Welcome back to Uncharted: Beyond Realms! Last time, we got a brief glimpse into how things are going to go, but beyond that, things were pretty standard, with the Drakes finishing up their taxes and planning to go on vacation to the Dragon Realms. So, how's the plan going? Read on to discover...

(Our story resumes on a beach somewhere, where an older gentleman is sitting on a dock in a beach chair with a sea plane nearby. Before long, there's two shadows approaching him. The man immediately recognizes the two, and pulls up his sunglasses, getting up from his chair to face the two)

Sully: Well, this is an unexpected visit. Welcome, but unexpected.

Nathan Drake: Good to see you too, Sully.

Sully: Been a while since I heard from you two. How's New Orleans?

Nathan Drake: So far, nothing against it.

Sully: So, what adventure are you two planning this time? Looking for Atlantis or something?

Elena: No adventure this time. Fingers crossed.

Nathan Drake: We're just planning a vacation.

Sully: Let me guess, you need transport and think I can save you a buck or two.

Nathan Drake: I never could pull anything on you.

Sully: Normally I'd tell you to rave on. But... I've been thinking of getting out of the country for a few days. How long are you planning and where?

Elena: (Realizes what's up, with a sarcastic eye roll) What scam are you trying to hide from this time?

Sully: (Chuckles, realizing he's busted) You got me. Just being a little proactive this time. Let's just say an old Naval buddy I sold some old bronze pieces to is in town, and he just realized they were fakes.

Nathan Drake: And he remembers that was on you.

Sully: Not sure. Heard he's developed some dementia. I'd rather not take chances. So, I'll ask again, where are we headed this time?

Nathan Drake: Dragon Realms. 10 days in one of the most peaceful nations on Earth.

Sully: Sounds like a good time. I'm in. But I'm not just staying on the docks.

Elena: Way ahead of you, Sully.

Sully: I knew there was a reason I liked you two. I'll get the flight plan drawn up and we'll be on our way. Best seaport to land at is Warfang. Mostly since it's kind of the only one to land at.

(Fast forward a couple of hours, most likely to the next day, and a familiar bright red seaplane is coming in for a landing in Warfang's harbor. Fast forward to customs, and the officer at the port giving Nathan Drake a glance of moderate recognition without being sure of where they know him from, and the three are on Warfang's cobblestone streets, surrounded by dragons towering over them.)

Sully: Suddenly I get what it's like to be a Munchkin.

Nathan Drake: Just be careful not to be stepped on.

(A few hours later, after checking into the hotel and dropping off their bags, and the group is out on the coastline, setting up shop in the golden sands)

Sully: Now this is a coastline! A guy could really get used to this.

Nathan Drake: Well, everybody, we're officially on vacation. So what's the agenda?

Elena: We've got dinner reservations at 5. (Checks her watch) It's 3 now, and the restaurant's about 15 minutes into town, we'll want to head there at no later than 4:30. Gives us about 90 minutes to explore the city a bit.

Sully: You two can explore all you want. I'm headed to the beach. Catch up with you later.

Nathan Drake: See you in a bit then, Sully. (To Elena) Well then, shall we?

Elena: Let's.

(After walking through the city for a few hours, we catch up with the Drakes at an antique shop near Warfang's city center, where the two browse the unique tresures. Within mere moments, Nathan Drake spots two unique looking objects. A pair of pendants: one green and one blue, and each with a piece of rosy glass in the center. For some reason, these catch Nathan Drake's eye)

Nathan Drake: (To the shopkeeper) So what's the story on the pendants?

Shopkeeper: (Looks at the pendants) Those two? Nobody's really sure. Stories say they were in possession of two ancient warriors: lovers actually. Each matched the color of the other's scales so they would never be apart from one another. There's no real way to verify that story though.

Nathan Drake: (Thinks about it, looks back to Elena, then to the shopkeeper) I'll take them. How much?

Shopkeeper: Well, since I can't trace their backstory beyond the guy I got them from, I'll give them to you at a discount. 20 coins each.

Nathan Drake: Each? (Checks his wallet) I've got 30 total, and I'm assuming you don't take card.

Shopkeeper: Tell you what, since I can tell you're doing this as a surprise for your lady friend over there, I'll cut you some slack. 10 coins each.

Nathan Drakes: (Plunks down the coins) Thanks man.

Shopkeeper: No worries.

(With that, Nathan Drake takes the pendants, picks the blue one for himself and hides the green one behind his back and then walks up to Elena)

Elena: (Knowing what he's doing) Please tell me you didn't find a treasure map.

Nathan Drake: No such luck. (Holds out the pendant) But I did find these. Supposedly an ancient pair of lovers had these made for each other.

Elena: Nate, it's beautiful. (Takes it from his hand and puts it around her neck) Thank you.

Nathan Drake: I try.

(With that, we shift location to the beach, where Sully is walking by a seashore jewelry stand, where a glint catches his eye, a yellow pendant with a piece of rosy glass in it)

Sully: (Gesturing to the pendant) Hey pal, how much for this?

Merchant: That old thing? I've been trying to sell that since the war ended, but no luck. As far as I know, the damn thing's cursed. But hey, if you want it, 5 coins.

Sully: (Puts down the coins) Deal. (Grabs the pendant as the merchant takes his coins) Pleasure doing business with you.

Merchant: But seriously buddy, I'd be wary of wearing that thing. There's something not right about it.

Sully: Please. I've seen cursed crap before. This is nothing.

(Fast forward a few minutes, it's 4:15, and the Drakes have just met back up with Sully on a cross-street)

Sully: (Noticing their pendants) Huh, guess I wasn't the only one finding a bargain.

Elena: You found one of these two?

Sully: Yeah, some guy was selling them on the shore. Claims it's cursed.

Nathan Drake: (Holds up his for comparison) Huh. Looks exactly like the ones I found. Guess that shopkeeper's story was bunk after all.

Elena: They're still a nice find though. It's a conversation starter. (Checks her watch) We've got to get moving if we're going to make our reservation.

Nathan Drake: Then let's go. Time to see if the cuisine's as good as they say.

(And as the three walk off towards the restaurant, a familiar pair of shadows emerge behind them, belonging to two dragons: one violet and one ebony)

Spyro: At long last, we've found them.

Cynder: Now we've just got to get the pendants from them.

(At this point, Spyro holds up something around his neck, a pendant just like the ones the Drakes and Sully wear, but red in color)

Spyro: If we're to fulfill the Guardians' last wishes, we had better.

(And as Spyro and Cynder head in after Nathan Drake and company, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for today. So, it looks like these pendants are pretty important after all, even if the stories around them are bull. But that begs the question: Will Spyro and Cynder be friend or foe to Nathan Drake? Tune in next time to find out. Same time... same channel!
