"Don't wait too long before your next visit." Alura said as she hugged Kara.
"I won't." Kara said. "We'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too." Alura said. "Remember, if you ever need a break, you always have a home on Argo."
"I know." Kara said holding onto her mother. Finally Alura pulled back and said. "Make sure you listen to your sister."
"I will." Kara said before watching Alura disappear through the portal.
"You okay?" The older Alex asked her sister as she walked up to her.
"I just hate goodbyes."
"Want to go for a burger?"
"No."
"Then doughnuts it is." Alex said.
"Don't you have an invasion to plan for?" Kara asked.
"Yes, but part of that is making sure you are in top condition." Alex argued.
"At the risk of sounding like Alex, you think doughnuts will do that?"
"If you really want a carrot stick you can." Her sister said.
"I'll take a doughnut." Kara said as she followed Alex out of the DEO.
"That's the spirit." Alex said. "So what else is bothering you?"
"I'm just scared he is still in me, ready to take control. And now mom is gone who would stop me?"
"We've got you." Alex said. "And if I saw any hint that you weren't you I would lock you up before Worldkiller-1 had a chance to come out."
"Thank you." Kara said.
"Want to do something later?" Alex asked as they walked to the cafe. "We are overdue a sisters' night."
"As much as I'd love that. I need to spend time with Alex. I have a lot to make up for."
"What happened wasn't your fault." Alex reminded her.
"I don't think I will ever believe that." Kara said as Alex placed the order.
"I know it is hard, but you need to go easy on yourself." Alex said paying for the order before the pair moved further down the counter to pick up the order.
"Easier said than done." Kara said miserably.
"I know." Alex said picking up the tray before walking Kara to a table. "Has Alex said anything."
"That it wasn't my fault. But she is still having nightmares. And that's on me." Kara said biting into a doughnut.
"Alex is okay. Also if she thinks anything is off she will tell us." The older Alex said.
"Yes she will." Kara agreed.
"How are your nightmares?"
"If they are actual memories do they count as nightmares?" Kara asked.
"You haven't had enough sugar to have such a deep conversation." Alex said.
"Maybe." Kara said before asking. "How are you doing?"
"With what?"
"What happened to the minibus Kara was in."
"It gnaws at me, but right now there are so many bigger things to worry about. And stop deflecting."
"I'm not, I was checking up on you."
"Mom is already doing that." Alex assured her. "You need to worry about you."
"No, I need to worry about Alex."
"I get that, but if you stress yourself out Alex will pick up on that."
"I know." Kara sighed. "But I just want her to be happy and have a normal life."
"And that will be much easier when you have forgiven yourself." Alex countered. Knowing not to push further she asked. "So what are you and Alex doing tonight?"
"I thought I'd pick her up from school, then maybe go down to the pier and get some food, maybe go on a boat ride."
"Sounds nice." Alex said.
"I hope so. Can you look after Chewie?"
"Of course. And don't worry, there will be no emergencies."
"How can you be so sure."
"Let me rephrase, no emergencies that require Supergirl."
"Again, how can you be so sure?"
"The new meta squad are on patrol." Alex said before noticing her sister suddenly pale. "What's wrong?"
"It was me wasn't it?"
"What was?" Alex asked confused.
"The spiders. It was me who ripped them to pieces."
"Do you remember?"
"Not exactly. I remember there were so many of them and even with the help I couldn't stop them. I remember wanting more power and then it's flashes of violence until you showed up."
"What happened wasn't you it was Worldkiller-1." Alex said. "Besides, you saved Kara."
"I know and I wouldn't change that. But what I did, I never thought I was capable of that."
"And you still aren't. You were taken over." Alex said. "Just like during Myriad and I tried to kill you."
"That was Non not you."
"My body." Alex said. "It's the same thing. Are you telling me you hold me responsible?"
"Of course not."
"Then don't hold yourself to different standards." Alex said.
"Said the kettle to the pot." Kara scoffed as she took another doughnut. "So how are things going with Diz?"
"Wow you really are avoiding talking about this." Alex said.
"I'm not. Not exactly. But can't we talk about normal stuff?" Kara said. "And I really am interested in how things are going. I mean I haven't seen Diz in like a day. Is he even still alive?"
"He's fine. Although he may be a little scared of me."
"You think?" Kara asked.
"I've not made any threats in days." Alex pointed out.

"Kara. How are you? How is Alex?" Steve asked as he saw her by the school.
"Steve. Hi." Kara said turning. "We're okay thanks. Thank you for every thing you did for Alex."
"You don't have to thank me for that. Are you sure she is okay?" Before she could answer Alex and Martin approached the pair.
"Hi mom." Alex said hugging her mother.
"Hi. Everything okay?" Kara asked.
"It's fine." She said before looking over at Steve and said, without making eye contact. "Hi."
"Hi Alex." Steve said before asking. "If you guys aren't doing anything, do you want to grab a coffee?"
"Okay." Kara agreed before they walked over the coffee shop.
"Martin, why don't you get the order in?" Steve suggested, passing him his credit card.
"Umm, sure." He said walking to the counter as the rest of the group sat down.
Checking his nephew wasn't in ear shot Steve looked at Alex and asked.
"How are you doing?"
"I'm fine. Thank you for helping me. I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble." She said still avoiding looking directly at him.
"Don't worry about it." Steve said. "I just want to make sure you are okay. You looked pretty upset."
"She um-" Kara started only for Alex to jump in.
"Nightmares."
"What?" Steve asked.
"I get really bad nightmares. Sometimes I sleep walk, well run. That's when you found me."
"They sound more like night terrors. A colleague of mine runs a sleep clinic, I'm sure I can get you an appointment." He offered.
"I'm seeing one of Eliza's old colleagues." Alex went on, worrying Kara with how easily she was lying.
"Well, if I can do anything to help let me know." He smiled.
"Thanks." She said as Martin returned with a large tray.
"Thanks bud." Steve smiled as he helped unload the tray. Once everyone had a drink and a cake he said. "So I had a grateful patient who gave me some tickets for a show in a few weeks. Want to go? I am sure Martin would appreciate Alex there to dilute me."
"Okay." Alex agreed immediately thinking her mother might like it.
"You know I haven't said what the show is yet?" Steve said.
"I was guessing one of those musicals you two like." The teenage Alex said.
"Wrong, They are tickets for the Great Giabaldi." Steve said.
"I don't know that one." Kara confessed.
"That's not a show, it's a person. The greatest magician since Houdini. Well according to the flyer anyway. But there is food." Steve said.
"I appreciate the offer but-"
"You don't like magic?"
"I like magic, but I'm not sure I'd be good company." Kara said.
"I can't believe that. But if it were true we could volunteer you to be sawn in half."
"What?" Alex asked frowning. "Last week you tried to buy her, now you want to cut her in half?"
"I do not come across well." Steve said.
"It's magic trick." Kara explained.
"You've never seen a magic show?" Steve asked Alex.
"No. Well, Martin's tricks, but he hasn't tried cutting anything in half."
"Well then you are in for a real treat." He said as Martin sat behind him shaking his head.

"You okay?" Kara asked as she and her daughter walked round the pier.
"Sure."
"I'm sorry you had to lie like that." Kara said.
"What do you mean?"
"To Steve." Kara clarified.
"It's fine."
"No it's not. I know you hate keeping things from Martin." Kara said.
"I do." Alex agreed. "But I understand why I have to."
"You have been through a lot and friends and family can help you get through it." Kara said.
"They are." Alex said. "I mean Kara and MJ have been great. And in some ways Martin not knowing is easier. I mean when I talk to him we can just focus on normal stuff. Well normal for humans stuff. Besides a lot of the other stuff, only you get it anyway." The teen said.
"Are you happy?" Kara asked.
"Not exactly." The teen said stopping and facing her mother. "I mean I am on Earth. But I just want you to be okay and while you're not I don't think I can be happy."
"Come here." Kara said hugging her.
