Author's Note
I do not own the Hunger Games.

"Don't push, don't push! Stay in line! You're all going to get your turn! Just wait patiently!"
Excited teens pushed and jostled each other, their chatter filling the entrance hallway. A pair of boys still attempted to jump the queue, proclaiming themselves 'former Victors here to retake their crowns.' A group of older girls shoved them back, their loud protests ringing above all the din, and two of the game officials came forward to march the boys from the building, where they'd have to apply for entry all over again. They'd never make it. Two more teens were allowed in from the outside waiting area to make up their numbers.
The door at the far end of the room slid open. A glow light shone through, accompanied by the hum of machinery. With eager smiles, the workers began showing the enthusiastic players through into the hall beyond.
