The State Verses Derek Morgan-Ch 15
At the BAU Shane looks up as Reid says, "Shane can you look up something for me?", he said, "sure, what am I looking for?", Reid walked over and said, "this" as he handed the file he was carrying to Shane. Reid stood beside him as he quickly read through several paragraphs, he then looked up at Reid and said, "so you think that she might have something to do with this?", Reid said, "I think they both do, can you check it out?", Shane smiled and said, "ohhhhh yes" as his fingers then flew across the keyboard.
Emily was walking up the corridor, she was on her way back from the bathroom when she looked up she saw that she was in front of Penelope's lair, she put her hand on the door and said, "ohhhhh PG, I can't believe that you're gone". She then felt the need to feel the presence of her friend so she opened the door and stepped inside and the second she stepped through the door it was like she was hit with a wave of emotions.
She looked around the room and said, "I can't believe that we won't see you anymore, that you're gone, you're gone forever", tears easily slid down her cheeks as memory after memory of her friend filled her memory. Emily walked over and pulled out Penelope's chair and sat down, she then turned around in the chair and said, "the all seeing, all knowing oracle, ohhhh how you will be missed my friend, you will definitely be missed".
Emily jumped when she heard the door open, she relaxed and wiped away the tears that were streaming down her face when she saw that it was JJ, the two women looked at each other, each completely devastated at the loss of one of the best friends that either had the pleasure of knowing.
Emily stood up and JJ pulled her into a hug, the two women stood there openly crying, crying for the loss of their friend, their sister, their teammate, the heart and soul of their team, their light in the darkness and now that she was gone, where, where would they ever find happiness without her.
JJ said, "Henry asked about Garcie this morning, it broke my heart to not tell him", Emily said, "same with Jack, he misses her so much, how are we going to tell the boys that she's gone, that they'll never get to see her again?", JJ said, "that's a good question Em, that's a good question" as they wiped the tears off of each others faces.
Emily said, "I've seen all kinds of sickos in this line of work, we both have but knowing that somebody out there is doing this do Derek and Penelope, what kind of bastard kills the woman a man loves just to frame him so that he can destroy the man for what, for doing their job?", JJ said, "what we have to do now is prove that Derek is innocent and get justice for Garcie, then and only then can we try to move on and try to help Derek move on", Emily nodded her head yes in agreement as the tears started flowing again.
Meanwhile, in the round table room Shane said, "okayyyyyy, now this is interesting", Reid said, "what did you find?", Shane said, "the brother/sister team both went missing from lockup a few minutes apart". Reid said, "were they in the same facility?", Shane looked up at him and said, "yes. yes they were and the only reason being they were waiting on transport to different prisons".
Reid said, "you read the file, do you think they had a reason to go after Derek?", Shane said, "well he was only doing his job but seeing things from the siblings I can see why they are going after him but still, why kill Penelope, she's innocent in all of this?", Reid said, "maybe they think since Derek killed their father, albeit in self defense, maybe they think he was innocent and they wanted to make Derek pay by taking somebody innocent away from him".
Shane nodded his head and said, "now what?", Reid said, "hold that thought, I need to call Hotch", Shane sat back in his seat and watched as Reid pulled his cell out and hit 1 on his speed dial, now all he had to do was wait for Hotch to answer. At the prison Hotch, Mia and Derek were talking when Hotch's cell started ringing, he pulled it from his belt and said, "it's Reid" and put it on speaker and said, "Reid, you've got me, Mia and Morgan".
Reid said, "Hotch, I need you to come back to the BAU, we've found something", Derek smiled and said, "hello pretty boy", Reid said, "hang in there Morgan, we might have found the people that did this to you and Garcia, well not found them but we might know who they are".
Hotch said, "who are they Spencer?", Shane said, "their names are Robert and Robin Blakley", Derek said, "wait a minute, as in Thomas Blakley's children?", Shane said, "the one and the same and to make things more interesting, both siblings went missing or escaped while waiting for transport to separate prisons a couple of months ago but this news was covered up".
Derek said, "how did you find it?", Shane laughed and said, "helloooooo, hacker, remember?", Derek said, "if this works and you get me out of here, I'll owe you big time", Shane said, "and I'll hold you to that but right now we have to find them and therein lies the problem, they've fallen off of the grid".
Hotch said, "I'm on my way, I'll be there as soon as I can", after the call ended Derek said, "go, go, find them and make them confess that they did this so I can get out of here", Hotch looked at Mia and said, "I'll keep you updated", Mia said, "same here, I'll keep you updated on things on this end", Hotch said, "hang in there Morgan, hang in there", Derek nodded his head and said, "just catch them and make them pay", Hotch said, "they'll pay, they'll pay" as he turned around and walked out of the room.
As he headed up the corridor he passed the woman that had come into interrogation and drew Derek's blood, in her hand was an envelope that contained Derek's blood results, well those would have to wait because right now, right now he needed to get back to the BAU and go over this new promising lead and hope that they get lucky because right now luck is what they need, luck and a miracle.
