PLEASE READ! I got Fanart again! ssj Golden Commissioned Alex-Kellar check out the art titled "Faces of destiny" it's an art of Kron wrapped in chains by Raven and... Esdeath! Ok so let me explain no one gets confused I'll make it clear this fic is NOT crossing over with Akame Ga Kill so don't expect the Akame Ga Kill characters in that art to be in this story. Lol, I spoke with ssj Golden, he told me he wanted to include Esdeath because there were similarities between her and Saiyan culture, kinda like Raven. He thought it might be cool, regardless I appreciate it, I love it it means a lot to me. Also fun fact Esdeath is my favorite Akame Ga Kill character.
Thank you ssj Golden for the generous gifts for my story, I'll keep doing my best for you and everyone here.
I especially love the art of Kron's wrist in chains and Raven holding it, kinda shows his relationship with her. She wants to make him loyal and won't give him the choice. If only he was with Kali poor bastard.
And of course be sure to watch Alex-Kellar on Deviantart he does commissions and probably has the art of stories you might be interested in and of course support Alex-Kellar's work, please.
Ok, and now I hope everyone had a happy holiday, a Merry Christmas, and a happy new year!
If your new hear I hope to entertain you as long as you are interested. Ok with that out of the way, lets get on with the chapter.
It Never Ends
It was a week after Raven had decided to let Kron go. She had been keeping tabs on him since she was waiting to start her plan. To show Kron that he needs her. But so far the boy has proven resilient as she expected. She didn't expect that White Fang member to be able to capture him, sure he's allowed his anger to get the better of him before but not like that. She thought of intervening but since she didn't feel his life force fading she decided to let him be captured, she'll rescue him if she senses that he's dying. And who knows, maybe being imprisoned will teach him some humility.
He's been there for a few days, she wondered how their able to hold him, not that it mattered. They won't be able to brainwash him.
Her mood was sour when she got a message from someone she hasn't seen in a while.
She arrived at a bar in the middle of nowhere, she turned to see the man she hadn't spoken to for a while.
It was a man with black hair and aftershave, red eyes, a grey overcoat, and a black tattered cape.
"Hey sis" He took a huge sip of the booze he ordered.
Raven rolled her eyes and sat across from him. "Hello Qrow"
The two siblings looked at each other for a few seconds.
The sister started. "You said you had information on Salem's next move let's hear it."
"Hmph, and here I thought you were going to ask how Yang is doing."
Raven kept her stoic face but felt that little jab at her, she kept her emotions in check. "Just tell me so I can protect our family."
Qrow rolled his eyes when she used the phrase 'our family' and Raven caught that but ignored it. He really has abandoned the Tribe.
"Fine" The drunk replied. "People have gone missing in Vacuo, huntsman, and children with powerful semblances. We think Salem might be behind that."
Raven narrowed her eyes. "You think or you know?"
"We don't have any evidence that it's her, it's good to be in the know even if it's not, there are other threats out there you know." He took a huge sip.
The bandit lord hated him but realized he was right, Salem is cruel enough to abduct children into her ranks and even if it's not true and it's some group it's only better to be cautious.
"Alright, now that you got what you wanted time for you to pay up."
"What do you mean?"
"Come on sis, you have to know this info wasn't free."
She put her hands on the table. "Even if it's for our family?"
Qrow scoffed. "They're a bunch of thieves and killers who probably want to kill you in your sleep, the only family we got are back in Patch."
Raven kept her calm, she hated when he talked ill of the tribe, or jabbed at her for taking responsibility.
"Right so" Qrow began. "What can you tell me about this new tribe member?"
"Why are you so interested?"
"This kid from what I hear is a monkey Faunus with some sort of laser hands for a semblance." The brother explained. "Exactly the kinda kid we wouldn't want Salem to get her hands on."
"Oh but I'm sure you'd love Ozpin to get his hands on him wouldn't you?"
Qrow didn't say anything for a moment. "You know, we have left larger piles of bodies than this kid, it wouldn't be too late to get him to do some good."
That's what Raven hated about her brother these days, he practically worshipped the ground Ozpin walked on. And he would always say that the good he did working for him felt like he could redeem himself for what they did in the Branwen Tribe. It was so annoying that Raven almost just opened a portal and left, but she didn't because even though she wasn't a participant in Ozpin's war it was important to know what Salem was up to so she can keep the tribe away from her or her pawns.
Her brother continued. "I know you believe that too, if you really care about this kid you'll let me and Ozpin see him before he stains his hands with any more blood."
"Even if I did you couldn't sway him," Raven stated. "He's way more vicious than either of us ever were combined." She remembered the lack of regret Kron had when he murdered members of the tribe, even if they attacked him he laughed it off and that terrified even her.
"It'd still be good to give the kid a chance, y'know?"
His sister shook her head. "It's not happening Qrow, but I'll tell you what I know." She explained that she found Kron how he killed tribe members without a thought and four years later he killed more members when he was attacked so she had to take measures.
"So you got to raise a kid and ya end up trying to kill 'em." Qrow summarized.
"I'm not going to sit here and take this," Raven replied. "You know full well I tried to convince Tai that Yang's best chance was for them both to come with me to the tribe, Salem will destroy the four kingdoms and when that happens it'll be everyone for themselves." She glared at him. "And we're prepared for it, Yang or Tai won't be. I didn't just leave them, I wanted them in our tribe, if he didn't I had to do my obligations, you made sure Tai wouldn't make the right choice with all the poison you told him."
Qrow shrugged. "I only told him the truth and you know it, call me crazy but the Branwen Tribe is no place to raise a kid, you and I both know that."
Raven shook her head. "That doesn't erase the truth of this world, the strong live and the weak die. When Salem wins my tribe is prepared to do what it takes to survive, hiding among the kingdoms or under Ozpin's skirt won't do you any good and you know it, brother." She turned around and opened a portal declaring their conversation over.
"Yang's doing fine, by the way, she's really acing her combat training if only her mom was there to see."
Of course, he had to end it like that. She didn't pay his jabs any mind, she just stepped through the portal leaving him to drink alone.
That meeting with Qrow didn't sit well with Raven. She knew there'd be rumors of Kron going around if Ozpin knows then Salem does too. She might need to speed up her plan.
Three weeks ago...
Raven had changed into her bird form and watched Kron as he escaped the White Fang base. The boy had been using her time wisely training away from civilization, he created a technique that can target multiple opponents. Smart, he's learning from his previous experiences.
She then sees arguably Salem's fiercest minion. Hazel Rainheart, she remembered fighting him a couple of times while she was with Ozpin's group.
This was perfect, Hazel will surely be able to beat him close to death before taking him that's when she'll rescue him.
But to her surprise, Kron was fighting back, he was matching Hazel and even got the upper hand a couple of times. Last time she saw him, Kron struggled against the average huntsman, so against a veteran fighter like Hazel should be impossible. This growth should be impossible, how is it that he grew more in a week than he did in her own tribe?
Did the tribe's raids not challenge enough to provide the growth in his strength? She always did make sure the fights were in his favor, whenever it looked like he was losing she would either step in without him knowing or have Vernal do it even when he demanded a fair fight.
The fight ended but neither died, it looked like a draw if anything.
Raven as a bird was on a palm tree looking down at the boy. She scanned their surroundings, they were on an island pretty far from Anima. Kron wouldn't be able to fly back without breaks. Which means he's trapped. So if he were to be attacked by someone then he'd have no way to escape. She's been keeping tabs on Kron's current enemies, including the Crown all the way in Vacuo.
She has Vernal near their current location, she can direct them towards their target.
Hopefully, they're prepared with something that'll weaken them.
And they did, the Alpha Ursa was strong and brought Kron to his knees. He bleeding and broken.
Now was the moment.
And so Raven changed back to her human form and 'saved' him.
Now...
Raven was in the VIP room of the arena watching Kron fighting two opponents at once.
He looked so happy in the midst of battle, she felt less guilty about her actions. After all, she did Kron never looked happier. Besides she knew that for as long as Kron was in the tribe he wanted to kill her, he never said it but he always made it clear that he understood the Branwen philosophy like he was raised in it. If this was the only way to get him under control then no one should argue.
Of course, she'll make sure Kron never finds out.
Kron stood on top of his two opponents and rose his arms and laughed.
The audience cheered his name once again and he was loving it.
Raven took a sip of her wine. Everything was going smoothly just more time and he'll be ready.
Kron was taken at the same restaurant again and had a large table of dishes to choose from. And he devoured once again much to Raven's charging.
"Can't you slow down even a little?"
"I ea ow I wan" Kron said with his mouth fool.
Raven understood him much to her charging and groaned. "Kron I saved your life and brought you the arena, at least pretend you appreciate it please."
Kron groaned but did as he was told and swallowed his food. "Why should bandits have manners?" He ate his food carefully.
"You don't have to be a pig." She scolded the boy.
The Saiyan just ate his food with as much grace as he could.
Raven sighed as he shoved his face with food but at least he kept it closed. "Now Kron, the way you fought today was good but I noticed you were relying more on brute force this time."
Kron swallowed his food. "Sometimes the simplest ways work the best." Power was everything to a Saiyan anyway, if they can outmuscle their opponent why not just use it, save the skill for real opponents.
"That is true, but I want you to make sure you use your skills at least on any opponent you haven't fought before."
"Why? If I'm strong enough to kill 'em it shouldn't matter."
"I'm only telling you this because it wouldn't be good if you relied on your power alone, brute force cannot save you from everything, one day you might face an opponent stronger than yourself or me, when that happens brute force will not be enough."
Kron stopped eating and focused on his teacher's words.
"In that situation, you have to use your head, think carefully about what you know about your opponent, and exploit any weak point they have if not to win than to survive." Raven lectured. "It might save your life if it doesn't help you win."
"I'd rather take my chance to win." The Saiyan argued.
"But what about living to fight another day?"
Kron thought about what she said and groaned. He didn't like that idea, it sounded like running away, but she had a point. He can't do his mission if he ends up dead. He didn't answer and he just kept eating.
Raven smiled, she didn't get an answer which means he wasn't happy with the correct choice.
"Ah, there you two are."
The duo turned and see the bald man in a suit. The manager of the arena Kron was fighting in.
Kron recognized him but only through the window did he see him watching his fights.
"Is there a problem Daim?"
The manager chuckled. "Not at all Raven, I'm only here to speak to you both about a proposition. He then eyed Kron.
"Hello, Kron enjoying your winnings I see."
The Saiyan grunted and just kept eating not interested in what he had to say.
Daim only chuckled and looked at Raven. "We'll Raven, I was wondering if it'd be alright to take Kron here as my representative."
Kron stopped eating and looked at him for a moment before swallowing his noodles. "Representative?" Whatever it was sounded boring to him.
Until Daim explained. "In simpler terms, my champion, as Raven probably told you there are other arenas on almost every continent filled with fighters that you can't imagine." He paused to look at the boy, he seemed interested good. "And as the representative of my arena or champion whichever you prefer you get to challenge other combatants to prove that your worthy of facing their champion, and these fighters are a different caliber of my own."
Before Kron could reply Raven intervened. "And how do you know they really are worth Kron's time?"
Daim chuckled he was ready for that question. "I've had almost a dozen champions when I take them to these arenas the most they can manage is go halfway up the opposing arena's roster, some don't even make it against the first fighter, they either end up dead, crippled, or just quitting due to loss of morale from how weak they are." He thought of his champions and how well they fought only to be crushed before they can challenge the opposing representative. He looked at the boy for a moment.
The 'Monkey Faunus' was practically drooling. He was reacting better than expected. Kron was about to answer.
But again Raven intervened. "We'll think about it Daim, in the meantime he's perfectly happy with where he is now."
Kron was about to shout but Raven just glared at him and he stopped himself but squeezed his hands.
Daim looked at the frustrated boy but shrugged. "Alright, let me know if you change your mind, enjoy your meal." He walked away not happy with not getting the answer he wanted but he smirked as he gave them one final glance before leaving.
Raven fought the urge to sigh, this wasn't good. She didn't expect Daim to offer him this soon, she turned to see the boy glare. Here we go.
"You can't just answer for me, let me fight."
The woman eyed him for a moment. "I will after you agree to rejoin the tribe."
Kron groaned at that.
"It's only fair, I've given you plenty already, food, an arena, and a place to sleep." She stated. "If you want more then you'll have to rejoin."
The Saiyan sighed and kept eating.
"Is rejoining still a bad idea for you?"
"I like to keep my freedom."
Raven felt angry at that but kept herself reserved this wasn't good.
As Kron finished an entire chicken he looked at Raven. "You know if I don't join I can just agree to him and take his offer.
Damn it, just what she was worried about. "You could" She admitted. "But you still need more training, I've seen some of the other arenas, they're far from the ones you fought."
Kron eyed her for a moment as he went to finish his meal, she didn't answer how he expected. Oh well, she's annoyed, at least she knows he has more than one option.
The woman sees the smirk he was giving her, she couldn't help but think he was such a little brat. She's lost some of her leverage, but she has one final thing in her favor. "Remember I'm the reason you're still breathing, if it wasn't for me you'd be captured or worse, even if you take Daim's offer they won't stop and I won't be there to save you again. Daim won't be able to protect you from the enemies you have and you know you can't fight them all on your own."
Kron grunted as he took the last bite of his food and didn't give an answer.
Good, Raven had gotten her point across. 'Just make the right choice Kron, do it and we both win.'
Later that day Kron was alone in his room, Raven told him to avoid going to the city without her.
'Screw this' He never liked staying in one spot. The Saiyan left his room and the arena to see all of Kutsinashi, it was truly a city of vermin the lowest of the low would stay here.
This dump felt like the opposite of the tropical island of Menagerie. 'Least I get to fight here.' He thought of his time here, it's been fun more fighting, strong opponents, and more time to train. Even Raven's company wasn't exactly unwelcomed though their last talk didn't end on good terms.
The Saiyan was exploring the town, not much to see. It really was just a corrupt place of degenerates, not many interesting buildings caught his eye. A good place for a fight but boring to see.
Without much to learn or see he thought of talks with Raven, he wanted to tell her that he refused to join the tribe and just fight in the arena. But what Raven said wasn't wrong, Saiyan or not he might not be strong enough to endure all the enemies he has on his own. Maybe he should rejoin the tribe, after all, it does mean more fighting with less risk. But on the other hand, it'd be more fun to just rejoin the tribe and survive on his own.
He thought back to all the enemies he fought since leaving the tribe. A couple of huntsmen, Sienna, Hazel, members of The Crown, and the White Fang. If he had to be honest it was overwhelming and he could very well be killed. The answer would be to train until he's stronger, the issue is that they seem to have a knack of finding him. Though he wouldn't be surprised with all the destruction he caused he likely has left trails behind in his wake, that was how Hazel and Sienna found him.
Though he had to wonder how did the members of the Crown find him on that island? They clearly said they weren't with Hazel. Didn't they? If so how else would they have known? Strange, he couldn't help but think how they cou-
"Hello Kron"
Kron stopped his train of thought and turned towards the voice. It was someone who he didn't get to finish, a large, bearded man.
"Hazel didn't think I get to see you here." Looks like this place wasn't as safe as Raven thought, good.
The large man looked down at the boy. "I'm not here to fight, I'm here to talk."
The Saiyan chuckled and dashed up to his face.
And Hazel looked surprised, he didn't see him move.
Kron kicked across his face and sent him rolling across the ground.
After he crashed through a brick wall, he stood up and looked at the child. He didn't feel the pain of course, but if he did he'd be screaming in agony. This child's strength has grown. But how? In such a short amount of time?
He looked at the brute wondering why he looked so shocked and then looked bored. "Wait, don't tell me you haven't any stronger!" He looked at his face for a few seconds and then groaned. "What? Hazel, your one of my funnest opponents, don't tell me you didn't bother training while I've been getting stronger!" Then again he shouldn't be that disappointed, a bit happened since their battle, an Alpha Ursa, a zenkai, plenty of fighting in the arena. Humans can only go so far with Aura while Saiyans grow stronger at a faster rate, even if he had trained he probably couldn't make a difference.
Hazel eyed the boy carefully; he didn't plan to fight but knew he could hold his own against him. Or at least he thought he could, he hadn't expected this.
"Oh well, at least you'll be useful for something," Kron said as he rose his right hand. "With your defensive Aura and semblance, you'll make the perfect test subject for my newly perfected technique." He remembered the last time he used it on the Alpha Ursa. The technique was made in the middle of battle when he needed it the most. At its infancy it had no real focus, no shape it was just a mass of concentrated Ki over his arm. And it had no name until now. He began to concentrate on his arm as it glowed red.
"Ur-!"
"Wait, at least hear me out before you start."
The Saiyan looked at the man for a moment and glared for interrupting his newly perfected move. But he didn't see the harm in hearing him out, he made it clear he was stronger than him. "Offer me to join you and I'm shoving my new technique in your mouth." His hand stopped glowing and decided to hear the brute out before killing him.
Hazel sighed and relief and began to open his mouth but then he noticed the child tilted his head. He immediately swayed his head as a blade missed his head by an inch, he tried to backhand only for the assailant to jump over him and land next to Kron.
It was Raven with her mask on, she turned to Kron. "You were supposed to wait in your room."
"I got bored." He shrugged.
She sighed and eyed Hazel. She heard their conversation and was willing to let Kron kill him, but it looked like he was going to speak with him instead. She couldn't risk Kron fighting him now, he would let him talk and she couldn't afford for Kron to even suspect what she did.
"So it's true you are with Raven." The brute stated as he reached into his pouches. Fighting Raven might be doable but not Kron or definitely both. He was considering calling in the beast.
Luckily for him, Raven couldn't afford to let them fight.
"Leave him to me." She took a stance as she placed Omen in its sheathe to change its blade to a different dust blade.
"What? No!" Kron yelled. "I didn't get to finish my fight with him, so stay out of this." He demanded.
Raven turned to Kron, she took off her mask a bit and made sure Hazel couldn't see her face but Kron could. Her eye glowed a fiery red. "Do. Not. Argue."
That scared Kron more than he liked to admit but at the same time it made his blood boil and it demanded he fights. But he knew he couldn't risk it. "Fine, he's not worth my time anymore anyway."
In the past, she assumed that was just his ego talking but after seeing him kick Hazel, arguably Salem's strongest subordinate like a ragdoll it was true. If he took fighting as seriously as she did Hazel would be dead in at most a few minutes. She needed him in the tribe.
Hazel looked at her with an almost pity stare.
"Raven, if you stay out of our way I can assure you that Salem will leave you and your tribe be."
"I know better than to trust her promises." She stated as she took a stance.
Hazel pulled out two lightning dust crystals and stabbed them into his forearms, yellow veins were in his arms and his eyes glowed yellow.
Kron huffed that he didn't get to have any action but at least he'd get to see if Hazel can stand up to Raven. Though he doubted it.
The two warriors stared at each other for a few seconds.
Raven made the first move as she ran towards the behemoth with her blade on the handle of Omen once she was within reach she started a slash going for his neck.
Hazel rose an arm to block the blade with the dust in his arm and threw a punch.
She ducked underneath it and kicked across his head but as she expected it didn't do much.
The behemoth charged lightning into his left arm and shoved it at Raven.
The swordswoman backflipped as the lightning missed and landed not far from Kron.
The Saiyan looked at her confused. "Something wrong?" This fight should've been over by now.
"Not now." She ran to the man back to the fight.
Hazel smashed his arms on the ground creating a lightning shockwave.
Raven immediately jumped over it and pulled out Omen showing a red blade, showing that it was her fire dust blade, and tried to stab it on top of Hazel's head. But the goliath was quick enough to sway but the blade slashed across his chest, it tore his green shirt and made a long bloody slash that also caught fire.
Hazel didn't react in pain he only backhanded charged with lightning and hit Raven and sent her across the ground, he then ran fueled with the lightning dust, and slammed a lightning-charged fist into Raven's stomach.
This sent an electric surge throughout her body and it made a crater in the ground.
Kron felt an urge to intervene but kept himself in check. She wanted this fight; he didn't know why but it was her choice.
Hazel went for another lightning charged punch, but Raven backflipped as the lightning punch struck the ground, she then put Omen in its sheathe and pulled out a blue blade, and slashed up the giant's arm encasing it in ice, the brute used his free arm to toss lightning at her and Raven dodged. He then quickly pulled out a fire dust crystal and stabbed it into his right shoulder allowing his right arm to use fire. It melted the ice freeing his arm.
Raven had her blade sheathed, this fight was more difficult than she thought, without the maiden power it was difficult to bring Hazel down. His Aura recharges frequently and his semblance makes it difficult to find openings. She sees a fireball coming, she pulls out a dark orange blade, made of earth dust and slashed it upward creating a wall of rock in front of her to shield her from the fire.
Hazel ran towards her and slammed his shoulder through the wall and attempted to grab her only for her to jump over the strike and land behind him.
Raven then kicked the back of his knee to make him fall forward and tried to slash at his neck.
But the brute was quick to rose his arm and block it using the dust crystal at his forearm and tried to backhand.
Raven jumped over it and landed on the other side.
Hazel stood up, she's too fast, he'll need to slow her down. He pulled out an ice dust crystal and stabbed it into his forearm.
He then ran towards her faster thanks to the lightning dust flowing through his body.
Raven rolled out of the way as the brute threw a gigantic punch.
But Hazel waved his hand creating a small blizzard wave.
The bandit lord felt her leg encased in ice and before she could react Hazel threw a punch powered by ice.
Raven stabbed the ground and pulled herself out of the way as Hazel punched an abandoned building encasing a portion of it in ice.
Hazel turned his head at the bandit using the heat from her fire dust blade Omen to heat the ice.
Thinking quickly, he fired electricity at her.
Raven waved her blade upward creating a fire slash, once the two interacted it created an explosion of fire and lightning.
It blew the two opponents away from each other, Raven fought to stay conscious as she used her fire blade Omen to heat up the ice and set her leg free.
She looked ahead and couldn't see Hazel, he was likely running around the buildings trying to sneak attack her. This is taking too long.
Kron walked next to the woman. "This is new, since when do you play with your food?"
Raven turned to him, she knew it was a long shot but she needed this fight over now, Salem wouldn't just send Hazel on his own to deal with someone like Kron when they at least knew she was involved. "Kron when I signal fire your Berringel Burst at him."
Kron looked confused. "What? Why?"
"Just do it, we need him to finish him now."
The Saiyan looked at her for a few seconds and then shook his head. "No"
"Kron now isn't the time for you to treat fighting like a game. He's probably not alone there could be others waiting, we need to finished him, now."
He rolled his eyes. "If you need him gone why not just kill him yourself? Use that power you have."
"I'll explain later! Just finish him when I signal."
Kron glared at her for demanding that, this was one of the things he found infuriating about Raven she acts like a Saiyan but sometimes she wanted help from others, which is not the Saiyan way at all. "If you're going to steal my fight then you're going to fight on your own like a warrior. Besides your playing with him right now. " He wanted her to back up her words, to live up to the ideals she claims to believe in.
Raven growled but turned to where she sent Hazel, she had to focus on the fight.
At the side of the building, Hazel punched the ground using the ice dust in his veins to create a glacier from the ground towards Raven and Kron.
The master and student jumped out of the way as the wall of ice rose from the ground.
Kron sat on a building and continued to watch the fight.
Raven was standing in the middle of the road and eyed where the wall of ice sprouted from.
Hazel walked towards Raven with the many crystals on his body and he stopped. All he needs to do is tell Kron what Raven did and then it'll cause them to fight and maybe even side with him. But to do that he'll need to either kill or get Raven out of the way. Luckily, he had what he needed in the sky. He pressed against his ear. "Come and kill the woman in red and black."
The bandit lord saw him whisper, he had help? Where? She looked around then at Kron to see if there were any assailants only to find none, she then heard loud flapping up above. She looked up in the sky to see something coming.
It was a Grimm a Manticore was flying down to her and it didn't look normal. It had the white bone mask that all Grimm had only it had green spikes over it's back with glowing green in it's mouth and eyes. It looked more vicious than any of the Grimm she's seen. She felt like using her Maiden abilities but could not risk for fear of Salem watching somehow or Hazel getting the chance to get away to tell her.
She rose a blade ready to defend herself.
And then Kron appeared above her.
The mutated Manticore tried to lunge its jaw down on the boy.
Kron grinned and rose his arms and legs against the jaws of the enhanced Grimm.
Raven watched as the nine-year-old was able to push against the jaws of the monster and he was able to hold it back from advancing further despite the tremendous size the beast had.
Hazel looked surprised too, the boy had progressed this much? He was lucky to be fighting Raven instead. Even if he does tell him what Raven did, what would he have to do to take him with him? He can't do it by force? He'll have to hope the manticore can beat him.
Kron grinned as he was barely able to push the creature, he glanced down at Raven below. "Grr, hey Raven!" He yelled and struggled as the creature was pushing down on him. "You can have Hazel, as long as I get to have this! Deal?" He chuckled as he was having a hard time dealing with the monster.
Raven looked at Kron, he looked like he was a child asking for a new toy. She would rather help him kill the beast, but this works out. Even if Salem commanded this odd-looking Grimm it can't tell him her actions, while she deals with Hazel. "Fine"
The Saiyan chuckled as he stared back into the creature's mouth and fired energy out of his own MOUTH.
The Manticore flew up as it tried to force the child out of its mouth.
Raven turned to Hazel who seemed ready to continue. "Looks like you underestimated both of us."
Hazel stared at her angry that their plan didn't work. "That boy has tremendous power, when he finds out what you've done how do you intend to control him?"
The woman just kept a stoic expression not answering. So she was right they did know, they must be working with the Crown, where else could they have gotten that info from?
"Stay out of our way and Salem will make sure he cannot threaten you."
Raven put her blade in her sheathe and ran towards him while selecting a new blade for Omen.
Hazel expected this and ran towards his enemy.
Huh, the first chapter I wrote where Kron didn't get a fight scene. At least much of one. Feels strange, hope u guys liked it at least.
Well, Raven's plan might not have been as good as she thought. She didn't count on Kron taking his time and now Hazel might tell him. If the Grimm doesn't knock him out first.
I actually had fun writing Raven's fight scene, it feels kinda nice writing a fight scene between RWBY characters instead of with my OC and we'll see the rest of it next chapter.
That being said I do hope u guys enjoyed it along with the rest of the chapter.
And don't worry next chapter we'll see our Saiyan fight. Also the chapter is probably going to be my longest one so far. Gotta end it right y'know? Hope u guys are looking forward to it and hope u can wait a little bit longer.
I guess there's not much more to say.
Review Responses.
BunkerfreakHD: Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed the story and like Kron's character, though Super Saiyan isn't going to be here for a long while, he definitely would break the story if he got it anytime soon. Still hope you'll enjoy it though.
Power Scale: I prefer not to debate about power levels, you are free to list them if you want I won't dispute them, I just rather not get into them, hope you're ok with that. But u r right from Raven's view Kron's increase in power is small by Saiyan standards but by human standards is something to worry about. As for Ozpin, he is aware of him it's just that Kron is in Anima, the largest continent and the continent that Leo Lionheart, Salem's double agent is overseeing and he won't be passing valuable information on his location so there's nothing much to say about Ozpin worrying about him simply because Ozpin has proven he can't stay on top of everything. Like the Spring Maiden, she left Lionheart's care over a decade before the events of Volume 3, clearly, he can't be aware or take action on everything.
Neskes: Thank you, I apologize u have to wait so long.
Kibi345. Ch. 15 all we know is Saiyans need a full moon, we haven't had an example of a Saiyan using a broken moon. Ch.1 Kron is a pun on corn. Actually in the Broly movie, Frieza revealed that the Vegeta we know and love is Vegeta the 4th, making his father the third. I don't always use the official source material but every now and then I'll use the newer canon instead of the old canon I think most of us can remember.
Slayer78: Thank you man I really appreciate the praise but I still think this story has a long way to go. One more chapter to go and you'll see what I have. Keep in mind he won't exactly join beacon but Team RWBY will definitely have a good share of the spotlight. It won't just be ONLY Kron's show anymore, I hope you'll enjoy it when it's time.
jnautking: Glad u liked it! Well not exactly, see Kron is in an underground fighting arena in Kutsinashi, it's another city on Anima, it's stated to be where pretty much the worst people go to, so if there was say an illegal fighting ring it'd be there. The city you thinking of is Mistral, that's where Pyrrha fought in her tournaments. Kind of a good thing he's not fighting in those tournaments with the enemies he has. Also, thank u I hope u stay safe and healthy to.
Guest: To each their own.
fightingchampion: PM'd you. Most Saiyans in this position wouldn't see it that way or be a bit grateful since her intention was to trick him into being loyal not make him stronger, it's too far of a reach in my opinion.
RedLanternReader: Ya Raven believes that at worst she'll just have to kill Kron which she's able to do since Kron's not quite Maiden level yet, and sadly or not sadly depending on how u see it she'd be willing to, she's proven she will risk anyone she cares about for a chance to survive Salem. Who knows Kron might figure it out, he is more of a thinker than most Saiyans and when he does he might not make the smartest choice, he does give in to his anger a lot. Lol, hey man Raven did have a hand in ruining Kron's relationship with Kali making him think she was the one who tricked him so I don't think anyone can fault you for that lol.
epantoja521: Raven is really great at scheming and has a history of manipulating people she cares about all because she's scared. Ya your not wrong, he's got nowhere else to go. And even worse, he can't escape her, if he were to run she can just portal to him and kill him even in his sleep. Raven's not exactly giving him a choice like he thinks he has, if he refuses to join she'll kill him as she can't risk him going unchecked and captured by Salem. It's a terrible situation indeed.
Runeion: Thank you! Glad u didn't see part of that coming at least. Ya I agree with all that, yelling the attack names gives them more meaning plus it just sounds cool. It was just a little fun I'm sure that in the world of RWBY plenty of characters will wonder or ask why Goku yells 'Kamehameha', it'd be a fun conversation. And don't worry Kron definitely won't outgrow yelling attack names, it's a dbz crossover after all and he won't be the only one doing it. Well that will be revealed later, I'll just be leaving hints until the reveal, don't worry you'll get you answer, wouldn't want to spoil the fun.
GloGang214: Lol, I'm sure no one blames u man, hope your enjoying the story.
ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank u glad u enjoyed it. Ok cool, I was wondering cause no one said anything. Well, Raven's busy and Kron's got quite the beast on his hands.
Glad u think so, I'll hope you enjoyed this chapter and my coming Saga finale.
johan641xd: Well poisons can at least work on Saiyans as we seen with Gohan fighting Lavender and Goku being struck by Frost. Maybe they can't die from it but at least it can work. Raven was just giving examples of how his adversaries might 'cheat' to capture or kill him theres no plans on poisoning Kron so far. But thank u for letting me know, I'll be sure to remember that.
Guest: Well he's got no real reason to think he's not, the only thing that makes him think that he might not be is just the moon. So far he assumes that the PTO got their info wrong or outdated. Plus maybe this is this story's version of Earth in the DBZ universe or it might be the wrong planet. You'll see.
Guest: Raven had killed the previous Spring Maiden after bonding with her and used her daughter as a distraction just to get a relic after abandoning her, so I believe she'd definitely do this. Well if Kron were to find out, he'll know he can trust Kali, just not Raven and that definitely wouldn't be a bad thing. Never trust Raven lol. Ya it's kinda how some people feel for Omni Man from Invincible, he was doing what his people would want him to do but his family made him more human. Kinda what Kali was doing for Kron she was making Kron more open and less vicious, if only she could've raised him. No prob man, u can blame whoever u want I was only letting u know that their goal at the time wasn't to join the White Fang, I only wanted to clear up a misunderstanding. Regardless of who u blame, I hope ur enjoying the story. And thank u for coming to read it.
God damn everybody, that was a lot of reviews, the most reviews I've gotten ever. Thank you guys, I really love that this many of u care to share your thoughts about my story. Of course, feel free to give me any criticism you can offer, I really appreciate it, and let me know if u think of this chapter. I hope I get at least have as many reviews as this one did.
Now like I said my last chapter before the hiatus is coming. And I'm sorry that my writing schedule feels like a hiatus, I just had a lot to take care of but I will try harder to commit to a schedule, I hope u guys can be patient with me.
See you for the Saga finale. What should I name this saga? I'm thinking Early Years Saga, let me know if you guys can think of anything better.
Guess that's it.
Have an awesome day! :)
