"So, what brings you back to me?" Jaeger asks Jeanne and Maverick, the mage grinning and holding the women next to him as his visitors reach the living room. "Finally decided that the idiot is-" Before Jaeger can finish, Jeanne rushes ahead, holding her former Master up in the air by his collar.
"Reinforce yourself." "What?" The mage asks while staring, and gets thrown into the wall. "Huh… Fucking idiot. You assholes! Come in and fix him! And activate the mansion's defenses!" Jeanne receives no replies, before she forms a black fireball in her hand, prompting a 'Yes, ma'am!'.
Watching this scene, Maverick smiles awkwardly, but then grins as he watches Jeanne, walking to her side as he does.
Meanwhile, the women that were besides Jaeger smile at Maverick as they leave, prompting his stare. "Do you know what burning alive feels like?" Jeanne says, glaring at the women as she does, "Smile at my Master again and I will let you have a taste."
As the women hurry along, Maverick stares at his Servant, and curls his lips as she proceeds to look around.
The young man soon joins Jeanne and Jaeger in an underground tunnel. As they travel, Jaeger continues to whine in his native tongue. Seeing Jeanne possibly about to end the man, Maverick, with a smile on his face, speaks up. "My name's Maverick Li, by the way." "Li?! Do you have-" "Don't shout, arschloch." Jeanne cuts him off, "You are pissing me off."
"How da- ARGH!" This time, a tiny explosion cuts off the mage, and the walk continues. After smiling at the scene for a while, Maverick tries to speak again, but the voice of Jaeger's security guard cuts him off.
Just now…
"Should we help him?" One of Jaeger's security guards asks, joined by his co-workers inside a room filled with screens. "Are you crazy? Didn't you see what Berserker did to Felix? I ain't getting close to her, man." "By the way," Another security guard speaks up, "Why do you think she came back?"
"I don-" "Uh…" A security guard sitting in front of a screen cuts the conversation short, "Guys."
Now…
"Herr Jonas, we are leaving." The security guard says in German, and the only person who understands him goes off in the same language. "Shut it, arschloch." Jeanne cuts her former Master off, and as the mage growls, Maverick watches him with concern. Then, as he continues walking, the non-mage takes out his phone.
Seeing the device no longer working, he sighs before stroking his chin. "What?" Jeanne asks Maverick in anger, but the young man simply shakes his head, prompting the Servant to growl before speaking to her former Master. "Arschloch, what the hell did they say?" "Those idiots are leaving for some reason!"
After being answered, the Servant strokes her chin, before her eyes widen and she continues walking.
Soon, they arrive at a vault made of steel, with drawings, possibly magical, around the entrance,. Other than that, various liquids are stocked inside the room, which Jeanne points to. "These should restore my mana." Jeanne says before she and Maverick look around, but she pauses to speak to her former Master. "By the way, you know who Archer is, right?"
Switching his focus to the conversation, her current Master sees the former Master's eyes widen as she mentions the unnamed Servant.
"I do. Why?" "Who is he?" "Why are you asking?" After questioning his former Servant, Jaeger backs off. "Wait. Don't tell me you assholes are being chased by him?" He continues, and his former Servant responds. "Ya. So tell me-" Before the Servant can finish, her former Master turns around and runs.
"I ain't dealing with this!" Seeing this, Jeanne sighs and joins her current Master, the two looking through the liquids in the vault.
…
After some running, Jaeger comes to a pause. "Si… Sir Archer…" He says as the Servant calmly looks down at him, and the mage gestures towards where Jeanne and Maverick are, "The… they are there, si… sir… I… I helped you trapped… trapped them, haha…"
Maverick turns around, and so does his Servant. "What was that?" The Master asks. Something just hit him, something he doesn't understand, something very real. "Don't know. Don't give a shit."
Seeing his Servant resume their current task, the young man, after massaging his chest, sighs and does the same. Then, after some searching, he pauses. "Say, Jan." "Ya?" "You think these could help?" "What cou-" She stares at what her Master stares at, before she smiles.
"This is gonna be a blast."
Then, it didn't take long, and as it comes, even with all the prep, Maverick continues to take deep breaths. Soon, it can be heard, the sound of a giant's steps, and not long after, it stands at the entrance of the vault.
"Hm…" Archer hums as he stares at the dark vault, the lights having been turned off. He then sniffs, chuckling afterwards before advancing. His step unleashes the sound of a thick liquid, and a black colored fire ignites next to him. The flames follow a trail of liquid on the floor, making their way towards him.
"Hahaha!" The Servant laughs before he uses his cape to block the incoming inferno, which catches onto the lion hide but does not consume it.
An explosion then erupts. "Putain de merde!" Jeanne shouts as the room gets lit up, with the Archer then coming out from the cover of his cape. The Berserker takes this chance to throw her Chinese sword at the enemy, but the steel hits the also metal breastplate of the Archer and falls to the floor.
At the sight, the giant lets out a sigh of frustration and spawns his weapon, before fires erupt out of the blade by his feet and traps him. Yet, Archer grins, causing Maverick to stare at the enemy. However, the smaller man then sighs before also grinning himself.
"You know," Jeanne says as she draws her third sword and gets surrounded by fire, "You are quite the fun guy. Kinda sad to see you go," She sighs, "But it's business." She then rushes at the stunned but still smiling enemy, "So fucking die! Völkermord Feuerdrache!"
Her weapons connect with the armor of the enemy, before the black dragon of flame appears once more, ravaging its wielder's foe as it did before. The foe, however, laughs rather energetically despite his situation.
…
Jeanne continues to watch the enemy with caution. After the fire is gone, she and Maverick see the bowman on one knee, his equipment gone as burn wounds cover him. One piece of equipment does remain, however. The lion-made cape around him.
"Tch!" Jeanne clicks her tongue before swinging her blade to unleash fire on the enemy, before he swings his cape to defend himself. As she raises her sword for another swing, he rises, and as Maverick stares, approaches Jeanne. She tries to back away, but her foe raises his leg and unleashes a Muay Thai style front kick to her stomach.
Maverick stares as the woman flies into the wall. "Stop!" He shouts before running to his downed Servant's side, and as he checks on her, the enemy watches the two before curling his lips. Letting out a sigh, the Archer calmly asks for his enemy's name, speaking with a booming voice.
Maverick stares at the giant, before the latter glares and asks once more. With his tone far more threatening, he gets his answer. "You have my thanks, and hers?" Archer continues, and Maverick once again stares at him. In response, he sighs and goes on. "Do not provoke my anger another time. What is her Name?"
The young man turns to his Servant, and his expression softens into a grin as he watches her. He sighs, and while turning to the enemy, sees the latter stare. Still, he ignores what he sees and responds calmly. "I ain't telling you."
The enemy continues to stare, but then balls his fist and glares. "What is her name!?" His roar sends the man he dwarfs to the floor. As the dwarf lies, he feels his vision fades, and his pained muscles prevent him from massaging his aching chest. In this state, he turns to the enemy and opens his mouth.
"I… won't… tell…"
Both dwarf and giant continue to glare, and the giant growls and walks up to the dwarf. The dwarf also moves, also growling as he crawls between the approaching ogre and the unconscious young woman.
"Listen…" The dwarf continues after placing himself between the two, "I will tell you… everything about me… but…" He pushes himself up, "Leave… her… alone…" As Maverick speaks, his shoulders rise and drop to every word, and continue to move as his stance persists.
The enemy clenches his teeth, and for reasons Maverick cannot comprehend, somehow ends up holding a severed, still bleeding arm in his hand. The enemy's anger then shifts, Maverick's ground persisting, and the giant lets out a sigh.
"Very well." The Servant says with a smile, "I won't hurt her. You have my word."
Maverick proceeds to collapse, and as his consciousness fades, he hears Archer shout in a language that might as well be Greek.
"Master! Heal him!"
