While Michael investigates the death of Sarah Emily, he discovers that there is more to his father, William Afton's life than meets the eye. He uncovers disturbing clues about William's past, including a history of violent behavior and suspicions surrounding the death of Wendy Afton, Michael's mother. Upon learning this, he feels a mix of emotions – sadness upon knowing his mother died, anger at realizing his father William is truly a monster, and regret for always thinking that his mother had abandoned him when he was only 8 years old.
Meanwhile, Charlie, despite grieving for her mother's loss, starts experiencing strange dreams. She has disturbing visions in her dreams, where she feels a connection with her father, Henry, and with Michael. These visions lead her to believe that there is something supernatural and sinister behind her mother's murder and William's involvement.
At the same time, William Afton becomes increasingly paranoid. He feels that he is being watched and pursued by someone, but he cannot identify who or why. His paranoia leads him to take extreme measures to ensure his safety, making him even more dangerous and unpredictable.
Months pass, and Michael feels trapped as he cannot find solid evidence linking his father to Sarah Emily's death. One day, despite not wanting to answer the door, Michael does so, thinking it might be important.
To his surprise, it's Charlie, looking sad, and Michael realizes that she's here not just for a visit – she has something important to tell him.
"Michael, I think your father has something to do with my mother's death," says Charlie.
"I also suspect that. He's been acting strange these months. What should we do?" Michael replies.
"I found out that he killed my mother."
"I'm so sorry to hear that. I didn't know William was capable of such a thing. Charlie, I need your help to investigate."
"Of course."
"We need to go to my father's office at Fredbear's."
Charlie and Michael, determined to uncover the truth about William Afton's dark secrets, decide to venture into Fredbear's Family Diner at night, knowing it's closed. The place is isolated and eerie at night, but they are willing to face their fears in search of answers.
As they approach the dark entrance of Fredbear's, the moonlight is the only thing illuminating their path. With their hearts pounding, they find a way to sneak inside the restaurant.
While searching through William Afton's office, they find files and documents mentioning a project called "Funtime." Intrigued, they start reading the details, discovering that these "Funtime" animatronics were designed with advanced technology, capable of luring and entertaining children in innovative ways.
Furthermore, they come across references to Circus Baby Pizza World, a new restaurant William Afton was building. There are detailed plans and schematics of the Funtime animatronics that would be installed there.
Charlie and Michael continue scouring William Afton's office at Fredbear's Family Diner in search of information about the sinister projects they've discovered. However, they don't realize that William has unexpectedly returned to the location.
While engrossed in their findings, William's voice echoes through the office, leaving Charlie and Michael in shock. "What are you doing here?" he asks, with a serious and irritated expression.
Frightened, Charlie and Michael try to explain their intentions, but William is furious. "This is trespassing! How dare you come in here without permission?" he scolds, looking at both of them disapprovingly.
William concludes his reprimand, saying, "Now, both of you go home and don't come back here without permission. Understood?"
They agree and leave the office, feeling guilty and somewhat scared of William's reaction. On their way home, they reflect on their actions and decide that next time, they must be more cautious and communicate their concerns appropriately.
Although William's scolding was severe, the experience serves as an important reminder that not everything is as it seems and that trust and communication are crucial in a family.
Michael and Charlie decide to remain vigilant until the day of Circus Baby Pizza World's opening.
