance with Sebastian behind them. They came to a stop about halfway to the door.
"Be careful." Frances told both of them.
Sebastian placed Ciel's cloak over his shoulders and handed the boy his top hat with matching blue ribbon and bow. Ciel accepted the hat, placing it on his head. He turned towards Frances. He bowed his head, holding the rim of his hat.
"I will. Thank you. (He turned to Sebastian.) Let's go, Sebastian."
"Yes, my lord." Sebastian agreed.
They began to walk out of the manor. Frances and Sebastian made eye contact for a moment, but their looks conveyed their love. She watched as he closed the door behind them. She listened as Sebastian snapped the reigns and heard the steps of horses and movement of the carriage wheels roll away.
A few seconds later, the servants came and stood in a line with Finny by the door, awaiting their guest. They didn't have to wait too long when the sound of another carriage pulled up. Frances heard her excited fast steps as she ran up the steps of the front entrance. Frances nodded to Finny. He opened the door. Her blonde head popped in. Her green eyes found Frances' brown ones.
"Is he gone?" She asked her.
Frances smiled widely and nodded.
"Yes, he is."
She pushed the door open wider as her grin widened along with her excitement. Lizzie stepped through the doorway.
"Welcome, my lady, Paula." Frances greeted with a curtsy.
"Welcome, my lady." The servants echoed with bows.
Lizzie raced over to her and hugged her tightly with a giggle. Frances returned the hug. Lizzie pulled away, grabbing her hands into her smaller ones. An excited and mysterious look within her green eyes.
"Let's get started decorating!"
"Let's!"
A few hours later, Frances, Lizzie, and the servants including Paula had decorated the front entrance, made delicious food, and sweets (All Ciel's favorites of course.), and placed the pile of presents in a visible location beside the table.
It was around two in the afternoon when Frances sensed they were on their way. Lizzie, who was wearing a lovely pink dress with a white rose on her right hip with a white ribbon going around her waist, upon her white stocking feet were low pink flats, and in each pigtail was a white rose, stood in front of the staircase, staring at the door. Frances walked over to her. Lizzie gasped when she saw the carriage pass by the window, stopping directly in front of the door.
"Get ready." She whispered.
Outside, Ciel was preparing to enter the manor after enjoying a decent game of chess with a gentleman whom Frances had found. He had to admit it was pretty stimulating. Now, he just hoped his manor wasn't too sparkly with decorations. He could see Sebastian's smirking from the corner of his eye. Sebastian stepped forward, opening the door. His eye widened at the scene before him. On a white banner spelled out in blue read: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CIEL! in the center of the steps of the first landing. Blue bears, rabbits, and paper ribbons were strung around the room. To his left, he noticed a table that had delicious treats. The table having a blue cloth and blue china. Next to the table, a little to the right by the staircase was a pile of presents.
"Happy birthday, Ciel!"
"Happy birthday, Young Master!"
"Happy birthday, Young Master, yes!"
"Ho, ho, ho!" Little Man Tanaka shouted, popping up from the piles of presents to pop a stream of different blues of confetti and ribbon.
He entered the foyer, closing his mouth as he got over the shock. It was sparkly, but not so overwhelming which he supposed was nice. Sebastian closed the door behind them.
"Thank you, everyone." He said, making his way to Lizzie.
Everyone's smile widened. Ciel approached Lizzie and placed one hand behind his back while the other was held in front of himself to offer to Lizzie. She accepted it with a loving smile.
"I take it, this was your doing?" He asked, lifting her hand to his lips, giving it a light kiss.
Lizzie blushed prettily.
"Yes, but Frances and everyone helped as well." She said, smiling wider.
"Thank you, Lizzie." Ciel said, lowering their arms.
"Young Master (The three of them looked up at Finny's call.) Come see! Lady Elizabeth, Frances, and Sebastian made all your favorites!" Finny exclaimed.
"Very well. (Ciel offered his arm to Lizzie.) May I escort you to your seat?"
"You may."
Frances met eyes with Sebastian. Their eyes showcasing their love causing their hands to tingle as they yearend to caress one another.
*Mine.* He warbled.
*Yes, I am yours as you are mine.* She sent him.
He warbled louder. She turned to follow the couple. Ciel assisted Lizzie in sitting down before taking his own seat. Ciel gave a small smile as he looked at all the delicacies including gateau au chocolate. Lizzie reached for the hat that was on his plate.
"Here, Ciel! Wear this too! (She slipped the blue party hat onto Ciel's head. She pulled away once it was on his head. She clapped her hands.) It's so cute! And it matches your outfit!"
"Thank you, Lizzie." He said, sincerely.
Lizzie giggled happily.
Frances smiled as she watched him enjoy the snack and food as well as showing Lizzie a little more emotion than annoyance for once. He caught her eye. She inclined her head, mentally telling him, "Good job.". A small blush bloomed across his face as he tore his eyes away. Frances' smile widened in amusement at his embarrassment. She caught Sebastian's eye who also wore a smirk of amusement.
The afternoon wore on with games, presents, and cake until the night sky made its appearance and it was time for Lizzie to go home. Lizzie hugged Frances tightly.
"Have a safe trip! I can't wait to see your costume at the ball!"
"Thank you. I can't wait to see yours either. Merry Christmas, Lizzie."
They pulled away. Lizzie looked up brightly at her.
"Merry Christmas, Frances."
Sebastian assisted Lizzie into the carriage where Paula was waiting.
"Have a safe trip, Lady Elizabeth." Sebastian said, bowing slightly.
"Thank you, Sebastian."
Frances and the servants watched as the carriage took off. Ciel was in his Office. Once the carriage was out of sight, they went back inside the manor. Frances was going to help with the clean-up process however, Sebastian told her they could handle it. She thanked him, excusing herself right afterward. She went to her room, humming hers and Malphas' song. She decorated the room with candles. She stripped herself naked and allowed her hair to fall mostly along her back except for a small piece that she placed in front. She tilted her body to the left, holding her head in her hand, her right knee was bent with her foot over her left ankle. Ten minutes passed when she felt him at the door. It opened. Malphas' eyes wandered over her from head to toe. He crossed through the doorway, closing the door behind him, never taking his eyes off her. Her body shivered under his lustful gaze. She shivered yet again, more violently, arching her back as he began to transform and exude his darkness throughout the room.
"Malphas." She whimpered.
He opened his mouth in a wide grin, his sharp teeth glinting. She stood, slowly transforming, and made her way to her demon. When she reached him, their hands reached for one another. Frances' hands reached for his face, sliding down to wrap around his neck. Malphas' hands touched her hips, his left hand going down her leg. Their lips connected causing the flames within them to dance wildly, their song echoed louder as did their purrs and warble. She pulled away, gasping for breath. Malphas relished her beautiful gasp. Her hands moved back to his cheeks, cupping them.
"Thank you for taking Ciel to Jenkin's residence."
He smirked at her. He leaned his nose to her nose and rubbed against it.
"You are welcome, my Frances."
"I want to show you, how thankful I am." She whispered, huskily.
"Oh?" The demon asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Mm hm." She said, taking his hand and leading him to the bed.
She spun and shoved him onto the bed. The demon smirked in amusement and excitement. She crawled upon him and ravished him. Though, as the night wore on, it became both ravishing one another.
