"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Yelled a certain argonaut while lowering his head, desperately trying to apologize, while the hero of time looked sadly at that scene.

Apparently Bell had found a grimoire (he didn't technically find it, Syr was the one who gave it to him), which belonged to a bar patron who had left it behind.

Grimoires lose their power when someone reads them, and unfortunately Bell Cranel didn't know about that and the moment he found out that grimoires were worth much more than the Hephaestus family's equipment, he nearly had a heart attack.

When Link found out about that, he couldn't help but laugh, which caused a certain goddess to get angry with him and give him a strong smack on the back of his head.

"What a big problem you've caused, Bell-san." Syr said trying not to sound suspicious.

"What are you talking about Syr? You were the one who gave him the book in the first place, so don't act like you weren't involved." Link replied, who was with his arms crossed, looking at the maid with a serious face.

"Is it not going to work?" She asked, looking at Link with puppy eyes.

"…No." Deadpanned the young Hylian.

Mama-Mia after looking at the useless grimoire for a few seconds, proceeded to throw it into a garbage can. Forget about it kid. You read it, so there's nothing we can do now. It's the fault of whoever left it."

"B-But..." Before Bell could say anything, his swordsman partner stopped him, placing a hand on his shoulder as he shook his head.

"Leave it Bell, I wouldn't provoke this terrifying woman if I were you."

"What did you say shortie?" Mama-Mia asked with a terrifyingly menacing look on her face.

"..."

"O-Off we go, to the dungeon!" Bell exclaimed in terror as he sprinted out of the bar, dragging his green-dressed friend with him.

[A/N: In this fic Link is slightly shorter than Bell.]

Seeing that scene, Syr couldn't help but giggle, while Mama-Mia let out a sigh as she muttered under her breath.

"Children these days…"

A few minutes later.

[Location: City of Orario, Babel tower's fountain.]

Bell and Link were heading towards the place where they would meet their supporter, at that moment Link could see how Lili was dragged against her will by a man with raccoon features.

Before Link and Bell could intervene, a familiar man stepped in their way.

"You're that guy from before..." Bell pointed out, recognizing the guy, he was the one who was going to assault Lili.

"You're both with that kid?" Asked the man pointing behind him, Link could see how that man with raccoon features seemed to threaten Lili.

"..." Link was silent and walked towards Lili, ignoring the complaints of the man who stopped them a few seconds ago.

"You 're just an useless pack mule for the-" Before the man could continue saying bullshit to the supporter, Link interrupted the conversation by standing in front of Lili while he took a defensive stance, holding the master sword hilt just in case.

"…Do you have a problem with my supporter?" The Hylian asked as he looked at that man with a serious and challenging face.

"Tch, whatever." The man grumbled before walking off, visibly upset.

At that moment Link sighed before turning around and facing the pallum girl.

"Are you okay?" The young hero asked worried, the supporter just looked behind Link, seeing how Bell was talking to that man.

"...Yes I'm fine..." The Pallum answered dryly, Link could see the mistrust in her eyes as they walked towards Bell, who had pushed the man, who left annoyed.

"Bell-sama" The Pallum said, calling the Argonaut's attention.

"Lili, Link, when did you both get here?" Bell asked as he received a serious look from his supporter.

"What were you talking with that adventurer about?" Lilly asked in a serious tone.

"No, it was nothing. Just some small talk…Anyway what about you? It looked like you were in trouble. Are you okay?"

Before the supporter could reply, the hero of time had beaten her to it. "It was nothing Bell, do not worry about it…" The boy in green replied, trying not to worry his friend.

"Oh okay then, let's go to the dungeon." Bell said walking in the direction of the tower.

As they walked towards the dungeon Link couldn't help but remember what happened last night while he was returning home.

[FLASHBACK.]

[Location: City of Orario, alleyways.]

In the middle of the night, 4 individuals could be seen roaming through Orario's alleyways, three of them were adult men and the fourth one was a little pallum girl.

"There, it's ours now." One of the men said mockingly, as he snatched the small bag full of valis from the girl.

"Better than usual, huh? But that's still not nearly enough, is it twerp?"

Lili watched with fear as that man put her boot on her face while she laughed.

"Who's responsible for the fact that a useless supporter like you, is part of the Soma Familia?"

"I-It's thank to y-you the adventurers." The pallum replied as she trembled.

"If you know that, then go work until you drop dead!" The raccoon man ordered before kicking Lili, who fell down some stairs while the men walked away while laughing at her, leaving her alone on the ground.

Meanwhile, under the moon's shadow, a certain young hero saw the whole scene, hiding himself thanks to the ability of a certain mask made of stone.

[END OF FLASHBACK.]

Link couldn't help but feel annoyed, as he remembered how he saw those men from the Soma familia mistreated one of their members, treating her as if she were just trash. The hero remembers seeing the greed in the eyes of those men, a greed that he reminded him of a certain Gerudo.

As Link and Bell were entering the dungeon, Lili began to whisper to herself while remembering everything that the Soma familia's adventurers did to her in the past.

"All of a sudden, I was there…I was there, all alone…One day my parents went into the dungeon to make money, but they died in there…I was left, to survive…Just to survive…I struggled…I was beaten, exploited…Even if I ran away. Even if I hid…They would find me….My home, was stolen from me….I hate adventurers…"

Before I finish the 1st part of chapter 5, I would like to answer and clarify certain things related to the fic.

1-Before I forget, here is the list of Link's skills

Skill 1: Hero's heart.

-This ability is activated when the user perceives that a person is in danger or feels the need to protect someone, depending on the situation, this ability grants additional stamina to the user and in turn grants great resistance to physical attacks that can be deadly/fatal.

Skill 2: Spirit shield.

-This ability grants the user resistance towards magical attacks and repels the effects of poisons or other magic that affects the user's state.

Skill 3: [UNKNOWN.]

2-Link gave the Fairy's Ocarina to the gnome because Saria asked Link to give the instrument to a person interested in music, since for her the true symbol of friendship between the two of them is that song Saria taught Link years ago.
