Loyalty

Anima...

Kron awoke from his sleep and sat up. He was saddened when he realized that he wasn't in his bed from the house. Or smell breakfast ready, or Kali coming to his room to check if he needed help. He shook his head. 'Stop thinking of the trickster.'

"Your awake."

He turned to see Raven standing waiting for him.

"And your still here," Kron said though without an annoyed tone, which was good.

Raven walked up to him and dropped a bag at his feet.

Kron looked up at him and opened the bag to see his armor that Sienna had crafted for him, the red and green chest, bracers, and boots.

"Thought you'd like those back."

He did but didn't say anything. He started putting them on.

"Once you're dressed we'll hunt for breakfast like old times."

"Tch" He put on his chest armor. "I can hunt by myself, I don't need you."

"Come now, if you let me come with you I'll take you to a place you'll enjoy," Raven said with a smirk.

Kron looked at her as he was putting on his bracers. "It better be worth it."

Good, he was willing to give her a chance. This might work out for them.

Menagerie...

Ghira was at a hospital covered in bandages. The damage the boy did wasn't fatal but he had definitely broken several bones, he'll need time to recover, at least his Aura will help speed up the process.

A guard came into his room. "High Leader Ghira, I apologize but we have searched everywhere in the forests and even our city. Kron is nowhere to be found, he likely left the island."

"But how?"

"We're not sure yet, we'll keep looking and let you know if we hear anything."

Ghira sighed. "Very well, Thank you."

The guard left the room.

Ghira was worried, if Kron had left the island then that leaves the question of how. Not to mention due to Sienna's injury the White Fang will want justice and not just to the humans, but Kron. It might be the first time they will bare their fangs at a Faunus. And all this is because he panicked, he was worried for his wife and child that he locked him up and made it so Kali wouldn't see him with his fear of her being manipulated, but really Kron was the one who thought he was manipulated. It's such horrible irony.

"Ghira"

He turned to see his wife at the door and his daughter Blake.

Blake ran up to him in his hospital bed and hugged his gargantuan arm. "Dad, are you ok?"

Ghira smiled at his little girl and patted her head. "I'm fine Blake, I'll be out of the hospital soon." He then had a saddened look thinking of the one who caused these injuries. But Ghira knew that he was at fault not the child. He looked at both his wife and daughter. "Kali, I'm sorry, you were right I should've let you see him, if I had none of this would've happened."

Kali looked away from him for a bit. "You were trying to protect us, maybe you were right, maybe he was manipulating me." She didn't want to believe it but after seeing her husband in wounds and Sienna's condition, maybe she had the wrong idea about Kron at all.

Ghira frowned, he squeezed his fists. He had to say it, it would be wrong of him to hide it. "Kali, listen, there's something you should know."

His wife looked at him as did Blake.

"When we confronted Kron he yelled that you tricked him, he believed that you manipulated him so he'd be easy to capture," Ghira explained he sees her giving him a somber look that broke his heart. "I- I'm sorry."

Blake looked at her father and shook her head. "But mom wouldn't do that, Kron can be a jerk but mom's been nothing to good to him!"

Ghira was in physical pain as well as emotionally.

"You should have let me see him." Kali put a hand to her face fighting not to cry, sure Kron was rough around the edges, but he opened up, he told her what life was like in his home. It explained so much, and she truly wanted him to live with the Belladonnas. But now he thinks that she tricked him into it. And why wouldn't he? She was taken out of the house by the guards not long after Ghira's call. He was likely very confused and hurt from feeling betrayed. If only she got to see him.

"I know"

Kali shook her head. "No, y-you were trying to protect us, it's not all your fault Ghira." She hugged her husband as she started to cry. She was angry at her husband for this but she knew that the situation was complicated, how else could someone respond to a killer that was at their house child or no child. Sure Kron didn't tell her everything but she knew that Kron wouldn't be capable of harming her or Blake, he proved that when he saved Blake. But now what would he do? Does he think what she tried to teach him was a lie? What would he do from now on? Does he have any hope of a happy life?

Ghira put a hand on her head and looked down at Blake who hugged him as well. She had mixed feelings on everything how could he hurt her father, crippled Sienna, she's been good for the White Fang and Adam's teacher. And he thought that her mother lied to him? She just wasn't sure how to take this. Is Kron really a monster? She's just not sure how she'll be if she ever saw him again.

The High Leader listened to his wife's cries and it hurt more than anything Kron did to him. "I don't know how, but I promise I will try to make things right no matter what."

Though he did know that it was nearly impossible. Sienna may have been demoted from her position but she was still a highly respected member of the White Fang. Many members will see him as an enemy, and may even stop following Ghira as High Leader. If only he didn't panic hearing that Kron was in his home. He only hoped that the boy will no longer do any more wrong, even if he believed Kali had deceived him he had to have been influenced by her in some way before it was too late and he does something he can never redeem himself.

Somewhere far away...

Hazel had arrived at the location that was sent to him, he had hoped this wasn't some sort of trap. Salem wanted to start having the Crown, the organization led by Vacuo's old monarch siblings. He had to hope they were willing to put aside what happened with Tyrian and help capture the monkey Faunus.

"You must be the contact."

Salem's minion turned to see a device with a hologram of a man with black hair tied to a top knot, with a silver diadem over his head, wearing a blue linen duster embodied with spirals. "My name is Jax Austrias, it's nice to meet you." He said in a polite manner, though Hazel could hear a sinister undertone underneath, very much like Tyrian.

"Hazel Reinhart" The brute introduced himself reserved.

"Well then let's get to business," Jax said excitingly. "So from what I gathered you wanted the Crown's assistance in bringing that monkey we've been wanting correct?"

Hazel nodded.

Jax scoffed. "Well I have a couple of problems with this, first let's start with the obvious, from what you told me this monkey is capable of moving from place to place so how do you expect on finding him?"

"We have some people working on a way to find his exact whereabouts." Tyrian was a master tracker, he will find the boy in time. Not to mention the two mad scientists were working on a joint project to be able to locate him wherever he goes.

"All well and good," Jax explained. "However, my next problem, is that I am not willing to waste manpower on that brat until you deal with a certain nuisance."

The large man didn't like the tone the leader of the Crown was using but remained reserved. "With all due respect Mr Austrias, you did seem please at the offer we presented to you."

"Yes, yes, the robots, the list of possible recruits you showed us was very enticing. However I do not wish to waste manpower finding this boy, I worked hard recruiting them you know. It's very difficult to find new soldiers with useful semblances."

Hazel fought not to glare, he knew full well about the recruitment, finding children across Vacuo and kidnapping them brainwashing them into the Crown's ridiculous cause. He hated the man before him but understood that he had a job. Salem assured him that after their goal is complete they will do away with the Crown and make the world a place where children no longer have to fight or be forced into cruel situations. There was a reason he was assigned to speak to him, despite his brutish look, Hazel was a skilled diplomat.

"So what would you like us to do?" Hazel asked very well at hiding his anger.

Jax smiled. "I want you to ensure the bandit, Raven Branwen cannot intervene."

Salem's minion rose an eyebrow at that. "What do you mean? What does she have to do with this?"

"I have it on good authority that Raven was the one who killed the rest of Team CRDD(Creed), while this boy, Kron took out one of their members, she took out three of them, if it hadn't been for her we would've captured him."

Hazel put the pieces together, so that was it. It's no wonder Tyrian can't find him. With her semblance and possibly contacts she has in every continent it'd be hard to find her, especially if she's traveling with Kron. Though he had to wonder why was he by himself when he fought him? Did they have some sort of falling out?

Jax continued as if he waited for Hazel to process it. "So, take care of Raven and I'll gladly assign a new team to chase after him. I simply can't spare the manpower it would take to kill that woman."

The brute knew that he had to be honest in this deal. "I'm afraid that will prove difficult." He sees that Jax rose an eyebrow and continued. "Raven's semblance is Link, she can open portals to and from people's location so long as she's attached to them. It's how she's evaded us for so long, so I'm afraid that would take too long." He reasoned, he hoped that the child abductor would just agree and take the deal. He clearly can assign more teams under his command to help deal with her and take the boy.

"Hmm," The wannabe king of Vacuo put a hand on his chin. "The boy we can take, both of them together though? Not possible. They'd burn through my precious underlings." Jax said in a fake sad tone and then he smiled. "Well, then Raven not only is strong but cunning as well" He chuckled. "I admire that, I wish I could recruit her."

"What do you mean?" Hazel asked.

"I mean I have the perfect answer for them both." Jax smiled widely. "Well, ok it's not perfect, I rather we kill her but since that seems unlikely with her semblance we'll have to be a bit riskier."

"What's the risk?" The brute asked.

"Given what was reported on the monkey's personality he'll likely get himself killed, so we'll need to act quickly if we want to use him."

Hazel was wondering just what he was talking about and listened. When Jax explained what he meant he realized how he understood what he meant.

Back In Anima...

Kuchinashi, the city of thieves and assassins. It's the perfect place for criminals to lie low if they can afford the constant threats of every other criminal in the city. It was a place where there was plenty of illegal activity that the kingdom just didn't have the time or resources to enforce properly, corrupt cops, corrupt huntsman it was indeed an outlaws' paradise.

It also had an underground arena, where many rogue former, or even rightful huntsman come to go all out using their semblances weapons anything they have at their disposal until their opponent is either beaten, dead, or worse.

And Kron was loving every second of it.

The arena was shaped like a wide hexagon the ground was flat made of some kind of steel, it was walled with light dust to protect the audience, it was filled with plenty of blood. Surrounding the arena it had five rows of people around it cheering for the fighter was going on a rampage, he was having his sixth fight right now with no breaks.

Kron was in his fighting stance ready, he had minor bruises and cuts on his body none of them slowed him down. He also had plenty of energy to work with. Raven had said that she was taking him somewhere fun but he had no idea it would be like this.

His opponent was dressed in a grey outfit with a long mace he had his own blood all over him he was panting heavily. He was at peak condition when he entered the ring but now he had low aura, broken bones and he was exhausted. While the child had fought four opponents before him and was beating like a ragdoll at every exchange he was too fast and strong for him.

Kron put his hands on his sides and prepared two energy orbs, then they multiplied till there were ten and floated behind his back. He didn't need to do this but he wanted to practice this technique more.

The fighter took steps back remembering how this attack took care of the third fighter.

Then he swung his fingers forward. "Guided Swarm!" The ten energy blasts flew towards his opponent.

He understood that he couldn't take any of those attacks so he did what he could to avoid them, and they flew past him only to turn to see Kron was already in range. He immediately went for a swing.

But Kron pulled his index finger controlling one of the Guided Swarm balls to hit the man's swinging arm.

It made a small explosion that stopped his swing.

Kron then decided to move the rest of his nine fingers to hit the man in the back making him stumble forward a bit.

His Aura was down to less than a third now, he glared down at the little brat who was floating to be at eye level at him, he smirked.

The man swung his long mace but Kron swayed back as the mace missed his head and he kicked up the man's chin. Kron then punched a liver shot, making the adult keel over then with his other, he then threw hooks on both sides of his face, he then grabbed his head to knee him in the face, and then he uppercuts him sending him flying, he then jumped and rose one leg up as he got above the fighter. He then swung his leg down doing an ax kick on his head and it sent him crash on the ground face first, his aura shattered.

The Saiyan then crashed his knee on top of the fighter's neck-breaking it, killing the opponent. He smiled, it's been too long since he killed an opponent.

"And the winner is once again our newcomer Kron!"

A lot of people cheered, his name.

The Saiyan looked around the stadium before they were booing him for their lost money after betting against him. But now they changed their tune and he was cheering him. Kron looked around at the now adoring audience and smiled, people were praising his strength and he was eating it up. He rose an arm to show that he wasn't slowing down.

In the upper parts of the arena, there was a suite-looking room with a glass dome overlooking the arena.

There was a tall, bald man in a suit with a drink in his hand. "Gotta say, I was skeptical at first but this kid really was worth every bit you said."

Standing next to him was Raven Branwen wearing her red and black uniform with a drink in her hand. "So?"

"Alright, I'll set up a room for him, he can fight here as much as he wants." The arena owner said. "Gotta say though if he keeps winning like this I might have to keep him in reserve till I find someone worth his time."

"Good" Raven explained as she took a drink. "And remember no-"

"No one will breathe a word of this outside about the kid at all." She gave him a look that told him she was deadly serious. "Relax, every member here is a trusted member of the Golden Knives Arena, no one here will spill about any fighter in this arena, gotta keep it sacred y'know?"

Trusting people in this corrupted city is difficult, but she's known the man for a while now, he or anyone working for him has never told anyone about any of her competitors she brought to this arena. It was a good place for Kron to lay low and enjoy himself.

"Ha!" The man said watching Kron looking around the audience waving his fist around and grinning. "Gotta say, I never expected this kid was trained by you Raven, he seems to love the admiration he's getting."

Raven looked at Kron in the arena. It was true, he always enjoyed being the center of attention. She found it strange, whenever she would ask Kron would speak of his father how he enjoyed being an entertainer and hated him for it. Seeing the boy enjoy the crowd's attention made it ironic, looks like he inherited something from his father after all. Though she wouldn't tell him that, he might have more than a negative response.

"Gotta say this kid's a real monster all those guys weren't your average huntsman a few of them had winning streaks going on till you brought him in, he's strong, fast, and is exceptional at hand to hand. You trained him well."

She did but she can't take all the credit, she taught him what she knew of hand to hand, she was a great swordswoman, but only adept at hand to hand, and Kron had picked that up early in his training and took her advice to create his own unique attacks with his strange power. Berringer Burst, a wave of red that can do more damage than Kron himself she believes that he's concentrating that weird light into a single point to increase its potency, then there's his Guided Swarm ten of those energy orbs float at his back that he controls with his fingers, perfect for multiple opponents or attacking one person from different sides, if perfected he can aim at an opponent's weak points perfectly, and then there was that one attack he has yet to use again, the Alpha Ursa, no doubt it will be a close-range piercing attack that can penetrate not only armor but Aura as well. Kron isn't just strong but he's also talented, all the more reason to have him under her command.

Raven walked away drinking her win and putting the glass down. "If that's all I'll collect my winnings and leave with him."

"Sure, don't forget to tell the kid the good news!"

She nodded and walked out of the suite room walking down towards the arena. She made it just outside of it seeing the boy walk out.

"Had fun?"

The Saiyan turned to the woman who brought him here and smiled. "More than I come you never brought me here before?"

Raven smiled. "Well, every fighter here has to be exceptionally strong and they show no mercy to anyone, you likely would have died if I brought you here before."

"What happened to survival of the fittest?" Kron asked.

"There are exceptions she explained." Raven looked at him covered in sweat and blood, most of it was someone else's. "Tired?"

"Not really I could go for more."

Raven was impressed but also... cautious. Six matches against above-average opponents and not only did Kron beat every one of them he wasn't tired at all. The plan can be a bit more problematic than she hoped. She'll have to reconsider some things later. "Well for now, how bout dinner instead?"

Kron looked at her for a bit and realized he hadn't eaten for a few hours, he nodded.

"Come, wash up then let's go celebrate your winnings." She brought up a huge bag of money. She'll just have to stay on his good side which is very easy for his simple mind.

Back in Kutsinachi...

They were at a restaurant with a table filled with all kinds of food.

"Eat up," Raven said.

Kron looked at the many types of meat, noodles, chicken, and pastries on the table and he started devouring everything.

This was something Raven did not miss, his eating habits were disgusting.

The boy was having the time of his life, fighting, eating, the simple lifestyle he had before only it was better. No annoying orders, different worthy opponents he can fight and all he can eat. What more can he ask for? Well, he knew what.

Raven decided to try to have a conversation with the boy.

"Kron?"

The boy looked at her for a bit with noodles hanging out of his mouth and swallowed giving her his attention but showing that he really wanted food.

"Listen, you did really well in the arena, but I have to talk to you about your fighting?"

"What about it?" He fought with skill whenever he needed to.

"Well you did well with what I taught you, you also showed some other moves I never seen before, I assumed you picked during your travels."

He nodded, that was true. He used what he learned from Raven, learned more about fighting from other opponents, he copied Sienna's style when he fought Hazel for a bit, and even performed his own attacks, in time it could create a good fighting style.

"However, I do have to ask, why do you yell your attacks?"

Kron groaned, he hated this conversation. "I've explained to you plenty of times already." He whined. Back in the Branwen tribe, she would criticize him for yelling the attack's name. It was so annoying, to be fair none of the inhabitants have yelled an attack name which was so strange to him.

"I'm sorry, I know you get upset when I ask this but I'm trying to understand why yelling your attacks is a good idea, it just seems to make it easy to evade," Raven said, she never got a satisfying answer from him on why he does it, she's hoping that he'll admit that it's better to stop to improve his fighting.

Kron groaned again and explained the reason. "Fine, look yelling the attack's name acts as a trigger to help me focus on it, if I don't yell it I can't do it as quickly and the attack would be much less powerful."

Raven heard that explanation but all she thought was that it was a flimsy excuse. "But don't you think you should learn how to focus without yelling it?"

"Even if I did it would still be less powerful!" Kron yelled, every time he had to explain this Raven would always try to explain why it'd be good to not have to yell it. Sure not every named attack needs to be yelled, and not every Saiyan yells their signature attack but yelling the name also symbolizes your resolve for victory!

Raven can see that she wasn't getting anywhere with this conversation again. "So that one attack you used on the Alpha Ursa, do you think if you gave it a name it wouldn't have broke your arm?"

"No, but uh" Kron struggled to explain. "It'll make it easier to do overtime."

The bandit lord can see that he's getting irritated again. "Ok, look I'm sorry for judging, I'm done, it's your power you decide how you use it."

"Finally!" The Saiyan exasperated hoping this tedious talk is over and got back to his meal.

Raven sighed and drank her tea, it's funny she found it almost cute when she brought this topic up. Though she still didn't like that he did it, oh well he's still a kid, she's sure he'll grow out of it when he's older.

"Once you're done with that I have something to show you."

"Fine." He got back to devouring his meal not caring for what she said.

She smiled he seemed happy, content, perhaps he's finally moving on.

Dr. Merlot's island...

Dr. Merlot was admiring his new creation with the new Grimm his new allies supplied him he made leaps in his reasearch in just a couple days.

"I must say Dr. Watts, working with you has been a bigger blessing than I imagined."

Standing beside him was Arthur Watts and they both were looking at their new creation that Watts even had a hand in once he convinced the other mad scientist of course.

"Glad to see you're appreciating our arrangement."

The beast they were looking at was a new kind of Grimm they created.

It was a Manticore, a lion head Grimm with wings, horns, and a long scorpion tail. It had large green crystals embedded across it's entire body like the rest of the mutated Grimm that Merlot had created.

"Oh, it's beautiful" Merlot smiled at it, finally he had a Mutated Grimm that can take to the skies.

"And just imagine this is only the beginning of our partnership." Watts smiled. "Later on you'll be able to make a new kind of Grimm entirely."

Merlot was getting absolutely giddy, sure he's created unique breeds of Grimm before but that was before he met his new suppliers. Sure he's never seen their face or their name but as long as they grant him the glorious creatures who cares? He can create all he wants and Ozpin isn't here to judge and stop him from trying to push evolution.

"This creature has a heightened sense of smell many times more than any Grimm, flies higher than any of its brethren to avoid detection, and thinks to my expertise has an implanted chip in its head allowing us to command it whenever need be." Dr. Watts bragged about the creature. "Now I trust you'll let me be more involved in our next project."

"Of course, it's good to see another scientist who can see the beauty in these creatures." Merlot chuckled.

Watts looked down at the Manticore they had ready to command. It looked calm waiting for a command, normally Salem had to command the Grimm for them but it looked like Merlot's talents made it possible for them to command them without her. Not that he was planning to rebel, no, he's fully aware of the unstoppable Salem. There's a reason Tyrian calls her his goddess.

"Hellloooo"

Speaking of the madman.

Watts and Merlot turned around to see Tyrian with a bag.

Watts looked at him. "Tyrian, you brought what we needed?"

"Of course." Tyrian cackled and opened the bag to reveal something that belonged to the monkey Faunus they were after. It was his original armor, it was half destroyed by Raven's lightning and crumbled up. "It was in the same White Fang hideout from a month ago, imagine that."

Merlot smiled. "Very good, now bring it to our new Manticore."

Tyrian nodded and without hesitation walked towards the glass and went through the door like it was a stroll in the park. He presented it to the Manticore.

The enhanced Grimm sniffed the bag and grabbed in it's mouth.

Watts pressed a button on and spoke. "Find the origin of this scent and stay high above where he is."

Merlot pressed another button opening the sky door and the creature flew with the armor in its mouth to find its original owner.

The scorpion smiled and turned to Watts. "So will he find him?"

"Of course, now hopefully the Crown will fulfill the plan."

Tyrian cackled looking forward to seeing his protege, the fun they'll have.

Back at the underground arena...

Kron was in a room with a single bed with Raven by his side.

Raven looked at him. "I know it's not much, but the manager said that you can work your way up to a better room if you keep fighting the way you do."

The Saiyan wasn't going to complain it looked like his room in the Belladonna household. He shook his head trying not to think of that family of tricksters.

"It's fine as long as I can fight and eat."

The woman smiled and pointed to a bookshelf with plenty of books.

Kron looked at them curiously and pulled out a couple of texts and realized that they looked familiar. "These were"

"Yours" Raven finished his statement. "I kept them safe for you."

He looked at her and put the book back. "So I take it this is where you ask me to come back to the tribe."

She shook her head. "While I would like for you to return to us, I think you need a bit more time before coming to a decision."

"What makes you think I haven't already decided I don't want to rejoin."

"Well for one, you haven't told me to leave now have you?"

Kron scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"And as long as you're with me, I'll show you the new benefits of rejoining the tribe." She explained. "I know plenty of other places like this arena where you can fight plenty of former huntsman without any of your new enemies pursuing you."

The Crown, the White Fang, the law, and whatever group Hazel was a part of.

"What makes you think I don't want that attention, bring it on, I'll fight them all at once."

"Oh?" Raven asked. "These organizations might try other methods, poisoning, sniping in your sleep, hidden explosives, they'll do whatever they can to weaken you to capture or kill you." She explained. "Tell me, do you think you can take all that and live?"

Kron heard the methods and realized she was right. Huntsman has double-teamed him, the Crown sent an Alpha Ursa at him the White Fang have outnumbered him twice, these people aren't like Saiyans they don't care for one on one fightings, they'll get the job done however it's done. It's almost like the boring way Raven thinks except she realizes that it's survival of the fittest. He said nothing.

And as always Raven knew that meant. "Here you can fight as much as you want and no one will find you. And you'll get much more if you agree to rejoin." She said. "But as I said, you need more time right?"

Her student looked at her and nodded.

"Good, I'll be back tomorrow, I have a huge wager on you in your next fights tomorrow, don't disappoint me." She opened a portal and was about to walk through.

"Raven"

The bandit turned around.

"Thank you," He said with less trouble than anyone would expect.

Raven smiled and nodded and walked through the portal.

Kron watched the portal close and looked around his temporary room. He thought of today, it was so strange. Raven acted so differently than in the past. Sure she had benefited him from time to time, but not to this degree. Not to mention she's giving him a choice whether to join or not which isn't what he'd expect her to do at all. She's like a Saiyan, choice is for the strong not for the weak. And even though he knew he had gotten stronger, Kron was aware that he was weaker than Raven. For now of course. And so she can force him to rejoin if she desired, so she shouldn't. Strange maybe she's just trying to get on his good side so that when he is older and more powerful she can call on him for a favor if he refused to join or to ensure he wouldn't kill her for the grudge he has for almost killing him. Probably both.

"Whatever" He yawned and lay down on the bed, there was time to think about this later right now he had to sleep for the fights tomorrow.

One thing's for sure, she's making it tempting to go back to the tribe.

Raven appeared in front of her tribe's camp in front of Vernal.

"How'd it go?" Her second asked.

Raven looked at her and smirked. "He seems to be enjoying my company now, though we may have some trouble."

"Why? You said we have to bide our time with him."

"I did until I realized something," Raven said.

She thought of the fights Kron had in the arena. She saw him fight Hazel to a draw which was impressive but seeing him fight six different matches, no breaks, all of them stronger than the average huntsman and he took them down with minimal injuries. He's even stronger than when he fought Hazel.

"He's gotten so much stronger."

"What? But it's been only over a month, he couldn't have."

"I know" Raven replied. "I don't know how he did it but he's gotten ridiculously strong in that time." His growth has always been quick but not like this. Training alone couldn't do this much for him. Maybe it's related to that strange power he has. "He might be strong enough to fight me without the Maiden's magic."

Vernal's eyes widened. She couldn't believe it, she can't believe it. Kron was already strong enough to beat her, but now he's gotten stronger than her mentor? A Maiden?

"It'll be alright Vernal," Raven told her 2nd in command. "This only means we have to speed things up."

"How can you be sure you can? Does he completely trust you?"

The woman looked away for a second. "Maybe not enough."

Vernal kept her frown. "Has he gotten suspicious?"

Raven frowned at that but understood her paranoia. "No, he hasn't made any assumptions yet."

Her second sigh relaxed knowing that little monster was gullible. "Any chance he can figure it out."

Raven thought of that scenario, if he found out then everything she had done would be for nothing. She prayed that he wouldn't find out if he did there's no doubt it wouldn't end well. She thought of the whole thing she did for the past couple of weeks.

Weeks ago...

Team CCR_ had lured an Alpha Ursa into a cage.

"Alright, good work," Creed said smiling. "Any luck on the monkey's location?"

"None so far," Razz replied.

"Ugh!" Creed put a hand on his face as the Alpha Ursa roared in its cage bashing against it. "You were supposed to find him before we captured the Alpha Ursa! The Crown is going to have our heads damn it!" He put a hand to his face, the cage was strong but sooner or later the Alpha Ursa would break it, he knew that it was unrealistic that she could find Kron's whereabouts but they were in a hurry. Their leader isn't exactly forgiving.

"I can help with that."

Team CCR_ pulled out their weapons and aimed in the direction they heard the voice. "Who are you?"

It was a woman that they recognized. She wore black and red and had a Grimm-like helmet.

"I can tell you where he is." She spoke.

"For what?"

"Payment" Raven replied. "After you capture him."

"How do you know where he is?" Creed asked.

"I overheard you running out of time, aren't you?"

Creed was about to retort but heard the monster roar in the container and thrash against it. "Fine! Just tell us."

Raven nodded and told them where to find him.

An Alpha Ursa would definitely bring Kron to his limits, and he'll need saving.

A couple of days ago...

In Anima in one of the White Fang camps, Ghira was talking to one of his subordinates.

"Sir we managed to get some info on the monkey faunus's location!"

"Where?" Ghira asked.

"It's... at your home sir."

Ghira's eyes widened. "Get my scroll, now!"

Overlooking the camp was a raven perched on a tree branch watching him.

"Kali, you need to take Blake and get out of the house now!"

It was information that was leaked... on purpose.

The raven flew away as if that was all it needed to hear.

Now Kron will need to leave Menagerie, with a portal she can easily transport him away hopefully earning more favor with him.

Back in the present.

Raven sighed, she didn't like what she did, but it was the only way she could think of to convince Kron that his best chance is by her side. If she left him to his own devices, Kron would've eventually been captured by Salem and she would have to kill him. This way he has a chance to survive.

"He won't, and he trusts me right now, he fully believes I'd let him go if he refused to come back to the tribe," Raven concluded. "And if he refuses to come back, I will finish what I started." She thought of the first time she spared him. She determined that this time she won't just let him go.

Vernal listened but she remembered when she told her he was dead. "Are you sure you will?"

The bandit leader eyed her dangerously. "Vernal, do not question me, your poor judgment was the reason I have to resort to doing all this." Sure Kron was vicious but he was still willing to listen to her and in time she could've molded him to be loyal to herself and the tribe. But Vernal had tried gathering people to kill him after she refused the request. They lost some long-time members because of that. "He's too valuable to just toss away, remember that if all this works."

Vernal gritted her teeth she didn't like the idea of letting Kron back in but realized that she was right. Especially if it's possible for him to show how he got his weird and versatile power. "I understand."

Raven nodded and looked in the direction that Kron was, hundreds of miles from here. It looks like her plan was a complete success so far. Now she will wait, decide to handle his request as safely as possible, and then if it manages to sway Kron to coming back he would be an overwhelming asset, and hopefully, in time she will find a way to harness his power for herself and the tribe. She did feel guilty for all this, but at the end of the day she is the leader of the Branwen Tribe, she'll protect them no matter the cost. She remembered killing the spring maiden who proved too weak to handle her own power, killing her was mercy and so would killing Kron. Then she remembered something else her baby Yang being taken from her arms. She squeezed her fists at that and regained her composure.

No matter the cost.

Now before we talk about that 'reveal' I feel I need to clear some confusion.

Jax Asturias is not an OC and the Crown is not an OC faction. As far as I know they are canon to the RWBY timeline, their from the book 'After the Fall'. Their an organization that want to place Jax and his sister Gillian Asturias to the throne since he beleives they are descendants of an old king names Malik the Sunderer. Their organization kidnaps children with powerful semblances and brainwash them to their cause. As far as I know Salem never attempted to make contact with them, but Kron's pressence is making her seek out more allies since she believes he can be dangerous in the future and the Crown will be more active in the canon timeline we all know from the show.

No one asked I know but I figured I do this in case anyone is wondering who the Crown are and why I'm doing an 'OC' when I'm actually not.

Anyway so be honest. Did everyone expect this?

Way back in Ch 12, close to the end where you read Raven stabbing an OC Creed in the throat. Before she did, here was his last line:"We had a d-!" He said this to Raven. I'm sure you guys know that the last word was 'deal'. She was hoping that after saving Kron from a disaster he would start to feel loyal towards her.

Raven also leaked that Kron was at his house, she's the reason he was locked up not Kali. Using Kali as a scapegoat, wasn't part of the plan, she merely used Kron's assumption, it's a bonus, he's focusing his anger wrongly at Kali and Raven get's to be seen as kinda a savior, though he'd never admit that.

So I'm surprised nobody noted that, I mean I don't doubt at least most of u guys spotted that and chose not to comment on it but I want to ask. Did anyone notice that? Let me know in the reviews.

Actually even further back, in chapter 5, I rewrote it around the time I wrote chapter 7, it says Raven had made a plan for him. So Raven had planned this not long after she decided to 'let him go.' And given how valuable Kron's power is, she wouldn't just let him go, she'd be too afraid of Salem getting her hands on him. She would either find a way to control him or kill him.

In the next chapter, it will explain more reasons why Raven did it and regardless of how u feel about her it's not a bad plan, tactically speaking, morally though it's horrible. I believe it also aligns with her backstory and character based one her actions in canon. Feel free to let me know if u think Raven would resort to doing all this and if u think she wouldn't let me know why in the reviews.

Review Responses.

Nekses: Probably, especially if Kron still thinks Kali betrayed him.

The villains are going to be much more proactive, Kron's pressence is already stirring the pot.

Lol glad you enjoying it, I can promise most of the volumes are going to be completely different.

I'll do my best to keep it!

King Quinn of Tucky: Romance isn't something I'm focused on right now. Blake and Kron might just have a brother and sister bond. That being said I'm keeping options open, I'll probably pair him with whoever I think would be the most fun to write and make sense. When it's time and we won't do that for a while, who knows though we'll see.

johan641: Translated your review you like my stories.

Aw thank u man, I hope I can entertain you a bit longer.

Saiyans4ever: I'm flattered that you'd like me to write the story. However, I don't do challenges or requests because I prefer to just write stories I want to write not what someone else wants me to write. And if I do write your story it won't be exactly like how u want it, I guarantee you I would do plenty of things u wouldn't want or like because either I'll disagree or I'll like to do my own twists rather than someone else's. Sorry hope you understand. I recommend getting an account and writing yourself, it can be really fun.

Enku: Ch 17: Ya, my reasoning why it's taking so long is that Saiyans take long to change, he'll have a bit of growth and more will come. Ch.8 Yep. Ch 7: We might be boned either way. Ch 5. Yep not the first time either. Ch 17: Read my response above. Ch 4: Yep Ch. 3: Ya. Ch 2: What? Pfft, no, Raven having a Saiyan? What can go wrong, lol. Ch 1: Yes he has and will continue doing so. Thank u for all the reviews and constructive criticism.

Mandra Priest: I am going to tweak certain characters and I intend to make most of the volumes vastly different from the originals anyway but I'll think about it.

Kaiser Dragon: You'll have to wait. Look at my response to GKD. Kron will not get Super Saiyan until WAY later in the story, he's not getting it on Remnant, not sure why anyone would assume he would need it here.

Thunder Dragon: He's been captured twice, beaten, and relied on someone weaker for shelter he got more careful and focused more on training in Ch 10, and he's had had plenty of humble pie and learned from it, it's why he trained and created techniques, he'll have more in the future. To answer your question I will not say, maybe we'll do DBZ maybe we'll make it something else. I'll consider your suggestion.

fightingchampion: Thx.

Runeion: Thank you! Well, you kinda wish here, not exactly the same. Well he got an underground arena, sadly Raven might not get that fortress.

God-King Ghidora: Our first hiatus is coming soon before the time skip, I'll look to fix your issues if I agree. His pod is buried, I have a way to shake things up. I'll think about your ideas like everyone else's.

RedLanternReader:Glad you liked it. Alright I'll definitely think about it.

Well here's your answer! Poor Kali :(, if only she raised him instead.

jnautking: Thx for letting me know. Thank you, well, maybe so, maybe not. Well here's your answer, poor Kron, finally got a positive mother figure and now he may turn to the last person he needs.

epantoja521: Glad you liked it. Kron is a wanderer, he likes to learn and see new places. And also personally while I have enjoyed crossovers where they have a character at Beacon with RWBY, I do think it's overused and sadly most stories fall for the fifth wheel trap where they put a character at Beacon. RWBY will definitely get their share of the spotlight in this story but Kron will not exactly join beacon.

Indeed, well he has fought Hazel to a draw before he got a Zenkai boost. So right now while's not at Maiden level yet but he is one of the strongest on Remnant that doesn't have magic, you'll see.

ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank you. That wasn't an easy choice. Well as far as Kron knows, Raven's been helpful but as you can see Raven just can't stop complicating her relationships. Lol, well in fairness here she's just following orders, she only asked those questions because her semblance was taking a toll on her mind, but yeah, now Sienna knows where he stands. Appreciate the patience.

johan641: Thank you, I'll try, greetings from the United States.

Guest: You seem to be misunderstanding what happened, Ghira's wasn't demanding Kron to join the White Fang, he just wanted him to tell him what he knew about Raven like her semblance, he even said he would help him if he did. Sienna only acted that way because her semblance was taking its toll on her mind. And Kron still murdered the huntsman that guarded villages that were raided and had killed huntsman with the tribe and on his own when he left the tribe. So locking him up might be a rational response, he is dangerous and he believed that the only reason Kali and Blake are alive is that Kron was still injured, which given how merciless he is, you can conclude it's possible that he would've killed him once he recovered. Raven is also dangerous, she has raided villages gotten plenty of innocent people killed and Kron is helping her by not telling Ghira what he knows. If he had told him her semblance even though Kron was a murderer, Ghira would've tried to help have a normal life to some extent but Kron chose to be loyal to Raven. I'm not saying your wrong, you can argue Kron is still just a child he might not be the bad guy in this situation, but it doesn't necessarily put him in the right either. And Ghira even gave in and let Kali see him but sadly Kron was recovered enough to escape before she had a chance to speak to him. If she had Kron probably would be in better situation.

PLEASE READ: Alright now guys, thank you for your ideas, it means a lot to me. But everyone PLEASE understand that I will not and cannot use ALL of them. Ok? I'm just letting everyone know now so if I refuse an idea, it's nothing personal it's just either I don't think I can fit in to the story or I have another idea I like better, or I have problems with them, or I just don't have time for it. Now it's ok you can still give me ideas, just remember no hard feelings if I don't use them. And if u want to really push your idea then send me a PM and we'll discuss what I think of your ideas and why I might use them or not so we can come to an understanding. And if you don't have an account please get one. And if u can't an account, then I'm sorry that means we can't discuss I don't want to discuss with guests every chapter about the same subject, it get's really tedious and other people will jump in and it get's annoying. Hope everyone understands.

Also after talking with a couple of readers I've decided, after Ch 20 the arc ends and we finally get the time skip. We spent enough time without actual Team RWBY. It actually was supposed to be sooner but I ended up having fun writing Kron's adventures in the background. But I think we should wrap it up, hope u guys are looking forward to it sorry it took so long lol.

Have an awesome day! :)
