Chapter 24:
Brogues arrived within the hour, same with Sheppard and Lorne, so far, the rescue team selected was John, Evan, Daniel, Teal'c, Brogues and Kai, these six were close and knew they could trust Kai's lead.
Kai, was still in a meditative state, trying to find a way to communicate via thoughts. He has no such luck. Frustration consuming him by the second, he couldn't take it! Getting up, he screams his frustration out! "I failed you brother! I failed!".
"Get a grip brother, I can smell your frustration.".
Kai's head shoots up as he looks around, where did that come from? "Aiden?".
"I figured it out Kai, check every abandoned hospital within a ten-mile radius of the Whitehouse.".
Kai nods to no one in particular: "Understood.".
Leaving for the control room, he tells Harriman everything he knows. "Check for any abandoned hospitals within a ten-mile radius within Whitehouse limits. Nodding, Harriman fired away. "There's one, six miles west.".
Kai nods, "Let's get my brother back.".
Brie, still strapped to the platform, looks around frantically, Aiden must be here too, but how will she get to him? She needs a plan… or does Aiden have one?
Gabriela returns, with a knife. "Well, it seems your time is up, I shall just quickly dispose of you and take back what I rightfully deserve. My beloved Aiden, I can't wait to see what a beautiful child he and I will share.".
Brie laughs, oh she was crazy, "Too bad I beaten you to the punch.". Gabriela froze, "What?". Brie laughs, if her plan works, she would either make this psycho cry, or murderous, let's hope for the former…
"He and I plan on starting a family, together, just him and me, with our children. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if I was pregnant now.". Her smile was the last straw for Gabriela, she lashes out, "NO! THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD'VE HAPPENED! HE AND I ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE A FAMILY! NO!". She breaks down, crying. Okay, so it was the former like Brie hoped. "Face it, you lost.".
But then, Gabriela laughs, laughs? What the fuck is wrong with this woman? "Fool! Did you really think I am, so stupid, he loves me, and we are still in love, he just needs some encouragement. Lifting a scalpel, "All I have to do, is to cut out that baby of yours.".
But she didn't get close, the doors fly open, and the rescue team comes in. "STOP!". Gabriela looks at Kai, "Aiden? How did you get out?". Kai smirks, "He is my brother, I am Kai, Kai Caleb O'Neill. And you are holding my soon-to-be-sister-in-law at knife point!". Seeing no choice or options, Gabriela drops the scalpel, she was defeated. "Crap.".
Kai goes to release Brie, but Brie has something to say, "Where's Aiden?". Lorne and Brogues return to them, "He's gone, they must've moved him.".
