"What are you doing out here?" Diz asked as he joined the teenage Kara in the garden.
"I just needed some air."
"You okay?"
"Fine."
"I don't need anyone looking out for me." Diz said. "But it's good when they do. The way you look after Alex and MJ is Gucci. And the way you guys are tight is lit, but you don't have to be strong all the time. Especially round me. I'm not going think you are an emo."
"Emo and Gucci? Your slang is weirder than aunt Kara's." The teen commented.
"You know what I mean. You can talk to me."
"I know."
"Do you? Because you have been standing out here by yourself crying."
"I'm scared." The teenage Kara said. "What if mom doesn't make it?"
"She'll be fine." Diz said hugging Kara. "She's probably scaring the crap out of them right now."
"Everything okay?" Ruby asked as she joined her mother in the kitchen.
"I think so." Sam said glancing back at the teenage couple.

"Hello Supergirl." Tycho said entering the red light bathed room where Supergirl was strapped to a metal bed, stripped of her suit and instead wore scrubs. "I have been looking forward to this day. Ever since, well that doesn't matter. I'm not here to discuss history, I am here about the future. And in the near future you will make my vision become reality."
"What do you want?" Supergirl asked.
"You." He said. "You will become my slave. I will correct your deficiencies and make you legendary. When I am done you will do everything I tell you. And you will make me unstoppable."
"That's not happening." Supergirl said.
"Your people designed Myriad. And no doubt it had potential, but it was flawed. Something you proved. It did not go deep enough. To truly control someone you must control everything at every level. The contacts was the next phase, but human brains weren't fully compatible. Then I realised that I was barking up the wrong tree. The answer wasn't electrical it was chemical. Kryptonite offers a way to change your cells, your neurons, everything. Your cousin has proved a useful test subject. But now it is time to move on to you. I have debated the order. But I decided I had to go for the strongest power first. Your mind. First I will remove your memories. You will have no idea who you are or why you are here. Your mind will be a blank canvas on which I can paint my vision. After that you will do anything I want." He smiled before turning to a scientist and saying. "She is all yours."
Nodding the scientist stepped towards Supergirl holding a syringe.
"This will hurt." He said before he injected something into Kara. Making her feel like fire was rushing through her veins. As she started to lose the battle with consciousness she was sure she heard a familiar voice say.
"Hold on. I'm here with you."
Before she could dwell on it though, she passed out.

"Hey." Sam greeted joining Kara in the garden.
"Hi."
"Where's Diz?"
"He went out. I think he is feeling overwhelmed."
"Too many people under one roof?"
"Too many females. And MJ asking too many questions about his power."
"Ahh, well can't help with either of those." Sam smiled. "I know you don't want to celebrate, but is there anything you do want to do? I mean you only turn seventeen once."
"No, I'm fine."
"All you can do is wait. And I know waiting sucks. But time is going to pass by the same amount regardless of if you sit here clock watching or do something. But if you do something time will feel like it passes quicker and will suck slightly less. So even if it isn't to celebrate your birthday why don't we all go out tonight and do something?"
"MJ and Alex won't want to."
"They will if it is for your birthday." Sam argued. "So what do you say?"
"There is something, but it is kind of a me and you thing."
"Okay." Sam said curious.

"Kara is on the move." Lena said as the screen started flashing messages at her.
"Where?" Eliza asked.
"I don't know." Lena said as the dot disappeared. "Damn it." She added. "They must be blocking the signal."
"So we've lost her, all of this was for nothing?"
"No." Lena said looking at another screen. "We can still track. It won't be as accurate and will require a lot of guess work. But it is something." She said as two people walked into the room.
"Barry." Eliza greeted recognising Kara's friend.
"Hi." He said. "How is she doing?"
"Badly. But holding on." Lena said. "They are moving her, which I hope means we are getting close to being able to rescue her."
"I'm here however you need me." He said.

"Let me go." The bruised and battered Alex growled as a guard entered her cell.
"We can't do that. We need you. But today could be the last day we do this dance." One of the guards said as another man walked into the cell.
"Director Danvers." He said. "I have been looking forward to this day. I want you to meet someone. Come in Imperium."
"Supergirl?" Alex asked as her sister walked in.
"No. This was Supergirl. But we have wiped her of her flaws and now she is controlled by us. She is Imperium and she will do anything we ask."
"Supergirl, this isn't you." Alex said forcing herself to stand, despite the pain. In response though Supergirl stood motionless, her eyes devoid of everything.
"What have you done to her?" Alex asked.
"Made her ours. She will do anything for us."
"No." Alex said as she tried to lash out at the guard. But when she raised her hand to punch him Supergirl's eyes glowed red and moments later Alex's hand burned in pain as it was hit by her heat vision.
"This will be fun." The man said. "Set up the main room."

"Mom hasn't sent me any messages for five days." The teenage Alex said. "Something really bad is happening."
"Grandma isn't telling us anything either." MJ said. "And Ruby is keeping silent."
"Hey." Kara said as she and Diz entered the room. "She then looked at her cousin and asked. "Have you heard from aunt Kara?"
"No." The teenage Alex asked.
"You know how focused she can get and when she does she loses all track of time." Kara said trying to comfort her cousin.
"Never for five days."
"If it was bad news grandma would have told us." Kara argued.
"It's already bad news. Mom was kidnapped." MJ said.
"Sam was right. Mom will be giving them hell." Kara said continuing to fight a corner she didn't believe in.
"That will only make it worse." MJ said as Ruby walked in.
"What's going on?" MJ asked.
"What do you mean?" Ruby asked.
"I've not heard from mum for five days." The teenage Alex said.
"If I had news I would tell you." Ruby said. "But I don't. At this stage no news is good news." Seeing their doubt she reminded them. "I have been where you are now. I know how much it sucks to have the truth hidden from you and be kept in the dark. So I promise you I won't do that. I have told you everything I know."

"Have you found them yet?" J'onn asked over the radio.
"Not yet." Lena said. "Their GNSS blockers are still in place. We are lucky we can still communicate with Kara and I may have bought us a little time, although Alex won't appreciate it. I have a new location for you to search. Sending it through now."
"I'll let you know if I find something." J'onn replied before killing the link.
"If we don't get her out soon it will be too late." Eliza said to Lena looking at the readouts.
"Trust me, I know." Lena replied. "I sent J'onn out to the most likely area, he may be able to pinpoint them. Until he does I will buy us as much time as possible." She paused and added. "I can't imagine what you are going through, but when we get them out Kara will need all the anti-Kryptonite chemicals you have made."
"We have everything." Eliza said.
"Are you sure you don't want me to join the search?" Barry asked feeling restless.
"I don't want you to get drained before we need you." Lena said as something bleeped from the side. "Finally." She said opening a door and removing a small object before looking at Barry.
"She has been pumped full of chemicals. We've tried our best to regulate a response, but we were fighting a losing battle, so when you see her, I need you to make her hold this." Lena said passing him a crystal. It should counteract some of what she is going through. The rest will have to wait until she is back here."
"I think I have found them." J'onn said over the radio.
"I'm on it." Barry said disappearing in a blur as Lena contacted Vasquez.
Once she was done she looked again at the readings. "Damnit, I thought that display would work. But they putting more into her." She said to Eliza.
"Can your device counteract that much?"
"I don't know. But for now all we can do is try to keep her sane. You need to talk to her."

When J'onn entered the cell he nearly had his head taken off by Alex swinging her fist at him.
"Easy." He said, catching her burnt fist, relieved that she had fight left in her.
"J'onn?" She croaked.
"I'm right here. Let's get you home."
"No. Kara. Got to get her out." Alex said awkwardly holding her arm at her side. "They are going to do something to her. No. Have done something to her. Have to stop her."
"It's okay Alex." J'onn said. "We've got her. Let's go."
"No. Kara first." Alex pleaded.
"Alex trust me." J'onn said picking her up.

"Kara, I need you to listen to me. Help is coming. You just need to hold on." Eliza said over the radio link. "I know you hurt everywhere, but you need to hold on."
"Not real." Kara muttered.
"I am real. Just focus on me." Eliza said.
"Real?" Kara asked.
"I'm real." Eliza repeated as the door flew open and Barry rushed in.
"I have no idea what this is, but I need you to hold it." Barry said putting the crystal in his friend's hand.
"Ba-" Kara started to ask before passing out. Choosing not to waste further time Barry picked up his friend and rushed her back to Lena's lab before Tycho's guards could react.
