Alright, I did it, I kept my promise every two weeks.

This is another long one everybody hopes u can enjoy!

Like Family

Kron thought that the mother and daughter were a pair of nobodies.

But when he was brought to their home he discovered he was wrong. Their house was gigantic, the biggest on the island in fact, he couldn't help but stop and stare at the giant home. It was the nicest on the planet he's seen or been close to.

He must've been staring for a while because he heard a giggle, he turned to see the woman Kali covering her mouth. He glared at her feeling a bit embarrassed.

Kali sees that but didn't say anything. "Come on, you must be starving now right?'

Oh right, the very reason he was here. He placed a hand on his stomach, he really needed food right now. As he followed them inside he caught a glimpse of the little brat his age staring at him for a few seconds before clinging to her mother. Are all brats like that? Even the weakest children on Planet Vegeta didn't cling to their parents for protection from someone they don't know. Then again, it's likely because these people have not evolved into a warrior race that might be because their parents would either get embarrassed and beat the kid for showing weakness or they knew their parents would let them die if they were too weak. He certainly never clung to his mother when her squadmates came to his home to celebrate a successful mission.

Once inside Kali put her hand on her daughter's head. "Blake, why don't you show him around while I prepare dinner ok?"

Blake looked at Kron for a couple of seconds and back up to her mom.

"Come on he won't bite," Kali said gently while patting her head.

Kron rolled his eyes, he wanted to do worse than that since he met either of them.

"Ok," Blake said as she finally let go of her mother's dress. She watched her leave for what Kron assumes is the kitchen. The cat Faunus turned to Kron but didn't really meet eye contact. "Um, here" The girl walked ahead of the Saiyan probably an excuse not to be stared at.

Kron sighed, he had to think of the food. He was starving, injured, he should just get what food he can then leave and get some rest. He doesn't have to deal with this girl's weakness or that woman mocking him. He followed her around the house, the whole time he wasn't really listening, he was focused on his nose. He can smell the food being prepared, he would've told her that he can eat it raw but he didn't want to risk being kicked out of a free meal and didn't want to risk it in his sorry state.

"So that's everything," Blake said looking away from the boy.

Kron just realized she was still here and nodded. He really didn't pay attention to anything she said, he only followed her around and had his thoughts on food.

"Are you new here?"

He didn't say anything as his thoughts went back to the food.

"Hey" She waved in front of the boy's face.

Kron growled and attempted to swat her hand away but growled as he felt pain from simply lifting his arm. This got attention from the annoying little black cat, not willing to act weak he merly replied. "What?"

"I asked if you were new." She said, sounding less shy and more annoyed. Guess he was too busy thinking of food.

He was brought out of his thoughts again and looked down at his bandaged torso and arms. "Yes," He said very agitated.

"I thought so, I never seen you before and you didn't know who my mom is."

Kron didn't say anything but realized that since this was the biggest home on the island and it was pretty much in the center he should know these people. Curious he decided to ask. "Who are your family and why do you have uch a big home?"

"It's because my dad is the chieftain, he's in charge of the whole island."

Another chief? 'Wonder if he would be anything like Raven.' He thought since if he was a leader he would have to be strong and something to fear. Though meeting his wife and child seemed to hint that he was the opposite, after all Raven was never would never let him be like this brat. Which reminds him.

"Where is your father?"

"He's in Anima with the White Fang."

Kron's eyes widened. "Wait, wait" He looked around. "Your father is in the White Fang?"

Blake looked at him strangely. "He's the high leader, have you been living in the woods?" She had no idea how right she was. Blake was wondering how a Faunus didn't know anything about her father, every Faunus alive should know his name.

But Kron wasn't focusing on that. He's in the home of the leader of the White Fang? Well, that's not good, if he's stronger than Sienna which is likely and he is still recovering then he's dead. Damn, maybe staying around here wouldn't be a good idea who knows when he'd be here. He should probably just eat their food and leave.

"Kids, dinner's ready."

Kron's ears perked up and he turned to speed walk away ignoring the pain in his body and listening to his stomach and no longer caring for the looming threat of the girl's father.

"Wait for me!" Blake yelled from behind but he didn't care. Now was the time for food.

When the boy got to the table he saw a big slice of fish on a plate.

"Eat as much as you want," Kali said smiling.

And Kron did so, he ate his piece of fish and the one on a plate next to his own.

Blake got to the table and sees that her plate was empty, she turned to their visitor who was gnawing on it. "Hey!"

Kron turned to her with the fish in his mouth and just kept chewing.

"Excuse me?"

The boy turned to the woman who had a glare. "That was very rude of you."

Kron tried to talk but still had fish in his mouth. "Ou aid I ca et a uh a I wan"

"And don't talk with your mouth full!" She said very sternly.

Ugh it's like Raven all over again. He swallowed the food and looked at her, she still glared at him. "You said to eat as much as I want."

"Yes, but not someone else's I have plenty more." She pulled the pot next to her and replaced Blake's fish and put it back.

Kron reached for the pot hoping to get more only for Kali to swat it away, he growled and glared at her. When he was at 100% she was going to regret it.

Kali only had a disappointed face, she crossed her arms. "You can have more if you apologize."

Apologize? To this weak little thing? No, it's her fault for not getting here fast enough why should he apologize when he's the one that got here first and was injured. She should've been able to get here first! "N-!"

Before he could finish his sentence his stomach growled still causing a giggle from Kali and even one from the little brat. He grabbed his stomach and attempted to reach for the pot only for Kali to pull the pot away from him. He glared at her but she tilted her head to Blake. With a heavy sigh, he turned to Blake who had been nibbling on a piece of fish.

"Sorry" Every part of him wanted to vomit as he uttered the word.

Blake didn't like how it sounded but she nodded, she was trying not to giggle. "It's ok."

Kali thought that apology wasn't honest but let it slide since he was only Blake's age and from the sound of his stomach he was starving. She opened the pot and put two large slices of fish for the boy. She watched him eat vigorously, she didn't think a monkey Faunus could enjoy this much fish, she wondered how long did he go without food. She decided that she needed to find out more about the boy.

"So Kron" Kali began, she sees he's still eating but continues. "Where are those injuries from."

Wanting to have more food he swallowed and replied. "I fought an Ursa."

No one said anything for a few seconds, Blake looked at him weirdly.

"You fought an Ursa?" Kali said not believing it.

"An alpha Ursa," Kron said, he smirked it wasn't often he got to brag about his feats. "I killed it but not before it crushed my bones." He explained.

That part Kali didn't believe, someone so young killing an Ursa sounds unbelievable but not impossible, Sienna's protege Adam was able to kill an Ursa the same age but an alpha would be impossible for even experienced huntsman. Hell, she wouldn't let her husband fight one alone. Though he is just a child, he's likely just exaggerating. She shook her disbelief as he reached for more fish. She got another one on his plate.

Kali decided to push that matter aside and ask something that needed to be addressed. "And, where where are your parents?"

Kron had his mouth full again and began talking. "har awa"

Her cat ears twicthed in annoyance. "Mouth full." She said sternly.

The child rolled his eyes and swallowed. "Far away." He said simply not sure what else to say. How else do you say there far away on another planet to a primitive species?

Kali was saddened hearing that, he sounded very indifferent like he didn't care. Did the parents abandon him and left him to fend for himself? She wanted to ask further but thought that it might make him more bitter and less willing to talk than he already is.

"Where did you get those bandages?" She asked.

He swallowed another piece of meat he was annoyed he just wanted to eat. "I was dropped off at a hospital by someone."

"Who?"

He was about to answer but thought about it. Raven is a pretty known criminal in Anima, and Menagerie isn't too far away and he might not get the best response. "I don't know, I was on an island not too far from here then I woke up in the hospital." He hoped that would be the end of it as he put another chunk of fish in his mouth.

Kali looked at the boy strangely, some anonymous person just took a boy here to Menagerie and left him to heal. She supposed it could've been some kindhearted huntsman. As he devoured his meal next to a disgusted Blake. "Kron, why aren't you at the hospital when you have not healed yet?"

This time Kron remembered to swallow his food. "Because I hate it, I don't like being stuck in some boring room." He really didn't want to be trapped again, he will murder anybody that tries to make him stay put in one room again cage, cell, hospital room or otherwise.

Kali looked at the boy full of concern. "Well after dinner I have to take you to the hospital."

"No!" He said this time with a tone of panic, he hated himself for using that tone. He remembered the White Fang trapping him in that room, he knew it wasn't the same but still, the idea of being stuck in one room made him want to avoid it no matter what the circumstance. "I won't go back."

Kali could hear the fear in his voice and frown. Poor thing must have a fear of being trapped. "Listen, those injuries aren't normal, I have to call the hospital." She sees him glare at her, she rose a hand. "We need to make sure you don't need anything else from the doctors, you want to heal don't you?" Kali notices that he looked away, his glare started to leave, she wonders if Adam was ever this angry. "But I'll see if we can do anything else for you ok?" Kali offered with a smile.

He wanted to argue more but was still too hungry. He put more fish in his mouth and focused on the meal, if he has to go back to the hospital he'll just escape as quickly as possible.

For the rest of the dinner Kron devoured most of Kali and Blake's catch of the day in one sitting. The mother and daughter looked at him happily eat it like it was a lite snack and he just sighed happily, the first time they have seen him smile.

Blake glared at him for being so greedy and eating more than half of the fish they caught.

Kali laughed nervously looks like she'll have to catch more fish tomorrow. More if she wants to help the child. Kali took out her scroll and looked at the children. "I'm going to make a call ok?"

Blake nodded while Kron just burped loudly. The catgirl glared at the boy and her ears flattened, how can a guest be so gross and rude?

Kali's ears flattened as well. She was going to do something about those manners later.

While the mother made the call Kron reached to the pot for more fish.

"You're still going to eat?" Blake yelled in Kron's face.

Kron rolled his eyes and looked at her. "Duh," He was so annoyed by her now that she started talking.

"It was supposed to last us a whole week you can't just eat all of it like a pig!"

He rolled his eyes grabbed a fish and was about to put it in his mouth but the girl was able to swipe it from him. He growled and looked at her putting the fish back. "What's the problem she said I can eat as much as I want!"

"She didn't mean everything, you're being selfish!" Blake yelled back at him.

Kron growled at her if his arm would heal right now he'd shut her up. Instead, he stood up and glared down at her. "What will you do if I eat anyway?"

"I'll tell my friend, Adam, that you're stealing our food!"

That name sounded familiar but he couldn't think of where he heard that name before, but he chuckled, thinking how idiotic this girl was for threatening him with some no name he never heard of before.

"Don't laugh he was trained by Sienna Khan, a high-ranking member of the White Fang."

He stopped chuckling and started laughing harder, she had no idea how funny it was that she thought that would scare him. He surpassed Sienna weeks ago so he was leagues ahead of whoever this Adam guy is.

"What's so funny?" Blake glared, her cat ears became flat again.

The Saiyan started to control himself. "Oh no, forgive me, please don't send Sienna's pet after me!" He yelled sarcastically and began to laugh again. He wanted to tell her he's beaten Sienna a while back, but he was too worried about losing some benefits.

Blake didn't like that he was making fun of her friend that he's never met before. She threw a punch at his injured arm.

Kron yelled, he was so damn delicate right now. "You little-!"

"Ahem"

The girl and boy turned to see Kali now looking at them. Blake got up and ran behind her, she clung to her dress and stuck her tongue at him.

Kron squeezed his fists, little brat clinging to her mother.

Kali sighed, she didn't know if she wanted to do this anymore. But given the situation, she would feel awful if she didn't at least try. "Kron I have good news, your injuries are serious but you don't need to stay in the hospital." She explained.

Blake looked at her mother and gave a pleading look that practically said 'don't say it' multiple times.

Kali did feel a little bad for her daughter but it's not like she and her friend Adam got along when they first met either and Kron has no family or at least isn't willing to share that family. "Kron, all you have to do is avoid doing anything extreme for a few weeks, maybe a month, so would you like to stay here at least until your injuries are gone?"

Kron was surprised hearing that, he thought he'd just be getting food, but a bed and roof over his head? This lady was practically begging to be useful to him. He didn't like the idea of sharing a temporary home with her or her brat but it would be nice to have a place to sleep while healing, and he'd be ok to wander around instead of being confined to one room. But then the thought of the girl's father saw him, he likely wouldn't be happy to see him. "Would her dad be ok with it?" He tried to sound polite only to get some information out of her.

"He would beside's he's going to be gone for a couple of weeks, I'll let him know you're here once I'm able to get a hold of him, but the man has been busy in Anima for a while, he doesn't even have time to answer his scroll."

So he wouldn't know he's staying at his house, ok, that problem is sort of solved. Looks like there are more benefits than risk so far. 'Also' He looked at the girl who gave him a look telling him she was worried. Well annoying her was just a bonus. "Ok"

Blake internally screamed at that.

"Great, I'll show you to your guest room."

"But mom!" Blake yelled. "He's a bully, he ate more than half our fish and he just made fun of my friend Adam!"

Kron rolled his eyes, pathetic little thing.

"Now Blake, it's just for a little while ok?" She then looked over at Kron. "And you, if you don't want to go back to the hospital please try to be nice ok?"

That sounded annoying but the offer was too good to pass up. "Alright," He tried to have a respectful tone as Raven taught him when they talked about something serious.

"Good, now come along."

Kron got up and followed Kali, he looked back at Blake who glared at him. He only gave a condescending smirk, just knowing his presence annoyed her made him more than happy to stay for a while.

Kali opened a door to a large nice-looking room, it wasn't too luxurious, it just had a bed and a desk but it was large, way more room than either his tent in the Branwen Tribe or the White Fang cell. "This'll be your room, you can leave to wander the house anytime before dark." She said remembering he didn't like to be trapped. "But when you want to eat you need to ask me, is that ok?" She may be willing to house and feed him but she wasn't just going to let him eat all their food whenever he wanted.

He didn't like that last part of the deal but decided to go along with it. It was much better than staying in a room for a month. He merely nodded.

"Do you need help getting to bed?" She asked nicely aware of his injuries

He growled in response. "No"

She giggled, such a stubborn child. "Ok well, your room is next to Blake's mine is across the hall, feel free to come to me if you need anything ok?"

Kron nodded as she left him alone. The boy walked over to the bed and looked out the window. A month of this? Well, could be worse. The boy went to bed and nodded off to sleep wondering what tomorrow would bring.

Far away.

In an land with a dark red sky, Grimm ran wild pools of black liquid sat. There rested a dark castle.

Inside this castle there was a woman sitting in a throne. She had pale skin, veins coursing threw her face, white hair tied neatly. This was Salem, one of the two magic users left on Remnant.

Salem watched a recording of Hazel fighting the child. Flying, shooting projectiles similar to some of her magic. Though it could be some rare semblance Hazel reported that his scroll did not detect any Aura meter on him. Tyrian was right that the boy wielded no Aura, this power was something new.

Aura was a very useful ability used by mankind, nothing compared to the magic used in her and Ozma's era. But still, it was able to help mankind fend of Grimm for a millennium. It increased certain attributes dependand on the individual be it their strength, speed, and defesne. It also made them aware of their surroundings, shielded them from damage, protected them from the environment, gave them a sense of everything around them. And then there was the semblance of unique powers depending on the individual.

This child's power however provided him with increased strength, speed, and durability all at once, on top of that projectiles and flight. Abilities more impressive and versatile than any semblacne she's seen, so powerful at such a young age.

In the past she experimented with her pawns Aura, trying to have her have them learn how to utilize it more efficiently in every possible way. Flight, projectiles, spells etc., basically abilities similar to a maiden or her own. Unfortunately, no matter what method she tried she simply could not train anyone to use their Aura that way, when she pushed them to the fullest extent of their abilities they would usually die. Oh, how she wasted her pawns while learning the limitations of Aura. They can increase the amount of Aura they have to make their semblances stronger, but it was such a grueling task and impractical. The best choice was to have them learn to use what they have more efficiently.

No doubt Ozma, during his many reincarnations over the eons had also tried pushing Aura to the limit in every new body in n a vain attempt to hold her off. . No matter how much he can push his Aura it would never match her power as she's proven plenty of times.

In other words, if Aura can do what this boy demonstrated then either she or Ozma would have found out by now and exploited it for their respective causes.

Whatever power this boy had simply gave him more abilities than what Aura can provide. Aside from a semblance perhaps. And if he has this power at this age, imagine his abilities later on in life.

She looked down into the seer with a smile on her face. "Such an interesting child."

This boy will be difficult no doubt. But in time he will learn to submit, to put her desires before his own, as her group does and be one of her most valuable pawns.

And in time she will discover his ability, either learn it herself or find a way to extract it like a Maiden. Ozma, Maidens or not will be reduced to nothing.

Salem placed a hand on the Seer displaying the child's face. "This boy will be a very useful tool."

Though first, she'll need to gather more resources, she'll be contacting Watts and Hazel.

Days later.

Kron was outside in the large backyard of the Belladonna household, he had a black shirt and pants. He lifted his arm which is covered in bandages. He remembered that day against the Alpha Ursa. He created a new technique on the spot, blood red energy binded at his arm and enforced it to pierce it's strong armor.

He wanted to repeat that only this time avoid a certain side effect. Putting holes in his damn arm. He knew it would be safe if he didn't actually use it to perice anything, he just wanted to see if he can perform it. Red energy surrounded the arm just like last time, it was shapeless and he can tell it had decent power. But it was a double edge sword if he were to use it now he might actually destroy his arm since it's still recovering. He thought of naming it but first he'll need to see if he can turn into something useful. From the looks of it the Ki around his arm is volatile, it exploded and ruined his arm the first time. So the issue should be to condense it give it shape. He closed his thinking what should he try to form it into. He smiled when he realized what he wanted, he began to concentrate and form the attack. Slwoly it was becoming solid and taking shape, it looked like a-.

"What's that?"

That made Kron startle lose focus and his Ki surrounded his arm vanished. He groaned that took a lot of effort, he turned around to the source of his annoyance. And as expected from the voice it was Blake. "It was my semblance, now get lost." He said trying to refocus his power.

Blake was annoyed hearing that but didn't let that bother like her mother told her. She decided to focus on the power he displayed. "That's your semblance? Light?"

Kron rolled his eyes. "No it's not just light." He looked at a rock and aimed his hand. Normally he wouldn't need to struggle but his injuries made it a real chore to demonstrate. With a lot of grunting and focus his hand showed a red Ki blast.

Blake looked at it, she didn't know what it was but looking at it she realized that it wasn't just a night light.

With a grunt the boy fired the Ki blast at the rock, it hit causing a small red explosion and a thin layer of smoke

The girl looked suprised, she didn't think it was some sort of explosive projectile semblance, it looked really strong, she sees the rock was split in two just from that attack.

Kron wasn't too happy with the result, the boulder should've turned to dust. He really was weakened right now, he tilted his head to see the cat girl looked impressed. The boy had a smirk, it wasn't often that he got to show off to others and it felt good.

Blake looked at the boy who had a smirk, she was annoyed by it but she didn't care. "Y-you really did kill ursa huh?"

He felt his ego swell from hearing her impressed tone. "I said I did and I told you it was an Alpha."

The little girl was impressed by his semblance but shook her head. "No, it wasn't."

Kron growled "Yes it was." He didn't know why but he wanted her to know his brag was true.

Blake rolled her eyes and didn't comment on that instead she wanted to focus on something more important. "If your that strong you should join the White Fang."

He chuckled, he didn't he'd hear this again. "Not happening."

The cat girl was shocked hearing the quick dissmissal of the White Fang, sure he was a pain but she didn't think he'd be willing to think about it.

Without a word or even a glance he tried to focus on his training, unfortanately this thorn in his side was still there.

"Why not?" Blake asked. "All Faunus should help to fight for equal rights, how else are we going to be treated fairly?"

Kron growled and turned to her. "Fight?" He gave a louf laugh which annoyed the little girl. "Oh you mean go out with signs begging 'please be nice' at Atlas." He remembered reading about the conditions the Faunus workers go through as well as the discrimination around the world. "You really need to rethink what fighting means. I don't know why you'd expect a warrior to join that group of beggars."

Blake really wasn't liking hearing him talk bad about the organization her father lead. She continued trying to explain what he can do for them. "You can protect the protesters and help the humans against Grimm, show them that Faunus deserve equal rights."

"Pfft, I'm not going to bodyguard a bunch of weaklings who can't fight for themselves when the answer is obvious." He told her with irritation.

The girl was getting more and more mad at him. "Well what are we supposed to do?"

He's being asked that? Well that's a first. He turned to her. "Just beat them up, force them to submit to your demands."

Blake wasn't suprised hearing that. "That's just being a bully, we shouldn't have to hurt anyone to get what we need."

"Well it's the best way to do it, it only makes sesne for the strongest to be treated with nothing but respect." Kron said and he meant it to. On Planet Vegeta there were no protests for 'fairness' because their government was very straight forward. If you were strong you'd be given more opprotunities, planet's to conquor and what not. If you were weak you'd better be useful. Of course he was on the weak side of the spectrum, but he understood why, he was simply weak. And that's why he was here. He wasn't begging to be treated like a Saiyan Warrior he was fighting to be a Saiyan Warrior. Of course even if he suceeds then he will still be considered weak and expected to obey.

That last bit soured his mood even more so.

"Get lost and let me train."

Blake glared at him, she was upset that he casually made the White Fang seem pointless. She ran back inside intent on sending the one person that can get back at him for this.

Kron continued to train in peace he rose his arm up intent on repeating his unnamed attack, now he'll be able to-

Pull!

Kron yelled in pain as his ear was being pulled.

"What do you think you're doing?" A woman's voice asked sternly.

Kron stopped doing his attack and reached to grab the woman's hand but couldn't due to the pain. "K-Kali let go!"

"What did I tell you?"

He groaned, he really hated when she did this. "No training!"

Kali let him go and shook her head as he rubbed his ear. "Why can't you just listen, go to your room right now."

Kron groaned and walked into the house. He sees Blake giggling as he walked into the hall. That made him angry. "You told her?" He demanded.

She shrugged her shoulders. "She said you shouldn't train I had to tell her."

This was her getting back at him for saying the truth. He took a step forward only for Kali to grab his shoulder.

"Room now," Kali demanded.

He walked away while Blake just giggled at him getting in trouble. He growled, the damn cat brat always everytime run and tell to her mother whenever he made her angry instead of fighting him herself.

Kron made it to his room and sat on the bed. Living here wasn't terrible, it was definitely an improvement over the wilds but still he couldn't really do much due to his injuries. He wanted to see if he could repeat the new technique he made against the Ursa but using it hurt his arm. It simply wasn't perfected but it will be, it'd be an excellent addition to his arsenal.

Kali entered the room and walked to him. "I told you that you shouldn't be training right now."

Great a lecture, not like he had enough of those.

Kali sat next to him on the bed and looked down on him worriedly. "Kron, don't you want to get better?"

Of course, he did he just wanted to perfect his fighting ability. "I'm not doing anything dangerous."

"Even so you'll be recovering even longer, you might end up bedridden for a long time, do you understand that?"

He squeezed his fists and sighed. "Yes"

Kali then ruffled his head. "So do you know what you should do?"

He didn't answer which meant that he knew but he didn't want to answer.

Something Kali picked up on quick enough in the few days he's been here.

"Good," She said. "Now, I'm going out with Blake for a while, be good and I'll get you that text you've been wanting."

A history book sounded like a good distraction, he turned to her and nodded his head.

She smiled as she got up and walked away.

Kron watched her leave and sighed. How far has the mighty Saiyan fallen to be so dependent on this family. Hopefully he'll heal sooner than expected and he can just leave and never look back. Though despite that he was actually learning how to get used to life here. The girl Blake was annoying and answering to Kali felt degrading but compared to Raven and his own mother it was less so. This home was large and gave him plenty of room to walk around. If he didn't know better he'd say this is the best place he's been staying at.

For the love of the Legendary Super Saiyan, he hated how Kali was always right about how he needed to heal. It's almost like Raven again, only not so condescending.

"You look comfortable."

Speak of the devil, he turned his head to see Raven standing with her arms crossed.

"Why are you here?" He asked though it wasn't hostile something Raven took notice of.

The woman shrugged. "I said I'd come to check on you." She looked up and down. "Does it still hurt?"

"Not as much."

She nodded. "You know it would heal faster if you just rest."

Oh great both of them annoyed him with this. We're all women on this planet like this? His own mother made him work regardless of the injuries she caused, she didn't care if he was wounded.

"You know you always had a problem making decisions solely on if youre bored." Raven noted.

So he's been aware of. If he wanted to be a warrior he needed more discipline.

"Come on, I'm here to talk, it'll help you kill some time."

Kron was silent for a few seconds and looked at his bed. "I can't stay."

"Worried about Ghira?"

The Saiyan turned to her.

"Oh please, I know everything about the White Fang, in case they become a potential enemy."

That made sense, she always kept tabs on other bandit tribes, organizations, and whatnot. "You're the reason he hasn't shown up."

"Yes" He sees her looking at him. "He's not dead if that's what your worried about. I've only been running interference, forcing his attention away from home for a while."

Kron didn't say anything for a few moments. "Pft, don't care about that, I'm just wondering why you're going so far for me."

Raven eyed the boy, she kept a serious expression. She didn't want to overplay it. "I want you recovered."

"Tch" Kron rolled his eyes, he knew it was never that simple.

"Do you still not trust me?"

The boy did a look. "Really?"

"I apologized and I already said I regretted what I've done. And I'm making sure you're healed."

"Even if I don't go back to the tribe?"

Raven looked at him seriously and with no hesitation answered. "Yes"

Kron looked at her, he was so confused. He was angry at her for trying to kill him, but since that day she saved him and explained to him what really happened that day he's been more tolerant of her company. Almost like it was back then. "Fine, let's talk"

"So how have you been since you left?" She knew of course but she kept it to herself, there was no need to let him know she's been watching him for a while.

Kron shared a couple of things that happen, from fighting two huntsmans at once, being captured and escaping the White Fang, and finally the fight with Hazel. A fight Raven already knew about, and the reason she had to speed up her plans.

"You've certainly had your fair share of adventures since leaving haven't you."

That was a poor choice of words Raven realized and it got a rise out of Kron. "Since you struck me with lightning, yes."

"Again I'm sorry." She didn't like bringing it up, but she meant to, she wanted to have him ask something.

Sorry that she did it or sorry that it didn't kill him? He wasn't sure about but speaking of he's been wanting to ask this. "What was that anyway?" He asked.

The question she wanted, she kept a straight face. "Don't you think that it was my blade? It happened so quickly."

"You use lightning dust with your blade Omen, this lightning fell from the sky while your weapon was pointed away from me and it struck me right in front of you." He remembered that day like it was yesterday, he replayed it in his mind so many times. "You were unharmed, so it had to have been from you."

Quite the curious boy as usual and it worked out perfectly for her, so far so good, but she couldn't quite reveal it just yet. "How do you know it wasn't Vernal or another tribe member's weapon?"

"Pfft, no one in the tribe has that kinda weapon, or semblance and besides I saw a weird red flame coming from your eye when I broke your mask."

She wouldn't admit it but it felt nice that he said the tribe, not just her tribe. And she was impressed how much he remembered the few seconds of that day when it was a month ago.

"You have such a great memory." She flattered.

"Cut the crap and tell me what it was." He demanded. "It doesn't look like it's related to your semblance and I have never seen anyone with that flaming eye thing." He thought it was some sort of power u can do with Aura but if that were the case he would've heard of it with all the studying and research on Aura he's done.

Looks like she offended him again, she preferred to stay on his good side."I'm sorry" She meant it. "Look I want to tell you but if you really want to know you'll have to tell me something."

Kron looked at her weirdly. "What's that?"

It's funny he sounded almost genuine like he hadn't been hiding anything from her. Perhaps he thought there was no chance she could know but there was.

"Can you use your semblance right now?"

That question came out of nowhere. Why would she ask that, he sees that she's waiting for an answer begrudgingly he provided one. "Barely"

"Show me"

Kron felt weird hearing this and struggled to lift a finger, he concentrated Ki into his finger showing a small ball. He wasn't sure where she was going with this. Then he sees her holding her scroll for some reason. He knows that scrolls were used for communicating but he didn't know what else. It was a useless trinket in his eyes, he didn't bother learning too much about them.

The Bandit was about to prove him wrong. "The thing is Kron, huntsmen have special that scrolls are designed to detect Aura." She showed him a screen with his picture along with a bar that was empty.

Kron's eyes widened, he was found out? He knew their ways to detect Aura but he didn't think one of them was with their scrolls. The light on his finger vanished and he growled, he was outsmarted so easily.

Raven hid her amusement, she thought he was unaware of his unique power but seeing that face shows that he was hiding it on purpose and wanted her to remain in the dark about what kinda power it was. At least now she figured out what exactly he was hiding she can always tell when people keep secrets from her, she learned that from her days as one of Ozpin's puppets.

"I've known that what you have isn't Aura for some time Kron ever since your first day in the tribe."

For that long? Kron just couldn't believe it, he thought only stadiums or some sort of device like a scouter could detect Aura, he didn't think that Raven would have something like this. "Why didn't you say anything?" Knowing her that would be something she would demand to know.

"I wanted you to tell me if you were aware." She looked down for a few minutes. "But as you saw, you weren't the only one with secrets." Her eyes glowed red, like fire showing her own unique power.

Kron sees the eyes flare with power, he doubted it would mean much to even the weakest Saiyans back home but he knew that there was a power that was considered in high regard on this planet. And he wanted to fight it, wanted to test himself against her power again.

Raven noticed this, she can see the desire for combat in his eyes. He's still the same power-hungry boy. "Now Kron, I request a trade, you tell me what your power is and I'll tell you mine." She offered.

The Saiyan heard the offer and he couldn't believe it but he might be considering it. If her power was considered a secret then she would have all the more reason to keep his power secret. Also, the fact she wasn't forcing him to do it made him actually feel it was fairer to trade secrets. Plus telling her about his power wouldn't do much, she would know what it was fundamentally but not the knowledge. Part of him really didn't want her to know though considering their history. But again it would be nice to know this power.

"Come on" Raven urged. "After everything do you still not trust me?"

Kron looked at her for a few seconds, this would be the dumbest thing he would ever do. He wanted to know what that power was, how it stands in this world, and if there are others who have this power. But he couldn't bring himself to tell her. There was something off about her, something in his gut told him to keep his mouth shut.

Raven didn't say anything she just watched the boy in silence for a few seconds. "I get it, I'm sorry for rushing." She said with a smile. "Though you do understand that I will keep my power a secret to right? After it's only fair."

The Saiyan looked at her with a frown. He only nodded.

The bandit nodded and did something she hadn't done in a long time. She ruffled his hair just like the old days.

And the boy used to hate it, but for some reason, it didn't feel so bad. He didn't say anything until she was done.

Raven turned and cut open a portal. She turned her head. "Oh and listen to what Kali, you won't heal if u keep training."

Kron groaned, now she was sounding like a regular mother. He turned his head and nodded.

"And remember however this ends" She smiled at him. "We're family Kron."

Family. That word again.

The Saiyan only nodded.

Finally, the woman walked into the portal and it closed behind her.

He stared at the spot she walked in, he couldn't help but think of that word Raven was so fond of using. Family. Before it disgusted but now, he felt strange about it.

Later that day Kron stayed in his room. That talk with Raven made the boy think. Why did he want to reveal everything? Why was he thinking about revealing his power that he worked hard to hide for years? Was it because he feared how she would respond in his weakened state? No. That couldn't be it. He wasn't afraid. He wasn't! He dedicated a whole month to the thought of killing her so why would he?

He recalled the memories with Raven how she helped improve him and had him grow as a warrior, unlike either of his parents. She gave him everything he wanted, strength, skill, and freedom. And she's offered him a place back or to let him go. Does she mean it?

"Kron?"

The boy woke from his stupor and looked towards the door to see Kali standing at the door.

"What?"

"I brought the book you requested." She said as she walked forward, she looked at the label. "The First Faunus of Menagerie, your very bright for your age taking if you take an interest in these history books." She kept walking until she noticed that he had a strange look on his face.

"Thanks," Kron said simply, now hopefully she'll just give him the book and leave.

But to his luck, she didn't.

"What's wrong?" She asked sincerely.

The Saiyan groaned, she's always so nosy.

Kali placed the book on the nightstand next to his bed and sat on a chair.

"Nothing just leave," Kron said in an annoyed tone.

"No, not until you tell me what's wrong."

Kron groaned, did she have a semblance that made her annoying? "I'm fine."

Kali's cat ears flattened on her head and she pulled Kron's cheek.

"Ow, ow ow!" Kron yelled as his cheek was pulled, the cat woman let go. He growled and glared at her. "What was that for!"

"Lying," Kali said simply. "Something has been bothering you for a couple of days now and you won't say it."

The Saiyan growled, this woman was more perceptive than she let on. He looked at her. "If there was why would you want me to say it now?"

Kali looked concerned at him. "I was hoping you'd tell me." She looked at him in the eyes. "Kron, I keep telling you that you can tell me anything."

She sounded so annoying. All this coddling she keeps doing is meant for the weak, yet she's not mocking him for it and isn't aware of the power he has. And here she is helping him recover.

Kali sighed as she stood up. "I'll be here to talk if you want." She started to walk away.

"Why?"

The woman stopped and turned around completely confused. She realized he was opening up and smiled. "Why what?"

Kron growled. Why was he doing this? It wasn't her business and it shouldn't matter. But the question was burning in his mind since he came here and he needed to know. "Why are you helping me?"

Kali tilted her head. "Well you were starving, injured and your parents aren't around, why wouldn't I help you?"

"Tch" Why was he even having this conversation? She's just a tool for him to get better and figure out what to do. But he kept going anyway. "That's a dumb reason, you have to get something out of this."

The Belladonna matriarch was saddened hearing this. It was as if this boy never heard of kindness before, she walked over to his bed and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

He looked up at her with a questioning look.

"Kron, I don't know why you think like this, maybe it's just where you're from." She had no idea how right she was. "You won't even tell me about your parents, but here, it's important we show compassion for one another, I wasn't going to leave you to starve and hurt all alone. Any decent person would want to help you." She bent down so she was eye level with him and offered a smile.

Kron still wasn't satisfied with that answer it didn't make any sense to him.

"I'll go get dinner ready, I'll come to help you when it's ready."

"I don't-"

"You do." She interrupted sternly, she stood up, smiled and walked away.

Kron watched her leave and looked down at his bandaged arms. Her reasoning was dumber than he expected. But still, everything he told him made him ask more questions. Why does he like it when she pays attention to him? Why does he put up with her being annoying?

He thought back to Raven.

She always said that they were like family, she used him and he used her. Both were each other's tools.

That was very similar to his own family dynamic back home. The only difference was his power wasn't of any use and so he had to do chores to earn his keep for Raven she likely treated him like his own mother would've treated him if he was born with more power.

But then she thought of the mother and daughter here.

Kali was stern at times but never seemed to get any sort of benefit from Blake. She's not a servant, potential weapon or anything that would provide her with anything useful.

Raven was different, far more Saiyan-like, she always wants something from everyone she comes across. And any who refuse to benefit her, end up dead. Just like how a Saiyan would respond to those who do not obey.

He squeezed his fists. And she wanted something from him and he had an idea what it was and now that leaves him with a couple questions.

If he refused her offer, would she let him go? And if she wouldn't, would he be strong enough to fight whatever strange power she has? What if the lightning she struck him with was only scratching the surface? And if she would kill him, should he take the deal? Does he have to submit to her in order to survive?

"Tch" Kron hated himself, he felt like he had no choice in what was going to happen.

Alright guys that'll be it for today.

Now before anyone tells me maidens shouldn't be that much of a threat to Kron just hear me out.

Kron doesn't know the limits of a Maiden or all it can do or even what it's called. He just knows that it's a power Raven has that isn't a semblance. He's worried about what he's seen so far was only a fraction of what she's capable of. Basically, he has too many unknowns which is why he's considering taking the deal out of fear of what Raven can do. Kinda like Raven, she's motivated by fear of Salem.

But if u want to find out how this plays out and why just wait till the next chapter and then judge sound good?

Review Responces

G119: Lol glad someone laughed at it. Sadly I'm pretty sure that's the funniest I can get, I wish I was good at writing humor especially since Dragon Ball is comedy and action blended together.

jnautking: Ok, thx for understanding. I thought that's a common use for Ki though, the only time anyone doesn't is when they want to conserve their energy or just let their guard down. Do u mean like make a constant sheild around himself, like a shell for when he fights? Thx though for pointing that out. Hope you're enjoying the story.

Reunion: PM'd u. Thank u for reminding me of that different energy mix in Kenichi I totally forgot about that. That's probably what I'm going to do, have mixing Aura with Ki be dangerous but rewarding later on. Thank u I hope I can keep the story interesting for u.

ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank u, ya glad we stopped it. Ya, I was looking forward to writing their reunion for a while. As u can see he hasn't met Ghira yet, good thing, pretty sure he wouldn't Kron anywhere near his family. Ghira's still in Anima searching for Kron for right now thanks to Raven. Sadly though as always has an ulterior motive.

Ok good, I thought I made her too overlooked lol. Thx. Ok good, I'm glad people saw it, I hope I can commission him myself in the future for this story, there are a few scenes I like to be drawn.

supesguy1: Good to know, she's been doing that since I was a kid so I never questioned it. Don't worry we're not going that again.

Alright guys, I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter and is looking forward to what comes next. And plz let me know of what u think of the current chapter along with your ideas, questions or concerns. I like to know what everyone thinks of my chapters tho. Just saying if u like or dislike the chapter is good enough, though if u do dislike a certain chapter I do ask if u can explain why and maybe I'll fix it if I agree if not I'll explain why I disagree.

Of course u can review how u want I'm just making a simple request.

Have an awesome day! :)
