(A/N): Hey Guys! So, I wrote a few new chapters while I was at school today. That's right, after two whole weeks away, I went back to school. So, I have to warn you, there is literally three whole pages of smut coming up in one of the next few chapters, and more after that. There is a reason for the smut.
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the right to write smut and kill of characters whenever I want.
Leo
When I woke up, the first thing I noticed was the smell.
For a split second, the scent of bleach that burnt my nostrils set fear jolting through my veins, thinking that my mother was near, but slowly, voices faded in.
Nothing important, just general mumbles throughout the building reaching my ears, but it was definitely reassuring.
And then, with a slight tingle, the feeling seemed to return to my body.
I swallowed thickly, tongue dry and spongy, prying open my grit-filled eyes as the rest of me started to sting.
And itch.
If I was itchy and in pain, it meant I was alive- Elaine must have been able to stop Remus from killing me, somehow, some way. I was glad that she hadn't had to watch me die, and that Remus hadn't been forced to be the one to kill me, but in the back of my mind I worried that the reason I was alive was because the wolf had gotten bored of me.
The last thing I had seen before I had lost consciousness was the two wolves fighting- what if Remus' wolf had taken down Elaine's? What if while Elaine had been saving me- and I had no doubt it was Elaine who had saved me, I just didn't yet know how- Remus had managed to get past her, and ravaged the village?
"Hey buddy..." A voice said from the end of my bed, and my head snapped up to look at them.
As my eyes met my fathers, his eyes flew to my neck, and with slow, careful movements, I brought my hand up to touch it.
Pulling my hand away, I saw blood slicking the tips of my fingers, and my father frowned.
"I don't want you going out there with him again." He said quietly, and I gaped at him.
"But-" He cut me off with a pointed glare.
"No, Leonides." There was a second of silence here. "I didn't raise you to be reckless and stupid." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"To be fair, you didn't raise me at all." He froze, and I instantly regretted saying it, but didn't let it show. It may have been true, but that didn't mean I should have said it.
"You're right. You're exactly like your mother." And with the flatness in his voice, I honestly believed he thought that.
He left after that and a healer entered the room.
"Do you know what happened?" She inquired, bent over me to check my bandages, and I bit my lip.
"Not really. I was in the Forbidden Forest..." I trailed off, and she flashed me a weak smile.
"It looks like a werewolf attack." I pretended to think for a second.
"That does make sense. Werewolves do have an uncontrollable urge to hunt vampires, don't they?" She paused for a second.
"Right..." She trailed off, and I shrugged, wincing as pain lanced through my shoulder.
"Then again, it could have been a normal wolf." She locked eyes with me, hesitating for a second before nodding. She knew it wasn't a regular wolf. Werewolf claws had a... particular effect on vampires, and even if it hadn't been marked in my- thankfully private- chart for years what I was, they would have known by the way my body was reacting to this.
"I suppose a larger wolf could have done this, yes." She was going to let me lie about it, even if she clearly didn't believe me. She dabbed at the blood on my neck with the sleeve of her lime green uniform, and the stain disappeared almost instantly.
Like magic.
"How did you get out of the forest?" I winced, as if remembering a painful memory, even though I had no clue how I had gotten out.
"I must've managed to drag myself to the edge of the forest for someone to find me."
Elaine must have been the one to get me out of there, there was no one else that could have done it- which meant she had stayed alive at least long enough to do that. If Elaine was hurt badly enough to be in the hospital alongside me, they would tell me, wouldn't they?
Probably not, but I'd like to think my father would have mentioned it- most likely just to scold me further, but at least I would have known whether she was okay or not. And how exactly she was plotting my murder for being stupid enough to change back in order to distract Remus.
"You're very lucky someone did. Much longer, and you would've bled out." I nodded weakly.
"You'd be surprised how often I get called that." She raised an eyebrow and I clarified. "Lucky."
"It isn't luck?" She asked, and I smiled, shaking my head.
"More of a talent, really."
(A/N): Oooh, Leo and Nicholai had a fight, how sad. :P
And I haven't killed Leo off!
...
Yet.

This chapter has had substantial edits made to it on 30/12/22 - To better match the changes I made to the last chapter where Leo changed back on purpose in order to distract Remus.
