"You guys doing okay?" Eliza asked entering the room the four teens were impatiently waiting in.

"Sure." MJ said.

"They will be okay." Eliza said.

"You don't know that." MJ countered.

"I know you are scared. But your mothers have faced invasions before and have been okay." She reminded them.

"Barely." The teenage Alex muttered.

"You can sit round here worrying or you can do something to pass the time? Why don't you play some games?" Eliza suggested.

"Having fun right now seems wrong." The teenage Alex said.

"Well, then why not train?" Eliza suggested.

"Really?" MJ asked.

"Sure, but not too much. And I don't want any injuries." Elia said.

"I can teach you some new moves." Diz offered to MJ.

"Okay." MJ said sounding more lively, before heading towards a different room, followed by Alex and Kara. As Diz walked past Eliza she quietly said.

"Thank you." With that she headed back to the lab where Lena was working.

"How are the kids?" Lena asked.

"Demonstrating their lack of patience." Eliza said. "And I can't blame them."

"And, how are you doing?"

"You'd think I'd be used to it by now." Eliza replied.

As Supergirl fought another wave of reptiles her sister came on the radio.

"How are you doing?"

"I'm surrounded by Kryptonite gas, being attached my giant lizards with green pointy spikes." Supergirl said dodging one attack and punching the oversized reptile to the ground.

"Your suit should keep you safe." Alex reminded her.

"It's taken a lot of damage and I can still feel the effects." Kara said. "And I only have twenty minutes of oxygen left."

"Do you need backup?"

"I can handle it. You have bigger problems." Supergirl said as she faced the next onslaught. "Gotta go." She said killing the link so she could focus on the attack.

"We have another problem." Vasquez said as she approached Alex.

"What?" Alex asked before following Vasquez to the central area, where everyone was looking at a screen.

"We have finished going through all the data the Jetsons collected before they were killed, well deactivated, and we think it is a more complex problem than we thought. We can't be certain, but we think each of the bombs are part of a network, each acting as a deadman's switch. Remove one and the others blow."

"So we need to remove them all at the same time?" Alex asked.

"Yes."

"What if we teleported them?" Alex asked Frax.

"The system can only do point to ship."

"So it would destroy your ship?"

"Yes, but that isn't the issue. It can do a point. It could only get one."

"So that won't work. Instead we need several teams each with speed and precision." Alex said.

"I can give you both of those." Barry said skidding to a stop in front of Alex.

"Barry? What are you doing here?" Alex asked confused.

"I saw the news."

"What news?" Alex asked confused.

"The Dia- Dio- the big reptiles are broadcasting the fight." Barry said. "Something to do with destroying Earth's saviour then killing every human. So I thought you could use some help."

"Thanks." Alex said. "We need all the help we can get."

"I assume there are bigger issues than what Supergirl is facing?" Barry asked.

"Yes. There are seven bombs distributed round the world, big enough to cause long lasting and major problems for the globe. We need to remove them all at the same time."

"Okay, well there is me and J'onn and Superman?" He guessed.

"Yes, But that leaves us four short."

"What about the new meta squad?" J'onn asked.

"Three are viable for this." Alex replied after some thinking.

"So down to one." J'onn said. "Which brings the teleport into play."

"Maybe not." Frax said before asking. "How precise does this need to be?

"Hard to know for sure, but I'd guess sub second." Vasquez said.

"The teleport has a larger timing error than that. But I can still help." Frax said. "Nothing is faster than the mind."

"What do you mean?" Barry asked.

"I'm a telepath. I can deactivate it or move it with my thoughts."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Alex asked.

"Of course."

"There's a good chance you won't make it out." Alex warned.

"I know." He said, the fear obvious in his eyes.

"Okay. Each squad will be made of ten. One to disarm and nine to make sure the disposal unit gets to the bomb." Alex ordered.

"On it." Vasquez said.

"Ma'am." Harris said walking over. "You asked me to tell you if Supergirl was in trouble."

"How bad?" Alex asked looking over to him.

"Bad."

"We've got the bombs." J'onn said leading the team off as Alex went to the screen where her sister's plight was on full display.

"What's going on?" Eliza asked as a light started to flash.

"Someone is trying to break in." Lena said pulling up security footage. As the image came on screen she said, while staring at Lobo. "This isn't good."

"How confident are you that this place is safe?" Eliza asked.

"Against him, not at all." Lena said. "But this is a layered approach, so there is one room safer than the others, you should move the kids there. At the very least it will buy them more time."

"What are you going to do?" Eliza asked.

"After Frax managed to just teleport in here I upgraded security. Now I am trying to downgrade it so he can teleport the kids out."

"I'll be back soon." Eliza said hurrying to the room the kids were waiting in.

"What's wrong?" The teenage Kara asked, immediately picking up on her grandmother's agitation as Eliza entered the room

"Lobo is trying to break in, we need to move you somewhere safer." Eliza said.

"I thought this was the safest place." MJ said.

"There is a safer room." Eliza said. "Let's move." She added guiding them to the room Lena had identified. Once they were inside she said. "I need you to stay here." She then looked at the teenage Alex and added. "And you, no matter what happens do not go to Lobo and do not give him what he wants."

"Aren't you staying with us?" The teenage Kara asked.

"I need to help Lena." Eliza said before hugging each of her grandchildren. She then stepped out of the room and added. "I'll see you soon." As the door slid shut, locking the children inside, she closed her eyes and composed herself before heading back to Lena.

"Any luck?" Eliza asked.

"I need more time." Lena said as another alarm went off. "Damn it we've been breached."

"I can't get any signal on my phone." Eliza commented.

"All networks seem to be down." Lena said.

"So we are on our own?" Eliza guessed. "Where are the weapons?"

"There is a keypad on the wall, use code 876-987-980-213-823." Lena instructed as she typed at a keyboard. "Although that should hold him for a bit."

"What did you do?" Eliza asked as she grabbed some guns.

"Electrified the floor." Lena said. "Apparently he doesn't like being electrocuted." She said looking at the monitor where Lobo was lying on the floor. "But it is only go to slow him down." She added.

"Let's hope it slows him down enough for help to arrive." Eliza said.

As the older Alex sat in the helicopter she put on her headset and asked.

"What's happening?"

"All teams are nearly in place." Vasquez said. "Are we waiting for you?"

"No. As soon as they are ready they can go. I'll leave it to you."

"Understood." Vasquez said before asking more quietly. "Do you actually have a plan? I mean you are heading to the area with most Diasporans and we have no idea if the weapons will last more than a few shots."

"Hopefully they last long enough to get in, get Supergirl and get out." Alex said before asking. "How is she doing?"

"Still fighting, but she has lost the helmet. Her heart rate is through the roof, she's choking on the remnants of the Kryptonite gas and she is moving slow enough to take plenty of blows."

-00-

"He's through." Lena said. "If you want to go to the kids-"

"Even if it is only a minute I buy them, I will do them more good here." Eliza said.

"In which case, you might want this one." Lena said passing Eliza a gun. "It's a taser on speed."

"Thanks." Eliza said taking it just as Lobo walked into the room. Without thinking both Lena and Eliza fired at Lobo, whose's clothes started smoking as he stood very still. After a moment he asked, his body still rigid.

"Where's mini Supes?"

"You can't have her." Eliza said firing again. As Lena fired too Lobo dropped to his knees.

"Yer … .fun … too bad … no time." He ground out before dropping a grenade onto the floor. Seeing it both Eliza and Lena dived for cover behind a work bench.
