Independence
Kron looked bored as he gripped the Beowulf by its throat and slammed it against a boulder with his hand still on the throat. The creature clawed at his face and tried to bite his arm but to no avail his Ki protected him.
"You know I really feel sorry for you guys." The child stated as the creature kept mindlessly attacking him. "You destroy and kill all around you. That part's a saiyan's dream, but you don't really have fun, do you? Plus, you don't eat, you can't think, it must really suck to be you."
The creature only roared and kept trying to scratch him.
The child held a Ki ball in his other hand. "Don't worry, I'll end all of you as soon as I can." He shoved the energy in its open mouth and blasted it's head off. He watched as the rest of the beast disintegrated into nothing.
Kron sighed, the one thing he doesn't like about these creatures is that they don't leave behind their bodies and he can't wear their fur and mask. It'd be so cool if he could do that, he'd look like the monster the people of this world hide from while he purged it.
Speaking of clothes, he could really use some. He looked down at his bare chest and bare feet. At least Raven didn't destroy all his clothing and those guys that healed him didn't take what he had left.
'They shouldn't have taken the armor.' He was real upset about that, so what if it was half destroyed, he was going to frame it when he returned home. He had no idea that any attacks here would be strong enough to actually damage it.
'It was cheap armor.' Kron reasoned and sighed. Clothes, he needs to get clothes. The Saiyan jumped and floated over a tree. It felt nice to fly again although he was just a bit rusty. It was easier since Raven taught him how to use his 'aura'. He looked around, maybe there's a village or town nearby. It would be fun to try to raid one on his own.
But then he'd be painting a target on his back, as far as he knew he wasn't a wanted criminal since he hid among the Branwen Tribe in order to get stronger in secret.
'Which a Saiyan shouldn't do.' Kron chastised himself. Even a saibaman, no worse even his father could clear out this planet without going Oozaru or having to hide among the lowly natives. Saiyans are supposed to be the ultimate destroyers, no sneak attacks just frontal assault and destruction.
Kron stopped himself and took a breath. He was exuding negativity, which will attract more Grimm and he could get overwhelmed. Besides his tired of not having a shirt or boots and needed to find a place of clothing.
He floated a bit higher and saw something that peaked his interest. A city built over a mountain, he read about this in the history book he got from Raven. "That must be Mistral."
A city the first one he's seen on this planet, he always been curious of what they looked like. Raven never took him there. The question is should he go there?
He could sneak in easily enough, perhaps he should avoid flying too close could end up drawing attention. "I'll just fly low and sneak through an opening." He reasoned as he began flying in that direction.
The Saiyan flew down below through the forest in the direction he saw it. This city was built to hide from the Grimm, back home Saiyans didn't think of such nonsense, some of the Tuffles did, never did them any good though.
Kron let himself float down hoping nobody saw him. If anyone did hopefully they just write it off as his semblance and he won't be needing his Ki blasts.
Not that he minded a fight with the authorities. When Kron made it to the outskirts he looked and couldn't take his eyes off of it. It was wonderful, buildings built on top of a mountain. He actually shook himself, he had to focus, what was he here for? Right clothes, he began to jump from rooftop to rooftop and looked around.
And he found one, a clothing store and better yet it was a dust clothing store. From what he could remember they were clothes huntsmen and huntresses wore because they were as strong as their Aura. Hopefully they can last while he used his Ki.
The Saiyan thought about just going in and taking what he needed to avoid and taking what he needed. But then he thought it'd be less of a hassle to just use his speed to take what he wants without anyone noticing. He looked all around him. And plus, just looking at the city without fighting authorities would be nice.
Never thought he'd think that.
Kron quickly goes in the store quicker than most can see, he looks all around at all the clothing he can get. He sees a green shirt with red long sleeves, black pants and a pair of shoes.
He jumps out making the owner of the stall question how some of his clothing got missing.
The Saiyan went to an alley and ditched his pants. He put on his new outfit and his tail poked a hole through his pants. He then walked to a window to see what he looked like.
He hated it, it looked like he was a regular monkey Faunus brat. 'Raven I'm going to enjoy making you scream.' He sighed and shook his head, he walked out of the alley and kept walking.
It worked, he blended in mostly, some people were giving him looks. Probably wondering where this brat's parents were.
'If they only knew.' Kron thought as he kept walking, he looked all around at the buildings and architecture. It wasn't anything as advanced as the saiyans, though it was built with the left-over structure of the buildings the Tuffles left behind. And he liked the look of It all.
It's actually going to be a shame when he starts destroying it all. Do other saiyans think this when they start their mission? Probably not but still, this people have good taste in buildings.
The child kept walking ignoring all the people just looking at him weirdly, he stopped when he looked at a building.
'Museum of Anima' it read, that piqued his interest more than he liked to admit. He already read a book on Anima's history multiple times, but he never got see an actual museum, in fact there was no such thing as the word museum. Back home the closest thing Saiyans had for museums were trophy rooms of the kills they got and minerals of planets they conquered. But they never explain in detail what the planet's culture was like, only their military tactics and how strong the enemy was.
That itself was appealing but he always wanted to know what other planets were liked before being conquered. For reasons he doesn't quite understand, it would seem his father rubbed off on him more than he wanted to admit.
Kron looked at the building, looked like you'd have to pay to get in. Well nothing that speed couldn't fix.
He snuck through the doors without anyone seeming to notice, thankfully the average human couldn't keep track of him.
The Saiyan was in and nobody seemed to have noticed his presence. He looked all around the museum and it was very pleasing to him. Most was what he already read of the history of Anima but the paintings, the old monuments that were no longer standing were pleasing to the boy.
He sees paintings of two divided into classes upper and lower class. Sounded almost like home.
It show examples of architecture, theater and fashion. He glared at the mention of theater, his father probably would have liked that. At least that's life for the upper classes.
Then there's the lower classes with criminals who have been captured and received proper punishment. The lower class are now more of rabble that are no threat to the kingdom.
The terms sounded like back home, only low class saiyans were not seen as a threat and so are treated like servants or cannon fodder.
'But at least they get to fight.' Kron thought bitterly remembering the boring day to day on the planet. He shook his head and moved on to the section maybe saiyans can get into for a few minutes at least.
The Great War, an eighty-year old conflict between Vacuo and Vale against Mantle and Mistral. Two kingdoms against another two kingdoms, quite an odd war.
Saiyans used to live in tribes and all of them fought for themselves until Vegeta the First forced them all to unite.
And these people don't seem to remember who struck who first only that it started. And it was a stupid thing too in his opinion, it started when Mistral oppressed art and self-expression in order to protect them from the Grimm. And Vale didn't take kindly to how they treated their citizens.
'They started a war just because the other nation treated their people bad? Wh is that their concern?' Saiyans were simple, they started wars because they were fun or wanted control. This planet had weird reasons to do anything for reasons that were considered idiotic for any Saiyan.
Yet Kron couldn't help but be interested, it was so fascinating learning how fickle this species is. They weren't straight forward, they were complicated.
The child looked around all the museum and couldn't help but enjoy it. 'I think I'll make my own museum, not just a trophy room, it'll tell the stories of every nation of every world and all of the planets will have the same ending. Me.' He imagined a museum much larger than this one telling the stories from that planet.
But he stopped daydreaming when he realized that such a thing would be impossible for a low class. Well maybe one day if he saved enough credits. No other Saiyan would look at his dream museum but that didn't matter to him. He's ok with being the only one to see it.
As much as Kron hated going to taverns, doing special effects with his Ki for his father's stories, one of the few things he enjoyed with his father was learning of history.
And coming to this world not only allows him to fight but to learn another world's history.
Kron felt a bit ashamed of enjoying this, a Saiyan should only care of fighting and destruction. He shook his head and resolved himself. Once he joins the PTO all that will matter as that he does his job and he can do what he wants when he's not fighting.
"Excuse me."
Kron turned around almost shocked, he fought not to just hit whoever startled him.
It was a young woman with short green hair, she had a green shirt and black pants. With a belt that hoisted a staff, the hilt looked like a miniature tree.
A huntress no doubt. They always dressed all fancy clothes instead of actual armor. 'Does she know who I am?' That would be bad, Kron was hoping he can hide behind the Branwen Tribe while he raided villages since they left very few survivors with the Grimm.
The girl bent down to his level. "Hi little boy are you lost?" She said in a very friendly manner.
So, she thinks he's just a child that's lost, that was good he can just leave. "No"
"Really, then where are your parents?" She looked around for any other monkey Faunus no doubt.
Well that's definitely bad. What should he do? Fight? No, he's in a city, there will be a picture of him and multiple pests will be after him. He's really wishing he was still with the Branwen Tribe about now.
"Oh, don't be scared." The woman giggled, he hated how she was talking to him but went along with that to not cause a scene. "Let's start over, my name is Orchid Greene, I'm a huntress, what's your name little guy?"
Oh she doesn't know, good roll with it. "Kron"
Orchid looked at him expecting a last name but received none, she shrugged. "We'll little guy why don't you come with me, so I can help you find your parents?"
At first Kron wanted to refuse but then realized what huntress would abandon a child? Best course of action was to tell her that his parents our outside the city and kill her. "Ok"
Orchid giggled. "Great, why don't I get us some food and you can tell me where we can find them."
Food. Suddenly Kron wasn't disliking her treating him like he was helpless.
As Orchid left the museum with Kron by her side a men with a dark brown hood watched them leave.
"We may have found the target." The man spoke. "Yes a young child with black hair and a brown monkey tail."
Orchid took Kron to what appeared to a restaurant and had told the boy to order whatever he wanted.
And she regretted it not long after.
The boy order and eat two orders of everything.
Orchid tried keeping her friendly smile as he ate, the money she spent feeding him would have been a couple new outfits. It will be the last enjoyment the poor little thing will have.
"So Kron where do your parents live?"
The Saiyan stopped eating and looked at her. At first he didn't know what to say, he was still a kid so he'll just do what he did with Raven. "Mm, I don't remember."
"Aww" Orchid had a face that said she pitied and Kron fought not to glare. "Don't worry." She put her hand on his head and patted him.
Kron wanted to push her hand away but he didn't or rather he couldn't. This simple pat brought back a memory. Raven would put her hand on his head whenever she praised him. He shook his head and tried to suppress that memory.
Orchid took her hand off of him from him shaking and smiled. "After your done eating, let's go meet up with a friend of mine. He and I are headed for someone who can help you home ok?"
The Saiyan nodded. Hopefully they'll be somewhere secluded and he can just end her. Though hopefully she can put up a fight. She looked down at her knives, a shame not a brawler type, hopefully she can put up a decent fight with a semblance.
The duo got out of the restaurant and were walking on the street.
Orchid looked at her balance on her scroll and looked sad. Hopefully they compensate once she delivers.
Kron was walking pleased that his belly was filled, the food tasted better than what he used to eat in his time in the tribe. Now all that was left was to deal with the huntress and her friend.
As the two walked a man in a hood came out of an alley.
The child stopped and looked up to see a man with a tan, grey hair and beard with green eyes. He looked down on Kron disgusted similar to how most of the tribe looked at him.
"Kron this is my partner, Lec Blue." Orchid introduced him.
Kron just looked up at him and attempted politeness. "Hi"
Lec didn't say anything, he looked at Orchid who gave him a look. No doubt he hated Faunus. "This is the kid you told me about?"
She smiled. "I believe so."
"We'll need proof." Lec walked away.
The boy didn't like being ignored and felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked up at Orchid who smiled to him. He merely walked forward with Orchid at his side.
The three of them made it outside the city, eventually they made it to a forest away from prying eyes.
'Perfect' Kron smirked, he can just end them here.
"Show us your semblance." Lec demanded.
"Hm?" Why would they want to see it?
"Just show us ok?" Orchid asked. "If you do we'll treat you to some more food!"
Ok he won't kill them yet. These huntsman and huntresses provide free food and protection? No wonder their worshipped.
"Ok" Kron rose a hand and formed a Ki ball, he then tossed it against a tree creating a crater in the tree. He could have made it stronger but didn't want to waste more Ki hopefully this would satisfy them.
"Wow" Orchid complimented. That seemed to have been efficient.
"Good" Lec walked forward and placed unique cuffs around Kron's wrist.
'What?' The child thought looking down at the cuffs.
"Hey! You could have waited until we were near the city!" The woman yelled.
"Shut up" He looked down at the brat. "Those are Aura cuffs animal, they restrain your semblance so don't even try taking those off!"
Not really a concern, he can break them anytime. That thought crossed his mind but first he wanted to know something. "Why?"
"Look kid, we know who you are." Lec said.
Kron's eyes widened. Was he a wanted criminal? Damn he was hoping the Branwen Tribe were good at keeping their members hidden.
"We heard rumors of a child monkey Faunus with some sort of laser semblance."
Oh, so it was only rumors. "So you only guessed I was because of my tail?"
"No!" Orchid yelled as if in defense. "It's just, you were a little boy out on your own and so we had decided to test your semblance and if it wasn't true then we'd take you to your parents."
Lec rolled his eyes. "Look kid, we don't even want you. We're after Raven, that's why we took you out of the city. We don't want her to know we're coming for her and we want the reward for taking her out."
So these two think they can take on Raven? Maybe not on their own but still, Raven was supposed to be an elite on this planet, could these two also be elite? And he couldn't help but love the irony in this. They suspected who he was yet took him out of the city to interrogate him. If they took him to the authorities it would have been hard for Kron to move around without standing out as a criminal. They did some of the work for him.
He chuckled and pulled his wrists shattering the cuffs.
Lec looked shocked and took a couple steps back.
Orchid dropped her scroll her expression was also astonished.
"You two should have given me more food first." Kron cracked his knuckles. "You could have lived longer."
"Lec we're those the aura cuffs?" The woman asked not believing what she's seeing. Their meant to weaken the wearer.
"Shut up and fight!" Lec pulled out two daggers with a long chain connected by the pommels. He wore a blue armor chest plate and black pants.
Kron chuckled and charged at Lec first.
A vine appeared from beneath and wrapped around Kron's leg.
"Wha-" Kron was yanked down and crashed against the ground more vines appeared and wrapped around his arms and legs.
"Go to sleep you miserable psychopath!" Lec kicked Kron's face.
It wouldn't have hurt him except a blue electric current passed through his body and he screamed in pain. He was still conscious and pulled himself from the vines and jumped back much to the duo's surprise.
"This kid isn't normal." Lec realized. "Orchid, no holding back this time."
"Got it!" She agreed.
Kron took stock of what they had and remembered Raven's lessons. When fighting huntsman pay attention to their semblances, know their strengths and weaknesses. The man Lec he's called creates a blue electric aura, around his body and Orchid from the look of those vines, she can manipulate plant life.
Orchid pulled out her wand and looked at Kron. "I was hoping you'd just surrender, if you tell us where Raven Branwen is we'll only rough you up a little bit."
Kron hated Raven, but he didn't know where she is but also, Raven is his prey no one else's! 'Another reason we should have finished the villages we were in instead of leaving it to the Grimm.' Survivors probably spread word of his exploits.
"Unless you want to be plant food-"
Kron dashed and kicked the side of her head. He smirked as she hit the tree behind her.
But it was short live when Lec slashed him with a swing of his chained dagger.
The Saiyan got had a long slash mark at his back and shirt. He felt electricity go through his body and he hit the ground in pain. He growled turned around and dashed at the huntsman.
Kron was quicker and stronger than Lec able to a powerful uppercut him sending him upward. The child stopped as he felt the string of electricity go through his body. 'Hurts to hit him.' He noted.
Lec flipped and landed on his feet. He sees the saiyan coming for him again and swings one of his chained daggers and places it in front of him creating an electric shield in front.
Kron stopped just before the swinging weapon and aimed his hands forward they began to glow. He doesn't need to touch him.
But then vines rose from the ground and wrapped around Kron's wrists and pointed his projectile up, he fired in surprise into the sky.
Kron growled and turned around to see Orchid with her hands aimed at him. He turned back to Lec who swing his chained daggers across his chest.
Again, a shocking current went through his body and an 'X' mark in blood appeared on his chest.
"Would you just knock him out!" Orchid yelled.
"The electricity is supposed to knock him out-"
Kron roared as he pulled his arms apart breaking the vines, he turned around and ran for the huntress.
He kneed her in the stomach and grabbed her head and bashed his own into it.
Orchid looked daze much to the delight of the child.
Kron was about to throw another punch. But the child was struck from behind stabbed in his back and again electricity flowed through him.
As the electric current flowed through him he pulled out the dagger and tossed it aside. He turned around to see Lec smirking at him.
The Saiyan growled, he hated seeing the smirk coming from a mere worm. He aimed his hand and fired an energy wave.
Lec was ready for it and jumped to the side, as the energy made a tree fall. He dodged multiple more energy blasts shot at him.
Kron was struggling, he kept carefully aiming his Ki shots, he can see that Lec was worried. A smile was on his face. 'So he can't do much about long distance that's good to know.'
Then blade like objects flew past Kron in his arms and knees. He looked shocked as he fell to his knees, he looked at the 'blades' they were actually leaves. Kron turned his head to see Orchid aiming her hands at him.
'Her semblance let's her weaponize plants!' He was struck in the right shoulder from Lec's dagger and felt another electrical current go through his body.
"Stay down, you little psychopath!" Lec demanded and pulled his dagger out. He walked behind him and Orchid in front of him.
"Look kid just cooperate." Orchid pleaded. "Just tell us what you know about Raven Branwen and this can stop, my friend enjoys torturing you I just want this done so I can get paid."
"Don't make me look like the bad guy, he's a killer, we're not just gonna go easy on him like he's an innocent kid.." He turned his attention to Kron. "Tell us where we can find her, then we'll send you to a correctional facility so maybe you can right all wrongs. Otherwise." He brought his dagger to his face and it turned into a shotgun.
Kron didn't listen instead he put one hand on the ground and fired a Ki blast creating a dust cloud that surrounded them. The child used this as a chance to fly away and get some distance.
When the dust settled the duo looked confused. "Where'd he go!?" Lec demanded.
"He couldn't have gotten far!" Orchid rationalized.
The duo looked further into the forest searching for the boy.
Kron was breathing heavily away from the duo. "Damn it!" He punched the ground creating a hole. Those two could have captured him and who knows where he would have ended up. 'I am not going to be a prisoner on this far flung mud ball!'
He calmed himself and rationalized his situation.
Those two have semblances he hasn't seen to much of. The electric one he's fought once or twice against huntsman from the villages he hunted with the tribe, the plant one he hasn't seen much of, Vernal might have killed one.
All of his battles against huntsman and huntresses were one on one. He's never had to fight multiple opponents, Vernal one of the other tribesmen or sometimes Raven would have that part covered and he would focus on one. 'These miserable humans aren't like Saiyans, their too scared to fight one on one.'
Every time he went for a kill the other protects them.
The huntsman Lec, physical attacks work but at the cost of electrocuting yourself.
The huntress fights at a distance, close combat is her weakness.
Fighting them at once is just not practical.
He sighed, he was going to have to use those annoying tactics Raven taught him. Those wimpy tactics.
'Maybe my lack of strength wasn't the only reason I wasn't sent to a planet.' He squeezed his hands in rage, he calmed himself.
'What's more shameful? Being captured by weaklings, or fighting dirty to save yourself?'
They two are fighting dirty, two on one. It's only fair he's allowed to do it to. Yes, it's not shameful, it's necessary.
Kron let out a breath and stood up. 'They'll head this way soon.' He powered up and brought his fist up high. Electric red Ki danced on his arms. 'Focus your Ki, don't use all of it, just separate them.'
Lec and Orchid were still together looking around for the child.
"Don't you think we should call for back up, he's not normal." Orchid reasoned.
"Do you know how much money this can get us?" Lec retorted. "This little animal can get us Raven and hunting her can give us more money than we know what to do with!"
Orchid thought about it, she did spend a lot of money feeding the little twerp. And the reward of capturing the notorious Raven Branwen can replace that money a hundred times over. "I guess your right, still annoying that he's out of sight."
"Can you use your semblance to grow a banana?"
Orchid looked at him with a disappointed look. She didn't care about the brat but she wasn't a racist. "Really Lec?"
"It was just a joke relax."
"This is why I think the White Fang are going to gut you one day."
Lec was about to retort but he sees a red light coming from above.
Before either can react, the blast hit the ground between them, the impact pushed them away from each other.
"Orchid!" Lec called out.
"I'm ok I just" Orchid felt someone grabbed her and was pushed further away.
"Orchid?!" Lec called out panicking.
Kron dropped Orchid on the ground once he flew over a mile away from Lec.
Orchid got up covered in dirt. "W-where's Lec?" She looked around seeing only Kron in front of her.
"We're far away from him, he'll catch up, gives me right amount of time to kill you."
The huntress got up and brought up her staff. "L-look your just a kid, I don't want to hurt you more than I have to."
"Oh?" Kron found that annoying and interesting. He wanted to know why but he rationalized he didn't have much time. "You better start wanting to then!" He ran towards her.
Orchid focuses her semblance and vines grew beneath Kron and ensnared him.
"These don't hold for long!" Kron got out of the restraints and kept running.
Orchid jumped back and waved her staff again. The trees behind her fired leaves.
Kron sees them and jumps to the side. Leaves hit the ground he was standing on. "So that's what you hit me with earlier. If I had to name that attack it'd be Razor Leaf."
The huntress raised her staff and multiple vines grew from the ground. Instead of ensnaring him they merely swung him.
The Saiyan was whipped in the face, his arms and legs. He fell and hit the ground.
"Just stay down little brat and-" She stopped as she heard him laugh.
Kron jumped up and kept laughing. "If I had to name that attack, Vine Whip." He licked blood at his lips and dashed towards her again.
Orchid rose her staff again and this time a Piranha plant appeared in front of Kron.
The Piranha plant swung it's jaws at him. Kron back flipped he sees leaves being shot at him and rolled to the side.
The plant with teeth bit into his right arm but it's teeth we're only tough enough to break the skin. Kron smiled and fired Ki into it's mouth he then fired a Ki wave in the creature's stem making it fall.
Orchid panicked as she rose the staff again but Kron was right in front of her and grabbed her wrist.
The huntress panicked as the boy was up close and her partner wasn't around.
Kron punched her get multiple times he then punched her face knocking her on the ground. Her green aura shattered.
"That was quick you must have wasted your aura on all that plant manipulating." The Saiyan walked over to her.
"Wait you don't have to do this." Orchid pleaded. "Please, just let me go, I'll convince Lec to-"
Kron snapped her neck ending her. "Over glorified gardener." He turned his head to the source of the huntsmen's scent.
Lec came through the forest and looked in distraught. There was the body of his partner now dead. "Orchid!" He ran over to her past Kron.
The child let him and observed what was happening. There was no need to interfere, besides he found this intriguing. He's seen other humans clinging to those they lost but he never seen it without need of rushing to take out the enemies before the Grimm attack the village.
Lec got ahold of his loved one and cried. "Orchid! Wake up!" He felt no pulse at her neck, he looked visibly angry to Kron. "You, disgusting animal!" He stood up and swung his chain daggers. "I'll eviscerate you!"
Kron smiled, good his opponent is now more motivated to fight. For a minute he was worried he'd be too depressed to fight.
Lec charged at him covered in an electric aura.
The child knew better this time, he was going to have to fight at a distant.
He jumped back and fired two Ki blasts.
Lec swung his blades into spinning shields and blocked the blast and charged through it. And he swung a one of his chained daggers.
Kron ducked beneath the chain and the blade cut down a tree. Kron fired a Ki wave at the huntsman.
That blast hit Lec and he was pushed back.
Kron then grabbed the tree that was cut down and with effort was able to lift it over his shoulder.
Lec noticed this and his eyes widened. Huntsman are capable of strength without the aid of a semblance but not by this much.
Kron then swung the tree like a giant baseball bat and hit the huntsman and launched him in the air. The child then dropped the tree and fired an energy wave aimed at the flying huntsman.
Lec's eyes widened seeing the blast coming, he tossed his chained dagger, it wrapped around a tree and he pulled himself down out of the blast's trajectory.
Kron was frustrated but not disappointed. He wanted this fight to go on for a bit longer. But he was annoyed he didn't know where he was.
The child ran through the forest and tried to rely on his nose to find his prey. He was walking carefully, he was certain he would win but he learned from Raven and the huntsmen he's killed not to get cocky.
"Come out!" He yelled, he remembered how he reacted to his comrade. "Afraid to join your friend?!"
And suddenly, Kron was wrapped in the chain whip against a tree. "Oh cr-" Electricity filled his body from the chain.
It didn't stop as Lec appeared from behind the tree. "I told her how many people you helped killed! How dangerous the Branwen Tribe are!" He focused more of his semblance to increase the pain.
Kron screamed, he's never felt such a voltage.
"I knew you were just a filthy animal that deserved to die!" He stabbed his dagger through his leg. "Well, I'm not just gonna kill you! I'll make it nice and slow."
Kron was screaming in pain from the lightning, he couldn't break the chain as it electrocuted him and inhibited movement. But he could still use his Ki. With a lot of effort Kron focused his efforts into a single Ki blast against the tree, he fired and it tore through the tree.
It gave him enough room to jump, before Lec could react he fired a Ki wave at the huntsman and it hit.
Kron was not going to let this chance slip away, he grabbed the tree that was falling and flipped it over and slammed it on top of Lec.
Kron landed a few feet across from Lec. "Ok, use it now!" He rose both arms up in front of him, electric like energy escaped his closed fist. "Beringel Burst!" He fired his powerful technique.
Lec was able to push the tree off of him and he sees a red energy wave racing towards him. He couldn't move in time and the attack swallowed him whole.
A giant red explosion the size of a house surrounded the huntsman.
Kron watched as the explosion died down breathing heavily. He tried to keep a fighting stance, he wasn't sure if that was it but if it wasn't he was dead. His technique still took a lot out of him.
When the dust settled a disturbing sight was left.
Lec was still alive but his right arm was gone, his left broken and burnt. His legs had bone sticking out.
"Y-you bastard!" He screamed. "I- I'll kill you!"
Kron breathed easier and chuckled. "Well, I guess your Aura's done." He walked closer to take a better look at him. "Glad that hit you, if I missed you could have killed me." The child laughed in enjoyment.
Lec glared and cursed multiple times at the boy. "You animals are all the same!"
The child looked down at Lec and chuckled. "I'm much more than a Faunus. Telling you what I am wouldn't really have an interesting reaction." He aimed his palm at his head. "All you need to know is, I am the end of Remnant's story." He blasted his head off.
Kron looked down at the corpse, he chuckled and started laugh. "Two huntsmen at once and I beaten them!" This was the first time he fought two actual huntsman and won. Without Vernal, Raven or even the Branwen Tribe's cannon fodder. And the best part was that no one told him what to do in this fight! He was on his own and allowed to do whatever he wanted without any hurry.
"Ah!" The child stopped laughing his body ached from all the pain. "Guess I better get shelter and heal." He was about to leave his foot stepped on something metal. He looked down to see a cut chain and knife. "The weapon." The child knelt down and grabbed what was left of the weapon. "Huh"
Kron looked at Lec's corpse and walked towards it. He put his hands in whatever pocket's survived and grabbed a wallet. It was filled with lien and a Huntsman ID with the name Lec Blue.
A smile formed on his face. Perhaps he can find a way to make a museum with the weapons and information on who held them.
He went to grab whatever was of value on Orchid's body and took her ID as well.
After he was done searching them he fired what was left of his Ki to burn the corpses. Now that he wasn't a member of the Branwen Tribe anymore, he couldn't afford a trail of bodies. He needed to build up the strength necessary first.
As the corpses burnt to ash Kron looked at the IDs of the duo he killed. Lec Blue and Orchid Green.
"Maybe I can make a necklace or something out of these." He smiled at the thought. And perhaps he'll write about the warriors he fought here. That would be nice. A museum of his struggles and triumphs of this planet and every planet he'll conquer onward.
Yes, that would be nice.
Little did he know he was being watched from the shadows. "Sienna I've found him, he hasn't noticed me."
"Good what's he doing?"
"He's burning bodies of huntsman." He replied.
"I… I see." Sienna sounded disappointed.
"Should we abandon the mission? Maybe High Leader Ghira was right and we can't invite him in our ranks?"
"Maybe, I'll see him for myself." Sienna stated. "Just keep your eyes on him, I'll talk with this boy."
"Yes ma'am." He watched in silence as Kron watched the bodies burn. This boy seemed to be the definition of the word monster.
Sienna didn't like hearing the actions of their potential new recruit. This boy was definitely not normal, she hoped that he was only doing whatever Raven forced him to do, but he was still killing even on his own. That's disappointing but still, he is a child. Maybe that's all he was raised to do.
A member of the White Fang came to her. "With all due respect ma'am, perhaps we should abandon this pursuit, if he joins the White Fang's reputation may not recover from whatever he does, and who's to say he won't become our enemy."
"Time's are changing." Sienna replied. "The time is coming when the White Fang will need strength to make the necessary change no matter what Ghira says."
"Besides he still is a child and those huntsmen were likely trying to interrogate him on Raven's whereabouts or kill him for being a Faunus and potentially dangerous." She reasoned. "I'll see him for myself and judge whether he can join or not."
The member was still unsure at this. "And if Ghira opposes him joining?"
She looked at the recruit and eyed him dangerously. "He won't need to know, after all we are guilty of helping Adam on his more violent approach aren't we."
The recruit nodded knowing not to question her from here on out.
"Besides, once we have him by our side who knows what we'll be able to accomplish." Sienna reasoned, she saw the boy fly in addition to the destructive light semblance that was reported.
He must join the White Fang, no matter the cost for the good of all Faunus.
"Achoo!" Kron sneezed in a cave he found not far from the incinerated bodies.
The child put the wand and the broken chain dagger of his precious oppenents.
Fighting multiple opponents at once will be challenging, he'll need to create a new technique, Beringer Burst on it's own won't cut it.
He remembered Raven saying "you can use these parlor tricks to do amazing things." he took those words to heart and was able to create his Beringer Burst, better control his flying, and better understanding of the limits of Ki he can use.
"I guess I can try to create a new technique with my juggling?" He asked himself, he looked down at the weapons and ID's of the huntsmen he created. He hoped to make a vast collection of them, but he was going to need new techniques to do it.
"I'll figure out in the morning." He was getting sleepy and so lied down in the dirt.
He'll need to remind himself to hide his tail from sight from now on, he doesn't need anymore nusciances stalking him.
Little did he know he's already painted a target on his back.
Remember any OC I create besides Kron mainly exist as obstacles for him and possibly inspire him to create new techniques or just show that he is still not ready for mass genocide yet and a capable huntsman can still end him.
Lec and Orchid were names I picked up from a RWBY Name generator if you guys want to know.
And RWBY doens't have the biggest character roster like One Piece or Naruto and I'm not gonna murder any the cast before I can use them.
Feel free to give me OC ideas for Kron to kill on his way. Can be good or bad, doesn't matter for a while.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter and don't worry we'll be reachin the next timeskip soon, I'm just giving him time to explore before meeting characters we all care about.
Arkamos: Thank you.
Interesting thoughts about the White Fang. Though Kron is enjoying his indepence if he does join the White Fang it won't be a while. Yeah he makes Adam look like a saint.
Your right, he's going to fight and learn and make new techniques during or after battle. But he's not going on a rampage, he doesn't the world after him just yet. I know Hyourinjutsu, I love all his videos. I will defeinitely take some inspiriation from his videos into his tecnhiques, thank you for the recomending.
Hope you'll enjoy the story! :)
God Light: Thank you!
Spiderboy2004: Goku as a child was beaten to near death multiple times and Zenkai's alone didn't seem to do much, so his Zenkai's were probably small, which is why Kron's are as well. I explain it more in Ch 4 at the end if you want a bigger explanation.
Power Scale: Kron is basically what I would imagine any saiyan child to be and as a guest kindly put it. Saiyans serving under Frieza were far from honorable.
He's going to change, I should probably change the summary. Yes he did murder I couldn't just have him not try to do his mission it would be too convienient. Also he was intending to betray her first, but he wasn't fond of the idea before Raven tried to end him.
Yes he is going to get strong but his progress will be slower than Goku's because Kron will not have as many teachers and resources. For the most part he's on his own. Plus he's enjoying learning about Remnant so it can impede his progress.
He's not a wanted criminal only rumors spread about a monkey faunus firing lazers. The point of joining the Branwen Tribe was so he could fight in Raven's shadow and grow stronger to get ready for the mission. It sort of worked, he's free to go around as long as he hides his tail and doesn't show off his Ki blasts around Anima, if he lays low for a while and leaves the continent he's good.
So Kron will change for the better later on but I won't magically turn him good, I'm going to build up to that. Unfortunately his kill count isn't over and not all of them will be evil.
projectshadow06- I'm glad you like him so far. If you want to read another story that doesn't have a Goku Clone, I reccomend "Boy With the Monkey Tail"by Vinglot the Sky Ship his OC Mato is like a mix between Gula and Kron. In it for himself like Kron but uninterested in murder like Gula. I hope I can keep Kron entertaining enough for you.
Depends on how strong Kron would be and if he keeps his personality. The only reason he wouldn't right now is because Raven can portal to them if they need help and is still strong enough to end him. Though don't know if she would help Qrow though since he abandoned the tribe. (Hipocracy right there. Lol)
Hopefully Kron will change by the time he meets one of them, luckily she didn't really share her personal life.
Alright guys hope you enjoyed, remember check my profile to see progress on my next chapter. Feel free to PM me for ideas or if you just want to talk. Leave a review and tell me if you liked or hate what I have so far. I like knowing what you think and what I can improve.
