First battle
First gym battle
Who will she meet? What Pokemon will she catch? What will she think of the Gym leaders? Those are the questions I'm sure you're all asking. So, leave a review, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
Chapter 4
First Catch, First Encounter
Ruby POV.
I'm really doing this! Hahaaaaaaa! I feel like a character in an RPG, they should totally make a game like this, it could be a best seller and even get a TV show. Hopefully animated and NOT live action. I just hope my parents and my family are okay.
POV end.
After they entered route 1, they went their seperate ways. Ruby was happily walking through Route 1, excited about all the people and Pokemon she could meet.
"Wonder what Pokemon I'm gonna catch first?" Ruby asked herself. She then heard the sound of grass rustling.
"Hello?" She asked. She then tip toed closer and closer until she saw a tiny brown rat with red and yellow eyes.
"Whoa, who's that Pokemon?" Ruby. She then took out her Pokedex and turned it on.
Patrat
The Lookout Pokemon.
Patrat stores food in it's cheeks, they do this so they can take long shifts watching over their nests. They use their tails to communicate.
"Sounds like a very trusty Pokemon", said Ruby reaching for a Pokeball. "I gotta catch it. Oshawott, help me out". She then tossed her Pokeball into the air, it opened and Oshawott came out. Patrat heard the noise and looked at them, it then got annoyed.
"Use tackle" said Ruby. Oshawott then charged forward and trackled Patrat, but it then bit Oshawott on the head. Oshawott the started to scream in pain.
"Use Water Gun!" Shouted Ruby. Oshawott then shot a stream of water from it's mouth sending Patrat into a tree.
"Now, if I remember correctly", said Ruby. "I need to do THIS next". She then pulled a Pokeball out of her bag.
"Go! Pokeball!" She shouted. She then threw the Pokeball, it hit Patrat, opened and it turned Patrat into a stream of red light, absorbed it before closing up. But, the ball started to wiggle and the button on the ball was flashing red. Ruby only stared until, there was a booping noise and it stopped wriggling and flashing.
"Oh YEAHAHAHA!", said Ruby as she picked up the Pokeball. "Our family just got bigger, because I just caught, Patrat!". Oshawott then jumped up with excitement with her.
"Okay now, back in your ball, Oshawott" said Ruby. She then returned Oshawott to her Pokeball.
'There should be a town near by', Thought Ruby. 'Maybe I can grab some food there. Heh, I wonder if this world has an equivalent of fondue?'. She continued to walk down Route 1, after about 25 minutes, she found another town. She looked at the sign to see it read 'Accumula Town'. As she looked at the town, she saw people and Pokemon either living or working together.
"Whoa", said Ruby. 'This place, looks awesome'. She then saw a red building with a Pokemon symbol on the front of the roof.
"Maybe there's a place in there?" Wondered Ruby. She walked up to the building and the doors opened. She walks inside and sees that several people and Pokemon relaxing. There were some playing, some grooming, some eating and many other things. She then saw a young woman with pale pink hair wearing a nurses uniform behind a counter. She then walked up to it.
"Oh, hello there", the woman said with a smile. "Can I help you with anything?".
"Uh, yeah", Ruby asked unsure of herself. "Could you tell me what this place is?".
"Oh, this is a Pokemon Centre", the woman asked. "I'm Nurse Joy, I run this place. I also help sick Pokemon in need".
"Oh, well, uh, I'm Ruby Gillman", said Ruby. "Could you have a look at my Pokemon?". She reached into her bag and took out both Oshawott and Patrat's Pokeballs. But she didn't know that something else fell out as well.
"Why sure", answered Nurse Joy. "I'd be happy to". She took the Pokeballs out of Ruby's hands and walked into the back. As Ruby turned around and was about to walk away, she felt like her foot hit something. She looked down and saw some kind of case. It had a black bottom half and a blue top half with a Pokeball symbol, but the bottom half was fused with a triangle.
'What's this?' She thought. A musical sound was then heard.
"Ruby Gillman", called out Nurse Joy's voice. "You Pokemon are finished with their check up and are ready for collection". Ruby then walked up to the counter. A pink and beige fluffy creature with big ears and a white tail walked up to her, holding her Pokeballs.
"Audino Audi" it said.
"Oh, what's this?" Asked Ruby.
"Oh, that's my Audino", answered Nurse Joy. "It's my partner". Ruby then took out her Pokedex.
Audino
The Hearing Pokemon.
Using the tendrils on it's ears, it can use the heart rates of People and Pokemon to sense how well they are.
"Wow, that's a useful Pokemon" said Ruby as she put away her Pokedex. Audino then handed her her Pokeballs.
"Thank you", said Ruby. "Oh, uh, could you tell me what this is?". She then held up the case she had.
"Oh, that's a badge case", answered Nurse Joy. "You can collect gym badges and place them in it". Ruby looked at the case confused.
"Gym Badges?" Asked Ruby.
"All across Unova, there are places called Pokemon Gyms", answered Nurse Joy. "You challenge the Gym Leader and if you win, you win a gym badge. When you have eight, you can enter the Pokemon League. Win the league, you can become champion".
"W-wow", said Ruby in awe. "That-that sounds awesome. What's the nearest gym?". Nurse Joy smiled at the young trainer's excitement.
"The nearest one is in Striaton City", answered Nurse Joy. "And I must say, it's nice to see a trainer with such enthusiasm".
"Oh, why thank you", said Ruby. "Well, I best be going. Thank you, Nurse Joy".
"You're welcome", said Nurse Joy. "Enjoy your journey, but be careful if you run into Team Plasma".
"Team Plasma?" Asked Ruby.
"They're a group a no-Gooders who want to 'liberate Pokemon'", said Nurse Joy. "They are not Very well liked".
'Oh great', thought Ruby in frustration. 'Just what I need'.
"I'll keep that in mind" said Ruby before walking out. As she exited the Pokemon Centre, she was unaware that a man with green hair tied into a ponytail was staring at her.
'So, she finally came', the man thought. 'The kraken who could tame the dragons, has finally come'.
