"Frax? What are you doing here?" Alex asked when he was shown into her office by Ruby.
"You have a problem. I have found them." He said. "And there are many. Many, many, many. I admit I have never faced an invasion, but their numbers are vast. More than I imagined, but maybe it is normal. Like I said this is my first invasion."
"Frax, slow down." Alex said. "What's going on?"
"Kara asked me to search for the Diasporans and I found them. You need to see this, but I don't know how to get you the information." He said pacing. "But I have holocube. It shows you the extent, but I have far more information." He said putting the cube on the desk. Moments later the earth was projected into the room moments before several dots appeared on it and round it. "I am assuming this is their fleet, but it is at the limit of my sensors so there could be more." He explained before waiving his hands and interacting with the Earth's projection. "But these ones are here already." He said pointing to red dots on the globe. "In total there are one thousand six hundred and seventeen on Earth. They seem to be in hubs all round the globe."
"Thank you for this." Alex said. "I don't want to be rude, but I have to deal with this now."
"Of course." He nodded.
"I'll show you out." Ruby said leading him out of Alex's office. As they walked down the corridor he said to Ruby. "I am not a soldier and I have never fought in my life. But if I can help in any way please tell Alex she just needs to ask."
"I will." Ruby said.

"What's going on?" Supergirl asked flying into the room.
"Frax just delivered some intelligence. And it's bad."
"How bad?" Supergirl asked causing Alex to point at the holographic projection.
"Any chance those red dots are a secret army wanting to help us?" Supergirl asked.
"No."
"Why didn't you see them before? I mean I thought you had fixed the planetary defensive net thing."
"We have. We think they are cloaked. Which your mother did warn us about."
"Didn't she also say how you can see through the cloaks?"
"Yes, but unfortunately we don't have that type of technology." Alex said. "But the good news is we know where they are and we know how to take them out. If we have enough time. But for now it isn't the ones in space I am worried about. It's these ones." Alex said manipulating the hologram so it focused on the Earth.
"That's a lot of dots." Kara said.
"Yes it is and they are in hubs. The President is sharing the intel with other nations but in the main land US there are two hubs and one in Hawaii."
"You aren't going to be sending me to Hawaii are you?" Supergirl guessed.
"No, we'll be able to use satellites on it. I want you to look at this one." She said pointing.
"Why do I never get to go tropical paradises?" Kara complained as she saw where Alex was pointing.
"Ma'am, we have a problem." Rose said entering the office.
"Bigger than an impending invasion?" Alex asked.
"Maybe connected to."
"What is it?" Alex asked.
"Do you remember how our planetary defence was sabotaged?"
"Kinda hard to forget." Alex said.
"We have identified exactly when it occurred and I have the radar data from that day."
"And?"
"Watch this." He said as he sent a video to the screen showing, what to Kara, looked like mist appearing.
"Why haven't we seen this before?" Alex asked frowning.
"We get the processed data shipped here. At the ground station though they get everything. Normally we get more in slower time, but due to the sabotage we didn't. However, we know whoever sabotaged it was there in person, so will have seen it."
"Those of us who don't see the world as the Matrix. What am I looking at?" Supergirl asked.
"This is the fused data from the early warning system." Alex said. "This area is where we know the Diasporans' fleet is." Alex said pointing to the patch covered in mist.
"So you can see them? I thought they were cloaked?" Supergirl said still confused.
"They are and we can't now. But when they came into orbit they had to slow from relativistic speeds to orbital speeds. And that causes, put simply, warping and heat. Something their cloak system can't hide."
"So that smear is them?"
"I think so." Rose said.
"Not wanting to belittle all the work you put into this, seeing we know they are there why does it matter?" Supergirl asked.
"Because whoever sabotaged the ground station knew what was coming and helped covered their tracks."
"What?" Alex asked.
"That fused map triggered the automatic warning system. Only the warning never got out. Because that link had been cut. However, at the ground station it would have been obvious."
"Do you think they are helping the Diasporans?" Supergirl asked.
"I don't know. It could be a coincidence. But whoever did it clearly doesn't care about invasion or wants invasion." Rose said.
"Are we sure the ground stations are secure?" Alex asked.
"Yes ma'am."
"Make sure they stay that way. And I want you to work work Frax so we get as near real time intelligence as possible."
"Yes ma'am." Rose said leaving.
"So you want me to go to Alaska?" Kara asked.
"Yes. No. I'm an idiot. It's a trap and so obvious. Why didn't I see it?" Alex asked looking at the globe.
"What are you talking about?"
"It's December." Alex said.
"I know."
"So what does a lot of Alaska not have in December?"
"Warmth."
"Sun." Alex said. "They want you there, without the sun."
"Okay, well my suit can give me a boost." Kara pointed out.
"You're not going." Alex said firmly. "We'll wait until the satellites have moved into position."
"How long will that take?"
"A few hours." Alex said.
"That's a long time."
"Yes it is. But there is something you can do, but I need you to do it fast and not stop."
"I can do that." Kara said.
"Come with me." Alex said standing and leading her to a lab. As they entered she asked. "Are they ready?"
"Yes ma'am." An Agent said pointing to a workbench where there were several boxes.
"These are our latest remote autonomous drones." Alex said.
"The Jetsons." Supergirl said.
"What?" Alex asked.
"This squad is the Jetsons. There's George, Jane, Elroy, Judy, Astro, Rosey-"
"We get the idea." Alex said. "How do you even remember all that?"
"You made me watch the reruns after I got to Earth." Supergirl pointed out. "Where do you want me to drop them?"
"One over each red blob. But I mean it, do not stop. No matter what. Don't get to close. Just drop them, they are deigned to survive very large drops. Once they land we can control them from here."
"Got it." She said picking up the boxes and flying off.
"Get the feeds showing in the control room." Alex ordered the DEO Agent.
"Already done." He said.
"Good." Alex said. "Let's go see what they are seeing." She said walking out of the lab and to the main control area.
"Anything?" She asked Vasquez.
"So far it all looks pretty dead at the sites which we can see with satellites. Which probably meand they are below ground." Vasquez said.
"The Jetsons' squad is starting to transmit." The other Agent said.
"The what squad?" Vasquez asked.
"The drones. Supergirl has named them after the Jetsons." Alex explained as the younger Agents asked each other what the Jetsons were. "She is dropping them off at each hub and then coming back here, I hope." Alex went on just as Supergirl landed by her side.
"All done."
"Any problems?"
"No." Supergirl replied. "You sure those coordinates were right because they all looked really quiet?"
"We think they are below ground.
"So what now?"
"We wait." Alex said. "It will take a while for the Jetsons to burrow down and then after that even longer to have enough intel to figure out what is going on."
"I don't like waiting." Supergirl said.
"I know. That is why I have training planned. Can you fly us to the desert base?"
"Sure."
-00-
"Okay." Alex said. "This room is your personal training area. If for any reason you lose control you can't escape. So feel free to let rip."
"Are you sure?"
"I could take you through every defence I have set up, or you can start training." Alex said. "Seeing we are about to be invaded, I'd prefer you to just train."
"Okay." Kara said.
"Good. In which case I'll wait outside and control what is about to come your way." Alex replied leaving. But after a few minutes of watching her sister half heartily fight a couple of robots she ended the training and came back in.
"What the hell was that?"
"What?" Kara asked.
"MJ puts more effort in with his homework than you did there." Alex said. "There is no point in training like this. Why are you holding back?"
"I don't want to lose control."
"Kara, no matter what happens in here you are contained. This is the safest place to lose control. And if you are going to lose control isn't it better to lose control here and now, rather than next week in front of Alex?" She paused and then said. "You aren't leaving here until I think you are trying. So either take this seriously or get ready for a long stay." Alex said leaving the room and sealing the door before starting the next simulation.

"What's wrong with mom?" The teenage Alex asked when J'onn carried her unconscious mother into the apartment and put her on the bed.
"Training tired her out." Her aunt explained. "But she is okay."
"She's not normally like that after training." The teen frowned.
"Well I may have gone a little hard on her." Her aunt explained.
"Has she solar flared?"
"No." The older Alex said. "I promise you she is okay. She just needs rest." She then looked at her niece and asked. "Have you eaten yet?"
"Yes, I had dinner with the others."
"Good." Alex replied. "Well, J'onn is going to stay here tonight and I will be over the road if you need anything."
"That doesn't sound like mom is okay." The teen said.
"She may be a little ticked with me, but other than that she is fine." Her aunt promised her. "I'll see you tomorrow." She added before leaving.
"Seeing it is just us, why don't we work on your powers?" J'onn asked.
"You sure mom is okay?" The teen asked doubting her aunt.
"She is fine." J'onn smiled. "And I have thought of a good practice for you tonight."
"What?"
"Mind chess. It is normal chess, but you can only move pieces with your mind."
