CH 14
"tim" Elle said.
"Elle remember our wedding night when we made love for the first time" tim said. Elle thought about it and laugh
"Oh yeah"
"what's so funny about that" Pat asked.
"Pat that night when we were in the lobby getting our key and order champagne and strawberries. Tim said to the manager with a couple staff close by…"
"It our wedding night and we are going to make the earth move" tim said laughing
"Well when we were making love for the first time there was an earthquake while we were doing it and the rocking motion of us was also happening to the bed at the same time" Elle said
"Afterwards the bed was still rocking then we notice other things were rocking and relies it was an earthquake," Tim said.
"So when you told the manager you going to make the earth move you sure make it move" PJ said grinning
"OH yeah, the next morning when I went to pay the bill there were others at the reception desk i ask him if he felt the earthquake from the night before, he said yes, was everything ok last night he asked" tim said laughing
"oh yeah when I said we were going to make the earth move we didn't realise it was going to happen when my husband and I were making love, what a shaker that was" Elle said
"Everyone look at us in shocked as we walk out with arms around each other and grinning" Tim said
"that was one night we will never forget" Elle said.
"You better not tell Nick that one" Maggie said
"Yeah, knowing him he might come out with some smart remark about it, but if he does i'll say to him did you and your wife make the earth move on your wedding night but i don't think i'll say that to him" elle said looking down at her plate
"Why not elle" tim asked. She looks up to Tim
"Nick lost his wife and only child a few years ago in a car accident Tim, he was first on the seen" Tim was shocked
"that is teariable"
"It is for any family," Tom said.
"So Tim what have you been doing in the past three and half years" Pat asked
"working in building company, giving ideas and learning as well. It reminds me of our company" he said looking at Elle who smile at him.
"Do your boss know who you are?"
"Yes when they feds showed up. He was shocked and said I was a bloody great worker and the advice he was wondering how I know so much about house and building till i told him our company name, He heard of cole and family but didn't know I was the shared owner of the business"
"does he know why your in witness protection programme" tom asked
"Yes, he said I was very lucky to be alive and I agree"
They all talk and laugh about different things for the next few hours before they all left since they got court in the morning.
After they left and every thing clean up Tim held onto Elle and and pulled her with him into there bedroom after the lights were turned off. They look at each other and he cup her face.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time Elle"
"Same here Tim" they kiss then removed each others clothes then Tim lay Elle onto the over turn bed where they made slow passionate love that they miss and crave for, for a long time.
Afterwards Elle snuggled up to Tim side with just a sheet over them. "That reminds me of our wedding night without the earthquake" tim said making Elle laugh as she looked at him.
"Yes it did" then she kiss him "I love you tim"
"i love you Elle, it good to be home"
"Yes it is" they kissed once more before she snuggled up to his side as he held her in his arms as they fell into peaceful sleep.
The next day Tim went with the feds so he could get change since he was wearing yesterday clothes. When the court case begin it was for Peter Cole and Claire Thomson that was happening in two different courtrooms as well one for Ken forbe case. It took three days for the cases to be heard and all three were found guilty and sent to prison for the crimes they did.
Glenn Richie already agree to a plea deal so he didn't have to go to trail but he still had to appear as a witness in Ken drink driving case. When it was over and everyone left the courtroom the media was outside waiting for them. Tim and Elle heard what Tim grandfather said how he defended his own son.
Then he turn to Tim and elle who was holding hands. "You should of listen to me Tim, i told you she no good" Tim and Elle step ford
"Your wrong grand dad, she has done much more than I would ever though or even dream of"
"Rubbish"
"We got business in Melbourne, Bendigo, St Davids and Mount thomas Mr Cole, we are building homes, stores, business and even doing up old homes that have been up for sale and left to rot. I have been doing what Tim and i plan on doing years ago. Plus most of the homes are rented out, same with the old building that is not safe, I buy them pull them down and rebuild them the same as they were before. We own gyms in Bendigo, St davids and mount thomas and we been contracted to rebuild widgery police station and the police house. Plus building apartment buildings in Bendigo and mount thomas" He look at Elle
"You done all of that in three years"
"Yes plus i also got a team of five artcticst and contractors with aluminum windows firms in Melbourne here. Plus our business is a sponsor to Rugby in mouth thomas and for four scholarships in Tim name."
"when I disappear our business was worth over half a million dollars, now it worth over two hundred million dollars. And I'm proud of my wife for what she has done, she employed people including apprentices. Elle created jobs granddad and unlike you she got strict rules which all the staff agree to those rules"
"What rules are they mr cole" one reporter asked
"When interviewed the person sign an agreement form stating that they give me there approval to have a background check and if it comes up clear or they did something like drink driving, if they get the job i won't let them drive any of the company vehicles for a year, if it to do with drugs, I won't hire them"
"Why is that" another reporter asked
"Cause i'm putting safety first, it like with drink driving, but in this case handling machinery while taking drugs can be accidents waiting to happen. Plus that other things also with the staff, that there a drug test that they have to do, they don't know when it going to happen and if anyone test came back positive they get one written warning and get tested again a month later if it comes back positive they fired. That would be in there contract that they sign. Plus if they got any health problems the site manager got to know about it and any medication that they are on, so there is a record of it just in case there is an accident and the paramedics would want to know so it can be passed on to the hospital staff" Elle said
"don't you think it is harsh" Mr Cole said
"You might think that, but don't i care about my staff and safety is very important. When i was working with you, there was six to seven accidents that happen a year. Four of them were caused by drugs, the other two was cause of a medical condition that they had for a while. For example one of the builders was on the third story of a building with another builder when he had a elpic fit and fell to his death. He shouldn't of been up there in the first place plus both men didn't have safety harness on. If they did, then the builder would still be alive today. That's what I'm talking about. Safety comes before proffit Mr Cole" then she turned to Tim who smile at her then kiss her
"Let's go home"
"Why not" then he turned to his grandfather
"I agree with Elle, she not like you and the rest of the family. She cares about the staff lives and their safety, goodbye grandad dad" Then he and Elle walk away.
The next morning Tim and Elle went to see superatent adams and inspector faulkner. After the introductions, Elle showed them three different rough prints of the new station and house. Tim watch and listen to her talk, and what her ideas are plus pictures of what bricks and windows are going to be used and the reason why those bricks are the best.
"Elle, why two cells" Adams asked
"It only temporary till someone from st davids show up with the van, there no way one copper can keep an eye on his prisoner and write up his report and make phone calls and it a good place to put a drunk in for the night"
"You got a good point Elle" they talk some more and pick one of the designs which made Elle happy.
"This one here would be idea for Stevenson, what do you think ted" Adams asked
"I agree"
"Stevenson that half an hour drive out of bendigo" tim said
"Yes it is, the station and house it needs work done to it and this would be the best. Question is would you accept the contact to rebuild it" Adams asked. Tim and Elle look at each other and smile
"Yes" tim said
"Yes we can do it, you sort out the contacts and we sort out the prices"
"that great" they shook hands. They talk a bit more before Elle and Tim left and headed to the office while talking.
When Tim walk into the two story office building, he follow elle upstairs and down to the room where the artcerticts are. Elle introduce tim to all of them then she talks to two of architects and handed them both files, which they open and look at what elle ruffle draw up and notes with it.
After talking to them Elle showed Tim around and introduce him to some of the other staff before leaving to one of the building sites. They spent over three hours going from one site to the next as well her showing him what some of the houses been done up before they headed back to the penthouse where Elle pack some of her clothes since she left some of them there just incase she had to come down for any emergency and don't have time to pack. Tim notice that she keeps all of his clothes, so he packed most of them then they left to drive to mount thomas. They talk all the way back home.
"Elle is there something going on between PJ and Maggie" elle grin
"Oh yes, but don't tell anyone, not even tom about it"
"Why that, surely he would like to see them happy"
"Yes but office romance, it could interfere with their work that is why they are keeping it a secret and if Tom finds out he would transfurred one of them"
"Ok, and Pat"
"no"
"Ok so tell me about Wayne and Nick" Elle grin.
"I'll start by telling you how maggie and PJ met and dinner that night"
"dinner, this is going to be very interesting"
"Oh it will be and very funny"
"Oh I'm all ears" Elle tells Tim about how Maggie and PJ met and how she met Maggie and the dinner with PJ and Nick. then she started laughing when she told him about the drinks.
"It took him ten glasses later to realize that Maggie was sculling water and not volka, so he made Chris pour a triple shot. So when Maggie return from the ladies room. She went to skull the drink to relies is wasn't water and spray it all over PJ" Tim laugh
"That would've been worth seeing"
"It was priceless and maggie said to PJ I was making my own fun"
"Remind me not to give her a triple shot or I might wear it as well"
"After that I knew she going to fit in well and she has"
"that good" When they enter mount thomas, Elle drove home.
When she turn down the driveway Tim was shocked at the size of the house "how old is this house"
"Take a guess"
"I think it about over one hundred and twenty years old" Elle giggle just as the garage door open and she drove into the garage
"No it just over two years old"
"your joking"
"Nope, I design it and had it built after I found out that I was pregnant with triplets"
"Incredible" They got out and got there bags and walked to the back of the house.
Tim could see how big the section is and could see the swimming pool, the clothesline, the large sand pit and swing, slide and seesaw for the kids and home made tree house. Tim follow Elle into the house as he look around
"Wow" tim said as he follow her up stairs to there bedroom. He was blown away with the size of it, every thing.
"This is incredible"
"thanks" they unpack there clothing, She showed him the walk in closet and where all her things are. He put his stuff away including toiletries when he saw the bathroom. When everything is done, she showed him the laundry shoot when she put her things down it then he did. She showed him the kids bedroom and the rest of the house. He was shocked by the size of it but what stopped him was a photo of the triplets
"My gosh, is that them?"
"Yes it is"
"Beautiful i love them" Elle step ford and wrap her arms around his waist just as he turned to her "You done an amazing job" then he kissed her
"I did have help"
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to meeting them"
"I'm sure you are. So what do you want to do now"
"Shopping" elle laugh
"Why not" They left the house to go shopping and have afternoon tea at one of the cafes in town.
When they return home Elle sorted out the new clothes and put a load through the washing machine then she got photo albums out and show Tim them. There were four of them. One is of each of the kids and the fourth family album including her pregnancy. Tim look through them looking at each of the photos.
"I can't believe how much I miss out on"
"It was hard for me also, wishing you were here to experience it also" he closed the album and put it on the table then turn to Elle and putting his hand into her while looking at her.
"I'm looking forward to seeing them grow up"
"Same here. Why don't we go and pick them up ourselves"
"Why not" he said smiling. Then leaned over and kissed her.
They left few minutes later to go to Nel place to pick up the car seats and for Nel to met Tim in person she she following the news reports about what happen to him. Then Elle and Tim went to pick the kids up from day care centre.
Tim stay in the car while Elle went to pick them up. Tim watch them walk out the door with Elle behind them. They walk to the car when they saw Tim in the passenger seat. Elle open the boot to put there bags into it, then closed it.
Then she opened the back door and pick each of the kids up and put them into their car seats and made sure that they are strapped in while talking to them. Then she closed the door and walked around and got into the driver's seat closing the door.
"What do you normally do on friday night" tim asked. She reaches over and held on to his hand.
"Remember when you were in Melbourne and I was here, we talk about if and when we have kids"
"Yes"
"Remember the agreement for tuesday and friday night" Tim thought about it
"you will have to refresh my memory"
"friday night family night out to a restaurant or take away place like Mcdonalds" Tim thought about it and smile
"Yes and tuesday night date night, just you and me"
"Yes, i got a babysitter who does tuesday nights while i go out to dinner with friends"
"I'm pleased you have done what you did Elle"
"Same here"
"where are we going" Tim asked when he noticed that they weren't going home
"to the pub for dinner"
"OK do the kids go"
"Yes they do"
