AN: Sorry for haven't posting in the past couple of weeks. I've been very i'll and been rush in to hospital where i spent a week in battling an infection. I am home now taking antibodics to make sure the bug dosn't return.
CH 29
On monday morning Everyone showed up for work except for Maggie and PJ since they gone away for a month honeymoon. They spending three weeks in Lebanon since most of the family couldn't make it to the wedding then spending a week up in Cairns.
They got a temporary detective in from Melbourne for the month and he staying at the imperial for that time. Elle notice the way he was flirting with her from day one and the way Dash was looking at him.
"Dash one piece of advice, don't bother going after him"
"Why not he cute"
"He a heartbreaker, i've seen his kind before trust me"
"what do you mean"
"He will love you then leave you, in other words the only thing us women is good for is a one night stand, once he gets what he wants from you, he will dump you like a ton of bricks"
"He not that type of guy"
"Oh yes he is. I've seen it many times."
On friday night everyone was leaving for the pub. "Elle going to join us for a drink" the detective said
"I'll be at the pub" she said smiling
"Great" he said smiling as he walked out of the station.
Nick walked over to her "You going to shoot him down tonight"
"Sure am how did he make detective i'll never know"
"Why do you say that"
"He wasn't interesting in my left hand"
"good point"
Hour later the detective who was drinking with Adam, Tom, Nick and Dash when they saw the triplets run in and over to them. "Woo you three, you gotta learn to slow down or someone will get hurt"
"sorry grandpa" that shocked the detetive.
"So how was school"
"It was good" TJ said
"that great"
"hi guys"
"tim how work been" Nick asked as he took Charlie out of his hands and put him on his lap and Connor went to Tom.
"busy but good news is PJ and Maggie house would be complete three days before they are due back from there honeymoon"
"that great news" Dash said
"Yes it is. So same again for you all"
"Yes thanks. Detective Jack Smith, Tim cole"
"hi" Tim said shaking his hand
"Hi it nice to meet you"
"where" Dash asked
"she will be here in a minute" then he walked up to the counter to make the order while talking to chris.
he turn around and smile. "Hey Jack" he call out
"Yeah"
"Stop flirting with married women while your here, we don't want your sort in this town trying to ruin marriages and break women's hearts by loving and leaving them and keep your crabs and virus to your self we don't want them here" Everyone stop talking and look at Tim in shocked
"tim this isn't the place" tom said
"It ok tom it a friendly warning"
"what are you talking about" Jack asked
"He talking about Elle his wife detetive. Your lucky she didn't tell you where to get off. Yeah mate Adam and I have seen the way you been flirting with her, i warn you but you never listen" Nick said then Elle walk in and around the bar
"Everything ok here."
"I gave the detetive friendly advice hon" she kiss him
"You know i can take care of myself"
"I know"
"Here you go Tim"
"thanks chris" he picked up the tray and walked over and put it on the table then he sat down with Elle next to him.
"Within the hour the whole town will know what sort of man you are…. Jack" elle said
"you been shot down mate" Adam said
"You don't know what your talking about"
"Tim and I have seen it all before" She said when she took a sip of her drink.
Three days later when Jack and Dash return Elle notice the look on her face "What happen"
"Jack is unbelievable, he was fluting with a married woman and I overheard them, she invited him around to her place tonight while husband is in Melbourne"
"Realy, what her details" Dash show her the notes she wrote down. Then she picked up the phone and made the call while smiling at Dash
"Hello Jean Brown… hi you don't know me but i call to warn you and other women about Jack smith, the copper that here while PJ hasham is on his honeymoon… well from what i've been told he loves you and leave them type of guy and I don't think his wife knows… yeah well she due to drop at the end of next month and rumors going round that he got hipatist" Dash cover her mouth while trying not to laugh. Nick and Adam where grinning
"Oh that not the worse… he has been to the doctors because he caught crabs from a women in Melbourne… it can be nasty it spread around… yeah, have you noticed the way he moving around and not standing still… yeah it cause he wants to scratch his balls" Dash was going bright red "How do i know i've seen him scratch himself… yes you should warn the others, plus you don't know where else his hand have been… your welcome warn your friends about him… how do i know this. Ask anyone who was that the imperial last friday night. One guy had words with him because he was flirting with the guys wife… I'm not joking… ok… your welcome" then she hung up just as Dash, Adam and Nick burst out laughing
"do you think it will work" Adam asked
"Yes cause Jean Brown is in the women's group, I remember meeting her a couple of times when Neil was alive. Plus she would be ringing Chris about last friday night" she said grinning
"Mum is on that group" Dash said
"Better give her a call" Dash called her mum and told her everything about Jack knowing what sort of women she is like when it comes to town gossip.
"Elle who idea was it that Jack got hipatist and crabs"
"We were talking about it at home while we were having chilli crab for dinner on Thursday night while kids were in bed"
"Let hope it doesn't come back and bite you in the ass" Nick said grinning
"Na it won't, not with Jack reparation, any way we don't know how many women he sleeps with since he has been here"
"that true, he one smooth talker" Adam said.
"I've just spoken to mum she already heard about what happen last friday night so she knows about the crabs but not the hypertist and that he a womaniser"
"looks like the next three weeks going to be very interesting" Nick said
"True"
the next night Elle and Tim was in the imperial enjoying dinner alone when Chris walk over to them with the bottle of wine
"Here we go"
"thanks Chris" tim said
"I thought you would like to know Jack try to hit on a couple of women and they turn him down flat"
"He didn't take it well" tim said
"nope it seams what happen last friday got around"
"Well it serves him right" Elle said
"enjoy your evening"
"We will thanks" Chris return back to the bar.
"He reminds me of PJ but PJ wasn't that desperate. But that all change when he met maggie and that all change from day one. Even though he was crankly for a while till she move into her house and PJ became a different person" Elle said
"Really i didn't know that"
"now you know" when they finish dinner they walk around to the bar where a women walk away from Jack.
"Losing your touch Jack" elle said. He turned to her
"no, she got other plans"
"she shot you down. She must of heard about what happen last friday." Elle said.
"Have a good night Jack i'm going to take my wife home and make the earth move tonight"
"At least I'm not going to bed alone tonight, come on hon, i'm in a bossy mood tonight"
"Oh i love it when you get in that mood, it such a turn on, i hope we don't wake the kids up" elle wink to Chris, as she and Tim walk out of the pub.
"Hard to believe they have been married for almost eight years and they act like newlyweds" Chris said as she walked over to serve a customer.
The next morning when Jack walks into the station he heard "How were you diner last night" Dash asked
"It was great and to end the evening was awesome"
"why what happen"
"We made the earth moved last night just like our wedding night without the earthquakes and waking up the kids" Elle said smiling Dash laugh
"I hope to find a guy like tim. You are one lucky women elle"
"Thanks, one day you will find someone who will love you for you and rock your world" Dash laugh
"that would be great" then they walk around the corner with coffee cup in hand
"Morning Jack late night last night" Elle said
"No the couple next door was banging on the wall"
"your in room seven right" Elle asked
"Yes why"
"Ah the room next to yours is the honeymoon suit and that what honeymoon is all about" elle said as she and Dash walk over and sat down at their desks while trying not to laugh.
Two days before Maggie and PJ return from there honeymoon. Tom and the others showed up at Maggie and PJ house with some of the guys from cole and family. They all got together and pack everything up and put them on the back of the utes and onto the trailers then drove up to where the new house is. When Elle saw the house for the first time she was shocked by the size of it.
"Wow this look amazing tim"
"It worth it, wait till you see the inside"
"Can't wait, but from what I've seen they going to love it" When the ute stop they got out and look around just as the other utes and cars pulled up and every one got out
"wow this house looks amazing" Dash said.
"Come on, let's get everything in side" Tom said. Then they all start to take things in side and unpack most of the items.
When everything was done they all head to the pub since Tim and Elle paying for dinner and drinks as a thank you gesture. When they walk into the pub Chris saw them
"Everything done"
"Yep and we are very thirsty" Elle said
"Ok cold drinks coming right up." they all walk into the dinning room where they all sat down while waiting for their drinks.
When they got them, they were all pleased. Then there first course came out it was mini fish cake bites and battered crab sticks with the tarti sauce. Then they all enjoy the main course which was streak egg, onions and steak chips with salad.
When they guys saw how big the streak was they were grinning from ear to ear. Then they all had ice cream sundaes for desert. Elle and Tim was last to leave paying the bill plus giving Chris a large tip so she could give it to the kitchen staff since she asked them to keep the kitchen open for an extra hour because of the amount of cooking they were doing after kitchen was close. The staff and Jenny was shocked when Chris gave them their share of the money but they were happy.
