After another sudden burst of bright white light, Lancex found himself in a strange place with strange sights, sounds and smells, except for one – the smell and sound of war. Casting aside any fear of where he could possibly have ended up thanks to this strange agreement, Lancex headed through the canyon towards the sounds that Lancex was familiar with.
And after turning around a strange bend, Lancex came upon a sight that he was familiar with – a battle between a group of combatants. As Lancex silently crept up on the scene, he saw that a red and blue bot was being pinned down to the ground by two bots, a red grounder bot and a blue flyer bot. At first, Lancex wasn't sure who was in the right, but when he saw the red insignia on the red and blue bot's shoulder Lancex knew who to save – as Slugbug had informed Lancex of the insignias of both sides and who each leader was but that was about it.
And with that, Lancex removed two weapons – one of his smaller swords and his star of Rogue, a large ninja star, and advanced. He hurled the ninja star at the two bots on top of the red and blue bot. Lancex watched, knowing his aim rarely ever missed.
Meanwhile, as Dreadwing and Breakdown pinned Optimus to the ground and were ready to destroy the bot, the medic noticed something flying towards them. "Watch out" the medic called out and the two bots launched off of Optimus and fell onto their stomachs as the ninja star flew before seeming to return in the direction from which it came. As the two cons looked over to whence the star had come, they saw a large, gray and blue intimidating bot standing there. Not ones to stick around, the two cons fled at the sight of this new bot, though they swore they would return.
Only once the two foul bots were gone did Lancex approach the grounded bot. Optimus wasn't sure if this bot wanted to harm or help him so Optimus prepared to fight, even though he was heavily damaged. Lancex turned towards the Prime, who had a hand on a weapon if needed, and offered a hand to the injured Prime. Optimus was a bit taken aback at that. "I am not your enemy" Lancex stated, finally revealing his red insignia that Bug had given the bot, as Bug had hidden it until now.
At the sight, Optimus felt more trusting of the bot and allowed Lancex to assist the Prime off the ground. Optimus thought he felt a strange jolt go through his systems. It had been millennia since he had felt something like this, and while it made him blush, it also reminded him of something he lost long ago. But grateful for the assist, Optimus felt better being on his feet. "What's you name, soldier?"
"Lancex" Lancex replied. Optimus couldn't say much more before the rest of the Autobots along with the thee kids made it through a space bridge. All were shocked to see the new bot, but right now Optimus needed fixing. "Please, he needs repair." Ratchet and the others nodded and soon all returned to the base, to repair the Prime and to figure out just who this new bot was. Well, and Optimus was going to try to figure out why his systems reacted the way they did. He had no idea what would soon be revealed to him – about the new bot and the Prime himself.
