[Location: City of Orario, alleyways.]

Link was desperate, one of the most powerful sacred objects in Hyrule had been stolen from him, he did not know how to express the feelings he experienced when he went through his saddlebag and did not find that magical instrument.

Bell and Ryuu could see the panic on the Hylian's face, and without wasting a second the Argonaut asked his companion. "Link? Are you OK? It seems as if you have seen the end of the world."

Poor innocent Bell Cranel, he was not far from the truth. He had no idea of the impact that an instrument capable of controlling time could generate, Link could imagine the catastrophic consequences if he fell into the wrong hands.

'Wait a minute, if the Ocarina was stolen then it must have been sold to any shop inside the city, if I'm quick enough, I could get it back before it gets sold…or worse used…'

"Bell...tell Hestia I'll be late, I have something to do..." Link said, trying to keep Bell out of his business.

Before the white-haired boy could say anything to his green-dressed friend, he had already bolted out of the alleys, leaving him alone with Ryuu.

They both stared at each other before the elf began to speak. "You know, I think they should get a supporter so they can avoid these kinds of situations."

A few hours later.

[Location: City of Orario, Adventurer's Guild.]

It was already dark when Link had gone to the Adventurers Guild, in order to report a theft and give the description of the stolen item. The guild only informed him that most of the time thieves weren't caught and stolen items mostly disappeared, so Link decided to ask if there were any shops that sold rare items or trinkets.

The guild receptionist informed him that there were 8 stores with that type of business, but 3 of those stores were already closed and the other 5 closed at m, so he asked the receptionist if she could mark the location of those stores in Tingle's magic map.

[A/N: I forgot to put the 'magic map' that Tingle gave him, on Link's items in the prologue.]

The receptionist agreed to this, and once the Hylian obtained the locations of those shops, he left the guild office in search of the Ocarina of Time.

Two hours later.

[Location: City of Orario, main square.]

It was almost midnight, Link had visited 4 of the stores marked on his magical map, but unfortunately for the Hylian, none of them had the Ocarina of Time in their possession.

'My only hope is that it is in the store called "Gnome's general store", seriously, first I was dragged against my will to buy clothes, then I was robbed and lastly, none of the stores so far have given any trace of the sacred instrument. Seriously, could this day get any worse!?'

At that moment it began to rain sharply.

*Sigh* 'I jinxed myself again…didn't I?'

Link followed the indicated path, towards the Gnome general store, and had finally arrived, but at that moment he was able to see how they closed the store.

'Oh goddesses, please no...' The Hylian thought as he desperately ran towards the owner of the shop, who was an elderly Gnome.

"Please wait! I need to ask you about a certain item!" Link exclaimed, drawing the shop owner's attention.

"Is something wrong young man?" The elderly Gnome asked in a kind tone.

"Yes sir! You see I'm looking for a certain object, an instrument to be precise, have you recently received a periwinkle (yes that's a color) ocarina? I think it was stolen from me, could I please get it back or buy it back from you sir?" Link asked kindly.

The Gnome analyzed the Hylian's words for a few seconds, before sighing and saying in a low voice. *Sigh* "She did it again ella did n't she?…"

Link couldn't hear what the Gnome was whispering, but that thought vanished when he saw said Gnome entered the store and after a few seconds he came out with the Ocarina of Time in his hands.

"Here ya go kid, take it." The old man said as he handed the instrument to the Hero of Time, who was confused.

"Listen kid, the person who sold me this, is not a person with bad intentions, she simply sold it to me because she was desperate…I hope you understand…*Sigh* And I wanted to give the instrument to my wife…anyway , I guess I won't be able to reconcile with her by giving her a nice ocarina, she loves anything related to music..."

Link had retrieved the ocarina of time, but he couldn't help but feel bad for the old Gnome, so without thinking he took out a familiar instrument from his pocket and presented it to the Gnome.

"Maybe it's not as colorful as the other one... but I'm sure your wife will love it sir." Link said as he handed over the 'Fairy Ocarina'.

"R-Really kid?...thank you very much, may the gods of Orario bless you." The Gnome said as he took the ocarina in his hands and left the place, leaving Link alone.

Link remembered the words that Saria told him before leaving Hyrule in search of the deceased Navi.

'Link I know Princess Zelda gave you the Ocarina of Time, so I ask you to give the Fairy Ocarina to anyone that loves to play music, that way the Kokiri Forest will live forever on the melody of that instrument….Link goodbye…'

"Hohohohoo~ Looks like you made another person happy, old friend." Someone said a mocking voice, Link turned around and faced the person behind him.

At that moment Link smiled when he saw a familiar face (although his creepy smile still made him uneasy),it was the familiar face of a certain Mask Salesman.

"Happy Mask's Salesman, it's good to see you again too." Link said as the salesman laughed happily.

"Hohohohoo~ But of course my dear friend! Don't you remember what I said 5 years ago? 'When there is a meeting, the farewell always follows. But that farewell does not last forever.'" Said the Mask Salesman.

"Goodbyes can be forever or for a short time... that depends on you" Link said as he finished the sentence of his enigmatic friend.

"Hohohohoo~ You haven't changed at all Hero of Termina, tell me how your trip went? Did you manage to find that 'friend' you lost?" The Happy Mask Salesman asked, but at that moment the Hylian boy's happy smile turned into a look that reflected pain and sadness.

"..." Link was silent, as he remembered how he had found his dear friend fairy, who was gone forever.

The Happy Mask Salesman noticed the sadness on Link's face, so he placed his hand on his shoulder, and spoke the following words to him.

"I know you have been through a lot my friend, you managed to bring happiness and hope to those who needed it, but remember: 'You must also focus on finding your own happiness.'" After saying those words, the Happy Mask Salesman walked towards an alley, but before he lost sight of him he looked at his friend and finally said. "Even if you are a copy of what you should have been…"

Before Link could ask what he meant by that, the Happy Mask Salesman had disappeared without a trace.

'What did he mean by that? "A copy of what I should have been?…"'

Link was tired enough to think about the Mask Seller's words, so he went to the Hostess of fertility, to spend the night.

Two days later.

[Location: Orario, Hostess of fertility.]

Link opened his eyes, realizing that it was noon. He got out of bed, changed into his adventure clothes and left the room he had rented and went downstairs.

"Good morning Nyah! You've been asleep for 2 days Nyah! Wow, and they say I'm a sleepyhead Nyah!" Exclaimed a certain cat person dressed as a maid, who was saying good morning to the Hylian boy.

"Two days!? I was asleep for two days!?" Link exclaimed in surprise as he widened his eyes in shock. 'If a certain yellow fairy were here, right now, she would give me a horrible migraine…'

[FLASHBACK]

"LINK WAKE UP!! YOU BIG LAZYBONES!! WE HAVE TO SAVE TAEL AND SKULL KID!! WAKE UP OR ELSE I WILL SLAP YOU!!"

[END OF FLASHBACK.]

Link shrugged at the thought of her, and walked to Mama Mia who was at the counter and paid for his two day stay in the guest's rooms upstairs.

[A/N: That's her name right?]

Having paid 500 Valis, Link left the restaurant, but not before grabbing one of the apples on the counter.

A few hours later.

[Location: City of Orario, main square.]

It was sunset, Link was running all over Orario looking for Bell for hours, until he finally managed to glimpse his white-haired companion in the distance and ran towards him.

"T-Twenty-six thousand Valis!?" Bell exclaimed as he looked at two bags full of Valis, at that moment Link was present on the scene. "Oi Link! Where were you, you were two days-" Bell's questions were interrupted by his friend in green clothes.

*Pant* *Pant* "Just a sec-" Link said as he held a finger up, catching his breath. "A second…phew, I'm okay now…what were you saying?"

Bell looked at his tired friend and asked again "Where were you? You spent two days without returning to the church, the goddess and I were very worried."

"I was busy with a personal matter, but I'm back, which is the important thing. By the way, who is she?" Link asked pointing to the white hooded girl with a huge backpack on her back.

"Oh yeah, Link, this is Lili, she's the supporter I hired, she's basically in charge of storing and transporting equipment for the adventurers." Bell said introducing the small girl.

"Nice to meet you, you must be Master Link, it's a pleasure to meet you." Lilly said as she bowed to the hero of time.

"The pleasure is all mine." Link answered which he couldn't help feeling that he had already seen that girl before.

"Well Link if you'll excuse me, I have to agree to pay our supporter in private." Bell informed to which Link nodded, and moved away from those two, while he noticed the girl's supporter's eyes.

'Those eyes…I see pain and suffering in those eyes…I know because I have seen that kind of eyes before…when looking at my reflection on the water…'

[AUTHOR NOTES]

Before I end up the 2nd part of this chapter, I'd like to answer and clarify a few things related to the fic.

1-Link doesn't have in his possession the Goron or Zora Tunic, because he lost all his items he gained as an adult when he was returned to the past by Zelda (without his consent).

2-Link's abilities will be revealed in the future, but one of them is related to the Triforce of Courage.
