Submarine

"I can't believe you're thinkin' of getting a new car!" Lou complained as they drove towards the dealership. "I've had my car since you were 15 years old!"

"And it breaks down every 15 days," Stu replied as he made a left. "Remember what happened last week when you were taking the kids to park?"

"Conflabit I'm gonna get this figured out…" Lou said as he looked at the engine.

"Tommy," Chuckie said nervously as he looked about at all the other cars going by. They were all seated in the back, Dil gumming a ball while Tommy watched all the cars racing by, wishing he could run as fast as they went, "do you think we're gonna be stuck here forever?"

"No way, Chuckie!" Tommy assured his friend. "My grandpa would never make us live out heres forever."

"Gan-pa! Gan-pa!" Dil squealed.

"That's right, Dilly!" Tommy declared. "Grandpa knows how to fix everything."

Meanwhile Lou scratched his chin. "Hmm… let's see…" As he worked a red 1958 Plymouth Fury hardtop rolled up. "Oh… its you," he grumbled, seeing the car out of the corner of his eye.

"Please Lou," the CAR said, in a sultry voice, "you know we're meant to be together."

"I already told ya before a possessed putzer I'm good with my car!"

"But we could do such amazing things."

"Bug off Christine, I'm tryin' ta take my grandson ta the park!"

"Awww…" the evil car said sadly, driving away.

"Pop, I did all the research and this car's going to be great for the family. More space for everyone and its highly rated for safety."

"Still think it's a waste of money…"

But Stu smiled. "Even without trading in this car I could afford it. Drew and Charlotte have been great helping me get my investments in line and the marketing for my new line of dolls."

"These care salesmen are all thieves!" Lou complained.

"Again Pop I did my research. Gains' has one of the highest customer ratings in the area." He chuckled. "Trust me, this isn't a scam."

And it wasn't. Stu HAD done his homework and the dealership was fair and to the point. No haggling (when Lou had tried the salesman had firmly but politely stated that the price was final), no weird add ons (Stu was given a pamphlet he could go over within the next 30 days if he wished to add something later) and when they all did the test drive even Lou admitted it was a good car. Stu even got his next 3 oil changes for free!

Tommy, Dil, and Chuckie all clapped and cheered later that day as they drove off with their new car, in their minds seeing Stu as the brave submarine captain who got them out of dangerous waters.
