Meanwhile, as Wheeljack and Lancex finally got to their task, Bulkhead and Predaking arrived at the earthly destination where the supposed second relic was located. Bulkhead wasn't entirely sure he could trust the dragon bot, but seeing as they were assigned to go here together, Bulkhead would at least be civil. It was the least the bot could do, especially since Optimus assigned them to work together.
"So," Bulkhead started out, trying to be friendly to a former enemy, "what do you think of the new bot – Lancex?"
Predaking did his best not to blush and turned aside to hide his face, though he made it look like he was searching for the relic. Regardless, Bulkhead noticed the blush and smiled. Trying to maintain his usual demeanor, though slightly failing, Predaking answered, "Bulkhead, Lancex is an extremely powerful bot who is very duty driven. He puts your mission with the Autobots and the safety of the Autobots above all else." Bulkhead nodded in understanding. "Furthermore, during all the times I have talked with him and interacted with him, he appears to have a blunted affect, like he has no emotions."
Bulkhead had noticed the lack of emotion with Lancex as well and nodded. "Well, why that seems to be the case, I'm still just wondering about something" Bulkhead replied. Predaking shot the big green bot a look. "Would you ever consider choosing Lancex as a potential future mate?"
Predaking was caught a bit off guard by the question, but didn't show it. He quickly answered back, "To be frank, I would love to have him as a future mate. He saved me from the consby revealing a truth that I had been lied to about and he doesn't judge me. Funnily enough, the only two Autobots who don't seem to judge me by my past are Lancex and Optimus." Bulkhead just shrugged at that.
As they continued silently to reach their objective, Bulkhead is struck with the thought that if both Optimus and Predaking are potentially interested in Lancex, then it will be very difficult for a choice to be made for just one of them, as both are powerful high ranking bots. Bulkhead was saddened that he would have no chance at Lancex, but with those two in the mix, he figured he had no chance. For now though, it was time to focus on getting the relic and returning without damage and without meeting up with the cons. Things had just gotten messier.
