Previously on Ash's Journey Through Dimensions, Yu-Gi-Oh Arc: Lillie (With Ash and their starters by their side), Yami, and Joey continued their duel with the Big 5. Johnson used his Deck Master ability to clear the Heroes field and tried to attack Lillie with 2700 points of damage, but Lillie blocked two-thirds of it, only losing 900. Joey destroyed Catapult Turtle, but Johnson Summoned Machine King. He also activated Alter of Mist. Nesbitt took over, but Lillie used his aggressive style against him and destroyed Machine King with the Judgement of Anubis trap. This opened the door for Yami to strike directly. Lector took over and tried to use his Injection Fairy, Lily, and his lockdown strategy. Joey, with a hint from Lillie, was able to use his Jinzo and the Block Attack magic card to destroy Injection Fairy Lily, allowing Yami to strike directly for a second time, leaving The Big Five with just 650 Life points left. Unfortunately, three turns had passed, meaning Lector could use Alter of Mist's effect. The real battle is about to begin...
Chapter 14: The Merger of the Big 5 pt 3: End of the duel & The Big 5
"Lillie, be careful. Don't let your guard down," Gladion called to his sister. Lillie turned back to her brother and nodded.
"Eyes on me, Miss Aether," Lector ordered. "I want to see the horror on your face when I win the right to you and your friend's bodies." The heroes glared at the corrupt businessman in front of them. "You couldn't begin to imagine what monster lurks in my deck," Lector boasted.
"Tell us, Lector," Ash demanded.
"Oh, you four are about to find out, as my Altar of Mist allowed me to add any Ritual Magic Card to my hand. My choice was Dragon Revival Ritual." This card allows me to summon my all-powerful Five-Headed Dragon!"
"That's not true," Yami protested.
"Very wise, Mr. Muto. I must sacrifice five monsters, each with a different attribute," Lector stated.
Lillie's eyes widened. "OH, NO." Everyone turned to her, curious at the worry in her voice. "The Big 5's Deck Masters. Deep Sea Warrior is water.
"Nightmare Penguin is wind," Ash said, catching onto his girlfriend's train of thought.
"Judge Man is earth," Duke said, also catching on.
"Robotic Knight is fire," Joey commented, his eyes widened in shock, realizing the severity of their situation.
"And Jinzo is a creature of darkness," Yugi finished in horror.
"They meet the requirements," Serenity gasped, horror in her voice.
"They planned this out from the beginning just in case," Gladion spat angrily.
"That doesn't seem fair at all," Tea complained.
"Look, these guys will do anything to win," Duke pointed out.
"Who said they would play fair," Gladion said angrily.
Lector calls all of the Big 5's Deck Masters onto the field. The five Deck Masters were sacrificed, and the Five-Headed Dragon appeared.
Lillie gulped nervously. Ash placed his hand on her shoulder. "Lillie, you know the old saying: The bigger they are..."
"The harder they fall," Lillie finished. She took a deep breath. "Okay, let's do this."
"Joey and I have fought this beast before," Yami told the two trainers.
"Yeah, it was the last time we fought these old creeps. That thing destroyed my Red-Eyes Black Dragon, and I nearly died. I hope my luck is better this time around," Joey commented.
"The good news is that their dragon can't attack the turn it is summoned," said Yami.
Ash, Lillie, and Joey let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness," said Lillie.
"We have one turn to stop it," said Joey.
"Hold on. It can't attack the turn it's summoned? What's the catch, Lector," Ash asked the evil businessman.
"Very perceptive, Mr. Ketchum. My Dragon destroys my opponent's magic, trap, and monster cards when summoned." Joey's Jinzo, Ash, Lillie's Spirit of the Harp and Witch of the Black Forest, and Yami's Dark Magician Girl were destroyed. "Finally, the Five-Headed Dragon can't be harmed by monsters of Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, or Darkness."
Well, crud, there goes that plan, Lillie thought bitterly. The monster we hoped to end this duel with is a creature of darkness. "We use our Witch of the Black Forest's ability to bring a monster with 1500 or fewer defense points to our hand." Lillie selected The Unhappy Madien (0/100). "We set a monster in defense mode, lay three cards face-down, and end our turn."
Ash turned to Yami and Joey. "Lillie and I have a plan in case the Big 5 have a backup plan should that Dragon fall. Take it down, Yugi."
Yami raised an eyebrow. Okay, I am curious about Lillie's plan. Yugi appeared next to Yami. So am I, but first, let's take down that Dragon. Yami nodded to his host. "Joey, I have a plan to take down Five-Headed Dragon. I need your Flame Swordsman to pull it off."
Joey nodded in understanding and drew his card. Perfect, this card will help set up a defense for their potential backup plan. "I move my Deck Master to the field." Joey's Deck Master jumped in front of his owner. "I place three cards face-down and end my turn."
Yami drew his card. "I move Dark Magician to the field."
Tea was nervous. Yugi, please don't lose this duel. I don't want to lose you. Her eyes widened. Oh god, AM I HOPING TO BE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS LILLIE? WITH YUGI AS MY FUTURE HUSBAND. THIS IS CRAZY. WHEN THIS MESS IS OVER, I HAVE TO TALK WITH YUGI.
"Now I Play Polymerization, fusing Dark Magician with Joey's Flame Swordsman to create... Dark Flare Knight. (DFK: 2200/800) "Take a good look, Big 5. This monster will bring about your destruction and return Tristan's body to us," Yami declared.
Lector laughed, "You're challenging our dragon with that."
"Yes, Dark Flare Knight combines mine and Joey's Deck Masters. Just as your Dragon is a combination of yours. Joey and I have faith in our Deck Masters."
Lector was standing on top of his Dragon, looking down at the heroes. "You fool! That new monster of yours is a creature of darkness. A creature of light can only beat our Five-Headed Dragon."
"Yugi and Joey's fused Deck Master monster is so much weaker than their dragon," Tea said, worried for her friend's safety.
"Relax, Tea. The Five-Headed Dragon is done," said Gladion. Tristan, Duke, Serenity, and Tea turned to him. Dark Flare Knight has an excellent offensive ability which will take out their best card."
"Dark Flare Knight, Prepare to attack now. Your target is their Five-Headed Dragon." DFK powered up its sword and fired an attack of dark magic and fire toward the Five-Headed Dragon.
Lector laughed, "take him down, my beast." The Dragon complied with the order, and DFK's attack was overpowered and destroyed. yet much to Lector's shock, Yugi and Joey's life points didn't drop to zero. "What's this? How can you two still be standing," he shouted in a fury.
Lillie chuckled, gaining Lector's attention. "Dark Flare Knight's effect prevents the owner from receiving battle damage when it's destroyed. In addition, Mirage Knight is summoned in its place." Mirage Knight (2800/2000). "Oh, it's also a light-type attribute monster, so your dragon is for."
Yami looked at Lillie with wide eyes. She has been studying. I shouldn't be distracted. I need to finish this duel. "Mirage Knight attack his dragon." Mirage Knight charged at Five-Headed Dragon, who fired its attack at Mirage Knight. "He may look weak," Yami began, "but first impressions can be deceiving. Its effect allows it to absorb the attack points of the monster it's attacking." (Mirage Knight 2800-7800)
Lector's eyes widened in horror. "Oh no, it's stronger than our dragon." Mirage Knight sliced Five-Headed Dragon down the middle, and one second later, FHD exploded into pixels.
"Your Deck Master is gone, and since our Knight had 7800 attack points, so are your life points. This duel is done." Yami declared.
"That's funny. I don't feel like a loser," Lector chuckled as he floated down.
Lillie gasped, "He laid a card face-down before he ended his last turn. It must have been a trap card in case we somehow found a way around the Five-Headed Dragon."
"Correct, Miss Aether. It was A Deal With Dark Ruler, which prevented me from receiving any damage when the Five-Headed Dragon was destroyed, at the cost of half my life points. Then, A Deal With Dark Ruler allows me to summon Berserk Dragon (3500/0) to the field as my Deck Master."

Joey smirked, "Mirage Knight has more power than Berserk Dragon."
"Joey Mirage Knight only stays on the field for one attack," Lillie told her teammate. As Lillie finished, Mirage Knight defused, revealing Dark Magician (2500/2100) and Flame Swordsman (800/1600)
"Oh no, now there's no way they can stop the Big 5's Dragon! It's way stronger than their Deck Masters," Duke exclaimed.
"Please don't let your Deck Masters be destroyed," Serenity called to her brother.
"Don't worry, Serenity. Yugi's turn isn't over yet," Joey called back to his sister.
"I activate Magical Hats, so you'll have to find my Deck Master first," Yami declared. 4 Hats appeared, and Dark Magician was hidden underneath one of them. And they shuffled around, making it harder to keep track of the Dark Magician. "I now activate my Deck Master's special ability. I'll pay 1000 life points, allowing my Dark Magician to duplicate the effect of any magic card on the field. Now Joey's Deck Master is safe as well."

"Well, the good news is Lector only has a 1 out of 8 chance to find Yugi or Joey's Deck Master," Tea said, smiling that her friends and her Not-so-secret crush were safe.
"Your math's a bit off, Miss Gardner," Lector chuckled as he drew a card. "My Dragon can attack four times in one turn." Everyone except Lillie and Ash gasped. "Meaning that I am guaranteed to hit one of their Deck Masters."
That's what he thinks, Ash and Lillie thought.
"Berserk Dragon, attack Yugi's field," Lector ordered. "It's impolite to wear hats in a place of business." Berserk Dragon started to power up its first attack.
"Hold it, Lector," Lillie and Ash declared in unison. "We activate our trap card, Attack Guidance Armor. This forces you to attack our face-down monster, The Unhappy Maiden." Ash and Lillie's monster was destroyed. "Now, our monster's special ability ends your battle phase."
Lector's scream of fury was inhumane. Gladion scowled. "Lillie, NEVER scare me like that again." Lillie stuck her tongue out at her brother.
Yami turned to the couple. "Excellent job, you two." Ash and Lillie smiled, with Ash kissing Lillie on the cheek.
Tea breathed a sigh of relief. Serenity smiled at her friend "No need to worry, Tea. Your future husband is safe." Tea blushed crimson. Dang it, Serenity, she thought. Duke and Tristan chuckled at Tea's blushing face.
Lector glared at Ash and Lillie. "You brats are gonna pay for that. I'm not done with you, and neither is my dragon" (Berserk Dragon 3500-3000)
"His dragon got weaker," Yami commented.
"Well then, time to end this," said Lillie drawing a card. Everyone turned to the couple, curious about their plan for how to win. "I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Mystical Elf. Now I activate Cost Down to lower the level of the monsters in our hand."
Ash and Lillie nodded. "WE SACRIFICE OUR ELF TO SUMMON RED EYES BLACK DRAGON," they shouted in unison.
"NO WAY," Joey shouted in shock.
"You gotta be kidding me. First, our ace Dark Magician wins Lillie's first duel, then Kaiba's ace wins Gladion his first duel, and now Joey's ace will win the final duel with the Big 5," said Yugi to the Pharaoh with shock in his voice. "What a strange twist. The three aces of our group's best duelists are used to win duels, but the users aren't us, Joey, or Kaiba," said Yami, equally shocked.
Lector laughed. "Your dragon isn't strong enough."
Lillie smirked, "I activate our two face-down cards, Dragon Nails and Reinforcements. Dragon Nails increases our Red Eye's attack by 600."
"Reinforcements boost our Dragon's attack by 500 points for the rest of the turn. More than enough to not only destroy your Deck Master but also reduce your life points to 0," Ash said confidently. (REBD 2400-3500)
"3500 Attack points," Lector shouted in horror.
Crump only came close because he took advantage of my inexperience. I'm not going to be a Trophy wife. I want to stand next to Ash on the field of battle." Lillie had a fire in her eyes. Ash was in awe of her. Lillie turned and kissed Ash, who quickly joined in on the kiss.
Inside Tristan's body
"I demand an explanation Johnson," Lector said to his co-worker.
"You said Ketchum and his girlfriend's lack of experience will hold Yugi back," said Crump.
"Instead, they're the reason they're ahead of us," said Gansley.
Nesbitt was glaring at the legal expert.
Johnson was sweating nervously. "W-Well, don't look at me."
After Ash and Lillie finished their kiss, Ash turned to the Big 5. "You five are done. Our Dragon trumps yours."
He turned to Lillie, who nodded. "Red Eyes Black Dragon destroy Berserk Dragon with Inferno Fire Blast," the couple declared. The Dragon complied and fired its attack destroying Berserk Dragon. Lector fell on his knees as his life points fell to 0.
With Ash embraced Lillie in a hug, everyone cheered, which she happily accepted. Yami stepped forward. "Not only is your Deck Master destroyed, but your life points are also gone. Now return Tristan's body as promised and run back to Noah. We've all had enough of you. It was a pleasure doing business with you, gentlemen."
Everyone on the cliff came down to the group. Tristan was moving forward to receive his body back from the Big 5. "Now it's time for you five to give Tristan his body back," Yami declared.
"I believe you've mistaken me for someone who believes in playing fair," said Lector.
"What?! It's going time!" shouted Joey, raising his fists.
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! "As you wish," Gansley declared. With that, all five Deck Masters, now controlled by their respective member of the Big 5, jumped out of Tristan's body and charged the teens.
"Lousy cheaters! You won't get away with this!" growled Gladion, taking a battle stance.
"Don't you five know when you've lost?" asked Duke, who sounded highly annoyed.
"Lillie, get behind me," Ash declared. Lillie did so. Pikachu, Snowy, Lucario, and Greninja all stood ready for battle.
"You won't get away with this!" said Yami, already drawing on the power of his Millennial Puzzle.
FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! FLASH! The five Duel Monsters were suddenly thrown back into Tristan's body with such force that he flew back several yards.
"Hey! What's going on?!" demanded Lector.
"Trying to break the rules again? Are we?" said Noah's angry voice from somewhere in the sky.
"Noah!" Lector gasped in horror.
"You five fools have failed me for the last time!" yelled Noah.
"NOOOOOOO!" screamed the Big five as Noah pulled them into a vortex, and they vanished altogether.
"Oh no! They took Tristan's body away with them!" gasped Téa.
"I don't believe it," moaned Tristan. "I'll be stuck in this monkey suit for the rest of my life! And I'm feeling more like a monkey and less like me every second." He looked down sadly.
Serenity bent down and picked him up, holding him close like a stuffed animal. "I'm here for you, Tristan."
"On second thought, I can learn to live with this," Tristan said, enjoying being held in Serenity's arms.
In Noah's Control Room
"All of you are worthless," Noah said. He cast a side glance at Mokuba, "Right, Mokuba?"
"Please, Master Noah, give us another chance," Gansley pleaded.
"I've given you plenty of chances, and you all failed," Noah said. "Now it's time for you to be punished for your failures!" The five men disappeared screaming 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOO' as they vanished. He turned to Annie and Oakley. "I want the two of you to challenge Ash and Lillie to a tag-team Pokemon Battle. I don't want Ash interfering when I challenge Seto personally and prove once and for all that I deserve to be the head of the Kaiba Empire!" The Rocket agents nodded and left.
Done and done. Special thanks to my collab writer for the three-parter as we are near done with the story as we still have the duels for Annie and Oakley, Noah and Gozoboro duels left before we move on to another arc soon enough. With that said, I wish more reviews would come into this story because we are near the end, as mentioned before, and the reviews come out after the story ends.
