Ok, so far so good, keeping to my schedule. Hope u guys enjoy.

Far away from any civilization.
An airship was flying over the ocean, inside was the scorpion Faunus Tyrian sitting in the back inspecting his bladed gauntlets.
The one in the pilot seat had a large mustache and a lanky frame. "Are you sure this is the right way?"
"I have tracked this one for a while, our goddess instructed me to know his whereabouts at all times should the day ever come where she would need of him." Tyrian spoke.
The man sighed. "I don't mean to doubt your talents, I just rather be done with this as quickly as possible."
"Why is that Dr. Watts? You should be looking forward to it, you may have a comrade who shares your expertise."
Arthur glanced at him over his shoulder. "First of all my field is in technology he is more into biology, second of all he's more... unpredictable. Like the child, you tried to apprehend."
Tyrian's had a saddened expression. "Must you remind me of my failure?" He remembered the monkey Faunus, he was so difficult, he tried to rescue him and yet he ran off for some vendetta. Were all children like this? Not that it mattered, he knew that in time Salem will find him and once she does, he will become another faithful follower of his grace. And he will be sure to discipline appropriately. He smiled fondly imagining the future adventures he will have with him killing all who get in the way of Salem's goals. Fun times to be had.
Arthur Watts thought of his situation, he knew that Salem can tame their potential new recruit's madness but he was not a fan of going himself even with his companion. This boy that she was after seemed to have made her more proactive. She was taking her time reviewing plans to get the relics, weakening Mistral, and locating the Maidens. Now she is gathering more recruits, which is good, it only speeds his goals, if only she was willing to find this man herself. Not that he would ever voice his complaints to her.
Once he finished his thoughts he sees an island, there it was, it had a couple of radio towers around and he can see many Grimm with glowing crystals over their bone armor.
Tyrian stepped at Arthur's side and looked out the window. "Ah, you see my friend patents is its own reward."
He didn't say anything as he just landed close to one of the towers.
The duo stepped out and was greeted by a couple of Beowolves with glowing green crystals over its body and slim red robots wielding spears.
Tyrian cackled. "Oh, a welcome party."
"No playing around here, please just dispatch of them."
"No promises." He laughed as he charged after the mutated Beowulf, he slashed at its throat. Rather than slit, its throat like it normally would do, the Beowolf's hide was too tough and it growled at the lanky assassin.
Tyrian looked giddy as the beast slashed at his face and made him roll away. His back hit a boulder, he slowly got up. "These things are tougher, the goddess will be so happy to have these at her side!" He jumped away as the beast bit where his head was.
Arthur rolled his eyes at his comrade and looked at the robots going for him. The scientist waved his hand at one of them, it's glowing blue eyes changed to red. And it thrust its spear... at the other robot!
Arthur Watts Semblance: Technomancy, he's able to manipulate technology to do whatever he wants. Though he can only do one at a time and if a machine is large enough he wouldn't be able to control it at all.
The robots attacked each other with their spears and Watts just walked away towards the radio tower.
Tyrian swayed a claw from the mutated Grimm and he plunged his stinger on its chest, he then uppercut with the bladed gauntlet and finally cut its head off. And he walked not far behind the scientist who was tinkering with the radio tower. "What are you trying to do?"
"Trying to connect with our friend so we may speak to him."
Tyrian crossed his arms against a tree already bored out of his mind. Oh the things he does for his goddess.
A polite yet condescending tone came from Watts' scroll. "Hello it's been a while since I had visitors, actually you are the first visitors I've had."
For a moment Watts hesitated, he looked to Tyrian. "Be on the lookout I'll do the talking."
Tyrian nodded and looked around to watch for more mutated Grimm.
Arthur took out the scroll to reveal the face of the man they came to see. He had white hair, a white mustache, and beard, a red cybernetic eye, and was wearing a white lab coat.
"Hello, Dr. Merlot, it's very nice to meet you, my name is-"
"Dr. Watts"
Arthur paused surprised he knew this.
"Oh please, I'm well are of one of the most recognized minds of Atlas, honestly I'm surprised to see you still around I heard you died years ago, then again I myself was rumored to have died in Mountain Glenn." The man chuckled. "My condolences by the way, personally I think your brilliance outshined Dr. Polendia, clearly Ironwood was biased towards him."
The scientist scowled hearing the patronizing tone of his fellow scientist and mentioning the fat bastard that Ironwood favorited, but nonetheless, he kept himself in control. "I am honored that my reputation proceeds me. I had arranged my 'death' because my goals required it as I'm sure you understand."
"Very right you are, great minds think alike." He smiled. "Now tell me what brings you and your compatriot to my island?" Dr. Merlot asked.
"We come representing someone with resources that can benefit you."
"Truly?" The other scientist asked. "And who is this person you speak of?"
Dr. Watts thought of this carefully, Watts may have an appreciation for science like this individual but he was mad. He had to choose his words carefully and not upset him. "They would like to remain anonymous for now that is. I'm sure you understand."
"Hm," Dr. Merlot sounded curious but also cautious. "Well, I'm a bit skeptical, you're asking me to put faith in someone who won't be sure their face, these resources better be extraordinary, what exactly do they have to offer?"
Arthur began to try to persuade him with anything he'd be interested in. "Oh, more technology, my expertise, a limitless supply of test subjects, and a greater understanding of Grimm."
There was silence for a couple of minutes, Arthur checked his scroll to make sure it was still active. The doctor seemed to have frozen, he didn't say anything for a few seconds." Dr. Merlot?" He asked to see if it was working.
It was and the doctor pausing was not a good sign.
"A greater understanding?" Dr. Merlot laughed loudly but there was a tone of anger in it, he then began to speak angrily. "Well, I'm beginning to think you two are not aware of who you're dealing with. I stand at the top of everything there is to know about Grimm, no one understands these marvelous creatures more than I do! I will grant you one chance to rephrase that statement before I sick all my specimens on you!"
Tyrian couldn't help but chuckle, while he knew his neck was on the line it was nice that he himself can test more of these mutated Grimm. He was fine if he and Watts were to die, in time his lady will control these beasts.
Arthur with a level head immediately corrected himself. "What I mean is, we can supply you with more dangerous Grimm than what you have, surely there are Grimm you are unable to experiment on."
"Hmm" Dr. Merlot didn't say anything for a few seconds. "Well, I've created quite wonderous creatures, however, I would like to get my hands on a Nevermore." Those beasts were the most difficult to capture, he had to settle for Grimm without wings which were well and good, still he'd like to create something that can take to the skies.
"That would be no problem."
Dr. Merlot chuckled. "It's that easy? I'd like proof of this."
"We will grant you one, but before we do I have an offer on a perfect target for your new experiment."
"More perfect than you and your deranged friend here?"
Tyrian only chuckled. "Oh, you flatter me."
Watts smiled and continued speaking before they provoked the mad doctor any further. "There is this monkey Faunus boy with a dangerous ability..."
Kron was reading a book in bed still recovering, it had been days since he talked with Raven about his and her power. He decided to take her and Kali's advice to just take it easy, no training just rest until his body was recovered. It was boring at first but Kali giving him books and his interest in history made it easier to stay in the room.
He read the book 'First Faunus of Menagarie', it was alright, it explained how this island was given to them to make up for the Faunus Wars, and it was a struggle to turn it into the tropical paradise it is today. It was satisfying to know the place's history, basically, this island was meant as an apology, he wondered why this place was
He also asked for a book on the one thing that started this whole mess. A book on the moon. Yes, the moon is the reason he is where he is now, if he had the moon he would've slaughtered so many by now, he wouldn't have needed Raven and have used the mighty Great Ape form to slaughter village to village. The PTO planet listed Earth to have a once-a-month lunar cycle with a fully intact moon and it made him curious what exactly happened to it, he figured it had to have been recent considering the PTO was very thorough in its targeted planets.
But to his surprise the book described that the moon has always been shaped like this, it was always broken. But that didn't make any sense, the Frieza Force always made sure to have accurate data on planets to conquer, what gravity, size of the planet, average to highest power levels, and of course the condition of the moon to know if Saiyans can rely on the Oozaru. Then again the Frieza Force didn't exactly favor Saiyans, no matter how much of an asset they were.
'The ship had to have taken me to the right planet so why-'
He was interrupted by a knock on the door. "Kron are you awake?"
"And there goes my train of thought." He closed the book and put it on his bedside. "Yes"
Kali opened the door with a friendly smile, he still found it annoying but now it felt calming. And he hated that it did. "Good morning Kron."
After many lectures on 'manner's he returned the sentiment so he wouldn't annoy her. "Morning Kali"
She walked forward still smiling. "How are you today? Can you move better?"
Kron looked at her for a few seconds and rose his arms, he flinched, it still hurt to move the arms but it was nothing compared to a couple of days ago. "Yes"
"Great" She held out her hand.
The boy hesitated, he always did, it was embarrassing but he knew he needed the help. And also the cat woman would get angry at him if he didn't and it was very annoying. He took her hand and with some effort, he was able to stand, much better than before.
"Good, you look much better now." Kali smiled glad that the boy's health was improving. "See? You're getting better now. Do understand now why I told you not to train?"
"Tch" He didn't answer, she took it for what it was. He knew the answer but hated it.
Kali stepped away and smiled. "Now that you're better how would you like to get out of the house for a while?"
Kron rose an eyebrow. "Say what?"
"I'm sure you tired of spending days trapped in this room, you haven't really seen much of the island, Blake and I are going fishing and we thought you'd want to join."
The Saiyan was silent for a bit. "Didn't you tell me over and over to rest more?"
"Yes, but your health has improved and the doctor informed me that you need to walk around to make sure you can move correctly once you recovered." She explained.
Kron mulled it over for a few seconds. Well, he didn't really have much to do except continue studying the moon, and as intriguing as he found it he was tired of being in this house and while fishing isn't exactly training it would be nice to actually see the island. "Blake didn't really want me to join did she?"
Kali knew the answer he wanted to hear. "Well, I may have convinced her to ask you to join us."
Kron smiled. "Sure"
The matriarch couldn't help but chuckle, it was almost like she imagined having more than one child. Times like this made Kron seem like a normal child.
Kron walked through the island next to Kali while Blake was on the mother's other side the whole time he looked around the island, it truly was a paradise. In the book, he read it started out as a dump but all the trading and hard work truly turned it into something resembling a resort.
Blake looked over at Kron, she found it odd how he was just looking around.
The trio made it to a beach.
Kali looked at Kron. "Alright, Kron you can walk around the beach for a bit."
"I thought I'd help fish." He whined, it's been too long since he killed wildlife.
She patted his hair. "Kron, you can't do anything too physical remember? You'll need to just walk around."
Kron groaned.
Blake gave a smirk glad that she wouldn't have to swim with them.
"Oh, and Blake will keep you company."
The catgirl was surprised. "But mom!
"I need you to watch him and yell in case he does something like training."
"I don't need a babysitter," Kron growled which Kali found cute to be honest.
Kali put her hands on their heads. "Look you two, it's been more than a week and you two need to try to get along. Ok?"
Kron didn't want to but he knew that if he didn't he'd get another lecture. He glanced to Blake who looked like she wasn't a fan of this either, she glared at him for a second but nodded. With a grunt, he looked at Kali and he nodded to.
"Alright you to stay on the beach where I can see you," Kali instructed and walked towards the water and began fishing.
Now the two were left alone watching as Kali swam hunting for fish. They didn't say anything they both seemed to be wishing they were doing something.
Kron glanced at the water near them, he looked at it curiously. For a few seconds, he focused on that spot and stood up.
Blake turned in his direction. "What are you doing?"
"Fishing"
"Mom said-"
"Yeah, yeah I know I'm not going in the water. Just watch." He smiled and aimed his hand at the water and waited. A fish jumped and Kron fired a Ki blast. And he missed, it caused a small splash.
Kron glared and looked down, he hears something next to him, he turned to see Blake giggling.
The Saiyan squeezed his fists hearing her giggle, he really wanted to discipline her but he knew it would anger Kali and it wouldn't benefit hin the moment. "Shut up, I'm used to hunting deer and boars, I barely fish."
"Mhm," Blake giggled further at the boy.
"Tch" Kron crossed his arms and sat down not wanting to embarrass himself further, he glared at the glare who kept laughing at him.
"Ok, ok, I'm sorry," Blake said remembering her mother asked her to get along with the boy and she can see that he only looked really bitter about the laugh, while she would love to poke fun at this she knew that her mother would be very cross with her if she didn't try. "So Kron?"
"What?" He demanded not liking the idea of talking to this mangy cat.
Blake paused for a moment trying to figure out what can interest him, he seemed to love bragging about himself and fighting. "Who taught you how to fight?"
Kron paused for a moment he really didn't want to think about her right now. "Some old hag."
"An old hag who?"
That he couldn't reveal. "Some huntress, I don't like talking about her so enough of that." That last part was true, he rather not think of Raven for now.
Blake was a bit irritated by that but assumed it was a touchy subject and moved on. "Who are your parents?"
That question also touched a nerve. "No one important."
Blake's cat ears flattened, she was getting angry at him but she kept herself in check, she didn't want to disappoint her mother. There had to be something that interested him, something that can get him talking. She remembered how he was happy to brag about himself, she wanted to vomit asking this. "How did you fight an Ursa?"
Kron turned to her, and smiled proud of his battle with the Alpha. "That I can tell you."
The cat Faunus rolled her eyes. 'Here we go.'
The Saiyan noticed this and was offended that she looked annoyed asking that but he smirked. "Better yet I'll show you."
"Hmm?" Blake didn't know what he meant by that.
Kron placed his hands down, both of them glowed and Ki orbs came in his hand. He then concentrated, he was doing one of the tricks his father taught him, shaping his Ki.
The two orbs began to take shape into minature figures.
One was a short person with spikey hair and a monkey tail, it was shaped like Kron.
The other one was much larger, it was in the shape of an Ursa and it looked more than five times the size of the little figure.
Blake looked at the two little figures and was in awe. "I didn't know you could do that!" She thought his semblance was just an explosive light, she didn't know he could use it to make shapes.
Kron chuckled feeling his ego being fed. "It hasn't even started yet." He placed his energy figures on the ground and held his hands over them kinda like he was a puppet master. With great concentration he started to make them move.
This further suprised the cat girl, seeing them take shape and moving was amazing to her..
Kron began to focus on memory and tried to make the peices move the way he remembered that fight.
And so they began moving, the Ursa charged and the minature Kron was fighting back with all his might.
Blake was wowed even further. The figures were moving while Kron's hands remained over them. He must've been controlling them even now. "Your semblance is just really fun!" She meant it to, she looked up at the boy and sees him smiling. It looked like he was happy to, she looked back down at the figures fighting.
For some reason Kron was very pleased with himself at the moment. In the past he would use this trick to help his father entertain, making figures and shapes to illustrate his stories, they were so demeaning for him, he hated it. But here in this moment, showing a battle that he was proud of, it felt great. Like he was the hero of the story he was telling.
Then the little Kron figure punched only for it to be in the mouth of the beast, it made Blake gasped in suprise. He then made them seperate and made the Kron figure punch into his chest and explode, destroying it just like he remembered.
He made the little Kron raise it's arms in victory.
Blake giggled and looked up at the boy. "Wow, it looked really cool, your semblance is really unique."
Kron chuckled, he enjoyed the praise so much.
"But I think you made the Ursa a little big."
And his mood started faultering. "That was it's actual size."
"No Ursa aren't that big."
"It was an Alpha!"
Blake looked at him annoyed. "Kron, my friend Adam is as strong as a huntsman and he can't beat an Alpha yet, also he's older."
That name again, a tick mark grew and his face. "You know what Blake, when I see this Adam guy I'll beat him up, maybe then you'll beleive me."
The cat started to glare at the boy, he kept insulting her friend that he never met. "You can't beat Adam no one can, he's the strongest ever."
"Pfft, spare me." He turned around and just sat with anger.
Blake sighed, she thought she was getting somewhere with him, but he just got angry just because she didn't believe him when he said he killed an Alpha Ursa. Which couldn't be true could it? Regaurdless she made a promise to her mother that she would try to get along with Kron, so she thought of other things she can get him to talk about. He really liked talking about himself so she decided to bring up something else dear to his heart.
"So mom says that you know history. How much do you know?"
Kron again looked at her for a second before looking back at the water. "I know most of Anima's history and have been learning about Menagerie."
The little girl tilted her head. "You're from Anima?"
Kron cursed himself, he knew there were rumors of a Monkey Faunus with a laser semblance running around Anima. And now he's made it known where he was from. "Sort of, I was born elsewhere I didn't live there for long."
"Oh? Then where are you from."
The Saiyan thought about what to say, he quickly spoke. "An island, somewhere."
"Which island?"
"I don't know it was filled with Grimm, my village would fight them on a daily basis."
Blake listened intently to his story, it looked like she was getting him to talk.
"In our tribe, you either fight or die." He explained trying to describe how this village ran as Planet Vegeta did. "Everyone born was a warrior we either die or get stronger fighting Grimm to keep our way of life." It wasn't exactly the same, he didn't want to bother mentioning anyone similar to Frieza or how people like himself were meant to be servants or engineers. He didn't need to describe how his proud warrior race was little more than servants to the imp-looking overlord.
"That place sounds awful," Blake noted and she meant it.
"For someone weak like you, yes, but for a warrior, it's a great place. Just constant non-stop fighting." He spoke fondly of the idea, fighting was life to a Saiyan. Though he didn't get to fight, she didn't need to know that.
"If it's such a great place why did you leave?"
Kron paused for a bit, trying to figure out an excuse for that, he came up with something. "Our tribe never explored outside our island, I wanted to explore somewhere new so I made a raft from trees and washed ashore to Anima." That was kinda true, he learned basically all there is to learn of Planet Vegeta, sure he didn't see all the sites but due to Saiyans preferring fighting over recording their history they didn't have much to see so coming to Remnant was refreshing even though his goal would change it.
"Ok, but do you ever miss it?"
Kron's eyes widened, he wasn't ready for that question.
Blake noticed his reaction and wondered if she hit a soft spot.
Kron didn't say anything for a few moments he was lost in thought. He remembered Planet Vegeta vividly, the intense gravity was hard but he could endure it though it limited his ability to fly. But then there was his house, his mother treated him and his father like servants, his father was less harsh but wasn't that different. He would always demand to study old records of Planet Vegeta's history, in time he learned how to enjoy them but still, it got dull from time to time. Most of his time was spent either doing chores around the house, studying old records, and entertaining drunk Saiyan warriors. Whatever free time he was given was very little, he couldn't challenge other children in battle due to having such a pitiful power level even compared to other children that were deemed too weak to be conquerors. All in all Planet Vegeta is a great place to live when you are strong, when you are weak your-
He didn't say anything for long which is why Blake had to ask. "Kron?"
The Saiyan turned to her. "What?"
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine, just, just leave me alone," Kron said harshly.
"No need to be a jerk."
Kron got even angrier. "What're you going to do, run away to mommy again? It's what you do best."
Blake glared, she was annoyed but she knew that she had to have touched a sore spot with him. Whatever life he had was clearly harsher than he's letting on, she just watched her mother fish in silence. She felt guilty about it, she wanted to find some common ground with him but all she did was upset him. Still he had no real reason to be such a jerk when she only asked questions, getting along with him is harder than she thought.
Kron tried to stop thinking about home but then he thought of his life here on Earth or rather a Remnant. He was free, he could go anywhere, even when he was taking orders from Raven he was allowed to fight, train grows strongly, and learn fighting tactics. His time was much more well spent. Then when Raven attempted to kill him he could go anywhere at his own pace, he can do whatever he wanted. And then here in Menagerie, it was hard getting used to obeying Kali someone that wasn't a warrior. But she was willing to help him heal, give him good food, and got books for him. So far she's the only person he's met anywhere that didn't want something from him. Whenever she ordered him to not train it was truly for his own good, he'd be more healed now if he had relaxed instead of trying to force his body to improve. She seemed to have actually cared for him because of some sentimental garbage called 'compassion'. That was a word that the Saiyans viewed are for the weak. But he began to wonder could it really be so bad?
The Saiyan froze when he asked that. Why would he ask that? Why? Did he want to be weak? Did he actually give a damn about Kali? No. She's a tool, just like Raven. She is being used to help recover, then when he's ready he'll finish the job. Just like with Raven though, he didn't like that idea.
He grits his teeth and started to get angrier and angrier. Was he becoming like the inhabitants? Valuing the weak? He clenched his fists, he began to loathe himself, thinking negatively. In about half an hour Kali looked like she was ready with a basket filled to the brim with fish and was ready to head to shore.
Kron rolled him finally, walking around the shore was getting old and he wanted to get back to reading. But then he caught a rather disgusting scent. He looked at Blake's direction then looked up.
"What?" Blake asked.
The Saiyan didn't say anything he just stood up and looked up. "Run"
"Why? ah!" She was pushed by the boy.
Kali saw this in the distance, she knew the boy was rough but didn't realize she would start a fight with Blake. "Kron st-" She stopped when she saw something flying towards them.
Kron looked at the flying Grimm.
It was a Lancer, a giant wasp-like Grimm with a stinger that was as large as a lancer. The beast thrust its stinger at him.
The Saiyan caught the creature by its stinger before it can penetrate his heart. Normally he'd be able to rip the stinger out of its body, the problem was he was still injured. "Stupid creature!"
Blake felt the need to run but she couldn't bring herself to run while the injured boy who saved her is wrestling with the beast. She took out her knife used for fishing and stabbed it in its body.
The Lancer turned to her and hissed.
Kron then did something most would find insane and bitten its body as well.
It roared in pain as the boy bit into it.
Then the Saiyan pulled and forced it on the ground. Then its stinger pierced his left arm. He yelled in pain.
At that moment Kali made it to shore and stabbed the creature in its eye.
The creature roared in hiss in response.
Kron looked at Kali. "Move!" He stomped on its chest and let out his right arm. He filled his hand with red Ki and shoved it on its face.
It gave a final roar in pain and faded out of existence.
Kali looked at Blake and helped her up.
"I'm ok, Kron got hurt."
"Tch" Kron grabbed his stabbed arm there was a bit of blood flowing out.
Kali grabbed the boy and looked at his arm. "We need you to get to the hospital."
There it is, the damn coddling. Common sense told him to agree, but his pride told him to stay strong. "I'm fine it'll heal."
"We are going."
Kron growled but looked at his arm it was bleeding and it likely pierced the bone. He nodded knowing it was best.
The three made it to the hospital and wrapped his arm in more bandages around his arm much to his dismay.
The Saiyan was greatly annoyed by this. He had been waiting to recover, hoping that this next Zenkai would be far more beneficial than the first and now he has to wait even more. That damn lancer came out of nowhere.
He along with Kali and Blake were walking back home.
For a few moments Blake looked at the boy, he was a jerk but he actually risked his arm to save her she had to say something. "Thank you, Kron."
The boy glanced at her, he only saved her because Kali might not give him food and kick him out if her offspring were to die. "I'm surprised you didn't run, guess that's not what your best at after all."
Blake felt a little angry at him for a few seconds but then thought of what he had said. It didn't sound to bad. "Was that a compliment?"
"Take it how you want." He grunted and continued walking.
The catgirl looked at him and smiled. Maybe he wasn't all bad.
Kali smiled too, that was the nicest thing he's ever said. But then she frowned, she was going to have to have a talk with him about something.
They made it home and Kron was about to head to his room but Kali put a hand on his shoulder, he rolled his eyes and looked up at his current 'caretaker'.
The woman turned to Blake. "Can you wait in your room, I need to talk to Kron about something."
Blake looked at her strangely but nodded and walked away.
The Saiyan looked up at her strangely. "What is it?" He said sounding irritated.
Kali just smiled and sat on the couch. She patted the cushion next to her. "Sit"
Kron fought not to groan and sat next to her, he kept a straight face. He was annoyed but it was best not to get her angry so he wouldn't get another lecture.
The cat Faunus began. "Now first I want to thank you for saving my daughter from the Lancer."
"It would've attacked me too." He explained.
Kali nodded, she knew that was just his way of sounding tough, he's been doing that since he got here. "Now, listen Grimm are rare in Menagerie, they almost never come because almost everyone has a positive outlook on life."
That made sense, it's how most places on the planet survived. No negative thinking, just positivity. The thought made him want to vomit, what a waste, these Grimm can actually help both humans and Faunus evolve into a warrior race. One of the few stories he read on Planet Sadala, the original homeworld of the Saiyans had vicious predators and the same gravity Planet Vegeta had. Though the environment wasn't the most gruesome in the universe it surely molded them into a warrior race. They should fight the Grimm and maybe they can grow stronger as a species.
Kali continued talking, getting your attention. "So that Grimm came because you have been thinking negatively, haven't you?"
Oh, great this conversation again, he rather avoids this. "How do you know it wasn't Blake?"
"While Blake does have a habit of being mopey every now and then, she mostly thinks positive." She explained. "And you always seem to have something bothering you."
"I'm f-ow!"
Kali pinched his cheek as she did a couple of nights ago. "I thought I told you no lies." She said sternly before letting go.
The Saiyan growled it was so degrading to have this woman do that. He looked up at her and glared. "You said I can talk to you at my own pace."
"That was before Grimm came after you, what if it happens again? What if one more vicious came along?"
"So what do you want? Me to leave?" Kron stood up and seemed ready to head out the door.
"Wait" She gripped the boy's shoulder gently so as not to hurt him. "I don't want you to leave Kron, what I want is for you to tell me what's bothering you."
Kron was greatly annoyed by this but decided to hear her out. "And what good would talking be?"
"Talking about our problems can help." She stated. "Blake told me about your home while you were getting your cast."
Of course, she did. Why did he feel the need to tell her anything? "What about it?"
"I think maybe you weren't telling the whole truth about it were you?" She questioned. "Do you really miss it?"
He clenched his fists. "Yes I do, why is it a big deal if I do or not?"
Kali looked at him and sighed. "Kron, please talk to me, tell me everything, I don't want you attracting something too dangerous to you." She said. "Would it really hurt to talk to me about it?"
Kron didn't say anything for a few moments. He wanted to deny her and just do what he wanted but knew she wouldn't stop until she got what she wanted. Plus she wasn't wrong, telling her a bit more of the truth wouldn't hurt. Of course, he wouldn't be talking about the fact he was from another planet he'd keep claiming he was from another planet. He gave a long sigh. "If I tell you, well you stop pestering me?"
Kali nodded.
There was silence for a few seconds. It had been years since Kron had spoken any genuine. The last time he said some truth in his words was with Raven and it was only a little bit. She only taught him to control his emotions, she never wanted him to talk to him about anything sentimental. But his control on it was faltering, likely due to his life here. He supposes he can a bit and then hopefully Kali will leave him alone.
"Not everyone in my village was a warrior, some were seen as too weak and had to make themselves useful." He explained. "Engineers, construction workers, servants or" He hesitated. "Bards"
Kali listened to this story and asked. "And how did they decide who was weak?"
That he had trouble explaining, how they decided was by their power level, he decided to use an explanation he found in the text of ancient civilizations around here. "They decided on the size of the baby, if the baby weighed less than a certain standard they become classified as servants or workers. They weren't allowed to fight, they would be trained how to work or entertain."
The cat woman listened and nodded. She knew where he was getting at but he seemed to have stopped, she wanted him to keep opening up. "Which one were you?"
Kron didn't say anything for a moment he was having trouble deciding whether to continue or not. But she wasn't going to stop until she got the answers she was looking for. And besides, he did enjoy talking, some might say a bit too much but at the same time, he did not like sharing this embarrassing secret. 'Just tell her now and when he recovers leave and never come back.' He thought.
"I was born weak, my father was too, he was a bard, he would tell stories at bars and have me use my semblance for special effects." Again he remembered those memories. "There were few times I was allowed to fight weak Grimm it was the few times I got to enjoy anything if I challenged anyone my age, fighting to the death was allowed, and most of the other children my age were stronger than me and they wouldn't think twice about killing me." Other children at the age of 5 had power levels in triple digits and those children were like him, deemed too weak to fight. His level was nowhere in the triple digits, Kron was especially weak for weak Saiyans.
His losses on this planet proved their point, any other Saiyan his age would've domiated this world.
Kali started to feel horrified hearing this. Such a place existed? That sounded like old tribes in ancient times where mankind was just learning how to deal with the Grimm. How can a village exist? It sounded like it attracted much negativity and the Grimm would destroy such a place. But she remembered how the boy was able to fight the Lancer even injured. And he's supposed to be born weak? They must be a tribe of true warriors, though very primitive.
The woman decided to ask one thing the boy never mentioned. "Wouldn't your parents protect you?"
Kron cackled hearing that. "No, my parents are far different than you and Blake's father I assume." He explained. "My tribe see family as either something to be proud of, ashamed of, or servants. Unlike any family you have seen we don't care much for each other, if any member of the family dies if they were strong they would get revenge for wasting a warrior in their family, if they were weak, they don't care." He remembered his days obeying his parents every word, just thinking of those days made him disgusted with himself. "You know which one I fall under, hell my mother occasionally threatened my life whenever I asked her for training."
Kali knew that he had to have had a hard life but didn't expect it to be this depressing and hard. No wonder the boy attracted that Grimm. She gave him a hug.
The Saiyan hated this. He hated that he felt comfort from this.' No Saiyan should want this shit.' He thought harshly.
"I'm so glad you shared this, I promise we'll find you a home, one that will have a family that will care for you."
Garbage. Sentimental garbage he wouldn't need. He is a Saiyan warrior! They thrive on power and power alone. Garbage like this makes pitiful weaklings that deserve to be eradicated! Family is nothing!
"Maybe that family can be us."
His eyes widened. This woman had only known him more than a week and she gave a damn this much? How weak. But he himself felt weak for being affected by her softness. This place was better than his own home, Raven treated him better than both his parents combined like he wasn't an embarrassment. And Kali, she treated him even better than Raven did and had nothing to gain from it. She didn't seem to care for what use he was or his power, she actually wanted to help him and nothing more.
Kron sighed and lightly got out of the hug much to Kali's dismay. But to her surprise he wasn't heading out the front door he was going to the hallway. "I'm going to bed." He said simply.
Kali smiled glad that he wasn't leaving after all. "Remember Kron, I'm always here if you want to talk."
The Saiyan merely nodded and walked away. This talk felt like a cleansing but also embarrassing. Though it might not be too bad. Blake, he was indifferent about but Kali, he couldn't help but actually enjoy her company. When he made it to bed he imagined living here, training here. Maybe life here wouldn't be so bad. Though it wasn't a possibility, once Ghira, the leader of the White Fang finds him, he'll have to escape.
He would have to leave after his injuries had healed. He started to fall asleep. 'But maybe a few more days here wouldn't hurt.'
It was late at night, Kali was taking care of the dishes, she hummed to herself glad that she got the stubborn child to open up a bit. She wondered how a conversation with Ghira would go with adopting the child. A ring came from her pocket, she pulled out her scroll and smiled. She brought it to her ear.
"Ghira, I'm so happy to hear from you." She said smiling.
"Kali! It's good to hear your voice." The man sounded stressed.
She was shocked to hear the worry in his tone. "Ghira, what's wr-"
"Kali please tell me" Ghira interrupted her much to her shock he's never done that. "Is there a monkey Faunus in our house?"
Kali stopped and focused on the call. "Y-yes but how did-"
"You need to take Blake and get out of the house now!"
Kali was shocked hearing this panic from him."What? Why? Ghira, tell me what's going on?"
She couldn't understand what was causing her poor husband such distress.
Sorry guys this chapter was supposed to be longer but I thought that this would be a fitting cliffhanger.
Now listen, I'm sure a couple of you are thinking Kron is suddenly going to turn good here. He won't YET. He'll definitely change a bit, but not 100% become good. And I will do my best to make his change as believable as I can.
Now first about him enjoying entertaining Blake with the parlor tricks he learned from his father. He enjoyed it because it was a battle about HIM, he likes to tell stories but mostly if their about him. He also enjoys being in the spotlight, the center of attention. Just like his father, Neab. He's a lot more like him then he realizes, and if anyone were to bring this up, he would attack them, after all becoming like Neab is his greatest fear
Now let me explain my reasoning for why Kron opened up. 1. He's never had anyone care about him without wanting to use him, even Raven saw him as more of a weapon while he sees the way Kali treats him as a weakness he enjoys it. 2. Kali constantly was kind to him without anything to gain she helped break through his shell a bit in his brief time with her. 3. Kron likes to talk, another thing he inherited from his father Neab who enjoyed the attention. And 4. other Saiyans aren't aware of what he's doing so he's not worried about embarrassing himself in front of anyone he deemed strong, he even wouldn't like saying anything like this in front of Raven.
So that's my reasoning, you guys let me know if this was ok or if u feel it was rushed.
But anyway now Kali might learn a bit more about who she's housing. That leaves the question what would she do?
Let me know what u think in the reviews as well as if u liked the chapter or not.
Review Responses
epantoja521: Oh my god lol. You reviewed almost every chapter. I hope I can keep your interest for a while, thank u for reviewing most of the chapters, I'll try to respond to every review.
Ch 14: I can see it, like Vegeta he's staying there cause he's got nowhere else to go, the only differences are Kron stayed to recover while Vegeta stayed for gravity training. Ch 13: Whoa, whoa, come on man u think I'm a monster lol, no he won't kill Kali, especially when she offers free food and he's gotten attached. Ch 12: I appreciate the power scale, I would argue Alpha Grimm or aged Grimm are probably just below veteran huntsmen, depending on how old they are, the Alpha Grimm are ancient and supposed to be tougher, stronger, and smarter than the rest of their breed, Roosterteeth just haven't explored them enough so I just speculated it, but thx for the power scale I'll be sure to consult it, also ya, if he were to surpass Raven Kron, would basically be above the majority of RWBY. Ch 11: Lol, ya Hazel is probably my fav Salem minion, I wish they made him as threatening as he looked. Ch 9: Glad u enjoyed the fight with Kron and Sienna. Ch 8: Yup, also Kron developed an early distaste in servitude on Planet Vegeta and even more so when he followed Raven's orders so now he wonders if his goal was so great in the first place. Ch 7: I can see why u feel that way, this was definitely my most iffy chapter I tried to make the argument that Sienna was simply rusty when Adam one-shot her, she was the leader of the White Fang and in charge of Adam so she had to have been something special back then, of course, she was only one-shotted because Roosterteeth wanted to rush Adam being in charge and I completely understand if u still disagree. I'll admit I mostly did this because I wanted Sienna to seem somewhat capable and it didn't take Kron long to surpass her, I am thinking of retconing that chapter a bit to make a more believable loss. Ch 6: Ya, I even tried looking into the card game, couldn't find any characters to sacrifice, so I have to make my own. Ch 5: Hope his journey hasn't disappointed you. Ch 4: Ya, Kron at the time was intending to wipe out all life so he doesn't have much of a conscience. But to be fair Kron was defending himself kinda, he did kill more than necessary though and was intending to kill Raven though he wasn't sure h wanted to. Ch 3: Sadly yes. Poor Yang. Ch 2: Hope u u still thank so. Ch 1: Glad u think so though I think the right writer can pull off a dragon ball character in a RWBY crossover I just don't know how I imagine u have to either do a plot device to lose a good amount of their power to that of RWBY level instead of just plot nerfing or have a character from early dragon ball if u want them to struggle. I just think it'd be more fun to put a Saiyan OC in the mix instead, granted a REALLY weak and young one. Of course, I tried to put some thought into his character and avoid making him seem like a self insert that sadly plenty of OC's fall into the trap. I'm glad he works for u I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the story. Gonna be honest while u were reviewing one chapter at a time, I was scared of what you were gonna think of Ch 7, LOL, that was my most iffy chapter, hope u stick around.
cesar45: Thx! I'll try my best.
ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank u. I know right lol, family is different than Planet Vegeta or the Branwen Tribe. Well maybe the roles can be reversed but, I mean Kron might still have the might makes right mentality even if he were to abandon the original goal he still grew up with that mindset whether he keeps his goal or not. But maybe, u never know.
Ya, Raven does legit care about Kron, but she wouldn't be doing all this if she didn't have some ulterior motive. Lol, basically ya it's kinda like an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. Lol.
WingNUT48: Really? Glad to hear that because I feel I struggle the most writing those scenes, I feel pretty confident writing a fight scene but character interactions are ones I worry about the most especially since I have to make sure my OC is believable without seeming like a self-insert or overdone as a jerk. Anyway, I'm glad ur enjoying it and I promise more character interactions in the future.
Reunion: Yaaaa, it's likely to cause of RoosterTeeth's less than stellar writing. I usually don't like retconning but I think I'll do this. In this story, Menagerie is simply not big enough to house a quarter of the Faunus population and most of the world discriminates against them. So the issue is they don't have enough land where they can avoid discrimination. Kinda like a happy version of Genosha the island for mutants from X-men. It's probably the best I can do to have it make sense, cause it looks like paradise.
jntauking: I guess so, alright I'll do it. Thx for the suggestion. Hope you're enjoying the story.
Well, guess that's all. As always let me know what u think of the chapter, and tell me what more u like to see in this story. Ideas, questions or concerns feel free to let me know.
And if you didn't like the chapter at all, let me know maybe I can change it and improve as I got forward.
