Jennifer Baratta - Hopefully things start to become clearer.

As Kara sat in the lounge trying to write an article her phone rang. Seeing the caller ID she answered.

"Hey, you coming back soon?"

"Kara." Alex said over the phone, her voice slurred. "Need you."

"Where are you?"

"Don't know. It's dark. Hurts so much."

"I'm coming." Kara said. "Just hold on." She said running up stairs.

"Sorry guys, I need to go to work." Kara said to the teens, she then looked at her daughter and said. "It sounds like it might take awhile. Can you stay here tonight?"

"Sure." The teen said before Kara jogged back downstairs.

"I need to know where you are." Kara said on the phone.

"Don't know. Dark. Tried to stop it, but tree moved so fast."

"Can you activate your beacon?"

"Beacon?" Alex asked before muttering. "Stupid beacon." After a few moments Kara heard the noise and flew towards her sister.

"Alex?" She called as she landed in front of her sister who was sat leaning against a tree in the rain.

"Hey!" Alex said.

As Kara moved closer she saw blood streaming down her sister's face.

"You're hurt. What happened?" Kara asked crouching down in front of her. As she did she smelt the alcohol.

"Have you been drinking?"

"No. Yes. Not my fault."

"Let's get you somewhere safe." Kara said scooping up her sister and flying her to Lena's lab.

"What happened?" J'onn asked as he entered Lena's lab.

"I don't know exactly. I got a call from Alex. I found her slumped against a tree hurt. I'm pretty sure she was drunk." Kara explained.

"She was. Her blood alcohol levels are through the roof." Lena said approaching them.

"Only Alex doesn't drink." Kara pointed out.

"She has been under a lot of stress recently." J'onn said. "And she has been staying out late."

"You think she has been drinking in the evenings?" Kara asked.

"I hope not, but it is a possibility." J'onn said.

"I don't think you are right." Lena said. "I found Alex in my lab running scans. She told me she had been having headaches. None of the scans came back with anything sinister. But I ran her bloods and there was no alcohol in her system."

"Alcohol to one side, what else is wrong with her?" J'onn asked.

"She has a broken wrist, bruised ribs and a head wound. All consistent with a car crash. All in all she was very lucky." Lena said as Alex started groaning on the bed.

"Alex?" Kara called.

"Kara?" Alex asked opening her eyes, only to find the light blinding and shutting them again.

"Do you remember anything?" Kara asked.

"No. It's all really fuzzy." Alex said. "What happened?"

"We think you were in a car crash." Kara said. "You were over the limit."

"How fast?" Alex asked.

"The alcohol limit." Kara corrected.

"What?" Alex asked confused.

"Can you tell us what happened?" J'onn asked.

"No, can't remember anything." Alex said, her voice slightly slurred.

"You don't remember drinking?" J'onn pressed.

"I don't drink."

"What about the crash?" J'onn probed.

"Crash?" Alex asked confused before becoming more alert and asking. "The kids?"

"They're fine. They weren't with you." Kara assured her.

"Anyone else hurt?" Alex asked.

"We don't know."

"Then read my mind." Alex said looking at J'onn. "If I hurt someone they may need help."

"You sure?" J'onn asked.

"Yes."

"Just relax." J'onn said as he placed his hands on Alex's face and started to scan her mind. After a few minutes he stepped back looking slightly shaken.

"Well?" Kara asked. "What's wrong?"

"She was kidnapped and forced to drink." J'onn said.

"By who?" Kara questioned.

"I don't know. Alex's vision was too blurry. I couldn't see them properly."

"Anyone hurt?" Alex asked.

"Just a tree." J'onn assured her.

"You okay?" Diz asked entering the house where trio of teens were sitting looking stressed.

"I don't know. Something happened, but no one is telling us anything." The teen Kara said.

"What do you mean something?"

"Mom and aunt Kara didn't come home last night and neither of them are answering their phones." Kara said as the doorbell rang.

Opening the door the teenage Kara saw a man she didn't recognise who said.

"I'm looking for Alex Danvers." The man said.

"Who are you?"

"Detective Blake." He said.

"You have a badge?" Diz asked standing behind Kara.

"Of course." The man said moving his jacket to one side, revealing the shield.

"She's not here." The teenage Kara said.

"Where is she?" The man asked.

"Work I think. What's going on?"

"And you are?"

"Kara Danvers."

"Daughter?" He guessed.

"Yes. What's going on?"

"Your mother's car was found this morning, in a bad state. There was an empty bottle of whiskey in the car. But no driver. However, whoever had been driving was clearly hurt. So we need to find out who that was."

"Mom doesn't drink." The teenage Kara said.

"I'm just telling you what we found." He said.

"What's your badge number?" The teenage Alex asked joining them.

"25978." He said.

"Not what your badge says." The teenage Alex pointed out as Diz stepped in front of Kara acting as a shield.

"Who are you?" Diz asked.

"Detective Blake, I clearly picked up my partner's badge. Here is my card, let me know when your mom comes back." He said walking off.

"What's going on?" MJ asked as Diz shut the door.

"I don't know, but we need to talk to Aunt Kara." The teenage Kara said taking out her phone and once again trying to reach her aunt.

After what felt like an eternity the older Kara entered the house and was met by a barrage of questions.

"Slow down." She said over the din.

"Where's mom? Was she in a car accident?" The teenage Kara asked.

"Yes she was." Kara said wondering how she knew.

"Is she okay?"

"Yes, she has a few injuries, but she is okay."

"Was she drunk?" The teenage Kara asked.

"Why would you think that?" The older Kara asked confused.

"A shady cop turned up looking for mom." MJ said. "He told us the driver was drunk."

"But he didn't know his badge number." Alex pointed out.

"Was she drunk?" The teenage Kara pressed.

"Yes, but it wasn't her fault." The older Kara said.

"Someone forced her to drink?" The teen asked with an undertone of sarcasm.

"Yes." Kara confirmed.

"Why would anyone do that?"

"That's what we are trying to figure out. But J'onn probed her memories and she was forced to drink. A lot. Then she was put behind the wheel."

"Where is she now?" MJ asked.

"She's in Midvale."

"Why isn't she in hospital?" The teenage Kara jumped in.

"Her injuries weren't that bad." Kara explained. "And you know your mom is a bad patient."

"I want to see her." The younger Kara said.

"Right now your mom is sleeping and that is what she needs." The older Kara said. "I promise you she is okay and we will figure out what happened. For now I just need you to be patient. And to tell me about the cop."

As the older Kara called J'onn to fill her in on what the kids had told her, the teenage Kara grabbed Diz's hand and led him out of the house.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, but I need you to drive me somewhere."

"Where are we going?" Diz asked.

"Midvale."

"Before you do that, we need to talk." The older Kara said appearing as if from no where. She then looked at Diz and said. "Can you give us a minute?"

"Sure. I'll go sit in the car."

"Why don't you wait inside the house?" The older Kara suggested before watching Diz go inside.

"Were you listening to us?" The teenage Kara asked her aunt.

"No. Not exactly. Just to find you."

"You can't stop me going." The teen said.

"The reason your mom is in Midvale is because she needs to recover and she doesn't want you guys to see her like she is at the moment. She is worried seeing her like that is going to give MJ flashbacks to when you were in hospital. But also she is doing that thing you do when you are hurt or scared and shutting herself off from the people she loves."

"All the more reason for me to see her." The teen pressed.

"I agree."

"You do?" The teen asked surprised.

"Yes." Her aunt nodded. "If you want to see her, I will take you to Midvale."

"Alex please sit down." Eliza said as her eldest paced the room. "You need to rest."

"I'm fine."

"No you're not."

"Sitting isn't helping me remember anything. What was that?" Alex asked hearing a door shut in the kitchen.

"I don't know." Eliza said standing just as the teenage Kara entered the lounge.

"Mom." The teenage Kara greeted before hugging her mother.

"Kara? What are you doing here?" Alex asked trying to ignore the pain in her ribs.

"Where else would I be?" The teen asked pulling away and looking at her mother's bruised and stitched face.

"I'm okay." Alex assured her before seeing her sister in the door way and raised a questioning eye brow at her.

"I need to get back to MJ and Alex. I'll see you later." The older Kara said before disappearing.

"Where's Kar?" Diz asked when the older Kara entered the house a few minutes later.

"Midvale."

"How?"

"I fl- asked Supergirl to fly her." Kara explained.

"Why didn't you, she, take me?" MJ asked.

"I didn't think you wanted to go. I thought it'd bring back too many memories for you." Kara said. "But if you want to go I'll take you. You don't have to decide now though." She paused and looked round the room. "Right now the best way for me to help your mom is to figure out what happened. So I need to go to the DEO."

"What do we do?"

"I need you to stay here. It won't be for long. Diz, can you stay here?"

"Sure."

"I don't need a babysitter." MJ argued.

"I know. But Diz's powers might help protect you. And if any police show up let me know." Kara said.
