Chapter 32: Wedded

Note: Surprise, Lovett and Robert have been married and Lovett gets a POV flashback of the wedding. We also get some Sweeney and Lucy fluff too this chapter so yay them. So without further ado let's start the flashback with Lovett and end this with Sweeney and Lucy.

(Mrs Lovett's POV.) So for the last week I was Eleanor Jones. It was a small wedding, as we did not have a lot of friends and did not have much family that could make it. It was mainly just us. Thankfully that creep Bamford had not shown up. He did not seem to want to do much since Turpin was killed by Todd.

As much as I hate the barber, I still felt that the judge was the catalyst for everything that happened. I could not believe I was getting married. I had always dreamed of marrying Benjamin Barker, but I knew it would never happen, especially now. Robert was a good man, unlike Todd is now. Even though I was no longer a virgin I was wearing white. It was awkward without a bridesmaid, but we were making it work.

I entered the church only to see Robert in a groom's tuxedo standing at the altar in front of the priest. His jaw hung open when he saw me. I smirked, realizing I could make him drool if I wanted. It wasn't the dress I always dreamed of wearing with Barker but now I was wearing it for a man who truly loved me. I walked next to him and closed his mouth, still smirking. We told each other our vows and the priest pronounced us husband and wife.

Our honeymoon was quite eventful as well, but I have secrets I would like to keep. Robert looked so good, and he assured me that I was sexy. All that really did is make me feel even happier. I felt Robert squeeze my hand. We were both sitting on my bed back home. "What are you thinking about love?"

"I was thinking about how happy I am now with my husband." Robert smiled as I said this. "To think we met the way we did, and how things ended up happening between us." "I am glad I met you, and that Todd is gone." "Do you think he will ever come to try to kill you again?" "You're here to help me now, and you've been teaching me how to fight and helped me get stronger too.

If he ever comes back, he won't get what he wants." Robert stroked my cheek gently. "I love you so much," he reassured. "I love you so much too, more than any other man." We pressed our lips against each other tightly. I was ready to start my new life with my dear Robert. (Sweeney's POV.)

Anthony with Johanna. And I was home with Lucy. It has been a while since we have been alone. We decided to sleep in today, We were both sitting on our bed at the time haven just woken up. I neglected to tell her of the events of a few days ago. Some things were best to keep secret.

"You don't know what life was like without you and Johanna. I dreamed for years about returning to you, and when I finally did I thought you were dead." "But that is over now my love," she told me. We then decided to go for a walk. "I love fresh air," Lucy said. I no longer felt the love for life that Lucy felt, but I was still happy to see her happy, though I could never be rid of the dark thoughts. "I wish we did not see Johanna growing up," Lucy sighed.

"I'm glad she was not tainted by the judge." We approached the docks we once came from. "It is beautiful this time of year." "Not as beautiful as you, my angel." "You are a flatterer sir." I gently kissed Lucy's cheek.

"I missed moments like this my love" I told her. "It was bliss being with you before everything happened," she responded. We stayed silent for a few minutes before an idea floated through my mind. "There is one more thing we must do, my Lucy." "And what would they be my love?" she asked as she turned to me.

I turned to her and got down on one knee. "I don't have a ring yet Lucy but I am once again asking you for your hand in marriage. I know we never officially divorced, but I want to truly start over." "Of course, of course" Lucy breathed. I could see her eyes welling up with tears. I stood up and embraced her tightly.

We then kissed each other deeply, as we had done so many years ago. "Anthony and Johanna will be so happy to hear the news," Lucy said, breaking our kiss. I stroked Lucy's face. "I have been saving for a ring of my love, and I should have it in a few months. I told her. "I will wait as long as it takes my love," she said, giving a watery smile. Once again I would be calling Lucy my wife.

Note: Sorry this chapter is shorter than the others, but life got in the way making the chapter shorter than it would be. Next chapter Lovett will have a flashback showing how Robert helped Lovett learn how to fight, as well as get stronger. That way we get a good final showdown between Sweeney and Lovett in the finale. We will also get some needed Anthony and Johanna courting fluff as well. We are getting closer I promise, just two more chapters and we start the final arc.
