Gyutaro smiled, "it's very nice to meet you. If you hadn't been here, Shigeru and Rokuta might have died. Not that you're not strong too Tanjiro. But you were having trouble." He said, looking at his younger Brother. Tanjiro nodded as he sheathed his sword, "yeah, that one was hard, because of it's Blood Demon Art. It could turn into smoke to dodge my attacks," he tuned to Renho, "thank you for helping us Miss Kanahe" he said gratefully. The woman nodded, "you're welcome" she replied. Tanjiro then turned back to the two younger boys, "now why did you two run away from me? You were supposed to stay with me, remember?" he asked, gently scolding.
"We didn't mean to run away. We heard a sound, like a flute or something, and we had to follow it! We couldn't stop" Rokuta replied, tugging on Tanjiro's Haori, "we didn't even want to follow that flute, it was kind of scary sounding" the boy explained. Gyutaro frowned, "the sound of a flute caused you to run away?" he asked. "A sound-based Blood Demon Art?" Renho asked, "but that Demon we just fought could turn himself into smoke. He didn't have a sound based ability" she said, beginning to look around as she grabbed the handle of her sword again. "Does that mean there's another Demon around here, and the smoke one just turned up?" Gyutaro asked, realising the answer to his own question a moment later- his bad feeling hadn't gone away.
Suddenly the sound of a flute could be heard. "Shit! Cover your ears!" the female Demon Slayer cried, as all three of them pressed their palms to their ears. But Shigeru and Rokuta were now slowly walking towards the lake, their eyes glassy and dull. "No! Don't listen to it! Damn it!" Gyutaro cursed as he couldn't grab the boys without uncovering his ears. He could still hear the flute, but it was muffled, making him sway backwards and forwards, instead of following the sound like his little Brother's were. "What do we do?!" Tanjiro cried fearfully, eyes wide in horror as Shigeru and Rokuta continued walking. Gyutaro growled. If only Ume were here, she could block the Blood Demon Art's control and save their Brother's!
Shigeru and Rokuta were close to the lake, when a purple blur raced in and picked both of them up. "Ume! Thank God!" Gyutaro sighed, as his younger Sister engulfed herself and the struggling boys in the translucent bubble of her Blood Demon Art. The two young boys stopped struggling, and their Oldest Sister put them down. "What- that sound again!" Rokuta cried, looking around, and finding their Older Brother's and the woman who'd save them before standing a distance away with their hands over their ears. "That first Demon is still out there, isn't it big Sis?" Shigeru asked Ume, who nodded, "it is, but my Blood Demon Art cancels those of other Demon's, that's why, even though we can still hear the flute, it's not controlling you like before" the white and green-haired Demon explained.
"Cool!" Shigeru cried. "That's great Ume, thank you for looking after those two for us!" Gyutaro yelled. 'Now we just have to find out where the Demon is, and how to kill it without using our hands' he thought. He was fuming, 'this was supposed to be a calm night out with our Siblings!' he growled as he thought this, cursing their luck and the Universe. 'If this is another 12 Kizuki, I will scream. Although, I'm not feeling as bad as those other times, so it's probably not one,' he thought, 'at least there's that. Why did I think coming here at night would be a good idea again?' Gyutaro wondered. Suddenly, a Demon leapt out of the lake and attacked Tanjiro. The teen dodged, before swinging his sword. However, the Demon dodged the slice.
Gyutaro tried to go to his Brother's aid, but the Flute Demon kicked Tanjiro away, and Gyutaro was forced to grab the 15-year-old as he flew towards him. "Big Brother!", "Tanjiro!" Rokuta and Shigeru cried in fear for their Older Brother. Gyutrao placed Tanjiro back on the ground as the teen gasped for breath from the hard kick. "Stay behind me Tanjiro" Gyutaro ordered firmly, taking out his chained Sickle as he prepared to fight. "I can't just do nothing! Our Brother's are in danger!" Tanjiro cried, desperate to not become deadweight.
"I said stay behind me!" Gyutaro snapped, while not taking his eyes off of the new Demon before him. Tanjiro stood still, eyes wide and shaking from the force of his emotions. Ume walked up, carrying Rokuta, while Shigeru stayed close. His Older Sister handed him the crying 7-year-old, who clung tightly to him in fear, while Shigeru clung to Ume's Kimono.
Tanjiro looked down at his Brother's, his own eyes burning as he comforted Rokuta and then patted Shigeru's head, making the 11-year-old look up at him, "Big Brother will be fine. He's really strong after all." Tanjiro took a deep breath, "The best thing we can do for him right now is to stay safe. The less Gyutaro has to worry about, the more he can focus on fighting that Demon" he said, voice unwavering. Despite how much he wanted to help his Older Brother, he knew that protecting their younger Brother's was an even more important job. If that Flute Demon came for Shigeru and Rokuta, he needed to be able to protect them. The Demon started playing his Flute again, making Gyutaro block his ears.
He then headed in for the kill. Tanjiro leapt out of Ume's protective bubble to help his Brother, but the Demon held up his Flute to block the attack. The pressure on the already damaged Sword caused the blade to snap in half. Tanjiro stood, gaping at his broken weapon. He was so shocked that he didn't notice the hand heading for his chest. "Tanjiro! Get down!" Gyutaro cried. The younger Kamado reacted without thinking and dropped to the ground. Gyutaro swung the weighted end of his Chained Sickle at the Demon's head, smashing it into a pulp. The Demon's body stood for a moment, then dropped his flute and collapsed to the ground, body starting to fade into ash. All five Kamado's watched the Demon fade away, all of them letting out a sigh once he was gone.
Renho walked up to them, warily eyeing Ume, as she was checking on her Brothers. "Could someone explain what a Demon is doing here, and why she's not trying to eat us right now?" she asked, looking over the four boys. "She's our Older Sister" Rokuta replied as Ume picked him up. The woman blinked. Staring at the white and green-haired Demon woman, who was currently cradling the young boy close to her, she could sense no sign of danger or intentions to eat the boy in her arms. "What?" the brown-haired woman asked in confusion. Gyutaro stepped up, "can we talk about this after we've gotten back to our other younger Siblings please? And another one of our Sister's is also a Demon, but she's like Ume, and doesn't hurt them" he asked.
The brown-haired woman sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, "fine, let's just go" she replied.

The group met up with Nezuko, who had been joined by Takeo and Hanako. "What happened?! One minute we were looking at Groceries, the next, Ume runs off!" Takeo cried, after seeing the state of their five Siblings. Tanjiro sighed, "a couple of Demons showed up. Ume must have sensed them, because she came running and saved us. Have we bought everything we need now?" he asked. "Everything except the Groceries" Hanako replied. "Then let's buy them and get home, this was not a good idea at all" he replied, glancing back at Tanjiro who was staring at his broken sword, remembering what happened the last time it broke.
Gyutaro shivered, glad to not be in his younger Brother's shoes. Takeo stared from his Older Siblings to his younger ones, before sighing, "you can tell us what happened later, right now, let's just finish up here" the 13-year-old replied. Soon, they'd bought the groceries, Ume and Nezuko's new Kimono and headed home together. 'Well, look on the bright side. At least the Demons who came after us, weren't members of the 12 Kizuki this time. I'm really sick of those guys. We've run up against 5 of them in the last few months. I bet the Hahsira are having aneurism's, because we keep running into them. Damn it, I just want to have at least one full day off. Is that too much to ask?!' Gyutraro thought to himself, feeling exhausted.
Even on their day off. He clenched his fists in determination. Oh well. It just meant that he needed to become stronger so he could better protect his family. Then his thoughts turned to that woman. Renho. Gyutaro felt his face heat up slightly. She was very beautiful. And strong too. He was also very grateful to her for helping save their younger Brothers. Then he decided. If he ever saw her again, to do something to thank her. The Kamado Siblings continued on their way home, where everyone had a bath and went to bed. 'If Renaho hadn't come today, I might not have been able to save Shigeru and Rokuta. Tanjiro and I both have to become stronger. Especially if we want to avenge our Mother and collect enough blood samples to turn our Sister's back into humans' Gyutaro thought.
'Tomorrow I start training again, but even harder this time. Even if Master Himejima doesn't want me as his Tsuguko anymore, I will get strong enough to kill that Bastard Muzan and save Ume and Nezuko. No matter what!' he thought. It took a few hours for him to fall asleep, but when he did, it was to find his Siblings all smiling at him, all of them human, under the warm sunlight. He smiled.
