Chapter 18: Court Adjourned

Note: Here is a major chapter. I feel it is going to come across as awkward the way it was written but I'll do the best with it I can. One of the story goals is about to be fulfilled in this chapter and an arc will be started this chapter, mainly them trying to find a new place to live, and dealing with Lucy slowly piecing things together. I need to separate the barber and the baker for a while as well to let Lovett have time to become capable of potentially being able to kill Sweeney. So without further to do lets get things started.

(Turpins POV.) "Are you alright Robert?" I asked the officer as he was quiet as we began to pass by Fleet Street. "If I may, my lord, could I take a moment before I come with you to the docks." Usually I would decline such a thing, but I needed to confront the barber, and while I was a judge, and not a trained officer, I had a strong pull, as much as I should ignore, wanting to take care of the barber myself, to make sure he was gone. "Bamford, accompany him." "Are you sure my lord?" he asked concerned,

I glared at him, and his eyes widened. "Of course my lord" he spouted nervously. "We are heading to the Pie Emporium on Fleet Street." (Lovetts POV.) Come on you bastard, show yourself so I can send you to hell where you belong, demon. I was pacing waiting for him to show.

I knew he was going to come for me because of me hiding the truth of his precious Lucy. I hate that bitch. I didn't know how he could still choose her over me. Just then I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I called." Robert came in, but I did not expect to see Turpin's lackey.

"Mrs Lovett, me and Robert have come here to collect you and bring you to his home." "What's wrong Robert?" "The judge thinks Barker is already gone and I'm afraid he might come to kill you." I feigned fear. I so wanted to kill him with one of his razors. But I was afraid if I tried to resist it would seem suspicious.

"There is something I want to ask you though?" Robert said to me. "You don't mind spending the night at my home do you? You can have my bed. "Of course, I haven't been in your home yet." "Well the judge wants me to accompany you there so I shall be waiting for you lot." So at that the beadle went outside.

"I need to write a note though Robert." He shrugged at me. After I wrote the letter me and Robert went upstairs. I laid Sweeney's Razors and the table and placed the note on it for the bastard to read. "Alright Robert, let's join the beadle and head to your home. I left it unlocked for the barber to be able to get in and find.

(Sweeney's POV.) It was dark, and we had arrived near Fleet Street. "Go to the pier, it is not a long walk." "I still don't like this Mr Todd" Anthony said. "Too bad for you." With a flick of his wrist they were off.

First my friends. I marched up to the upstairs to find my razors on the table. I picked the note off them. You only have two razors here, I have the other two. I don't know when or how, but you will die to your own blades. You will pay for Toby's life and be sent to hell you monster.

And by the way, you will never get the bitch to return the way you want. Goodbye for now you piece of shit. I removed my last two razors and put their closed blades in my pockets. I marched down the stairs and with a heavy kick smashed her door open. Johanna could probably kick this door open. "WE END THIS NOW!"

I looked for her all around the building and couldn't find her. In a rage I slammed her bedroom door open. "Do you think this is a GAME!" I marched over to her bed. With raged enhanced strength I lifted her bed to the side and shoved it forward. "She isn't here" I growled.

I couldn't kill the judge, and I couldn't kill Lovett. In rage I began to destroy everything in her room I had the strength to break. I demolished her living room and her kitchen, smashing the table and destroying as much of the piano that I could. I vowed I would kill them. But for now I need to leave and get to the pier so we could escape London, and maybe even all of England. I left the pie emporium and began to march down the street.

(Daniel POV.) It had taken us a while to find this cabin. But we were having a problem. We were tearing the place apart and finding nothing. Other officers were exploring the woods to see if they could find anything. I came to the horrible realization that Turpin was right about what had happened.

"The judge was right about them knowing they were coming. To your horses men." We had to get to the pier before it was too late. (Sweeney's POV.) Once I got to the pier there was only one ship with an empty carriage by it. "Lucy, Johanna, they are there." I breathed.

"BARKER!" I froze at the spot on this. I turned around to face the animal that ruined our lives. I snarled and marched toward him. "You foolish barber, did you think you could escape?" "You are the fool Turpin, facing me alone."

I could not face him now, I had to get away. Despite how much it pained me I turned to head to the ship until. "You were too weak for Lucy. You were so easy to get rid of, and it was easy to lure her to me, and I got. He did not finish that sentence. I spun around and slammed my fist into his face.

He staggered back, my fist having smashed into his forehead. "You dare strike me" he growled. This time I rammed my shoulder into him and knocked him off his feet. Just as I was about to pin him down and pull out my razor, he kicked my legs making me topple over. We both rose and he threw a punch at me. Unfortunately for him I learned some stuff in prison.

I caught his fists and bent his arm behind his back. "YOU BASTARD! I roared as we struggled. "You tore me away, you forced yourself on and drove her over the brink. Now who has power here, now will decide who's fate." He managed to break free and tried to escape. But I was faster and tackled him down to the ground.

"You won't be able to hide forever barber" Turpin snarled as I flipped him on his back and dropped my weight on him. I opened my razor and held it to his throat. "I will see you in hell." He struggled against me as I kept him pinned. The light left his eyes as his blood left his neck. I decided to hide my razor in my trousers to hide the blood.

I had done it, Turpin was dead. I rushed to the ship and climbed inside. I entered the first cabin to find them all. "Daddy!" Johanna cried as she threw her arms around me. "Anthony, Lucy, where are we going?" "We are going to Germany," Hope answered.

I nodded toward him. Someday I would return to kill Lovett, but for now we had to flee.

Note: So Turpin is dead, But Daniel Shaver will begin to chase him. Lucy will also improve over this arc. It will be time for the barber gang's adventure to find a new home.
