As the teens sat and watched a horror movie, the scenes of decapitated bodies started to induce flash backs for the teenage Alex.

With ever flashback, her fear grew that she might start projecting her memories. Feeling her chest tighten she suddenly stood and bolted from the room, desperate for air.

Confused the other teens looked at each other and the teenage Kara stood.

"I'll go." The teenage Kara said following her cousin out of the house and over the road to the apartment. The sudden rush of teens from one side of the road to the other confusing the DEO guards who sat watching.

"Alex?" The teenage Kara called entered her cousin's apartment.

"Go away." The teenage Alex said trying to calm herself before she lost control of her powers.

"That's not happening. What's going on?"

"What if I can't control them?"

"Your powers? You have the inhibitors."

"Only for when I sleep. I promised mom."

"I think she'd understand. Do you want me to call her?"

"No. But go. I don't want you to see this."

"Then think about … fish." Kara suggested moving closer to her cousin. "You like the aquarium right? Picture the fish or picture watching them."

Closing her eyes the teenage Alex followed her cousin's instructions.

"What happened?" The older teenager asked when her cousin had finally calmed down.

"After Lobo came in he killed everyone. It was like that movie and I seeing it brought it back." Alex said.

"I'm sorry." Kara said hugging her cousin.

"What's going on?" Th adult Kara said entering the apartment.

"I'll leave you to it." The teenage Kara said leaving the apartment.

"What happened?" Kara asked looking at her daughter.

"We were watching a dumb movie and it reminded me of what happened in the lab with Lobo and I didn't want to make the others see so I ran back here. But Kara came after me."

"You made it sound like you didn't see much when you were captured." Kara said sitting next to her daughter.

"I didn't want you to worry."

"Alex, I need you to stop hiding things from me. I want you to tell me things, everything. When you don't, when you hide things, that's when I get distracted."

"Okay." The teen said leaning against her mother.

"Why don't you start now?" Kara suggested.

"Can I wear the inhibitors when I do? I don't want to make you see it."

"Why don't we try something else? Why don't you actually share the memory?" Kara suggested.

Waking to her phone ringing Kara stretched across to the side table, trying not to wake her daughter who was sleeping on her. Grabbing the phone she quietly answered it.

"The second fight is on. Lobo is at the old car plant." Her sister said.

"I'll be right there." She said hanging up.

"Mom?" The teenage Alex asked.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Kara said.

"It's okay. Do you have to go?"

"Yes."

"Lobo?" The teen guessed.

"Yes. But I promise you he won't hurt me." She said kissing her daughter's head before leaving.

When Kara landed in front of Lobo she started to relive all the images her daughter had shared the night before. Unable to control her anger Supergirl immediately unleashed a punch, that was much more powerful than Lobo was expecting and he stumbled back.

"Wow, I was starting to think you didn-" He started to reply only for Supergirl to punch him again and again, this time knocking him down to the ground.

"I like this side of you." He said getting to his feet and stretching his neck.

"You okay there?" Alex asked over her sister's radio.

"She's a kid. What were you thinking?" Supergirl asked punching Lobo again, while ignoring her sister.

"Who?" Lobo asked.

"Who do you think?"

"Baby Supes? I saved her. You should be grateful." Lobo said charging at Supergirl.

"Saved her? You kidnapped her and traumatised her." Supergirl said blocking his attack.

"Coulda killed her." Lobo pointed out not helping Supergirl's mood who tossed him into the building.

-00-

"Just to check, we are still on the fake fight plan right?" Vasquez asked Alex. "Because your sister looks like she wants to kill him."

"It is meant to be a fake fight." Alex agreed. "But she isn't responding to my radio calls so who knows."

"She hasn't looked that angry since, well ever." Vasquez said. "Is Alex okay?"

"I've already checked that and yes she's fine and no she hasn't had a fight with Kara."

"So what do we do?" Vasquez asked.

"Continue with the plan." Alex said. "And just hope Lobo and Supergirl remember the plan. How long until the team is in position?"

"One minute. And the press in three. We assumed we were waiting until the press were there."

"Yes." Alex said. "Assuming they haven't killed each other by then." She added as she saw her sister get thrown in a wall.

-00-

"This is why you should be my mate." Lobo said as he dusted himself off.

"Never happening." Supergirl said punching him again.

"This side of you is so much better." Lobo grinned. "We just need some drinks and-" The last part of his statement was cut off by Kara punching his jaw.

"Batich! Wow!" He grinned before launching himself at her, sending them both crashing through a wall.

"Down." Supergirl said.

"What?"

"Down. It's the weapon. The one that can hurt you." Supergirl said glancing to the DEO team in the distance. When Lobo didn't move. "I can pummel you all day. Or we can get this over with."

"Option 1?" He said as he was punched in the jaw.

"You want to find your target, go down." Supergirl said. She then looked at the DEO agent and flew upwards.

Getting the all clear the DEO agent fired the weapon which struck Lobo who stumbled back clutching his side.

"And people say my acting is bad." Supergirl muttered to herself as Lobo took a few more stumbling steps before fleeing.

-00-

"Want to talk about it?" Alex asked.

"It?" Kara asked.

"Why you looked like you were trying to kill Lobo."

"It was the plan."

"Yes, but you can't act." Alex reminded her. "So why were you actually trying to kill him?"

"I wasn't. I was just unleashing my anger on someone who is basically immortal."

"Okay. Where did the anger come from?" Alex pressed.

"Last night Alex got freaked out from a horror movie."

"I know, the kids told me."

"It was because it gave her flashbacks of what Lobo did. You know those pictures of the lab she was being held out, the pictures of all those people killed in horrible, horrible ways?"

"Yes."

"Lobo did that in front of her. She saw everything."

"Did she share the memory with you?" Alex asked.

"Yes."

"I know what happened to her is terrible, and it should have never have happened. But trying to kill someone, immortal or not, isn't you. Do you think that maybe her emotions are getting the better of you?"

"If it had been your kids you would have done the same."

"Yes I would. But you are better than me." Alex reminded her. "I'm not saying you did the wrong thing, all I am worried about was you may have been acting on Alex's emotions rather than yours, making you more rash and right now with Tycho out there you need to not be rash."

"You're right." Kara said.

"I am?" Alex asked, assuming her sister would put up more of a fight.

"In part. When Alex shared the memory, the emotions, the fear that came with it were so strong." Kara said. "It was overwhelming. I couldn't not get swept up in them. But the thing that really got we was she has been dealing with it by herself so she wasn't a distraction."

-00-

"How is it going?" Kara asked as she entered Lena's lab where her daughter was sat in a chair hooked up to various sensors.

"We are making progress." Eliza said.

"You are? that's great." Kara said grabbing a doughnut from a plate. But before she ate it she said. "Were these for Alex?"

"We got extra incase you dropped in." Lena said.

"We have identified triggers. And Alex is getting really good at controlling them." Eliza said as Kara munched on the doughnut.

"But it won't help me when I'm asleep." The teen said, her tone full of frustration.

"Baby steps." Kara said as Eliza unhooked her granddaughter from the sensors.

"Everything okay with you?" Eliza asked looking back at Kara.

"It's fine. And Alex is back home."

"How much damage did she do to her leg today?" Lena asked.

"I plead the fifth." Kara said before looking at her daughter and asking. "Want to go out and get some dinner?"

-00-

"How are you doing?" Kara asked as she walked along the street with her daughter.

"I'm okay." The teen replied.

"It's okay not to be." Kara argued. "And your frown suggests you are not okay."

"Did you fight with Lobo again because of what I showed you last night?"

"I was always going to fight with Lobo. We needed the DEO to use that weapon on him." Kara said.

"You looked kind of angry." The teen said.

"You watched?"

"It was all over the news."

"Well I was angry with him." Kara said.

"Isn't that what he wants?" The teen asked.

"Technically yes."

"So you gave him what he wanted?"

"Kind of maybe. But he needed to know not to mess with you." Kara said.

"Pretty sure he is more interested in messing with you." The teenager said.

"Well I'm fine with that." Kara said as her daughter's phone started buzzing.

"Your cousins?" Kara guessed.

"No Martin." She said looking round.

"What are you looking for?"

"He said he saw us." She said as her phone buzzed again. Reading the message she said. "He wants to know if we want to join them." As she spoke both Kara and Alex looked round. They were finally interrupted by Steve stepping out of a restaurant.

"As fun as it is watching you two spin round I thought it be easier to just come out." Steve said. "Do you want to join us? We haven't ordered yet." He offered.

In response Kara looked down at her daughter who nodded.

"Great. This way." He said leading them into the restaurant and over to the table.

"Hi Martin." Kara smiled.

"Hi." He replied before asking Steve. "Can Alex and I go to the arcade?"

"Um, sure." Steve said as Kara looked round to make sure the DEO guards were close by. Seeing them she looked at her daughter and said. "Don't worry, I'll make sure I order you something green."

"So how are things with Martin?" Kara asked once the kids had gone.

"Good I think. Well thought. But then again he dragged people off the street so he wouldn't have to spend time with me so who knows. Why has he said something?"

"No. It's just that you are looking a little tired." Kara said

"I have been pulling lots of extra shifts. The recent fights between Supergirl and that guy have created lots of extra work for me." Steve said.

"I thought there weren't any casualties?" Supergirl asked.

"From the fight scene no. But plenty of people got distracted by flying aliens and stopped concentrating on what they were doing and the number of RTAs sky rocketed."

"I didn't know." Kara said.

"Why would you. Everyone focuses on the big thing. No one looks at the detail hidden in the bigger picture."

"I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault." Steve said. "And I didn't mean to complain, it's just I'm tired. It's been a long few days."

"Did anyone die?" Kara asked.

"In my line of work we lose a lot of people." He said before noticing Kara's miserable expression. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you."

"You haven't." Kara said. "You just got me thinking." She added as the kids returned.

-00-

"The gun has been stolen." The older Alex said when Kara dropped by her house later.

"Already? Are your guys okay?"

"They're fine."

"So what now?"

"Either they'll draw Lobo out or they'll figure out where he is. I have a team watching the cave. I'l let you know when we have something. But even if Lobo isn't working with them, this could still be a trap. They could be controlling the metas somehow. If they are you will be fighting an army of metas."

"But you have inhibitors right?" Kara asked.

"Yes, Lena helped figure out the device used on Diz and has been making them. But maybe not enough."

"Okay." Kara said sitting next to her.

"You okay? You seem a little distracted." Alex said.

"Yeah, sorry. Steve said something tonight that got me thinking."

"Steve?" Alex asked. "When did you see Steve?"

"We bumped into him and Martin so had dinner with them."

"So what did he say?"

"He told me how many causalities there had been as a result of my fights with Lobo."

"What?"

"Not directly, but people seeing it in the distance and getting distracted leading to crashes."

"None of that is your fault."

"I should have thought about the bigger picture."

"No. You should have thought about your fight with Lobo. I should have thought about the bigger picture, that's kinda my job."

"After looking after me?" Kara asked.

"Yes, after that." Alex said. "And seeing that is my primary job I am sending you to bed. You need sleep, who knows what will happen tomorrow."

"While I agree, all the kids are at mine. I can't see me getting any sleep there."

"You could boot them out."

"No I can't. You taught Alex the pout. It's your fault."

"We could send mom." Alex said.

"Send me where?" Eliza asked entering the lounge, seeing her youngest she said. "Hi Sweetie."

"Hi." Kara smiled.

"So where are you sending me?" Eliza asked.

"Kara's apartment to disperse the kids." Alex said. "I'd go, but you grounded me."

"Why don't you stay here tonight?" Eliza asked. "I'll stay at your place and look after Alex."

"Really?" Kara asked.

"Really." Eliza smiled.
