That night Tim took Elle to the imperial for dinner and drink. When Chris saw them she grin as she walked over to them
"I heard congratulations are in order for mother to be"
"Who told you" Elle asked
"Adam did so it it true"
"eight weeks" Tim said grinning
"Well you look after her, you hear me"
"Yes ma'am"
"so what will it be tonight"
"Beer for me thanks Chris"
"ginger beer for me" elle said
"Ok i'll bring it to your table" they walk around and sat down at a table that got two chairs.
They talk a for couple of minutes when Chris showed up with their drinks and menu then she left them alone. They enjoyed their dinner and drinks, They stay and talk to the others for an hour before going home since Elle was starting to feel tired.
Month later Elle and Tim was at the hospital. They both were looking forward to seeing their baby together for the first time. Elle had already started wearing maternity clothes since she was showing already. When Dr Green used the wand over Elle lower stomach, she checks to see if everything is ok. She took some pictures and measurements.
"Is everything OK" tim asked
"Yes, everything looks good, but as you notice Elle that your showing"
"Yes is it multi birth"
"Yes, congraduation, it twins" she turn the screen around and they saw the twins
"Oh my gosh, wow that is amazing" tim said
"Yes it is and from what i can see there are two placentas, so they are not identical" Doctor said
"This is an amazing" tim said looking at the screen then to Elle and giving her a kiss then look back at the screen.
Half an hour later they walk out of the hospital when PJ and Maggie arrive cause of a case. "Hey there Elle and Tim" PJ said
"She did have a hospital appointment"
"True" they watch Tim open the door for Elle, She gets in and he closes it and walk around and got in himself then he leaned over and kissed her before putting their seat belt on before driving away.
"Now that what i call a gentleman who takes care of his pregnant wife" Maggie said
"You never know mags" they turn to each other "that might be us one day"
"you being a gentleman"
"yes" he look around the car park, then turn to Maggie and lean over and kiss her
"come on we got work to do" Maggie said giving him a quick kiss before getting out of the car
"spoil spot" he said as he got out and follow her into the hospital.
Two weeks later the town went in to shocked and morning when Nel died in a car accident and Susan was injured and five drunk teenagers was also killed in the crash. Elle was there for Tom when she learns about what happen.
She was able to contact Anna "Hello"
"Hi is Anna Croydan there please"
"Do you relies it two o'clock in the morning"
"I know I need to talk to her it family emergency. It Elle Cole from mount thomas"
"Oh god has something happen to mum to dad"
"Anna"
"Yes it me" she said since she wide awake
"ann you need to return emedley, it your mum and sister they been in a car accident"
"No" Elle could hear Anna crying.
"Anna can you make it back"
"I got no money"
"Have you got a passport"
"Yes"
"Great leave everything to me, you get to the airport and pick up your tickets from there"
"Ok, i got a boyfriend with me, he also austrlian"
"Can he get back or not"
"No, we are both working to save up"
"ok what his name"
"Brett Allott"
"Ok, i'll sort it out, you wake up your boyfriend and pack your bags and get to the airport"
"sure, how dad"
"He will be happy to see you, he needs you now more than ever"
"Ok we on our way, thanks for calling"
"Your welcome Anna" then they hung up.
Elle then make some calls and get everything sorted out. Inspector Fakner showed up to take over while Tom was on leave. Elle filled him in on what had happened so far and where everyone is.
"You done a great job despite what happens, how are you doing?"
"I haven't had a chance to stop to think about it, but it's going to hit the kids hard, but they are young, it will take time with them"
"what about Tom oldest daughter"
"anna, she on her way home, she will be in Melbourne tomorrow. Pat doyle, Maggie dad going to pick her and her boyfriend up from the airport and drive them here. He offered to do it and he knows about bad it is and not to tell Anna, that would be Tom job"
"Has funeral arrangements been done yet"
"tomorrow after the altopic done on Ne since she was the driver"
"right, so Tom at home?"
"no the hospital cause of Susan"
"Ok" they talk for a few minutes before Elle return to her desk to answer the phone just as the media walk through the door so she ask them to leave.
"Shut up" she said yelling at them
"Now if you want to know what going on Inspector Falkner going to give a press statement soon as he got all the fax and information, so for now please leave the station"
"when would that be"
"I'll post a notice on the notice board outside soon as i can so for now please leave, that you to Tony" elle said. They all left the station. Elle let out her breath and turn to Ted Falkner who was in the doorway
"You done good"
"thanks, they will be waiting outside all day so cup of tea"
"Yes please" Elle went and made them both a drink and took Falkner his drink and a sheet of paper
"what this"
"the day of the furnal, we are going to need some relief offices for the day. It has already been type up and just need your signature and i can send it to st davids. So they can sort out who they going to send on the day"
"you sure got everything sorted out" he read what was written and sign it then pass it back to her.
"It not the first police furnal i help sorted out"
"True" Elle walk out of the office and went to send the fax to st davids then she return back to work.
That night when she got home Tim smile at her "Hey how was…" he saw the look on her face his smile drop
"Elle what wrong"
"It's Nel Croydon…. She dead Tim, she was in a car accident this morning"
"What" he said in shocked as he pulled her into his arms
"My god, i heard about the accident on the news and that six people were dead and one serous injuries"
"susan was with Nel, she alive but in a coma"
"Oh my…. And the other car" she pulled back
"five teenagers Tim, they were sixteen, seventeen year old high school students, they were drunk, there blood alcohol reading was high, they were four times over the limit and the driver was a P plate"
"Oh no how Tom handling all of this"
"Well as can be expected. Nel was driving when the accident happened?"
"So the kids caused the accident?"
"Don't know, it might be Nel at fault"
"what, she has always been a careful driver"
"the altopic reported she had a massive heart attack and would of died instant behind the wheel"
"My gosh, she so fit and healthy"
"I know but it can happen to anyone at any time. According to the report it was a weak valve burst which cause the heart attack"

"How are you coping with all of this"
"the shocked starting to set it but i got to hold it together"

"kids Tim, we will have to tell them"
"Ok let's do now"
"OK" they walk into the living room where the kids are.
Tim and Elle told them that Nel had died, they explain it the best they could. The kids where up set and both Tim and Elle hug them. That night after the kids were in bed, Tim walk into the living room and sat down next to elle putting his arm around her shoulders, she turns to him and hug him as she burst out crying once again. Tim held onto her as he cried as well.
The next morning, Tim, Elle and their kids went around to Tom house with flowers that Elle pick up at the florist on behalf of the team. When Elle knock on the door they waited till Tom open the door
"Morning Tom"
"elle this is a surprise, I thought you would be at work by now"
"someone wants to give you a hug"
"Who" then he turned to see Tim and the kids. "Come in side" they walk in side and into the living room.
"Ah here from the team and us" she pass him the bouquet of flowers
"thank you" He put them on the table then he turned to elle, She saw tears welling up so she step ford and hug him as he cried. Tim step ford and rub Tom back.
"I can't believe she gone"
"I know, it shocked us as well," Elle said. They were like that for a few minutes, when they parted they sat down then the kids went and hugged him
"don't worry grandpa, grandma not hurting any more" victoria said when she hugged him
"I know" Tim and elle watch their kids talk to Tom and they manage to cheer him up. They stayed for half an hour before leaving.
"Thanks for dropping by"
"Your welcome, if you run out of room for your family, Chris said that they can stay at the pub"
"thanks Elle"
"If you need any thing you know where i am"
"I got funeral arrangements to sort out, I've been trying to contact Anna"
"tom the funeral already taken care of, all you have to do is sign some papers, everything else was already taken care of"
"elle it my job, not yours"
"tom Nel sorted out every thing three years ago, she choice her coffin, what flowers going on it, songs every thing so it would be less of a burden on you."
"she did all of that why"
"Remember her cancer scare"
"yeah, i understand, she a smart woman"
"yes i know. She loved you so much tom and she was trying it make things easier for you"

"what about Anna"
"Don't worry, everything taken care of, the only thing you have to worry about is where everyone going to sleep and food for the next few days"

"no worries" then they left Tom place with the kids waving goodbye.
