On Light Feet

23rd of December, 1994.

After his run with Fleur that morning, Harry disappeared off to Diagon Alley to pick up the wands that he had commissioned from Ollivanders. He entered the little cramped store and the bell rang.

"Ah, my mystery customer returns," Ollivander said with a gleam in his eyes. "The wands are ready. I will say that I have never commissioned a wand and then had it work for the person who asked for it. Wands simply do not seem to work that way."

"We'll see," Kato said.

Ollivander opened the box that held the ebony wand. "Thirteen and a half inches. Petrified Ebony and Jill feather," he said. "Well, go ahead. Try it out."

Kato placed his hand on the wand and lifted it out of the box. He remembered what it had felt like to grab the Holly and Phoenix feather wand that he had used for so long, but it didn't compare. He lifted the wand and a thick rain of sparkles flowed out of the tip, like water almost. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

Ollivander gasped and he almost couldn't believe his eyes, but there it was. The first wand he had made according to an order and it worked. It made him wonder if maybe young Mister Potter knew something about wand composition. It had to be instinctual, but it could very well be why he had been so certain the wands would work.

"I will ask that you return to me with any other wand requests like these," Ollivander said. "And I very much want to know if Mister Longbottom has a similar reaction with his wand."

"I will remember to send you a note," Kato said. "Now how much do I pay for this?"

"Ten galleons total considering you provided the material and you promise to return should you ever need to make another wand with materials from that box of yours," Ollivander said.

"Deal," Kato said. He paid Ollivander and headed back to Hogwarts. Now he had all his gifts ready.

Once he got back he headed up to the common room and went up to his dorm. Thankfully everyone else was at breakfast so no one had noticed his absence. He pulled his sword out from under his bed and linked the gem in the sword with the gem in the wand. He sat down on the bed and merged the two. His sword was now his wand and vice versa.

Then he headed back down so he could grab some fruit from the tables in the Great Hall and join Hermione in her pursuit to finish the homework they had been given over the holiday.

24th of December, 1994.

Harry knocked on the door to the Beauxbatons' carriage. A guy opened it and let him inside.

Lucille smirked as she saw him. "Oh, didn't Fleur tell you," she said in French. "It is the night before the ball and everyone gets to paint their nails."

Harry didn't necessarily understand everything she said, but he could see that no one wanted anything to do with Lucille right then. Most of the boys quickly disappeared into their rooms so they wouldn't have to be part of the night's activities.

Harry stayed through. He saw Fleur sitting with a small group of girls talking. As he understood it. Fleur wasn't friends with any of these girls, but she also didn't hate them and not all of them disliked her. There were a few, but they were underhanded enough that you didn't usually notice.

Harry walked over to her. "I hope you don't mind me joining you Mademoiselles," he said.

"Non, not at all," one of them said as she smiled brightly at him.

Harry sat down and Lucielle started talking to everyone. He didn't have a good enough understanding of French to keep up with her, but Fleur told him the gist of it.

"Now everyone pair up," Lucille said. "And Fleur you better pair up with your baby boyfriend. No one else wants the mess that he might produce."

"Was this a bad evening to come by?" Harry asked Fleur as they sat down facing each other. He had a girl each on either side of him and their partners framed Fleur.

"Depends on how you look at it," Fleur said slowly. She did her best to make sure that he could understand her. "We will paint our ongles," she said as she pointed at her fingernails.

Harry nodded. "Got it," he said. He could live with that.

"Now for length and base colour," Lucille said. She had sat down with another group of girls and was still talking like they needed instructions. Harry somehow doubted they did, but he guessed it made Lucille feel important and would shut her up for later. She kept instructing people and Harry watched as the girls next to him started. The one sitting to his right caught on to the fact that he certainly didn't know how to do this and started saying the spells.

Harry smiled at her and thanked her and she giggled and smiled back while answering that he was most welcome.

Harry looked at Fleur. "Just make my nails like you want yours to look," he said. "I'll copy you."

Fleur smiled. She took his right hand in her left and she elongated his nails. Then she coloured them a pretty silver blue. She did the same to the other hand and then it was Harry's turn. He took his wand and breathed in slowly before repeating the spells she had used. He did his best to copy what she had done to him.

Then they moved on to colours and patterns and Harry took some liberties with that as he wove dragon tongue into the pattern. He wrote so small that it would be hard for anyone to tell what was written, but the text was there. Fleur smiled as she looked at her nails. "Merci 'Arry," she said.

"Those are beautiful Fleur," the girl to Fleur's right said.

Fleur smiled. "They really are," she said. It felt good to show Lucille up when she had been so nasty. Turned out Harry was quite good with makeup spells.

They went and sat down on their own after that so they could continue just talking. It was a nice quiet evening until Harry returned to the Gryffindor Tower.

"Whoa, mate what have you done?" Ron asked as Harry sat down by the fireplace.

"Fleur wanted help fixing her nails for tomorrow," Harry said with a shrug. "I helped her out."

"Why does that mean you have blue nails?" Ron asked.

"Because she showed me how to do it," Harry said.

"Oh, Harry, those nails are so pretty!" Lavender said as she looked over at them.

"I can make them," Harry said. "Like I know the spells to make them for others."

"Oh, would you?" Lavender asked.

Harry looked at her and a few other girls that seemed quite into the idea of having manicured nails for the ball. "Sure we can set up a station for that tomorrow afternoon," he said.

"Awesome," Lavender said. "Thank you, Harry."

"So you are going to spend all afternoon painting nails?" Ron asked.

"It looks that way," Harry said.

"You are insane," Ron said.

25th of December, 1994.

Early the next morning Harry was woken up by the sound of his dorm mates opening their Christmas gifts. He activated his glamour and made sure to hide the dragon egg before he pulled his curtains open.

"Merry Christmas Harry!" Neville called.

"Happy Yule," Harry almost had to shout back over the ruckus. It looked like Ron had found his gift from Harry judging by the mess.

"Thanks for the joke stuff and the Cannons hat, Harry," Ron called as he noticed that Harry was awake.

Harry just waved. He grabbed a gift from his pile and was very glad that he would meet his closest friends for a giving of gifts on New Year's Eve. Some gifts just outshone others. The most interesting gift he found in the pile was from Sirius. He had gotten Harry a penknife that had attachments that would unlock any lock and untie any knot. That could always come in handy when he couldn't use his spider. The second best gift was the jumper from Mrs Weasley with a big black dragon on the front.

Harry skipped the run that day. Instead, he joined Fred, George and Ron in pulling everyone outside for a snowball fight. He chuckled as he hit Fred square in the back before he had to start running with both the twins running after him. They eventually caught up with him and tackled him down in the snow. Harry grabbed George and threw him over his shoulder into a big pile of snow.

Fred walked up behind Harry and grabbed him and together Fred and George managed to push Harry into a pile of snow. He hit the snow with a thud. He struggled against the twin terror Weasleys. He laughed and pushed them off him one by one. He got up on his knees and rolled out of the way for a snowball before jumping at Fred. He wrestled the redhead down, but before he could repay him he was tackled to the side.

"What? You need three hours to get ready?" Ron said.

Harry sat up. He looked over at Hermione. "You going?" he asked.

Hermione glared at Ron before nodding to Harry. "Are you coming too? You said you would help Lavender with her nails," she said.

"Yupp, I'll come along," Harry said. "See you later," he told the guys. He grabbed George and pushed him down in the snow before climbing out of the snow and joining Hermione.

"Really Harry you're as bad as the girls," Ron said.

Harry shrugged. "I did promise Lavender I would help her, and I don't want to be elbowing with everyone else later," he said. He headed up and stepped into the shower. He had laid out his robes. He had to put them on out of glamour which was another reason that he wanted to do this before all the other boys showed up. He got ready and fixed his hair as well as he could. His hair was coming along nicely. He narrowed his eyes. If he lengthened it now he could say that it was for the look and no one would really say anything. He wanted it to be long enough to tie up. Making that register on the glamour was a little tricky but they had given him a few openings into the glamour and hair was the easiest one since it could change so much. He walked up to a mirror with the glamour and fixed his hair. He went and fetched a hair tie and a silver hair cuff. He tied his hair up and placed the cuff in.

He smirked. He looked good.

Harry chuckled as he headed downstairs. He called Winky and asked for some mess-free finger foods. Winky happily bounced off and returned sometime later with tiny spring rolls and mini pies and sliders.

Harry sat down in a chair and waited for the ladies to join him. Ginny came down the stairs and walked up to him. "My hair is a mess," she complained.

Harry smiled. He reached out and helped her. Her dress was a little old-fashioned and he didn't want her hair to clash.

"Thank you, Harry," Ginny said. She took a look at her hair and smiled.

Other girls came down into the common room as the boys started heading up to get started. Harry sat down as Lavender came over. "Could you fix my nails?" she asked. Lavender was dressed in layers of pink that made her look like a princess. Harry matched her nails to the dress and she bounced off happily. After Lavender Harry had a steady stream of girls coming to him.

Parvati got some of the prettiest nails since her Indian-style clothes let Harry play more with gold and rhinestones without her looking tacky.

"Thank you, Harry," Parvati said.

When Ron and his brothers made it up the stairs, Harry was sitting in the middle of a group of girls. Ron went between jealousy and disgust. He wouldn't know what to do in a group of girls. He would probably just get them all angry at him. What he didn't understand was how Harry could sit there and laugh.

"Whoa, Harry mate, what are you trying at," Seamus said as he passed by.

Harry and all the girls he was surrounded with turned to look at Seamus. "I'm having fun with the girls," Harry said. "Did you know that Nicolai in Ravenclaw has the like most amazing blue eyes ever?" He ducked as Alicia Spinet punched him. "Ow."

"We don't sound like that," Alica said.

"I know that," Harry said with a laugh. He went back to painting nails.

Fred and George came back down and they joined Harry. "Well, well Harry you look dashing," they said in unison.

"Thank you. You're not too bad yourselves," Harry said.

"You think Angelina will approve," Fred said as he twirled girlishly. "I don't look fat in this right."

Harry chuckled. "I think she'd be overjoyed as long as that impression wasn't supposed to be of her," he said.

"It better not have been," Angelina said as she walked down the last steps of the spiral staircase leading up to the girl's dorms. Her yellow dress flowed around her. She looked like a goddess.

"Ah, my pretty lady, will you forgive this poor jest for his missteps," Fred said dramatically.

Angelina shook her head in amusement. She took Fred's outstretched hand, and he hugged her close.

Alicia walked over to them from her group of friends and took George's hand not long after that.

They were all on the Quidditch team. Katie came down as well and all of them were gathered. The Gryffindor Quidditch team. They spent fifteen minutes or so just talking to each other. They ended up on the subject of Quidditch eventually.

"…well who says we can't play some?" Harry said. "They just said there won't be a competition this year. That doesn't mean we can't play. All we need to do is talk to the other teams you know. The only bad part is that we don't have a Keeper. But you know what, maybe it would be a good idea to look for one this year and train them so they're ready next year."

Angelina smirked. "Oh, that is such a good idea. No one else will think about that," she said.

"So until the weather gets better we look for people who are interested then?" Alicia said.

"That would be the plan," Harry said. "I spent hours flying before it got too cold. We should be able to make a game of some sort out of training too now that slave master Wood is not running the team."

"And then we get serious when it matters," Angelina said. She looked up at the stairs as footsteps made their way down the girls' stairs. "Oh, my," she said.

Harry turned towards the stairs. A smirk spread over his lips. "You look lovely Hermione," he said. He held his arm out for her. "I'm going to assume that your date isn't a Gryffindor," he said. "May I walk you downstairs?"

Hermione's bushy hair had been tamed down and put in an elegant knot at the back of her head. Her dress was blue and made her look slightly like a fairy princess. Harry doubted anyone would have trouble seeing that she was a girl now, as foolish as that notion had been, to begin with. He glanced over at Ron whose mouth was hanging open. She blushed and took his arm. "You look quite stunning yourself," she said.

Harry walked over to the portrait hole with her by his side. The rest of the Quidditch team followed behind them. He smiled softly. Hermione was quiet for once. She seemed rather nervous. "Don't worry," he said. "It'll be fine. You'll have a lovely evening. You'll see." He guided her down to the Entrance Hall. "Are you leaving the castle?" he asked.

Hermione nodded slowly. "Yes," she said.

Harry looked over his shoulder. "We'll see you guys later," he said. He led Hermione out of the castle and into the cold evening. He warmed her up as they walked out towards the ship. The courtyard had been turned into a maze of ice tunnels. It looked magical. They made their way to the Durmstrang ship and up the gangplank. Harry reached out and knocked on the door to the forecastle.

It took a little while, and then the door opened. It was Viktor Krum. "Herm-own-ninny you are beautiful," he said. He turned his head and looked at Harry.

Harry smiled. "I'll leave you now. I have my own lady to get to," he said. He kissed Hermione on the forehead. "Have fun," he said. Then he backed off before turning around. He needed to go and meet Fleur. He wasn't the only one standing by the Beauxbatons carriage. There were several Hogwarts students and two guys from Durmstrang out there as well. The carriage opened and several French girls came walking out. Harry smiled brightly as Fleur walked out. Her dress was midnight blue and purple and she looked amazing. Her skin glowed and her eyes were alight with happiness.

"Bonsoir, Mademoiselle Delacour," Harry said as he took her hand and kissed her knuckles.

"Bonsoir, Monsieur, Potter," Fleur said. She took the arm offered to her. The people around them stared at them, but they ignored them.

They walked back to the Entrance Hall through the icy maze that had been made especially for the ball. They entered the Hall and walked up to Fred and George. Harry introduced his date and the twins started laughing. "Oh, this is priceless," Fred said. He bowed. "It is a pleasure to meet you Mademoiselle Delacour," he said.

Harry smiled. The twins apparently knew how to behave. They introduced their own dates, and Fleur started talking to Angelina and Alicia. They found themselves having a lot in common. Harry smiled over at Hermione when she entered with the Durmstrang students.

Then they heard Professor McGonagall's voice call, "Champions over here, please!"

"We'll see you in there," Harry told his friends before he led Fleur over to the closed doors to the Great Hall. They were joined by Krum and Hermione and Cedric and his date who was a cute Asian girl in a silvery-white kimono cut dress. Harry was sure he'd met her before, but it was ages ago for him. He turned to Professor McGonagall as she instructed them to wait to the side of the door as the other students entered so they could all walk inside in procession. It was supposed to be a show, that was clear.

Harry smiled at Fleur. "We should stay together," he suggested to the other two champions.

"That sounds like a good idea," Fleur agreed with him. "Unless you would rather sit with your friends."

Viktor looked down at Hermione. "Vould you like to stay vith the other champions?" he asked her.

Hermione smiled and nodded. "Yes, that would be nice," she said. She turned to Harry. "As long as you guys don't make all conversation about Quidditch," she said.

Harry chuckled.

"What is wrong with Quidditch," Cho said with a smile. "I'm up to keeping the champions together," she added

Cedric nodded. "Sounds good," he said.

"You all play Quidditch?" Viktor asked, surprised.

"Oh, no," Hermione said with a smile. "What have I started?"

"We're all seekers actually," Cedric said chuckling. "But I think that Miss Granger is right. Maybe tonight is not the time to talk about Quidditch."

Viktor nodded. "You are right Cedric," he said.

Behind Harry, the other students were still walking into the hall. Once they were all inside Harry turned around with Fleur.

"Now you if you would all enter in line after me please," Professor McGonagall said. She walked inside and Harry waited a good minute before he and Fleur started walking in slowly. The customary house tables were gone and replaced with about a hundred smaller tables. "Winky," Harry whispered. He felt the elf's presence next to him. "Could you add another table especially for the champions and their dates in front of the top table please?" he asked. He was glad that Cedric and Cho were walking behind them so Hermione didn't hear him.

All around them, students were clapping. Harry noticed the look Karkaroff was giving Hermione. He'd have to keep an eye on that. He trusted Hermione to take care of herself, and he guessed he trusted Viktor well enough, but he didn't want his best friend to get hurt. Madame Maxime was looking at him with a somewhat displeased expression as well. He didn't fear her though. She might be a half-giant, but that didn't bother him at all. He pulled out Fleur's chair for her before sitting down himself. The others joined them as well.

Hermione was talking intently with Viktor. She didn't seem to have noticed that the table they were sitting at had appeared from nowhere.

"This is rather tacky," Fleur said as she touched the golden plate in front of her.

Harry hummed. "It is the school colour strangely enough. I mean my house Gryffindor uses gold as well. It isn't really fair on the other houses," he said.

"We 'ave ice sculptures at Beauxbatons at Yuletide," Fleur said.

Harry nodded. "Every place is different," he said with a shrug. "It would be so boring if every magical school did things the same." He touched the menu lying next to his plate. "Winky said she would prepare something special for us," he said softly so only Fleur could hear. "I would love to see Beauxbatons though." He'd returned to a more normal conversational tone.

"She's such a lovely elf," Fleur said as the food appeared. She had been drinking a wonderful grape juice as an aperitif. "You could come with me this summer," she said softly. "The school is open during the summer too." She looked down at the samosas on her plate. She picked her fork and knife up and cut the golden crust open. It smelled wonderful. She would have to remember to thank Winky later. She realised that they were vegetarian halfway through her first one. Winky was such a little sweetheart. It was nice with something new.

The main dish was grilled chicken with green bean salad. The warm tomatoes were nice and sweet.

"Vell, ve have a castle also, not as big as this, nor as comfortable," Viktor told Hermione. He noticed that the others were listening too and moved away from her a bit so he was talking to the entire table. "Ve have just four floors, and the fires are lit only for magical purposes. But ve have grounds larger than even than these – though in vinter, ve have very little daylight, se ve are not enjoying them so much. But in summer ve are flying every day, over the lakes and the mountains it is vonderful."

"That sounds rather 'orrible," Fleur said. "The cold I mean."

"It's good motivation to learn to keep warm," Viktor said. "And the viev in summer is vorth it."

"But Durmstrang is hidden from all but the students and teachers right," Harry said.

Viktor nodded. "The headmasters are a bit, параноик, pa-aranoid?" he said. "It's a shame in some vays. It vould be nice to shov others the grounds - not the school so much."

"Beauxbaton is the same way," Fleur said. "We 'ave some exceptions though."

They talked through the desert and it became even more appealing to meet up for their training sessions since they actually seemed to have quite a few things in common.

"Has everyone finished eating?" Dumbledore said. "If you would all stand up, please."

Everyone stood up. The champions moved so they were standing side by side with their dates. The Hall fell silent as the Weird Sisters walked out on a small stage that Dumbledore conjured along the right-hand wall before he'd made all the tables float back to leave the floor clear. Applauds sounded throughout the Hall as the punk-dressed musicians picked up their instruments.

Harry and the other champions walked out on the dance floor as the lights went out all around the room. He led Fleur out on the floor. She smiled up at him as he placed his right hand on her waist and took her right hand in his left. The music started playing, and they started dancing. Out of the corner of his eye, Harry could see Hermione. She was smiling brightly at Viktor.

Eventually, others joined them on the floor. Neville was guiding Ginny Weasley up. She looked really cute in her pastel dress in blue and green. Harry was glad that one of the older girls had taken matters into her own hands and changed the pink to blue. He spun Fleur around. "How does it feel being away from your family?" he asked.

Fleur hummed softly. "Not as bad as I thought it would be," she said. "You are very good company, and the other girls are letting up on me a bit. Not counting Lucille. We are 'aving fun."

"That is good to hear," Harry said.

They danced straight through Mara knows how many songs. Eventually, they moved away from the floor to get some refreshments. They found Hermione sitting alone and Fleur sat down next to her.

Harry tilted his head to the side and raised an eyebrow at Hermione. He knew she hadn't liked Fleur's attitude, but after that day in Hogsmeade, they seemed to get along fairly well.

"So Fleur has been looking into other ways of using the anti-cheating spell," he said to start up a conversation he knew they would both enjoy. If he could help them out then why not do it? He walked away from the girls knowing that they would be deep in discussion within seconds. He found his way to a punch bowl and filled two cups.

"Harry."

Harry turned around. It was Viktor. "Hi, Viktor. On your way back to Hermione?" he asked.

Viktor nodded. "Yes, I have been trying to get back but these girls von't leave me alone," he said.

"I left Fleur with Hermione. Just hang on. We'll get back there," Harry said.

"You are a good flyer," Viktor said. "I sav you against the dragon. There is a game Seekers can play if they have a training snitch. I am vondering if you vould like to try vhen the veather gets better."

Harry nodded. "Sounds like a good idea," he said. He looked back ahead of them. "Oh, that's trouble," he said.

Ron was standing by Hermione. He didn't even seem to have noticed Fleur.

"He's your friend, yes," Viktor said.

"He is but he's got his bad sides and I wouldn't put it past him to try and ruin Hermione's evening," Harry said.

"He vould do that?" Viktor said, his brow wrinkling. That didn't sound like a good friend to him.

"Obvious, isn't it? He's Karkaroff's student, isn't he? He knows who you hang around with… he's just trying to get closer to Harry. He wants to get inside information on him or get near enough to jinx him," Ron said.

Harry sighed. "Vhat is that supposed to mean?" Viktor asked him.

"Karkaroff was a Death Eater, one of Voldemort's followers in the war. I am starting to regret telling Ronald. I don't judge you by your Headmaster's actions," he explained. "Let's stop this before it goes any further." He walked up and kissed Fleur on the cheek as he gave her a glass of punch. "Ron that's enough. Hermione is having a good time with Viktor. I'm here with Fleur. It isn't like she is the only one who is dating a student from another school. If you can't be pleasant, then we don't really want your company tonight," he said.

Ron turned to face Harry. "You can't be fine with this," he said.

Harry raised an eyebrow. "You do realise that I have spent every Tuesday afternoon and every other day on the weekend since the first task with Fleur in the Beauxbatons carriage. That is way more time than Hermione has spent with Viktor," he said. "I like the idea of making friends. I am hoping that Viktor and I will become friends as well. Considering how much we have in common it shouldn't be that difficult."

Ron backed away. He was giving Harry a dark look. "You really have changed," he spat.

Harry shrugged. "If I have, I don't care. I enjoy making new friends," he said.

"Let's go," Fleur said. She looked over at Hermione. "Come, this bouffon isn't worth our time," she said. She took Harry's hand, and they walked away. Hermione and Viktor were not far behind them. They went back to dancing.

A few dances later Harry led Fleur over to the Bulgarian champion and his date and tapped him on the shoulder. "May I steal your lady for a dance?" he asked.

Viktor bowed his head and held Hermione's hand out to Harry as he took Fleur's hand.

Harry led Hermione away from the other two before he positioned his hands and started leading her across the floor.

"You are very good at this," Hermione said.

"Constant training for hours on end with Fleur," Harry said. "And I'm a fast learner when I put my mind to it."

"You like her," Hermione said.

"I do. In a similar fashion to how I like you," Harry said. "She is a good friend almost like a sister. At least I think that is what having a sister would feel like."

Hermione's face warmed a little. She kind of liked the idea that Harry saw her as a sister. "I thought she was way more shallow than she is," she said. "Teaches me not to judge based on first impressions."

Harry smiled. "It is hard not to though isn't it," he said. "Just like Ron now wants to be convinced Viktor is bad." He sighed. "I'll tell you a secret. Ron is jealous. He likes you but he is too immature to admit it and I don't think you should wait around for him. You deserve someone who can see you for who you are and can challenge you. I don't think that Ron can ever be that person even though I know he is much smarter than he is setting himself up to be."

Hermione nodded. She would keep that in mind. It helped her ignore some of the comments that Ron had spouted. If he was just jealous she could handle that.

Harry made sure that they moved back towards Viktor as they were approaching the end of the song. He caught the Bulgarian's eyes and spun Hermione away from him. Fleur stepped out of the way and Viktor caught her.

The next song was slow and Harry pulled Fleur close. "Whoever catches your eyes is a very lucky man," he told her.

She smiled at him. "Merci," she said. She gazed into his bright green eyes. Then she leaned in and kissed him.

Harry returned the kiss. He wasn't going to leave her hanging. He knew he didn't feel that way for her and he was fairly certain she didn't feel that way either. He knew he wasn't ready for another relationship. Fleur was amazing, but she couldn't compete with Rhavaniel.

They had stopped dancing.

"I just wanted to make sure," Fleur said as the kiss ended. She smiled. "You are a very good kisser."

"I've had a fair amount of practice," Harry said.

"This won't ruin our friendship, will it?" Fleur asked.

"No," Harry said.

"I don't think we would work out," Fleur said.

"Neither do I," Harry said. "I really like you, but," he sighed, "you know I still miss Rhavaniel."

Fleur nodded. Oh, she knew. She just wanted to make sure. And while he was a good kisser something was missing. She wasn't sure what, but it was something. Maybe she would figure it out one day.

"At least we're on the same page," Harry said.

"And I don't need to feel awkward anymore," Fleur said.

"Yeah, something like that."

They danced until the last song and then Harry followed Fleur outside to the Beauxbatons carriage. He kissed her goodnight before walking back to the school. He should have figured she'd try. They had gotten pretty close.
