Foreword: A cautious Vegeta is both nicer and meaner? Hell of a paradox huh? Let's see what else happens.

Frieza stood in his ship with a scowl on his face, Dodoria wasn't answering his scouter and given how his other soldiers have dropped off the comms Frieza could guess that they were dead or wishing they were.

Frieza: "Zarbon, cease your search for the Dragon Balls. Find whoever is killing my men and stop them.

Zarbon: "As you wish Lord Frieza, do you want the perpetrator brought to you alive or dead?"

Frieza: "Hmm...Alive. I want to make them suffer myself."

Zarbon: "It will be done"

The communication ended and Frieza took a sip of his wine, imagining a Namekian crying for mercy to make himself feel better. He had heard that Vegeta had gotten injured on his trip with Nappa that cost the latter their life, Vegeta later took a travel pod immediately after getting healed and Frieza was begining to suspect that the culprit of his current troubles was the monkey prince himself.

Frieza: "If I'm right I get to make a monkey cry and if I'm wrong I get to make a slug cry. [Shrug] Either will do nicely"

Frieza had the long distance communicator turned on so he could call in a fresh lot of scouters so he and his soldiers weren't blind any more. He was thinking of getting the Ginyu Force to deliver them but decided to give Zarbon a chance to deal with the problem (Vegeta or Namekian).

Dende, Goku and Bansuri landed on a landmass on top of a spire of earth with a single large house present. A Namekian steps out of the house and Bansuri takes a sharp inhale at how this person resembled his father, barely managing to compose himself before the familiar face speaks.

Familiar Namekian: "...Why are you here?"

Dende: "Elder Moori believes that Grand Elder Guru can assist them in their quest. May we have an audience Nail?"

Nail narrows his eyes at the newcomers, the spikey haired one getting the most scrutiny before giving his fellow Namekian a confused look.

Nail: "You are not familiar to me brother, which village are you born of?"

Bansuri: "I was born of Earth, the reason for this trek is the revival of our elder Namekian and my father so we can undo the damage done by an invasion we have suffered recently."

A somber look forms on Nail's face before he nods and returns inside the house. A conversation that is muffled by the building occures for a short while before the door opens again.

Nail: "The Grand Elder will see you now"

Bansuri gives Nail a respectful nod which is returned before Bansuri and Goku enter the house and see a huge Namekian with a Dragon Ball on the top of his seat. Bansuri gives a respectful bow (which Goku flounders for a moment before following suit)

Guru: "Hello child, I have heard that you have suffered a devastating loss. Please share with me your pain, experience and knowledge so I may know you"

Bansuri nods his head and uses telepathy to give Guru the full story, from his own birth to the training with his father, the experiences shared with him and the life he has experienced thus far are all shared with the esteemed elder before him.

Guru: "Hmm, you have lived a life where both understanding and strength have formed a strong bond with your father whom is half of himself but growing moreso. You are a noble soul, one I have no qualm with giving this Dragon Ball to."

Guru reaches to the top of his chair and removes it from it's place and hands it to Bansuri, the young Namekian treating the Dragon Ball with care before putting it away, earning an amused look from Guru at the theatrics of making the small bag disappear.

Guru: "I am sorry to ask this of you when you are already burdened by purpose, but I ask of you: Will you remove the evil ravaging our land?"

Goku: "Okay!"

Bansuri: "...We will do everything we can"

Guru: "Then please allow me to bestow a gift upon the 2 of you to ease the weight of this task"

Nail: "Wait! You're going to?!-"

Guru: "Yes, I can feel power yet to be reached within them. Bansuri, please stand beside me"

Bansuri does as instructed with confusion written on his features, the large green hand of the elder covering his entire head before he felt his own power surge and erupt out of him, the level of his strength astounding him and Goku.

Bansuri: "This is unreal! Thank you Grand Elder"

Bansuri stepped away and Goku stood in place having an internal arguement with himself before hoping into the space Bansuri stood in. The hand of the elder flattened the gravity defying locks of the Saiyan before Goku felt the his power just skyrocket and surge out of him like Bansuri's had.

Goku: "Wow! That's a major headrush! Thanks a bunch Grand Elder"

Guru: "There was a power inside you that I could not unleash, however I feel that you will be able to awaken that power yourself with focus and training"

Goku: "Huh? Well, yeah. That's what training is for. Thanks anyway"

Both Bansuri and Nail rolled their eyes at the exuberance of the Saiyan before everyone set about leaving the house. Bansuri recieved a final telepathic message before he flew away.

Guru: 'After the evil has been removed from these lands, I wish to reward you for your honor and service. Please return after good triumphs over the wicked'

Bansuri: 'As you wish Grand Elder'

Bansuri and Goku flew away toward a Dragon Ball signal, having to surpress their power way more then before to avoid trouble.

Gohan arrived at an empty yet intact village, an eerie silence broken by the beeping of the rader Bulma just made telling him he was close to a Dragon Ball. Gohan looked around for a short while before figuring out that the Dragon Ball was in the water and after a quick swim Gohan found the orb hidden in the underwater vegetation and rocks.

Gohan: 'Huh, guess the locals sensed something evil and hid the Dragon Ball before leaving so no one could find it and they wouldn't get hurt. I'd do the same in their place'

Gohan hopped out of the water and set about returning to the cave base with the ball, keeping his power low and running when he could when he felt Bansuri's energy spike then his father Goku's do the same. Gohan spent a moment marveling at the power boost before continuing his way to Bulma and Krillin the latter of whom also being amazed at the sudden boost in strength.

Vegeta was currently stalking Zarbon with the intent of taking him down the same way as Dodoria when he felt 2 massive energy spikes, making him pause in the attack he was preparing long enough for Zarbon to turn around and spot Vegeta then catching the punch that was speeding for his head.

Zarbon: "Well, well, well. If it isn't the Prince of Spacedust"

Vegeta: "And if it isn't Frieza's girliest bootlicker"

Vegeta lashed out with a kick to the stomache which knocked the wind out of Zarbon and bent him into position for an axe kick, sending Zarbon face first into the dirt and angering him.

Zarbon: "ARGH! How do you sully my beauty!?"

Vegeta: "What beauty?"

An outraged yell and a drastic spike of power told Vegeta that he may have said the wrong thing as Zarbon transformed into a monsterous version of himself. This feeling was confirmed when Zarbon launched at him too quick to defend himself and kneed him in the chest hard enough to crack the chestpiece of the battlesuit he was wearing then followed up with a vicious series of headbutts leading to a savage right hook that floored the Saiyan prince. Zarbon booted the unconsious Saiyan until he heard enough crunching noises to make him happy.

Zarbon: [pant pant pant] Smug little miscreant [untransforms] forcing me to use that ugly form. You will get what's coming to you when Frieza gets to you"

Zarbon picks up the well beaten Vegeta and flys in the direction of Frieza's ship, the "Prince" would need a trip in the healing pod before being given to the Emperor. Lord Frieza should have a pristine toy to play with before he breaks it after all.

Bansuri and Goku go to where the Dragon Radar was pointing them and find a village that looks ransacked and ruined but there were no bodies and no possessions around. They figured it was a village that was evacuated and found later by the Frieza Force to their anger. But the Dragon ball was in the water? Goku and Bansuri simply shrugged, collected the Ball and flew back to Bulma to stash the Balls with her.

With the 6 Dragon Balls in hand and the 7th in Gohan's our heroes look ready to fix all the troubles that have befallen them...or are they? How will Vegeta fare after being beaten and captured? Will Frieza and Zarbon get what they want from the Saiyan Prince? Find out next time on Some Help.
