So little announcement, I think after my next chapter I'll take another break, don't know how long it'll be just know I promise to be back.
Just wanted to give u guys a heads up, I'm sure you understand as you did with my last one.
Anyway, on with the chapter, hope you enjoy it.
Revisiting The Begining
Kron floated over a forest.
Once he descended, he looked around, glancing at the map Tyrian granted him.
"Am I even in the right place?"
He decided to walk while looking at the map, then his nose picked up a scent that he remembered back in his days at the tribe.
Kron put the map down and glanced at the direction of the smell.
Just as he thought it was a corpse laying in front of a tree.
Then he looked around the forest to see plenty of dead bodies scattered throughout the forest.
"Ok, definitely in the right place." He remembered Tyrian mentioned she would be in a forest of dead bodies.
The Saiyan walked close to one of the corpses and knelt to examine it.
It had some dark mismatched clothing; its right shoulder was burnt.
"Either fire Dust or a fire Semblance," Kron said as he noted that the other bodies also had burnt marks. "Either one is unimpressive, still there's at least a dozen of these people here, all have bodies capable of a fight, so she can't be a complete pushover."
He looked at the corpse again to focus on anything of interest.
Nothing important though his face was somewhat familiar.
He shrugged his shoulders; he probably was some loser he fought years ago. Guess he can't fight him now.
"Does Tyrian even know if she's still here?" He sighed. "I'm gonna strangle that idiot if he wasted my time."
Deeper in the forest Kron can be seen from a scope.
The person carrying the scope gasped at the sight.
It was revealed to be a woman with long brown hair and two owl tuffs on top of it in a tight suit with iron plating.
It was the Owl Faunus Sepia Ugla the target Tyrian wanted Kron to capture.
The woman glared and squeezed her fists.
"It could be just another monkey Faunus, but no. It's too much of a coincidence for him to be here."
Sepia glanced at the scope again to watch her target.
She didn't think she'd confront him this soon, but it doesn't matter.
The Owl Faunus looked at her weapon a crossbow and sighed.
Before she tries, she'll need to do something first, it was only fair.
Kron started to get fed up with jumping through the forest.
"Hey! Whoever you are! If you want to hunt real game then I'm right here!" Kron yelled throughout the forest. "Come on! I'm waiting!"
From a distance, a weapon is aimed and fired.
An arrow was striking behind Kron.
The Saiyan can hear the sound of the arrow and caught it behind his head. He then flew up and dashed towards the direction it was shot from.
He brought up the arrow and sniffed it.
"What?" Kron asked. "I'm not picking up a scent. It's odorless."
A Saiyan's nose is many times stronger than a human's, yet he couldn't smell anything.
Clearly, this Sepia woman was prepared for any Faunus trackers.
"Damn it, fine." He looked around over the trees and doesn't see a thing.
The Saiyan growled in annoyance.
"Hey! I'm sick of this game, come out! Fight me, head-to-head!'
Nothing happened for a while which was annoying to Kron.
Then out of the corner of his eye, he sees another arrow.
He turned and grabbed the arrow. "Fuck it."
He decided to just fire a blast hopefully strong enough to knock out whoever was firing arrows at his target.
The blast hit a spot.
But no explosion.
"What?" That was enough to make a tree fall at least.
The Saiyan flew towards where he fired but again nothing, no fire, no fallen trees.
"What the hell? What is going on?" Kron asked looking around.
Another arrow was fired.
Again, Kron caught it but he would regret it as it was coated in Dust.
"Oh"
It exploded in his hand and encased it in ice.
It covered his arm but not for long as he used his Ki to break free.
"Ice again? I literally dealt with this two days ago, these people should be more creative!" For the first time in a long time, he was angry. "Come out! This game is getting boring!"
Kron decided to let loose after a while, not caring where the arrow was fired he fired many Ki shots all over the place in an attempt to attack whoever snuck attacked him.
A lot of these energy shots brought down trees or just destroyed some branches.
And to his surprise nothing.
"Grr, this is so annoying. Where are you?"
Just then he heard a noise, he turned around.
There she was.
Long brown hair, owl tuffs on her head, a black tight suit with metal plating her weapon pointed downward and her hand up.
"Found you," Kron said frustratingly with a smirk.
The Owl Faunus stood with no fear on her face despite being a few feet away from Kron. Her eyes were glowing red, not like Raven or Winter, just red in her eyes.
"Hello, Scourge of Anima." She said in a dull tone
Kron eyed her up and down to check a second time. Definitely her.
"My name is Sepia Ugla, it's a pleasure to meet you." She said in a polite tone.
The Saiyan rose an eyebrow.
"Didn't expect you to show yourself so soon, thought I was going to have to play hide and seek with you." He said. "So, are you gonna fight me like a warrior? Also, I like the eyes, that red glow makes you look menacing, sadly they're not glowing like two other women I fought otherwise you'd definitely be fun."
Sepia closed her eyes, as if calming herself and reopened them showing that they were still glowing crimson eyes.
"Before we do anything, will you hear me out? I have an offer for you."
Kron rose an eyebrow; she was weirdly polite to him. The Saiyan found her need to talk weirdly refreshing since his last opponent wasn't the type to talk much. And he always welcomed a talk with his opponents. He was weird like that.
"Go ahead."
What exactly was she gonna offer? A bribe to leave her be? She couldn't have anything he wanted right?
"My offer is atonement," Sepia said which made Kron confused. "Turn yourself in, if you come with me I will take you to the authorities and they will arrest you, I also will let them know you cooperated."
The Scourge stood there for a few seconds and then started laughing.
"Oh that's good, I never heard it this way before," Kron said with a smile behind his mask. "Mostly it's just 'come with me or we'll use force' but the way you said it made it entertaining. I think you know my answer, right?"
Sepia shook her head and continued.
"My offer is atonement, the wrongs you committed, the people you hurt, and the people you murdered as a child." She said with a sad-looking face. "You need to own up to your wrongs. I know you're still young, giving you plenty of time to pay for what you've done, to start over and become a better person."
Kron listened to her talk and his seen eye rolled.
"I am never going to be put in a cage if you want me to pay for what I've done." He looked at the scattered corpses. "Then you should do to me what you did to these weaklings."
Of course, he didn't think she could but it was the best way he can have fun if his opponents go for the kill.
Sepia looked at the bodies he pointed at. "I gave them the same offer, they also showed disinterest in changing their ways. I will ask though, is this your final answer? Even if you don't want to make amends for yourself, is there someone you would like to make amends for? Someone you'd want to change for?"
When she said that Kron immediately thought of a certain Cat Faunus. The only one who wanted to help him without wanting to use him. Then a younger one was annoying but he grew attached to her as well. He almost took someone they cared for thinking he was tricked. Which is why he vowed to never see them again.
Seconds later the Saiyan's eye from the damaged part of the mask that can be seen was glaring. He couldn't stand being reminded of that.
"Enough! I've heard plenty of what you had to say! If you want me to pay for what I did, then try to put me in the ground!"
He would never bring himself to be locked up. Regardless of any guilt.
Sepia thought for a second that she got through to him and sighed. She felt a mixture of disappointment and relief. She hated admitting it, but part of her was glad that he refused just like the rest of them.
"So be it." She rose a hand. "Any who refuse to accept responsibility for their sins, and change for the better need to die."
Kron immediately dashed forward holding back only because he was still interested in seeing what she could do.
Sepia's hand started to glow red.
The Saiyan couldn't help but be surprised at what he was seeing and stopped to see what she was doing.
Sepia then released the ball of light and launched it at Kron.
In disbelief, Kron did nothing but take the blast head-on, too surprised to defend himself.
It sent the surprised Saiyan flying and hitting the tree behind him.
Kron looked down at where he'd been hit, astonished, he glanced up to see nothing. No one was there.
The Saiyan slowly stood up and thought of what just happened.
Sepia Ulga fired light out of her hand.
It was impossible.
And yet the evidence was there. He saw it. Felt it Plain as day. He's felt it when he trained using Guided Swarm.
He couldn't help but ask still stunned at what he saw.
"Was that Ki?!"
Not far from Tyrian and Kron's meeting spot, the Scorpion Faunus was watching with binoculars.
"Yes! Yes!" He cackled.
It was just as Jax promised, Sepia's ability is the perfect counter for Kron.
"Good, now Kron, don't fail to do the work of our goddess!"
After this capturing Kron will be an easy thing to do in the future.
Kron looked around the forest after finally recovering from his stupor to an extent.
"That couldn't have been Ki, how would there be a Ki user if I'm the only one who knows how to use it?" Kron asked himself as he looked over the trees. "Could there be Ki users on this planet after all and I missed them?"
The Saiyan floated over the trees searching for this apparent Ki user.
He spots what looked like someone standing on top of a tree. It was the Owl Faunus standing with a weapon drawn out, it looked like a crossbow.
Kron smiled glad that he found her.
Sepia then rose her blade up, sunlight reflected on the blade, so much that it seemed to be glowing white light.
The Saiyan dashed towards the woman intent to beat answers out of her.
The Owl Faunus was quick enough though as she slashed her sword and an arc of white light raced towards the Saiyan.
Kron stopped surprised to see what looked like Ki headed for him again.
He then caught the incoming energy slash in his hands, it then shattered from his touch.
"Hmm? That felt different."
Curious he looked at his hands to see some small burn marks on his hands. The attack was hotter than he expected, Ki can be hot but not always to this degree.
He glanced at where the Owl Faunus had stood and sees her gone.
"Tch" He let her get away.
Still, if she is a Ki user, that means she'll be an interesting opponent. Even the weakest Ki users would be stronger than most huntsmen, he's fought.
Kron's eyes widened at that thought.
His heart pumped, it was in his ear drums.
A smile came to his face, he looked up and shouted.
"Hey! If you have the same power as mine, then come out! No more of this game! Let's do this head-to-head!"
It had to be true! He found a Ki user. And if so then it must mean he found someone stronger than Raven or Winter! Yes! A true challenge.
Now he'll just have to wait for them to show themselves.
Just then Kron heard something from behind.
Another arrow, annoyingly he caught it with ease and dashed toward where he believed Sepia to be. He wondered if she were a Ki user why even use arrows? To conserve energy? If so, she wouldn't be worth fighting.
Kron dashed forward searching for his target.
From above on top of a tree Sepia closed her eyes, the hair tuffs on her head were moving amplifying the sounds the Scourge was making. He's fast but she knows where he's headed.
Sepia rose her blade in the sky, it reflected sunlight again and she slashed downward creating another slash of light.
The Saiyan stopped when he heard a noise and turned around to see what looked like an energy slash.
It seemed to have connected hitting him down the middle.
From above the Owl Faunus seemed to be pleased but stopped when she noticed something.
The Scourge of Anima looked unharmed, only a tear was on his top.
Sepia glared, angry that her attack landed but did nothing she hoped for. She believed that his Aura must be insanely tough to withstand it.
Behind his damaged mask Kron smiled thinking he found his supposed fellow Ki user.
"Finally!"
The Saiyan dashed up and grabbed the woman by the throat to test his opponent.
Kron smiled waiting for her to show her strength and break his grip.
Sepia did not he held his arm and tried to pull away, but Kron felt no resistance.
"What?" The Saiyan asked. "If you're like me, you should be able to break free."
"I'm nothing like you." She said with so much rage.
It actually surprised Kron, it's been a while since he met someone who truly wanted him dead. Made him think why she 'offered' to take him alive.
Just then Sepia's whole body glowed a bright light and flared all over Kron's face.
And once the Saiyan sees the light he let go of the woman and covered his face.
"Ah! My eyes! What just happened?!" He yelled as he covered his face and Sepia carefully landed safely on the ground.
Kron growled as he tried to open his eyes but to no avail, he felt the need to keep them shut. It was like he got hit by a flash-bang grenade.
Once Sepia was within a safe distance she pressed a button on her sword turning it into a crossbow. She aimed it away from Kron and fired it at a tree.
Kron heard a sound and turned towards it still blinded.
"There you are!"
The Saiyan rushed toward where he heard the noise and brought down the tree.
Kron growled as if realizing he was duped into hitting a tree.
With a sigh, he rose his hand's out. "Alright fine, guess while I'm blind I'll just take potshots."
He spun around while firing many energy blasts. All of them were still non-lethal as he needed her alive.
And Sepia wasn't getting away, instead, she was running around Kron while he was firing Ki blasts all over the place not knowing she was nearby.
Then when the blasts touched her, they didn't detonate.
Instead, they vanished and didn't seem to damage her at all.
And noticeably her eyes changed from reddish brown to red, the same color as Kron's Ki blasts.
Once Kron felt that was enough, he stopped still covering his eyes.
"Damn it, it's been a while since someone made me this mad."
He should know better than to give in to his anger, it's cost him so much in the past.
Kron's eyes started to open and just then he sees a familiar sight.
Sepia had her hands aimed at Kron.
And together they fired a big red energy ball. "Take this!"
She yelled while firing it.
Before this caught Kron by surprise but now he's ready to defend himself.
Kron smiled and fired an energy wave a bit bigger than what she sent out.
The ball clashed with his wave for a few seconds before being overwhelmed by Kron's wave.
Sepia looked surprised as the energy flew back to her. With quick thinking, she rose her hands.
And the Ki vanished just as the many blasts did earlier while Kron was blinded.
Kron for the first time sees it and he was nothing short of confused.
Then Sepia disappeared. Nowhere to be seen.
The Saiyan looked at where she was and only had one thing to say.
"What just happened?"
Through the same forest, something was moving without a sound, and unable to see.
It was Sepia, invisible and running through the forest where plenty of sunlight was seen.
If she were visible and could see her eyes.
They were glowing blood red, and she had cracks throughout her body.
"Tch" Sepia struggled but shook it off. "Just a little more, a little more and he's done!"
Sepia then took out her crossbow pressed a button and turned into a sword to climb up a tree.
The woman made it to the top of a tree. She then pointed her sword pressed a button and turned it into it's crossbow mode. She pulled the trigger firing four Ice Dust Arrows at many different treetops, at least a dozen.
She looked up at the sun and at the ice-covered tree tops, more specifically the light reflecting on the ice.
"Alright now, where is he?" The owl tuffs on her head moved, showing her every vibration throughout the forest, searching for her target. "Ok good there he is."
"Not long now."
The Saiyan thought back to what happened.
He fired a stronger Ki wave to counter the ball of Ki she fired and she took into her own body then turned invisible.
It was no wonder how he thought he was facing a Ki user.
"So that's what's been going on." He said sounding disappointed.
"Scourge of Anima!"
Kron heard that and floated above wondering if he'll see her this time.
And he did she stood on a tree top in between four covered in ice.
"This is it," Sepia said as she brought her arms up. A red ball of Ki appeared above her.
More specifically Kron's Ki that he fired earlier.
Sepia then looked at the ice-covered treetops and she spread her arms and rose them again.
This time the light reflected on the ice reflected and went into the ball of red Ki that she prepared.
Kron noticed that and couldn't help but be impressed.
"She's combining my Ki with the light reflected on the ice, very clever, it'll make it even stronger."
Sepia's ball of crimson energy grew and had a white light surrounding it.
"Now" The Owl Faunus thrust her arms forward. "Reap what you've sewn!"
She launched her collected energy ball and was sent toward the 'Monkey Faunus'.
Kron floated there as the ball headed his way, he didn't move, didn't show any fear.
Once it was close enough Kron rose a leg and axe and kicked the energy ball.
Sepia had a look of disbelief and horror on her face.
The ball of Ki was sent downward and collided with the ground with no real effort.
The blast made a mini earthquake and exploded into a decent crater in the middle of the forest.
The small tremor was enough to make Sepia fall off the tree and hit the ground.
Then Sepia's brown aura showed cracks and faded.
The owl Faunus was on the ground panting.
"No, no, no," She said repeatedly. She empowered the light that the Scourge had sent. How was it not enough?! That was as much light as she can control.
Then to her horror, she looked up to see the Scourge floating above her, clearly not looking worse for wear.
At the sight of her, she pulled out her weapon and tried to get up while glaring at Kron.
The Saiyan descended to the ground in front of her and walked up to her while she was trying to crawl away.
"Stay away!"
Kron did so while she watched her struggle.
"So your semblance" The Saiyan began. "It's light manipulation right?"
Sepia said nothing only glaring at Kron as if hoping to burn a hole in his head.
"You can manipulate light to do almost anything." He continued proudly that he figured out her semblance. "You can absorb any form of light, fire it anywhere, through your own body or sword, that's how you seemed to have my ability."
He thought of when she fired Ki at him, it was ki but it was his own that she fired back at him after absorbing it. When he was firing Ki at random spots and there was no detonation she must have absorbed them to fire it back at him. And when she slashed with sunlight using the light reflected on her sword.
Kron continued explaining what he found out about her semblance. "You can also bend the light around you and make yourself invisible, I actually thought you had superspeed."
He remembered how she seemed to vanish when he grabbed her by the throat when she was on top of that tree. And after she absorbed that Ki wave fired.
"And finally, you can release the light through your entire body and use it to blind anyone who looks into it, you used sunlight to make that happen."
And finally, he remembered how he had grabbed her throat and she blinded him temporarily.
"The weakness though is you need to be in light for it to be effective, that's why you made sure to go through any clearings throughout the forest."
Sepia did not confirm nor deny his claims as she tried to get up as if still willing to fight.
Kron couldn't help but like that defiance. She seemed more determined to beat him than almost any opponent he came across. Maybe as much as Raven showed.
"Well, I must say it's a very unique semblance. And almost as versatile as the Schnee's glyphs, it's too bad though, I had thought I found someone like me." His eye looked disappointed. "And sadly you have a limit of how much you can absorb, luckily for you I'd only ever shot energy that can stun not kill, that's why it was so easy to deflect that ball you sent to me, if I gave you real power you probably would've overloaded and killed yourself."
He was so excited too.
Sepia's Semblance: Light Guidance: She can manipulate any form of light, absorb it into her body and use it to make herself invisible, make her body shine like the sun, and fire it through her body or a weapon. The more light she absorbs the more fatigue she becomes.
"I-it's not over!" Sepia screamed as she grabbed her weapon and aimed at him with the crossbow.
Kron grabbed the weapon out of her hand and looked at it.
"Well, I think I'll take this, at least you have a trophy for me to take home, unlike that doctor."
"I- I should've known that you'd come back for them." She said glancing over at one of the corpses on one of the trees.
Kron stared at the corpse and looked back at her.
"Who's them exactly? I am just here to do a job."
"The Branwen Tribe, of course, you'd defend them!"
Kron was silent for a few seconds.
"Branwen Tribe?"
"You monsters!" Sepia yelled as if Kron was still apart of them. "I was so close to hunting all of you! I had you cornered! No matter where you hide your camp I always tracked you!"
Kron listened and looked at the corpses.
He remembered the first corpse was familiar.
So that's who the client was.
Interesting.
Tyrian was humming while waiting for his 'partner'.
Then he glanced up and smiled.
Kron floated down with his target.
"Ah! I was wondering when you'd get here! I trust her semblance didn't make things too difficult?"
"Tch" Kron landed right in front with Sepia in his arm still conscious and struggling.
Tyrian looked giddy and had his arms out as if expecting to get his prize.
"Well done, now then, I will direct you to the person who can undo Raven's semblance and your lead."
Kron looked at the girl in his arm and back at Tyrian.
"Well? What are you waiting for?"
He chuckled and threw a punch into the Assasin's chest.
Tyrian coughed from the impact.
The Saiyan then dropped Sepia who yelled in pain and had his elbow into Tyrian's chest.
"W-what are you doing?"
Kron didn't say anything and just sniffed him.
The Scorpian Faunus freaked out as he did, wondering what he was doing.
With no care, he turned and sniffed a final time.
"Huh" Kron smiled. "What do you know, I know where the client is."
So that's what he was doing! He can smell where his new partners are!
"What is this, we had a deal!"
The Saiyan's tail swayed as he chuckled.
"We sure did, but that ended once I knew who the client is."
Tyrian's eyes widened and he glared at the woman who was struggling to get up. She must have said something.
"Alright Tyrian, I don't know what you're planning but it has to do with besting me right? Your group is after me that's why you wanted this girl right? To recruit her and use her semblance."
The Scorpian Faunus quickly thought of how to convince him not to kill him or that he was wrong.
"Good"
Kron pulled away and let the confused Tyrian on the ground.
With hope, Salem's psychotic servant giggled and spoke.
"If, you're ok with that, then give her to me!"
But he knew better.
"No! I will not benefit the Branwen Tribe, for any reason, now if you survive this, tell your masters to bring it on!"
The Scorpian Faunus snarled.
"Survive what?"
Kron smiled and he grabbed Tyrian by the braided hair and kicked him in the side.
Tyrian screamed as he was hit with a tremendous force and sent to the air far from him.
The scorpion Faunus's Aura cracked showing that he was in danger, as he was sent flying away.
Once that was done, he grabbed the woman's weapon and started walking toward the scent.
"Give me back my weapon!"
Kron turned to her.
"It's my prize for beating you. So shut up, train, and get stronger. Can't wait to fight you again."
It was really annoying when they demanded their weapons back, they lost fair and square.
"You already killed my husband! Don't you dare take his weapon!"
When she said that Kron stopped and turned around.
Her husband? He hasn't killed anyone in years. Who could she be talking about?
"You! You and your tribe came to my village! Killed the huntsmen protecting it and you, you killed my husband!"
Kron looked at her and back at the weapon.
Before he felt there was something familiar about it. Then he remembered.
Years ago, when he was still in the Branwen Tribe, he fought a huntsman with this weapon.
It wasn't long before he had beaten him to the ground and murdered him.
He then looked back at the woman.
"You! Are going to pay you monster!"
Just as she said that Kron couldn't help but see a certain Cat Faunus in her place.
Kron actually shook for a second but he shrugged off the feeling, he then stabbed the sword into the ground. It was the first time he didn't want to take a weapon home with him. He didn't understand why but he didn't want it anymore.
"So that's why you were hunting the Branwen Tribe and why you had made sure you were odorless." The Saiyan noted. "You were also preparing for me, not bad though you aren't strong enough to be a threat on your own."
Sepia glared as she took a step forward only to fall on her face, she still glared up at him.
"Kill me," Sepia demanded. "I will get stronger, I will never stop!" She threatened.
Kron looked at the woman his eye showing no emotion only a glare.
"Good, then there's something you should know." The Saiyan replied. "That idiot I kicked away is, Tyrian he is weak compared to me, but I can tell he's no pushover, if he survived my kick, you'll want to prepare for him, he also has a comrade named Hazel who is likely also going to try to capture you, so watch out for both of them."
He never thought he'd explain to someone to be careful. And it wasn't just because he wanted to fight her again. And he decided to give them one more piece of information.
"There is a woman in Atlas, Winter Schnee, she was the first in a while to give me some challenge, seek her out, maybe you can grow stronger with her."
The Owl Faunus struggled to get up.
"Don't you dare leave now! Don't you dare have mercy you failed to show my husband and so many others!" She yelled. "It means nothing if you refuse to accept the consequences of your actions."
Kron started to float and look in the direction he can detect the smell. He ignored that last statement she made and gave one more piece of advice.
"Also, I will never allow myself to be put in a cage, if you want me to pay for what I've done, then try to kill me, get stronger however you can. Never make that 'offer' to me again!" He yelled. "Now if you excuse me, I have a reunion to go to."
With that final advice given Kron dashed away.
Sepia watched as her husband's killer flew off.
She glared as she walked to her husband's weapon Ichtaka.
With effort, she pulled it out of the ground and struggled to keep standing.
The Owl Faunus made her offer to him. Now he has no excuse. She has no reason to offer him
Next time they meet she will avenge her husband.
Even if it kills her.
As Kron flew, he couldn't help but think of Kali.
If he in his anger had killed Ghira, Kali would've been like Sepia.
Then there's Blake, if he was angry enough she might've lost a father.
They would've been in so much pain. Pain that he would've caused after Kali had done so much for him.
Kali and Blake would've been so hurt from his actions.
For a second Kron's expression softened but it hardened again.
It didn't matter.
He will never see her again, either of them again, no use even thinking about them or what if's.
Only one thought should come to mind.
Revenge.
Kron focused on the scent.
He was so close, he knows it.
In the forests there was a campsite.
One of the members screamed and he pointed up.
A figure floated down.
It was Kron glaring with his one eye from the mask.
The Saiyan took the mask off and glanced around.
"Hi everybody! Miss me?"
The Branwen Tribe all looked petrified at the sight of him.
"Stop!" A commanding woman spoke.
Kron looked to the person who yelled that and almost attacked them just from the look.
It was woman in light green long sleeve shirt and black pants. And more noticeably a very familiar helmet, a white grimm mask with red lines across it.
It was a newly forged Branwen Helm.
Only she didn't have Raven's sword or height.
"Pfft" Kron rolled his eyes at the sight. "What's this? A Raven wannabe? Couldn't you wear something different?"
Four men quickly aimed their guns and blades at him.
"Don't be afraid men!" One of the men shouted. "He's gotten soft, he hasn't taken a life since his fight with Raven! We have nothing to fear for this so called 'Scourge of Anima'. He has lost the will to kill!"
This seemed to have been a morale boost for the whole tribe as more gathered their weapons and started getting closer to Kron.
Hearing that made Kron chuckle.
"You've done your research, only, it wasn't accurate."
Kron vanished and appeared in front of one of the men.
Before the man could react, Kron thrusted a forward chop into the man's throat.
The rest of the tribe looked horrified at the sight.
Kron's hand was in the Branwen Tribe member's throat covered in blood.
He then pulled his hand back as the man put his hands on his throat to stop the blood.
The Saiyan didn't stop there and vanished again.
He appeared in front of another man and punched straight into his face blood poured out of his skull as he fell back.
Again, he appeared and kicked straight into another's stomach making him cough blood.
And finally, the last one who pointed a weapon at him, he aimed a hand at his head and fired a powerful Ki wave making him fall back and hit the ground.
All four of them dead.
The rest of the Branwen Tribe were shocked they were sure that their former member gave up killing and gave them an advantage.
Kron looked around him at their stunned faces.
"You idiots, you don't get it do you?" Kron asked the terrified faces around him. "Yes I don't go for the kill these days, to allow my opponents to live so they can try again and spread word of my strength."
Another reason he won't say is that he couldn't help but think of Kali as he did the deed of killing any huntsmen just doing their job. He didn't want any more of their blood at his hands.
"But I have exceptions to my rule." The Saiyan continued. "One is obviously the hag, Raven, the other is," He smiled and looked at all of them. "Every single weakling in the Branwen Tribe! All of you weaklings always begged Raven to kill me whenever someone you liked died because I didn't bother to protect them, well guess what! I was following your culture! The strong live and the weak die! Your such weak hypocrites! I followed the Branwen Tribe's way better than all of you and you tried to have the hag kill me for it instead of doing it yourself!"
And, while he can't say for certain Kali wouldn't mind their deaths, he knows they'd kill someone like her. With no issue. That made them the exception.
"Now take a good look at these four corpses, I will do the same to all of you if you get in my way!" Kron turned away from the crowd who seemed to be frightened to get close to him. "While I have a discussion with your 'leader'."
Kron walked towards the leader who didn't seem to move, not out of fear but knowing that it was pointless to try to escape. He can respect that, Raven would've just tried to run.
The new leader of the Branwen Tribe started to panic and thrust her hands forward.
Dark blue light slashes started heading towards Kron.
Kron eyed it as it they slashed across the ground towards Kron.
The Saiyan merely put his hand forward the slash hit his palm. He looked at it to see no effect. "Cute semblance, it's almost as strong as the Owl Faunus's and you're definitely a step up from the rest of your weak tribe."
None of the other tribesmen corrected him nor tried to help their leader.
Meanwhile, their leader took a step back. This freak was stronger than she remembered.
Kron appeared in front of her and grabbed her by the throat.
"I know how you Branwen's operate; I will not be fooled by any of you again." He explained. "Now you fake, let's see who you are."
Once he took the mask off his eyes widened and he smiled. "I knew it, you really thought this would work?"
It was a woman with short dark brown hair and light blue eyes.
The right hand of Raven, Vernal.
"Hello bootlicker, been a while." He said snickering as he slammed her against the wall while she struggled to break free from his grip.
The Saiyan was chuckling watching her helplessly try to claw her way out.
"You found out! Did Tyrian give it away?" She asked wondering if Salem's assassin sold her tribe out.
"He didn't, and I found out." He said to the fellow disciple of Raven. "I know better than to trust this tribe, you know what Raven tried right?"
Vernal struggled as she kicked his chest but no effect. She then aimed one hand and a dark brown slash started forming.
Vernal's Semblance: Sever- By aiming her hands she can send a slash of Aura, ranging from many small slashes to one the size of her body.
Even though he thought it wouldn't work Kron aimed grabbed her hand and aimed it to the side slashing through the camp. Making a thin cut.
Kron looked at it and turned back to her.
"You didn't have a semblance before." He noted impressed. "Someone's been training, all for nothing though."
She aimed her other arm, but Kron kicked it.
Crunch!
"Ahh!" She yelled as her arm had a large black bruise on it.
"Stuff it with the whining." Kron rolled his eyes. "Now then, bootlicker, talk."
Vernal breathed in and out through her teeth trying to think on what to say.
"So, where's the real one? Where's Raven? If you don't talk, I'll break your legs and have you watch as I murder every single tribe member!"
He shouted and looked at the other bandits.
Some started to run away leaving their leader and tribesman that were to scare to run from their fate.
Vernal glared at the cowards. She couldn't help but think how they were such ingrates. She hoped that this plan would've worked but she should've known better. It was time to improvise.
"S-she's not here! She hasn't been a tribe member for three years!"
That made Kron raises an eyebrow but he scoffed as if knowing it was a lie.
"Pfft, this tribe is Raven's entire world, she was all about you weaklings, why would she leave? Did she realize she was better off without you?"
She would say that they were her obligation repeatedly as if she wanted an excuse for trying to manipulate him. Maybe their battle showed her that this tribe wasn't worth it.
Then Vernal said something he would never expect.
"Because we kicked her out!"
Kron looked at her for a second and then to the crowd around them that were too afraid to do anything. He started laughing. It was so ridiculous. Her kicked out? It was just impossible to believe!
"Nice try, Raven's a coward but she's strong, too strong to be usurped by you weaklings, all of you could cobble together and it'd just be a blood bath, how would you managed to dethrone her."
Unless her coma made her weaker. Which worried Kron. He wanted their battle to be better than the one he had with Winter.
"Let me go and let me show you some evidence." She said looking at Kron who didn't seem to want to. "If you kill us, you'll have no lead to Raven, you'll be back on square one."
Hearing that made Kron weigh his options, he really wanted to get back at this bootlicker for trying that sneak attack years ago and to draw Raven out. But if she means what she's saying then she could be tossing his next lead to Raven and he doubts any of these weaklings would have any info.
Besides he should see what 'evidence' she has. It's not like she can escape. She can't just open a portal and escape like the old hag.
He let her go and watched her get up.
Vernal grunted as she held her now broken arm and glared at her ex-comrade.
Kron only chuckled to her face thinking it served her right.
The new leader of the Branwen Tribe walked over to a tent with him following they had in the room and pressed a couple buttons.
"I told Raven that if she didn't leave the tribe alone, I would release this to the world."
A video started playing.
It showed Raven in the tribe surrounded by other members of the tribe. Her eyes glowed the red flame that Kron remembered. Lightning struck all around her killing the bandits who were betraying her. Then Raven turned towards the camera and looked terrified. She aimed her hand at the camera recording her making it static.
"The camera was leaking footage to some trusted contacts." She explained. "I told her if any more of us die, these contacts will upload the video online."
Kron looked at the screen and wore a confused expression
"Why would Raven not want this released to the public?"
Vernal scoffed.
"Think about it, have you seen her use it in our raids? She wants to keep it secret that she has this power, a specific group of people would want it and put a target on her back for it."
Kron put a hand to his chin. So she wanted to keep it secret, that's why he hasn't found any info on it. Probably one of this planet's secrets. He then remembered Hazel, during their fight Raven refused to use it and she's not the type to play with her opponents.
So Hazel must be a part of this group that Raven doesn't want to know about her power.
As much as he wanted to accuse Vernal of lying and this is some sort of trick, it would make sense for her to leave the tribe alone. Not to mention if she wanted it secret she would not approve of any footage.
Time to move on with his questions.
"So" Vernal asked Kron. "If I hadn't made it clear yet, I want Raven dead."
Kron was surprised to hear that. From Vernal of all people. She worshipped the ground Raven walked on. Hearing her say that feels like next he'll see the Legendary Super Saiyan come to this planet.
The curious Saiyan needed to ask one question.
"You have this leverage though, what do you have to fear if she wants this kept quiet so badly."
Vernal sighed.
"Because of you." Vernal replied. "As long as Raven is alive, we have you to worry about, we want you to kill her so you never come to us again, with her gone we hoped that it would keep you from coming for us."
That way they can wash all of this out of their hands. Raven dies and Kron sees no reason to come to them anymore.
Kron kept thinking wondering if it fit together. There was one other hole that didn't make sense.
"Raven was in a coma for five years, why didn't you kill her during that time." He said distastefully, such a weak tactic. "I know that's something you Branwens would do."
Vernal squeezed her fists. She remembered when she thought of unplugging her. But she remembered she couldn't for one simple risk.
"Again because of you." The new Branwen Chief said. "If we had killed Raven during her sleep, you would have taken your revenge on us. Right?"
It was how he operated, his fixation to have a proper fight against strong opponents. He'd wipe them all out if she had robbed him of the chance.
"That was a smart move on your part." He definitely would've wiped out the whole tribe.
Kron put a hand to his chin again trying to see if there's anything she said he should be suspicious of. The video, there's no way Raven would have a video of her using her power if she didn't want to be seen with it. She refused to use it on Hazel back then, and had him lure that mutant manticore away from Kutsinachi to avoid witnesses. It all started to make sense to him, his eyes widened.
"Wow" The Saiyan replied. "This isn't a trick, you really did kick Raven out. I mean it still could be a trick but it all makes sense." He then focused on Vernal with a smile. "You of all people betrayed Raven. Not only did you kick her out, but you also want her dead!"
Vernal eyed him and sighed. Though she is committed to having Raven killed, she's not proud that she had to rely on her tribe's biggest threat to do so. Raven has proven that not only was she their tribe's biggest weakness but their greatest threat. She didn't just need to be kicked out, she needed to die.
Kron laughed hard at that. "Wow, wish I could've seen it! The moment you kicked her out!"
Just the thought of her biggest bootlicker kicking her out was never what he expected!
Vernal said nothing as he laughed. "Now will you listen to what I have to say?"
Kron finished his laugh and nodded
"First, I assume you refuse to hand Sepia to Tyrian?"
The Saiyan shrugged his shoulders.
"Course not, I kicked Tyrian away, not sure if he's dead or not but Sepia is still alive, I got no reason to kill her or hand her over to that scorpion." He said. "I refuse to solve one of the Branwen Tribe's problems."
Vernal squeezed her fists she thought that was the case. Sepia had been a problem for their tribe for months, killing groups of them with no issue. But she supposes she can accept if it means Raven dies. She didn't risk arguing.
"Before we continue, how about these new terms?" She began. "I tell you our lead to Raven and you leave the Branwen Tribe alone, never confront us again."
Kron looked unsure of that much to her and the rest of the tribe's fear. He really wanted to end everyone here before finding Raven. But they did humiliate her and kick her out. Maybe killing them was unneeded. For now. "Fine, you weaklings can live.
The Branwen leader wanted to lash out but knew better. She wasn't Raven, she will not endanger the tribe.
"Good, so first of all I'll have to contact the member who can remove Raven's semblance."
The Saiyan was surprised to hear that. He thought that might've been a ruse.
"Oh, good that part of the deal was real, I would've broken your other arm if it wasn't. But he's not here, why's that?"
She squeezed her fists wishing she could've killed Raven to take her power, maybe she could've dealt with Kron herself if she decided to do it when her coma started.
"Of course that part of the deal is real, otherwise I would've done more to avoid us meeting, he canceled my link so she has no way of knowing that you and I are near each other."
Kron nodded that made sense. While Raven is a coward, like anyone she can be pushed, she likely would have killed Vernal in her sleep after he and Vernal met and were separated.
The new leader of the Branwen Tribe continued.
"Originally you were supposed to meet him alone somewhere after you handled Sepia, he would've canceled Raven's semblance on you and told you the lead to Raven, that way you would never know you helped the Branwen Tribe."
She sighed and glared at him.
"But I forgot, you always give your opponents the opportunity to talk."
Kron chuckled and grinned.
"Yeah, yeah, anyway how long will it take for him to get here?" He was excited to finally get rid of the semblance that Raven plagued him with. He'll be free of her notice and able to find the hag without her ever seeing her coming.
"A few hours."
She thought he would be furious at that but no he smiled as if he was happy to hear that.
"Good, because I have some more questions to ask you, not just about my next lead to Raven."
Vernal nodded, whatever I took to get rid of this monster.
"Speaking of my lead." Kron began. "What is it?"
His glare pretty much warned her if it isn't legitimate.
For the first time since their reunion, Vernal smirked, if she can't get rid of Raven, she'll at least cause her pain. "Listen, we don't have a name yet, but we do have an idea of where you can find her in a month."
Kron rose an eyebrow in confusion, so it doesn't lead to Raven. Damn it. Maybe he should rough up a few tribe members, he didn't say he wouldn't beat them up.
"Raven has a daughter."
That one statement made Kron shake out of his annoyance and his face was riddled with surprised confusion.
"What?"
Hang on. Before we talk about Kron's discovery.
Sepia Ugla, her first name is a color, it's reddish brown.
Her last name, Ugla is a Norse Owl that is said to guide people through the darkness in the afterlife. I thought it was appropriate because of her semblance.
Hope you guys liked Light Guidance, it's a good counter for a Ki user. Sadly it has a limit that Kron is well beyond these days. And we'll be seeing her again at some point. Maybe she'll find a way to increase it, who knows.
Also I like to thank ssj Golden because he came up with the OC. I'm not sure if she came out the way he wanted but I hope he liked it. I only came up with the name he came up with the backstory and semblance. Thank you ssj Golden if there's anything you like to add to the OC let me know, cause we will see her again at some point.
Ok, now I'm sure most of you want to talk about Kron's discovery.
It took 29 chapters but Kron finally discovered a hint of Yang's existence.
And it's gonna get crazy. I did say we weren't far from him meeting Team RWBY.
On a scale on 1 to 10. How pissed do you think Yang's gonna be when she finds out Raven basically raised a kid? To be fair she did try to murder him but still.
You'll see. Hope you look forward to it.

Oh right last thing. Do not worry. Kron will not attend Beacon. Ok? That was for anyone who wants me to avoid writing Kron as a fifth wheel to team RWBY like some stories have. I don't think it's a bad thing to write, if your creative enough you can make a good story with it, it's just I've read a lot of fics where there character doesn't really change the story a lot and fall for the canon train. So I decided to avoid him attending beacon for that reason.
U guys know I wouldn't do that right? Have I steered you wrong?

Also ya that's where I got the idea that it'd be interesting to have these two talk about a possible team up. Both allowed their apprentices to feed their need to kill, both allowed them to fester to become worse as time went on and both are in danger of dying by their students. The only difference is as u said Kron's more open about it, Adam is secretly willing to do it if he sees Sienna isn't willing to go far enough in his eyes. Also good to know your interested in Eclipse, I think you'll like when they meet. Also good to know your are interested when Blake reuintes with Kron, I have plans for their reunion and ya Kron definitely feels guilty for what he did to Ghira. As u see here.

The room Ozpin made is a bit similar to the hyperbolic time chamber but it has a few other things that make it unique. I didn't just want to take the time chamber and put in RWBY. And u r right it has no time dilation, I thought it'd be too much to have something that early in the story.
Ozpin will have to be very careful who he decides to train in that room, it was something he abandoned for good reason. Maybe lol, though Kron hardly needs it now. Sienna can't exactly trust Raven, considering she played a big part in losing her leg, plus she tried to manipulate someone she raised. That means she's willing to manipulate
Who knows maybe Raven is talking about one of the Relics, something she knows someone else has, something she found that I added for the story. Who really knows. ;)
Yep u were right. Though Sienna had little reason to believe her. Well Sepia's semblance is speacial, Light Guidance, a semblance that can counter a Ki user. Sadly it had Kron excited he thought he found a Ki user to fight, oh well maybe in the future. Btw, congrats in your Ch 25 review u had a theory that Tyrian's final harvest had a semblance to redirect energy. I mean it's redirecting light but that's close enough u got it pretty much right.
Good guess, but no. Vernal has no intentions of killing Kron she wants to make sure Raven is no longer a threat and to never see Kron again. She's hoping they either kill each other or Kron kills Raven. As for the power core, possibly, that would come in handy against someone like Kron.
Yep, the only thing is unlike Fat Buu Eclipse is legitimately loyal to Merlot and he only ever wants to make his dad happy. Hope it ends well for Dr. Merlot we all know the usual of what happens with creators in dragon ball. (Dr. Gero , Babidi, Hoi). Also I have Eclipse's origin ready, we're gonna see how Dr. Merlot made him at some point in this arc I think you'll like it.

Well, Goku suppressed his power level at that moment. Kron doesn't know how to suppress his power level he only knows how to pull his punches so, until Kron can suppress his power level it can't happen. Not that it will in this story, just cause I really hated that part of the movie.(For anyone else who's reading this I know why it happened, plz don't explain, I get it. I just hate it and I'm allowed to hate it.)
suppes1:Thank you. The original RWBY storyline will be involved but, most of it will be drastically different from the original because of the changes Kron indirectly caused. For example Volumes 5-8 are impossible now because Winter became the Maiden early and before Penny, and Raven has been kicked out of the Branwen Tribe. The volumes that haven't been effected yet will also be very different. No one's riding the canon train in this story.
BunkerfreakHD: Interesting theory, well he's not exactly in a hurry to use the great ape form since he's pretty much the strongest being on the planet. But it would make more sense for him to be a great ape before getting the wrath form. He may be able find a way to use the oozaru at some point if he's pushed enough. We'll see ;).
Guest: I guess u could blame Raven for everything since Kron was still just a kid. Remembering Kali's kindness give's Kron's character depth, it was the final nail in the coffin to give up his original mission, and she was the only person who ever treated Kron kindly without expecting something in return. His real mother, Elery treated him like a servant, Raven wanted to use him for his power. It'd be kinda hard to forget the only person who treated him with kindness, not to mention it would make him pretty boring if he CAN just forget her. Asking Kron to forget Kali's kindness is like asking Omni Man to forget about his family. Also Kron is pretty much asking people to try to kill him, he loves that. Hell during his fight with Winter he demanded she go for the kill if she could, he loves that everyone is trying to fight or kill him. Besides Ozpin doesn't want to kill him since he doesn't know him, he just wants to prepare for his people to defend themselves against him or whatever Salem is planning. Also, he pretty much is neutral, he's not taken any side as of yet.
Ruenion: Well Dr. Watts has his own project his working, perhaps it's something like that.
U were right, it was her biggest supporter. And she betrayed Raven, that's gotta suck. Funny thing is she died for her in canon.
