Our heroes are continuing on with their journey. They're heading to Washingburg City for Davis' second badge. For right now, they stopped at a local town and have made it to the Pokemon Center for a little rest.
"I was beginning to think we would never get to a Pokemon Center." Tetsu said as he just sat back.
"We can hang around here for a while and then head out. We need to stock up on supplies." Cletus said.
"And I need to make sure Imperialdramon and the others are ready for our upcoming gym battle." Davis said as he grabbed his pokeballs and went over to the desk. "Hello? Nurse Joy?"
"Coming." Nurse Joy said as she came out. "May I help you?"
"I just need you to take a look at my pokemon to see if they're in great shape." Davis said.
"Sure. I'll do that once I make sure the starter pokemon are in good shape themselves." Nurse Joy said.
"Starter pokemon?" Davis questioned.

(Davis' voice) Beginning Basics
"Starter pokemon? Do you mean the types of pokemon that new trainers can get?" Davis questioned.
"Yes. You're more than welcome to come see them if you like." Nurse Joy said.
"That sounds like it could be interesting." Imperialdramon said. "Cletus! Tetsu! Nurse Joy is saying we can see the starter pokemon she has here." Cletus and Tetsu liked the sound of that. Nurse Joy allowed them to follow her to meet these pokemon.
"Do you really give new trainers their first pokemon here?" Davis said.
"Not just any first pokemon either. Here in Centros, we have starter pokemon of all kinds that trainers can choose from." Nurse Joy said.
"I thought that was the responsibility of people like Professor Oak or Professor Maple." Davis said.
"Normally, yes. However, some Pokemon Centers do it for the more faraway towns." Cletus said. "Here in Centros, we don't have our own set of starter pokemon for beginning trainers. What we do is gather starter pokemon from other regions and hand them out like everywhere else. What's more is that each Pokemon Center that does this has a different set on them."
"I wonder what kind this one has." Tetsu said.
"You're about to see." Nurse Joy said as they entered a different part of the Pokemon Center and showed three pokeballs. in a machine. "It looks like all three of them are healthy and strong. Let me introduce you." She grabbed all three and they were all curious as to what pokemon they were. "Come on out." She released all three and showed them all.
"Snivy!"
"Tepig!"
"Oshawott!"
"Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott! Those are the three starter pokemon form Unova!" Cletus said. Davis wanted to know more and took out his pokedex.
"Snivy, the Grass Snake Pokemon. A grass-type. They gather sunlight through their tails for photosynthesis and are more adapt at using vines instead of their hands."
"Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokemon. A fire-type. It gathers fire in its nose and releases it in fireballs."
"Oshawott, the Sea Otter Pokemon. A water-type. The scalchop it carries is used for battle, but they can also use it to cut open hard berries."
"I take care of these three and give them out to new trainers." Nurse Joy said. "It looks like they're all doing rather well. Davis and the others were glad to see this. Just then, a phone was going off and Nurse Joy answered it. "Hello?" She heard the person on the other line and was shocked at what she was just told. "I'll be there as soon as I can."
"What's wrong?" Davis asked.
"A trainer just called in saying there's a sick and injured Tauros in need of help. I have to go, but I also need to watch over these three little ones." Nurse Joy said.
"We can watch them. You should get going." Cletus offered.
"You will? Thank you for this. All you really have to do is keep an eye on them." Nurse Joy said. Trusting Davis and his friends, she gathered some supplies she needed and hurried out. "Thank you for this. I'll be back as soon as I can!" She said as she ran out and left them to watch the little ones.
"You really think we can watch these three?" Tetsu questioned.
"How hard can it really be?" Davis said as he scratched Tepig's chin. "What kind of trouble can these three get us in?" Tepig and Oshawott didn't mind, but Snivy didn't really seem interested in what was going on. As it looked around, it got a little mischievous idea.
"Hey... What's Snivy there smiling about?" Imperialdramon questioned as he noticed it. Snivy put it's idea into play as it used Vine Whipe and was grabbing everything, smashing and throwing everything to the ground.
"Snivy, cut that out!" Davis called. He tried to stop it, but Snivy smacked him with the vines pretty good. Snivy was causing such havoc that it and the other two used it as a chance to run out.
"Oh no! They're running out!" Cletus said.
"Stop them!" Tetsu called as they hurried after those three, but the three little pokemon already ran out the door and scattered outside. This wasn't good at all. "Great! We were left in charge and we already messed it all up!"
"We've got to get those three back before Nurse Joy comes back!" Davis said.
"Davis is right. We need to find those three. Who knows what kind of trouble they could get in, especially since that Snivy seems to be a little prankster." Cletus said.
"How are we going to find them?" Tetsu questioned.
"Lillipup and Poochyena can track their scent. We've got their pokeballs that will allow them to do that." Cletus said. "Venonat can also use it's eyes to scan the areas for them. We'll be able to cover more ground if we split-up."
"Good idea. We need to find those three fast." Davis said as they were in a real situation and needed to fix it fast.

Cletus and Tetsu
Cletus and Tetsu had a look in one direction while Davis and Imperialdramon were searching a different part. With help from Lillipup tracking the little ones' scent, they kept their eyes open for anything.
"See anything?" Tetsu questioned.
"No, but as long as Lillipup keeps the scent, we should find them." Cletsu said. Lillipup kept leading the way until it got something and started barking across the river. They all looked and found one with Tepig stuck on a rock in the river. "There's Tepig!"
"How'd it get over there?!" Tetsu said.
"I don't know, but Tepig is obviously scared. Hang on, Tepig!" Cletus called as he hurried over and tried to make his way through the river as quickly as he could. Cletus tried rushing to the rock, but the water made it difficult. Either way, he soon made it and grabbed a hold of Tepig. "It's okay. I've got you." He said and tried carrying Tepig back to land without it getting wet. Just then, Tetsu looked down the river and could see shadows.
"Cletus! There's something in the water!" Tetsu shouted. Cletus looked and spotted Carvannah heading straight towards him, and they looked angy.
"Carvannah! Not good!" Cletus said as he tried to hurry, but was going to be close. The Carvannah are closing in fast. It didn't look like he was going to make it until Cletus got an idea. "Lillipup, use Roar and scare them away!" Lillipup did what Cletus said. Lillipup roared with all its might right at the Carvannah. The Carvannah got spooked and swam away in the other direction. Glad it worked, Cletus made it to the other side with Tepig safe.
"Is Tepig okay?" Tetsu questioned.
"Tepig, are you?" Cletus asked. Tepig stood straight up and looked pretty good.
"Tepig!"
"That's good to see." Cletus said as they were all glad Tepig wasn't hurt. That's one down and two to go.
...
Davis
Davis and Imperialdramon were searching around in another location for one of the other two with Poochyena and Venonat searching around.
"I don't get it. What got into that Snivy that it would do something like this?" Imperialdramon questioned.
"I'm not sure. Maybe it's just a little troublemaker who is trying to have something." Davis figured. "Either way, we need to find them and get them back to the Pokemon Center before we get into trouble...or they do."
"You really think they're around here?" Imperialdramon questioned.
"That's what Poochyena and Venonat seem to think. You two let me know if you see any of those pokemon." Davis said as his pokemon were searching around. Soon, both Poochyena and Venonat picked up on something and were alerted. "What is it? You two got something?"
"Osha!"
"Davis, up there!" Imperialdramon. Davis looked up on a cliff and saw Oshawott hanging by a branch.
"Oh no! Oshawott! What is it doing up there?!" Davis said as he didn't like the looks of this. Imperialdramon acted quickly and flew up to Oshawott. Once he got up there, he gently grabbed a hold of Oshawott.
"It's okay, Oshawott. We got you. I promise you that you're safe with us." Imperialdramon assured. Once he got a hold of Oshawott, he flew straight down and handed Oshawott over to Davis.
"We've got you. You're safe now." Davis said to try and soothe Oshawott. Either way, they're just glad they found it.
...
The Town
Once they managed to get Tepig and Oshawott, Davis and the others regrouped to make sure that those two would be safe and they could combine their efforts into finding the last one.
"Guys, we managed to get Oshawott. You guys have any luck?" Davis asked.
"Yeah. We got Tepig, so that only leaves Snivy." Tetsu said.
"But where could it be? Nurse Joy is going to be back any moment, but we have no sign of it. Where could Snivy be?" Cletus said. All of them had to figure out how they were going to find Snivy, but there might not be much time left. Just then, Poochyena and Lillipup picked up the scent of something. Once they got a hold of it, the two of them ran off.
"Hey! Where are those two going?" Davis questioned.
"Maybe they picked up on Snivy's scent." Tetsu said. Thinking this was their chance, they hurried after the two of them. They ran through some trees until they spotted the two pokemon barking up a tree. They all looked up and saw Snivy feasting on some apples. "There it is!"
"Hey! Snivy!" Davis called and got Snivy's attention. "Come on! It's time to go back to the Pokemon Center!" He claimed, but Snivy just pulled its eye down and stuck its tongue out at him. Snivy even took one of the cores it ate and through it right at Davis' head. "Hey!"
"That Snivy is a little brat." Tetsu said.
"I think it's more along the lines that Snivy just wants to have fun, not be bossed around." Cletus said.
"Whatever the reason it is, I don't really care. We need to get Snivy back to the Pokemon Center." Davis said and jumped on the tree. "Don't make me come up there and get you!" Snivy just laughed at him as it finished off another apple and tossed it away, but that was a mistake. It ended up hitting something behind the bushes and they could all hear something moving around back there. Unfortunately, it ended up being an Ursaring and it looked mad.
"Oh man! It's an Ursaring!" Tetsu said as they all knew an Ursaring means danger.
"Ring!" Ursaring tried attacking Davis, but Davis jumped off the tree just in time as Ursaring smashed its claws against the trunk.
"Hey! I'm not the one that threw it!" Davis said. Ursaring attacking that tree gave it a good shake that Snivy lost its balance and landed right on Ursaring's head. When Ursaring became aware of it, it tried looking right at Snivy and looked ready to attack it. "Uh oh! Poochyena, use Tackle to distract Ursaring!"
"Lillipup, Take Down!" Tetsu said. The two pokemon followed their commands and tackled against Ursaring and had Snivy thrown off of Ursarin, but Davis was able to catch it.
"For a little guy, you sure to cause a lot of trouble." Davis commented. Ursaring wasn't quite finished yet, and seemed even angrier. "Venonat, Supersonic! Quickly!"
"Venonat!" Venonat jumped in the air and used the attack with it hitting Ursaring and caused Ursaring to act all confused.
"Come on! Let's get out of here!" Davis said as this provided them the chance to run for it. The others certainly agreed as they all hurried and got out of there before Ursaring could do anymore. At least they managed to get Snivy back.

The Pokemon Center
"Thank goodness. We managed to get all three of them back." Tetsu said as he felt like he could breathe in relief as they were all on their way back to the Pokemon Center.
"I'm just glad they're all okay." Cletus said. "These three little pokemon will be important to someone someday for they will be their first pokemon."
"You can say that again. Hopefully, Snivy will be a little more well-behaved towards its trainer." Davis said.
"They might be a handful, but that's part of being a trainer. It's basic sense that you have to raise pokemon." Cletus said. "The pokemon they have might be little troublemakers, but it's all part of the fun in taking care of them. You'll also feel a sense of pride when they grow to become strong and amazing pokemon." They all certainly agree to that. This experience reminded them how difficult it is to raise pokemon, but it can be worth it. However, just as they got back, they saw Nurse Joy already came back and saw the mess that Snivy caused.
"What happened in here?!" Nurse Joy said as all of them felt like they were in trouble.
Although they might be in a bit of trouble, Davis and the others got to see an insight of what Centros is like with starter pokemon. On top of that, they managed to have a bit of an adventure in going after those little troublemakers. Raising a pokemon might not be easy, but it's all worth it. So, after facing Nurse Joy, they'll be back on their journey.
