The door into the office of the Mizukage bursts open, Mei Terumi comes walking through with an anxious expression marring her beautiful and fair face. Without a backwards glance, Mei slams the door close with a hand as she walked over to one of the purple couches in her office.
Mei Terumi sits down as fast as she could, then she dug her fingers into her hair, and thus grabs a fistful of it in her hands.
" I'm crazy, I shouldn't have gotten that close to him... Why couldn't he handle that level of proximity, has he never been with a woman? " said Mei, wondering what could have gotten into the blond, or what could have possessed her enough to get that close.
" It's highly unlikely girls wouldn't have made a pass at him in Konoha, but then why did I have to go and see him at that hour? ",
The more Mei Terumi thought about it, the more it didn't seem to make sense to her.
" This isn't good, the kid had barely just escaped being a minor, and now he's doing this?... "
Without desiring to, Mei finds her mind wander back to their ten second lip to lip, and her heart beat quickens at the memory. Mei Terumi's right fingers went up and touched her lips, still feeling the lingering feeling of his lips on her's.
' Uzumaki Naruto, how dare you. Do you have any idea of what you have done. Does that kid have any idea of what he has incurred. ' she thought.
Mei Terumi doubted Naruto knew the gravity of what he'd done, and she hoped it was just a mere mistake on his part, and not some hubristic attempt at proving his masculinity.
The Mizukage conceives a thought, and with it she got up and went towards the wall of the room on the right, she touched a section of that wall and it opens up to reveal a small shelf like structure and upon the shelf are two separate shuki and a pair of Tokkuri.
Mei grabs hold of a Tokkuri and a shuki, then she walks back over to the couch. She places the shuki at the table before her, thus opens up the Tokkuri and pours the sake into the shuki till the wooden cup was filled to the brim.
Mei Terumi places the sake bottle down, picks up her shuki and halves the content down her throat till it burned. The Mizukage puts the shuki back down, and releases a breath she had been withholding.
' There's no way I'm keeping myself sane without some alcohol in my system ' she said.
" Tch, damn you Naruto Uzumaki ". . .
" Naruto look inside, there is something you must see " said Kurama.
Naruto since the departure of the fifth Mizukage, had turned his attention back to the scroll which laid open before him, with his arms resting on his thighs.
" Do you wish to reprimand me, for what I have done? ", " this takes precedence over what you have done, if you wish I shall address that subject, once you've observed all that your cultivation has wrought ".
Curious as to what the results of his cultivation could be, Naruto closes his eyes and dives into his inner sanctum; however what awaited the blond was unlike anything he'd ever seen.
Naruto found himself standing upon a glacier, and beyond him was a vast body of water with eight of his Nature type elemental releases taken form as cyclones upon the surface of the water, including light and shadow.
" Unbelievable, what is all this? " said Naruto in astonishment, " look up Naruto " said the fox.
Naruto's eyes went up, and at the sight of a Aurora painted sky, Naruto's eyes widen. Naruto's eyes were forced to widen more, when he notices Kurama floating in the sky with the Aurora's, half his body which had become more massive than when he had last seen the fox, had become golden white.
Naruto noticed four and half tails among Kurama's tails had become golden white as well, whilst the other half remained orange.
" Kurama what's going, why have you changed so much, and... " he trails off, " eye? Yes, my left eyes has become altered " confirmed the tailed beast.
The nine tailed Fox's left eye had gone from it's natural orange irises with a slit; to an unnaturally vibrant blue irises with a golden cross-slit. Naruto's eyes drifts higher above the abode of the fox, and thus began staring at huge nine pitch-dark spheres.
Naruto observed the way the nine spheres reacted in their elevated state, and he noticed they were reacting to the movements of Kurama's tails.
" I think you have control over the six paths senjutsu truth seeker balls, " Naruto said in perplexity.
" I can feel the six paths chakra coursing through me, "
" How does it feel? " asked the blond.
Kurama extends his white fur hand out, and an iridescent flame bloomed into a blaze upon his open palm.
" It feels divine, but... I can't seem to fully control or grasp it, I tried my best while you were unconscious and everything in here transformed. I could only do so much, which was when I realized I had to begin cultivating inside here, while you cultivate outside " explained the fox, retracting his arm and the fire.
Naruto folds his arms and exhales cold air.
" Is this why I was in so much pain earlier? ", " that has proven to be the case. You as well have changed, " said Kurama.
" I have? " Naruto asked puzzled.
" Your eyes have become brighter, and all your chakra has been converted into the six paths senjutsu chakra. "
" How strong do you think I have become, anything close to six paths gramps? " He asked.
" I never quite got to see the old man in action, but I have seen Lord first. Him and Madara do I know your chakra level has surpassed, at this point you can restore your own limbs and others " informed Kurama.
Naruto wondered if he should be comforted by the thought, of having surpassed the first Hokage and Madara, Naruto found himself somewhat lost at the revelation of his elevation.
" Kurama, don't you think all this power is not needed. Shouldn't we trust that the world is at peace, and Shinobis will no longer kill one another or seek after power. " said Naruto with his conviction towards getting stronger diminishing.
" You did your best in the war and on the moon to make sure everyone, everywhere is safe. To be a real hero, I believe you should follow the Mizukage's advice and just be sincere. It is up to the world to stay peaceful, you garner natural energy for cultivation to be ready should the need for it arise. "
" I guess resting on this victory is like walking around blind, isn't it? " said Naruto with a sad smile.
Kurama noticed his friend was soon going to overthink his life's choices, so he decided this was the perfect moment to bring that up.
" So why did you do it, did you finally realize what was wrong with you? " Kurama asked.
Naruto's sorrow fades away at the question. " I think we should deal with perfecting your new form first. " Naruto replied with a smile.
Several hours later through morning to noon, respectable figures from different hidden villages began to show up: Fifth Kazekage of sunagakure, Darui of kumogakure, Kurotsuchi of Iwagakure, Shikamaru Nara of Konohagakure. As well as Daimyos of Land of water and land of fire.
Each of this individuals came along with subordinates, each making their presence known in the Hidden mist village for the opening of Naruto Uzumaki's golden statue to the Ninja world. . .
" Mizukage sama, all the expected guests have arrived, " Chojuro announced entering Mei's office.
" Any sign of Uzumaki Naruto? " Mei asked looking over her shoulder, with her back towards the blue haired.
Chojuro folds his hands into fists, sticking them to his sides.
" We've looked discreetly everywhere in the vicinity, but we've had no luck still. Do you...think he might have left the village before morning? "
Mei Terumi frowns. " Apply logic Chojuro, in what world does it make sense for anyone to exit before the official introduction of their statue to the world, while leaving their subordinates behind. "
" Forgive me Mizukage sama, I was just thinking of every option, " said Chojuro hanging his head down.
" His friend's haven't located him too? No idea about his whereabouts, " she inquired, " they don't know much about our village. Their intentions to locate him is wasted, since we ourselves couldn't find him. "
" Naruto Uzumaki is still in this village, and we'll find him. Even if we have to dig into the grounds, we cannot allow our village to be mocked or humiliated for housing the hero, and then losing him ".
" Was that maybe his plan all along? " asked Chojuro, " we invited him here based on fake information, he couldn't have conceived such a plan. I doubt the Kid would be so villainous to want to drag the Hidden mist's heartfelt gift through the mud ".
" Alright, I will return and have our Shinobis keep searching discreetly. But what are you going to do about those waiting upon Uzumaki san? "
Mei Terumi turns her gaze back to the window, with a stern expression.
" They'll just have to wait, I'll stall for time. Do what you must, but do not make a fuss " Mei said.
Chojuro bows his head, withdrew and abdicates the office, shutting the door behind him.
" Naruto, what kinds of thoughts have begun to run in your mind now. What form of rebellious nature is this? " she thought.
Mei Terumi tried to think of a way to figure out Naruto's whereabouts, and the more she thought the more she felt she was hitting a wall.
' Is that boy trying to prove himself slink or something, has he any idea the ghastly effect this could have on me. Where the fuck could he be?! ' Mei thought feeling a urge to scream and melt something, or more accurately, someone.
Whilst she fumed, in a manner she could only reckon to an afflatus, it came to her and she thought it truly perplexing, aggravating and almost humiliating.
" Isn't the Mizukage and Naruto taking too long, I mean we can't be here all day " voiced Kurotsuchi, granddaughter of the Tsuchikage.
Kurotsuchi, Darui, Gaara, Shikamaru, and the two Daimyos along with a few of their subordinates sat underneath a immaculately crafted shed, near the statue's opening area, which has had the mists around it dismissed.
Allowing each of them clear sight of the statue, which was separated from them not by distance only, but by a all round wall as high as half of the statue's entire height.
" You should try to exercise patience, Naruto and the Mizukage will come, we all know how it is with Naruto " said Shikamaru with a smile, trying to diffuse any wrong thoughts.
Kurotsuchi scoffs. " It's been three years since the war ended, is Uzumaki Naruto still a kid. Being there when needed in the war, but acting the sluggard on such a special occasion, " she said.
Shikamaru tried not to frown.
" Do not make such assumptions Kurotsuchi san, Naruto and the Mizukage are bound to arrive anytime soon " said Gaara with a stern expression.
Kurotsuchi frowns, and immediately sort to speak, however before she could the daimyo of the land of water speaks up.
" Both are being fashionably late, let them be. We can still admire the magnificence of this gold figure. ", " rightly put " added Ikkyu Madoka.
Darui looked at each faces bored, then he got up.
" I'm going to take a stroll, " He said before walking off.
Kurotsuchi turns her face away from the statue and pouts, she had wished she had been indulged more. Whilst Gaara and Shikamaru were highly pleased. But neither could not stop wondering why the Mizukage and Naruto were both being dilatory.
' Naruto, what the heck is keeping you ' thought Shikamaru.
Naruto sat in front of a long wooden table, with a bowl of steaming ramen before him, he slurps down on the noodles. Naruto chews for some seconds, swallows and breathes in to take in the scent of the ramen.
At that moment, sunlight shot through the room he occupied; Naruto tilts his head towards the entrance, and with a sly grin he looked upon the Mizukage standing in the light of the entrance.
" It must have taken a bit to think of this place as a possible location for me to be, right? And don't worry, I didn't plan this. So, ramen... " Naruto offered raising the bowl with the grin still present on his whiskered face.
