Toy Palace
"This is the bestest place ever!" Chuckie said. "I wish we never had to leave."
"Hey!" Tommy yawned; he was getting sleepy. "Maybe we don't!"
"Whaddya mean?"
"Maybe we can live here forever!"
"But Tommy, we can't do that!" Chuckie said even as Tommy wiggled out of the stroller.
"Aw, come on, it'll be fun!"
And they did have fun. They found little worlds filled with tiny people and a train that they rode around the entire store!
Except… the tiny people hurt a teddy bear. And the train went so fast even Tommy got scared.
"I think I've had enough excited for one day," Chuckie panted.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," Tommy said, disappointed they couldn't play anymore. His tummy then growled and Tommy rubbed it. "Come on, Chuckie, let's find my mom and get a bottle-"
"But your mommy isn't here," Chuckie whispered.
"Yeah," Tommy said softly. "She's at home." He swallowed and shook his head. "But… uh, it's okay. I bet they have food somewhere. Come on!"
But as they wandered the aisles they didn't find any bottles or Reptar Bars or anything. Just toys. Lot and lots of toys.
"Oh…" Tommy whimpered, feeling his tummy rumble again… but for a different reason. He squeezed his eyes shut, the pain disappearing as he used his diapee, and he began to walk again only for his face to screw up in displeasure. He hated walking around with a dirty diapee. 'I need mommy or daddy to… change… it…'
Tommy swallowed.
"But mommy and daddy aren't here," he said softly. "They live at home." He scratched at the itchy, uncomfortable diapee. "With Grandpa and Spike." He looked around the toy store and suddenly it didn't seem so great to live there anymore. "Hey Chuckie, maybe we should… Chuckie?" he looked behind him and saw that Chuckie wasn't there; he was completely alone. "Chuckie? Chuckie!"
He began to hurry up and down the aisles, calling for his best friend. But he didn't find him. And as he went he got even hungrier but there was no food! No bottles or anything! But he kept going poopy and his diapee got heavier till it sagged to the floor and stank so bad it made his eyes sting. It was so heavy Tommy couldn't walk and was utterly miserable and finally just sat down in his poopie diapee and cried. But mommy and daddy didn't come and cuddle or hug him. He was alone.
"M…mommy!" he wailed. "Daddy!"
"Hey champ!"
Tommy blinked and hiccupped, startled. He looked about wildly. He wasn't in the toy store at all! He was in his stroller and his daddy was unbuckling him. And there was Chuckie sitting in his daddy's car.
"You went to sleep on us champ," his daddy said as he lifted him up. "Come on, time to go home-"
Stu didn't understand why Tommy suddenly lunged forward and gave him a hug, laughing in delight. But Stu didn't mind at all.
