Gyutaro helped Tanjiro back to his feet, staring at the sword sticking out of the spot where the dolls head used to be in confusion, "why is there a sword inside your mechanical doll Kotetsu?" he asked. "I-I have no idea! I didn't even know that thing was inside it!" the boy replied, shocked. "A sword from 300 years ago! I didn't even know they could last that long!" Tanjiro said. "They can if they've been preserved properly, but I don't know if this one was, I mean, no one even know that this sword was inside the doll" Kotetsu explained. "Yeah, it's definitely going to be rusty" Gyutaro deadpanned. "W-w-well, we should at least check it, right? The metal they used back in the Sengoku Period was the best for making swords. Maybe it was treated to last as well?" Kotestu suggested.
"Yeah! I should at least check it!" Tanjiro said, fired up. He drew the sword from it's sheath. It was rusty. Both he and Kotetsu slumped to the ground in defeat, "I told you" Gyutaro said with a roll of his eyes. "Maybe it could be restored, I mean, you need a new sword, don't you Tanjiro?" the younger boy asked. "But, it technically belongs to you. I've already broken your doll, I don't want to take your sword as well!" Tanjiro protested. "No, no, it's fine, I mean, what would I do with this sword? But you need a new one so you can fight Demons. So you can have it Tanjiro" Kotetsu replied. "Ah! B-but-" Tanjiro stammered. Gyutaro sighed, and placed a hand on his younger Brother's shoulder, "Tanjiro, you really need to learn when to just say 'thank you' and drop the issue" he said.
Suddenly Gyutaro felt ill and collapsed to the ground. "Big Brother!" Tanjiro cried, dropping the sword and rubbing his Brother's back as he vomited onto the grass, "what is it? Another Premonition?!" he asked. Gyutaro gingerly picked himself up from his crouching position with Tanjiro's help, "I have to speak to the Village Chief immediately. Upper Rank Demons will come here soon, in the next few days at least" he said ominously. Both Tanjiro and Kotetsu gasped, "what?! But the Demons have never managed to find this place, not in the whole time the Demon Slayer Corps has existed!" Kotetsu protested.
Tanjiro looked up at him, "my Older Brother's Premonitions are never wrong. If he says that Upper Rank Demons will come here in the next few days, then we need to tell the Chief immediately, and get more Demon Slayers here, maybe even more Hashira" he replied. "I-I'll take you to the Chief. And meanwhile, we need to get you a new Sword as soon as possible!" Kotestu cried. Suddenly a large, muscled man entered the clearing, "I have heard your story. Leave the sword to me, and go tell the Chief right now" he said. "Wait, you're-" Tanjiro said, as they looked up at the man to see: "Haganezuka?!" Tanjiro cried in shock.

"What the- where have you been?! And when did you get so many muscles?!" Tanjiro demanded. "No time. Hand over the sword and go talk to the Chief!" the Swordsmith roared. "*pant* he's right, Tanjiro. We need to leave now" he said firmly, standing up now that the bout of, what he had started to call 'Premonition sickness' was over. Tanjiro looked between the two men, unsure, "but-" he began, only to be cut off by Kotestu, "Haganezuka's right. He can handle restoring the sword, but we need to tell the Chief about this now and request reinforcements!" the boy cried. Tanjiro sighed and nodded, before turning to his Swordsmith, "I'm counting on you Sir" he said, before turning and running off with his Older Brother and the younger boy.

"Chief! The Demon Slayer Gyutaro Kamado needs to speak with you. He says its an emergency" a Swordsmith said through the closed door. "Alright, send him in" the old Smith replied. Gyutaro entered the room and knelt before the Chief of the Village, "I'm afraid we have a crisis on our hands Sir. I have a Premonition ability, one that seems to be evolving into a Precognition ability, as I have recently begun having visions as well. I have just had a Premonition about the Village being attacked by at least two Upper Ranked Demons. Two Hashira aren't going to be enough Sir. you need to request Hashira-ranked reinforcements" Gyutaro explained.
The man rubbed his head, "I understand the situation, but there is a problem with that young man. It takes several days for anyone to arrive at the Village. Even if we requested reinforcements now, they wouldn't arrive for a few days" he explained. "Well my feeling told me that the attack wouldn't be for a few more nights at least. If you can get them here in two days time, we'd stand more of a chance. Otherwise more people will die" the green-haired young man replied. The Chief's guards looked at him, "what is your decision, Lord Tecchin?" one asked. "It's too much of a risk to dismiss this information. Send a letter to Master Ubuyashiki at once!" the old man ordered. "Yes Sir!" the younger Swordsmiths replied, hurrying off to do as ordered. The Chief turned towards the Kamado, "thank you for bringing this to our attention young man.
We will now have more time to prepare" Tecchin said gratefully. "Of course. As a Demon Slayer, I want to try to prevent as many needless deaths as I can" Gyutaro said firmly.

As Gyutaro left the Chief's house, he wondered on the strange Premonition he'd had before coming here. The whole reason he'd asked to come was because of his feeling that something horrible was going to happen here. But, he'd also had a good Premonition. Something amazing was also going to happen in this Village, and he didn't know what that meant. Was something good going to happen before something horrible did? Or something horrible first, then whatever good thing was going to happen afterwards. He'd never had a good premonition before that, so he wasn't sure what it meant.
So, at last for now, he'd focus on whatever danger was coming, and then he could figure out what the rest of his Premonition had meant afterwards. Soon he reached the place where they were staying. Ume and Nezuko came up to greet him, the Love Hashira with them. "Big Brother!" Ume cried as she hugged him. "Look at our hair! Miss Mitsuri did it for us!" she said excitedly, showing that her hair was now done up in three plaits. Nezuko's was done up in the same way. "Do you like them?" Ume asked him. Gyutaro forced a smile, body still wracked with the effects of his Premonition, "yeah, they look really cute!" he said, bowing to the Hashira, "Thank you for looking after them for us" he said.
Mitsuri smiled, "it was no problem. By the way, I think Muichiro has brought his Brother here to spend some time as well. Those twins are so cute, the way they look after each other" she said. The three Kamado's left to go to their room. "Tanjiro is resting now. Let's let him sleep. He'll need as much rest as possible before the battle begins" Gyutaro decided. Both Ume and Nezuko went to sleep and build up as much energy as possible. "I should write a letter to our Siblings, and at least let them know that we've gotten here safely. I won't tell them about the Upper Rank Demons coming to attack the Village though. I don't want to scare anyone". Gyutaro said to himself.
Gyutaro asked for paper, a brush and ink, and thought about what he wanted to write. 'Hey guys. We made it to the Village a few days ago, and we're waiting for Tanjiro's new Sword to be ready for him. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be able to write to you guys for a couple of days. On the plus side, Ume and Nezuko are having a good time. Hope to see you all soon. Love, Gyutaro' he finished. The green-haired man looked down at the letter. Should he write a letter to the Master as well, letting him know he'd told the Chief and his guards about being related to him? But he didn't know if that was supposed to be a secret or not. Suddenly there was a knock on his door.
Gyutaro turned to it, "come in!" he called. Tanjiro entered the room, "hey Big Brother. How are you doing?" he asked. The older Kamado smiled, "good. I just finished writing a letter to our Siblings, and was wondering if I should send a letter to the Master, but I guess the Village Chief is already doing that," he paused, tilting his head in thought, "I just realised, if the Master and I are related, what should I call him now? Cousin?" he wondered. Suddenly the door was opened again, this time by Yuichiro Tokito. "Oh, Yuichiro! Are you lost again? Did you wonder away from your Brother?" Tanjiro asked in concern, moving over to the younger boy.
"Uuh-" the Mist Hashira's twin said slowly, eyes roaming the room sluggishly. "Are you alright?" Tanjiro asked in worry, drawing Yuichiro's gaze to him. The boy blinked, before smiling, "Father. You're finally home!" he said slowly, moving to hug Tanjiro. The younger Kamado awkwardly returned the hug, visibly confused, "I missed you" Yuichiro said. Tanjiro glanced down at Gyutaro, who was just as baffled as the younger teen. "Yuichiro! Brother, where did you go?!" Muichiro called worriedly, from the hall. "In here!" Tanjiro called. The Mist Hashira looked through the door to find his twin hugging Tanjiro.
Yuichiro turned to look at his Brother with a smile, "look Mui! I found Father! He's back now" he said. Muichiro grimaced and sighed, "that's not Father Yui. We have to go now, it's getting late" he replied sternly. But the crippled boy clung tighter to Tanjiro with his remaining hand. "No, It's Father! We need to go home together!" he insisted. "Um, why does Yuichiro think I'm your Father all of a sudden?" Tanjiro asked in confusion. "Probably because of your eyes. Maybe because of your personality too, but it's most likely because of your eyes," the Mist Hashira explained, "since our Father had the same eyes as you" he said. "Oh. So that's why he think I'm your Father" Tanjiro replied quietly.
"I'm so glad you're alright. I knew that you couldn't have died that day Father" Yuichiro said in relief. Tanjiro grimaced as he patted the younger boys back, "It's, alright now. You, go home with, your Brother. I-I'll come soon, alright?" he asked, struggling with the lie. It felt so wrong, especially since he was manipulating an injured boy, who only wanted his Parents and Brother. Yuichiro pulled back, "are you sure, Father? We can walk home with you?" he asked worriedly. Tanjiro patted the boy on the back, "thank you for worrying about me, but I'll be fine. You go on first, alright?" he asked. Yuichiro looked down, "alright. But don't be gone too long, okay?" he asked, going back over to his twin, who took hold of his remaining hand.
Once they were gone, Tanjiro collapsed. "I never expected you to be able to lie that well Tanjiro. Good job" Gyutaro said, amused. "I wish I didn't have to! I hope he won't be hurt when he realizes that his 'Father' isn't coming home!" Tanjiro replied tearfully. His Older Brother patted him on the head, "don't worry, I'm sure by the time they get back to the Wisteria House, Yuichiro will have forgotten all about this" Gyutaro replied. "Now, let's get this letter sent. I wonder if the chief has already sent the request for reinforcements?" he wondered. Tanjiro frowned over at him, "do you think we can survive? This is more than one Upper Rank Demon we're talking about here" he asked worriedly.
Gyutaro clenched his fists, "I hope so. Part of my Premonition for what was going to happen here was good, so I hope that means that everything will be okay" he replied.

Gyutaro and Tanjiro then visited Genya in his room. "Hey Genya! I've brought Rice Crackers for us to share!" Tanjiro called as they met him at the door. "Oh cool. I prefer Ohagi, but Rice Crackers are good too" the Mohawk-haired teen said happily. As they ate, Gyutaro glanced down to the drying letter on the table. "You writing a letter home as well?" he asked. "Yeah. My younger Siblings wanted me to let them know how I was doing" Genya replied before taking another bite.
"Where are your Sisters? Don't they usually come with you in their boxes?" the Shinazugawa asked curiously. "They're sleeping now. We just finished writing letters of our own home, so we thought we'd come spend some time with you!" Tanjiro replied brightly. "Right. So Tanjiro. I hear you'll be getting a new Sword soon. That's great" Genya said with a smile. Gyutaro frowned, as he looked at the boy who was Takeo's best friend, debating weather to tell him or not. Well, he was a Demon Slayer too, he would have to know. "Hey, Genya, there's something we need to talk about" he said seriously. Genya blinked, before frowning, the relaxed atmosphere instantly disappearing, "what is it? Is something wrong?" he asked.
Gyutaro took a deep breath, no backing out now. "I have a powerful Premonition ability. And it is telling me that Upper Rank Demons are going to attack the Village in a few days time. I've already told the Chief, he is writing a letter to the Master to request reinforcements for us. I just thought you should know about it so you were ready" he explained. Genya looked between the two Kamado Brother's, blinked, looked between then again, then gaped, "what?! You're serious?!" he yelped. "It's true, our Older Brother has had many accurate Premonitions in the past! I know it's hard to believe, but what Gyutaro is saying is correct!" Tanjiro replied vehemently.
Genya closed his mouth and rubbed the bridge of his nose, "all of this stuff is crazy, damn it! What's next? You related to the Master as well?!" he asked sarcastically. Upon hearing no reply, the teen looked up, to find the Brothers avoiding his gaze, "well, actually-" Gyutaro began. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me! I was kidding! Are you saying that you're actually related to the Master of the Demon Slayer Corps?!" the teen shrieked. "Ssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh!" that's a secret!" Tanjiro hissed. Genya let out an explosive sigh, "fine, whatever! Look, I'll be on my guard, now can you guys leave me alone?! I'm got a lot of stuff to think about now thanks to you two!' the 16-year-old snapped.
The two Kamado's left the room. "I hope your Sword is ready before the Demons attack Tanjiro." Gyutaro said worriedly. "Me too. I'd hate to be helpless while people need help" Tanjiro replied.
