AstraelDracon: Thanks for the kind words
"Hey! Midoriya, over here!" Ochako called out as she saw the boy step off his train, she had insisted they stay in touch after the entrance exam, more so once she knew they would be in the same class.
"M-morning Uraraka." He spoke after a slight pause, smiling as they began to wander towards UA. He was dressed in a similar uniform to her, though she couldn't help but think something about his was off. Occasionally, she glimpsed a brooch clipped onto his shirt, it was formed of 9 feather like points, light green converging onto a dark green sphere in the middle.
As well as the pin, he wore a pair of simple round glasses, despite him not having any during the exam. She supposed he must have just been wearing contacts. "First day huh. Gives me butterflies. Well it can only be so bad, not like we can get expelled on the first day."
"Y-yeah..." Izuku responded, choosing to not mention the article he had read about the previous year's class.
"Bit of an intimidating door."
"I-It's probably for people with mutant quirks."
"Yeah, your right." The brown haired girl forgot the slight nervousness forming in her stomach, and flung the door open, her new friend not far behind.
Inside was a strange sight, a blond sat with his feet on a desk, a boy with mufflers in his legs scolding him for doing so. "Perhaps we should start over, I am Tenya Ilda, from Somie private acad-"
"Somie, huh, I suppose that means you think your better than me. Y-" The aggressive teen stopped as he glanced towards the door, his gaze ignored Uraraka, instead focusing on Izuku. "Deku! The hell are you doing h-"
"If you're here to squabble, leave now." A voice called suddenly, coming from behind Izuku. The man who stood at the entrance was pale-skinned, contrasting the shadows that sat beneath his eyes. He was tall and thin, though his true proportions where hidden behind his baggy clothes. His expression was unreadable as he scanned the room, though that did not mean all the students were unaware of his thoughts.
Izuku winced as a crushing headache hit him, the storm of emotion within the man so great that it caused Izuku more pain than any group of people ever had. Despite the scale of the man's emotions, it was impossible for Izuku to separate them from each other, as if they all combined to form something only this man felt.
"It took you all 8 seconds to quiet down, we don't have that kind of time. I am Shōta Aizawa, I'll be your homeroom teacher for the next three years. There are gym uniforms under every desk, change and meet me at the P.E grounds. Anyone who takes longer than 15 minutes gets detention."
After the class had scrambled to get to the changing rooms, they found themselves standing within a large field, Aizawa's eyes scanning over them. "Slow. But faster than I expected. Today, you'll be doing a serious of tests for me to gage your potential. They'll be identical to the physical tests you did in junior high, though you'll be allowed to use your quirks for this."
The class exploded into cheers, shouting about how exciting it was. They were interrupted however, by the stare that sent shivers down their spines: "Fun huh. Alright how about this, whoever comes last in these tests will be judged to have no potential, and will be expelled."
"That's not fair! It's our first day." Uraraka spoke up, causing the black haired man to shift his glare to her.
"Natural disasters, villain attacks, horrible diseases. Life's not fair, but it's your job to overcome that unfairness. So if you have what it takes to be a hero, then fairness shouldn't be what you're concerned about. So..." His mouth split into a grin that did not suit him: "Go beyond, plus ultra."
Another wave of shivers went down the students' spines as the man spoke, his tone mixing the UA motto with what seemed to be a threat.
"Midoriya." Izuku's hairs stood on end. "You placed first in the entrance exam." A loud shout came from the back of the group, though it was ignored entirely by Aizawa. "Step into the circle and throw this ball. I don't care how you do it, as long as you remain within the area."
Catching the ball that his new teacher threw him, Izuku stepped into the circle, adjusted the glasses upon his face, and activated his new power: "Kaalki, Full Gallop!" A wave of light green energy passed over Izuku, as it did, his previous clothes were replaced by a new outfit, bearing a resemblance to the one granted to him by the Peacock.
A pair of opaque glasses hid his eyes from view, but they didn't seem to obstruct his sight. The majority of the suit he wore was dark brown, though some lighter lines ran up his body. The gloves upon his hands were shorter than previously, white leather ending at his wrists, embedded with a symbol of a horse. The most major change to his normal appearance was his hair, that was now tied within a ponytail.
Throwing the ball through the air, Izuku focused on its path, then with a shout of: "Voyage!" A portal opened before the ball, a wave of air pushing into the portal, the ball quickly following. As soon as the sphere had passed the boundaries, the portal closed, preventing the rush of air from continuing.
A few moments passed, before Aizawa's device beeped, a message displayed on the screen: "384400KM"
"What the hell! How did you do that you-" Katsuki Bakugou charged towards Izuku, though was stopped as a white cloth wrapped around him, its origin Aizawa's scarf. "The hell! Why can't I use my quirk."
His answer was given by the teacher's glowing red eyes, and the yellow goggles that had been hidden beneath his scarf. "Stop making me use my quirk, it gives me terrible dry eye. Attempt to attack a fellow classmate again, and I'll have you black-listed from every hero school in the country. Is that understood?"
Bakugou opened his mouth to retort, but thought better of whatever he was going to say, and ceased his resistance. As he did, Izuku continued to look at him, a still recent memory stirring within his mind:
"You, a hero? Your pathetic Deku! If you want to be a hero so bad, how about you take a swan dive off the roof and pray for a quirk in your next life!"
The class stood around Aizawa, having just finished the sequence of tests. Izuku had managed to get a few interesting notes, the one that caught his attention most being Uraraka's score of infinity on the ball throw. "Alright, it's no use going through these one at a time, so here are your scores."
A hologram projected from Aizawa's phone, on which was displayed the student's score. Izuku scanned down the list, but did not find his name, that was, until he glanced to the top of the list:
1. Izuku Midoriya
"Oh, and by the way, I wasn't serious about expelling you, it was a logical ruse to get you to do your best." The class exploded into a cacophony of comments about the trick, but were silenced by Aizawa's glare. "You're dismissed, pick up a syllabus from the classroom before you leave. Oh, and Midoriya, stay behind."
The class tiredly stumbled towards the changing rooms, some tried to hang back to catch what Aizawa wanted to say, but a single stare sent them away. The black haired man's eyes stared into Izuku's soul, seemingly trying to learn what he wanted without saying a word.
"You're hopelessly irrational, you refuse to create anything more than an object when using the Peacock. That should be enough for me to expel you here and now, but there's something more under your foolish use of the Miraculous. You've still managed to effectively use the Peacock, and you have great experience with the horse, despite not having it for long."
The man paused his analysis, gaging his student's response, before continuing: "I want you to figure out your issue with conscious Senti-monsters before the sports festival. If you don't, I'll take things into my own hands."
"I understand, sir, but-"
"I recognise your feelings Midoriya, but that doesn't make them rational. A friend of mine died because I refused to use that power, I won't let you make the same mistake. You're dismissed."
Izuku bid the man a good day, and walked off to the changing rooms, the new knowledge of his predecessor weighing on his mind.
By the time Izuku reached the gates of UA, he had expected everyone to have left, but to his surprise, two people were waiting for him. The first was Uraraka, which in hindsight he should have expected, along with a blue haired boy, the one who was arguing with Bakugou.
"Ah, there you are Midoriya." The boy approached Izuku, a serious expression upon his face. "I was first waiting to scold you for whatever you had done to get Mr Aizawa's attention, however Uraraka informed me that she does not believe you to be the kind of person to do such a thing. As such, I'd like to apologise for my presumption."
"I-it's fine, really."
"Thank you, perhaps we should start over. I am Tenya Ilda from Somei private academy, nice to meet you." Ilda stiffly extended his hand, which Izuku took.
The green haired boy's attention was taken away from Tenya as a quiet giggling came from behind the taller boy. "I swear, he's so serious. Lighten up Ilda."
"My apologies, do you have any advice that I could use to 'lighten up'?"
"It's just a figure of speech." Izuku interjected before Uraraka could further torment the boy, much to the girl's annoyance. "We should probably get moving, the trains have been on and off a lot recently."
"Most wise Midoriya, it would be terrible for us if we were to be unable to make it home." Izuku smiled slightly as Uraraka attempted to not laugh at their newest friend, maybe this would be different then his previous school years.
"I can't. Duusu feathers fall." A thump echoed through the small room as Izuku's head met the desk, the two Kwamis next to him gazing upon him with worry. Izuku was distracted from his failure as he felt a small form attempt to wrap its arms around him.
"You'll get it soon enough, Izuku. You have until the sports festival." Duusu calmed himself as his owner's emotions flooded the room, but quelled as the Kwami continued to hug him.
"It takes everyone time to become great. Even I was not always such a noble stead, if you can believe that." Kaalki spoke up, hovering next to Duusu, though not engaging in his companion's hug.
The three's moment of quiet was interrupted by a buzzing, originating from Izuku's phone. The teen grabbed the device, reading the message, then going catatonic. "Uh, is he alright?"
"Izuku. Izuku! Duusu to Izuku!"
It took the creature slamming full force into Izuku's head before he snapped out of his trance, shouting in surprise: "ALL MIGHT WANTS TO TALK TO ME!"
While he had already seen the form, Izuku was still startled by the skinny man who was behind the symbol of peace. He had asked to meet Izuku upon Dagobah Municipal Beach, though now it was less beach and more tip. The hero's form was transformed into a silhouette by the sunset, as he turned to face Izuku.
"Ah, young Midoriya! Glad you could make it."
"O-of course, I-I wouldn't want to be late to a meeting with y-you."
The man boomed with laughter, despite how he seemed in pain when doing so. "No need to be so nervous. I simply wanted to chat- well, perhaps that's a slight oversimplification." He turned back to the ocean, holding the Miraculous he wielded up to the light. With the shine of the sun, Izuku caught a glimpse of the Panjas' disguised form. The bottom was a bracelet, the American flag painted upon it. A chain extended from the flag to a ring of similar design, though this one contained the Japanese flag.
"When you talked to Nezu for the second time, what was your answer to his question."
"That a hero is someone who helps others."
"Indeed, a truthful statement, but be honest Midoriya, how much of that do you think is about helping people physically."
"Well... most modern heroes don't help people mentally."
"Exactly. But that misses a major part of being a hero, the part that makes me the symbol of peace. To quote my master: 'A true hero saves not only lives, but also hearts.' That is what I believe it means to be a hero, and that is the power I offer you, the power to smash through people's pain, and save them from within. The power to save people's hearts, my power... One for All."
"Wait... your power?"
"Yes, my power is not originally my own, it was passed down to me by my master, and now I offer it to you."
"You want me to inherit your quirk? How does that even work? Does it have any backlash? What will happen to your powers? If..."
"Uh Midoriya." The boy continued his muttering. "Midoriya! MIDORIYA!"
"Ah, s-sorry."
"It's fine I understand how this could be overwhelming, it was to me as well. If you do except, it may be a while until your body is ready to receive the energy in my quirk. I estimate somewhere around the end of this term, though that's a very rough guess."
"Alright. Then if you think I'm the right person. I'll inherit your power."
"Wonderful! Now, we should sort out your training plan!"
A few hours early, a blue circular portal had opened, firing a softball into the depths of space. Gravity carried it to the nearest body, its reinforced structure hitting and slightly bouncing from the moon's surface. It came to a stop however, when it bumped into an iron crate, upon the top, the letters UA were engraved. Deep within the large box, a small pair of objects lay, their magic eternally giving off an ethereal red light.
