A/N: Thanks for the reviews.

Guest: I'm hoping they go out on a high.

"Who are you?" The adult Alex asked as the man came round. On seeing her he immediately tried to use his powers only to find they didn't work.

"Your mental powers won't work here." Alex said, glad she was wearing an anti psychic device. "So you may as well start talking."

When he said nothing Alex went on.

"Why were you trying to kill Alex?"

"Who?"

"The teenage girl."

"She is in the way."

"Of what?" Alex pressed.

"My employer."

"How?"

"I didn't ask."

"What planet are you from?" Alex asked only to be met by silence. Moments later her tablet buzzed as she read the message she had been sent.

"You are from Dakran." Alex said reading the file. "Who wants Alex dead?"

"My employer."

"Who knocked you out?" She asked as the door opened and Vasquez walked in.

"Ma'am, we've got them."

"Finish up with him." Alex said walking out of the cell where Supergirl was waiting with J'onn.

"I came as soon as I heard." He said. "My car is outside."

"Car?" Alex asked.

"They are in space." Kara explained.

"Wait." Vasquez said. "You may need these." She added handing out a box containing more psychic dampeners.

As Alex, Kara and J'onn walked with purpose through the space ship several alarms started to sound.

"So much for keeping our presence hidden." J'onn said.

"Any idea where we should be looking?" Alex asked.

"This way, Kara's necklace is still transmitting." Kara said marching down the corridor ready to attack anyone who crossed their path.

Eventually they reached a door, behind which the noise was coming from. Not immediately seeing a way to open it Supergirl kicked the door so hard it flew inwards before entering the room where she saw the two teens.

"Alex!" Supergirl shouted before moving over to her as the adult Alex hurried to her daughter's side.

"We're okay." The teenage Kara said as her mother hugged her, while placing a small metal object behind her ear.

As the teen pulled back confused the adult Alex said. "It will keep you safe." She then looked at her daughter and asked. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Did they hurt you?" Alex asked as she deactivated her daughter's necklace.

"No."

"Are you sure?"

"I'm fine." The teenage Kara said as her cousin faced a similar interrogation by the older Kara. Just then they heard footsteps from the corridor.

"Why did you kidnap them?" Supergirl asked looking at the newcomer. As she did so she saw the similarity to Fels, and despite MJ's warning she paused.

"He's the brother." The teenage Kara said.

"To save Alex from Haldor. I thought she'd be safe here." Frax said answering Supergirl's question.

"Who is Haldor?" Supergirl asked as she protectively clung to her daughter.

"My other brother."

"Why does he want Alex dead?"

"She complicates things for him. Prevents him getting the business."

"What are you talking about?" Supergirl asked.

"Salkor ran away from Dakran. Disappeared without a frinkly." Frax started.

"A what?" Supergirl asked.

"Frinkly, sobu hajik franj-" He started only to mutter something and head to a console. After some typing he returned.

"I'm sorry. Earth's magnetic field is very different from Dakran, many of our electronic components don't work as they should." He explained before the teenage Kara cut in.

"In other words his Babel fish keeps breaking."

"My what? Maybe it is still broken." Frax said.

"It's fine." The older Kara said. "What were you saying?"

"Salkor disappeared without a trace." Frax said.

"Why?" The older Alex asked.

"No one knows for sure. But Haldor told our parents that Salkor had killed someone and ran away. It took time but I proved he was innocent. But that didn't help find him. We paid investigators to locate him and then eventually we found out he was dead."

"What does this have to do with Alex?" Supergirl asked, keeping her daughter close to her.

"A few weeks ago a bounty hunter stormed our office and told us that Salkor had a daughter." He said.

"Lobo?" Supergirl asked.

"Yes."

"In Dakran blood is everything. Salkor as the eldest was due to inherit everything. After he disappeared and was assumed guilty of murder Haldor became first in line. When Salkor was proved innocent he once again became first in line. But then he died and Haldor once again became first in line. But blood is important and Alex is Salkor's daughter and is more important that Haldor."

"So this is a family feud?" The older Alex asked.

"In a way. But I tried to protect Alex."

"You kidnapped two kids. Right now we have to get them home. You want to discuss it further you do it on Earth." The older Alex said aware they were outnumbered and the number of people assembling in the corridor was increasing.

"But-"

"It's not negotiable." Alex said.

As J'onn landed his car outside Lena's new HQ with a hidden lab everyone got out of the car and Kara led her daughter into the lab.

"Are you sure you aren't hurt?" Alex asked her daughter again.

"I'm fine."

"I need to run some tests on Alex, do you want to stay?" Her mother went on.

"No, I'll go see Diz."

"Okay, but if anything feels wrong tell me." Alex said hugging her again.

"I'll take you." J'onn said.

-00-

"Everything looks okay." Alex said as she finished a scan on her niece. "It doesn't look like the psychic attack caused any damage. Does your head still hurt?"

"A little."

"Okay, well that's probably normal. But if it is still bad tomorrow we'll run some more tests." The adult Alex said. "For now let's get you home." She added.

The moment the teen stood Kara pulled her into a hug and asked.

"You sure you are okay?"

"Yes." The teen said hugging her back. "What's going to happen now?"

"Right now we are going to go home. The man who attacked you is locked away at the DEO, so you are safe." Kara assured her.

-00-

"Are you okay?" Diz asked when the teenage Kara entered the gym.

"I'm fine."

"What happened?" He asked leading her outside so they could talk privately.

"It's kinda a long story." Kara said knowing she couldn't tell him the truth.

"She's not a meta is she?" Diz asked. "Alex I mean. She's an alien." He said.

"What?"

"Metas have one power or powers along a theme. But Alex has her mind ones and strength and maybe others. And the man who took you today wasn't human was he? So she's an alien right?"

"Umm." Kara started to say only for Diz to ask.

"Are you an alien?"

"Would it matter?"

"No."

"Good. But you can't tell anyone about Alex.."

"Okay." He said still trying to process everything

"And mom is probably going to lecture you."

-00-

"Is everyone okay?" MJ asked when his mother entered the house.

"They're fine."

"Then where are they?"

"Alex is at her place, talking things through with her mom. And Kara went to see Diz." Alex explained before asking her son. "How are you doing?"

"I'm fine."

"Why don't we finish off the final module on your rocket?"

"I'm good." MJ said. "I'm going to game." He said walking off.

-00-

"You okay?" Kara asked as she sat next to her daughter, who was stroking Chewie, on the couch.

"My head isn't hurting so much." The teen said.

"That's good. But I meant how are you doing with everything?"

"Okay, I guess."

"Want to talk?"

"Are they going to take me away?"

"No. You aren't going anywhere." Kara said hugging her.

"I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me."

"No one is going to get hurt. I'm going to keep you and everyone else safe." Kara promised her.

"I couldn't stop it."

"Stop what?" Kara asked confused.

"Whatever he was doing to me, that psychic attack thing. I could feel him doing it, but I couldn't stop it. I couldn't do any of what J'onn told me."

"Your powers are still developing, it takes time." Kara said. "And work. When I first came out as Supergirl I kept flying into buildings. But with help from Alex and J'onn and my friends I grew stronger and learned how to control my powers. And you will too."

"What if I can't?"

"Why wouldn't you?" Kara asked. "You are strong, brave and so smart. You can do anything."

"Doesn't feel like it right now." The teen said.

"I know." Kara replied. "But I need you believe me when I tell you that no matter how you feel right now, you are able to anything you want."

"What's going to happen now? With Frax I mean."

"That's up to you." Kara said. "I'm going to see him tomorrow. Whether or not you see him again is up to you."

"You won't make me?"

"Of course not. It is your decision and I will tell Frax that."

"Do I have to decide now?"

"No. You can take as long as you want." Kara said. "Do you want to talk it through?"

"Not right now."

"Okay. So what do you want to do?"

"Can we go to MJ's?"

"Sure."

-00-

"Mind if we hang out here?" Kara asked as she entered Alex's house with her daughter a little while later.

"Of course not." Her sister said surprised to see them. She then looked at her niece and said. "MJ is upstairs if you want to see him."

"Thanks." She said walking off leaving the two sisters alone.

"Everything okay?" The older Alex asked her sister.

"I guess."

"How is Alex doing?"

"She's doing that silent frowning thing she does when she is thinking about stuff." Kara said. "She said she is okay, but it's a lot to take in."

"And you?"

"Scared. What if Haldor isn't the only one after her?"

"We'll protect her." Alex assured her.

"It's not just the Dakrans though."

"Lobo?" Alex guessed.

"Yes. He told them about Alex clearly hoping they'd do something. If we have thwarted them, does that just mean Lobo will try something else, or will he come here in person again?"

"Whatever happens, we will keep Alex safe." Her sister promised, pulling her in for a hug just as the front door opened and shut before the teenage Kara emerged.

On seeing her mother she was about to speak when suddenly her aunt moved at Super speed and pulled her in for a hug as she said.

"Thank you."

"For what?" The teen asked confused.

"Alex told me how you looked after her."

"Sure." The teen said before asking. "Is she okay?"

"Yeah, she's upstairs gaming with MJ."

"Good, because we need to talk." The teen said.

"What's up?" Her mother said frowning.

"Diz was there when Frax showed up."

"We know. Is he okay?" The older Kara asked.

"Yeah, but he figured out Alex was an alien. He's not going to say anything and I think he thinks it is just Alex who is the alien. Seeing he got that far I have no idea how he didn't put all the pieces together, but he is still clueless on you." She finished looking at her aunt.
