Here we are, the arc's finale before our timeskip.

Ok, now then. We're here. The finale to our long saga. It was longer than I intended, but I think I did a decent job. It is my longest chapter to date, over 11,000 words long. Think of it like an anime movie or hour special, only not as good LOL. I am excited to show what I wrote and hope you guys enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing.
Thank you for sticking with me this long, now I present you the finale of the first saga.

Finally Free
Kutsinashi was a city that was well known for trouble, theft, murder, most crimes went under the radar here. And so when hordes of Grimm attack the Huntsman protect the crimelords and upper class of the city, almost leaving the common townsman to fend for themselves.
The green crystal-covered Manticore roared as it flew with Kron in its mouth.
All citizens ran as Kutsinashi was being threatened by the giant monster.
Eventually, the creature managed to shake off Kron and sent him flinging across the ground, he rolled until he flipped and stood up to face the monster.
Kron eyed the enormous beast, it was larger than any of the Grimm he faced, it was stronger than the Alpha Ursa he killed and it was unique with the green crystals on its body. Whatever it is he wanted to test himself against it.
"Hope you're ready." Kron grinned as he looked at the monster.
The Manticore tackled him with great speed.
Kron jumped upwards as the beast approached him, he then flipped downwards and performed an axe kick on top of the beast's head.
The creature felt the impact as it screamed and its head tilted down.
Angry, the creature swiped its claw and landed a strike at the child and it sent him skidding on the ground.
Kron pushed himself off the ground and saw his blood on the ground. He felt his forehead where he was bleeding from. He hasn't felt this since the Alpha Ursa. He chuckled, he was excited, he looked to see the creature tackling again.
Immediately he dashed to the side as the creature crashed into a building turning it into rubble, the people in the town, civilians, huntsman, assassins, and thieves alike scatter trying to get away from the battle.
The creature paid them no mind and glared at Kron.
Which the Saiyan noticed, normally the Grimm didn't target anyone, they usually kill the closest living person, but this thing was focused on him. Was it because he's the most dangerous threat? Not like it mattered.
The Manticore crashed on the ground in front of Kron and swung its stinger tail at him.
Kron jumped as the tail stabbed the ground, he ran under the monster's chin and jumped to uppercut it, he then flew to the side of its face and punched one side, he then dashed to the other side and punched it again, he then flew above it and kicked down its head.
He chuckled, this felt like a real fight, he's enjoyed his fights in the arena but this fight he's struggling and enjoying. Once he kills it he'll grow even stronger. As he was laughing he sees a giant claw coming at him.
The Grimm roared as it slammed its claw down on top of him, but it didn't flatten him, Kron was on the ground holding its claw up.
"Damn it!" Kron yelled as he got pounded into the ground, the creature then lifted up its paw and slammed it down on him.
The Saiyan grunted from the pain, his pupils were dilating and he coughed up some blood.
With a roar, the Manticore then brought down its head to bite him.
The Saiyan got up and rolled out of the way as the creature was about to eat him. He recognized that the giant monster was freakishly strong, he aimed and fired two energy waves hitting the creature in the eyes.
It closed its eyes and stumbled backward from the pain.
Kron grinned and rose his hands, he created two small red energy balls. He was ready to finish the creature with his signature the Berringer Burst.
But Kron stopped and jumped away from the strike from the creature, he looked to see its eyes still closed as it swung a claw at him sending him to the ground.
His head hit the ground, he looked up and rolled back as it slammed its front paw where he was. He looked at the creature, it's eyes were still closed it must have a good sense of smell like he did.
The Manticore can fight him blind to!
'Ok, this is going to be harder than expected.' He thought, and sees the creature try to bite him, he jumps above it's mouth and was ready to axe kick it's nose only to see it strike it's green stinger tail at him. He caught it in both hands as it pushed him to the ground.
So it's large, stronger than him, almost as fast as him, and can fight him without eyes. He'll need another plan.
It roared as it was going to charge at him.
Kron dodged its strike and was careful to dodge most of its attacks. He'll need time to fire an attack at full power to kill it, and this thing was unrelenting.
The Manticore swiped with its tail knocking him on the ground.
Kron got up as it slammed its claw where he was lying and fired a Ki blast aiming for its eye again.
It hit making the creature scream and practically blinded the creature
Kron chuckled but the creature backhanded making him crash against a crumbling building. He groaned as he got himself up preparing to fight again. 'I definitely need a new plan.'
Raven turned her head to see Kron struggling against the mutated Manticore, it was clear that he was struggling, she needed to intervene.
She then turned to her opponent and dodged as Hazel tossed a fireball at her.
Kron will either die or be captured at this rate. She was hoping that Hazel came along, she'll have to resort to her backup plan. She quickly pulled out her scroll and sent a message to Vernal.
Hazel charged again and threw lightning.
The bandit leader put her scroll back in her pocket and jumped out of the way of a lightning bolt.
The brute ran forward with the Lightning Dust increasing his speed and he threw a punch into Raven's stomach.
Raven's back hit the building behind her causing a huge crack and electricity flowed through her body from the lightning-infused punch.
Hazel looked down at her, she was a bandit, who had fooled Kron into being loyal, he had no qualms about killing her. He rose his other arm ready to form a fireball to her face.
But the bandit seemed to vanish.
The brute looked stunned for a moment, but then he sees a little blackbird flying above him he rose his arms.
The bird transformed into Raven and she swung her Ice Dust blade down at him.
Hazel looked up at her as he blocked with his arm with the fire dust crystal attached, he almost forgot about her ability.
Raven then kicked on top of his face to jump over him, as she was falling behind him she slashed her blade making a lightning slash across his back making him fall over.
Hazel growled and turned around yelling preparing a lightning ball to throw at her, but he stopped.
She was gone.
The brute looked around, there were plenty of alleys to hide in, he knew better than to try finding her. She'll likely try some sneak attack, or better yet retreating. He looked around not giving her what she wanted, but then a thought came to him. He turned to see Kron fighting the Manticore a block away.
Maybe she's trying to help him kill it?
As Hazel was trying to contemplate while staying on guard, a small raven flew behind him and it shapeshifted into Raven. She then cut open a portal behind him.
Hazel turned around and was surprised to see the red and black portal. Raven then used a fraction of her maiden powers to speed blitz in front of the brute and kicked the large man's chest.
The brute noticed too late as he was pushed into the portal and he yelled as it closed.
Far Away
Hazel fell on his back and cursed that Raven was able to push him through her portal. The question is where did she portal him to? He got up quickly and turned around.
There was a woman with short black hair with at least a dozen bandits surrounding him.
"Hope you aren't too tired from fighting the boss." Vernal made fun of as she pulled out her rings.
Hazel got into a fighting stance and didn't say anything. But the bandit was right, the fight with Raven really tired him out.
On top of that, he left the boy to contend with the mutated manticore along with Raven. The monster was strong, maybe too strong. Even if Kron can't kill it and the creature bests him, he needs to order the beast to stop before it kills him, on top of that Raven will no doubt help the boy.
He needed to escape and find his way back to Kutsinashi before it kills the boy.
Raven panted, that was difficult, without her maiden powers Hazel was a force to be reckoned with. She turned her head to see Kron no longer fighting back but avoiding the giant monster.
That wasn't good, she can't just rely on the boy's power, she'll need him to cooperate if they want to kill it. He's been struggling with the beast for a while.
Kron finally managed to get some distance from the beast and formed two tiny red energy spheres in his hands. If he concentrated his power into a single point it should kill the beast. His Berringel Burst will be enough to kill it.
But then a portal opened and a hand came out of it to grab his arm.
The Saiyan turned to see Raven stepping out of the portal. "What are you doing?"
"Don't be a fool." Raven scolded. "Your attack may be strong enough to kill it, but if you miss, it'll be the end of you."
Kron growled but knew she was right, this thing is fast enough to avoid his attack, he was just getting desperate as this Grimm was the most vicious he fought.
"Listen, I can kill it but we need to do something first."
"No way, it's mine to kill now ba-"
She covered his mouth and looked to see her mask, he's close enough to see the red flaming light coming out of them showing that power he can't identify. "Shut up right now!"
Kron wanted to keep talking but knew better, he sees the creature flying towards them.
The Saiyan looked at her. "What is it?"
Good, now she can explain. "We need to bring this thing outside of the town, you have to lure it away."
"Why's that?"
"Just do it!"
Kron wanted to argue more but realized that this thing will be able to ruin him as the Alpha Ursa did. With an annoyed expression, he flew a bit over the town and flew as fast as he could with the creature chasing not far behind.
On the way out of the town, Kron thought of the situation today. This made no sense, first Raven stole his fight with Hazel and wouldn't let him talk. Then Raven refuses to use her power despite going on and on about finishing the opponent as quickly as possible instead of playing with them. But she seemed to have played with Hazel and now she won't even use it on the beast.
'Whatever, I am not going to be captured again!' Kron turned his head to see the monster still chasing him. He hated this tactic, true Saiyans should be able to finish the enemy on their own, he shouldn't need Raven. But he remembered what she said.
'What about living to fight another day?'
He squeezed his fists, she was right. If he lets himself die then all his done, all he survived, would be for nothing. Better to go along with her plan for now.
They were finally out of the town and the creature started swiping at the Saiyan and he barely dodged.
Luckily while the creature was stronger than Kron, the Saiyan was still slightly faster than the mutated Manticore and it was enough for him to dodge its strikes.
'If I only I had the great ape form!' He thought as the monster swatted only to miss again, then a portal opened in front of him and Raven walked out of it with her hand raised. "That's far enough."
Kron stopped beside her panting and looked around, they were pretty far from Kutsinashi, just like she wanted. "Ok, we're here now what?"
"Now, stay out of this," Raven demanded.
The Saiyan was about to argue that this was his fight and wanted to at least be a part of it but knew better than to argue with his mentor. He squeezed his fists angrily.
Her reason for wanting the creature out of the city was simple. She can kill the beast with her Maiden powers and she wanted to make sure no one whether they were Salem's agents or someone in the city. Once he's out of the city she'll be able to use her power without any witnesses. Now she's safe to use her full power.
The Manticore turned towards Raven and Kron and roared. The beast charged at them.
And Raven was ready, she floated using her Maiden abilities.
Kron watched her and was surprised. He had no idea she could fly, it must be this strange power she has.
Raven then dashed at the beast with speed faster than the eye could track.
Even Kron could barely see her move.
The Spring Maiden floated before the creature.
The Manticore tried to swat only for Raven to avoid it. She then put a hand on it and turned its claw into ice.
The creature roared in pain as its entire leg was in ice. It then tried to bite at her.
But Raven was quicker and got on top of the creature's nose and slashed at it's other eye enhanced with fire magic as well as Fire Dust.
It roared as it became blind, both eyes were destroyed and now it was screaming in pain. It breathed green fire as it tried to kill its target.
But Raven used her speed to go over the creature and stab it right in its head, she then used her maiden's magic to increase the potency of the blade and run while dragging it across the monster's giant neck.
It roared one final time as its head was cut off.
Raven jumped down in front of it and watched the monster wither away. She sighed as if she was glad, it was over. She turned to see Kron with an expected expression. He was surprised that she managed to kill the beast so easily and realized how far ahead she was.
The woman put the blade in its sheathe and walked up to him as it vanished behind her.
Kron couldn't help but be awed, her speed, her power it was still a higher league than he was. He was frustrated and elated at once, frustrated that this human was still stronger than him and excited that there was still someone on the planet to surpass.
Raven turned to Kron and glared. "I'm disappointed Kron, you clearly weren't using your head in this fight."
"Tch" The Saiyan glared.
"If you had bided your time you could've found a weak point to exploit, but instead you tried to outmuscle it like you usually do." She lectured.
"I was going to kill it but you got in the way." He was going to have it ready.
"No, you lost patience and tried to do something desperate, you didn't use your head enough."
Kron squeezed his hands but kept quiet, she was right, his head wasn't completely on the fight.
"Let this be a lesson to you, always look for the weak point of your opponent. Even if they are stronger than you, they will have an opening for you to exploit" Raven lectured, she hoped that this would go through his thick skull.
Kron squeezed his fists and sighed. He didn't say anything.
"Let's go, you need rest Kron, we'll talk in the morning."
Kron nodded as he was exhausted and needed to get some rest. As they walked Kron asked. "So do you know who sent Hazel and that monster?"
Raven glanced down at him as they walked. "I'll tell you everything tomorrow, ok?"
"Fine" The Saiyan kept walking, he wanted answers but he was too tired to care. He had quite the day today.
She decided to ask something important. "Was there anything that Hazel told you?"
"No, you interrupted him."
"It's a good thing I did, he probably would've gotten inside your head." She reasoned. "He might have already."
In a way she wasn't wrong. Kron has been wondering what he was trying to say.
"Get it out of your head, whatever he had to say was just trying to entice to join his side, understand?"
Kron was about to follow Raven to wherever she was leading him next.
As they walked Raven kept talking. "Also, when I tell you to stay where you are, you will do just that. Understand?"
He heard that and looked at her. "Fine, I-" He paused for a moment.
"Kron?" Raven asked why he stopped talking.
The Saiyan stopped moving for a few moments, Raven was right his head wasn't completely in the fight. He thought of the long day he had and a nagging feeling in his head that he's felt since he started that walk before Hazel confronted him.
Raven did as well and turned to her student. "What are you doing?"
"I had quite the fight today, I need to relax."
She rose an eyebrow. "We don't have time, we need to get out of plain sight, you can rest afterward."
Kron looked at her and just lay down. "I need to rest, while there are no enemies around." Though Kali tricked him she did have a good point. Know when to rest and when to train. It wouldn't be the first time he used advice from someone he hated.
Raven looked at the boy, it was light, it's definitely past midnight at this point, she thought of the situation. They had to stay out of Salem's radar, whatever that Grimm was, it wasn't normal. And it did take more effort than the usual Grimm. But she's still on his good side and would rather keep it. Hazel is either dealt with or escaped Vernal if there was a time to rest it would be now.
"Fine, rest for a few hours but then we're going. Got it?"
"Yes"
Raven looked at the boy lying and down and so she sat by a tree and looked at her protégé lying down. Hopefully today he realizes that her tribe is his best chance like her Kron is not about sentimentality, but the truth. And the truth is his best option is to come with her to her tribe. He must know after fighting that manticore, whatever it was Salem will send more. It was why she lied to him, yes she wanted his power but she also cared for him and wanted him to avoid the fate Salem had in store for him. And she'll make sure to take that secret to the grave.
Kron wasn't telling the whole truth, yes his energy was diminished from the fight but he also needed time to think. He didn't want to rush into anything, only because he'd die if he did. Before he could decide what to do he has to figure some things out first. He's learned the folly of relying on brute force. It doesn't end well, usually.
And so he's trying to look before he leaps.
He fought not to drift to sleep and think of the facts and his current suspicion.
Hazel managed to get away from the Branwen Tribe after dropping plenty of their members. He sighed heavily and thought of what to do next.
From the looks of it, he was still in Anima but he won't reach Kutsinashi anytime soon, the Grimm will likely kill Kron and drag his body to Salem. An outcome he preferred to avoid both for the child's sake and for Salem's cause. He'll need to report to her what had happened.
And remember to mention the Crown not giving him support in taking him. Telling him that the info of Raven was enough and they didn't want to risk manpower.
He shook his head, he needed to report to his mistress the longer he delays the less likely he'll walk away without a scratch.
Kron awoke from his nap and stood up. He looked to see Raven just lying her back against a tree with her arms crossed.
He thought long and hard, he's made his choice. He knows for sure what happened, he had a plan and was eager to put it into action. It was risky but it was his best chance, he'll make it work, he has to.
But before that, he needs to do something first.
He looked at Raven who was standing up with a calm expression.
"Good morning Kron, are you ready?" She asked.
Calm, be calm, he had to be calm. First, he needed to confirm something.
"Before we go anywhere, I need to ask some questions."
Raven fought not to sigh, she rather they get moving so Salem's forces don't try to locate them. "What is it?"
Kron restrained himself he needed to confirm his questions first.
"You were able to tell that I wasn't in my room right away right?"
That question came out of nowhere. "Yes, not only can I portal to you, but I can also locate you and tell if you're in danger."
That means running wouldn't be an option even if he wanted to. All the more reason to make his plan work.
"So no matter how far away I am, you can tell which direction I am and my location right?"
These questions were worrisome, she wanted to twist the truth but knew that would be pointless. He's trying to hide it but he's furious and trying not to attack her. He's really figuring it out, she had to be honest and find a way to keep her facade for her and Kron's sake. "Yes, I could."
That confirmed one thing, the group with the Alpha Ursa had to know from someone.
"I see" Kron sighed, it was all he needed to know. He thought of everything he needed to do. It's a long shot but it's better than the alternative. "Raven I have an answer for you."
Raven kept a calm face, she wanted to believe he made the right choice, but she knew better. "What is it?"
The Saiyan then ran at her with a murderous glare and threw a kick only for Raven to block it with her raised sword.
Raven barely saw the attack coming she looked at his face, he looked ferocious. She pulled back her blade and tried to slash his shoulder but he was able to fly out of range and land a few feet across from her.
There was no doubt he at least suspected her but she kept up her act. She couldn't afford to lose him now. "What are you doing? What was that?" She sounded surprised, almost anyone would fall for her act.
Kron squeezed his fists in rage. "How much of an idiot… do you think I am?!" He yelled.
He's as furious as she imagined but she kept up the ruse. "What are you ta-"
"Shut up!" He tossed an energy blast which she side-stepped as it knocked down a tree.
The Saiyan stopped and forced himself to calm down, he had a plan and shouldn't waste energy.
Raven kept herself calm much better than her protégé. Though her plan may go up in smoke she had to try to make it work somehow. If not she'll do what needs to be done, Kron is too valuable of an asset to just toss away and she didn't want to lose the child she raised. She tried to reason with him once she sees that he was calming himself down.
"Kron, listen, whatever you're thinking you need to stop, why are you doing this?" She knew why, she just had to convince him that he was jumping to conclusions.
Kron chuckled. "Raven, I know it was you, you sent the Crown after me with their Ursa and YOU told Ghira where I was! I know that's what happened!"
He sounded like he knew that but Hazel couldn't have told him. Raven kept her façade keeping her poker face. "Kron, how would that make sense? I've done nothing but help you, don't you think I want you at my side?"
Kron was getting angrier hearing her try to cover it up. And while he did want to kill her he didn't want her to think he was an idiot. So he decided to explain to her his reasoning.
"Only two people knew I was on that island where I fought the Alpha Ursa." He explained. "Hazel and you. No one else knew where I was and they clearly weren't working for Hazel or Tyrian, you sent them at me and then pretended to save me!"
Raven continued to try to reason with him. "Listen to me! I-"
"Shut up!" He didn't fire energy this time, he needed to conserve as much as possible otherwise he'd get killed. "You also told me you were holding off Ghira and his men while I was recuperating at his home. The only way he could've known I was there was if you had him know."
Raven heard this and had to admit, while he didn't have any real evidence, he had decent reasonings for this assumption. She hoped that he would be too angry or enjoying his time with her to think about it all, but she was wrong.
"You tricked me you-" He thought of Kali, she never tricked him, she meant everything she said and did. She never tricked him. Kali gave him so much and he believed she tricked him. And Raven let him think that!
Calm down. He repeated over and over. He needed to be dethatched and focus on the fight.
Kron took his stance. "We're done talking, I'm going to break you alive, take you to your tribe and drown you in their blood!"
Raven's eyes widened she had never seen him so angry before, not directed at her anyway, she couldn't talk her way out of this right now, she had to subdue him. She took out her weapon and looked at the boy. Either she must convince him that he is assuming or kill him. Either way, she can't let him go, Salem will capture him, and she can't allow that, no matter what.
Kron looked at his opponent trying to calm his emotions, he needed to focus otherwise he's dead. But he planned during his time resting and knew it could work. He just needed one opening.
He then dashed towards her at full speed to start the fight.
Raven sees him coming and has her weapon ready.
Kron threw a fist as Raven slashed with her blade from the side.
The Saiyan pulled back his fist as the blade missed his arm.
Raven was surprised he had fooled her with a feint.
Kron then swept kick only for his mentor to backflip as he missed, she then jumped off a tree towards him and swung her blade.
He ducked underneath the blade and she landed behind him and swept kicked him to and it landed making fall on his back.
Kron looked up and rolled out of the way as she stomped the ground intending to knock him out.
He then put his hands at his side and formed two large energy spheres. They then separated into five each forming ten energy spheres floating at his back.
Raven eyed the ten energy blasts, she's seen this technique enough times.
He pointed all ten of his fingers at her sending the orbs at her. "Guided Swarm!"
Even angry he's yelling his technique's name.
Raven ran as the orbs followed her as she did she looked at Kron who was moving all his fingers aiming them at her.
With a grin, Kron rose one hand and swung it forward.
Five of the energy orbs dashed above her and were in front of her.
Raven immediately stopped and turned around to see the other five had stopped behind her.
Kron pressed his hands together making the surrounding orbs surround her with know way out.
She couldn't help but admire the control he's displaying with this technique each orb is controlled by one finger and Kron can command them with just his fingers before he'd use one hand to use five at once, it's a good technique to catch most opponents.
Most opponents.
Raven put her blade into its sheath and pulled out a dark orange blade, it had Earth Dust, she swung it in a circle to create walls of rock.
Kron moved one finger up as nine energy orbs hit the surrounding rock causing small explosions that destroyed her rock shield. "Figures she can get out of that." Even if they hit they wouldn't have caused much damage. Kron moved one hand with a finger and pointed up his finger glowed. He wasn't sure if it would but it's his best chance, now he just had to wait for the right opportunity.
As the smoke cleared Raven sheathed her blade and walked forward. "Kron listen to me I-"
"Die!" Kron fired a red energy wave.
And of course, Raven sidestepped out of the way as it made a tree fall over. She sees him coming at her.
The swordswoman sheathed her blade and pulled out Omen's red blade showing fire dust.
Kron was up close and tried to kick her abdomen.
Raven quickly swayed out of the way and performed a slash.
Kron sidestepped only the blade managed to cut his left shoulder, it cut and burned through his flesh. He grabbed where she had cut him. He remembered when dealing with Adam how he was able to block slashes from him.
'She's not like Adam I have to avoid getting cut by her.' He reasoned and turned to see her slashing.
The Saiyan was now on the defensive, he ducked weaved most of her strikes that were encased with fire.
Raven then quickly sheathed her weapon to change Omen's blade.
Kron used this opportunity to throw a kick.
She knew that was coming and ducked under the kick, she then pulled out Omen to reveal a light blue blade Ice Dust and swung it upwards.
It encased Kron's left arm and leg in ice.
His pupils were shaken as he fell, with his imprisoned arm and leg.
Raven knew that wouldn't be enough so she also stomped on his chest making him yell in pain. She aimed the blade at his neck. And before she could say anything Kron already used his energy to melt and break the ice.
Kron grabbed her foot and quickly stood up and punched her stomach while still holding her leg.
The force made her red Aura glow.
The Saiyan then turned around pulled her by her leg and slammed her on the ground face first.
Before he could do more Raven struck the ground with her blade making a wall of ice rise up and it hit Kron making him fall on his back.
Kron quickly stood up with blood leaking out his mouth and smiling. He was having fun, she hasn't fought seriously yet and he's still having fun.
Raven stood up and jumped on top of her wall of ice. She looked down at the boy surprised at how easily he freed himself of the ice. He really has gotten stronger than she could've expected.
His eyes darted to a different direction for a second as if to make sure something was still there and back up to his opponent. He fired a small energy blast at her wall of ice.
She jumped off it as it shattered once she landed he was in front of her.
He threw a punch only for her to barely sway it, she swung Omen with its Fire Dust blade.
He stopped and jumped back a bit as she slashed.
It still landed across his armor, a cut showed across it with his blood leaking.
Raven charged at him with her weapon raised.
The Saiyan then fired a blast at the ground to create a dust cloud around the two.
Raven covered her eyes as the dust surrounded her. She looked ahead not bothered by the fact she can't see him.
She swayed her head, a kick from behind almost hit her head and she turned around and pulled out Omen which had a yellow blade, and slashed creating a lightning slash.
Kron immediately crossed his arms to block the lightning. It stung but not enough to really hurt him. 'Just like she said she can locate him wherever I am, so might as well just do frontal assault.'
He threw himself at her and did a knee aimed for her face.
She barely swayed the attack and performed an upward lightning slash across his back, it did a number on his chest armor that Sienna had made for him, cutting it in half but not leaving much of a mark on his skin.
Raven's eyes widened, she remembered back when she trained Kron that she was capable of harming him without her maiden power and now he's able to take her attacks without much wounds.
The Saiyan turned around and fired a Ki blast at her.
She swayed it as it destroyed a tree behind her she looked to see Kron right in front of her.
With a yell Kron kicked her blade out of her hand, Omen struck a tree and he punched her abdomen forcing her to keel over.
Raven's red Aura showed meaning that Kron was really damaging it. He then struck her abdomen with another punch.
Raven's eyes widened from the strike, this time it took the air out of her lungs.
Kron then threw an uppercut up her chin sending her in the air, he then jumped with his leg rising high as he made it above her and performed an axe kick on top of her head breaking her mask and sending her to the ground.
As Raven hit the ground a spider web of cracks beneath her, blood was dripping down her head from where she had been kicked. It's just as she feared, he's stronger than her as she is now, she'll need to use it.
Kron flew downward with his foot down aimed at her head and it created a huge dust cloud along with a small crater. But to his surprise, Raven wasn't there.
He smelled her scent from behind and turned around and it sent chills down his spine.
She had red flames leaking out of her eyes with blood going down her face and a glare. "You won't listen?"
Kron immediately threw a punch only for Raven to catch it.
"Fine." She said quietly.
Kron was about to throw another punch only to be hit across the face and it sent him rolling on the ground until he crashed through a boulder.
The Saiyan stood up his tail waving around violently as he felt both a mixture of panic and excitement through his body. He didn't realize that she was this much stronger even with that weird power. He looked ahead to see Raven standing, then she vanished.
Kron looked around until he saw Raven getting her blade from the tree it was impaled in. This wasn't good, he could barely follow her movements, whatever this power was above anything huntsman or Grimm can do.
She then turned to him and this time she didn't speak she dashed at him at speed hard for him to see.
The Saiyan threw a fist only to miss as Raven kneed him in the stomach making him keel over, she then pulled her leg back and spun kick across his head making him stumble back. She then aimed her hand to use throw a fireball at his chest sending him flying and landing on his back against a tree.
Kron panted from the blows he took and looked ahead as Raven was already close to him, he put his hands on the ground and jumped as she sliced the tree in two.
Raven looked up to see Kron floating above panting heavily.
Kron looked the worse for wear, he's only alive because he's been on the defensive and she doesn't seem to be going for fatal blows. Yet. 'I'll just stay in the air to catch my breath and dodge at a distance.'
Raven looked at the boy she trained. He was getting tired, it won't take much longer.
The Saiyan watched her trying to decide what to do next. Now isn't the time to use his plan, but would he live much longer if he doesn't try it? He also had to focus on her to dodge any projectiles she'd make.
And to his surprise, she didn't fire anything she just vanished and this time Kron couldn't follow her movements.
He looked on the ground trying to figure out where she is.
"Did you think you'd be safe up here?"
Kron heard that voice from behind he yelled as he turned around and threw a punch.
And Raven caught it just like before only this time her hand glowed blue and it covered his hand in ice.
Kron was caught off guard from the cold on his hand and Raven took advantage of that as she kicked into his chest sending him downward until he crashed into a large boulder, before he could get out Raven appeared in front of him with her blade sheathed and both hands out.
She fired ice out of them freezing Kron's arms to the boulder.
Kron screamed from the cold was going to break out only for Raven to aim her blade at his neck.
Raven eyed her student daring him to try something. "We are going to talk, now. Understand?"
Kron shivered from the killed from his prison he could break out but he knew better than to try. Also, he still has one card to play, he just needs to get the timing right. It would do him some good to get her to think she's already won. He nodded though he glared as he did.
Raven sighed and breathed out. "Now, I can see that there's no chance you'll come back to the tribe."
Kron didn't say anything he focused on her trying to think how to get out od this.
"Try to remain calm, I'll tell you what you want to hear."
He didn't say anything as he concentrated energy as quietly as he could. He just looked at her waiting for her to continue running her mouth.
Raven knew it was hopeless to convince him to rejoin him so she'll go for the next best thing. To do that she'll need to be honest.
"Here's the truth." She began. "I did it, I did everything you said."
Kron growled at her and fought the urge to break out of the ice. He knew but somehow hearing her say that made him angrier.
"And do you know why I did it?" She questioned in a frustrated tone which was rare for her. "It's because there's something wrong with you." She seethed.
"What's that?" The Saiyan questioned.
"I trained you, raised you, protected you, and you still planned to kill me, isn't that right?"
Kron's eyes widened at that.
"I can tell by your face it's true." Raven continued. "I wasn't sure it was but now I see it."
He didn't say anything he just tried to keep himself calm and remember why he was doing this. It's just to buy time. Let her talk.
"Honestly I'm not angry, you're just living by the Branwen Tribe's philosophy, your not the only member that wants to kill me either to prove that they're stronger or replace me as a leader." She explained. "Although I do have to ask, why? I trained you, gave you a home, food, raised you as my own, so I have to ask why?"
Kron looked down at her as the blade inched closer to his neck. He did want to kill her growing up, over time though he didn't like the idea. Raven had trained him, given him everything he wanted, more than both his parents combined and even then he still had planned to kill her it would've been his mission. He had no idea she knew. He decided to answer. "To get stronger."
"Funny, you don't want to be in the tribe but you'd fit in better than most," Raven replied. "I knew all along you wanted me dead, I could've killed you but instead I tried to trick you to see me in a light you should've before when I gave you everything. And it was working but you figured everything out first."
He was shocked to know that his intentions were found out, he didn't say anything and just hung there.
"Now let's ask a different question."
The Saiyan growled tired of this but he had to calm himself. He needed time and to wait for the right moment.
"What would you have done to Kali if you didn't need to recover?"
That question wasn't what he expected. And it made him think about what would have he done? He only went with her because he needed a place to recover and didn't want to go back to that hospital. Would he have knocked her and taken the food? What about her daughter Blake would he knock her out to? Would he have accidentally killed them and not feel anything? And why was he bothered by this so much? He shouldn't be! He was a Saiyan, a true warrior, no mercy for the weak. And yet, he didn't like imagining that scenario.
A few seconds pass and no answer.
Raven knew what that meant and decided it was time to try a different approach.
"Kron listen to me." He looked at her with a glare. "There's no shame in it, you understand how the world works, the strong live and the weak die, Kali could never understand that but I do. What you felt for Kali would never be returned, you may think I ruined your bond with her but the truth is she would fear you when she found out about all the lives you stole."
Kron heard that line many times. The strong live and the weak die. It was easy to understand for Saiyans, it was what made Kron want to join her tribe even if most of the bandits were cowards. He killed a lot of huntsmen, and he was preparing for mass genocide. Kali would be disgusted if she found out his intentions.
"Still I admit what I've done to you was awful, but I did it for the Branwen Tribe, for ou-" She wanted to say our family but she knew how Kron felt at this point. "for my family, it's my obligation to protect them."
The Saiyan growled disgusted by that, he always hated her lecture about 'family', that and 'the strong live and the weak die' don't go together. It was like she wanted to be a Saiyan but she was trying to act like there's more to it.'Family' had no place in what she wanted the Branwen Tribe to be. Also, he knew what an actual family was like.
"I have one final offer for you."
Kron looked at her this time with not as much of a glare.
"Show me how to get your power," Raven demanded. "Once I'm able to use it I will let you go and you can do whatever you want. You won't have to see me ever again."
Kron heard this offer and considered taking it. It was clear that she had the upper hand in this fight, with these strange powers she can kill him. The only reason he's alive is that she wants him alive.
Warrior race or not any Saiyan in his position would take it. His father would do it, no surprise being the weakling he is, even his mother a low-class warrior would do it for someone stronger, hell even King Vegeta bows to Frieza. All Saiyans always bowed to those stronger than them sacrificing their freedom to save their skin.
They can't follow their own path.
Kron looked at Raven thinking that he could take the deal to make her stronger and then surpass her later. But that was probably what King Vegeta was thinking when he kneeled for Frieza.
He always wanted to be a Saiyan warrior. Was surrendering what it meant?
Kron thought of the hypocrisy of his goal. He wanted to be a warrior who roam planets and fight their strongest. To be free and able to walk his own path. But doing that meant obeying those stronger than himself. He wouldn't really be following his own path.
He thought back to his father as a prime example of what it meant to 'survive'. 'Kron we are all born with a role to play, perform yours and you will live.'
He remembered those words, he used to think that's what it meant for working-class Saiyans like him. But now he realizes it's meant for all Saiyans, 'warrior' or not.
The Saiyan growled and bit the blade in his mouth, it burned as it was a fire dust blade.
Raven pulled the blade back only for the blade to break.
Kron spat the broken blade he bit and broke free from his ice restrains and got on the ground in front of Raven, and he slowly stood up. "I refuse, I'm done with obeying you or anyone!" He yelled as he took his stance.
Raven looked at the boy and grit her teeth. She didn't want this result, in the past showing her strength was enough to get him in line. But now he practically says he rather die than give her what she needed. It was too bad; she'll have to keep her word to Vernal and finish what she started.
She pressed a button on her handle to discard the broken fire blade and sheathed her weapon to pull out Omen's new yellow blade showing lightning dust.
Kron rose one hand and decided now was the time to test his new move. The technique he created on impulse during his fight with the Alpha Ursa. Now was the time to put his plan into action.
And Raven wasn't going to give him the chance she threw herself forward and brought her blade to his arm intending to cut it off.
But as she did she noticed something. Kron rose one finger on his left hand.
From above a floating energy blast was propelled downward at high speed.
As the blade was about to cut off his right arm the energy sphere hit her hands making her drop her sword again.
And Kron found his opportunity, the energy in his right arm began to take shape into a massive claw, it looked like an ursa claw.
Raven was caught off guard she didn't even know where that attack came from.
"Ursa Claw!" He yelled the name of his new attack. He thrust his arm forward aiming for her stomach.
Raven was still quick though and tried to blitz out of the way, but she did not completely succeed. The Ursa Claw slightly hit her abdomen, though it was only slightly.
Kron made it behind her from the speed of his own attack, the claw shaped Ki faded as he was unable to maintain it, he gripped his arm from the pain, it didn't hurt as much as before which was good he made progress in his technique. But he didn't land the attack, not completely.
He turned his head to see Raven standing.
Raven was shaking she looked down to see a huge gash on the side of her stomach, blood was pouring out. She kneeled and held her side and coughed blood. She turned around her eyes still had the Maiden red flame, but it was flickering.
Kron sees her writhing in pain and chuckles, before giving off a huge laugh. "Yes, I got you! I've done it! Finally!"
The black-haired woman glared at him and aimed at him to send a fireball only it wasn't as powerful or as fast as the last one she sent.
Kron crossed harms to block the fireball and it didn't burn as much nor did it cause a big explosion. He was relatively unharmed from the projectile, he looked at her and grinned. "Looks like" He panted. "you're running on fumes." Ironic considering he's in relatively the same shape.
Raven grabbed Omen and stabbed the ground to help herself up, she looked around while looking at the boy. "What" She coughed. "did you do? Who helped" She coughed again. "where did that come from?"
"No one helped me." Kron chuckled. "Remember when I used Guided Swarm?"
She remembered how she surrounded herself in a shield of rock as the blasts were surrounding them. "I get it, you used all accept one, you must've put one out of sight for later."
The Saiyan smiled proudly that his plan worked now they were on an even playing field. "Like you said, brute force isn't always enough."
She remembered saying that to him the last time they were civil. In that restaurant, she lectured him on not relying on strength to win a fight. And he was using it on her.
"Alright, let's finish this." Kron grinned though he was panting heavily.
Raven pushed herself up with her sword. She can still win, she just has to be on defense until she gets her opening. He believes he'll win and will slip up.
Kron charged at Raven intending this to be the final clash, only he didn't fly he just ran at her he needed to conserve his remaining energy.
Raven held the gash on her body and sees Kron running at her.
The Saiyan threw a backhand chop at her neck.
She ducked under it and backed away trying to get some distance, she was losing a lot of blood and her Aura was barely healing her, it was on its last legs as well as her power, she needs proper focus to utilize it but thanks to her new wound she can't use it to its full potential.
Kron smirked as he knelt down as his tail wrapped around her leg.
Raven looked down and was pulled by the tail and she fell on her back.
Then Kron jumped and smashed his elbow into her wound!
This time Raven screamed and spat blood.
Kron then threw a fist aiming for her wound again.
Raven's eyes glowed a bit and she slammed her hand down.
It made a small ice wall rise and Kron hit the ice instead
Kron cringed from the force and pulled it back. He looked at the ice only a crack, he should be able to shatter it, he was running low, he backed away waiting for her to make her next move.
Raven then stood up with flickering red fire-like eyes, her red Aura was fading in and out. She couldn't use her Maiden powers fully, because of her fatal wound she can't focus properly.
With what little power she could conjure up she created a fire in her hand and placed it on the hole of her abdomen. She cringed as she cauterized her wound.
Kron looked at her and smiled. He's never seen her driven into a corner, and he's the one who's put her there. He ran at her using as little Ki as possible.
Raven sees him coming and raises Omen with its yellow lightning Dust blade, she swings it horizontally ignoring the pain.
The Saiyan ducks underneath it and throws a fist for her wound.
But she saw it coming and sidestepped.
But he stopped short and jumped with a knee out and hit her face.
Raven stumbled back from the hit. She fell for a feint twice.
Kron then threw a kick at her stomach, aimed at her closed wound making her cringe from the pain.
She then grabbed his leg and her eyes glowed, her hand glowed blue creating a thin sheet of ice around his leg.
Kron sees his leg frozen and tries to throw a punch.
But Raven headbutt him.
The Saiyan was caught off guard from that and fell backward. She's never done a headbutt to anyone. Once he hit the ground he sees her blade going straight for his neck, he grabbed it with both hands and felt a shocking pain in his hands.
Raven was pushing with all of her might on her blade. This boy, he's far more dangerous than she could've predicted. He needed to die for her tribe, it was the only safe option. She suppressed the memories she had of him when he was younger, he's too dangerous! He needed to die!
Kron managed to push the lightning dust blade to the side and it pierced the ground.
The Branwen tried to pull her sword out of the ground.
But Kron sat up and grabbed her left hand bringing it closer.
Raven managed to pull Omen out of the ground and thrust with her right.
Kron quickly smashed his elbow into her forearm with what little energy he had left.
CRUNCH!
Raven screamed as she moved back her free arm bent the wrong way and she stumbled back holding her sword in her left hand, she held her right arm fighting the pain. She had to take a knee and had her blade pierce the ground with one hand and coughed up some blood.
The Saiyan then stood up this was it, he can finish her!
He tried to move but stopped and looked down at his left leg, it was still frozen. It was a thin sheet of ice he'd be able to break but, he was running low on energy and needed it for the fight. He turned to Raven, he'll make his way to her dragging his frozen leg.
Raven pushed herself with one hand on her blade and stood up with blood covering her face. She looked at her student and was starting to see double, she was fighting to stay conscious. She looked down at her stomach, she cauterized the wound, but Kron's attack ruptured something.
She needed to get help, now.
Her Aura was recharging, but as it did it immediately focused on healing her wounds. She couldn't just portal her way out. But she looked at Kron who also wasn't in the best condition also that ice on his leg was going to keep him from moving anytime soon.
The black-haired woman sheathed her blade.
Kron is dragging himself towards her.
Raven backed away and put Omen in her sheath to pull out a blue Ice Dust blade. She then rose it with her not broken arm.
Kron kept walking closer with his ice-encased leg. 'As soon as I'm close I'll break her other arm and snap her neck!' He thought as he dragged himself closer to her.
The bandit lord sees that there's no reasoning with the boy, her Aura's not strong enough to use her semblance, she's too exhausted to run, she'd turn into her bird form but with her broken arm, she wouldn't be able to fly away.
Should she try to strike him when he's close? He might be able to reach her first. Her maiden powers aren't working right now so she'll have to rely on her natural speed and in her current condition, she doesn't know if she'll be able to cut him.
Too many risks to consider, she's got one thing to try.
Kron was almost there and was ready. She'll probably swing that blade first, he'll be ready for that.
Before he was close enough for her to reach him Raven brought her sword down and swung around.
The Saiyan blocked expecting a ranged attack but instead, a wall of ice rose and surround Raven. A sphere surrounded her.
"What?" Kron kept walking until he was in front of the ice and yelled as he punched the ice. It was enough to force to cause a small crack but nothing much. "Open up!" He punched the ice again, the crack got bigger but not by much. "Face me!" He punched again increasing the crack's size.
Raven was inside the ice trying to keep calm. From what she's seen before he's not strong enough to break through, but she used up all that was left of her Ice Dust to make this shield. If he breaks through, she's dead.
"Whatever happened to the strong live and the weak die! Was that all talk you, coward!" He slammed his fists on the ice shield. He glared and realized he had one last move, it might kill him but he didn't care he was so close!
Raven sighed with relief he stopped, now she feels her Aura it's not much but enough. She pulls out her blade and cuts open a red and black portal back to her tribe.
"Beringel Burst!"
As she started forcing herself to the portal, the ice wall fell behind her and a small red wave of light hit her from behind and it made her go through the portal.
Once the portal opened Vernal was waiting in terrible shape from the fight with Hazel, around her are three men who survived a fight with Hazel and put him on the run.
She was expecting Raven to just step through the portal but it wasn't that simple.
Raven was flying through the portal with a small red wave of energy blasting her through it. The blast sent Raven to hit a tree and a small explosion.
Vernal looked at her leader on the ground, blood was leaking out of her mouth.
"Raven!" She and her men ran to her.
Raven sees Vernal running to her, if she could talk right now, she would tell her how right she was. She should've killed, if she survives, she will kill him. That boy is too dangerous, and she's allowed him to live too long.
If she lives, she'll portal to him and cut off his head.
It would be best for her family.
Though if she were to die, it best to think of someone who would. She looked over at Vernal as she was running to her, though it looked like in slow motion.
As she was blacking out she tried to think of Vernal but then thoughts of a certain blonde little girl came to mind. She wondered if she had raised Yang, would she have ended up better than Kron?
As Vernal kneeled to her she blacked out.
Kron had his hands out in the position for his technique and he fell on one knee then he fell over.
He couldn't see if it hit her or not. He hoped it did. He started to fall over and hit the ground. He was starting to blackout.
"If I only I could see her dead." That old hag, she needs to pay for the things she's done. If she were alive.
No, she IS alive. Raven is a survivor, no matter what's thrown at her she always comes back.
Kron pushed himself up and looked at his left leg covered in ice. If he stays here he'll die of hypothermia. He looked ahead to see a fire on a small bush. Probably from the fire Raven was throwing around with that weird power.
The Saiyan crawled over, it took all his might not to give in to the pain and pass out. If he did it meant he would die.
With great effort, he made it next to the fire and led down with the leg next to the fire. The ice started to melt, and he could feel his leg again.
It looked like he could make it, he just needed to rest.
But he knew couldn't just do that.
Grimm.
He needed to remove all negative thoughts before he could attract them. As he is now he'd make a good meal for them he's helpless to defend himself.
And so he thought of one thing on his mind. Raven, all the ways he could kill her. Ironically, this was positive to him. But it wasn't enough as he thought of Raven he thought what she'd done to him and so lead to negativity.
Ok, he needed something else. Something positive.
Images of Kali and even Blake came to mind.
He felt like he should be disgusted by this, he was a Saiyan they do not feel for the weak. But then what has acting like a Saiyan gotten him anyway?
Might as well just think about them and pass out.
So he did, and when he did a smile showed on his face, almost peaceful.
Far away a meeting was taking place.
Hazel bowed down not facing his queen.
"My lady I apologize, but the plan did not go in our favor."
"I see" Salem stated. "Disappointing, but it can't be helped."
This boy was full of surprises, he must've killed the Manticore after it was enhanced by Merlot. "Now, I think we should move forward, contact the Crown only this time I will speak to them, I have thought of a proposal that they cannot refuse."
"Of course, milady."
"My goddess" Tyrian kneeled before her. "If I may ask what your plans for Kron and Raven are?"
"Raven is difficult to find, assuming the boy is still with her in time she will lose control of him and he'll be on his own."
"Are you not worried that she'll kill him?" The scorpion Faunus asked worried he might lose a comrade that shares a taste for blood.
Salem turned to him and smiled. "Tyrian, worry not, our plans no longer need him alive. Even if I'm wrong and the boy is under Raven's control, I have thought up of my own solutions." She then walked away.
Tyrian watched his mistress leave and was sad at the thought of losing his chance to have a comrade to have fun killing with. But his goddess made it clear, and he had plenty of chances. Oh well if his goddess's goal comes to fruition that's all he'll need.
As she walked Salem thought of the boy. Whatever his power is she'll make great use of it, whether he's alive or not, his body will be all she needs.
But to that end, she'll need to figure out how to make more methods to match whatever this power is. Relying on Maidens would be foolish, she'll need to branch out and perform some experiments with Aura.
The Crown can provide her with some test subjects for a new asset.
A couple of days passed.
Kron was sitting up next to a campfire he made where he had his fight with Raven, the bruises and cuts weren't anything serious thankfully. He was enjoying some deer he had hunted while sitting in front of his trophy.
It was Raven's mask, the Branwen Helm that was shattered, he didn't kill her but he defeated her with his mind just like she taught him. He only hoped that next time he'd get to fight her at her full power without the need for that kind of tactic. An even fight where their powers are equal was more enticing.
Though he wonders how much longer will he be safe from Raven? And if she comes to him soon, can he even hope to beat her? After last time she'll be more careful and ready to kill him.
He shook his head, it doesn't matter, clearly, she's out there licking her wounds. And she knows killing him won't be simple. Let her come, he'll come up with a new plan to beat her. And if she needs a long time to recover, he'll be able to get stronger and by then he might even surpass her.
Yes, he won't fear her. Let her come back. He can fight her, he knows that now. And so does she. Besides she ran off, she must've been afraid of him.
Kron chuckled, he made her run away. She was practically begging him not to kill her. He remembered back when he was afraid of her when she first tried to kill him, then he made it his goal to make her afraid of him. Looks he achieved it.
One day he will kill her, that he knows.
Though once he kills her, then what?"
He then thought of his mission. The entire reason he came to this planet. Wiping out the inhabitants would ensure that he secured a place in Planet Vegeta's army.
Or rather Frieza's army, calling it the Saiyan army was ridiculous since they were pawns to the emperor.
He remembered the first time he was captured by Sienna.
It made him question his goal, he'd just be another pawn in their ranks.
It seemed so pointless; he'd be back where he started if he did the mission.
And even if he decided to go through with it, there were people he couldn't bring himself to kill.
Kali, she did more for him than anyone else. While he doesn't like the feeling he gets from her, someone so weak, he hates imagining her dead or even injured.
To do the mission means killing her. Becoming a member of the Frieza Force means going to submit to other Saiyans as he did with his parents.
He squeezed his fists.
"Screw the mission." Kron said out loud. "screw Planet Vegeta, screw the Saiyans, and screw Frieza." He looked up to the sky and smiled. "Starting today, I'll do what I want, and I won't be someone's puppet."
And with that Kron had abandoned the mission, his goal was thrown away.
But that leaves the question.
What will he do with his new freedom?
To start, he'll make sure that Raven's dead. After that?
Who knows.
Far away.
In an abandoned-looking shack, Vernal was looking over Raven in a bed hooked up to all kinds of machines.
They were in a shed that had the best doctor they could bribe.
"When will she wake up?" Vernal asked the messy-looking doctor.
"Hard to say." The doctor replied. "She sustained some of the most injuries I've seen on any patient, I've done everything I could, now it's up to her to wake up."
"Give some idea!" Vernal yelled. "Days? Months? A year?!"
"It doesn't work like that, she's in a coma, I can't just force her awake." He replied. "All I can do is keep her alive as long as possible." He stated. "As long as you keep the money coming."
Vernal glared at the doctor but they needed him. "We'll pay however much you want, just bring her back."
The doctor simply nodded and walked away from the duo.
The second in command of the Branwen Tribe focused on Raven and grabbed her hand. "Come on Raven, don't let that monkey beat you."
Raven said nothing only kept breathing, she will wake up Vernal knew that. And so she still carried the Maiden's power.
She only hoped that Raven would wake up soon to finish that monkey.
Alright, there we go.
Now then about Kron figuring out about Raven, I did seed it last chapter that he was thinking about how he thought of how Raven can always tell where he is no matter where she is. He just needed more time to put it together and he is more of a thinker than most Saiyans.
Originally I was going to have Kron convince Raven not to kill him because if she did Salem would go after her next. I scrapped it because I believe that Raven would kill him anyway, because not only is it dangerous for Salem to control him, he also knows she holds a Maiden power though he doesn't know the name of it, I'm sure Raven sadly would kill him regardless to ensure her safety. So I had Kron come up with a plan to catch her off guard. You think my original ending would've made more sense or you prefer this ending?
Kron was still quite weaker to Raven's ability, and Raven wanted to try to get her hands on Ki so she didn't kill him right away. Which is risky but so is trying to steal a relic from Salem, she wanted his power because she saw it as a great way to combat Salem, she isn't wrong. But she didn't expect Kron to come up with that plan.
So two of Kron's techniques work like Goku's Kamehameha or Piccolo's special beam cannon. They concentrate Kron's power into a single point in order to more than double his power whilich is how Kron was able to almost kill her with his newly developed Ursa Claw, if she hadn't have moved she would be dead.
And now Raven the only person who can locate him at any time is in a coma. So Kron's basically free to go around as he pleases the only thing is Salem and her new alliances with Dr Merlot and the Crown will be after him but Raven's semblance is the best way to find him.
And about Kron abandoning his mission. This was seeded way back in chapter 8 when Sienna questioned him about what his goal was. There he discovered that his goal just means going back to obeying others. And now that he knows Kali never tricked him he also doesn't want to kill Kali or anyone close to her. So for these reasons I believe it makes sense for Kron to abandon his mission he's had second thoughts for awhile for both selfish and good reasons. Keep in mind he's still not completely good, he's just going to be toned down, he won't be murdering every huntsman he sees especially thinking about Kali. Do you guys think Kron giving up his original mission made sense?
Now then let's talk about how long this arc was. Look, when I started writing this arc I planned it to be no more than 10 chapters then go for the timeskip, but I got ideas I just couldn't turn out.
Kali wasn't going to be a big part of the story, but a friend, ssj golden, the awesome dude who gifted me all my fanart gave me the idea to include her to give Kron a taste of what it would've been like to have a 'human' or rather Faunus mother. Someone who cared for him and didn't want his power. Raven raised him the way a Saiyan mother would've treated him if Kron had been born with a more satisfying power level, both were an improvement over his own mother who just used him as a servant. But Kali showed him how his life as a Saiyan, sucked, both from his own mother and Raven. Sure Raven trained him, taught him how to read and was somewhat motherly, she only did it for his power, and out of regret for leaving Yang. Kali did it because she saw a child who needed help. It was just too good to pass up and from the looks of my reviews most of you agree, so I had to include Kali and so had to make the arc longer. So I hope you can understand why it was longer and hope you enjoyed Kali's part in the story.
Btw, ssj Golden was the one who came up with the idea, I wrote it but without him she wouldn't have been apart of it. So ssj golden thank you for the fanart and the ideas, you made this story more fun to write.
And now the first arc is over we can finally, FINALLY, involve team RWBY which I know most of you were waiting for. They will have a huge part of the story and this won't be like most stories or canon where humans become basically fodder I have huge plans for them along with Kron.
And yes, Kron will be much stronger after the nine-year time skip, stronger than almost anything in RWBY canon, he'll be OP for the most part but his growth will stop at a certain point because sure he can train but I believe the key to a Saiyan's strength is strong opponents to push him.
Speaking of I have plans to have threats on Remnant that can challenge Kron, I have elements inspired by other anime and videogames to level up RWBY characters so Kron won't be completely OP and won't be able to handle everything alone, I'm excited to show you what I have planned I hope I can do this right.
Now then let me ask you guys some questions.
When do you think Raven will wake up? How do you think Team RWBY will meet Kron? What do you think Salem's planning against Kron? What will Kron do during the timeskip?

Everything outside of Remnant will be shown in time all I will say is that space will be invading Remnant and some point, I will not reveal what for spoilers sake. I will include a pairing when I decide which I believe makes the most sense I have a couple girls in mind, didn't think of Emerald but that makes a good point, there will likely be a pairing just not sure who yet. epantoja521: He almost did! That would be quite the twist, you were close but she's in a coma, so she's still around just out of commission for a while. Kron might've considered joining Salem awhile ago but now he's all about being free even if it kills him. Maiden powers work like this,the last girl a Maiden thinks about as they die inherits the power. So if Raven were to die, her power would either go to Vernal or Yang depending on who she thinks about last, if she didn't think of any girl her power goes to a random female. Hope I explained it well.
