"Director, what can I do for you?" Stagg asked as Alex limped into his office the next day.
"We have recovered some information. We know why Lobo has been targeting you. And you aren't the target."
"I told you." He said.
"Someone in your employment is though and he will do whatever it takes to find them."
"Who?" Stagg asked.
"That's where it gets difficult. We don't have a name or even a face. What we do know is you have an alien shapeshifter working for you."
"I don't trust aliens enough to work with them." He said dismissively.
"Like I said they are a shapeshifter." Alex said before looking like she was losing focus. Shaking her head she added. "You probably don't know they are an alien. But I would recommend that you find them before Lobo gets near, because he will kill anyone that he views as getting in their way." She then swayed and placed a hand on the desk, gripping the edge for support.
"Are you okay?" Stagg asked.
"Yes, sorry. My leg is playing up. I just need a moment." She added heavily leaning on it.
"Would you like a drink?"
"No, I'm fine." Alex said straightening. "Do you mind if I sit?"
"Of course." Stagg said. Once she had sat down she went on.
"Sorry. Like I was saying you need to figure out who Lobo is after, before Lobo finds you."
"I thought I wasn't the target?"
"You're not. But you have information and Lobo will chase that. In the past he has killed anyone who has not been forthcoming."
"But you have a weapon now." Stagg said looking at Alex.
"Not anymore."
"You lost it. That's careless." He shrugged.
"Lobo's body is remarkable. It adapts. It was only ever good for five hits at most. By now he will have become immune. Which means there is no defence." Alex said. "Like I said, your best option is to identify who he is after. If you figure it out please call me." She said before stiffly standing and leaving.

"You missed the best part." Kara said as Alex got into the waiting DEO car.
"What?" Alex asked shutting the door.
"Before we get to that, that was an act right? The whole weakness and wobbling. Ruby said it was, but I want to check." Kara said as Ruby started to drive.
"Yes, I needed a reason to place Lena's bug under the desk." Alex said. "So what did I miss?"
"The second you had gone he contacted Kendell to find out if you were on the level. He then ordered a full review of his entire staff to figure out who it is."
"I am so jealous of Super hearing." Alex commented before pulling out her phone and calling the DEO.
"Vasquez, Stagg is looking for the alien, it should mean his files are open. Make sure you monitor everything he is doing." She then ended the call and noticed the strange look Ruby was giving her in the rear view mirror.
"What?" She asked.
"You know she was already doing that?" Ruby asked as she drove back to the DEO.
"Can't hurt to check." Alex said before turning back to her sister and asking. "Do you live in this car?"
"No."
"Then why are you always waiting in it?"
"I'm not always waiting in it. I am waiting in it when you are doing things that may get you into trouble. So that may seem like always, but technically it isn't. Just." Kara responded.
"You are such a brat." Alex said. "How did you even know I was going to see Stagg?"
"Last time I saw you, you had your I am about to do something real stupid look." Kara shrugged. "I thought about sending Eliza, but she's looking after kids."
"Stagg is still trying to feign innocence, he won't do anything to me when I am in his office." Alex said.
"Still a big risk." Kara said.
"Not really. I knew you'd be close by." Alex said.

"We've got some good news." Vasquez said as Alex and Supergirl entered the control room.
"What?" Alex asked.
"Some of the metas Supergirl found are starting to talk."
"What are they saying?" Supergirl asked.
"Right now it is a little confused. But whatever was making them not talk is wearing off. I have stood up the debrief team. I am assuming they aren't going to just hand us Stagg, but hopefully there are some clues we can follow. I'll let you know if we get anything."
"Anything from Stagg yet?" Alex asked.
"We are seeing every personnel file he is seeing." Vasquez said. "We are cross checking every name with our records to see who might be the alien."
"Make sure you watch Stagg as well. He may react to what I said. If he does he may try to set up Tycho."
"You don't seem happy about that?" Supergirl said.
"If he does I am guessing Tycho will retaliate. My concern is we get caught in the crossfire."
"Where is Superman?" Vasquez asked. "I mean isn't this the best time for Tycho to try and get him."
"I hadn't even thought about that. I'm going to make some calls." Supergirl said.
"You can use my office." Alex said. "But do not leave it and don't go near the prisoners, it still isn't safe."
"Yes Boss." Supergirl replied as she walked off.
"Should you be standing?" Vasquez asked.
"Probably not. I'm going to sit in the rec room. Let me know the second something happens." Alex said before walking off.

"What have you two done?" Eliza asked as her daughters returned home later that day.
"Nothing. Why?" Alex asked.
"You both look like you are hiding something." Eliza pointed out.
"No." Kara said. "I mean Alex is. But not me." She added walking off to find the kids.
"Throwing people under the bus, who knew she could still develop new powers." Alex complained.
"So what are you hiding?" Eliza asked.
"Nothing. Kara just didn't like the fact I was doing my job. It's fine." Alex said as she sat on the couch. "How are things here?"
"Pretty quiet." Eliza said as several thumps came from upstairs.
"What are they doing up there?" Alex asked.
"I don't know. But no one is getting hurt." Eliza assured her. "I'm going to finish off dinner. Do you want me to bring you some ice?"
"Yes please." Alex said not even trying to hide how much pain she was in.
Concerned Eliza grabbed an ice pack and brought it back to her eldest. "How bad is it?"
"It's okay." Alex said.
"I know you are worried about Kara, so am I. But you can't push your recovery."
"I know that." Alex said. "I spent too much time standing on it earlier. But it will be okay with rest. Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere tonight."
"I'll hold you to that." Eliza said. "Call if you need anything."

"How come we never go to watch you debating?" The older Kara asked her niece over dinner. "I mean you compete don't you?"
"Yes." The teen agreed.
"So why do we never go watch?"
"Because up until a few months ago I had a social life and I wanted to keep it." The teen said.
"But you don't now." MJ said with his usual bluntness.
"It's not a watching thing." The teen Kara added.
"Neither is chess, yet we watch." MJ pointed out. "Oh wait, is it because you suck?"
"MJ!" The adult Alex cut in as Diz said.
"She doesn't suck. She wiped the floor with them last week."
"You've gone to a debate match?" The adult Alex asked.
"Can we change the subject?" The teen Kara asked. "Maybe on to MJ's astronomy scores." She suggested causing MJ to kick her under the table only to miss and get the teenage Alex instead. However his foot was no match for her shin and the contact caused his foot to throb with pain and him to wince.
"What's wrong?" Diz asked oblivious to the cause of MJ's pain.
"Nothing. It's fine." He said.
"So do you guys have plans for the vacation?" The adult Kara asked, saving her nephew from further questioning.
"Other than be watched constantly by the DEO?" The teen Kara asked. "No."
"When things have settled down you are always welcome in Midvale." Eliza reminded her.
"Don't you mean if?" Diz asked.
"Things will settle down." The adult Alex said.
"Doesn't feel that way." MJ said.
"How about we don't talk work?" Eliza suggested.
"Is your leg going to be bad all summer?" MJ asked his mother.
"Probably." She replied causing her kids to smiled. Noticing the strange look the adult Kara was giving them the teenage Kara explained.
"If mom's leg is bad we can't do our mandated fun this summer."
"Mandated fun?" The teenage Alex asked.
"Every summer we go camping. And we are forced to have fun."
"Pretty sure fun can't be forced." Diz said as lost as Kara and her daughter were with the concept.
"We don't find it fun, be we are told we have to find it fun." MJ said. "It's like boot camp. One year there wasn't even smores. It was all whatever we could find."
"Kelly was okay with that?" Kara asked confused.
"It was Kel's idea." Alex said. "She wanted them to learn survival skills."
"You were just as bad." The teenage Kara complained.
"But seeing your leg is bad, no camping. Every body wins."

"How are you doing?" Kara asked her daughter when they got home.
"Okay."
"You sure? You were a little quiet over dinner."
"Just tired."
"Did you have more nightmares and not tell me?"
"No. I may have been practicing some of my powers this afternoon."
"Yeah? Guessed that from all the flying balls."
"They weren't all mine. Diz was using his powers too."
"He was? Are you feeling sick?"
"No. He's got better at controlling his range."
"That's good, I guess. How about your powers?"
"Okay I think. It felt like I was more in control."
"That's great." Kara smiled. "How about tomorrow we work on your powers together?"
"Don't you have to work with Lobo tomorrow?"
"He can wait. You are far more important."
