Now here you go the hope u enjoy.
The Game Begins
Kron rubbed his shoulder where pressure hit him and stared down at his new opponent.
He was focused on her eyes.
Was that a fluke? He swore he felt that.
Guess he'll start small.
He charged at the same speed as he fought the Ace Operatives.
Glynda immediately rose her riding crop, a purple glow and vibrating sound formed at the top.
And Kron stopped in mid-air. He stopped and felt some pull around his body.
The professor then put her riding crop down.
Kron felt an enormous weight on top of his body and hit the ground. "Telekinesis, not bad, it's stronger than others I've seen." He said looking up at the woman.
Glynda said nothing as she waved her riding crop again.
The pressure got more and more heavy clearly she was trying to make him lose consciousness.
"Tch" Kron decided to use more strength and charged after her. However, he was slower than usual.
Glynda immediately jumped out of the way as the Scourge missed an attack.
The Saiyan stopped and landed, the ground cracked around his feet.
"I see, you're using your semblance to weigh me down," Kron commented and turned. "Not bad, but it's not strong enough." He decided to see how attacks from a distance worked and fired a red Ki ball.
Glynda swayed out of the way as it exploded the wall behind her, she sees him approaching him.
Kron through a punch for her gut, but was stopped a foot before he could reach. He tilted his head and looked up at her. "Oh, you made a shield, clever."
The professor then rose her riding crop up.
Beneath Kron, a chunk of earth rose and slammed into his head. It hit him and propelled him away.
The Saiyan felt that.
Glynda sighed and lifted her arms up to where Kron was.
Peirces of rock broke from the ground, and pipes formed out, they glowed purple and seemed to turn to particles.
Kron stopped himself midair, but just then purple particles wrapped around his wrists. "What now?"
A large slab of rock came behind him and the purple particles attached them as well.
They then materialized into metal chains.
Before the Saiyan question any further the chains he was wrapped in pulled him against the slab of rock, his arms and legs stretched out, his back against the table of rock.
Kron moved his new chains wondering where they came from, and realized, they were much stronger than they should be. He looked ahead as noticed something.
Glynda was right in front of him floating wrapped in purple light as his new chains are.
"Will you stand down?"
The Saiyan said nothing at first only looking at her face, mainly her eyes as he did before. Still nothing, no firey glow.
"You broke down the metal of the pipes below and put them back together as these chains " He noted as he moved his arms with elite huntsman-level strength but was unable to move them. "And you're using your semblance to strengthen them huh?"
Glynda said nothing but was impressed at how quickly he caught on to what she did. Most of her adversaries would have trouble understanding her semblance's capabilities, more so after Ozpin had asked her to train in the Void Vault. Her semblance was powerful before, but after the intense conditions of the Void Vault, she's gotten stronger and her abilities were sharper than ever.
She then put her hand on his mask ready to take it off.
But Kron threw a punch, this time at Maiden-level strength.
Instinctively Glynda opened her hand and caught the fist as it broke through the strengthened chain she had him in. She grimaced as she was pushed back from the force.
Kron then forced himself out of the chains and threw himself at her.
The professor from Beacon rose her riding crop, huge chunks of earth rose to form into orbs and were meant to slow him down.
He punched or dodged out of the way of the earth that was being thrown at him.
Kron opened his hands showing ten tiny energy balls at his fingertips.
"Guided Swarm!"
He had his technique of 10 Ki orbs spin around him destroying any chunks of rock that were being thrown at him.
Glynda noticed the control he showed over his ability and floated back as a cloud of Dust form. In front of her.
Just then he appeared right in front of him.
She looked down shocked at how he got here undetected.
"Manticore Massacre!"
Kron punched Glynda in the stomach, making her keel over, and she was sent into the air from the impact. The Saiyan then flew up to kick her abdomen which sent her flying higher until she was close to the ceiling of the warehouse. Kron then flew up further and punched her in the stomach sending her higher, through the ceiling. He then flew up with his knee out and hit the professor below the chin making her whole body flip until she was facing the sky.
Glynda looked up at her opponent to see him repositioning himself downward and turning around with his fists downward, toward her.
Somehow in her mind, she sees a manticore in the Scourge's place with its claws out ready to pounce on its prey. That made his name for this attack appropriate.
The Saiyan dashed downward in an attempt to use his technique a second time.
But Glynda was able to keep her wits and used her riding crop to make what looked like a purple glyph.
This surprised Kron as his fists collided with the shield, cracking it. A glyph? No, a structure made from her semblance.
The huntress held her stomach and used her semblance to pull back, she then focused her riding crop on Kron and slammed her hand down.
Kron's body unwillingly smashed through the purple wall she created and crashed into the pit she had made in the ground.
Glynda sighed as she gripped her stomach, she let him get to close. As she thought, she needed to keep a distance, close combat is suicide with him.
She floated down over the hole in the ground surrounded by pipes and earth. Good, she had an advantageous spot, so long as she can keep him down there.
Kron got up grabbed his head and chuckled. "That's good, no need to end this soon." He glanced up to see Glynda wrapped in her semblance floating above the hole he was in.
This was no doubt fun, still, he needed to find out something.
"Say, are you a Maiden by any chance?"
Glynda said nothing though on the inside she was surprised that she knew that term.
Kron was annoyed and continued. "Come on, Winter wasn't willing to share anything with me, but I know the details, I know what they are, and am aware of who two of them are. There should be no harm in telling me, you are at least curious about how I know aren't you?"
He reasoned surprisingly well, it was odd that he knew of those powers, it'd be good to learn how he knew that.
"How do you know of the Maidens?"
So she's aware of them that was good.
"I was trained by one, you may know her, Raven Branwen," He said and looked at her. "I've fought two Maidens so far and know for a fact that so far you seem on par with them, I didn't think huntsman could get this strong, so are you a Maiden or not?"
There was no need to lie about this.
"No, I'm not." She replied.
Kron was surprised to hear that. "A normal huntress with this kind of strength? does that mean you are a Soul Dust user?"
Glynda looked confused upon hearing that.
"Soul Dust? What do you mean?"
The Saiyan stared at her for a few seconds, she looked genuinely confused.
"No way" He responded. "How? I've fought huntsmen and huntresses for years, the best of you have never been this strong. How's this possible?"
That she'll keep quiet about. Telling him of the Void Vault would not be wise. If Qrow, Taiyang, and herself reached these levels after a month in the Void Vault who knows how powerful this boy could get? Not a pleasant thought.
"Beacon only trains the best." Glynda replied and aimed her riding crop. "Now, surrender or face the consequences."
The Saiyan didn't like how she wouldn't answer his question but shrugged. Fine, time to continue the fun.
Kron dashed upward towards her.
Glynda immediately waved her riding crop horizontally making a purple glow.
All around the hole that she created the pipes glowed and changed into chains like before.
Kron noticed this and avoided them as they tried to wrap around him like last time.
Glynda took advantage of him trying to avoid the chains and aimed at him.
The Saiyan felt a pressure around him and glowed purple. "Grr" He couldn't move as chains started wrapping around him.
"Tch" Then he floated up still slowed down by the telekinetic pull of the huntresses' semblance.
He turned to her glaring behind his mask.
Glynda kept a stoic expression but on the inside was grimacing, she tried to use her semblance fully on the Scourge but he was still moving, clearly slowed down but she couldn't make as much use as she liked with his level of strength.
Kron decided to take her challenge at a long distance tossed a Ki ball to her.
Immediately the huntress jumped out of the way as the blast hit the roof of the warehouse.
She then waved her riding crop in a circular motion.
The Saiyan glanced around to see chunks of rock and metal surrounded him.
"So your trying to keep me in the pit to give yourself an advantage." He said aloud as all the debris were tossed at him, while he himself was still feeling the pull of her semblance. "Interesting"
Even slowed down Kron was able avoid the debris or breaking with punches, kicks or plain old energy all while he was slowly rising out of the pit.
Glynda can see that this wasn't going anywhere, she had no choice then, he's proven he's durability, she'll have to hope he can survive this.
She waved her crop and this time the walls of the put started to close.
Kron destroyed the last bit of debris and he noticed his surroundings closing in. He looked up at Glynda who seemed to be looking at him in a sorry expression.
The huge hole in the ground was closed as if nothing happened.
The huntress sighed wiping the sweat off her brow. She'll reopen the pit after he's sure to be passed out. However strong he is, he still needs to breath, surely that he-
The ground started to crack.
Glynda's eyes widened, her body glowed purple and she used her telekinesis to float up to the railing.
The ground was destroyed as Kron flew up and stared at Glynda covered in rock.
"Care to try something else?"
Glynda grit her teeth as she waved her riding crop again.
Chunks of rock were being ripped again and tossed his way.
Again the Saiyan crushed the debris by punching and kicking.
"One trick pony." He said annoyed that she isn't trying anything new.
But then once the dust settled Glynda was in front of him with her riding crop pointed at his masked face.
"What?"
Her riding crop glowed purple, and this time Kron's whole body didn't glow purple just his head, he felt a strong wave of pressure against his face and it was enough to propel him forward by his head.
His mask cracked from the pressure as it did for Winter.
With him now caught off guard, Glynda used her semblance to catch him midair and pointed downward.
This sent a huge wave of pressure on top of Kron and sent him crashing against the ground.
The impact was so strong that it made a huge crater just as deep as the last one.
Glynda got on one knee clearly tired from using her semblance on an opponent so strong.
But there was no time to rest she needed to get him restrained.
She can see that he was on the ground with a cracked mask, and he was starting to get up again.
And so, Glynda waved her riding crop again the pipes surrounding to glow purple and be reshaped into chains again.
This time the chains seemed more successful and wrapped around Kron's body like a spider wraps its prey in web.
His entire body was wrapped in chains only his head is shown. And his mask was once again broken showing his right eye, blood left his forehead showing that Glynda had definitely reached Maiden level strength.
Glynda stared down using her telekinesis to keep the chains wrapped around Kron hoping that she can keep him down.
And Kron looked up at her.
In times where his opponent can make him bleed, he'd be excited.
But this time he felt different.
This time using more of his strength Kron rose his arms breaking the strengthen chains once again.
Glynda grit her teeth, she had hoped that attack would've been enough to keep him out of it longer, but no matter.
She started reforming the chains and they once again began to wrap around Kron's body.
But then the chains didn't wrap around anything only into a ball as if the 'Monkey Faunus' was never there at all.
The woman looked all around the warehouse searching for her opponent in a panic.
Just then a back hand fist showed at the left of Glynda's head, but it didn't make contact.
Her eyes widened as she saw the fist.
Kron was standing behind her holding a back hand fist next to the left of her head.
"Just like Winter, you can't keep up with full power either huh?" He didn't have a smug tone, rather a disappointed one.
Glynda immediately turned around and fired a telekinetic pressure.
But the Saiyan wasn't there and the pressure wave she sent hit the wall behind him making a huge hole in the wall.
The huntress's eyes widened as she sees nothing, she kept glancing around the warehouse, fighting her frustration to remain focus.
"So"
She heard that voice and turned around to look up.
The Scourge of Anima was sitting on the metal railing with his masked head resting on his chin.
"This is impressive, normally I'd hold back to have fun but- "
She pointed her riding crop towards him to grab him with telekinesis.
But Kron vanished just before her semblance could take effect.
Then she felt her neck getting grabbed from behind, a thumb on the side of her neck and two fingers at her throat.
"but" The Saiyan continued. "This has gotten really old, opponents that can make me bleed usually are enough for me, but now I think I want more than that."
Glynda didn't listen as she glowed purple and grabbed the arm that was using the submissive hold. Combining her physical strength with her semblance she was able to shoulder-throw Kron over upward.
She then aimed her riding crop at Kron catching him and slammed him down into the ground creating another crater in the ground.
The huntress was sweating clearly at her limit, the way he spoke, how he acted, how she couldn't keep up with his speed. It tells her that he truly was holding back against her. When she is supposed to be able to contend with a Maiden!
She looked down to see the Scourge starting to get up. She aimed her crop at him to pin him down.
But Kron stood up with little signs of the telekinesis pulling him.
"Not bad, you broke out of my Taijitu Bite grip, that knocked out Discount Winter" He replied and sighed. "But as I said, this has gotten boring to me, so I'll end it now, but since u made me bleed, I'll use a technique to finish you."
This wasn't good, her Semblance wasn't doing much anymore. Just how much did he hold back?
Kron rose his arms up with his hands open. Large orbs of Ki were formed over his hands. The orbs then shrunk condensing, he then closed his hands over them and floated upwards with closed fists of red energy lighting up in his hands.
Glynda stepped back trying to figure out what to do next, she had to stop him here and now. Who knows what kind of damage someone his level of strength can do to her students, and to Vale?
She decided to take drastic measures and waved her riding crop. The building around them started to rip apart, and orbs of large rock started to form and surround Kron.
The Saiyan paid no mind and aimed his closed fists forward.
"Berringel Burst!" He opened his hands firing a red energy wave towards the huntress.
Glynda used her telekinesis to hurl the rock at him as he fired.
She then focused on the wave of energy hurled at her.
It was at a quick speed, too quick to simply dodge.
She aimed her riding crop forward forming a purple shield to block.
Kron noticed the surrounding orbs of rock coming at him, he looked towards Goodwitch using a barrier.
He smirked behind his mask and let his Berringel Burst go, not releasing as much energy as he would into it for its full power.
The Saiyan then smashed through the orbs of rock as he did before with very little effort.
Glynda was pushed back as the barrier was doing very little to slow the energy wave down.
And as if that wasn't bad enough she stopped moving. The side effects of the Void Vault kicked in, she saw a moment in her life back when she was a student. When her young self watched as her teammates were slaughtered by Grimm.
And she could no longer keep up the barrier.
It shattered and the red light attacked her whole body.
The red blast exploded and smashed her through the wall and onto the street.
The battle between them made the abandoned warehouse crumble to rubble.
People all over finally noticed the ruckus and walked towards the collapsed building while police and huntsmen were trying to keep them away.
The people looked towards where they thought they saw a person who was blasted out of the building.
But her body seemed to have vanished, leaving the authorities to ask the locals questions that they did not have answers to.
Vale Bullhead Station
Blake and Yang had made it to the hangar that takes Bullheads to Beacon.
The two panted, Blake more so than Yang.
The blonde turned to Blake. "We made it, you alright Blake?"
The disguised Faunus nodded. "Yeah, I am." She looked down at Weiss in her arms she still wasn't waking up.
Yang nodded and looked at her sister. He really knocked her out. Her eyes became blood red for a second before calming herself. It's not what she needs right now, she needed to get her to safety.
"Team RWBY." A calm calculated voice spoke.
The girls turned to the source and smiled, never happier to see the man before him.
"Headmaster Ozpin," Blake said with a smile. "You sent Professor Goodwitch to help us right?"
Ozpin nodded and pointed at the bullhead's entrance.
"Correct Miss Belladonna, now come, we need to le-" He stopped mid-sentence and looked above. "Oh no"
Yang and Blake looked confused then turned and looked up. Shocked expressions showed on their face.
Floating above was the Scourge of Anima holding a beaten Glynda over his shoulder.
He glanced over to the man with the cane, landed on the ground, and tossed his right hand over to the headmaster.
Ozpin instinctively caught Glynda in his arms and stared at the warrior before him.
He knew it was a long shot, he warned Glynda to escape if she can't see a way to win.
Kron looked at Ozpin and at Yang and Blake. He stared back at Ozpin.
"If you are at the same level as she is, then feel free to attack, I'll end the fight quicker than hers," Kron said the headmaster. "I have business with the blonde one, feel free to listen in but don't interfere, it'll be useless."
Ozpin looked at him for any signs of fatigue.
None. He didn't seem to be the least bit winded. He wasn't too surprised; Glynda was only at maybe above normal Maiden level. And he knows from Atlas that he is above a Maiden, but he didn't realize that he was above by so much that it doesn't seem to tire him.
He put his hand on his cane ready to unleash the power he's stored over many lifetimes. But did not want to resort to it. The explosion may harm Team RWBY and possibly a block of the city.
He himself attacking would be even more useless. His strength wasn't much compared to a Maiden. He couldn't even use the Void Vault.
The Void Vault first has you fight against yourself at your strongest. For Ozpin he would be forced to fight himself as his original self, Ozma, with all his original power which rivaled Salem's. And he holds no candle to the abilities he once had.
The first time he tried to use the Void Vault, his original self Ozma had killed him and he needed to reincarnate. Which gave Salem the time to get three of the relics. It was sheer luck that he had managed to take the relics back.
He has no chance against him, but he can at least by time.
Ozpin glanced at Yang next to him who was glaring at Kron.
"Miss Xiao Long, say the word and I will stall him as long as I can, you and Miss Belladonna take your teammates to safety."
Yang looked at him and shook her head.
"No way, he's after me." She turned to Blake. "Go, get my sister and Weiss out of here."
Blake shook her head determined to stay and see if she can talk Kron down again. And looked at Kron who seemed focused on Yang. "I'm not leaving, he's my problem to."
Ozpin eyed the students and sighed. Disappointed in his own lack of power. They were being realistic though, the time he'd buy would be minuscule.
Right now, the Scourge has the power in this situation.
"What is your business with Miss Xiao Long." He knew of course, but he sensed that he wasn't just going after Raven. He wanted something else with her.
Kron landed on the ground; he lifted his hand to his damaged mask. And took it off.
Ozpin was surprised that he was so willing to reveal his face.
Spikey black hair pointed left and right. A young man's face with black eyes.
Yang recognized him immediately, so it was the same person. She almost thought it was someone else given how different he acted.
Kron placed his mask on his sash to the side. "No need for masks, since you have those two able to identify me." He said to them as he sees both the conscious students and the headmaster ready to fight.
"I am not here to fight rather, I'm here to make an offer," Kron said eyeing each of their fighting stances. "One that I think both Yang and you Ozpin, would be interested in."
The headmaster said nothing to this and only glanced at Yang who still had a hardened glare at him.
"We're listening" Ozpin wasn't sure why he'd offer anything, but it was worth hearing since nothing would stop him from knocking Yang here and now to lure Raven out.
Kron looked at Yang, Ozpin, and Blake.
His focus was Ozpin, he oversaw Beacon if he remembered right meaning he sent that huntress after him.
He'll get in his way even if Yang would agree. He had to see if he can win him over first.
"Ozpin, something you should know," Kron remembered what he learned since his stay in Vale. "This city is going to fall at some point."
The Headmaster didn't respond he only wondered what he could've meant. From the sound of it he wasn't threatening it.
But his students didn't pick up that expression.
"Kron" Blake began aiming her weapon at him. "Are you threatening the people of Vale?"
"Tch" Kron turned to the disguised Faunus. "Come on Blake, look at your headmaster, he knows that I wouldn't need to resort to that, I can just knock Yang out here and now."
The disguised Faunus turned to Ozpin who closed his eyes showing his shame for how right he was.
Yang only glared harder at Kron both at how he was basically forcing them into listening to him and herself for being unable to do a thing despite being at full strength.
"Anyway," Kron continued looking back to Ozpin. "You have many White Fang scurrying around in and out of the city, more than you probably think, I'm not sure what their planning but it involves a lot of Dust, every dust robbery you've heard is more than likely for the White Fang, human or not."
Blake heard that; her instincts told her to keep her mouth shut to keep her heritage a secret. But it was over at this point. Weiss will wake up demanding answers.
"You're wrong" She responded. "The White Fang would never work with humans, especially criminals."
She sounded offended like she always was when Kron offended them when they were children.
Kron looked at Blake and scoffed. "These White Fang are a different breed than they were back then Blake." He explained remembering the corpses and weapons they had in their hideouts. "I noticed they added three claw marks on their banner, they're not the peaceful group you used to prattle on about, are they?"
Blake tried to argue but couldn't. It was why she left. She hated to admit but he was right.
Yang looked over at Blake noting how sad she looked hearing that and back at Kron willing to listen.
"Also, they're working with someone who has access to a new weapon an enhancer that can take people's Aura and rival her." He pointed over at Glynda.
Ozpin wasn't surprised hearing that, but noticed he was keeping quiet about specifics no doubt withholding to make his offer enticing. It sounds like the Dust crystals Hazel utilized to fight Qrow after his training.
So they do have more than what Hazel was carrying which was worrisome.
"I don't know what method you used to make Goodwitch strong enough to make me bleed, but in terms of strength I'd say their equals, though who's to say that they aren't taking their time to give all of the White Fang these enhancers, think you can make more warriors than the White Fang?"
The headmaster thought of that. No. They couldn't just have every huntsmen they knew use the Void Vault, he had to be selective who would use it. Qrow, Taiyang, and Goodwitch struggled greatly in the Vault. It was only because he had kept an eye on them and given them a needed break entering the Vault.
This new Dust, Salem had created, she likely has more and making more. He doubts it will be as limiting as the Void Vault training and if that is the case, their side will not be able to overcome them.
"So" Kron continued. "During my time here I found out who they're working for. Names such as Tyrian, Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai and their leader who will remain nameless until you agree with my offer."
Ozpin recognized the name Tyrian, but not the other two. So he knows more about Vale's situation than he did. Also by leader who did he mean? Salem, or the ringleader here in Vale? If it's ringleader then whatever his offer is worth listening to.
"We get it" Yang responded still in a fighting stance. "You know about the bad guys here but get to the point. What are you offering and what do you want?" She asked in an irritated tone.
Kron chuckled amused by her temper.
"See I haven't had to use my full strength in a while, whenever I do no matter the opponent I always have to hold back just to have fun." He remembered his fights with Winter, Slate, and of course Glynda. "At first opponents that can make me bleed were fun but now, I'm kind of bored of them, it's always the same, I hold back to their level, they try their hardest and the fight always ends when I see they can't keep up anymore."
Ozpin listened to him and remembered Qrow's report of his encounter. He seemed to always be on the hunt for a fight. And he's searching for his equal.
"Ever since the last time I held back, I've been thinking of a fight I had with a huntress over a month ago." Kron continued. "A woman named Sepia, she had a semblance that made me think she had the same abilities as mine, it gave me the idea for a little experiment."
He then turned to Ozpin.
"I thought of finding someone who can maybe learn what I do, not just anyone, someone with certain talents I'm looking for and luckily for you, one of your students is the kind of person I was looking for." He turned to Yang. "And as I said, were going to make a game out of it, if you agree to play it, you will have a chance to save your mother from me, if you don't, I'll just knock you out, bring her here and kill her before you can say a word."
Yang listened and didn't show any fear. "What's the game?"
"Before that" Kron began and turned to Ozpin. "During the game, Vale will be under my protection, so long as you nor your cronies don't interrupt it. Understand Ozpin?"
The Headmaster was surprised to hear that, he wanted to say he'd reject it, but hearing to get someone of his caliber protection for Vale. It was another reason why this was worth considering.
The Saiyan smirked and turned to Yang. "Now the game will beat me in a fight by the end of Beacon's semester, if you can your mother gets to live, and for fairness sake, I will help you with my experiment."
He held up one hand and a red ball of Ki formed in his hand.
This made Yang tense up and Blake was aiming her weapon again.
But Ozpin looked at them and shook his head. He knew this wasn't to attack.
Kron rose his Ki ball and looked at Yang.
"Yang Xiao Long" Kron began. "If you agree to play my game, I will teach you how to use my ability, Ki."
Ozpin's eyes widened upon hearing that, part of him expected this but he had his doubts since he knows Yang's connection to Raven. He learned that whatever he was using was not Aura from talking to James. And he was offering to reveal how it works to Miss Xiao Long.
Yang was confused was he offering to train her? After all this? And what did he mean by Ki?
Blake was the most surprised before he was determined to hurt Yang but now he wanted to train her. What was going on today?
Kron held up his Ki ball looking at all three of the people he was talking to. Ozpin looked tempted though he was good at hiding it, Blake seemed surprised, and Yang looked less angry and didn't know what to say.
He wondered if she'll agree or if he'll just knock her out here and now. He said his terms, it'll be up to her.
Yang remembered how he said he can bring Raven here anytime he wants. She'll have to remember to ask that but first she wanted to know something else. Hopefully, he's in the mood to answer some questions.
"That power, what is it? Ki? Do you mean Aura?"
Ozpin knew it wasn't and hoped he would explain too.
"It's not Aura, something else," Kron replied. "It's a different form of energy, your mother tried to kill me if I didn't teach it to her."
He was being vague, to keep them interested in his power. The Headmaster had to admit that was pretty cunning the less he explains the more tempting the offer.
Yang was shocked again hearing that, she tried to force him to teach her. Just what kind of relationship did they have? What kind of person was Raven?
Blake was confused and somehow wasn't surprised hearing that Raven tried to force them to learn this power from him.
"Ok, that's it you need to tell me everything about my mom now," Yang demanded glaring at Kron. "Who were you to my mom? Why do you want to kill her? Why did you go crazy when you saw me with Blake? And what do you mean knocking me out will bring Raven out? Talk!"
She shouted, her hair looked like a roaring fire and her eyes became blood red. Clearly ready to fight.
Which only made Kron chuckle, he definitely made the right choice in offering to teach her his ability. She'll be fierce if this works, the Ki ball in his hand dissipated and he crossed his arms.
"I will answer all your questions, once you agree to the game." The Saiyan then glanced over to Ozpin. "You know Ozpin it's a win-win situation if she agrees, but you and Vale will be better off if she participates even if she loses and Raven dies."
Ozpin had an idea what he meant but wanted to ask anyway.
"What could you mean by that?"
Kron chuckled.
"Think about it, if she takes the deal learns Ki, and Raven dies. What do you think would happen?"
The Headmaster's eyes widened. So that's what he's after. He wants to train Yang in his ability, then if she can't give him the fight he wants he would use that fight to lure Raven, kill her.
And Yang would gain the Maiden abilities in addition to training into what he calls Ki.
Even if her power wouldn't surpass the Scourge with that. Surely it would surpass Salem with all that.
This, this was too good to ignore.
Yang grits her teeth and looked ready to attack.
"If you refuse, the game then your mother dies."
The fiery blonde was about to give in to her rage and attack, but a cane was in her way.
Yang turned with her glare at Ozpin.
The headmaster shook his head.
Blake came to Yang's side.
"Calm down, Yang, let's not attack him yet."
The boxer growled angry that they were right, and she breathed in calming herself down.
Ozpin stepped forward which surprised Kron a bit as he glanced at him.
"Your proposal is worth looking over, please give me and my students time to discuss."
Kron eyed him for a few seconds before he shrugged and sat down.
He was expecting him to discuss it here and now, which made sense. He needed Yang for Raven but Ozpin was aware of that.
He turned to Blake and Yang.
"Headmaster, is there nothing we can do?" Blake asked.
Ozpin looked between her and Yang, both students looking to him for guidance.
This was a hard situation. Glynda was their only fighter that can put up a fight against Kron.
On the one hand, they weren't sure if they can trust him, on the other hand, this seemed too good to pass up even if Raven's life was at risk.
Arguably if Yang was at risk. He hated thinking that but it was true.
"Miss Xiao Long at the end of the day, the choice will be yours, however, I do have a plan should you agree." He turned to Blake. "Miss Belladonna, I believe that you are the key to getting the best result out of this for everyone, him included."
Blake looked confused, but she was determined to help and listened in.
Ozpin explained his plan hoping that it will result in what is best for everyone.
Solitas
A building stood tall with many Atlesian Knight robots and soldiers marching around.
Many airships were flying its skies as well.
A military base most would never think to invade.
Even Grimm avoid the area as many of their kind were slaughtered by the technology and soldiers.
Though one more unique Grimm is here.
Looking at the base from above sitting on a cliff was a bulky humanoid creature, with nevermore wings bone armor on elbows, knees, and a three-horned top half of skull on top of its head, with green spikes at its spikes with glowing green eyes.
Eclipse looked at the base up and down as if scanning it.
'Eclipse'
The mutant Grimm stopped and listened to the voice of his father.
He squealed as if confirming that he is hearing him.
'Good the communicator works at this range, as expected of Watts.' Dr. Merlot noted. 'That tower you see has the information that we need,, Winter Schnee is away, the opportunity is right for you to attack.'
Eclipse squealed and started flapping his wings.
'Wait' Dr. Merlot interrupted. 'Let me remind you of your mission.'
The mutant obediently stopped waiting for instructions.
'Inside this base is information on a new project Atlas is working on.' He explained. 'You are to go inside find out what that project is and return home. If possible, steal the project and bring it here, but this is optional only do so if it is within your current capabilities. Understood?'
Eclipse made a light growling noise.
Merlot understood it was a confirmation. 'That's my darling boy! Now, go! Have fun but remember your mission!'
The creature roared ready to start the mission.
Inside the Base
Ironwood had his arms behind his back and a stern look on his face.
It had been some time since the Scourge's visit to Atlas. Since then he's done all he can to prepare the next time he decides to invade.
He's had Winter as well as the Ace Operatives go through intensive training regimes. That is pushing them to the limit daily.
Winter has been especially forced to rest. She seemed to have taken her loss at the Scourge hard. He couldn't blame her; she was made one of the four maidens within her and lost a week after she had them. Her Semblance gave her some idea of how to use her Maiden abilities which is why from the beginning she showed great use to use her new abilities.
And yet that wasn't enough to combat the Scourge. Still despite that he was proud of the initiative she showed. However, would like her to show more restraint.
This is why he was even more glad they will not have to completely rely on her power alone to handle the Scourge.
Ironwood stepped into a room with a long table, many men in lab coats were talking and silent themselves at the sight of the general.
Two, in particular, are the smartest in the room and in charge of this project.
One man was in a robotic chair, heavy set with a grey mustache and brown hat. Dr. Polendina is in charge of Project Penny as well as Project Crusader.
Then there's the more unlikable but talented scientist in the room. A bearded man in a suit with a large cybernetic left arm. Fort Lee Rockshow, another scientist who is arguably as gifted as Dr. Polendina. While he was gifted and needed for this project, he was not a man Ironwood was proud to associate with.
"Dr. Polendina and Dr. Rockshow" Ironwood greeted with a stern look. "How has Project Crusader progressed."
The thinner scientist smiled excitingly. "It's working great! Currently, the Crusader armor has been improving our test subjects' Aura as well as shown adapting to their situation, I believe it'd be ready to see how it fares against the Scourge of Anima!"
General Ironwood eyed Dr. Rockshow, no doubt he believed what he was saying but he knew better than to trust his word alone. He eyed Dr. Polendina who is more of the honest of the two.
"I" Dr. Polendina hesitated as he looked at the mean look his colleague gave. "I'm afraid we need to perform more tests, while the Crusader armor is functioning it puts the wielder at risk, if worn for too long their bodies begin to break down."
Fort Lee scowled at the man and looked back at Ironwood. "Be that as it may, it's a huge step from our previous experiments." He brought up. "Why it nearly killed our last batch of test subjects at this point, who is still recovering, our current ones seem to be faring well."
"Only so far." Dr. Polendina brought up. "Perhaps we should cancel further experiments and rely on droids instead."
Rickshaw waved a hand showing his distaste for the doctor's talk.
"Which is why we use criminals as our test subjects, try to put away your morals Dr. Polendina, it doesn't serve the project."
Ironwood said nothing as he stared at the project in question.
It was in some sort of compact form, in the shape of an arm-sized box with a button in the middle. Once pressed it will activate the armor.
"And these individuals haven't experienced any side effects?"
"Yes, I even have four individuals I think will be able to bring down the scourge." Dr. Rockshow replied. "With training, they can form a team, Team ABYS (abyss) four prisoners with enough brains to understand that it's in their best interest to do suicide missions for us."
Ironwood glared over at the scientist.
"We spoke about your suggestion of this idea to have a team of rogue huntsmen and soldiers." He said. "And I refuse, they are test subjects, it isn't wise to trust criminals with our technology."
Dr. Polendina sighed as if glad to hear that he wasn't agreeing to this suggestion.
Fort Lee growled but sighed. "Very well, but just know we have a team ready to do what we need."
James didn't respond, while he wanted the Scourge dealt with, he did not want to rely on criminals to do it. Also even they didn't deserve the current long-term effects they have.
"Now Dr. Polendina, how is Project Penny coming along?"
Dr. Polendina smiled glad to hear this topic instead.
"Wonderful really, I believe by the end of the month she will be ready to-"
Just then the room glowed red, and alarms rang.
This terrified Dr. Polendina and Dr. Rockshow glanced up wondering what was going on.
James pressed a button on a computer.
"Report, what is the situation?"
"Sir! We have Grimm!"
The general raised an eyebrow and replied.
"What kind of Grimm? And how many?"
"O-one" He responded. "And we don't know wh-ah ahhh!"
A bludgeoning sound was made, like a splat.
Ironwood looked confused and pressed a button to look at exactly what was going on in their base.
The screen showed the base and what it revealed wasn't a horde of Grimm or anything Ironwood has seen.
The general's eyes widened.
Dr. Rockshow was silent as he stared at it. "What is this thing now?" He sounded a mix of terrified and
James would like to know but he had a feeling who sent it.
Outside
Many robots and guards were shooting at the creature attacking.
Eclipse was floating while flapping his wings staring down at the people below.
He made a whining noise, he thought they would have better toys to play with.
The creature swung his wings firing multiple nevermore feathers across the battlefield.
All the soldiers and robots were struck in various places tearing them apart.
Once it was done it landed and walked towards the entrance.
A paladin landed right in front of him to stop him.
The creature made another whining noise, he killed another one of these back on his father's island before he had to ripen Lady Salem's Soul Dust.
When he was weaker.
The Paladin aimed its right hand firing a cannon into the creature's body.
Eclipse brought his wings over his body shielding him from the cannon.
Once the mutant put his wings to his side he looked at the paladin and decided to test what his father gave him.
A green line formed below his Grimm mask and opened into a mouth.
He focused on the core that housed Dust and decided to use the Light Dust he had.
A green laser beam left his mouth and clashed against the Paladin.
The Paladin stumbled back with a crack across the head.
With a roar Eclipse charged and slammed his feet against the large middle of the mech making it fall on its back.
The monster then punched his fist into the glass and pulled out the Atlesian knight and crushed its robotic head.
Eclipse then started walking into the building.
Two huntsmen, one wielding an axe, the other a hatchet attacked the monster.
The creature growled; they don't have the toy his father wants either.
Both Huntsmen attacked his neck to cut his head off.
But his hide proved too tough to pierce the neck.
Eclipse grabbed their faces and slammed them into the ground.
He then opened his mouth and fired a beam of Light Dust into the faces of these unfortunate huntsmen.
Their Aura's shattered and their faces melted off revealing their skulls.
Eclipse then walked inside hoping that someone here was using the toy his father wanted him to look for.
Maybe then he'll have fun.
Ironwood squeezed his fists and sighed calming down.
He turned to the scientists in the room.
"Leave now, get to the hangar, and take the airships."
All the scientists left and ran.
Dr. Rockshow took the box that contained the Crusader Armor and ran.
Dr. Polendina followed as well.
Ironwood pulled out a gun and followed the scientist intending on taking them to safety.
The general led the group of scientists through the hallway.
Hopefully whatever this thing was won't be able to-
CRASH!
Ironwood stopped and stared at the cloud of dust that appeared from the newly made hole in the wall.
Once it cleared, they see the humanoid nevermore winged Grimm with the three-horned mask revealed itself to them with glowing green crystals at it's back.
Eclipse looked at the group, most of them looked weak, he could sense their fear. Two of them seem to be able to fight, but only one of them was willing.
He sees no new toy that his father said he wanted. But with the lab coats, they would know about the toy. Yes, he'll take them home, they should tell him about the toy he wants.
First, though he'll play with the mean-looking man with the gun. He looks like he wants to play, he hopes he can fight back.
Eclipse walked forward and growled.
Ironwood turned to the scientists and tilted his head. Signaling them to run.
The scientists ran the other way hoping to at least get out of the building.
But Dr. Polendina looked at the monster, he saw it on the monitor. He knew General Ironwood wouldn't be able to survive that thing.
He sees Dr. Rockshow carrying the box and running.
Dr. Polendina reached out and grabbed his colleague.
The other scientist growled at him. "Let go of me imbecile!"
"The armor, he needs it!"
"We've only made a few of them I am not wasting it!?
The two scientists then grabbed the box fighting over the armor that could save Ironwood's life.
General Ironwood ran towards the creature.
In contrast, Eclipse walked towards him calmly without a care in the world.
Ironwood aimed his gun Due Process at the beast and fired multiple shots. All the while focusing his Aura on his gun to empower the bullets.
Eclipse seemed to flinch a bit from the shots but continued walking towards him calmly.
Once the monster was close, he threw a fist down at him.
The general held his right arm up and stopping the brute's fist and cracking the ground.
Ironwood got on his knees never having been hit by such an impact.
Eclipse made a whining noise as if it were a child disappointed that his new toy was breaking as easily as the other ones.
He then slammed his arm down ready to crush him.
James rolled back and fired Due Process at his mask.
Eclipse's head tilted back from that, but his back end grew a deathstalker tail.
The tail stabbed into Ironwood's abdomen on the right side.
Ironwood looked down seeing the stinger sink into his clothes on his side.
Eclipse made a noise, that sounded like it was curious. That felt different, he thought he stung into his skin, but it felt likeā¦. Metal?
The general then grabbed the tail with his right hand, stood up, and pulled the tail
Caught by surprise Eclipse fell on his back.
Ironwood quickly stood up and stomped his boot onto the creature's neck.
Eclipse actually felt that he was stronger than before.
What did his father call it? Ensemble? No, a Semblance.
Ironwood stared down and pulled out another revolver this one black.
Ironwood's Semblance: Mettle: The more committed to his actions he is, the stronger, and tougher he gets. He is also able to see when his target has their guard down and their most vulnerable.
Ironwood then put his revolvers together forming a silver canon.
Eclipse squealed but coughed as Ironwood still was stepping on his throat, this man was more fun than he thought.
The general ignored that and pulled the trigger.
A beam of green light fired into the face of the monster.
The creature's face was hit by it unable to move creating a huge column of smoke.
Ironwood eyed down the creature's head covered in smoke, it wasn't fading, so it wasn't smart to stay on top of it. He stomped down it's throat and jumped back.
The monster tried to grab his leg, but he missed Ironwood.
And Eclipse then used his full speed to grab Ironwood by the neck.
Eclipse's mask was revealed to have a crack from the cannon form of Due Process up close.
He then slashed at the right side of his top.
Eclipse tilted his head at what he was seeing.
His top right side was completely metal.
He thought back to when his tail couldn't pierce him.
So that's why he couldn't stab him, he's like his father but he has more metal.
Now he knows where to pierce him, still, he turned out more fun than he thought he would. Should he play with him more?
Suddenly Eclipsed glanced into the hallway.
He sees an overweight scientist in a chair with legs, fighting with a man with a large metal arm over a box.
Is that the toy his father wanted? He should finish this mean man and take it.
Eclipse turned back to Ironwood ready to stab his tail into it.
Dr. Polendina took the box from his colleague and tossed it to Ironwood.
"Ironwood! Use it!"
The general caught it in his hand and pressed the button.
Eclipse sees the box and tilts his head. "Mm?"
The box then divided and spread across his body.
A blue light appeared around his body showing his Aura had recharged in seconds.
He then kicked into the creature's chest.
Eclipse's eyes widened as his feet dragged across the floor with his arms in a crossguard.
The creature put his arms down and stared at the general.
Ironwood looked like he was in a new setoff clothing.
The general was dressed in a black tight suit. With white armor plating on the chest, shoulders, elbows, knees, hands, and boots. Not to mention a glowing blue wrapped around him. Showing Aura.
Eclipse tilted his head and again made a noise. "Mm?"
Ironwood looked down at the Crusader Armor equipped to him, he can feel his Aura was recharging at a faster rate. But he didn't have long, he needed to act before the drawbacks kick in. He can feel the pain already as it was flooding him with Aura.
Ironwood ran forward at quicker speeds than before.
The mutant Grimm was surprised to see this, but he charged all the same.
With ferocity, Eclipse slammed a fist down as he did before.
And like before Ironwood rose his right arm to block.
But unlike before the general was not brought to his knees and stood tall as the ground beneath his feet cracked.
Eclipse made a noise that sounded like he was shocked.
With a yell, the general slammed his fist across the monster's face making it stumble on his left.
Ironwood then grabbed the creature's arm and slammed him into the wall. The general then with an Aura-enhanced fist slammed into the creature's face multiple times, using his Semblance to take his strength to levels he didn't think possible.
As Eclipse took another punch to his face, a green line formed under his mask. And opened, using the Light Dust inside to prep a green laser.
The general tilted his head as the blast missed and hit the wall behind him.
With a roar the monster then hit across Ironwood's face forcing him to let go and stumble back.
Eclipse then rose his fists and slammed them down like a hulking beast multiple times on Ironwood.
The general coughed as his blue Aura shattered like glass, the common sign to show his Aura had run out.
The monster growled disappointingly, he was starting to have fun, but his father wanted this toy he was wearing. With resolved loyalty, he chose to raise his fists ready to kill him and take him out now rather than drag this out like he wanted.
And as his fists were about to make contact.
Ironwood's body glowed blue, showing his Aura had recharged quicker than it should have. He finally gained his wits and rolled back as the monster's fists slammed into the ground making cracks in the ground.
Eclipse tilted his head and looked at Ironwood. That was weird, Aura can't recover that quickly.
The general then kicked into the beast's chest sending him skidding across with Mettle increasing his strength yet again.
The monster looked surprised at how he was able to counterattack.
Ironwood panted and looked at his hand. His Aura, it recharged far quicker than it should have. Also, his semblance it made him stronger quicker than it should have.
A green line formed under his mask though this time not to open and release a blast. But a smile, like a child that got what he wanted for his birthday.
He was strong. That toy he's wearing made him strong enough to play with! He can have so much fun now!
Ironwood glanced down to grab his guns, using his Aura to increase the potency of his ammo. Project Crusader was working better than he expected. The armor was increasing his Aura's recovery rate as well as increasing his Semblance's potency.
With it, he can handle this monster. But it won't be long now, he can feel it, his heart rate was quickening, he felt a burning pain in his head, and he was sweating profusely.
It was now or never.
The general crossed his guns forming into a cannon and aimed forward. He focused more of his increased Aura on Due Process to increase its potency.
Eclipse squealed excited to see what he was doing, now he can really have fu-
'Eclipse'
The monster froze upon hearing his father.
'This mission is over; another urgent matter has transpired!" Doctor Merlot exclaimed. "Leave now, I will explain once you're away from here."
Eclipse's smile then turned into a frown, he really wanted to keep playing with the tin man.
Ironwood pulled the trigger releasing a large wave of Light Dust fired.
The laser fired and created a huge column of smoke.
With a glare the general looked at it the smoke, waiting for it to clear.
Once it did, the monster wasn't there. Only a hole in the wall, showing no sign of the creature.
Ironwood was angry, since Grimm fade when destroyed he couldn't confirm if it was destroyed or if it escaped. Either way, at least the Armor does indeed work, hopefully, it will only get better with time.
Still, he hoped that the creature was destroyed, it wasn't normal.
Just then his eyes widened, his heartbeat raced more, his headache worsened.
Dr. Polendina in his four-legged movable chair walked closer to Ironwood.
"General!" The doctor exclaimed. "You did it! And the armor it works! The Crusader Armor works!"
Just then the general swayed left and right and fell forward.
Once he hit the ground, the blood left his mouth.
"Oh!" He looked down and turned to Dr. Rockshow who had stayed to observe how their group project worked for the general. "Lee! We need to get a medic now!"
"Tch" Rockshow had an annoyed expression but sighed. "Yes, we can't have him die to our product, I can't imagine his successor would be as eager to fund out project." He said silently without him being able to hear.
The armor did do better than expected, hopefully, Ironwood would live, and they'll be able to work out all the kinks.
Still, he truly hoped that strange green-glowing Grimm died, he didn't want to see it again.
Up above and away from the base.
Eclipse can be seen flying in the air, but no one was around to notice him.
Now he has a new mission. Lady Salem has need of him elsewhere.
Vale
Kron watches as the three have their conversation. He rose an eyebrow and glared.
While he was willing for them to talk he didn't like that he couldn't hear. Was Ozpin plotting something? Most likely.
If he does, he'll have time to figure it out, if Yang ends up agreeing.
Given how Blake oddly was somewhat loyal to him like Kali he doubts she would join in on any trickery. After what Raven had done to them. Though perhaps she would if she truly wanted revenge.
He shook his head; he couldn't believe that she would do that. Not Kali's daughter. And even if she would, he's not sure that he can blame her.
Whatever the case, he wanted a challenge and teaching Yang would lead to maybe fighting someone his equal. If not with Ki alone, then with Ki and Maiden abilities.
An Aura user, with magic and Ki. Yes, truly that would be a challenge to him. And he wouldn't need to hold back.
Hopefully.
"You two understand?" Ozpin referred to his improvised plan.
Blake and Yang looked at each other and back to Ozpin.
"Are you sure about this headmaster?" Yang asked and turned to Kron. "I, I don't want to involve anyone else, what if it won't work."
Ozpin turned to Blake.
"You know him best, what do you think Miss Belladonna?"
The disguised Faunus glanced over at Kron who was patiently waiting for their discussion to be over. He remembered how he was when they were kids, he was a jerk, always making fun of the White Fang and Adam.
But he also saved her from that lancer and was regretful of his actions back in Menagerie. He didn't even attack her during the fight, he only threw her wanting her out of the way.
There was more to him than just being the Scourge of Anima.
He doesn't have to end up like Adam.
"I think it will."
She turned to her partner.
"But you don't have to do this, I'll do what I can if you refuse." Of course, her only hope was to talk him down, maybe find another way to find Raven instead of risking Yang.
Yang thought of his offer, his game. She didn't like the idea of giving him what he wanted, not after what he did to her team and her sister. But she wanted to end this and wanted to know more about her mother. And if she could, maybe save her mother, if he would keep his word. And she's not even sure he would.
Also, she hated to admit it, but she wanted a chance to fight him, to be able to fight on par with him without him holding back. It was selfish she knew but that power he had, she wondered how much stronger she would get with it. And wanted to find out.
And this way her team won't have to be involved. Except Blake but she knows that he has some sort of soft spot with him especially from the observations Ozpin explained.
"This is your decision, Miss Xiao Long, I'll do what I can to assist."
Yang looked at Blake, and her unconscious teammates, and over at Kron.
She squeezed her fists fighting the urge to start attacking and sighed.
The young woman walked closer to him.
Kron sees this and began standing up to the same height as Yang.
"Alright, I'll play your game, Kron," Yang said with determination.
The Saiyan was surprised hearing that, he thought for sure she'd refuse and would have to settle for knocking her out here and just murdering Raven now with little chance for a challenge.
Kron smirked and chuckled.
"You made the right choice." The Saiyan said and turned to see the headmaster walking closer with his cane.
Ozpin looked at Kron with a serious face.
"Yang Xiao Long is one of my students, so she is under my protection, for that, I would like to add terms to her participating in this," Ozpin spoke.
Kron rolled his eyes but decided to hear him out since this deal does involve him too.
"Name them."
Ozpin held up one finger.
"First, you will be monitored, during her training."
He showed no reaction to that.
The headmaster rose a second finger.
"Second, you will let me know where you are at all times in the duration of this deal."
Kron scoffed hearing that but didn't comment, he was annoyed but willing to do it, good.
Ozpin rose his third finger.
"And three, while you are protecting Vale from the individuals controlling the White Fang, you are to report any new findings to me."
The Saiyan thought of these conditions, they were annoying. But if it meant he wouldn't get in the way of his game and result in a powerful opponent. Then fine. It should be worth it in the end.
Besides they weren't too controlling, he'll still get to do things his way.
"Fine, I accept these terms," Kron said as he glanced over to Blake who remained silent while looking at him. Funny he thought she would have something to say.
He decided to shift his focus to Yang.
"So, you ready to learn a power stronger than Aura?" He asked with a smile.
Yang only glared; her eyes turned red.
"Yeah, and I'm going to take you down with your own lessons." She said threateningly.
Kron chuckled. "Looking forward to it."
This game will hopefully be some of the most fun he'll have in a while. However, this ends, whether she's strong enough to match him or not he will finally have a fight where he doesn't have to hold back.
Either with Yang using Aura and Ki, or Yang using Aura, Ki, and Maiden abilities.
On top of that, he will have his revenge and a proper warm-up for it.
Yes, he will finally have an all-out fight.
So I'm sure some of u will say Yang would need years to learn Ki. But hear me out. Videl learned how to fly in days, I'm willing to bet she could've learned more if she trained with Gohan before the tournament. Who knows maybe she could've learned the Kamehameha or at least how to do proper Ki beams. So yeah I'm willing to bet Yang could pick it up.
So yeah Yang won't need years to learn Ki. Of course depending on how good of a teacher Kron is. And well, he's never taught anyone anything, so we'll see how that goes hehe.
But of course one important factor is Gohan has a better understanding of Ki then Kron does. But don't worry, I still intend to make her growth believable and she won't need years.
Also, the humans in here will not be canon fodder like what we see in DBZ. For reasons that will be explained later.
And for those who think Kron offering to teach her Ki came from nowhere, it didn't. If u go back to Chapter 35 and beyond, you'll see that he's thinking of an 'experiment' that he's been wanting to try out ever since his fight with Sepia. He thought either Yang or Adam would be suitable candidates to teach Ki due to their semblances.
And ironically Yang was the better candidate to him because her semblance doesn't need a weapon which he wants in an opponent. He greatly enjoys hand-to-hand over weapons. And even better if he can finally fight a Ki user.
And now he's giving her a chance to save her mother. And of course, before ANYONE SAYS IT. Yes, Kron's training alone will not be enough for Yang to beat him in a one-on-one fight, in a few months. Relax, trust me, I'll make her progress believable ok? She's not gonna go through a crazy power creep.
He's sure that Yang will lose even with Aura on top of Ki. But, he's sure he'll get into an all out fight if Yang inherits the Maiden ability on top of learning Ki. Which is what he's looking forward to on top of killing Raven.
Kron has no reason to believe Raven has gotten any stronger because from what he can remember, Winter was at the same level of power as Raven, Raven was probably more skilled with her powers but skill would only take her so far. Not to mention he has no idea about Fully Realized or the Shrines. So he assumes that Raven's power hasn't grown much since then, which is in is character as explained in Ch 38.
While he does want ti kill Raven, what he wants just as much or even more is a fight with someone his equal.
He believes that to have an equal on Remnant they must have Ki, Aura, and Maiden abilities on top.
And can u blame him for thinking so? He's been on a non stop win streak since the start of this arc.
Let's see, he won against, Qrow, Dr. Turqoise, Ace Ops, Maiden Winter, Sepia, Soul Dust Slate, Yang, Team RWBY, and now Void Vault Glynda.
Nine wins, most of them were easy to call, but u get the point. And that isn't counting the wins he had when he was fighting in the Underground Arneas. So he's been on a win streak for years.
And he's tired of the easy wins, he now wants a real fight, no holding back from him needed to make things feel interesting.
Ok so I think that explains everything, hope u guys understand my thinking at least, if all these reasons aren't good enough to satisfy u then ok, u can't plz everybody. Hope u can at least enjoy the story for what it is.
Now on to Project Crusader which I'm sure some of u were interested in seeing in action.
So here's how it works. The Crusader Armor reacharges your Aura at a significant rate as u saw, and increases the potency of your semblance. Right now it brings you up between Canon Qrow and a Maiden, so it makes u pretty top Teir in the RWBY verse. And this is the prototype, it'll be more effective over time.
Also I retcon Ironwood's semblance. Normally I don't like doing retcons and changing the story unless Kron is doing the change. But when I found out about Ironwood's semblance, I couldn't help but think it was lame.
For those of u who don't know his canon semblance Mettle, it makes him carry out his decisions more easy for him to do and hyper-focus on it.
Usually, I'm not the most critical to RWBY but that semblance in my opinion is kinda pointless. So I changed it to grant him strength and durability the more committed he is to his actions. Plus let him see where his opponent is the most vulnerable so it's not just another strength-granting semblance.
Let me know if u guys like the change or not I can change it back or make it something different again if u don't like it.
Also hope u enjoyed seeing Eclipse in action, remember he's still growing up, so if you're disappointed in him don't worry, he'll grow up pretty fast.
Alright I guess that's it.
Review Responces.
Guest: Lol Nice. Well Kron is still looking for her since she screwed up his original plans so u might get your wish.
ThatSaiyaGuy: Thank you! Glad u liked it. Well Glynda had training in the Void Vault so she had a chance, sadly not enough.
Thx, Kron's gonna be a while before his next step. And turns out your first guest was right lol. It's been hinted for awhile that he was going to teach someone Ki. The past couple chapters Kron thought of an 'experiment' that involved someone else. I didn't outright have him say what it was at the time and see if I could surprise people. That experiment is of course to teach someone with Aura Ki. His first thought was Adam since he was impressed with his semblance. Then when he met Yang he thought she would be a more interesting one since she doesn't need a weapon for her semblance.
That wouldn't make sense huh? Lol Oh well this is awkward Lol hope I made it make sense, for his game to be fair she needs an extra power up. He thinks he can take on someone with Aura, Magic, and Ki thx to his constant win streak. Plus Yang with just Maiden powers wouldn't be much different from Raven except she would need time to learn how use them, he wants to fight someone that can match him and he thinks that's the only way, which u can kind of understand why.
If Raven who is desperate to kill Kron isn't wearing that armor then that tells u that it has a nasty side effect. Sienna knows that but she wants to stop Kron from doing whatever he wants and force Atlas to further oppress Faunus. Kind of a sad situation. She knows she's being used but is willing to if it means stopping Kron.
As for the spell it's not much now but it'll definitely give her more of an edge later. Right now it can only heal minor wounds, and it might not be the only spell she'll learn.
As for Weiss summoning the Arma Gigas, yes actually. Back in Chapter 28 Winter told Weiss that she would intensify her training to prepare her better sometime before Beacon. So Weiss got a bit stronger than in canon. So in short yes, Kron's actions made Weiss better early on. So that results in her getting stronger than she was in canon.
Like I said Kron's actions keep changing the script and as u can see he's not done yet.
Hope u enjoyed this chapter!
ZamasuAutonomous22: Glad it didn't disappoint lol.
U were right about it the first time, after all a new weapon that she would have to learn how to use would probably be less effective then learning Ki. Sooner or later he'll say it, he's not having too much reason to hide it.
You were basically right and Kron didn't even want to hold back much anymore.
Hope u enjoyed the chapter!
Lelouch of Zero: Yeah, Kron can't even bring himself to hurt White Fang members so of course he couldn't knock out Blake, plus Yang is a warrior nothing like her mother. As for Sienna, yep, but she just sees Kron as the greater evil. Sad thing is she only wants to stop him from making their kind get more oppressed indirectly but at the same time he's not the one doing the oppressing. Sad situation. Hope u enjoyed this chapter!
Ruenion: Lol, I'll think about doing that for the next chapter, it sounds like fun I'll see if I can pull it off.
Shrine: Yep. Raven is not Heck no though, she is Triple hell no. Cause that would make her a groomer and that's gross lol.
Guest: Kron has grown up a bit since the Menagarie incident, he may have still jumped to conclusions but at least he's able to make room for doubt now. Plus Blake being there helped.
Also u were right with him losing his patience with holding back lol, good job for calling it.
Now he's giving Yang a chance to save Raven we'll see how that goes.
And interesting prediction for Raven we'll see, he's making room to save her who knows.
epantoja521: Interesting prediction well Kron's non stop win streak has gone to his head now. So he's willing to stay and even train someone motivated to beat him down. Not to mention thinking he can beat someone with Magic, Aura and Ki since he's above Maiden level opponents.
el. pepo: Glad you liked it lol
Imperial Romance: You'll be happy to know that I do have plans for him but we won't see for awhile I think you'll like it.
TheJsmooth: Hope it was, sadly Kron's tired of holding back now.
sarmadsadiq95: Glad u liked it.
Well Yang's agreed to Kron's training so she'll have plenty of time to ask him.
REMINDER: I'm on break now, so you won't see a new chapter for bit I hope you'll look forward to the next chapter though!
Guess that'll be it, as usual let me know what u think and what u think I could've done better.
Have an awesome day! :)
