Dark Equalizer

Kron was brought in to Garnet's office and looked at a screen on the wall.

"Here's the footage that Junior sent us."

She pressed a button to play.

The golden haired girl punched Junior in the face sending him flying.

Kron couldn't help but admit that was a good punch.

She then started punching and kicking with numerous men surrounding her.

"Hand to hand?" Kron asked out loud with surprise. "I was expecting a sword, didn't expect this." He said actually impressed.

Watching her he can tell that her hand to hand was better than what Raven taught him.

Did Raven teach her or was it the father?

"So I found some more info." Garnet explained as the video played. "Her name is Yang Xiao-Long, seventeen years old, and strongest graduate from Signal Academy."

Kron listened and watched the video.

"Yang Xiao-Long" He repeated. "So that's her daughter's name."

The video kept playing and Kron couldn't help but admire how she fought.

Not enough people on the planet appreciate hand-to-hand.

He never thought that Raven's daughter would.

"Heh, she's a lot less subtle than I imagined her to be, Raven would never do something so" He watched as Yang punched Junior through a wall. "showy." Not that he disliked that.

The elder woman chuckled. "Indeed" She watched the video. "I must say, I am happy that Junior was willing to provide us with this video, I was a bit worried that he wouldn't help."

Kron glanced to her. "Why's that? Didn't you say he owed you a favor, he calmed himself when I told him about you."

She chuckled. "Yes, but he's a bit sour with me, a few years ago he accused me of hustling him when Slate became my champion, which I did not, he won fair and square." She explained. "It looks like he's ready to let that go." She glanced to see that he stopped listening and focused on the video.

She shrugged and realized it was time to remind him of something.

Garnet coughed to get his attention.

Kron turned to the runner of Dead End Arena.

"So, what about my proposal?"

The Saiyan turned back to the girl and thought of how close he was to his revenge. If he can wait, he can have many people tell the story of how he killed Raven Branwen.

It would be a fight many would remember, many would tell the story.

He's waited nine years. What's a couple more months.

"Alright, I accept."

Garnet looked shocked.

"T-truly?"

"Yes, I will wait, let me know when you will schedule the fight."

"O-f course, I'll make some calls!" She was excited at how she can maximize her profit on the death match and used her scroll. "Let me know if you need anything! Thank you again!"

Kron shrugged and focused on the screen while she was talking to someone about increasing her arena's defenses.

As he watched the video he had to admit, this girl was something worth fighting.

Maybe he can have fun holding back on her before scaring her like he intended.

He hasn't fought anyone hand to hand since that Taijitu Tai master back in Anima.

Either way, he can't wait to see Yang's terrified face at his strength just like he saw Raven's.

Outside the door was a man with gray hair and gray eyes, dressed in black and white robes.

Slate growled hearing how excited his manager Garnet was at having this exhibition match held at her arena, the arena where he is supposed to be champion.

He walked away scowling and clenching his fists knowing there was nothing to be done given how easily the Scourge had knocked him out.

In the room Kron smirked at the fun he's going to have in the future.

Still if he's gonna have to lay low for a few months he'll need something to do.

He'll head to that book store 'Dusty Pages' should be able to get some reading material there.

Hopefully it'll have a bigger selection than Tuskon's did.

Safehouse

Cinder waited with her arms crossed, normally she'd have more patience but for three reasons she despised the wait.

One was that her 'partner' was more open about how annoyed they were with waiting.

"Whoever this guy is has a lot to answer for, I have better things to do then to sit here."

She eyed the man waiting beside her.

He was a man with orange hair, a red lined white suit with long black pants. Also a black bowler hat with a small feather tucked in its red band.

"We've been over this Roman, you get more pay in exhange for this, so quit complaining."

Roman rolled his eyes as he took a cigar and lit it.

"Whatever you say, just know you're slowing me down with getting the supply of Dust you wanted."

This was the second problem she had with waiting, she needed Roman to acquire as much Dust in time for the Vytal festival as possible and her 'colleague' told her he needed Roman's assistance for it.

"Hello, so sorry to keep you waiting."

The two criminals looked towards the entrance to see who it was.

It was a lanky man with a white and black outfit. Long braided black hair and most notably, a scorpion tail.

Cinder mentally sighed at the sight of Tyrian.

And here was the third problem, the colleague that she had to contact in the first place. If only Hazel had been available, he would've just politely done his job and left without any need to criticise her.

This scumbag however was the biggest thorn in her side that she ever had the displeasure to work with.

Roman scoffed at the newcomer.

"Oh great, another animal Cinder?" He asked as he pulled his cigar and left a puff of smoke. "I'm not very fond of arachnids."

Cinder actually fought the urge not to chuckle but turned to Tyrian.

"You've kept us waiting, Tyrian."

The Scorpion Faunus scoffed.

"I was merely trying to get ahead, I found where he's staying."

She rolled her eyes.

"You have what you need?"

Tyrian nodded.

"Correct"

"Good then go do it." Cinder demanded.

Tyrian chuckled and shook his head.

"Not so fast" He said. "I was told to first find a sacrificial pawn."

He turned to Roman.

The bowler wearing man looked offended.

"Excuse me?" Roman looked to Cinder. "Did you just bring him here to show what you think of me?"

Tyrian chuckled at his reaction.

"Oh of course not you! I merely require you to act as a broker to sell a product to someone with a problem with the Scourge."

The orange haired criminal listened. "Oh, ok, good, finally a Faunus with respect." He put his cigar between his lips. "Alright, so what am I selling, and who am I selling to?"

Tyrian smirked as he reached into his pouch.

He pulled out two glowing black Dust crystals.

"These should be enough to solve our little problem."

In A Dark Alley

Sometime later Roman was standing the alley waiting.

"Ugh, this is a job any two bit criminal can do." He complained as he smoked. "I'm starting to think this job will be the death of me."

After a bit of waiting someone finally came to the meeting place.

Roman looked at the person up and down. Grey hair, grey and black robes. No doubt this was the guy.

"Slate! It's been awhile since I've seen you, how's Garnet doing?"

Slate scoffed at that.

"Forget that, just tell me why you called for me Torchwick, the only time I ever see you is when you want to meet with the old woman." He replied. "I was told you'd have something that would interest me."

Roman chuckled and clapped his hands.

"Ah, straight to business huh? Always pegged you for the no nonsense type, great to see that I was right." Roman replied. "Ok so first I want you to confirm something." He smiled. "The Scourge of Anima, he's staying in the Dead End Arena right?"

Slate had no reaction on his face, while he didn't care for the Scourge or his plans he still didn't want to incur his wrath.

"No, he's not."

"Loyalty huh? Charming." The criminal said as he released a puff of smoke. "But trust me, that's only gonna drag you down." He stated.

Slate turned around and was about to walk away.

"Let's say hypothetically he was here, wouldn't you like a way a to beat him."

The champion stopped walking and glanced his way.

Roman smirked, he got him now to start the pitch.

He reached in his coat and pulled out two Dust crystals.

"These here, can help you with that." He explained. "Completely free of charge, you can do whatever you want with them, all you have to do, is make sure the Scourge isn't really around."

Slate turned around and walked forward.

He gripped the mysterious Dust crystals and looked at them.

They looked like Gravity Dust crystals, but they were glowing and made some kind of sound. It almost sounded like, screaming. Also there was writing on each of them.

"What are these? What do they do?"

Roman smirked as he pulled out his scroll.

"I believe a demonstration will seal the deal."

He played a video of the scroll it showed a man holding two Dust crystals.

Slate watched the video patiently, his jaw dropped as it played. After a good fifteen minutes, he was convinced.

"Need a replay? Or do we have a deal?" Roman asked.

The champion looked at the Dust crystals, the video he saw, it didn't look fake. Not to mention Roman Torchwick wants the kid gone, if he doesn't comply he might make things difficult for the arena.

Garnet would still never agree.

Which is why he will take this in secret.

"Alright Roman, expect him gone in a couple weeks."

"Great! Now if you excuse me I gotta go, places to rob, dust to collect so on and so forth." He replied. "Oh and uh, Garnet doesn't need to know right?"

His manager was too busy with the scourge to worry about him, he nodded.

And so Roman left with a satisifed smirk.

Once he did Slate looked down at the black crystals.

He remembered what the video showed him.

Slate squeezed his fists thus crushing them.

The black Dust turned to red and blue smoke.

As soon as the smoke hit the air as if it had a life of it's own, the blue and red smoke went into the nose and mouth of the champion.

Slate started compulsing, his whole body looked like it was going through a seizure.

He fell down on his knees and grimaced in pain.

His grey Aura showed, then it changed to red, then blue, and back to grey again.

After a bit of struggle Slate's body stopped shaking and he chuckled.

The champion slowly got up and rose an arm.

He felt it, his body, his Aura.

It all felt incredible.

First he'll need time.

Then he'll be ready to put the Scourge in his place!

Vale three weeks later

Kron had walked carrying a new selection of books with him from a place called Dusty Pages.

He hoped that this would be enough reading material to last for a couple of weeks.

During his time laying low, he developed a routine.

In the daytime, he'd go explore the city, visit any museums he could find, and of course, get a good amount of food to eat.

At night he would read, train in the Dead End Arena's training room, watch the fights Garnet had going on, or go out in nearby forests to fight Grimm.

It was pretty similar to his life back when he was Daim's champion only he doesn't participate in any of the arena's fights.

Which he was bothered by to say the least.

Sure fighting Grimm was ok and more or less the same result if he fought a huntsman but still, he missed seeing any new semblances that might do anything to him.

Not to mention he could collect a good amount of weapons, he hated how the Grimm never leave anything behind after dying. Their entire bodies just disintegrate including the bones.

Oh well, this lifestyle isn't too bad, besides he has to remember what he's doing this for.

A grand final battle with Raven Branwen, so long as he stays hidden and behaves himself. He'll be rewarded with a fight to the death for many people to see and remember. It will be a story of how the Scourge of Anima defeated Raven Branwen. A story many will tell just as he did with his father back on Planet Vegeta.

Yes the wait will be worth it.

*Bang!*

Something hit his cheek as he pondered.

He rose his hand and caught what hit his face.

He glanced down at it to see a bullet.

Kron glanced at who shot a bullet at him.

There were a bunch of men dressed in black and red suits that looked like the ones from Junior's bar, they were attacking sa girl with a scythe.

The bullet wasn't meant for him, it was a stray shot from this fight.

He thought of intervening and joining the fight. Against both the girl and the men who shot him.

But he knew better.

The Saiyan sighed, he can't blow his cover, the bullet wasn't meant for him anyway.

He left as the girl in red chased after some man wielding a cane.

None of his business.

Dead End Arena

Garnet was pacing back and forth looking at her scroll seeing that Slate didn't respond.

Damn it. This match had a lot of money on it.

Maybe she can try asking the Scourge to have this fight?

But he's over at Dusty Pages, he's not going to be back for awhile.

"Where is he?"

Just then the door opened.

In walked Kron with a new pile of books.

"Kron, it's you, have you seen Slate?"

"No why?"

"He hasn't shown up for his match, he keeps saying he's training."

Kron shrugged and kept walking.

"Wait, can you please go get him? It's very important that he doesn't miss this match!"

The Saiyan was annoyed but sighed, he suppose it was a nice change in pace considering how long he's been laying low.

"Where is he?"

Garnet sighed as if a huge burden has been taken off her shoulders.

"There's a warehouse he uses for training outside of Vale, but close to here." She said. "Thank you. But please, don't get too rough, he has a match soon."

Kron shrugged, he'll have to avoid knocking him out."

"Take these to my room." He handed a pile of books to one of the guards and walked away.

Warehouse

Kron walked into an abandoned warehouse quite a bit away from Vale until he sees who he's looking for.

Slate dressed in his robes wielding shields with dust spikes on them.

The Saiyan rose his hands. "There you areSlate come on." He waved at him as he turned around. "Garnet's been looking for you."

"Forget what the old woman says, just attack me."

Kron rolled his eyes. "Ugh, just think about last time."

Slate chuckled.

"If you don't I'll spread the word that your'e here Scourge of Anima, and that might ruin your plans."

The Saiyan squeezed his knuckles and sighed.

"I'll drag you back with your face on the ground."

Slate smirked and brought his hand up to lure him close, his grey mirror barrier appeared around him.

Kron grunted as he charged forward and threw a punch with the same amount of force he did last time.

His face made contact with his Mirror Force like last time.

To his surprise, it didn't even crack.

"Wha-" Then the mirror glowed and Kron was sent flying back.

Kron put a hand on the ground as he was pushed back.

Red liquid dropped to the ground.

The Saiyan looked bewildered as he put his hand on his face and pulled it out.

Blood, his blood was shed from his check.

From a man he one shot last week.

Kron looked amazed and turned to Slate who grinned.

"How'd you do that?"

It was a genuine question.

"Hehehe" Slate only chuckled. "Doesn't matter, just know that I will be dragging you back to Dead End with your face on the ground."

Kron didn't even feel insulted he just looked down at the blood. He hasn't bled since Winter, after hearing what Vernal said he thought only four people would be able to make him shed blood. But this guy did it.

The Saiyan smiled and cracked his knuckles.

"Ok, congratulations Slate, you might actually be worth fighting."

Slate chuckled as he waved his hand toward himself signaling to bring it on.

The Saiyan ran forward at super speed and he punched the Mirror barrier with a little more force.

It didn't shatter but it did force Slate to take a step back.

Kron then threw multiple punches and kicks at the barrier with faster speeds and greater force.

Slate then rose his right arm and pressed a button on his wristband.

A shield formed from it, it had yellow colored spikes in the center and was aligned in three circles.

Kron remembered that shield, it was called Shatter Spin, a shield that he would for offense and defense. Its spikes were made from Lightning Dust.

The Saiyan threw another punch which the Mirror Force barrier absorbed.

Slate is backhanded with his arm holding Shatter Spin.

Kron ducked under the spikey shield and threw another punch.

And the barrier absorbed it.

It was beyond impressive, these punches were harder than the last time the Saiyan punched him.

Slate laughed as his barrier glowed grey.

Kron knew what that meant.

He jumped as the Mirror Force barrier launched a light with the combined force of his previous attacks.

The light broke through the roof of the warehouse showing how much the barrier was able to tank.

"Hehehe" Kron chuckled. "Here I thought I had to wait for a few months before I could have fun."

Right now it was looking like he had to use more than half of his power.

"Hey, monkey!" Slate yelled. "What's the matter did that scare you? Come on! I'm just warming up!"

He's got more in the tank? Good.

The Saiyan floated, rose a hand, and fired an energy blast with a bit more power than usual to it.

Slate merely stood there as his Mirror barrier took the attack but instead of reflecting it back it merely glowed showing that it was storing his energy like it did with his punches.

He fired more and more Ki shots into the barrier.

His opponent chuckled and yawned as his barrier was able to take in all the energy.

Kron glared at that, it was the first time in a while since anyone's had the nerve to insult him during battle.

"Try taking this then."

The Saiyan fired another Ki wave, this one was a bit stronger than anything else he sent.

Slate grinned as he yelled, his grey Mirror barrier glowed and fired back a light with the combined force of Kron's previous attacks.

And not surprisingly to Kron they couldn't quite stand up to Kron's attack.

"haha, you didn't think I stopped holding back did you?"

The Champion of Dead End Arena chuckled, it was time to use his other ability.

His aura changed from grey to red, his barrier also changed to red.

Suddenly the grey light started pushing toward Kron.

"What?" Kron questioned as the grey light overcame his ki and hit him full force.

He was sent flying back and hit the wall behind him with spiderweb cracks all over.

The Saiyan's eyes widened, that shouldn't have happened. His attack was overdone by the Mirror Force. But that didn't make sense, those blasts he fired earlier were weak, it shouldn't have overpowered the energy he fired even combined.

"Hahaha!"

Kron focused on the laughing champion.

"Yes! I've done it! You're done brat! Look at you! Your back is literally against the wall, and what's that?" He asked looking all over Kron. "Are those bruises and blood I see! Yes! The mighty Scourge of Anima does bleed!"

Without much effort, the warrior walked out of the hole in the wall.

"Hahaha, well, looks like I'll have to be the one holding back this time." Slate grinned. "Tell you what, I'll go easy on you if you agree to a match in the arena where many can see, otherwise I will drag your broken body for all to see, I will tell them how easily I beat you."

The younger champion didn't say anything he only looked at Slate and breathed in and out.

He then dashed toward the Mirror Wall at speeds he hasn't shown since his fight with Winter.

"What?"

Kron appeared in front of the barrier but then he vanished and appeared behind him.

Slate turned around in shock at the boy's speed.

The Saiyan then threw a forward chop for Slate's throat.

His Mirror Force can only be used on one side of his body, he'll need time to move his mirror barrier to a different spot. Time Kron will not give.

And to Kron's shock, his strike phased through the man and his whole body faded.

Kron looked bewildered once again.

"How the hell?" He looked around wondering what that was.

"Hehehehe"

Suddenly he can hear Slate's voice, only it was coming from three directions.

"Good job, you haven't lost your touch."

It was Slate with his grey hair and robes walking forward.

"Alone I am outmatched."

He turned to his left to see yet another identical Slate hiding in the shadows of the warehouse.

"Good thing I'm not."

Kron turned around to see a third Slate reveal himself from behind.

The Saiyan's head was spinning, three Slates, four if he counted the one he just took out.

"What is this? I thought you wanted to fight alone, did you get help from someone with a duplicate semblance!?" He accused him, trying to rationalize what was happening.

The three just laughed simultaneously. "Keep guessing we'll tell you if you're right."

One of the Slate's Aura changed from grey to blue, the blue light then appeared at his side and formed another Slate to replace the one Kron had just beaten.

All four slates occupied a corner of the warehouse.

Kron looked at the duplicates each of them taunting him to go after them.

"I guess this is some enhanced ability his semblance has, after doing whatever training Garnet said he was doing, still it's only been over a week since I one-shotted him." He shook his head. "Screw that, questions for later, I'll start going after the real one."

One of the four Slates glowed red as he pressed a button on his Shatter Spin, it started spinning, and the Dust spikes started firing while the shield spun.

"Dust spikes, pfft, those don't really do much to me anymore."

But once the bullets were fired Kron noticed that they were at a greater speed than they should be.

Kron immediately moved out of the way knowing that these spikes would cause some injury.

Slate chuckled as he turned Shatter Spin not only at Kron but at his duplicates who all had Mirror barriers.

The Saiyan noticed that the three duplicates all hadn't fired any from their Shatter Spins, he phased through a duplicate when he hit, so their incapable of physical combat. But their Mirror Force works and the real Slate is attacking their barriers so that means.

"Oh shit."

Surrounding him the duplicates Mirror barriers that the real Slate had hit had started glowing, spikes were launched at him, at speeds that Kron could usually see in slow motion, not this time though.

Kron jumped as the spike dust projectiles hit the center.

The surrounding duplicates aimed their mirror barriers up toward him.

With some effort, the Saiyan avoided the spikey projectiles.

All the while Kron noticed something.

Only one of them had a scent, he couldn't touch the first Slate. So that must mean that most of these projectiles shouldn't be a threat to him. Plus again only one of them had a working Shatter Spin, the rest are firing Mirror Force shots from being attacked.

He looked towards the one with the scent and flew toward him.

The other three fired their dust spikes at him as his guard was down.

Kron weaved and rolled threw the Mirror Force shots knowing that they'll run out of force to fire at him.

He was only focused on the one the real one.

Slate kept firing his dusts spikes only for the Saiyan to dodge every spike.

Kron appeared in front of Slate and threw a punch, as hard as he threw against Winter before he went all out.

The Mirror barrier started to crack from the pressure.

It was strong enough to hurt a Maiden, and all it did was crack it.

Slate chuckled as his barrier turned red and fired a Mirror Force shot.

Kron ducked as the attack went passed him, he turned to see the light hit another Slate holding his own mirror barrier to block it.

The real Slate then stood up and slammed his shield through the mirror barrier across the Saiyan's face.

Once the spikes made contact they exploded in lightning and launched him at fast speeds toward the duplicate of his opponent.

The duplicate grinned as his aura changed to red, his mirror barrier turned red, and fired the force of his punch in the form of a red light.

It hit the Saiyan's back and made him skid across the floor.

All four Slates laughed as they believed they had the upper hand.

"Hey!"

They stopped and focused on the 'Monkey Faunus'.

"Slate I don't know how you did it, but" He stopped as if wondering if he was right. "You have two new semblances other than Mirror Force don't you?"

All four of them spoke at the same time.

"Why do you figure that? How do you know this isn't just new abilities I now have."

Kron scoffed

"Tch don't give me that crap, whatever 'training' you did couldn't have given you this much of an upgrade in such a short amount of time." He reasoned. "Also not only can you make copies of yourself, but you're also able to increase the amount of strength that I throw at you when you toss it back at me, right?"

All four were silent but then chuckled.

"Bravo! You deserve a banana!"

All of them laughed at their own joke.

Slate's semblances:

Original semblance, Mirror Force: He can send any attack at him back to the attacker. He can also absorb the force of attacks into his barrier and stockpile on it with the force of other attacks on top of it and send it anywhere he wishes.

Added Semblance Projection: Able to create holograms of the user or other people. These images share with the original what they are able to see, hear, and smelll. And their able to use the semblance of whoever the original can do so long it does not involve physical contact with the body. They cannot touch physical matter and will fade if touched.

Added Semblance Double Impact: The user can double the force of any strike the user is in control of. (Note, combined with Mirror Force it doubles the attack after receiving it and reflecting it back)

"Good job kid, you figured me out not that it's gonna save ya! You're gonna be even more broken than you left me the three times we fought!"

Kron grinned.

"Love the sound of that! But" He frowned as if disappointed. "It's already almost over."

"What?" The four demanded as if they were offended.

"You heard me, it's almost over."

All four of the duplicates looked angry at him.

""Your dead!" The four shouted as the one real Slate pressed a button on his shield, he glowed red showing that he activated Double Impact on it to double the force of the spikes.

Kron turned to see another Slate behind him ready to absorb the force of the projectiles should he dodge.

He ran forward and swayed most of the lightning spikes, some actually did hit him but only a few, most hit the duplicate with the Mirror barrier behind him.

Slate scoffed, he wasn't worried, he was looking for close combat, but as long as he's focused he can keep. Not to mention his duplicate can fire Mirror Force shots at his opponent's back when he's open.

Kron was a couple of inches from him, electricity ran through his body but he didn't get hit with enough spikes to slow him down or cause serious injury at his level.

And he through a punch not at Slate's Mirror Force but at the ground.

The impact of his punch caused a small crater which spread to the ground beneath Slate's feet.

Slate then slipped and started tilting.

The duplicate behind him that got hit by the missed Dust spikes started mixing Mirror Force and Double Impact again.

Kron chuckled as he took advantage of the tripping Slate and got behind the real one.

The Real Slate caught his balance and tried to desperately backhand him.

But he caught his arm and spun him until his back was towards the duplicate firing his attack.

"No!"

The duplicate couldn't stop as he fired many shots at the real Slate.

Kron jumped as the real Slate was attacked by his own duplicate, his Aura showed visible damaged that noticiably changed from grey, to blue, and red.

Slate cursed as he looked up at the Saiyan who was floating, he looked like he promised pain in the future, he aimed his shield at his duplicates in an attempt to give them ammo to fire at him.

But Kron smirked as he flew above while both hands were showing his fingers. Five dots of Ki on each hand as the real Slate kept firing his dust spikes.

Once the Saiyan landed in the ground between them he spread his arms apart.

"Guided Swarm!"

Three blasts went to the real Slate, the remaining the three got two each.

"Idiot!" All four insulted again.

Each of them took in the energy blasts with their barriers, along with the lightning Dust Spikes they were recieving from the real one then they glowed red showing that they were using Double Impact.

Kron had a blank face as they doubled the power of his attacks.

Each of them fired back the attacks.

The Saiyan then jumped as the grey shots hit the other barriers.

"Ha! We can just double it agai-"

Suddenly their Mirror Force barriers started cracking.

He looked freaked out and glanced at his projections.

The doubles all seemed to have blue cracks all over.

"W-what?! No!"

The Projection duplicates were all destroyed in blue light.

The real Slate's Mirror Force was breaking unable to reflect the blasts.

Kron appeared in front of the Champion of Dead End Arena.

In a desperate attempt to defend himself, Slate tried to bash his shield against his face again.

But he was slower, due to a lack of Aura.

The Saiyan uppercut Slate's chin and sent him flying.

Slate screamed as he flew across the warehouse until he hit the wall behind him.

Kron sighed as he saw his opponent's Aura shatter. He was hoping that he was wrong, he was having so much fun.

The young man floated in front of the older champion.

"H-how? My Aura, I, I know I had more of it to spare than this, how did you do that?"

Kron chuckled.

"And you called me the idiot? For a champion, you don't seem to know enough about your new powers."

Slate tried to move but couldn't he was only panting.

The Saiyan decided to explain what happened.

"I don't know what you did to gain these new semblances and extra Aura, but it was definitely recent. Maybe a couple of weeks ago?" He asked. "If so, you haven't learned how to manage them appropriately, you may have mastered your own semblance, but these two extra ones you use too much of your Aura on them, wasting it more than it can recharge."

It was like back then when he used too much Ki on his techniques back when he was a child.

"Still that was fun, if only you had taken the time to learn to regulate your Aura on these extra semblances, we could've had even more fun afterwards."

As fun as he had fighting Winter, only it was shorter.

"Now then, let's go, better get you to Garnet so she can get you to a doctor, she get mad that your'e not able to fight in your match though."

Slate growled in rage, he tried to move, his Aura was starting to recharge, he was going to try using his Projection Semblance to escape but then something snapped.

His eyes glowed blue and then he looked at Kron with a face showing he was terrified.

"W-who are you?!"

Kron rose an eyebrow.

"What? Did I hit you that hard or are you trying to trick me?" He asked. "Bad idea if that's what your trying to do that last one."

Slate looked terrified and shook his head.

"Ow, ow, owwww!" The so called champion whined. "W-why am I hurt, did you do all this?"

"Huh?" Kron couldn't believe what he heard, he only fought Slate a couple times in his life but he's never acted like this.

"Help! Someone help me!" Slate shouted.

Kron tilted his head wondering what was going on.

Just then his eyes glowed red.

"Who the fuck are you?! Where am I?!"

Slate then glared at Kron, his eyes brimming with wrath.

"You little shit I'll beat you into the fucking ground!"

He started getting up but yelled as he was in pain and glared at him.

"J-just wait I'll butcher y-"

Again his eyes glowed this time, grey, Slate's Aura color.

Slate looked around.

"W-what just happened I-"

His eyes glowed again blue.

"Help me!"

Then red.

"I'll kill you!"

And grey again.

"Wh-what's happening!"

Kron looked confused. Did he hit him too hard? Must have.

"Whatever Slate, I'll just take you back to-"

"Raaahhhhh!" He screamed as he got back on his knees.

His eyes glowed and kept switching from red, to blue, to grey.

"Make it stop!"

He screamed at the combination of three different voices.

The older champion stopped and fell on his back.

Kron couldn't stop staring at the body of his opponent wondering what he'll do next.

Nothing happened the body wouldn't move.

The Saiyan walked over and looked at Slate's face.

He looked like he was still alive more or less.

His eyes were open and blinking. His mouth was open and drool escaped his mouth on the side.

Also his eyes they were changing color like before, between, red, blue, and grey.

"What just happened?" He asked as got closer to Slate and snapped in front of the champion's face to try to get his attention. "Slate? Slate? You still in there?"

A groan was only heard from him, meaning he did hear him but couldn't seem to speak.

"Well at least your alive, what did you do Slate? Whatever you did to get all that Aura and Semblances, seems to have a hefty price."

It must be a steroid for Aura of some kind something recently made considering he's never seen it before.

Whatever it was, he had to use most of his strength. If the fight continued he would've had to fight all out, if only Slate didn't burn through his Aura reserves.

Maybe someone else can take it and give him a bigger challenge.

He shook his head now wasn't the time, to think of that, he needed to take this oaf back to Garnet.

Little did Kron or Slate know, they were being recorded by a camera placed by a third party.

Safehouse

On a monitor the battle between Slate and Kron was being witnessed by four individuals.

Cinder Fall, she scowled, trying to keep a neutral expression on her face, she didn't want to show her true feelings to her present company. The Dust Salem had created was everything she was told. More Aura, additional semblances, and it could even make someone like the Scourge bleed!

Salem believed that his power surpasses a normal Maiden at least. And yet these crystals made some overglorified thug strong enough to harm him. If she can get her hands on those crystals, even with only half a Maiden's power she could surpass him!

Adam Taurus was fighting not to have his jaw hit the ground. Kron's power was stronger than he remembered. The Bull Faunus thought that he closed the gap but watching this, he has no chance against him. He doubts Cinder has any chance against him.

But those strange crystals. If he can get enough of them, he could destroy him. He eyed Cinder. Maybe he can swipe them from her, he can't allow that monster to get these crystals.

Roman smoked a cigar. "Glad I wasn't your guniue pig, still, you should probably get more if you want to bring this monkey of our back." He was starting to think maybe he should ditch this deal if this kid was going to be here.

"Hahahaha!" Tyrian laughed and turned to the three who witnessed the bueaty of Salem's work. "Behold, the work of a goddess, soon, we will have a steady supply of them." He grinned at the two power hungry people. "This, is the newly developed Soul Dust."

Adam squeezed his fists and looked over at Cinder.

"When can I expect to get mine? For myself as well as my men?"

Cinder looked at him with a frown.

"As soon as the side effects are removed." She looked at Tyrian. "Which will be soon, right?"

Tyrian chuckled.

"Perhaps, though it could take awhile."

She fought the urge to incinerate him, she turned as she heard footsteps.

Roman smoked and started walking out.

"Roman, where are you going?" Cinder demanded.

The bowler wearing man released some smoke and turned to the three.

"Look, I just wanted to see what we're dealing with, if you want to fight over this suicide Dust go ahead, I'm just gonna do what I'm paid for and get some more Dust. Gonna have to make up for little Red mucking it up right?"

He just wanted to finish this deal and maybe just hide out somewhere. The sooner he gets their Dust the sooner he can leave this city to burn by these maniacs.

Cinder didn't say anything as he left and looked over at Tyrian.

"So now what? Do you not have any more Soul Dust?"

"Nope, my work here is done?"

The half Maiden watched him walk away.

"Wait, you were supposed to either force him to leave or kill him!" She yelled. "Isn't that what you were ordered to do?"

Adam heard her talk like someone else was in charge. So there might be another threat to deal with in the future. Perhaps whoever created this Soul Dust.

"No, no, no" Tyrian chuckled. "My orders were to test the Soul Dust and see how they fare against the boy." He explained. "I only have one thing left to do and then I will be leaving Vale, you are on your own for now."

Cinder's right eye emitted a golden flame like light.

"Tyrian, surely you we're not ordered to leave him for us to deal with ourselves."

She hated to admit it, but watching that fight made her realize that the amount of power she has now is not enough. From what Tyrian had said, he made Qrow Branwen run and Salem believes that he had bested or at least fought the Maiden in Atlas.

"Hehehe, oh do not worry, arrangements are being made to have the child removed from the city." Tyrian giggled. "I know that your frightend of him, are you scared that he might find you working with him?" He gestured to Adam.

The Bull Faunus decided that he hated him, Faunus or not he was as insufferable as the human. Possibly even more so.

"Just avoid him however you can, keep an eye on him and keep your distance." Tyrian suggested as he walked out. "You will be contacted on, 'suggestions' for your next move."

The scorpion walked out leaving the two.

Adam looked at Cinder. "I would rather have those Soul Dust crystals, but I do have a possible way to have Kron, the Scourge leave the city."

Cinder didn't listen right now, she was too angry. This boy, that power. She didn't just want him to leave so they can perform their plans, she wanted to destroy him.

Beacon's semester starts tomorrow, she has a couple months to get rid of him.

One way or another she will not allow him to get in her way.

Alright, after like 12 chapters since their debut you finally know what the new Dust Salem created does.

Some of you probably guessed it before this chapter, even if you did I hope you enjoyed the reveal.

So Soul Dust.

Anyone here played Elder Scrolls? They were inspired by Soul Gems. Well to be honest they're kinda the same thing lol, inspired might be a stretch LOL. The only difference is their not used for enchanting but as power ups, they empower the user by the trapped soul's Aura, and get a new semblance!

So that is Salem's equalizer for Kron, extra Aura and extra semblances, but as you can see there are downsides, which will be further explained later.

From the looks of it they're not worth it, I mean look at Slate, he's a drooling mess now. But Salem is working on a way to undo the side effects.

Imagine how terrifying they'll be if their perfected. Last chapter Kron one shotted Slate and here he made him bleed.

Oh right! Also, we are finally in the RWBY timeline! It ony took 33 chapters, god this story is slow, am I right lol!

Anyway I thought of maybe writing Kron stepping in just for fun but decided against it because if Kron wants to stay undercover he can't stand out, especially if he wants an audience for his deathmatch with Raven. Plus that encounter was recorded so Ozpin or Qrow would probably realize that it's Kron in disguise.

Speaking of Kron agreed to Garnet's deal, buuut, she migh've lost her best fighter. If she takes back the deal what do you think Kron will do?

Also how much of the story do you think Kron would change? He has already made Volumes 5-9 impossible to happen now, so Volumes 1-4 are likely to change to. Unless Cinder can figure out a way to get him to leave. Good luck with that lol.

Don't worry though I promise he will interact with Team RWBY in this arc.

Hope u guys look forward to finding out and more!

Bashleyz: Possibly, though that'd be a tall order, espeically not killing Raven. But we'll see, glad u liked the story so far!

Guest: Chapter 2 contradicts with your idea, Kron had a scouter but it couldn't read their Aura. In this story Aura and Ki are different, their rules will be explained in future chapters.

epantoja521: Which is why I will take the time to work for it and develop one instead of rushing it. Just like I've been doing with Kron's character development. When it happens, it will not be forced.

Guest: Understandible. Also Blake would need to forgive Kron for what he did to her dad.

jnautking: Hey, been awhile. Interesting thought, maybe one day we can explore that.

anon919: All fair thoughts, Raven has been through a bit, and looks like Kron was willing to wait but, he might've just lost that deal.

SirAlphonso: That was the original Void Vault Ozpin created, Raven will not find anymore Void Vaults, the only other one is the one in Ozpin's office, what she will find is other artifacts and structures that might help. As for power levels, I don't like doing power levels, it's too much guess work.

ThatSaiyaguy: I feel like Tai should Ozpin gave them treatment like he did with Team RWBY.

And here Slate was able to challenge him.

Cinder does have a habit of disobeying if she thinks she can get away with it, but she's wiling to be cautious, for now.

Possibly, she is looking for any lead to Raven she can.

Thank you!

Shrine: Of course. Thank you for reminding me so I can fix my error.

1. Yes and no. See it lasts as long as the previous Maiden is willing, they can ditch her at any point in a fight.

2. In a way yes, but she has to train to get to that level after the previous Maiden allows herself to get absorbed.

3. Yes, she has to train to master it each time she gets a previous Maiden's help otherwise she can overstrain herself.

4. Yes that would happen.

5. Possibly

6. Ya that'd probably would happen.

7. Lol omg I love that, I couldn't stop laughing at the thought of that, it'd be so hilarious. I can't promise how things will go, but I love that idea lol! Great job thinking that.

8. Vernal would've screwed herself over more than even Raven lol.

Lelouch of Zero: You were right, Kron's need for attention won, but it looks like it might've been ruined. Well Adam might have something, if it doesn't work what woud Cinder try. Who knows maybe Adam's idea will get him tossed through a mountain. Tai will have a pretty good part of the story. Thank you, hope u enjoyed this one as well.

Runieon: We don't know what Tuskon did for the Fang. All we know is that he was leaving and was dealt with. In this story he was passing information while hiding as a book store owner. Also, those pairings are still possible if I was willing to work for them, I'd just have to go through quiet a bit hurdles which could be fun. As for Neo, possibly, but Yang is also strong and determined and in time so can Blake. So I say there are options I would just need to put the time and work in.

silverhawk88: That is true, plus he likes to get to know his opponent before finishing them so he'll at least be caught off guard learning how different Yang is from her mother. Also that is possible.

Ok I think so that's it.

Well got nothing much more to say, except.

Have an awesome day! :)
