Hello readers, chapter 144 is here, and this week Reirousa takes on one of her great challenges yet...!
"H-how much longer are ya gonna be touching these already?"
"Just a little longer, I need to examine something." Sarami spoke as she was looking over Reirousa's chest in the Hyrule Castle medicinal wing.
"I told ya I was fine already Doc Sarami." Reirosua muttered as she sat at the bench, "There's nothin' wrong with-"
But as Reirousa tried to shift away, it caused Sarami to accidentally rub her finger against a sensitive part of her chest, causing her to flinch and hold back a small noise.
"YEEEE...! W-What the hell?!" Reirousa shouted out.
"Sorry Reirousa, but I told you to stop moving." Sarami scolded her, she lifted at her chest a bit and sighed in annoyance, "Oh dear, I keep telling you that you need to wear something other than those bandage wrappings around your breasts. You've grown a whole cup size since the last time you let me examine them, but you're still covering them the same way. That's why they're bothering you so much."
"Ugh, really? I don't know nothin' about boob sizes..." Reirousa muttered, rubbing the back of her head, "Can't you just do surgery and cut these off or somethin'? They get in the way of my training."
"Nonsense, I'm not going to mutilate you like that!" Sarami exclaimed, waving a scolding finger at her, "They're so large and beautiful on you Reirousa! Besides, you'll need them when you finally start having children with Link."
"I said I ain't interested in kids!" Reirousa shouted with a bright red face.
"Fufufu, you say that now, but you'll never know." Sarami giggled, "Now I think you should be wearing a Gerudo top or at the least see about getting a bra in town."
"In town? What am I supposed to do, ask some saleslady to pick one out fer me...?" Reirousa muttered.
"If you're nervous, I'm sure Link would be happy to help you shop for them!" Sarami suggested.
"I ain't going underwear shopping with him!" Reirousa shouted with a bright red face.
After her doctor's appointment, Reirousa walked through Hyrule Castle towards her personal bedroom. Her mind was so distracted by Sarami's teasing words that she kept bumping into things. When anyone nearby spoke to her she'd just snap at them and bump into even more things.
"Not gonna happen... there's no way I'm doin' that with... with..."
"Reirousa, you okay?"
"LINK?!" Reirousa stiffened up at her friend's voice, she turned to see Link walking up to her, "Wha-whaddaya want?!"
"The knights said you were wandering around knocking things over, so I came to see if you're alright." Link said.
"...I-I'm fine." Reirousa muttered, "Just going to my room to rest."
"Well I was just wondering if you and I could go out to town later?" Link said, "Maybe we could get a bite to eat, do a little shopping, that sort of thing?"
"That sounds-" Reirousa stopped herself as she recalled Sarami mentioning picking out underwear, and she went right back to being embarrassed again, "-NOT good for me!" she suddenly blurted out before stomping off, "Sorry man, I-I gotta go to my room!"
Link sweatdropped as he watched her stomp down the hallway, staggering to the side a little and knocking over a suit of armor as she did. He sighed in defeat and went off on his way.
"..." Reirousa stood topless, staring into the mirror of her bedroom. She nudged at her chest a little and flinched, before sighing out, "Maybe Doc Sarami's right about these... but I don't really wanna wear one of those Gerudo tops, they show off too much cleavage, and a bra would be way too girly fer me..."
She looked herself up and down in the mirror, seeing that her hair was growing out more. It was getting trickier to make it into a perm, and she was considering getting it cut. Her face was still as rigid as always, but she was making more effort to try and tone down her scowl so as not to intimidate the Hylians during their stay at the castle. Her large frame was just as bulky and muscular as ever, but her breasts were sure enough noticeably larger and softer.
"This is like the only girly part of me there is..." Reirosua muttered. She found herself thinking about what Sarami said before about having children with Link, before snapping out of it, "Tsk, the hell that's gonna happen!"
She paused and looked back at the mirror again, "Though maybe it wouldn't hurt if I made myself look better for him...?"
Suddenly a knock at the door jolted Reirousa out of her thoughts. In a fit of anger, she stomped over to the door and yanked it open, "T-The hell da you waaaaan- Sister Malon?!"
"Howdy Ms. Reirousa! I'm real glad you're here!" Malon said with a bright and earnest smile. In her arms was her daughter Meli, who as busy blowing on the pinwheel in her little hand and making it spin.
"Uh, whaddaya want?" Reirousa asked staring down at the two.
"Listen, I have to go out into town. My dad contacted me by mail and said I need to speak with some stores about new milk deliveries." Malon said, she lifted her daughter up at the large woman, "Could I possibly trouble you to look after little ol' Meli for me?"
"Wha-?" Reirousa stared down a the baby, who giggled out and waved her pinwheel, "Um... well... I..." she would normally had just given Malon a quick 'no', but found herself stumbling over her words.
"Oh thank you so much Reirousa, you're such a peach!" Malon just handed the baby into her arms, "Ya know, I was a bit intimidated by you when you first showed up at the ranch, but I can see why Link loves you, you're so sweet!" she handed Reirousa some baby bottles, a blanket and some toys as well, "Now I have a few people I need to meet with, but I'll try not to be too long, thanks again for this!"
Before Reirousa could even say a word, Malon had already turned and left, leaving the hulking woman with the baby and her things in her arms.
"But I...ugh..." Reirousa groaned, walking back into her room and putting Meli down on her bed. The baby just stared back at her, "Great, now what am I gonna do with you?"
"Goo?" Meli asked tilting her head.
"I swear, I really need to stick up for myself more..." Reirousa groaned.
Suddenly another knock at the door jolted Reirousa out of her thoughts, and her eyes lit up.
"Maybe that's Sister Malon changing her mind!" Reirosua said, she got up and ran over to the door throwing it open, "Hey good to see ya! I'd be happy to-"
"Oh Lady Reirousa, thank the goddesses you're available." Impa said, as she put her own baby into Reirousa's arms, "I'm sorry to ask, but can I have you watch over Shikki? I'm going to be attending a meeting with Princess Zelda for the remainder of the day and the nursemaids are busy with other tasks."
"Huh?" Reirousa exclaimed seeing the Sheikah male in her arms, "B-But I-"
"Thank you so much for this, Queen Ruto told me how good you are with babies." Impa bowed her head, "I'll see to it you're paid well for this. Good bye."
Before Reirousa could even say anything in reply, Impa leaped gracefully into the air and sprinted down the wall of the palace hallway.
"..." Reirosua stood there blankly with the Sheikah child already climbing around on her stiff body.
"...w-what the hell?!"
Now Reirousa found herself sitting on a stool, staring at Shikki and Meli both on her bed.
"How the hell did I get into this mess?' Reirousa thought to herself, 'I can't be babysitting two kids! I don't know the first thing about it!'
The closest she ever had to looking after kids was back after the war ten years ago, when she found Sovan and the other Gerudo girls who had been the lone survivors of their teams. With nowhere else to go, she led them all to find a place to call home and they wound up becoming the Sandstorm Vipers.
'But this is way different... how am I supposed to watch two babies?' she thought.
Meanwhile, Shikki glanced over at Meli's pinwheel, marveling at the rainbow colors on it. He reached out and grabbed at it, but Meli pulled back in protest. The two wrestled with the pinwheel for a moment, before it was yanked out of Meli's hands and fell to the ground. Meli was shocked by this, and started to get upset, before bursting out crying.
"Wha-? Hey! Cut it out!" Reirousa exclaimed.
But Reirousa's sudden outburst caused Shikki to tear up in panic, and he burst out crying as well.
"Oh no! Wait, don't cry!" Reirousa shouted frantically, she picked up the pinwheel and blew on it, showing off the rainbow colors it made when spinning, "Look! Look at the pretty colors!"
The two babies started to calm down a little and stare at the pinwheel. But as the pinwheel was spinning, Reirousa stared down at the motion herself, and started to get a little dizzy. She felt a slight bit of motion sickness, and some nausea was starting to build up.
"Oh no... ulp..." Reirousa groaned as she handed Meli the pinwheel and ran over to her bathroom.
The two babies looked curiously at what the large woman was doing now, but then Shikki glanced out the window, seeing a brightly-colored butterfly land down on the windowsill, and the small child's eyes lit up at the sight...
Reirousa soon left the bathroom, wiping her mouth off as she turned her attention to the two children on the bed.
"Okay, now with that done maybe I can-"
She then did a double take, realizing Shikki wasn't on the bed.
"Huh?" Reirousa frantically looked around the room for the small child, looking in a jar, under a chair pillow, and under her bed, "Shikki? Shikki where are ya?"
"Ah-goo!"
Reirousa froze up in horror as she looked to the window, which was open just enough of a crack that it allowed Shikki to crawl through and get outside onto the windowsill, clearly after the butterfly.
"WOOOOAAAHHH!" exclaimed Reirousa, "Hold on Shikki!"
The hulking woman scrambled over to the window and pried it open, seeing Shikki crawling along the edge of the castle as the butterfly fluttered towards a flower pot display. Without even thinking of how far it was down to the ground, Reirousa climbed out and went along the side to get to Shikki. The baby was about to grab the butterfly when Reirousa scooped him up, almost losing her balance as she did, but stayed in place.
"Whew, that was close!" Reirousa sighed out.
"Ga-goo!"
"Ga-goo?" Reirousa turned to see Meli was now crawling out the window and going in the exact opposite direction along the edge, "AH SHIT!"
Reirousa slowly inched along the edge towards Meli as she crawled along. Reirousa soon got close enough that she could grab Meli by her little dress and lift her up.
"Okay, now that I got you both, maybe we can-"
But that was when the butterfly floated by, and Shikki went grabbing out at it. Reirousa tried to keep both children in her grasp, but she slipped and Shikki was able to leap out of her arm and onto the sill, and he went crawling towards the edge where the butterfly was.
"No! Nonoonono!" Reirousa shouted going towards the baby boy. She could only watch in horror as Shikki reached out at the butterfly just as it flew off, causing him to loose balance. Reirousa lunged out to try and save the baby, but he dropped off right after that.
"SHIKKI!"
But rather than fall as she expected, Shikki quickly took his diaper and unfurled it into a makeshift paraglider, using it to slowly float downwards after the butterfly and into the vicinity of Hyrule Town.
"You... you gotta be shitting me!" Reirousa exclaimed with bugged out eyes, "Is that one of those tricks his mom knows?"
Unfortunately she was in so much shock she started to lose her own balance and fell off the side of the castle wall with Meli.
"GAAAAAH!"
By what could only be described as a sheer miracle, Reirousa crashed down in a somewhat soft place, namely the castle grounds' horse manure bin. She had been holding Meli up into the air to save her from enduring the impact of the fall.
"Uuuugh..." Reirousa groaned, climbing out of the bin covered in horse manure. She looked down to Meli to see she was just fine, waving her pinwheel and giggling out, "Well I'm glad yer havin' fun..." she quipped sarcastically. She shook off the manure the best she could and looked around.
"Gotta go find Shikki quick! If one hair is harmed on his head... then Lady Impa could have MY head!" she said in a panic.
She took Meli and ran off, being careful to avoid being seen by any guards to get into town.
"Shikki? Shikki!" Reirousa called out as she ran through the streets of Hyrule Town with Meli. Some villagers stopped to look at the giant hulking woman smelling of horse poo, but were too afraid to say anything about it.
"Damnit... where the hell did he go?" she asked looking left and right, until she noticed some knights off in the distance speaking to each other, "Hey, maybe they can help me!" Reirousa ran up to the knights and greeted them, "Hey you guys! Listen, I'm looking for a-"
"Huh? What are you doing here Gerudo?" asked one of the knights, looking at Meli, "And what are you doing with that child?"
"I..." Reirousa was caught tongue tied, having forgotten she wasn't in Gerudo Town and how out of place she was compared to there, "I-I was just looking for a baby and-"
Then she saw two spears were now pointed at her by the knights, both scowling at her.
"And you thought you could kidnap another one huh?" asked one of the knights with an angry scowl on his face, "Stay where you are Gerudo, you're coming with us!"
"Uh oh." Reirousa muttered, looking left and right at the knights. Only able to think of one option at the moment, she turned and ran off in a hurry.
"Hey, get back here!" the knights shouted, chasing after her and Meli.
"Halt! Kidnapper!"
The villagers of town were all confused as they saw Reirousa tearing through town, carrying Meli with the knights in pursuit.
"How am I gonna explain myself if they nab me?" Reirousa exclaimed, accidentally knocking over displays and barrels as she ran down the street which caused the knights to get tripped up.
Reirousa retreated into one alley, desperate to find a hiding place, and finally found an semi-open door. She ran into the building and closed the door just enough that she could peek out. She watched as the knights ran by and stopped for a moment, they looked around, before going down another alley. Seeing the coast was clear, the Gerudo woman let out a sigh of relief.
"Good with that over with I can-"
"Ooggie!" she heard Meli squeal out.
"What's an ooggie?" Reirousa asked.
"Grrrrrrrrrrr!"
"Uh oh." Reirousa looked down to see a small Scottish terrier dog growling at her. It was apparent this was the home of the dog, and it didn't like intruders, "Uh, look... I can just leave and-"
Chomp.
"Yeeeoooowww!" Reirousa exclaimed with the small dog now biting her rear end. She went running out of the house, hopping around with the small dog clinging onto her with it's teeth, "It's biting my butt! It's biting my butt!"
She grabbed at the dog and pulled on it until she managed to yank it off, tearing a bit of her baggy Gerudo pants as it did. The dog growled at the woman, but she glared back down with a menacing scowl, making it back up a bit whimpering in sudden fear, before it quickly turned and ran back into it's house.
"Whew, finally." sighed Reirousa, "Now to find Shikk-"
Then she realized something was off. She looked down and realized Meli was now missing as well.
"Oh no, Meli? Meli?!" Reirousa exclaimed, looking around frantically, "Not you too!"
The large Gerudo woman had no choice, and ran off to try and now track them both down.
"Ooooooh... ah-goo!"
Shikki meanwhile was crawling along the roof of one house of Hyrule Town, focused on the butterfly that had landed down to rest. The baby had lost his diaper after landing and was now butt-naked, but didn't care a single bit, as he was too focused on the butterfly.
The small baby slowly crept up behind it, using his natural instincts as a member of the ancient Sheikah ninja clan to try and grab the butterfly when it least expected it. He slowly reached out, but the wind blew by and the butterfly suddenly flew off at the last minute. It flew over to a window across from the building. The baby was frustrated to say the least.
He looked around and saw a nearby clothesline with laundry hanging from it. Shikki crawled over to the clothesline and slowly go up onto his small legs, carefully walking into the thin rope and began balancing himself on it.
Meanwhile, Reirousa came running down that very street, trying to cover her rear end to avoid exposing herself to the public.
"Gotta find me some new pants or something... then I gotta find-"
But then a pair of men's briefs came falling from the air and landed right on Reirousa's face. She pulled down the drawers and looked up to see with horror that Shikki was tightroping between the buildings.
"No freaking way! Shikki!" Reirousa shouted. She saw Shikki almost lose balance a bit, and she held up her hands try and catch him if he happened to fall off, "Hold on baby, I'll get ya!"
Though this only resulted in more clothes falling off the line and on top of her as Shikki finally made it to the other end of the building. Among the articles of clothing was a bra that fell down right over Reirousa's eyes. She pulled it off and looked shocked at how huge the cups were.
"Oh jeez, this is-!" she spoke, but found herself feeling at the material, "Huh, this is a lot softer than I thought it'd be..."
But she quickly snapped out of it and went to help Shikki. She climbed up the side of the building using the windowsills and got up onto the roof, where she saw Shikki reaching down at the butterfly, which had landed on a flower growing in a planter.
"Hold on kid, I'm comin' fer ya!" Reirousa said slowly tip-toeing across the roof.
When she lunged forward and grabbed at Shikki though, there was a poof of smoke and she realized she had instead grabbed a small plush doll of a dog with a crudely drawn picture of Shikki's face on it instead.
"What the hell? This is that damn ninja cloaking trick?"" Reirousa exclaimed, she looked around frantically, "Where did you go?!"
"Ah-goo!"
Reirousa realized Shikki was now clinging to the vest she wore on her shoulders. She pulled the baby off and looked down at him with relief.
"Oh thank Aifet!" the hulking woman said hugging Shikki, then scolded him, "That's enough runnin' around, ya hear me?"
"Eh?" Shikki tilted his head, before giggling out and hugging at her muscular arm.
"...uh, okay?" Reirousa said, a little surprised at Shikki's sudden affectionate attitude, "Well now we gotta do find Malon's kid. She couldn't have gotten that fa-"
"There she is!" shouted a man's voice, as Reirousa looked down to see the two knights from before, now with a few more of their comrades, "It's the child kidnapper!"
"Looks like she got a second one!" shouted the other knight, "Put your hands up, come down here, and hand us the child!"
"I can't do that at the same time!" Reirousa pointed out to the knight.
"Oh, she's right." the knight realized, "Okay, maybe have one hand with the baby held and keep one hand up... or maybe put your hand in your other hand with the baby in that hand and-"
"Just surround and arrest her already!" shouted the other knight bonking him upside the head. The others all went off in different directions.
"Shit, I gotta scram!" Reirousa said looking left and right.
She noticed the other building across the street. She nodded to herself, wrapped Shikki up in her vest, and taking a deep breath, ran across the roof and leaped high over the alley, grabbing onto the roof on the other side. She pulled herself up and ran across to escape.
"You gotta be kidding me!" exclaimed the knight, "These damned Gerudo, send in more reinforcements!"
"Whew, think I lost em..." Reriousa gasped out after having run for quite a while. Shikki was safe and sound in her vest, albeit nude, but still safe. She looked out to see Hyrule Castle in the distance.
"If I don't get back to the castle with Shikki and Meli before Malon and Lady Impa show up, things are gonna get real bad..." Reirousa muttered, "I don't know what they were thinking making me babysit these kids... I barely had em for a few minutes before all this trouble went down..."
She reflected on Sarami's conversation with her before sighed deeply, "I was right, I ain't the type of be havin' a family with Link..."
"Ga-goo?" Shikki asked poking his head out from Reirousa's vest.
"Whadda you want?" she mustered.
"Ga-Gaaaaaaaa..." the baby had a relieved smile on his face, as Reirousa caught on to a really bad smell, maybe even worse then the manure she had climbed out of earlier.
"Oh you gotta be shitting me!" Reirousa shouted, too frustrated to realize the terrible pun she made.
She went over to a crate nearby and set Shikki down onto it. She looked down at the vest and gulped a bit, before opening it up and seeing what the baby had done.
"Aaaaargh! My vest!" Reirousa exclaimed, slapping her palm into her face, "I've had that thing for years and you went and ruined it!"
"Ah?" Shikki innocently tilted his head, and Reirousa sighed in defeat.
"Ugh, what am I gonna do?" she muttered, before realizing she still had some of the laundry that had been hanging to dry from earlier.
Using her vest to wipe up the mess from Shikki, she then picked out a shirt from what she had been holding and looked down at the baby carefully. She put the shirt on over Shikki, and tied up the bottom into a knot. It was a bit crude, but at least it gave him some modesty.
"There, least yer not gonna go running around anymore." Reirousa said.
"Ah hahah!" Shikki laughed out happily, and Reirousa was caught off guard by how he smiled.
"Now that I think about it, this is Link's kid..." Reirousa realized, "He's kinda got his laugh too... "
But Reirousa snapped out of it and picked Shikki back up, wrapping him in a blanket to hide him from any villagers. She looked down at her soiled vest for a moment, before throwing it in the garbage.
"Guess I need a disguise myself. But what could I...?" Reirousa pondered, she looked over what she had obtained from the clothesline and noted one particular outfit.
The villagers of Hyrule Market Town were caught off guard as they saw an incredibly tall, large bellied woman with a baby walking through town. She was wearing a bright pink muumuu with blue flowers decorating it, as well as a large sunhat that hid her facial features.
Reirousa was absolutely mortified wearing her disguise. Besides the fact she was wearing something so bright and girly, she had gone so far as to use the other clothes she had acquired to make her stomach and butt look bigger. She didn't have much of a choice though if she wanted to hide her muscular physique from the knights.
"Pardon me Miss!" spoke up a man from behind. Reirousa froze up and peeked over her shoulder to see it was a knight.
"Y-" Reirousa cleared her throat and spoke in a much more high-pitched tone, "Y-Yes your knightliness?"
"I'm sorry to bother you, but we're currently searching for a Gerudo who's been going around kidnapping children, have you seen anyone like that?"
"N-No! Not a bit! Tee-hee!" Reirousa said, "But thank you so much for warning me!"
"Just looking out for our citizens Miss!" the knight saluted, "But if you see anything, let us know!"
The knight ran off to join his comrades, and one of them showed him her old black vest that they had found. The knight sniffed it, only to revolt in disgust.
"Okay, just gotta find Meli and I can get back to the castle." Reirousa said walking through town, "And with this disguise no one will find me out!"
"Pardon me Miss!" spoke a strangely familiar woman's voice, as Reirousa turned and looked down to see much to her horror, it was Malon standing before her, holding a basket of Lon Lon Milk.
"M-MALON?!" exclaimed Reirousa.
"Huh? Do I know you from somewheres?" Malon asked curiously.
"Oh, uh..." Reirousa cleared her voice a bit and went back to the high-pitched one, "I saw you at the uh, talent show the other day! You sang real pretty, tee-hee!"
"Well thank you kindly! Sorry to bother you, but I was just going to tell you that you dropped these." Malon said, holding up a pair of men's boxers.
If Reirousa hadn't been holding Shikki at that moment, she might have faulted over.
"Oh uh... thank you! My... uh, husband will appreciate that you found these!" Reirousa said, grabbing and stuffing them awkwardly into her dress.
"Hey is that a baby you got in there?" Malon asked looking at Shikki wrapped up in Reirousa's arms, just covered enough that she couldn't recognize him.
"H-He's not-!" Reirousa paused for a moment, and held Shikki close, "Y-Yes, he is..."
"Oooooh how cute!" Malon squealed, "It's good to see a fine mother like yerself!"
"T-Thanks..." Reirousa pulled down her hat, trying to her best to not be recognized.
"Gee, it makes me kind miss my own little girl..." Malon said longingly, "Maybe I should head back home soon an-."
"NO!" Reirousa blurted out, only to correct herself, "I-I mean, don't you wanna spend some alone time while you got the chance?"
"Guess you're right, the babysitter I left her with is a bit rough around the edges, but she's really a good woman at heart!" Malon said smiling, "And I know she'll take good care of my Meli!"
All the physical pain she had endured up until now didn't hurt half as much as the naive compliment Malon just gave Reirousa in that moment.
"Well I gotta go, take care Miss!" Malon waved and strolled off.
"Malon..." Reirousa hung her head down, "I can't let her down... I gotta find Meli quick!"
And with that, Reirousa went off on her way.
"Kwaaaaahh! You damn slackers get a move on!"
"We're trying boss man, but this wood is really tough to hammer through!"
"Put more of yer muscle into it then! We have to complete this in three weeks!"
In one area of Hyrule Market Town was a new five story building that was currently under construction. At the moment though it was a four-story structure consisted of wooden planks and boards. There was five carpenters working themselves to the bone trying to put it all together.
"This is ridiculous..." gasped a carpenter as he was hammering away, "How are we supposed to complete this whole thing in three weeks?"
"Especially when the boss man keeps making us waste our rest time at that darn Bombchu Bowling Alley!" nodded another.
The five of them looked down at their boss, an older man in a blue vest and folding his arms with a strict scowl on his face. He was known around Hyrule as one of the best carpenters in the business. He did work for both the market town and Kakariko Village, and even made the bridge that went over the waterfall that led from Hyrule Field to Gerudo Valley.
"Say, where's that son of his anyway?" asked a third one, "Shouldn't he be helping us?"
"Little punk is probably laying about like usual, saying everything about this world is disgusting." muttered the first carpenter rolling his eyes, "Only thing disgusting is his attitude! This is a beautiful world that we're working to make better for everyone!"
"Very true!" nodded another carpenter, "Say, have you heard about the Gerudo coming into town?"
"Yeah, they're staying at Hyrule Castle for a peace treaty or something!" said another, "Ah, I've heard they're such lovely women! What I wouldn't give to get away from our loud-mouth boss'n check out their home!"
"WHAT WAS THAT?" they heard their boss shout.
"N-Nothing sir!" the carpenter said, as they all quickly went right back to work.
As the boss was watching over things carefully, he was unaware that a small baby was crawling into the area. It was Meli, searching for Malon or at least someone recognizable, like that nice blonde man her mother liked to have around.
"Hey is that...?" Reirousa spoke as she ran up to the construction yard in her flowered muumuu, seeing a small figure crawling inside, "It's Meli! Hang on kid, I'm coming for ya!"
Reirousa was about to run into the construction yard when the boss of the workers stopped her.
"Kwaaaaaah! Hold it there Miss! I'm Foreman Mutoh, the boss of this project, and I can't have a delicate lady like you in our business! You could get yerself hurt!" Mutoh shouted.
"Look pal, I gotta get in there and get that baby!" Reirosua pointed out.
"Baby? Ain't no baby around in here!" Mutoh shouted back, "I got my eyes on this place, see? And no one gets in or out without my notice!"
As Mutoh was ranting, Reirousa watched Meli crawling by on a stack of wooden planks. She crawled down a slanted one and went out of view just as Mutoh turned to look back at the worker's progress.
"Keep at it you fools!" Mutoh shouted, "And prepare yourselves, we got practice again tonight!"
"Awwwww!" they heard all the men groan out.
Mutoh turned back to Reirousa, "As you can see, nothing gets past my eye! Now beat it, you women're nothin' but trouble," he looked at her dress, "Especially a fatass like you!"
"You got a problem with women, bub?" Reirousa asked, glaring down menacingly at Mutoh, who didn't look the slightest bit shaken.
"That's right!" Mutoh said glaring at Reirousa, "I got a daughter who wanted to inherent my business, but she's way too much of an girly airhead to do it! Now my son on the other hand, he's going to be the one to make me proud! Kwaaaah!"
'What I wouldn't give to clobber this asshole...' Reirousa thought to herself.
The carpenter men were so busy they didn't even notice as a board that was lifted up to their level had Meli crawling across it. The baby crawled along the planks as the carpenters were hammering away at everything.
"Ga?"
She looked far off in the distance and saw someone with familiar long red hair, and recognized it to be her mother. Excitedly, she started crawling towards the edge, not aware of the height she was at.
"Ah shit!" Reirousa exclaimed, muscling her way past Mutoh and running forward.
"Hey, get outta here ya damn woman!" Mutoh shouted.
But Reirousa paid him no mind and kept running. She jumped and climbed up onto the wooden structure to get to the level were Meli was. The carpenters were too busy hammering to even notice her.
Just as Reirousa was about to approach Meli though, the baby then came to a stop at the edge, realizing how far down it was, before turning and going off in another direction. Reirousa tried to skid to a halt, but it was a moment too late, as she looked down realizing she was now standing on thin air.
"Uh oh." she said. She and Shikki looked to each other for a moment before both taking a long drop, "AAAAAAAaaaaahhhh!"
Meanwhile down at the ground level, one carpenter was busy scolding another,
"I told you for the millionth time Doyle to put a warning sign here!" he said pointing to a foundation filled with wet cement, "What do you think would happen if someone were to trip and fall into this?!"
"Ah ha ha, sorry about that!" Doyle said setting up the sign as his coworker went off on his way. Doyle grumbled to himself, "Feh, what idiot would fall into this quick-drying cement anyway...?"
As Doyle walked away, two seconds later Reirousa fell right into the cement with a large splat. The hulking woman slowly got up covered in the wet compound.
"Ugh..." she groaned, she looked up to see Shikki parachute down to the ground using the men's briefs from earlier, "Yer pretty resourceful, ain't ya kid?"
"Ah-goo!" Shikki said, pointing over at Mali who had gotten down from the structure by a downward plank, and was heading towards an exit to the yard, unaware of a rickety pile of wood being formed by the carpenters throwing excess material from above.
"There she is! Look out Meli!" Reirousa shouted, running towards Malon's baby as the wood pile started to rock and tilt as more debris was being thrown down.
As Reirousa ran though, the thin layer of wet cement on her body was starting to dry quickly. She moved as fast as she could to get to the baby. Just before the pile of wood could shift towards Meli, Reirousa stepped out in front of it and the cement completely hardened. The pile of wood leaned down on her back, but she remained still thanks to the cement, and Meli was unharmed. The baby crawled off, and Shikki came crawling up to Reirousa.
"Goo?"
"I... made it..." Reirousa groaned through clenched teeth.
But then a carpenter picked at his teeth with a toothpick, and flicked it away. The small toothpick fell and landed down on top of the pile of wood, and that managed to be just enough weight to make the whole pile come crashing down on top of Reirousa.
"Ow."
"Ooooh!" Shikki clapped happily at Reirousa, then looked over to see Meli crawling off.
"You gotta be kiddin' me, I told you to stay out of here ya ijiot!" Mutoh shouted, running up to the pile of wood, "You alright in there Miss?!"
The wood pile then shook a bit, as Reirousa climbed out of the pile free from the cement, but with the dress completely torn apart, revealing her in just her Gerudo pants and chest bandages.
"Ugh... I think so..." Reirousa groaned, "Hey, where are those kids?"
Mutoh and the carpenters looked in complete shock as the overweight-looking woman from before was now a burly muscular woman, who ran off out of the construction yard. He and his carpenter crew looked down at the pile of wood.
One of the carpenters commented, "They say construction work makes ya stronger, but THAT?"
"Shikki! Meli!" shouted Reirousa, running to track down where the kids had gotten to.
Her running led her out of the market area and to a quiet courtyard where the Temple of Time stood. Reirousa walked past four Gossip Stones that were displayed along the road and came up to the temple building, leaning against it with a gasping breath.
"Damnit. where did the kids get off to...?" she buried her face in her palm, "Man... Link's gonna be real pissed when he finds out about me losin' his son and Malon's daughter..."
She stared up into the clear blue sky, finding herself thinking about Link all of a sudden. She ran her hand through her permed hair, feeling at pieces of cement and wood still stuck in it, as she recalled what Sarami had told her earlier that day,
"Children of my own... feh, yeah right. How the hell could I ever be a mom for Link's kids if I can't even handle watchin' over those two...?"
"Ah-goo!"
"Goo?" Reirousa spoke, as she looked over a corner of the temple, and sure enough she saw Shikki and Meli sitting on the grass of the courtyard, playing happily together. Shikki noticed Reirousa d waved out at her.
"Ga!"
"Hey, there you two are!" Reirousa exclaimed with relief, running over and falling to her knees, scooping up the two children and hugging them, "I'm so glad you two're alright!"
The two babies just laughed out happily as she held them both, and she felt her spirits perk up greatly. Meli held up her pinwheel and blew on it to get the rainbow colors spinning for Reirousa, but instead of getting motion sickness from it, the large woman just found herself focusing on the bright happy face of the baby.
"Come on kids, we better get back home before your moms show up lookin' fer ya." she said.
"Excuse me, Miss?" spoke up a man's voice from behind.
'Shit, it's probably those knights from before!' Reirousa thought to herself. After all the trouble she went through to find the kids, she wasn't about to be captured by them now. Putting Meli into the same arm as Shikki, she clenched her fist and quickly turned around, swinging out her arm in an attempt to make them back off, but accidentally decked the man in the face.
"Huh?"
Reirousa looked down with alarm to see it wasn't a knight after all, but just a villager man who was now laying on the ground in a daze.
"Woah, buddy! Are you okay?" Reirousa asked, looking down at the man.
The man groaned out in pain, while Reirousa couldn't help but find him familiar somehow. She realized it was the 'Honey' guy from the spinning couple that she saw in town the day of the talent show.
"Wait, you again?!" she exclaimed, "Uh, you alright bub?"
"Ah, as brutal as this pain may be, it does not compare to the crippling emotional pain that I have suffered as of recently!" Honey sniffled with his arm up to his throbbing forehead.
"...jees, pull yerself together already..." Reirousa said, lifting up the man by his shirt and sitting him down at a bench, "Sorry about that. Just tryin' to keep these two in line and make it back home."
"Those children you mean?" Honey glanced over at Shikki and Meli, "They are sweet little ones, are they yours?"
"Eh, something like that." Reirousa grumbled, not wanting to make him think she was a kidnapper too.
"How nice, a bundle of twin babes that surely brighten even your darkest of days!" Honey said, "It makes me a might jealous to be frank."
"I thought you said your name was Honey, not Frank." Reirousa said.
Honey looked up into the sky with a melancholic stare, "Ah, my lovely Darling sometimes spoke of the day the two of us would wed and have many beautiful children like these, but alas, our long relationship has ended with disaster, for she had broken up with me..."
'Oh right, that girl wound up going ga-ga for Link back at the talent show...' Reirousa thought as the babies were now on her shoulder, pulling pieces of wood out of her hair. They tugged a little too hard a few times, but she was appreciative of their effort.
"Haven't you tried talkin' to her at all since then?" Reirousa asked.
"I have sought her out, but she won't speak of joyous romance with me anymore..." Honey sobbed, "Her heart has been claimed by that wretched king of the Gerudo!" he clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, "He shall rue the day he stole her from me!"
'Guess I can't really call her out on it. I could understand how she'd fall for him...' Reirousa paused and asked Honey, "How long were you in a relationship with her anyways?"
After a moment of thought Honey said cheerily, "Why I'd say she'd graced my presence for a little over ten years!"
"You were with her THAT long?" Reirousa exclaimed, "And she broke up with you just like that?"
"It seems she was of a more fickle heart than I could have thought." weeped Honey, "After all we had done together, the countless days in the market, spinning within each other's embrace like a tornado of love!"
"Didn't you do anything else with her besides twirl around all day?" Reirousa asked.
"What else is there?" Honey shrugged, "Being entwined in the embrace of each other's arms, captivated by each other's sheer beauty and elegance? It could have gone on forever..." he clenched his fist, "Until that devious Gerudo King got in the way...!"
"..." Reirousa stared down at Honey and looked away rubbing the back of her head, "Man, if you ask me, she's not worth it."
"Huh?"
"If that's all your life ever was with her, that don't sound like love to me." Reirosua said, "There's a lot more to datin' someone than just how hot you think each other are..."
Reirousa glanced up into the sky and thought about the times she shared with Link, whether it be dueling or weight training, hugging out their sorrows of the past, or even just hanging out together at the Gerudo Town bars.
"It's about how well you two get along as friends, all the fun little things you do together, and when you grow close enough to the point where you finally get married and start havin' a family..."
Reirousa glanced over at Shikki who was now sitting on her shoulder, as she recalled how long it took her to finally confess her feelings to Link on the rooftop of the Gerudo Town schoolhouse, and how happy and relieved she felt to finally admit it.
"...a family that the two of you can raise together happily. Maybe it'll take a long time for you to be ready for that kinda thing, but that patience is all part of being together..."
Honey stared up at Reirousa in awe for a moment, reaching up and feeling at the bump on his head, and then lowered his gaze.
"Yes... I understand now..."
"Huh?" Reirousa asked.
"...I realize that my Darling was little more than a bewitching fox in disguise, fooling me with her stunning beauty..." Honey said, "The true one of whom I have sought my whole life..." he turned to Reirousa nd spread his arms out, "...is YOU my dear!"
"...what?" Reirousa asked.
"A truly compassionate woman with strong values and a kind heart, a loving motherly woman of two..." he said running his hands along her arm, "And such raw, powerful muscles... like that of a burly and magnificent ox, I could just imagine feeling myself being crushed under such magnificent weight and rest myself against those boulder-like abdominals!"
"What." Reirousa muttered in a dead pan tone, "Did you even hear a single thing I said...?"
Honey looked up to Reirousa with a grotesquely wide smile and snot hanging from his nostril, "Allow me to take you as my fine burly bride, I shall pamper you with only the most luxurious livings, and all you must do is bear me a sizable sum of strong children!"
"..." Reirousa said nothing, but tightened her fist.
Much later on that day, some people found Honey alone, laying face-first in the dirt of the Temple of Time's courtyard. His body was covered in so many injuries that he had to go in for immediate medical treatment and would probably be in a body cast for quite a while.
"Thanks for helping to get us this Chateau Lon Lon while you were out." Link said to Malon as he walked down the hell of Hyrule Castle, carrying a small box of milk bottles, "Epona's going to need a lot more of it soon."
"Not a problem Link, I know how much she's been enjoyin' being a human!" Malon smiled. She glanced out a window and saw how it was approaching sunset, "Gosh it's a lot later than I thought I'd be. I need to go see Ms. Reirousa, I owe her big time for watching Meli all this time!"
"Impa owes her for watching Shikki too, I can't believe you the two of you both made her watch the kids." Link said in annoyance, "You know by now how tongue-tied Reirousa gets when she's put on the spot like that."
"Ah ha ha, sorry about that Link. I didn't know Impa was going to do the same thing as me!" Malon said rubbing the back of her head, "I just hope she isn't too upset..."
"Hey Reirousa?" Link asked knocking on the door to her bedroom, "Malon's here to get Meli. I was thinking maybe we should-"
But as Link opened the door to Reirousa's bedroom, he looked in and his eyes widened. After a moment, he just smiled and silently closed the door.
"You know, on second though Malon, maybe we outta come back a little later." Link said with a hushed tone, as he led a somewhat confused ranch girl off.
Meanwhile in her bedroom, Reirousa was laying back sleeping on a soft chair, with Shikki and Meli both sleeping soundly and happily on her lap.
"Well I think that should just about do it." spoke Nemisa, as she and her Four Bracelet copes; Gemisa, Bemisa, and Pemisa all stepped back and admiring their work," I must say Reirousa, I'm rather impressed you wanted to through with this. You look great!"
"Y-You think so?" Reirousa muttered, rubbing the back of her neck.
"Absolutely, now don't forget to put this on as well." Nemisa said, reaching over and taking a black article of clothing, "Oh, and good luck." she added with a wink.
"Thanks Nemisa... ya know, I'm real glad to have you as my family..." Reirousa said, putting on the clothing as she stepped out of Nemisa's room.
Reirousa walked down the halls of the castle nervously until she noticed a certain man in the hall, having a conversation with Princess Zelda, Prince Darius, while Lady Impa stood beside them with Shikki in her arms.
"Ah-goo!" Shikki squealed out at noticing Reirousa, making the other three all look to see her.
"Reirousa?" Link said in surprise.
"U-Uh, hey Link." Reirousa muttered.
"Oh wow!" gasped Zelda at the sight of her.
The tall muscular woman stood with a hand in her pocket and looking away with an embarrassed face.
Her hair was no longer in a perm like before, but now it was cut by Nemisa into a long and spiky reverse mullet bob style, with the use of a bit of hair dye it looked a little brighter and complimented her normally dark-looking golden eyes. She had a light bit of lipstick that contrasted just enough on her dark skin. She also now wore small hoop earrings, another first for her.
She had traded in her tattered, manure scented clothes for a new outfit Nemisa had acquired for her in town. She now wore a black leather jacket open over a white shirt. She had blue pants on that were worn tight enough to show off her muscular legs. She also had on a pair of black women's shoes decorated with rhinestones.
Also while none of them could see it, Reirousa was also wearing a good sturdy bra now. It was holding up her chest and doing a fine job showing off their fullness even under the jacket.
"R-Reirousa, is that you?" Link exclaimed, looking at her up and down.
"Who da ya think it is, Queen Ruto?" Reirousa exclaimed in frustration, "I mean, um... yeah."
"Those are nice earrings Lady Reirousa." Impa said impressed.
"Thanks, I uh... bought em with the rupees you paid me to watch Shikki." Reirousa said.
"That's so sweet, right Link?" Impa smiled.
"Yeah, they look great on you." Link nodded, "So what's up Reirousa?"
Reirousa gulped a bit, "I was just wondering if you wanted to go... out tonight... have a little um... that thing where you..."
"Where we...?" Link trailed off, with a growing smile on his face.
"DAMNIT, I WANNA GO ON DATE WITH YOU, ALRIGHT?" Reirousa shouted out, she then looked downwards and spoke in a small voice, "If... if you really want to that is..."
Seeing the pretty blonde princess, as well as the mother of Shikki both by Link's side she felt rather awkward, but Link instead reached out and took her hand, squeezing it tightly.
"I'd be happy to Reirousa." Link said with a bright smile.
"I..." the muscular woman's face was flushed brightly, looking unbearably cute to Link.
"Well I was going to challenge him to a dual of blades, but it seems he's going to be having a dance of devotion instead!" Darius laughed out, "Perhaps we should leave them to it, my princess?"
"Oh of course!" Zelda giggled. She turned and walked away with Darius and Impa, only to stop and look over her shoulder at Reirousa, "And good luck to you Lady Reirousa!"
"Uh, thanks..." the hulking woman said, as she and Link went off into Hyrule Town together.
Later that night in town...
"Reirousa, is something the matter?" Link asked curiously as he was leading her to a barbecue restaurant he had picked out as a potential date spot with her.
"..." the muscular woman glanced behind her to see a bunch of Hylian knights doing patrol work,
"Looks alive men, we have a suspected kidnapper of two babies, a laundry thief, a break-in that's terrified Mamamu Yan's dog Richard, a trespasser at the construction yard, as well as someone assaulting a man outside of the Temple of Time!" said a knight, "Head out and begin your search!"
"Sir!" said the knights saluting. They past by Link and Reirousa but paid them no mind.
"...n-nothing. Let's just go." Reirousa said a bit mortified, as she left with Link on their date.
And that ends this week's chapter. Gotta say this one was a pretty fun chapter to write, it was a nice callback to the cartoons I grew up on as a kid. The construction site scene for example was a classic gag in 'babysitter chases after the baby' jokes, like Tom & Jerry and Popeye.
One thing I wanted to do going into this chapter was give Reirousa a new look for herself by the end, from a ragged thug to more of a classy biker style chick. It's a bit of evolution to her embracing more of her womanly side but still retaining her tough appeal.
Next time though, we break from the silliness and take a moment to reflect on the past, as Link gets to learn a little more about himself, and his family origins...
